Melvin Francis Duvall

Melvin Francis Duvall, 87, of New Haven, MO, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at his home.

Melvin was born in Perryville, MO on October 16, 1930, a son of the late Trumer and Hazel (Favier) Duvall.

He was the husband of Bernice Marie (Ahne) Duvall. They were united in marriage on July 19, 1955, in Tecoma, MS.

Melvin proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines. He was a member of Assumption Church, New Haven, and of the New Haven American Legion.

He worked at Metal Craft in New Haven as a supervisor for many years. In his free time he enjoyed trout fishing, going camping, doing wood working and mostly spending time with his family.

Melvin is survived by his wife Bernice, of the home, by a daughter, Kathy Kasten, of Perryville, MO; by a son, David Duvall and wife Donna, of New Haven; by daughter, Barbara Zerr and husband Joe, of Hermann; by a son, Thomas Duvall and wife Daina, of New Haven; and a son Timothy Duvall and wife Rebecca, of New Haven; by two sisters, Judy Ponder and husband Eddie, of Perryville, MO and Nadine Branson, of New Haven, and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, by three brothers, William, Clarence "Cotton", and Richard Duvall and by two sisters, Mary Lou Zellner and Glenda Duvall.

Visitation was to be held Tuesday, November 21 from 4-8 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.

Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Assumption Church, New Haven, with Father John Deken officiating.

Burial was to be at Assumption Cemetery, New Haven. Memorials may be given to Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society or New Haven American Legion.
