Myra Modglin, 59, of Bourbon, Missouri passed away early Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan.

Myra Marie was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 30, 1960, to the late Edward M. Crawford and Marian J. Brosh. She attended Northwest High School in House Springs, Missouri and was in the graduating class of 1979. Myra was united in marriage to Jerry Modglin on September 22, 1984 in Fenton, Missouri. She was employed by Wallace Oil and worked in their Human Resources Department. Myra had a love for horses, dogs and chickens. She enjoyed horseback riding and attending horse shows. She also loved to work in the garden and enjoyed canning.

Myra is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jerry Modglin; one sister, Marietta Secrest of Leasburg, Missouri; two brothers, Bruce Crawford of Lonedell, Missouri, and Brian Crawford and wife, Linda, of High Ridge, Missouri; mother and father-in-law, Dollie and Asile Modglin of New Haven, Missouri; sister-in-law, Pam Bendler and husband, Kevin, of Cedar Hill, Missouri; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Crawford; her mother and stepfather, Marian and Joseph Melenbrink; two brothers, Donald and Harold Crawford; one nephew, Kayleb Briggs; and sister-in-law, Tracy Crawford.

Myra’s wishes were for her body to be donated to science. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
