Noel E. Shoemaker

Noel E. Shoemaker, 80, of Hermann, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Hermann Area District Hospital.

Noel was born in Cuba, Missouri on March 8, 1941, the son of the late Johnathan & Melva (Dotson) Shoemaker.

He was the husband of Kathryn L. (Slocum) Shoemaker. They were united in marriage on July 2, 1960.

Noel started his career working at Hawthorne. He has also worked for McDonnell Douglas, owned the Silver Dollar Restaurant in Swiss and worked in residential construction.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mowing grass and working on the farm.

Noel is survived by his wife Kathryn Shoemaker, of Hermann, Missouri; a daughter, Rebecca Purdy & husband Arthur, of New Haven, Missouri; two sons, Jeffrey Shoemaker & wife Cheryl, of New Port Richey, Florida; and Jerry Shoemaker & wife Sherry, of Gerald, Missouri; two sisters, Lois Scego, of Owensville, Missouri; and Frances Williamson, of Washington, Missouri, by seven grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gerald Shoemaker, and a sister, Karen McGee.

No services will be held at this time. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
