Patricia Ann Kappelmann

Patricia Ann Kappelmann, 81, of New Haven, MO, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at New Haven Care Center.

Pat was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 16, 1942, the daughter of the late Alvin & Loretta (Vollmer) Helling.

She was the wife of Donald Kappelmann.  They were united in marriage on May 13, 1961, at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Port Hudson.

Pat was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, New Haven and Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Port Hudson. She was an officer of LWML and she helped organize Advent by Candlelight. 

In her free time Pat enjoyed cake decorating, gardening, being in the outdoors and doing research for family genealogy.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her husband, Don Kappelmann, of New Haven, Missouri; two daughters, Brenda Bailey, of New Haven, Missouri; and Janice Gradel & husband Jeff, of Washington, Missouri; a sister, Shirley Brune & husband John, of New Haven, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kristina Jones & husband James, of Marthasville, Missouri; Jeffrey Gradel, Jr. & wife Jenny, of Washington, Missouri; Jason Gradel & wife Shelby, of New Haven, Missouri; and Ashleigh Riegel & husband Adam, of Berger, Missouri, and 10 great grandchildren, Bailey, Emma, Fletcher, Olivia, Lexi, Lola, Sawyer, Theo, Lane and Marleigh.  She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Alvin "Sonny" Helling Jr.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 13th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Port Hudson, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m.

Burial is at Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Ebenezer Lutheran Church (high school fund) or New Haven Care Center.   Arrangements were under the direction of Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
