Robert B. Wagenbach

Robert B. Wagenbach, 74, resident of Milford, NH died at the Elliot Hospital on February 19, 2022 after a period of declining health.

He was born on December 30, 1947 in St. Louis, MO, a son of the late Bruce and Dorothy (Scheer) Wagenbach.

Robert was raised and educated in Missouri. After graduating New Haven High School, he attended Central Methodist College in Missouri and then went on to enter the United States Army and faithfully serve his country in an active-duty role in Vietnam during 1970 and 1971 followed by reserve duty until he was honorably discharged in 1975.

He worked for many years for several railroad companies, most recently with the Springfield Terminal Railway Company (based in North Billerica, MA) as an Engineer.  When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed hiking, shopping, fishing and being a collector. He was married to Richelle (Mecaydor) and together they made their home in Milford.

In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his sister, Sherry Wagenbach in 2014.

Survivors include his wife, Richelle of Milford, NH, sister, Debra and husband Ken Grannemann of Virginia, his nieces, Sarah Grannemann, Tiffany and her husband Dan Chapa and his grand-niece Vivienne Dogbatse, and grand-nephews Justin and Mark Chapa and many close friends and colleagues.

SERVICES: Calling hours were held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH 03055.  A short funeral service was held at 3:45 p.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home with Military Honors to follow. Burial was private for the family.
