Ruben Edwin Pollmann

Ruben Edwin Pollmann, 77, of Owensville, MO, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at his residence.

He was born on June 20, 1942, to Benjamin and Sophie (Bock) Pollmann at Bay.

He was united in marriage to Mona Schaefferkoetter on April 26, 1963, at Rosebud Methodist Church.

Ruben served his country with the United States Army; was a member of Rosebud Methodist Church; he enjoyed woodworking, embroidering quilt blocks, and going to casinos.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Sophie Pollmann; wife, Mona Pollmann; sisters, Charlene Grus and LaVerne Fitzgerald and Dorothy and Ethel Pollmann in infancy; and nephew, Michael Grus.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Brune and husband Michael of Rosebud; brothers-in-law, Herb Fitzgerald of Canaan and Dennis Schaefferkoetter and wife Sandy of Rosebud; nieces, Doris Ownby, Carol Bailie, Carrie LaParry, and Sara Kemp; nephews, Keith Grus and Steven Grus; honorary grandson, Cody Boehm and honorary great-grandsons, Rayden and Emerson Boehm.

Funeral services were on Monday, July 1 at Gottenstroeter Chapel with Pastor John Roach officiating. Burial was in Rosebud Methodist Cemetery with full military honors.
