Shamrocks Sprint, Leap, And Throw In Hermann And At Home

Track & Field season continues for the Shamrocks, sprinting, leaping and throwing at the Hermann Invitational on Tuesday, April 27 and at home for the New Haven Tri-Meet Thursday, April 29.

At the Hermann Invitational, there were quite a few top ten finishes, but Alaina Scott earned third in Pole Vault with a score of 9-00.25.

Two days later, the Shamrocks faced off against Calvary Lutheran and Chamois High Schools.

For the boys, Adam Hoemeyer took first in the Long Jump, Colin Steinbeck took second for both Discus and Shot Put, Hunter Tallent took first in the 1600 Meter Run, Jack Feldmann threw the Javelin into the second and the Shot Put into third place, then John Liggett leapt into first in the High Jump. Jose Romo-Vazquez took second in the Long Jump, then Lane O’Hern snagged first in the Pole Vault. Logan Williams took second in the 400 Meter Dash. The boys took second in both the 4x400 and the 4x800 Meter Relays.

The ladies also had an array of successes. They took first in both the 4x100 and the 4x800 Meter Relays, then second in the 4x400 Meter Relay. Alaina Scott took first in Pole Vault, then second in the High Jump. Aubri Meyer ended up taking second in Shot Put, with Ava Oelrichs taking third in Pole Vault. Brande Kubiak dashed into second for the 200 Meter, then Casey Baker took second in the 100 Meter Dash and first in the High Jump. Elizabeth Luecke ended up in third in Triple Jump. Ellie Westermeyer threw the Discus into second and the Javelin into first. Emily Delgado took first into the 100 Meter Hurdles, and Emma McIntyre was first in the 1600 Meter Run. Grace Faris was another first place win in the 200 Meter Dash, then took the Pole Vault into second. Haleigh Niemann sprinted into second for the 3200 Meter Run with Hannah Borcherding also dashing into second for the 400 Meter Dash. Kyra Mauntel jumped over hurdles for the 100 Meter and 300 Meter, ending up in third and first respectively. Lexi Feldmann threw the Discus into first and Lucy Hoener speared the Javelin into third. Madison Langenberg ended up in third for the 800 Meter Run, and Mekela Waters also ended up in third for Shot Put. Peyton Sumpter placed first in both the Triple Jump and the Long Jump, with Tessa following behind for third in the Long Jump. Tressa Carver took third and first, respectively, for the 1600 Meter and 3200 Meter Runs.
