Volleyball Battles In Two FRC Clashes
New Haven’s volleyball program (16-8-2) battled two conference teams in the second-to-last week of the regular season.
St. James
The varsity Shamrocks kicked off their week with a rout over St. James (0-24). On Tuesday, Oct. 8, they swept them in all three sets: 25-6, 25-7 and 25-11.
Katie Holtmeyer racked up a team-high 10 points. She dominated with ten attacks, six kills, 2 aces and two blocks.
Alayna Lagemann led New Haven with 11 attacks. The senior also executed 7 points, six kills and a block.
Morgan Guehne assisted with the most scores with 13. She also grabbed nine attacks, 3 points, two kills and an ace.
Isabella Groner unleashed seven attacks.
The junior varsity team swept the Lady Tigers 25-17 and 25-13.
Pacific
New Haven’s varsity team dropped all three sets against Pacific (19-5-1) on Thursday, Oct. 10. They fell 25-11, 25-10 and 25-10.
Stats were unavailable at press time.
The C team fell to Pacific by scores of 25-16 and 25-20, while junior varsity lost 25-7 and 29-27.
