State Dedicates Lyndon Ebker Memorial Bridge

Killed In MoDOT Work Zone

The message was clear Wednesday as MoDOT dedicated the Highway 100 bridge over Big Boeuf Creek  to fallen employee Lyndon Ebker:  Slow down and be careful in highway work zones.

Ebker was struck by a motorist and killed on the bridge on April 7, 2016, while cleaning off winter salt and grime with his MoDOT work crew.

At last week’s ceremony, a large contingent of Beaufort road workers, family members,  MoDOT and state dignitaries were on hand at the Beaufort maintenance shed to dedicate the bridge in his memory, and unveiling one of the Lyndon Ebker Memorial Bridge signs that were installed at the bridge that same morning.
