2002 Hit Ranked the 'Most Depressing Rock Song Ever'
The genre of rock music isn't necessarily known for having tear-jerking tunes. However, there are still quite a few rock songs that are extremely tragic.
In April 2026, Far Out magazine showcased this by releasing a list of the "10 most depressing rock songs ever." The ranking featured sad songs such as 1975's "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin's 1979 classic, "All My Love," Fleetwood Mac's "Songbird, released in 1977, and "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton, released in 1992.
The publication rankedJohnny Cash's 2002 "Hurt" as the "most depressing rock song" of all time. Far Out reported that Cash's Nine Inch Nails cover is especially painful, as it seems that the famed country singer, who died in 2003 at 71, had a deeply personal connection to the song and was lamenting his past behavior by reciting the lyrics.
Producer Rick Rubin Shared Behind-the-Scenes Information About Why Johnny Cash Recorded 'Hurt' in 2025"Hurt" is the second track off of Cash's last album, 2002's American IV: The Man Comes Around. In a 2025 interview with Rick Beato,Rick Rubin, who co-produced the record with Cash, shared that he had recommended that the "I Walk the Line" singer record "Hurt." Rubin explained that he chose "Hurt" "because of the lyrics," which Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor penned.
"If you listen to the words, if you forget the music, if you forget what Nine Inch Nails sounds like, and you just read it like a poem, and you imagine a 70-year-old man reading these lyrics, it'll be profound. It is profound," said the record producer.
Rubin also noted that Reznor was in his late 20s when Nine Inch Nails recorded the original 1995 song.
"When you are 20 years old talking about regret, it's heartbreaking, but it's heartbreaking in a different way because you have your whole life to figure it out. When you are looking back over your life at the end of your life, with regret, it's brutal," stated Rubin in the 2025 interview.
Nancy Guthrie Breaking Update: Authorities on Scene After Bones Found 15 Miles From Her Home
On Thursday, May 7, authorities arrived at an area about 15 miles from Nancy Guthrie's home after a YouTube livestreamer in the area found what appeared to be a bone.
According to Fox News Digital's Mike Ruiz, the bone was, in fact, human, but was determined to be "prehistoric."
"The bone found near Craycroft and River was determined to be human. This will be a prehistoric anthropological investigation. The University of Arizona's Anthropology Department and the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner assisted. This is not a criminal investigation," read a statement from the Tucson police department.

— Michael Ruiz (@mikerreports) May 7, 2026Many social media users were curious about the bone and wondered if it could have been connected to the Guthrie case. About 10 minutes after Ruiz reported that authorities had arrived on the scene, yellow tape was put up to secure a perimeter. Just a few minutes later, however, Ruiz reported that the bone was unrelated to the Guthrie case.
Guthrie, 84, has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1. Investigators believe that she was abducted from her home in the Catalina Foothills of Arizona, about six miles north east of Tucson.
In a recent interview with KVOA, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos shared an update on the case.
"The reward money is still thereâitâs there for a reason. We think somebody out there knows something. We know they do. We know someone out there knows what happened. Call us," Nanos said.
Anyone with information about Guthrie's whereabouts or the person or persons responsible for her disappearance are asked to call the FBI (1-800-CALL-FBI).

Sally Field Said Robin Williams âWasnât Funnyâ When Filming âMrs. Doubtfire' in 1993
When Sally Field appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on May 6, she spoke about her time filming the 1993 hit film, Mrs. Doubtfire. The comedy, which was about a divorced father who disguises himself as a nanny in order to spend time with his children, starred Field and Robin Williams as exes. Pierce Brosnan also appeared, playing her characterâs new love interest.
âI would never laugh, ever,â Field said, when discussing her time filming alongside Williams, one of the most famous comedians in the world. âAnd everybody else was laughing and carrying on.â
She went on to explain how her failure to break character would bother Williams, who is known for improvising and trying to get the people around him to crack. âIt drove him mad, actually,â she said. âIt wasn't funny. It just wasn't funny.â

She continued, âRobin was always trying something different to make me laugh. It was so unfunny. I can't begin to tell you. And then Pierceâwonderful Pierce Brosnanâwe were sitting at a table at the restaurant, and he made a fart noise on his arm. And I was gone. That was it.â
Field spoke about another thing that drove her âmadâ about Williams in an exclusive interview with People. âHe'd also drive you mad because he wouldn't stop," she said. "We'd have to do the scene, we did the scene exactly how it was, it was wonderful, it was done. He would say, âHow about this time if I'm crawling through the kitchen window, and then...?' âRobin, why would you be crawling through the kitchen window?'â
However, she also spoke about how kind he was when her father died. After she had been given the news, he realized that something was wrong while they were filming a courtroom scene. When he asked if she was okay, she broke down in tears and told him that her father just died.
"Robin turned around," she said, explaining how he addressed the director and the production team. ââThat's it for the day, guys! We're wrapped here. You can get a few shots at the kids and maybe one of Mrs. Doubtfire, but Ms. Field's going home.' And he walked me out. That was Robin.â
Williams died by suicide in 2014 at the age of 63.
1986 Hit, That Saved This Singerâs Career, Ranked Among 'Greatest Rock Duets'
Eddie Money made a name for himself in the '70s with hit singles. When it came to entering the '80s, the iconic singer experienced a lag in his career that was revived thanks to an unsuspecting rock duet with Ronnie Spectorthat was a success on the charts.
By the mid-1980s, Money's career wasn't at its peak due to a series of drug issues that pushed Columbia Records to limit his creative control over his tracks. Wanting to still keep him on as one of their artists, the track "Take Me Home Tonight" was suggested to the singer. The pop-rock track would cause a resurgence of Money's career, landing at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It did land at No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock charts.
UltimateClassicRock tagged "Take Me Home Tonight" at No. 13 on their list of the Greatest Rock Duets. The track was iconic for a few reasons, as it pushed Spector to come out of retirement and perform once again. Songwriters Mick Leeson and Peter Vale developed the track with producer Richie Zito having introduced it to Money.
Reports claim that Money wasn't interested in the demo, but was intrigued by how it interpolated Spector's 1963 hit "Be My Baby." It soon led Money to agree to record the track and had the idea of wanting the music icon to record it as a duet, singing her original parts. Many called it impossible, with Money instead asking Martha Davis to record the lyrics.

Money was still urged to try and get Spector on board, with her having commented, "He called me and said, 'Ronnie, I need your help with this. It needs you to be on it. I said, 'Baby, I don't do that anymore,' but he was insistent." Spector had originally stopped performing in 1968 when she married Phil Spector, with Money recalling her saying she was retired and needed to take care of her children.
"I said 'Ronnie, I got this song that's truly amazing and it's a tribute to you. It would be so great if you ... did it with me,'" recalled the singer.
"Take Me Home Tonight" ended up being the spark Money needed to bring his career back on top, with the track having been his highest charting success. It led him to receive a nomination for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance at the 29th Annual Grammy Awards.
The track also holds significance as it pushed Spector to return to music and released her second solo album, Unfinished Business. By then, she was already divorced from Spector and married to Jonathan Greenfield.
'60s Music Icon's Naked Dress at Met Gala Stays Relevant 52 Years Later
Long before the 2026 Met Gala filled the red carpet with a sultry sheer ensemble, Cher mastered the art of ânaked dressingâ by showcasing a chic and creative approach to the provocative look.
With the annual ceremony, known as fashionâs biggest night out, celebrities, Hollywood royalty, music icons, elite athletes and fashion key figures gathered for a spectacular event showcasing the yearâs most daring and exquisite haute couture creations.
As for the Goddess of Pop, Cher never failed to captivate the public and media with her iconic ensembles, including her daring 1974 Met Gala look, which was included among the â20 most naked dressesâ to ever grace the event.
InStyle released a list of well-known Met Gala naked dresses, citing looks worn by Doja Cat, Elizabeth Hurley, BeyoncĂ©, to legendary stars like Linda Evangelista and of course, the âI Could Turn Back Timeâ hitmaker.
According to the publication, the sequined Bob Mackie gown worn by Cher was the first transparent ensemble to appear on the red carpet.
The custom-made body-hugging gown embodied the theme "Romantic and Glamorous Hollywood Design,â featuring a nude-toned silhouette that sparkled with strategically placed embellishments.

The designer also added voluminous white feathered details on the sleeves and hem, making the red carpet look more dramatic.
Although it redefined red carpet dressing, Cherâs Met Gala look also sparked controversy at the time, as it was considered scandalous and highly provocative.
In a documentary, Bob Mackie: Naked Illusion, the designer revealed what pushed him to create such a visionary look.
âI said to her, âWhat do you want to wear to that, to the Metropolitan, when we go there?â â he shared, adding, âShe wanted me to go with her and I said, âI'll go with you. But what do you want to wear? You have to wear something that we've done.â And she pauses and says, âI want to wear the dress with the feathers.ââ
After this, Cher appeared multiple times wearing sheer gowns, which made Vogue name her âQueen of the Naked Dress.â
This includes another remarkable Met Gala look in 1985, where she wore another Bob Mackie gown but this time, a high-neck, long-sleeve bodysuit with intricate gold and silver sequined detailing paired with a wrapped black skirt with a gold design.

After 11 years since her last Met Gala appearance, her red carpet outfit was a nod to her iconic 1974 "naked dress," but this time in an all-black silhouette.

Iconic Rockers Named âGreatest Bandâ of Rockâs âGolden Decadeâ
The 1970s represented what BBC Music Magazine recently called rockâs âgolden decade,â an era when albums became ambitious artistic statements and bands evolved into global cultural forces. In a new ranking of the 15 greatest bands of the 1970s, the publication celebrated the artists that helped define the sound, spectacle and attitude of the decade.
Before revealing the who was named to the top slot, let's take a look at which bands made the Top 5.

Landing at No. 5 was Queen, praised for blending âheavy metal, vaudeville, and classical music into massive stadium anthems.â The publication highlighted frontman Freddie Mercuryâs âincomparable four-octave rangeâ and the bandâs theatrical live performances that changed expectations for arena rock.
At No. 4, Fleetwood Mac earned recognition for turning personal turmoil into immaculate pop-rock craftsmanship. The magazine pointed to Rumours as the defining example, calling the bandâs ability to transform collapsing relationships into timeless radio staples part of its enduring mystique.
The No. 3 spot went to The Rolling Stones, whose run from Sticky Fingers through Some Girls was described as the blueprint for the rock-star lifestyle. According to the ranking, the band remained âdangerous throughout the entire following decadeâ while many of its contemporaries softened or drifted into trends.

Just missing the top spot was Pink Floyd at No. 2. The magazine singled out the groupâs immersive, conceptual albums, especially The Dark Side of the Moon, which famously stayed on the charts for nearly 15 years. Their sprawling soundscapes and philosophical themes helped redefine what a rock album could be in the 1970s.
But the No. 1 position ultimately went to Led Zeppelin, which the publication called the âundisputed champions of the 1970s.â The ranking praised the band for becoming âthe biggest band on the planet,â breaking attendance records once held by The Beatles and setting the standard for hard rockâs golden age.
Related: 1974 Rock Hit Sent a 1962 Classic Back to No. 1 52 Years Ago Today
The magazine credited the groupâs legendary chemistry, from Jimmy Pageâs towering riffs and production work to Robert Plantâs unmistakable vocals, John Paul Jonesâ versatility and John Bonhamâs thunderous drumming. It also highlighted the bandâs âflawless sequenceâ of 1970s albums, including Led Zeppelin IV and Physical Graffiti, as proof of its unmatched creative run.
For generations of rock fans, the debate over the greatest band of the 1970s will never really come to an end. But according to BBC Music Magazine, no group better captured the scale, sound and ambition of the era than Led Zeppelin.
Their towering run of albums and arena-shaking live shows helped define an entire decade of rock music before the bandâs story was suddenly cut short following Bonhamâs death in 1980. Rather than continue without him, the remaining members chose to disband, sadly bringing one of rockâs most celebrated eras to an abrupt end.

1959 Rejected Novel Became the Greatest Horror Film of All Time
Give the master of suspense a rope, and heâll turn it into a masterpiece that leaves his critics gasping.
When Alfred Hitchcock set out to adapt Robert Blochâs Psycho, released in the spring of 1959, he did so against industry skeptism. The book was widely dismissed as low-brow pulp fiction, and Hollywood studios were wary of its dark, controversial subject matter.
Underestimated, Hitchcock forged ahead and delivered a gem The Guardian and American Film Institute would later rank as the greatest horror movie of all time.
View this post on InstagramAlthough Blochâs novel was generally well received within genre circles, mainstream critics at the time didnât warm to the lurid subject matter â a story centerd on a deeply disturbed killer running a secluded motel. Inspired in part by the notorious crimes of real-life 1950s Wisconsin murderer Ed Gein, the novel pushed beyond typical suspense fiction with much more graphic and unsettling prose. Hollywood hated it even more, with French auteur Francois Truffaut famously calling the book âamateurish and implausible,â SFF World shares.
Even Hitchcockâs screenwriter, Joseph Stefano, reportedly âhatedâ the book, despite staying incredibly loyal to the text with his screenplay. Paramount Pictures, for its part, were initially reviled by the source material, putting up significant resistance because the studio considered Psycho to be too sordid and unmarketable. Not to mention a censorship nightmare. Rejecting Hitchcockâs project, Paramount stripped his funding and banned him from film on the studioâs lots.Â
Sixty years old and working on a shoestring budget, Hitchcock still managed to make the most remarkable film of his career. Starring Janet Leigh, Anthony Perkins, and Vera Miles, the director saved money by shooting on Universal Studios' lots, stretching his Alfred Hitchcock Presents TV crew, and filming in black and white, saying the monochrome look will âhave so much more impact.â
It was only after Hitchcockâs masterpiece that the novel was finally recognized for its structural genius and psychological horror, eventually hailed as a groundbreaking exploration of insanity.
Thereâs a fun anecdote about Hitchcock and Psycho. According to Variety, Hitchcock bought as many copies of the novel as he could so the twist ending wouldnât be spoiled. Seems like he was successful in keeping the secret. When the film was released in 1960, audiences were blindsided by the filmâs twists and turns. Early reactions described unprecedented shock, terror, and astonishment. The film was an instant success, redefining the horror film blueprint and outmaneuvering Hollywood on his own terms.

How Stanley Tucci's 'Devil Wears Prada 2' Zinger Led to a TJ Maxx Collab
Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway lead the charge in The Devil Wears Pradamovies, but co-star Stanley Tucci is often in the mix stealing scenes.
The Oscar-nominated actor, 65, reprised his role as Runway magazine staffer and art director Nigel in The Devil Wears Prada 2. And thank goodness for that.
In the brand-new sequel, Andy (Hathaway) makes her return to the magazine at one point, and Nigel chimes in, âLook what TJ Maxx dragged in.â Add that to the list of Tucci's epic one-liners across both films.
Don't let the jab fool you, however. The renowned actor and director is now turning the quote on its head and embracing being a âMaxxinistoâ in a new ad campaign with the longtime retailer.
"They came to me just a little while ago, and they said, âWould you want to do this commercial?â And I thought it was really funny, Tucci told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview article published Thursday, May 7. "We got Ryan Reynoldsâ company [Maximum Effort] involved in it, who shot it, directed it, came up with a concept with TJ Maxx folks."
He continued, "I just thought it was so funny, smart. I was like, why not? If you can go to a store and buy designer goods for a lot less and youâre gonna get them in the shop itself, I have no problem with that!"
"Stanley Tucci sets the record straight about TJ Maxx," reads the caption of TJ Maxx's YouTube upload of the all-new commercial on Thursday, May 7. "He now stands corrected and very well dressed." Check it out below.

The show stars Alex Brightman as Dr. Josh Skinner, a surgeon. Brightman said that Skinnerâs biggest quality is an aversion to musical theater, which he said is âcounter to [his] entire life.â
âAs such a lover of musical theater, there is something very difficult about being in the show, watching this happening and trying to remember that I have to hate what I'm watching,â Brightman said in an interview with Broadway Buzz. However, he called the show's environment a âjoy bomb.â

View this post on InstagramThe 'Poo-nami' Problem: How Sewage Is Ruining a Beloved California Beach
People from near and far have traditionally flocked to the famed Coronado Beach in San Diego for an idyllic escape. The upscale resort town boasts pristine sands, turquoise waters, and the iconic Hotel del Coronadoâwhere rooms cost upwards of $1,000 per night. But lately, paradise has a decidedly unpleasant smell.
As many as 38 million gallons of wastewater per day from Mexico have increasingly rendered this idyllic seaside hub off-limits, turning what should be one of California's most beautiful beaches into a public health crisis, one which some are referring to as âpoo-namiâ (yes, it's okay to chuckle.) And it's not just the water that's the problemâit's the air, too.
Related: This State Has Some of the Most Beautiful Beaches in the CountryâAnd Itâs Not Florida
When Paradise Turned ToxicIn 2025, the beaches in front of the historic Hotel del Coronado were shuttered for 129 days due to the fecal flood, many of these during peak summer. For a destination whose entire economy depends on tourism and recreation, that's devastating.
Even non-beachgoers aren't spared. The entertainment director at the Coronado Shores condo community told the NY Post that he's forced to close his windows several times a week to keep out the sewer-like odors wafting from the contaminated waters.
While Coronado Beach is still open, there are multiple warning signs around the water due to high levels of bacteria that may cause illness.
Why Is Coronado Beach Dealing With This? The culprit is the Tijuana River, which carries wastewater directly into the Pacific. While Tijuana's sewage has affected the U.S. for years, pollution has surged amid a population boom in the border town, whose population has more than doubled over the past 30 years to 2.3 million, straining its wastewater resources.
The problem extends beyond beach closures. According to a recent survey cited in the NY Post, symptoms of exposure to hydrogen sulfide gas included respiratory issues, headaches, stomach illness, and even cognitive issues such as difficulty concentrating. Children are reportedly waking up with headaches, seniors are struggling to breathe, and residents describe feeling like prisoners in their own homes.
San Diego County Board of Supervisors Paloma Aguirre has called it the "worst environmental disaster in the United States" and called on Governor Gavin Newsom to declare a State of Emergency for the Tijuana River crisis.
What Are They Doing About It?The Trump Administration says it's taking action. The administration negotiated two new agreements with Mexicoâthe Memorandum of Understanding in July 2025 and Minute 333 in December 2025âcommitting both sides to speed up project timelines. The EPA also completed a 100-day expansion of the South Bay International Wastewater Treatment Plant, which prevents an additional 10 million gallons per day of raw sewage from reaching U.S. waters.
But for Coronado residents and the tourists who used to flock there, these improvements have come too late.Â
Sally Field Reveals the Film Her Ex Burt Reynolds Didnât Want Her To Do: âHe Threw the Script at Me'
Sally Field is looking back on the downfall of her relationship with Burt Reynolds and the movie that made her realize their time together was ending.
The legendary film and television actress, 79, is known for roles ranging from Mrs. Doubtfire and Forrest Gump to Not Without My Daughter and Absence of Malice. While she got her start in the â60s as Gidget and The Flying Nun, she progressed into a layered career filled with tremendous roles that solidified her as one of Hollywoodâs most talented actresses. Now back with the Netflix adaptation of Remarkably Bright Creatures, based on Shelby Van Peltâs 2022 blockbuster novel of the same name, Field is looking back on one of her Oscar-winning roles: 1979's Norma Rae.
âIt was the beginning of me pulling away when he didn't want me to do Norma Rae, called her a whore, and it was because she had some sexual past. He threw the script at me," Field told PEOPLE. "He wanted to control me, and because I was standing up, he said, 'Boy, you're letting this get the better of you.' And I said, 'This is the better of me.' And I went and I met with [director] Marty Ritt. I did the film. But it was the beginning of me finding my legs."
Reynolds didn't want her to promote the film at the Cannes Film Festival, but she went anyway.
"It was a standing ovation for like 10 minutes, and I started to cry," Field shared. "I just was like, 'What?' After I had worked so hard to get out of television, to even be considered for anything, and here I was."
When she won the Oscar for the role, Reynolds refused to attend. Ultimately, they broke up for good by 1982.
âBeing Norma at that time was exactly what I needed, because to learn how to stand in her shoes, I think I said this, I could feel my own legs,â says Field. âI could feel my body getting stronger. Because I was having to portray how she grew up, I started to grow up, and I eventually just wouldn't be manipulated and humiliated like that. And ultimately I left.â

âTeen Momâ Star Catelynn Baltierra Calls Out âDisgustingâ Adults for Body-Shaming Carly Online
Teen MomâsCatelynn Baltierra has something to say about body shamers. The 34-year-old recently revealed that âcertain pagesâ were stealing photos of her first child, Carlyâs, prom pictures. And as if that wasnât bad enough, Baltierra claims adults are now body-shaming the 17-year-old.
Catelynn and her now-husband, Tyler Baltierra, rose to fame after filming MTVâs 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom. As original cast members from the showâs first season, the coupleâs story featured a heartwrenching journey of hard decisions, ups, and downs. Unlike the other teen moms, Catelynn chose adoption for her daughter, Carly. And while Carlyâs adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa, did appear on 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom, the relationship eventually became strained, and they stopped filming the show.

(Photo by Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images) The âTeen Momâ Reality TV Star Slams Adults for Skinny-Shaming a ChildEven though Carly hasnât been on camera in years, the seriesâs fans and followers still seem to find photos of her. And according to Catelynn, this isnât okay.
Baltierra posted a video to TikTok earlier in the week, saying, âWhy do grown adults feel the need to comment on childrenâs and minorsâ bodies, okay? First of all, saying that she looks like a skeleton, or she needs to eat cheeseburgers, or sheâs too skinny.â The reality TV star went on to add, âItâs disgusting. Arenât we grown here? Do you guys not realize that people can be skinny-shamed? Itâs not, you know, just a fat thing.â  Â
Catelynn continued slamming the adults who took to social media, body-shaming Carly, adding, âItâs horrible. Knock it off. Grow up. My children have very, very fast metabolisms, look at their father. Okay, skinnyâŠKeep your opinions to yourself when it comes to children. Itâs disgusting, and it needs to stop.â
Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra Have Faced a Body-Shaming Backlash BeforeÂThis isnât the first time the Baltierras have been at the center of a body-shaming controversy. In 2023, Tyler fiercely defended his wife when comments on one of his own selfies spurred a serious backlash. After Tyler posted before-and-after Instagram pics of his fitness journey, several Instagram users made outrageously negative (now-deleted) comments about Catelynn. Not only did Tyler defend her, but plenty of the coupleâs fans showed their support.
One commenter wrote, âNow that is a good man and husband right there! Societyâs messed up views on beauty is disgusting! Beauty comes from within and comes in all shapes and sizes!â Another added, âPeople are saying Cate should get in shape, anyone ever consider the woman has four childrenâŠshe looks amazing. Iâm over here still trying to lose the baby weight itâs been two yearsâŠLooking great you two. Always loved you guys when I watched the show.â

A sideboard is an especially useful piece of furniture that can give you extra storage to stash things you don't use all that often. Think servingware in your dining room, small appliances in the kitchen, or throw blankets in your living room. Depending on where you put it, these handy cabinets can also work as a TV stand or help organize your entryway. Right now, Walmart has a limited-time flash deal on a spacious sideboard with a mid-century modern design that shoppers are loving for organizing their homes.
Normally $220, the Marnur Sideboard Buffet Cabinet is now marked down 41%, dropping the price to just $130. It comes in three colors: black, oak, and walnut. All are currently on sale, so you can choose which style best suits your home's aesthetic without overspending.Â
This 55-inch-wide storage cabinet features two sliding doors made of fluted slats that flex individually, allowing the doors to roll smoothly around the sides of the cabinet, saving space while giving the piece its mid-century modern look. At 29.5 inches tall, its spacious tabletop is the perfect height for mixing drinks, making coffee, or displaying decor. Several shoppers even said they've stored kitchen appliances like stand mixers and air fryers on the nearly 16-inch-deep surface for easy access.
Adjustable shelves inside the cabinet's main compartment let you customize the space depending on what you need to store. You can leave the doors partially open to display what's inside or keep them completely shut to maintain a clutter-free appearance. These flexible siding doors can also be pushed all the way around the sides of the cabinet to reveal additional storage spaces on either side, where you can keep items neatly tucked away.Â
Reviewers said they've used the cabinet in numerous ways: in entryways and dining rooms, as kitchen storage, as a bar cart or coffee station, and to store gaming systems underneath a TV. Given the amount of storage space it offers, the options are endless.

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrianâs Relationship Timeline: From Affair and Fallout to 15-Year Marriage
Plenty of celebrities have cheated on their spouses, but few of them have been as candid about it as LeAnn Rimes, whose affair with Eddie Cibrian remains a central part of her narrative to this day. The two met on the set of the Lifetime movie Northern Lights in 2008, while she was married to Dean Sheremet and he was married to Real Housewives of Beverly Hillsalum Brandi Glanville, and struck up a romance that sent tabloids into overdrive.Â
"I did one of the most selfish things that I possibly could do, in hurting someone else," she said in 2010, publicly owning up to her infidelity for the first time. "I take responsibility for everything I've done. I hate that people got hurt, but I don't regret the outcome."
She and Cibrian went on to marry in 2011, and remain husband-and-wife to this day. Keep reading for a closer look at their complicated but long-lasting love story.
Who was LeAnn Rimesâ first husband?Rimes was married to Dean Sheremet, whom she met in 2001 when he was working as a backup dancer at the Academy of Country Music Awards. The pair married the following year, when Rimes was 19 and he was 21, and for a long stretch, they appeared to have one of country musicâs more stable marriages. In 2008, the year Rimes met Cibrian, they enthusiastically hosted a âseven-year itchâ party for friends and family.Â
âWe wanted to remember how blessed we are, and how excited we still are about each other,â Rimes told People at the time. âMy ankles and my feet hurt because I was jumping around on the dance floor so much!â Soon, she added, they would start a family.Â
But by July 2009 the young couple was separated amid reports of Rimesâ affair.Â
Speaking out in a 2015 interview with Natâs Next Adventure, Sheremet recalled the moment he realized his wife was stepping out on their marriage.
"There was this bar that everyone hung out at after set and I remember coming down the stairs and seeing the two of them shooting pool together,â he shared. âI could just tell by the body language that everything had changed. She's shooting pool, shooting tequila, in a tight tank, tight jeans, over the knee boots and she's standing across from him, playing with the pool cue ⊠My stomach dropped. I literally felt like I got hit."
After his divorce from Rimes, Sheremet studied at the French Culinary Institute and pivoted to becoming a successful chef and TV personality.Â
Why did LeAnn Rimes leave her first husband? The short version is that she fell in love with someone else; the long version is more complicated than that.
In an interview with Shape, Rimes said her relationship with Sheremet was âgreat, but ultimately it wasn't a fulfilling marriage for either of us.â
"We got married so young,â she continued. âI was 19 and he was 21, so as we got older, we grew apart."
Still, she didnât justify her infidelity. âI think any relationship is hard to get out of, and I don't think the way I did it was right,â she said.
For his part, Sheremet told Natâs Next Adventure that his marriage to Rimes had its cracks before her affair. One of the main problems? He abandoned his career for her.Â
"I was a professional dancer. She was a superstar. I knew that one of us had to sacrifice something to have a healthy marriage,â he said. "...It would have been unfair for where she was in her career for me to ask her to pump the breaks. I thought it would be better for me to take all of my creative energy and ideas and put it into her."
Eventually, that led to resentment. "I have my own dreams and goals and I felt like there wasn't room for me,â he explained. â..."As it went on, there were a lot of animosities that built up. I felt like I was never having my needs met so there was fighting.âÂ
Still, he wasnât expecting the âf--king disasterâ that befell their relationship. âEven though there was tension, we were still talking about the next chapter, about starting a family,â he shared. âI remember feeling earlier on like, 'I can't wait till 30. We'll have a kid, slow down a bit.ââ
Today, Sheremet shares son Atlas, who will be 8 in August, with ex-fiancĂ© Vanessa Black.Â
When did LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian start their affair? The relationship began while filming Northern Lights in 2008 and came to light in March 2009, after Us Weekly published pictures, taken from a video security camera, of Rimes and Cibrian having an intimate dinner at a Laguna Beach restaurant in March 2009. (They were seen holding hands and kissing.)Â
At first, both denied the rumors. âIt is a fabricated story that is using random snapshots as connective tissue to create a scandalous relationship,â a representative for Cibrian said at the time.Â
But by July 2009, their respective marriages were over and the media frenzy â and backlash â was relentless.
"It got really messy, but I have learned a lot from that and I'm not glad it happened, but I know why it did,â Rimes said in 2011. "I can't fight this public scrutiny," she added. "What happened is not who I am. It's not me at all."
Years later, she reflected on the public response in a 2025 interview with the wellness platform Flow Space.
âI realized very quickly that there are a lot of women whoâve been hurt. Like, Iâve been on both sides of that coin â Iâve been cheated on, too, so I know that feeling,â she said. âBut so many women donât know what to do with that anger⊠I was a target that was just easily projected upon. And once I realized that, things got a lot easier.â
When did LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian get married? The pair got married on April 22, 2011, in a private ceremony at a home in California. The couple had reportedly invited guests to what they said was an engagement party, only to surprise them with a wedding instead.Â
Marking their 15-year anniversary in 2026, Rimes wrote on Instagram, âDay by day, we walk hand in hand through the rollercoaster of life⊠and god, I'm so grateful that itâs with each other. We've been through so much in our 15 years as husband and wife. we know how to ride the waves đ, hold each other in times of need, mend what needs mending. I'm so proud of what we have created together. 15 years is just the beginning.â
View this post on Instagram What is the age difference between LeAnn Rimes and her husband?Thereâs a nine-year age gap. Rimes was born on Aug. 28, 1982, while Cibrian was born on June 16, 1973.Â
Did LeAnn Rimes ever have children? No, Rimes has never had biological children. Sheâs a stepmother to Cibrianâs two sons, Mason, 22, and Jake, 18, from his marriage to Glanville.
âPeople always assumed, âShe must not be able to have kids because sheâs not having kids,ââ the âHow Do I Liveâ singer said on Today. âIâm like, âThat has nothing to do with that.ââ
âI just felt so strange that there had to be a reason other than I don't want kids,â she continued. âThat should be reason enough. I didn't need anything to satisfy my own ego of âThis is my kid that I birthed or came from me.â It just didn't cross my mind. I was really happy raising his children and they're such great kids.â

Does LeAnn Rimes get along with Eddie Cibrianâs ex-wife, Brandi Glanville? Not exactly. Glanville fired shots at her ex husband and his new wife for years, and one of her most pointed complaints â that Rimes was "copying" her life â appears to be coming back around.
It all started in 2017, when Glanville accused Rimes of âharassment,â claiming the Grammy-winning artist was âobsessedâ with her. â[I have] really made an effort to take the higher road with Eddie and LeAnn for the sake of my boys," she said in a statement to The Dirty. Then she went on to claim that Rime was "copying my life from going to my dentist, dermatologist, plastic surgeon to even attempting to see my trainer of 14 years."
Cibrian shot back via a representative, saying in part, âI normally donât respond to Brandi's foolishness but I will not allow false and reverse accusations to go unanswered about my wife. LeAnn is a fantastic stepmom to the boys and is always gracious to their mother. Having to put up with Brandi's made up drama all the time is extremely frustrating.â
Eventually, the animosity seemed to fade, and in 2021, Glanville said that she and Rimes were âlike sister wives.âÂ
âEddieâs going to be in my life for the rest of my life,â she explained on an episode of the âHollywood Rawâ podcast with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn. âWe bicker still like weâre married when weâre not ⊠Itâs me and LeAnn and Eddie.â
âThe truth is LeAnn and I get along really well,â she admitted.Â
Cut to April 2026: Glanville openly criticized Rimes for sharing a video of her painful jaw release therapy. "I just don't know why you share that," Glanville said on her Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast. When cohost James Maas pointed out that Rimes had been sharing her health journey more broadly, Glanville shot back, "Oh, like me. So weird." (Glanville recently revealed that ruptured breast implants led to an infection that caused facial disfigurement.)
"Well, I hope she gets better,â Glanville concluded.
A month later, responding to rumors that Rimes was coming up in "casting conversations" for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Glanville reacted on X. "I hope it's true about RHOBH," she said. "I mean she got everything else of mine- husband, kids, boobs, bronco, random illnesses she might as well just be a housewife and finish it off once and for all."

Prince William and Kate Middleton Tour Schools as They Look for Prince Georgeâs Next Steps
Prince William and Princess Kate have been spotted at Oundle, a prestigious private boarding school, amid rumors that Prince George may attend in September.
The 12-year-old George and his two younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, currently attend Lambrook School in Berkshire, near the family home at Adelaide Cottage. Oundle School is reported by the likes of the Metro to be a frontrunner for Kate and William to send all three of their children.
"William and Kateâs visit was terribly exciting," a source told The Sun. "They are considering other schools, but people in Oundle have their fingers crossed that George will be starting here in September."
The school was founded in 1556 and is the third largest boarding school in the UK. The school charges over $61,000 a year for full-time boarding school students and prides itself on its traditional values, sports and music curriculum, and its eco-consciousness. Pupils can board from the age of 11 and have the opportunity to study Latin, Chinese and Ancient Greek.
View this post on InstagramThere is still a chance that the royal couple will send their children to either Eton, where Prince William and Prince Harry studied or Kateâs former school, Marlborough College, where Pippa and James Middleton also studied.
In March, the Prince and Princess were seen with the young heir on a tour of Marlborough College, where students were reportedly sent inside by a "highly stressed teacher", and the royals visited. A source told the Mail On Sunday that the teenagers were told to "go and sit in the library, or anywhere else, stressing they absolutely could not be outside."
In April, royal broadcaster Helena Chard told Fox Newsthere has been "much speculation surrounding Prince Georgeâs next school." She revealed that "discussions have been circulating" for a long time, with the Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly "arguing and debating the decision for years."
2005 Classic Nintendo Game Starring an Iconic Mario Character Was Released 21 Years Ago
Yoshi Touch & Go (which was called Catch! Touch! Yoshi! in Japan) was a 2005 video game for the Nintendo DS that allowed players to control where the characters went using the touch screen and microphone. Yoshiâs Island, which had a similar concept, was released on the Nintendo DS a year later, in 2006.
Unlike Yoshiâs Island, the player was not directly controlling the characters. Yoshi moved forward with a baby on his back while the player drew lines with a stylus to create âcloudsâ that helped them avoid obstacles and discover new routes. Players could also draw circles around the enemies to trap them in bubbles and blow into the microphone to eliminate clouds.
In an interview with Nintendo Online Magazine in 2005, game designer Keizo Ohta said, âThe conception started as Balloon Trip. We initially knew we wanted to incorporate drawing images as the integral game element. It was after E3 that Mr. Kimura and some other designers joined our group to further elaborate on our game idea. It was our collaboration that lead to the final product.â
He continued to explain that the game didnât use any buttons. âI wanted the game player to concentrate on drawing,â he said. âIt's an interesting way to control your character.â
The color of the Yoshi that you played as changed based on your score in the vertical section of the game, where you had to save a baby from falling and collect coins. The lowest score allowed you to play as a green Yoshi, but higher scores resulted in a blue, pink, yellow, red, black, orange, purple, or white character.
As one reviewer on Reddit said, âI love Yoshi Touch & Go. The only mode worth playing is Marathon but it's really fun seeing how far you can get. It's definitely the best in the Yoshi's Island series, with the obvious exception of the actual original Yoshi's Island game.â
Although some players believe this game worked well as an arcade experience, others were disappointed that there wasnât much of a story to it. As another review said, âI hated it as a kid because it had no replay value besides getting a higher score.â
The game, which was originally released 21 years ago, was re-released on the Wii U Virtual Console in 2015.
Brendan Fraser Has a Roller Coaster Confession About 'Mummy 4' Prep
Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, Brendan Fraser confirmed that The Mummy 4 is officially happening, and that he's already started preparing the only way that made sense. By riding the Universal Studios attraction built around the original films.
'I heard that to get you in character for the role, Universal took you to your ride,' Fallon said, flashing a photo of Fraser aboard the Revenge of the Mummy coaster, mid-drop, grinning. 'Can you spot me?' Fraser joked. Fallon then added 'I have a ride as well' (referring to his Ride Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon ride at Universal Studios). Sheepishly, Fraser responded 'and I haven't been on it yet.'
The crowd erupted. Fraser, 57, confirmed he plans to fix that soon. 'Count on it' he said, and got back to the Mummy news people wanted to hear.
'We're going to get the band back together,' he said of the fourth Mummy film, slated for release October 15, 2027. 'We're going to give the audience what they have been bothering all of us for for the last 20-whatever years.' He stopped himself before saying too much. 'I should probably stop talking like this before I give anything away. However, I know that â please wish me luck. I'm doing my best to get this 57-year-old gear in shape.'
Rachel Weisz, who played Evelyn O'Connell in the first two films but sat out the 2008 third installment, is confirmed to return alongside Fraser. The film will be directed by Radio Silence duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known for Ready or Notand the recent Screamfilms.

The Mummy news wasn't the only thing Fraser brought to Fallon's couch. He's also set to appear in the WWII drama Pressure, in theaters May 29, playing General Dwight D. Eisenhower in the tense 72 hours before D-Day. Fraser said he knew almost nothing about the history when director Anthony Maras approached him, but what sealed the deal was a side-by-side photo of himself and Eisenhower that Maras sent over.
'I was like, 'Me, really? I don't really look like Ike Eisenhower,' he told Fallon. 'And then he sent me a photo of myself alongside Dwight Eisenhower, and I went, 'Oh, okay.'
Pressure centers on the little-known story of a British meteorologist whose forecast, dismissed by most of the Allied command, persuaded Eisenhower to delay the Normandy invasion by roughly 14 hours, exploiting a narrow break in a storm system. Fraser put the story in its simplest terms. 'Eisenhower said, 'We're going on the advice of this meteorologist.' Years later, when Walter Cronkite asked Eisenhower how he'd pulled it off, Ike's answer was blunt. 'We just had better weathermen than the Germans did.'
Fallon also praised Fraser's Whaleco-star Sadie Sink, who is currently playing Juliet opposite Noah Jupe in a West End production of Romeo and Juliet in London. Fraser didn't hesitate: 'She's playing the part she was born to,' he said. 'It was written by William Shakespeare.'
