Dimitri Faces Arrest on 'Days of Our Lives'

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 6:22pm

The walls are closing in on Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte), but questions remain about whether he actually committed the crime he’s now accused of.

The official Days of Our Lives YouTube channel a new weekly promo teasing what’s ahead on the Peacock soap for the week of January 9 – 13 2026.

In the promo, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) is shown arresting Dimitri in Horton Town Square as he sits with Leo Stark (Greg Rikkaart).

On screen, Dimitri recently returned to Salem claiming that after his release from jail, his wife Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) arranged for him to be kidnapped in an effort to gain control of the von Leuschner fortune.

Dimitri arrived back in town shortly after his former lover Leo said “I do,” marrying Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon).

Elsewhere, several members of the DiMera family, Chad (Billy Flynn), Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews), Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), and Tony (Thaao Penghlis) were kidnapped by Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier).

It was revealed that Peter hired henchmen to abduct his family members and assist in carrying out the scheme, but the DiMera’s were ultimately able to overpower Peter and escape.

Rafe later partnered with FBI agent Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) to investigate the kidnappings, which led them to question Vivian Alamain (Lousie Sorel) about her possible involvement.

During the investigation, they discovered a tablet linked to a surveillance camera hidden inside the DiMera family crypt, where the kidnappings took place.

When questioned, Vivian alleged that the tablet belonged to Demitri, who had been living at her residence as a guest of Nicolas Alamain. The men also discovered clothes belonging to Demitri in the room, seemingly corroborating her claims.

After Rafe and Eli left, Vivian revealed to a henchman that the tablet and clothing had been shipped by Gwen in an effort to frame Dimitri, ultimately leading Rafe to arrest him for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping.

With Dimitri now under arrest for a crime he appears to be framed for, the question remains whether Vivian and Gwen’s plan will succeed, or if the truth will ultimately set him free.

Days of Our Lives streams weekdays on Peacock.

Brooklyn Beckham Removes Tattoos of Siblings and Dad Amid Bitter Family Feud

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 6:20pm

Brooklyn Petlz Beckham is making a very permanent statement amid his ongoing family feud.

The 26-year-old chef appears to have covered up several tattoos dedicated to his famous family members, including his siblings and father David Beckham.

Brooklyn previously had the names of his siblings—Romeo, Cruz, and Harper—tattooed across his fingers. While the ink was still visible in a cooking video he posted on January 29, those names have since disappeared beneath a black-and-white cloudy design that now spans his hand and fingers, per photo obtained by Page Six

The new artwork was first spotted during a February 5 outing with wife Nicola Peltz Beckham. Notably, the many tattoos he has honoring Nicola remain fully intact.

Brooklyn has also seemingly altered a tattoo honoring his father, per the outlet. He previously sported an anchor design on his right arm with the word “DAD” printed in bold lettering at the center. That tattoo now appears to be covered with imagery resembling a starfish and two life preservers.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

The tattoo changes follow a scathing message Brooklyn shared on Instagram Stories last month, where he claimed he had no interest in reconciling with his family. In the post, he accused his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of spreading “countless lies” and attempting to “ruin” his marriage. He also alleged that Victoria sabotaged his 2022 wedding to Nicola and “danced very inappropriately” with him at the reception.

That accusation resurfaced weeks later after a December 2025 video shared by Cruz went viral. The clip shows Victoria dancing with Cruz to Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock & Roll,” prompting tons of chatter online. While some viewers called the moment harmless, others argued it reinforced Brooklyn’s initial claims.

7 Common Things That Make You 'Instantly Unlikable' to Your In-Laws, According to Psychologists

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 6:10pm

It might be a cliché, but the truth is that you only get one first impression, so you'd better make it count. And this is especially true when it comes to your partner's parents. But let's be honest: you have to continuously put your best foot forward with your significant other's family because whether it's your second or 40th time getting together with them, you can still do something to make them dislike you.

Even if they aren't particularly intimidating, it can be anxiety-inducing to know that they're observing what you do and say. And if you accidentally make a wrong move or unintentionally blurt out a comment that someone takes offense to, it can negatively impact their opinion of you. So if you're nervous about one of your first outings together, or want to make sure you never do something to ruin the relationship you already have with them, it would be good to learn what things can make you "instantly unlikable" to your in-laws, according to psychologists.

Dr. Kathryn Smerling, a family psychologist, tells Parade that a healthy relationship with in-laws is one that “has boundaries,” as well as “resilience and flexibility.” But to build that relationship, you have to start with a good foundation. And that means avoiding any missteps that might make your in-laws cringe.

To find out what behaviors to avoid with your in-laws, we spoke to Dr. Smerling as well as psychologist Dr. Meera Khan, PhD, PsyD, to find out what common things make you “instantly unlikable” to your spouse's family.

7 Things That Make You ‘Instantly Unlikable’ to Your In-Laws, Psychologists Warn 1. Not making eye contact

While we can't all be perfect with this one 100% of the time, not making eye contact can be a real downer.

“It doesn't make the person feel important and heard,” Dr. Smerling shares. “It doesn't make the person feel as though you're really trying to make contact with them and it becomes a very artificial relationship.”

Related: This Is the #1 Mistake People Make During Small Talk, Jefferson Fisher Warns

2. Coming on too strong

There's a fine line between asking genuine questions and interrogation, and you shouldn't let your first few interactions with your in-laws veer into the latter.

“This can be perceived as aggressive, fake and not likable,” says Dr. Khan, “Which impairs your ability to build genuine connection with your in-laws.”

Of course, this doesn't mean you can't participate in a discussion with your in-laws, but if you are a talker, she suggests taking a beat to “observe and learn the family system” before jumping in too aggressively.

3. Constantly looking at your phone

In 2026, it's hard not to look at your phone regularly, but constantly checking your cell in front of your in-laws without a valid reason is a big no-no.

“That makes people feel very insignificant,” says Dr. Smerling, adding that it sends the message that something else is more important than your relationship with your in-laws.

4. Not saying “thank you”

It sounds pretty basic, but not saying “thank you” when the occasion calls for it is always a major red flag. Therefore, sharing your gratitude can only earn you points with your in-laws.

And Dr. Smerling says that being polite and gracious, especially earlier on in your relationship, is key because “it shows that [you 're] willing to be kind.”

5. Being negative

We all know the stereotype about in-laws being overbearing and hard to connect with, but going into a meeting with that in mind can severely affect your relationship.

“If you already think in-law relationships aren't good, then you're likely to feel that way and confirm the bias or not give it a full chance,” says Dr. Khan.

Related: 10 Ways To Become Someone Who Avoids Negativity, According to Psychologists

6. Being combative

It's normal to argue with family members, but early on in your relationship with your in-laws, it's important to try to avoid framing your interactions as a battle you need to win.

“This creates contention and makes the focus about ‘winning’ over each other instead of fostering connection,” says Dr. Khan. “There will be disagreements and differences when two different family structures come together; focus on joint solutions and mutual ground.”

Related: 9 Things Healthy Couples Do Differently During Disagreements, Therapists Say

7. Disrupting the family dynamic

“Conflict with in-laws can often stem from people feeling their pre-existing relationships are being replaced or broken in place of the new one,” Dr. Khan shares. “The best way to address this is to make sure those people [and] relationships still have time together.”

In other words, don't try to get in between your partner and their parents.

Dr. Smerling agrees, saying, “When there is a healthy level of intimacy between a mother and a child... that should be maintained.”

How To Make a Good Impression

Psychologists recommend doing two things consistently to make sure your good impression continues month after month, year after year.

Be on time

Punctuality is a very easy way to convey respect right away. Though running a few minutes late might not hurt, being an hour late without warning will definitely send the wrong message.

Related: 8 Things Emotionally Intelligent Mother-in-Laws Do Differently, According to a Psychologist

Be curious

Keeping an open mind and an open heart is critical when it comes to fostering a good relationship with your in-laws.

“Approach with warmth, kindness and curiosity to understand and get to know them without bias as much as possible,” Dr. Khan shares.

Dr. Smerling agrees, saying, “You have to start out being open and loving to your in-laws because they're the ones that brought you your partner.”

That said, don't feel like you have to limit your conversations with your in-laws to your partner, either (though asking about their childhood can certainly be a good place to start).

“Be curious about who they are. Be curious about what they do on a daily basis,” Dr. Smerling advises. “Curiosity is the thing that makes you likable.”

The Super Bowl Halftime Rock Renaissance of the 2000s

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 5:42pm

In recent years, polarizing opinions surrounding Super Bowl halftime performers have flourished, but in the 2000s, it was a completely different story. Between 2001 and 2010, Super Bowl halftime shows were stacked with beloved rock icons, capturing a 10-year run of unity among football fans.

Let's recap this Rock Renaissance.

Super Bowl XXXV (2001): Aerosmith

The iconic 1970s hard rock band Aerosmith was the headlining act for Super Bowl XXXV. The performance featured Aerosmith this, "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" and "Jaded" and popular pop band *NSYNC songs "Bye Bye Bye" and "It's Gonna Be Me." The groups upheld the theme of the halftime show, "The Kings of Rock & Pop," with an electrifying set filled with high-energy choreography, comedy and organized chaos. To wrap the hectic show, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige and Nelly joined Aerosmith and NSYNC onstage for a multi-artist performance of the '70s classic "Walk This Way."

He ended the set with a stadium-wide-sing-along of "Hey Jude." The rocker's performance was critically acclaimed for being high-energy and musically focused. The high-energy set was accompanied by stunning visuals, including iconic laser effects and elaborate lighting. Classic Rock Legends Signal Possible Farewell After 2026

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 5:24pm

After more than five decades of defining American rock music, the Eagles may be approaching the final chapter of their storied career.

Don Henley, a founding member and vocalist for the legendary rock band, suggested in a recent interview that 2026 would "probably" be the final year for the Eagles, signaling the end of an era for longtime fans.

Henley, who has served as one of the Eagles' primary songwriters and singer since their formation in the early 1970s, acknowledged that time is becoming an inescapable factor. While stopping short of announcing a formal farewell tour, his comments offered one of the clearest indications yet that the band is beginning to think seriously about taking the show off the road for good.

"I think this year will probably be it," he said. "And I've said things like that before, but I feel like we're getting toward the end,” he added. “And that will be fine too.”

The Eagles are currently in the midst of a massive run of shows at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The residency is part of the band's The Long Goodbye tour, but when the residency ends in March, the future looks uncertain. The Vegas residency was originally only supposed to last for eight shows, but the astonishing demand resulted in the run being extended multiple times. The final performance is set for March 28.

At 78, Henley is ready to live a quieter life and spend more time with his family. Surprisingly, given his history of touring all over the world, he also yearns to travel.

"I've been all over the world, but I haven't seen much of it, because we see the airports and the hotel room and the venue and we don't get out much," he said.

If retirement looms on the horizon, the Eagles have earned it. The band formed in 1971 when Henley and Glenn Frey met while playing together backing Linda Ronstadt. The band's lineup has changed and evolved since those early days, and the Eagles have become one of the most acclaimed and bestselling rock bands of all time. Throughout their career they have won six Grammy Awards, been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and sold over 200 million records.

After 55 years, the Eagles can say farewell knowing the band's legacy is firmly cemented and their music will withstand the test of time.

Michael Keaton Publicly Reflects on Catherine O’Hara Friendship One Week After Her Passing

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 5:16pm

Michael Keaton is remembering his Catherine O’Hara as a “true friend” who was part of his life long before their most famous collaboration.

While attending Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals 2026 Man of the Year celebration on Friday, February 6, Keaton, 74, reflected on his decades-long bond with O’Hara, who died on January 30 at age 71.

When asked how they first met, Keaton traced his admiration back to her early comedy work. “I was a big SCTV fan. I am the biggest SCTV fan,” he said per PEOPLE, explaining that their paths likely crossed while he was filming in Toronto. He recalled bonding over their shared family backgrounds—both came from families of seven—and slowly becoming friends off-camera.

“I remember a night in Toronto where she had a summer [with her] brothers and sisters, and we were all shooting pool in some bar somewhere,” Keaton said, adding that the exact moment they met is fuzzy, but the friendship stuck.

He described his Beetlejuice costar as “kind of a goddess” in the comedy world and said her rise in Hollywood surprised no one who knew her talent. That respect later led him to personally recommend her for the 2005 film Game 6, where she played his ex-wife.

Keaton was among the first to publicly mourn O’Hara following confirmation of her death. In an Instagram post shared the same day, he wrote, “We go back before the first Beetlejuice,” calling her his “real life, true friend” and adding, “This one hurts. Man am I gonna miss her.”He expanded on those feelings in a tribute essay for Time, describing their friendship as “breathing rarefied air.” “To have Catherine O’Hara as your friend is a blessing,” he wrote.

2010s Metalcore Band Announces Spring 2026 North American Headline Tour

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 4:56pm

Dayseeker is officially taking its show on the road.

The 2010s metalcore band announced a spring 2026 North American headline tour in support of their chart-topping new album, Creature In the Black Night, marking their biggest run of shows yet as a headlining act.

The tour will bring Dayseeker to cities across the United States and Canada, continuing the momentum of a release that has become the highest-charting of their career. The album's lead single, "Pale Moonlight" secured a spot in the Top 10 at rock radio while the album debuted in the number one spot on the alternative charts.

The band is scheduled to perform a full slate of 20 headline dates throughout the spring, offering fans the chance to hear cuts from the new record alongside songs that have helped Dayseeker establish itself as one of the most popular acts in modern metalcore. The tour follows a period of sustained growth for the band, both commercially and critically, as their latest album climbed the charts and expanded their audience well beyond their early scene roots.

"This is our first headlining tour for our new album, Creature In The Black Night, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring some of these songs to life in our live show with a stacked lineup,” the band said in a recent press release.

Formed in Orange County, California in 2012, Dayseeker has steadily evolved from a melodic metalcore up-and-comer into a genre-blurring act known for blending heavy instrumentation with atmospheric production and deeply personal lyrics. Over the years, their sound has increasingly leaned into alternative and post-hardcore influences while retaining the intensity that first drew fans in. The band has gone through lineup changes with frontman Rory Rodriguez the only remaining founding member. He's currently joined by bassist Ramone Valerio and drummer Zac Mayfield.

Tickets are available now through the band's official channels.

The vast majority of the time, money is a motive for crimes of this nature, and that's what we've sort of seen when it comes to the unverified ransom note demanding millions of dollars in bitcoin. But could that be a red herring?

Parade spoke with retired NYPD Sergeant Joe Giacalone about motives in missing persons cases to get a full picture of what else could be going on. Of course, without a suspect, there's no way to definitively say what someone's motive is or isn't.

Parade asked Giacalone if these ransom notes—which authorities still haven't deemed legitimate—could be red herrings in the case. Giacalone isn't ruling that out.

"Investigators are going to take these serious no matter what. And they have the capability of being able to investigate this as a potential, viable situation, or they can also rule it out as a potential hoax. We've already got one person found out and arrested," he points out, referring to the arrest of Derrick Callella, who admitted to sending a phony ransom request to the Guthrie family, unrelated to the other notes mentioned by authorities.

Then, we dug a little deeper. We asked Giacalone if the motive isn't money, what else it could potentially be.

"The three biggest ones that we know is love, money, and drugs, right?" Giacalone tells Parade. "Those are the three biggest motives that people do this stuff. But in a situation like this, you also have to consider a revenge factor, a cover-up factor, meaning that the person found out something within the family and now they're trying to keep it under wraps, that kind of thing."

"The investigators gather and they sit there and they huddle up, so to speak, and they try to create their hypothesis. And listen, most people are victimized by someone they know, and that's always the starting point. And then you let the evidence in the information direct you into which one of those categories it's going to be," he adds.

'Days of Our Lives' Sets the Stage for Chad DiMera’s Exit

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 4:45pm

After months of fan speculation, Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) exit storyline is set to begin next week on Days of Our Lives, according to a newly released weekly promo.

The official Days of Our Lives YouTube channel a new weekly promo teasing what’s ahead on the Peacock soap for the week of January 9 – 13 2026.

In the promo, at Horton Town Square, Chad tells Cat Greene (Annalynne McCord) that he is taking his children, Thomas (Christohper Carrey) and Charlotte, and going to Arizona.

As Parade previously reported, Daytime Emmy winner Flynn announced last year that he would be exiting Days of Our Lives while also revealing plans to join the fellow Sony-produced soap The Young and the Restless.

Due to Days of Our Lives lengthy production cycle, Flynn exit is only now reaching television screens. He has already been appearing on The Young and the Restless since October 2025, where he debuted as Cane Ashby.

Shortly after Flynn’s departure was confirmed, as Parade previously reported, Days of Our Lives revealed that former The Young and the Restless star Connor Floyd would be taking over the role of Chad DiMera. Parade previously reported that Floyd’s first appearance is expected in April 2026.

For a brief period, both Flynn and Floyd appeared on The Young and the Restless at the same time, before Floyd’s character, Chance Chancellor, was written off the series.

The Story So Far:

On Screen in Salem, Chad’s had endured a turbulent two years. Cat Greene arrived in town claiming to be his late wife, Abigail DiMera. It was later revealed that Cat was not Abigail at all, but had been coerced by Clyde Weston (James Read) into impersonating her as part of a larger scheme to get ahold of his fortune.

Following the truth about Cat’s identity, her relationship with Chad became deeply strained. Over time, however, the two managed to rebuild trust, forming a bond and friendship that has increasingly taken on romantic undertones, culminating in the two sleeping together.

Those feelings came to a head when Thomas learned that Cat had impersonated his mother. He became adamant that Chad stay away from her, even asking to live with his grandparents Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves).

The conflict ultimately led to a custody dispute, with Chad agreeing to stay away from Cat romantically in an effort to repair his relationship with his son. Whether that promise can be upheld remains an open question.

With Chad temporarily exiting the canvas, fans are left wondering whether there is still hope for a future with Cat, and if a reunion could be possible when Chad eventually returns with a new face.

Days of Our Lives streams weekdays on Peacock.

Savannah Guthrie's Mom Nancy Update: FBI Makes Strategic Move on Day 7 of Search

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 4:26pm

Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing on day seven of the search—and the FBI made a strategic move in its ongoing effort to find the 84-year-old.

On Saturday, Feb. 7, CNN reported that more billboards featuring Nancy and an FBI phone number are set to appear in nearby states nearly a week after she was abducted from her Tucson, Ariz., home.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

Additional billboards for Nancy will be posted in El Paso, Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas in Texas, as well as in Albuquerque, N.M., and San Diego and Los Angeles, Calif., Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, FBI Phoenix Public Affairs Officer Brooke A. Brennan said, per CNN.

The digital billboard initiative has “directly led to 57 fugitive captures” and helped with “numerous other investigations,” according to a 2017 report from the FBI.

“Because digital billboards can be quickly changed and updated, information about a kidnapped child, a bank robbery, or a matter of public safety can immediately be displayed,” the FBI's website explains. “And messages can be targeted to specific geographic locations, which is important when time is of the essence.”

On Feb. 1, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (CSPD) launched a search for Nancy. She was last seen on the evening of Saturday, Jan. 31, at her home. Since then, the CSPD declared her Tucson residence a crime scene and determined that she had been “taken” from her residence “against her will.”

Additionally, law enforcement confirmed that the blood discovered at Nancy’s home belonged to the 84-year-old. Investigators have returned to Savannah’s mom’s home several times, including with K9 units. As of writing, Nancy had not been found after looking into multiple ransom notes and issuing video messages to the captors through Savannah and her siblings, Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie.

Those with any information about Nancy’s missing case are advised to contact the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Nancy Guthrie Mystery Deepens After Floodlight Is Removed From Her Home

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 4:05pm

As investigators continue to comb through Nancy Guthrie’s property for possible clues tied to her disappearance, one new detail is sticking out to authorities.

In recent days, a floodlight outside the 84-year-old’s home appears to have been removed, according to TMZ and photos from Fox News, drawing fresh attention to the area surrounding her back door. While authorities have not confirmed the reason for the removal, the development has raised questions after an alleged ransom note, sent to TMZ, referenced a “destroyed” floodlight.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office told the outlet on Saturday, February 7, “This remains an active and ongoing investigation, which includes the review of multiple pieces of evidence. At this time, we will not confirm or release additional details regarding what is being analyzed.”

Fox News Digital also reported that there were “two possible floodlights” outside the home and that another pair of lights was discovered in the backyard, with one reportedly broken. However, authorities have not verified that information.

Investigators have also been seen scaling Guthrie’s residence and removing what appeared to be a wired device from the roof. Later that evening, a Subaru SUV connected to the property was towed away as part of the ongoing investigation, per the outlet.

Law enforcement activity has extended beyond the home itself. A representative for Circle K confirmed to TMZ that police visited a store along Oracle Road in Tucson after receiving a tip involving a vehicle of interest and were granted access to surveillance footage.

Despite all this activity, officials say no suspects have been identified. The Pima County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Saturday that they have “not identified any suspects, persons of interest, or vehicles connected to this case.”

Legal analyst Nancy Grace has warned that time is critical earlier this week. “It’s bleak,” she said during a February 3 interview, adding that Guthrie “was taken forcibly out of her home.” Pointing to reports of blood found at the scene, Grace cautioned, “With every hour that passes, the likelihood that she will survive decreases. That is why without losing hope, we have to hurry.”

Guthrie, the mother of NBC News anchor Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing after failing to attend church Sunday. She was last seen the night before by her daughter Annie and Annie’s husband, Tommaso Cioni, during a family dinner.

Christian McCaffrey delighted fans at Friday’s 2026 Madden Bowl in San Francisco, one of the most high-profile events tied to Super Bowl LX. Stepping in for Zach Bryan’s usual pianist, McCaffrey treated the crowd to a surprise onstage performance that quickly became a standout moment of the night.

Christian McCaffrey’s Musical Background

Long before his NFL stardom, McCaffrey was honing his musical skills, one of his biggest passions. He has described playing the piano as one of his favorite ways to relax during his downtime, offering a creative outlet beyond football.

Have Christian McCaffrey and Zach Bryan Played Together Before?

Friday’s performance was not McCaffrey and Bryan’s first onstage collaboration. McCaffrey previously joined Bryan at a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, where he not only played the piano but also sang.

The duo has supported each other offstage as well through McCaffrey’s charity foundation. Bryan has donated proceeds from his song “El Dorado” to veterans and military causes.

General Hospital fans are getting a sneak peek at the upcoming episode of the ABC soap, but warning: it’s emotional.

The hunky young man is just what Emma needs after watching her grandmother lose it and having to leave her in the mental health facility in France. Even though Emma had Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Mac (John J. York) by her side when she saw her grandmother, what she really needs now is Gio.

In the preview, Emma’s happy to see him waiting for her; it’s just what she needed. These young lovebirds have the sweetest moment before things get real.

“We had to leave my grandmother in France. It’s worse than we ever thought it could be, and I’ve lost her. I’ve lost the grandmother that I knew,” Emma informs Gio as she breaks down in tears.

— Linda Bryson (@LindaBr40310878) February 6, 2026

The situation with Anna is taking a toll on Emma, which will play into her relationship with Gio. Lucky for Emma, Gio has proven time and again that he always has her back.

General Hospital fans have even stated that Emma and Gio’s romance gives them “90s soap energy.” It’s so true, and the drama involving Anna will certainly bring more of that vibe because Emma’s going to need to lean on Gio while she deals with her grandmother’s breakdown.

Related: ‘General Hospital’ Alums Have ‘Precious’ Red Carpet Reunion

This week, Bruner and Hughes delivered powerhouse performances in their scenes as Anna feared for her granddaughter’s life and Emma had to be dragged away from her.

What Emma, Felicia, and Mac don’t know is that Sidwell (Carlo Rota), Pascal (Marc Forget), and Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) kidnapped Anna and tormented her into believing Faison (Anders Hove), the man who tormented Anna and her family for decades, was still alive.

That is the reason Anna was freaking out when she saw Emma. It’s also why she informed Mac and Felicia that Faison is still alive and coming for her family.

Fans know that the three men needed Anna to have a breakdown and believe Faison was still alive to have a break, so she would stay out of their shady business as they try to finish Faison’s cold fusion project.

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.

‘Designing Women’ Star Camilla Carr Dead at 83

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 3:38pm

Camilla Carr, an actress known for her roles on Designing Women, Falcon Crest and a series of 1970s horror films, has died. She was 83.

Carr’s sonCaley O’Dwyer told The Hollywood Reporter that she died on Wednesday, February 4, in El Paso, Texas, of complications from Alzheimer’s disease and a dislocated hip.

Carr became a memorable guest star on Designing Women in the season 2 episode “Killing All the Right People,” which aired in October 1987. Her character, Mrs. Imogene Salinger, was a Sugarbaker client who believed gay men who contracted AIDS got what they deserved.

After overhearing plans for a young interior designer’s (Tony Goldwyn) funeral amid his battle with AIDS, Carr’s character said, “As far as I’m concerned, this disease has one thing going for it: It’s killing all the right people.”

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

The episode was written by Designing Women creator Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, whose mother died after contracting AIDS from a blood transfusion. Bloodworth-Thomason, now 78, earned an Emmy nomination for penning the script.

“It was a shitty character, but she did a great job,” O’Dwyer said of his mother’s role.

Designing Women—which was known for tackling difficult topics—aired on CBS for seven seasons from 1986 to 1993. The main cast included Dixie Carter (Julia Sugarbaker), Annie Potts (Mary Jo Shively), Jean Smart (Charlene Frazier-Stillfield), Delta Burke (Suzanne Sugarbaker), Meshach Taylor (Anthony Bouvier), Julia Duffy (Allison Sugarbaker), Jan Hooks (Carlene Frazier-Dobber) and Judith Ivey (Bonnie Jean “BJ” Poteet).

In addition to her stint on Designing Women, Carr appeared in a string of horror films: 1973’s Don’t Look in the Basement, 1974’s Poor White Trash Part II (also known as Scum of the Earth) and 1977’s Keep My Grave Open.

Carr’s other films included 1970’s A Bullet for Pretty Boy, 1976’s Logan’s Run and 1982’s Making Love.

As for her TV credits, Carr starred as Rita Connelly in 34 episodes of the NBC soap opera Another World in 1979. She also made guest appearances on One Day at a Time in 1978 and A Year in the Life and Falcon Crest in 1988.

After a nearly three-decade hiatus, Carr returned to acting for the 2015 film Don’t Look in the Basement 2, which would be her final project.
