Kind Woman Risks It All To Help Beached Shark and It’s So Beautiful

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 11:00am

You never know what you're going to see when you go to the beach. The ocean is so vast it's really scary, and there are just so many possibilities. You could see a cool shell, an awesome fish... Or, apparently, a beached shark who needed to be rescued.

That's exactly what happened to one woman when she was on a walk along the beach. It's not every day a shark will need your help, but when they do... I suppose some brave people will answer the call:

@seadiaries.blue

I’ve spent my life admiring sharks…💙 But nothing prepares you for the moment when one of them needs your help... Standing there in the surf, watching this powerful anima struggle, my heart completely shattered. 💔 I didn’t think twice. We just started trying. Wave after wave. Push after push. There was no language between us, but somehow we understood each other. Refusing to give up on him. 🦈🌊 What happened next still feels unbelievable… ○●○ Me he pasado la vida admirando tiburones… 💙 Pero nada te prepara para el momento en que uno de ellos necesita tu ayuda… De pie en la orilla, viendo a este poderoso animal luchar, mi corazón se hizo añicos. 💔 No lo pensé dos veces. Simplemente empezamos a intentarlo. Ola tras ola. Empujón tras empujón. No había lenguaje entre nosotros, pero de alguna manera nos entendíamos. Negándonos a renunciar a él. 🦈🌊 Lo que sucedió después todavía me parece increíble…

The Deep Sea Diaries received some very interesting entries this day, let me tell you. This is the craziest thing I've seen all week!

She says she's spent her entire life admiring sharks, so to see him so up close even before he got messed up on the beach was already incredible. Then, apparently, a wave came in and totally flipped him over, sending him into shallower waters.

He got stuck there. Now, this is when a lot of people might call someone, but she couldn't help herself. She watched him struggle until she was totally positive he couldn't free himself, and then she and another kind human stopped to help. After about 2 hours, they freed him! There's another angle of the encounter:

@seadiaries.blue

FINAL PART. When we first saw the shark we tried a first approach to help, after a couple trys we called FWC, but they told us it could take a while to get there. Sharks can die fast in situations like this... So we continued to help him... in one ocasion this shark entered in a kind of paralysis for being upside down from another wave... After almost two hours trying, at the end and with the help of two fishermen, the four of us finally managed to push him into the deeper middle channel between the sandbars. I was crying and praying the whole time. 🙏 Then something unbelievable happened. 🌎🦋 Three bigger waves rolled in. 🌊First wave… boom. 🌊Second wave… and the shark took it like a surfer and cleared the sandbar.🦈🤯💙🙏 I dropped to my knees crying, exhausted, and with an explosion of hormones.. 🥹 That moment will live in my memory in slow motion forever. One of the most beautiful things I have ever seen in my life. 🦈🌊 And I have seen so much beauty in this world, but what I lived in that moment is a difficult beauty to explain 🤍 The last images were actually recorded by a biker passing by the highway. Before posting any of this I already sent the footage and full story to FWC and several shark research institutions. To clarify this shark had no tag, looked strong and healthy, just a small patch of skin missing near the dorsal fin, no fishing hooks either. (Thank God!) A true beast. And he wanted to live!! I’m sharing this because sharks are so misunderstood… but they are key to a healthy ocean. I hope one day you get to feel what I feel when I see them.🙏🧜‍♀️🦈🤍 The ocean is too beautiful not to protect it. 🌊 #shark #oceanlover #greatwhiteshark #sharks #oceanencounters

♬ original sound - Deep Sea Diaries - Deep Sea Diaries

According to her, they tried to call professionals, but they told her it would be a while, and beached sharks are kind of an urgent issue. Was this the safest thing ever? No, but it was a compassionate thing. I'm glad all of the humans and the shark made it safely!

Someone said, "Steve Irwin is smiling at this." Is there seawater in my eyes or are those tears..?

How Long Can a Shark Survive Out of the Water?

This shark was beached for about 2 hours, though luckily, he'd gotten himself stuck somewhere with at least some water. She did say in a caption that he seemed to enter a state of paralysis at one point, but he ended up being okay in the end.

Great White Shark swimming along.

Image via Shutterstock / Wirestock Creators

Exactly how long a shark can survive out of the water will depend on the type and size of the shark, as well as the temperature. Some small species can survive for hours, but bigger sharks, like Great Whites, can only survive a couple of minutes.

They have to keep swimming to keep water flowing through their gills, so even being stuck in shallow water won't be enough to keep them alive for very long. Most likely, being moved around by this team of people helped keep this boy alive long enough to make it to safety!

If you see something like this on the beach, though, you should always contact professionals before even thinking about attempting anything. Additionally, never go it alone!

Brave Dad's Attempt to Save Pug Being Attacked By Raccoon Captured in Harrowing Video

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 10:54am

A Woodstock, Georgia Pug is lucky to be alive after suffering a violent Raccoonattack. The Pug was playing in his backyard when the Raccoon aggressively pounced on the pup. The Pug’s human came running out to rescue the dog, only to end up getting into a physical fight with the Raccoon himself. The whole incident was caught on video and shared with a local news station, leaving viewers shocked. Video of the attack quickly went viral, with commenters commending the dad for his heroics.

Pug Survives Scary Raccoon Attack @fox5_atlanta

♬ original sound - FOX 5 Atlanta

Fox 5 Atlanta shared the story in a televised news report, followed by a social media post. In the video, the Raccoon attacks the Pug, wrestling it through the backyard while tearing at its coat. Dad comes running onto the scene, first attempting to kick the Raccoon off the Pug, only to find himself off-balance and falling to the ground. He rolls a few feet before recovering his footing and then attempts to pull the wild critter off his beloved dog.

Dad then resorts to trying to separate the Pug and the Raccoon with a long stick but has no luck. Eventually, Mom runs out to help but also finds herself sliding down the sloped backyard. The brave pair ultimately frees the Pug and safely gets the Raccoon to exit.

“I love people who care about dogs,” commented one viewer after seeing the video of the attack.

Another shared, “I feel sorry for both the dog and raccoon,” echoing the sentiments of many.

“Oh my goodness! How scary,” shared another.

Some commenters were quick to place blame on the humans. In the report, Dad mentions he noticed a family of Raccoons living in his backyard and approached to get some video. That’s when the Raccoon attacked his dog and chaos ensued.

@thinkingcanine

Backstory: @Exotics by Josh came to his dogs’ rescue after a neighbors friends brought some aggressive dogs over and then had them loose! This video cracked me up (don’t worry no one was hurt). #dogdad #dogparent #dogparents

Ultimately, Raccoons can be aggressive and sometimes carry rabies, so it’s best not to approach them. It’s also important to note that with any wild animal family, from Raccoons to Bears, a mother will quickly become aggressive to protect her young.

It’s entirely possible this harrowing incident started because a mama Raccoon felt her babies were being threatened. If that’s the case, who could blame her?

Dutiful Newfoundland Helping Grandma Plant a Garden Is the Ultimate Sidekick

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 10:52am

We already know how much Chewy LOVES his grandma. He's enjoyed burger dates with her and heeded her important advice, but in this latest video, the sweet Newfie is earning his keep by helping the busy 96-year-old in the garden. What grandma says goes, and when she directs Chewy to dig, the gentle giant digs. They have quite the assembly line going: grandma points, Chewy digs the hole, and grandma plants the flowers until the task is finished. The whole thing is truly adorable and heartwarming.

@chewythenewfie

He knows exactly what she's saying 🥹❤️

♬ Anyone Else - Diamonds And Ice

One fan of the duo suggests, "This needs to be a children's book."

And the creator agrees, "Adventures of Grandma and Chewy."

We'd buy the whole series... and offer Chewy some work at our house. Seems like we'd have some competition, though, according to some other comments:

"How can I hire him?" inquires one viewer. "He’s the best gardener I’ve ever witnessed."

The creator jokes in response, "He also eats a lot of grass so he's a good mower."

I would hire him for the cute companionship alone (he wouldn't have to lift a paw), and I'd happily compensate him in homemade burgers.

The Newfie Work Ethic

The Newfoundland isn’t just a big, fluffy sweetheart—it’s a true working dog at its core. Originally developed along the cold Canadian coast, these dogs were basically the ultimate all-purpose helpers for fishermen: hauling heavy loads, towing lines from boats to shore, and even pulling carts loaded with gear.

What really sets them apart, though, is their almost uncanny instinct to work in the water. Newfoundlands are natural-born swimmers with webbed feet, powerful builds, and water-resistant coats—and they’ve been rescuing people from the water long before it was a formal “job.” In fact, they have a well-documented, instinctive drive to save swimmers in distress, often acting without any training at all.

Even today, that working DNA hasn’t gone anywhere. While many Newfoundlands now live as family dogs, they still thrive when given a purpose—whether that’s water rescue training, pulling weight, or just being actively engaged with their people (aka grandmas). They’re not the type to be happiest lying around all day; they’re wired to be useful, to help, and to work alongside humans. No wonder Chewy is such a natural in the garden.

Beneath all of Chewy's gentle, “nanny dog” sweetness is a seriously capable, purpose-driven worker who’s happiest when he has a job to do—even if that job is just keeping a watchful eye on the senior he loves the most.

Watch This Brave Blind Dog's Sweet Surprise During His Very First Leash Walk

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 10:48am

She hesitated at the edge of the grass, as if the world had suddenly grown too big. The leash tightened for a moment, not because she pulled, but because she froze.

For a dog who had spent most of her life in a shelter and who couldn't see what was in front of her, stepping onto open grass wasn't just a walk. It was a decision.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/CKFFTLsublM

Then something shifted. Her nose dropped. Her body softened. And within seconds, the same dog who hesitated was rolling, sniffing, leaning into gentle hands as if she had just discovered something she didn't know she was allowed to enjoy.

What changed wasn't just the setting. It's the dog's understanding of the world. As seen in the video posted by the San Diego Humane Society on YouTube, this dog doesn't let her disability keep her from enjoying life to the fullest.

How Are Fans Reacting To It?

Stevie, the Australian shepherd in the YouTube video, is up for adoption, and hopefully, she will find her permanent walking buddy soon. One fan lamented the distance between them and Stevie: "If I didn't live on a whole different continent I so would."

Fans cheered for Stevie, hoping she would find her forever home. One fan said, "She's such a beautiful girl Hope she finds her home soon."

And then one fan talked about how blind dogs can enjoy life to the fullest, commenting, "My Ginger dog became blind & still enjoyed life for 3 more years."

Related: This Adorable Senior Dog Can Barely See—but Still Loves Every Walk

How Blind Dogs "See" the World

While we assume blindness can limit a dog, it doesn't. Dogs rely on scent far more than sight, and according to the American Kennel Club, a dog's sense of smell can be tens of thousands of times more sensitive than ours.

For dogs like Stevie, that means that the world is just reorganized. They map space using scent trails, air movement, sound reflection, and memory of repeated paths.

This is where routine comes into play. Once a blind dog learns a space, they move through it with surprising confidence.

You Don't Walk a Blind Dog, You Become Their Compass

There's a quiet shift that happens when you walk a blind dog. You stop thinking of the leash as control and start seeing it as communication.

Every step you take tells them something: you are safe, keep going, nothing ahead can hurt you.

That's what makes this moment stick. Not the grass. Not even the joy. It's the realization that for this dog, a person isn't just company, they're the way the world makes sense. Stevie is still waiting for that person. The one who will become her compass.

Foster Dog Sweetly Apologizes for 'Causing a Ruckus' While Left Alone for 20 Minutes

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 10:10am

Rescue dogs need time and patience to acclimate to their new surroundings when they are fostered or adopted. Previously abandoned or abused canines have a lot of trauma to heal from, and their anxious behavior is often a result of their past. With compassion and understanding, these dogs flourish once they feel safe.

Isabel Klee has fostered over 30 dogs to date, most of them with serious medical and behavioral challenges. Marmie is her most recent foster and came from an abusive situation, so Klee is patiently helping her learn to let her guard down. Recently, the animal advocate left Marmie alone to take her other fur baby, Simon, for a quick walk. Marmie was not happy about it and let her mom know.

@simonsits

Do you think she’s sorry? 😂 @Muddy Paws Rescue

♬ Morning Happy Melody - Donguri

Apparently, Klee was gone for less than half an hour, but that seemed like an eternity to Marmie. The little pooch loudly vocalized her frustration with loud barks the entire time she was alone. The TikTok from @simonsits showed Klee's conversation with the precious pup upon her return.

"Are you sorry for causing a ruckus?" Klee softly asked as Marmie joyfully climbed all over her foster mom to greet her. "I could hear you barking from outside. You know that?"

Klee had a loving talk with Marmie to go over the incident, and remind the canine cutie that she would never be abandoned again.

"I could hear you barking," Klee reiterated. "That's a little dramatic. I just left to walk Simon, and you knew I was going to come back. When we were walking down the street, I heard a little dog bark. And guess who it was? It was you."

Marmie Showed Remorse

Klee took an extra gentle approach with Marmie, who couldn't stop cuddling with her mom.

"Why were you so upset?" Klee sweetly asked. "It was like 20 minutes. It was not very long. What do you have to say for yourself?"

Related: Senior Rescue Dog with No Back Legs Gets Forever Home After 4 Years of Waiting

Marmie just stared back at Klee with pure love in her eyes. The fur baby expressed her apology through tons of affection, which her foster mom happily received and reciprocated.

"I love you," she told Marmie several times as she covered her with kisses, then spoke to Simon when he walked over. "I love you, too."

In time, Marmie will learn that Klee will always come back for her.

Savage Crows Rip Out Rapunzel's Hair at Disneyland in Disturbing Viral Video

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 9:58am

Poor Rapunzel. An animatronic Rapunzel located at Tokyo’s DisneySea lost her hair to a pair of aggressive Crows, and the whole wild incident was caught on video. The birds did so much damage to Rapunzel’s iconic hair that the animatronic character had to be shut down for repair. The hair-raising incident happened shortly before a high-tech animatronic Olaf character malfunctioned at Disneyland Paris. Has anyone checked on all the animatronic Mickeys and Snow Whites?

In the video shared by Paris Match, the charming animatronic Rapunzel can be seen greeting and waving to crowds, perched in the window of her iconic house, just as fans remember her in the movie Tangled. That’s when the birds appear from behind the animatronic character and start eating her hair.

Disneyland really is the happiest place on Earth because Rapunzel keeps smiling and waving despite the feeding frenzy happening in her notorious locks.

Commenters called the incident “creepy.”

Rapunzel’s hairy incident preceeded another incident involving a new, high-tech animatronic Olaf from Disney’s Frozen, which malfunctioned during a live appearance at Disneyland Paris in March 2026. Despite being designed to walk, talk, and interact with guests, the animatronic Olaf froze mid-sentence and fell backward in front of a crowd before his carrot nose popped off as it collapsed.

Cast members were quick to rescue Olaf, but viral video of the incident made the rounds on social media, and commenters noted the accident was a bit shocking for kids watching. Olaf survived the technical glitch and returned to the delight of fans young and old.

We’re sure Rapunzel will be back as well—she just might be slightly less friendly to the attraction’s resident birds.

Emu in a Braided Wig and Hot Pink Nails Is the Ultimate Backyard Baddie

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 9:55am

Attention everyone: A new bombshell has entered the villa. You know when you open a video and immediately realize you are not prepared for what you are about to see? That is exactly what happens here. Because this is not just an emu. This is an emu with a full braided wig, complete with bows, barrettes, and little plastic flowers, paired with hot pink painted nails, like she has somewhere important to be, and she's already late.

She is just standing there. Existing. Serving. And somehow pulling it off in a way that feels both completely ridiculous and deeply correct. This girl has more style than I ever could.

♬ Where Them Girls At - Megan Thee Stallion

The hysterical video was shared by TikTok user @hatchhavenacre.ornament1, and the comments were exactly what you would hope.

“Birdie is a baddie,” one person wrote, and yes. No notes.

“Kinda looks like someone I know,” another added, which feels a little too specific but also… I get it.

Related: Tiny White Kitten With Pink Bows Has Major Marie From 'The Aristocats' Energy

“I wasn’t ready for the hair,” someone said, and that is the universal experience here. You think you are ready. You are not ready.

“She looks better than I do,” another person admitted, which, honestly, same. The confidence alone? Untouchable.

Then it escalates. “Why am I wanting a ‘fit tutorial from a bird?” and listen… if she dropped one, I would watch.

“Face card on point,” someone added, which is wild to say about an emu, but also completely accurate in this moment.

“She knows the girl she is,” which might be the truest statement in the entire comments section. There is no confusion here. No hesitation. Just pure, unwavering self-awareness.

And finally, “I didn’t know my sister was on TikTok,” which is how you know this emu has crossed into human energy territory. She is not just dressed up. She is embodying something.

I keep thinking about what would happen if I tried this with my own pets. Kingston would call the police. Meatball would sit on the wig and refuse to move. This emu, meanwhile, woke up, chose a look, and committed fully. That is the difference.

What Do Emus Eat and How Are They Cared For? @funnypet_antics

Emu doing emu things 🤣🦤#emu #funnyanimals #bird #fyp #pets

♬ original sound - funnypet_antics

Emus are large, flightless birds native to Australia, and while they might look like chaotic backyard celebrities in videos like this, they do require specific care. Their diet typically includes a mix of grains, seeds, fruits, vegetables, and insects. Many people who keep emus feed them a balanced commercial feed designed for large birds, along with fresh produce to round things out.

They also need a lot of space. Emus are active and curious, and they do best in environments where they can roam, explore, and stretch those long legs. A secure enclosure is important, both to keep them safe and to prevent them from wandering off into someone else’s yard looking like this.

Emus can be social and even affectionate when raised around people, but they are still large animals with strong legs and sharp claws, so handling should always be done carefully and respectfully. Regular access to clean water, shelter from extreme weather, and routine health care are all part of responsible emu parentship.

So while this particular emu may be out here serving full backyard baddie energy in a braided wig and hot pink nails, behind the scenes, she still needs proper care, space, and attention. The look may be iconic, but the basics still matter.

Persian Cat With Rare 'Werewolf Syndrome' Deserves a Spot on 'The Muppets'

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 9:20am

Every time a really unique cat comes along, a fairy gets her wings—it's universal law! Some of these one-of-a-kind charmers have a look so captivating, so otherworldly, you'll wonder how you've lived your life without ever knowing about them. In case you're looking for a special feline to check that box, I've got just the boy for you!

Atchoum isn't like other Persian cats. This kitty has a rare condition called "werewolf syndrome" that makes him look like he should be a character on The Muppets!

@atchoumthecat

Hello human, I see you’re once again hypnotized by my soft, irresistible belly… as you should be. ***** Bonjour humaine, je vois que tu es encore hypnotisée par mon ventre moelleux et irrésistible… comme il se doit. #tiktokquebec #hypertrichosis #ChatDuQuebec #atchoumthecat #petitgarsheureux

♬ son original - atchoumthecat

Compared to all other Persian cats, Atchoum really is in a league of his own, respectfully! He doesn't have to perform any cool tricks or show off any vocal skills because his existence is the gift. I wouldn't get any work done, ever, if I had this cutie chillin' like a villain in my house!

Related: Fluffball Persian Kitten's Cartoonish Features Look Like a Plush Bear Stuffie

If, like me, you want more of Atchoum and his fabulous self, you're in luck. Thanks to his doting mom, there are dozens of other videos that capture his essence in every way you can imagine. It's hard to pick a favorite, so in the name of all things wispy, furry, fluffy, and werewolf, here's Atchoum enjoying the air-conditioning breeze!

@atchoumthecat

Yesterday I went outside to play a little, but everything was wet. And since I’m a little genius, I made sure to get myself dried off in no time.🫣🤣 ****** Hier, je suis allé jouer un peu à l’extérieur, mais tout était mouillé. Et comme je suis un petit génie, je me suis fait sécher rapidement.🫣🤣 #tiktokquebec #hypertrichosis #ChatDuQuebec #atchoumthecat #petitgarsheureux

♬ son original - atchoumthecat What Is 'Werewolf Syndrome?'

As you can see, Atchoum has quite a bit more fur than other Persian cats. "Werewolf syndrome" is technically called hypertrichosis, and it's an extremely rare, nonfatal, and congenital condition in cats that spawns rapid and excessive hair growth and claw thickening.

All that hair sprouting out makes them look like they're always having a bad hair day in the cutest, most disheveled way. Atchoum is probably the most famous cat with the disorder, so it's great that his mom is using social media to educate us all about the unique look.

She noted on his website that he's the only one known to have the condition, so she doesn't know how things will progress. The syndrome also caused him to have tiny teeth, and he's well cared for by his vet, living his best life. It doesn't hurt that Mom's a skilled groomer to help keep all that sweet hair looking its best!

Atchoum, and all his rarity, really is a kitty icon!

Super Sweet ‘Polar Bear Maine Coon’ Has the Prettiest Fur

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 9:00am

Maine Coon kittens are my favorite kind of kitten. They always have been, and they always will be. When they're born, they're already bigger and fluffier than a regular kitten, and they grow like weeds for several years after.

When they're first born, though, is when they're the cutest. Before their features sharpen and they start to look like little lions, Maine Coon kittens are some of the most precious beings ever. Especially when they look like tiny polar bears:

His different colored paws get me everytime 😻 mainecoons #cats #catsoftiktok #kittens #mainecoonsoftiktok

♬ Self Aware - Temper City

Black Diamond Maine Coons is a cattery with some of the most beautiful cats in the game. They specialize in European-style Maine Coons, so the ones who grow up to look like little lions. They also have a lot of Maine Coons with this sort of coloring!

When this little kitty was young, he looked nearly identical to a polar bear cub, especially in his face. He looked like the kind of guy you'd find out in the tundra, battling a seal to survive! However, he's in fact a cat, safe and sound with his caretaker. He also has different-colored paws!

Maine Coon Growth Cycle

The video includes two clips: this cat as a small "polar bear" baby, and another when he's a little more grown. He's still a kitten, but he's a few weeks older now, which means he's grown a lot. Maine Coons grow rapidly for the first year of their life! Eventually, they end up looking like:

@blackdiamondmainecoons

♬ dandelions - favsoundds

Maine Coons don't reach full-grown until about 3-4, but after about 2 years, you'll notice that they seem to "stop" growing. They might not get any bigger, but a lot of things about them are still changing. Their facial features sharpen, their coats continue to fill out, and their growth plates close.

What Are 'Smoke' Maine Coons?

Black Diamond Maine Coons has all sorts of pretty kitties, but one of the main things they specialize in is "Smoke" cats. They come in tons of different colors, and they're so beautiful!

Black Smoke Maine Coon

Image via Shutterstock / wei.hwc

"Smoke" refers to a specific pigmentation structure. Essentially, the base of the fur is dark and full of pigment, but as you get further towards the tip of the fur, it loses the pigment, typically becoming either light grey or white. It gives the appearance of a shroud of smoke.

The coloring is typically not all over the cat: it's usually concentrated in different areas. The neck is a big one, often leading to that "collared" appearance. They're so regal, and I know this sweet polar bear boy will make the best addition to a loving home someday!

What Should We Know About the American Woodcock?

This adorable bird is definitely a sign that spring has arrived. (Yay!) These birds return to the Northeast as the weather grows warmer. They have a unique coloration pattern that allows them to blend in with wooded environments. They're also known for their long bills, which they use to grab earthworms out of the soil.

Woodcocks are also famous for their "meep" vocalizations, which have made them popular with birders and non-birders alike. But, of course, they're not just doing it for our entertainment. This is part of their mating ritual. Their goofy dance moves might seem like an addition to that, but it's more likely that birds take those bouncy steps to loosen soil and locate more worms. (Sorry, worms!)

Whatever the reason, we're excited to catch this gorgeous creature living the life of a New Yorker in spring—enjoying the park and making new friends!

How Mother Otters Protect Their Newborns From Day One

Sea otters spend much of their lives in the water, including raising their young. That creates a challenge most land animals never face. There is nowhere solid to rest.

At the same time, newborn otter pups are not ready for the ocean right away. Their fur is so dense that they float easily, but they lack the strength and coordination to survive on their own.

Mothers have to adapt, and they do it by floating on their backs, using their bodies as both cradle and anchor. Sometimes, they even wrap themselves in kelp to avoid drifting away while they rest with their pups.

They invest an enormous amount of energy into grooming their babies to maintain the insulating quality of their fur, all while diving for food. They have learned that holding their babies is more than affection; it is protection.

When Do Sea Otter Mothers Leave Their Babies?

After about six months, otter pups begin to develop the skills they need to survive independently. Hunting, diving and grooming all become part of their daily routine.

At some point, the mother stops carrying them. It is gradual, but clear. The pup starts to drift a little farther each day, no longer anchored to her chest. It is the natural shift from protection to independence.

Street Puppy Vanishes for Months Then Gets a Sweet, Unexpected Surprise

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 7:10am

Niall Harbison created his Thailand animal rescue, Happy Doggo, to help street dogs get the food and medical care they needed not only to survive, but to thrive. The animal advocate and his team also give these canines lots of love, affection, and emotional support so they can fully heal from past trauma and abuse. Harbison tends to dogs of all ages and sizes, and is committed to helping every pooch he finds.

Twix was just a puppy when he crossed paths with Harbison, but then he disappeared. The Happy Doggo founder never forgot about Twix and set out to make sure they reunited.

View this post on Instagram

Twix was just a small, brown, fluffy pup when Harbison discovered him on the streets of Thailand. The Instagram video from @wearehappydoggo featured the rescue founder holding the precious puppy, yet Twix went missing shortly after their time together.

"We searched for months for a puppy who had vanished," the onscreen text shared. "Until we finally found him."

Never one to give up, Harbison searched for Twix and eventually located the canine. A few months made quite a difference in Twix's size — he had grown into a medium-sized, honey-colored pooch with the same heart of gold. Harbison "knew he deserved more than the streets" and was determined to find Twix a forever home.

Twix Has a New Leash on Life

The friendly fur baby was adopted and transported to his new family. The video showed Twix walking toward his new home with "his first look at forever." Clips of the sweet dog running on the beach and playing with toys highlighted how he's enjoying his new life.

"It’s been a few weeks since Twix left the island, and he’s already forgotten what life on the street was like," the caption shared. "From a puppy who vanished to a dog who’s found his soulmate. You made it, Twix."

The former street dog is now thriving with his forever family. "Twix finally found where he belongs," the video concluded.

Samoyed Meets Baby on NYC Street and Immediately Gives Him 'Shake'

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 5:26am

If you’ve ever been in the company of a Samoyed Dog and thought to yourself, “I swear that pup is smiling at me,” you’re not imagining things. Samoyed Dogs are known for being friendly, affectionate, and highly social dogs who are particularly good with children. Often cited for their “smiley” demeanor, this dog breed is about as social as a canine gets. Bred for close companionship in Siberia, Samoyed Dogs are rarely aggressive and easily bond with their human families. They may not make terrific guard dogs, but they make excellent companions.

Lumi loves baby’s and always has 🥰 *also before anyone says anything, these parents said it was fine for the baby to say hi and they have a dog of their own, so they get it ❤️

A social media video of an uber-friendly Samoyed Dog crossed our TikTok feed, serving as a reminder of the beautiful relationships Samoyeds quickly form with humans—especially children. In the video, a gorgeous white Samoyed Dog (aren’t they all?) can be seen being introduced to a young child being held in his father’s arms. Lumi, the Samoyed Dog, quickly gets to know the little boy by cautiously getting closer before offering a few friendly sniffs and licks.

Then, the stunning Samoyed Dog does something surprising. While other dogs might get too friendly too fast with a young child, Lumi offers his paw to the little boy. We’re not sure if it’s a friendly handshake or Lumi curiously petting the boy, but it’s the kind of endearing moment between animals and humans that reminds us how special it is to be in the company of a dog.

Social media viewers were enthusiastically in agreement.

“That’s the cutest thing I ever saw,” shared one.

Another added, “Aww, Samoyeds are like floofy clouds.”

“Well that’s his best friend now,” shared one more.

As friendly and calm as Samoyed Dogs are known to be, it’s still crucial to supervise any interactions between dogs and children. In the video shared above, we love how the dad keeps his son safely nestled in his arms while also allowing Lumi and the boy to get to know each other.

Thanks for the smile, Lumi. Apologies in advance if you swore you had enough dogs at home, but now you’re thinking about a Samoyed Dog. They’re sweet and cute. No lies told here.

Video of Kind Man Sharing His Water With a Thirsty Squirrel Has the Internet Melting

Fri, 04/03/2026 - 5:06am

If you’ve ever come across a Squirrel while out at a local park or on a woodsy hike, you know these curious critters are particularly cute. Squirrels can also be incredibly bold—if not fearless—in the company of large crowds of humans, especially if those humans have what most squirrels want: food. Despite their adorable faces and busy, fluffy tails, Squirrels aren’t domesticated and should be considered wild animals, even when they approach for food.

Squirrels are, however, incredibly smart animals known for their complex problem-solving abilities. These small rodents are also highly adaptable and can remember thousands of food locations for months. While Squirrels can be tricky when it comes to protecting their food, they can also grow accustomed to humans and even learn from them.

A social media-famous Squirrel recently went viral for his highly unusual interaction with a hiker on a hot Phoenix day. As the man sat down to take a break from the blazing desert heat, the parched Squirrel approached him after noticing his water bottle. The hiker quickly recognized that the Squirrel was incredibly thirsty. Rather than shooing the little animal away, he took the straw from his water backpack and used it to create an ad hoc water fountain for the thirsty Squirrel.

We love how calm the hiker was and how trusting the Squirrel was in return. Judging by how much water the Squirrel drank, the hiker stepped in just in time.

“The Squirrel was so polite about it, too,” observed one commenter. “Humanity is still alive,” added another.

Another viewer gushed, “This is the sweetest thing I’ve seen all week.”

The internet can’t get enough of the viral video, though some caution that Squirrels can carry diseases and, despite their friendly appearance, may bite or scratch if humans get too close. Luckily for the hiker in the video above, this Squirrel just wanted a sip of water. Judging by the over-100-degree temperatures in Arizona in February, the generous hiker came along at just the right time to help a Squirrel in need.

Border Collie Foster Puppy Sliding on His Belly for Pets Is Too Sweet

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 8:20pm

Most dogs run to greet you. Other dogs jump, some bark, some lose their entire minds. This Border Collie foster puppy? He slides. Fully commits to it. Belly to the ground, little legs working overtime, inching his way toward his foster mom like a tiny, fluffy love missile with zero brakes.

The caption says, “Our foster puppy has the cutest way of greeting us when we get home. My heart can’t handle it,” and honestly, same. Because this is not just cute. This is the kind of cute that makes you pause midday and question your entire emotional stability. He is white and tan, ridiculously fluffy, and clearly trying so hard to contain his excitement that it just leaks out sideways in the form of this slow, determined belly crawl. Check out how incredibly precious this baby is!

The adorable TikTok clip was shared by @winniethecattledog, and people in the comments were immediately in love.

“Active submission, letting you know he’s friendly and not threatening and the bestest boy,” one person wrote, which is exactly what it feels like. Like he’s politely introducing himself in the most dramatic way possible.

“How could no one fall in love with a puppy who is made of love?” another said, and honestly, I don’t have an answer. I would fail immediately. Papers signed. He lives here now.

“Give the pup a kiss from me,” someone added, and yes, several. Immediately.

“Sneak attack belly rubs will never not be precious,” which feels like the correct response to a dog who is literally presenting himself like this.

“Trying so hard to control his excitement!” another person pointed out, and you can see it. He wants to explode with joy but is somehow channeling it into this very polite, very wiggly crawl.

“That’s heart-melting. What a sweet little man!” and yes. Exactly that.

And then the comment that always gets me: “So cute, I don’t think I will ever be able to just foster them. I will just keep them all.” Same. I would be a complete foster failure within hours. But you have to give it to all the incredible foster dog parents out there who just give these pets the best starts before finding their forever homes, so they can then welcome another furbaby in need into their houses and hearts.

What To Expect When Fostering a Puppy @brynn_buono

best “impulse decision” I’ve made to date #fosterpuppy #austinpetsalive #austinanimalcenter

♬ original sound - 🤍🥥S•phia🐚🍨

Fostering a puppy is one of those things that sounds simple until you are actually in it, and then suddenly your entire house revolves around a tiny creature who needs everything. It is rewarding in a way that's hard to explain, but it also comes with real responsibility, and yes, emotional risk.

You can expect a lot of adjustments in the beginning. Puppies may be nervous, unsure, or overly excited, depending on their background. They are learning a new space, new people, and new routines all at once. That means patience is key, especially in those first few days.

There is also the practical side. Feeding schedules, potty training, basic commands, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. It's a lot of small, consistent effort that adds up quickly.

But then there is the part no one fully prepares you for. The bond. Puppies, especially foster puppies, can form deep attachments fast. They look to you for comfort, security, and love, and it is very easy to fall right back.

Which is why “foster failure” is such a real thing. You go in thinking you are just helping temporarily, and then one day a tiny fluffy puppy slides across the floor toward you like this… and suddenly you are rethinking everything.

Tabby Cat Becomes Reluctant Babysitter to Newborn and We Can't Even

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 7:55pm

It is always a transition when a new baby enters the picture.

There are new sounds, new stuff, and new smells.

This can be a lot for a dog or cat, though it seems that cats tend to enjoy using the baby's stuff a bit more, especially the beds.

It seems like we keep seeing video after video of cats taking advantage of all the new pillows, cribs, and bassinets around them to find the perfect places to take a nap!

In a new video from the account @dontstopmeowing, we see a beautiful, big Tabby cat contentedly taking a nap in his new human baby sister's bassinet.

Little does he know that his mom was planning on putting his sister down for her nap in her bed.

Well, the Tabby seems to have no intention of moving, so his mom decides he will just have to share the space.

She moves a blanket and then lays his sister down next to him.

He looks a bit perplexed about why he has to share, but not enough to vacate the bed.

Then his mom tucks them both in with a blanket, and they make the absolute cutest duo.

Soon, the cat falls asleep, and they are two sleepy peas in a pod.

Mom then says, "Why do I keep having babies when I should just keep having cats!"

Then she points out that now the baby and the kitty are linking arms. It couldn't be any cuter!

Then it cuts to the baby waking up a little later and wiggling a bit, but the cat is still not moving, and he's decided to give in to his role as the babysitter.

He didn’t sign up for this 🤣😂 #fyp #foryou #foryoupage

Why do cats love to use baby stuff?

Well, first of all, cats are naturally curious, so if something is lying around their space, they are probably going to check it out.

Plus, it is soft and smells like a baby, which is intriguing to them.

Kitties are also very maternal (even male cats), so though he played it off like he didn't care at first, he may want to be near the baby to protect her.

Fluffy Corgi's Adorable 'Hello' for Mom Makes Him the Cutest Hype Man

Having a dog greet you as you walk in the door is the best feeling ever. You're never more popular than strolling through, being greeted by the best hype squad on Earth. Even the quiet, demure pups have a way of making us feel like celebrities.

If you're a Corgi parent like me, you're not getting demure; it's more like your own personal cheering section! In one of the most Corgi-coded videos I've seen, Walnut knows how to make his mom feel special, too. The second she's home, he literally screams with joy!

In all honesty, I knew *nothing* about Corgis when we adopted my girl, Tater Tot, at the end of 2020. In case you've been thinking of adding one of these cool pups to your family, here's what I've learned from experience.

Corgis are athletic, lively herding dogs who have unmatched enthusiasm for pleasing their pack—just don't underestimate the herding part! Tater loves herding our cats (and human kids) upstairs, and by the look on her face, she's proud of herself for doing it!

She's also one of the most devoted, intelligent, and "will do anything for those I love" kind of dogs I've ever had, but also really chatty. She "awoos" as if having real conversations with us, and it's the cutest. And any passing sirens are her chance to show off her pipes!

I can't rave enough about the breed. Corgis really are that awesome!

This Bengal Cat’s Rare, ‘Psychedelic’ Coat Has People Wondering If She’s Real

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 6:55pm

A Bengal who was recently posted to Reddit’s r/SupermodelCats looks so unreal, some people genuinely aren’t sure if they’re looking at a real animal or AI.

The jaw-dropping feline is captivating viewers with her high-contrast markings, icy blue eyes and hypnotic coat pattern. At first glance, her look feels almost too other-worldly, like something digitally created. But according to her pet parent, she’s very real, and just as mesmerizing in person.

🐾 SIGN UP to get “pawsitivity” delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾

A Rare (and Seriously Stunning) Combination

In the comments section, her pet parent shared that she’s a charcoal seal lynx (snow) Bengal, a rare combination that explains her striking appearance, as seen below.

The “seal lynx” coloring comes from the same colorpoint gene seen in Siamese cats, giving her that pale, creamy coat and vivid blue eyes. The charcoal trait—passed down from the Bengal’s wild ancestor, the Asian leopard cat—adds that dramatic dark mask and boosts contrast throughout her coat.

The result is a surreal look that stops people mid-scroll. And it’s not just the color. Her markings—those swirling rosettes—are bold and well-defined, adding to her mesmerizing appearance

Related: This Cat’s Dreamy Aqua-Teal Eyes Have Everyone Mesmerized

The Internet Is Completely Captivated

Reddit users had a lot to say about this striking feline.

“Whoa… she almost looks psychedelic!” one person wrote.

“She is STUNNING! Wow!” said another.

“I am mesmerized with the pattern on her!” added a third.

One commenter even questioned whether the cat was AI-generated—a fair reaction, honestly. But the pet parent quickly reassured everyone: she’s very real, and there are plenty more photos where that came from.

Beauty Meets Big Personality

Of course, she’s not just a pretty face. According to her mom, she's incredibly affectionate (but on her own terms, of course). She’s a “massive purr-er” who sounds like a jet engine, loves nighttime scratches and has recently started sleeping curled up on her human’s back or chest.

And her signature move? Headbutts—enthusiastic, full-force ones.

Is This Type of Bengal Rare?

Bengals themselves aren’t exactly rare—they’re a popular (and highly recognizable) breed known for their wild, leopard-like look. But this particular combination of traits is where things get uncommon.

This cat’s charcoal seal lynx (snow) coloring is considered rare within the Bengal breed. Snow Bengals are less common than the typical brown variety, and adding the charcoal gene makes the look even more unusual.

In other words, while Bengals are known for being eye-catching, this cat is a next-level version of that signature look.

Blind Basset Hound Who 'Thinks She's Begging' Is the Cutest Thing We've Ever Seen

Thu, 04/02/2026 - 6:10pm

Dogs who deal with certain physical challenges are known to compensate by depending on their other abilities. Deaf canines usually have razor-sharp eyesight to make up for the hearing deficit. If a dog is missing a limb, they find ways to navigate their environment by strengthening their three legs. Their capacity to overcome obstacles is just another testament to a canine's resilience and ingenuity.

Lily the Basset Hound is blind and recently tried her best to beg for some treats, but still needs to work on honing her other skills.

Lily sat in the kitchen, facing the cabinets and refrigerator in the TikTok from @readrinserepeat. Apparently, she was attempting to get something from her mom.

"My blind dog thinks she is begging," the onscreen text explained.

The sweet Basset Hound wasn't aware that her mother was behind her rather than in front of her.

"Lily, you're in the wrong direction," her mom gently told the pooch. "Can you come over here?"

The canine cutie stood up and walked forward instead of turning around, still under the assumption that she was facing her mom.

"Honey, this way — turn around," her mom encouraged, clapping to give Lily a clue of her location.

Lily continued her forward motion and even "nose booped" the refrigerator and cabinets. She sniffed the area in front of her, expecting her mom to be standing right there. Her mom kept cheering her on to do an about-face.

Lily Finally Found Her Mom

With some time and effort, Lily eventually turned around and headed toward her mom, but not without bumping into a chair. At last, the beautiful Basset made it to her destination, with her mom praising her accomplishment. Lily then immediately resumed her begging expression and stance.

"The say if you lose one sense the others sharpen… we are still waiting for evidence of that over here," the caption joked.
