Best-Selling Author’s Heartbreaking Memoir With Movie Deal Tops All Major Bestseller Lists
Belle Burden’s Strangers, a heartbreaking memoir about the dissolution of her 20-year marriage, is now a smash-hit bestseller, topping all five major bestseller lists, according to Book Riot.
Released on Jan. 13, the deeply personal story shares the moment Burden learned her husband was having an affair, shattering the “happy marriage” ideal surrounding her life in Martha’s Vineyard, and the fallout that led to her finding her voice and strength.
View this post on Instagram“I thought I was very happily married. I was very much in love with my husband,” Burden told NPR in April, after sharing in painstaking detail the moment she learned of her husband’s betrayal.
“This happened during the second week of COVID lockdown,” she said. “We were at our house in Martha's Vineyard, and my husband and I were having a pretty cozy time there. He was chopping wood and cooking dinner. Our two daughters were there with us. And then one night, I got a phone call. I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the number. And I played the message, and it was a man saying, ‘I'm sorry to tell you this, but your husband is having an affair with my wife.’”
Shocked, Burden then confronted her husband who was nonchalant at first, until the next day when he packed his bags, asked for a divorce, and became someone she didn’t recognize.
Years later, Burden has risen from the wreckage a stronger woman who has found her voice. The success of her debut, published by Penguin Random House’s The Dial Press, probably helps ease the sting a bit.
“This book absolutely hooked me. I tore through it in a little over a day,” NPR shared.
Now in its ninth printing, the book is being adapted for the small screen, with Netflix and Gwyneth Paltrow attached. The 53-year-old actress, who shares Burden’s kind expression, plans to both star and executive produce the feature, Deadline reported.
Stacey Sher (Heretic) is set to produce, with Heidi Schreck (Billions) adapting the script. We will definitely be keeping an eye out for this one to drop.

While she didn't credit the outfit choice, the mini dress appears be by fashion brand, The Wolf Gang.
The TV personality also donned the blazer dress during that morning's broadcast and shared her look in a separate post.
"Trying to bring the sunshine while talking weather headlines," she captioned the photo that was paired with a clip of her doing her news segment.
The color seems to be Zee's go-to as she recently wore a shade of yellow to 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' premiere in April.

Who Is Ice-T's Wife, Coco Austin? We Did Some 'Detective Work'
At the end of Season 22 of Law & Order SVU, NYPD Sergeant Odafin "Fin" Tutuola (Ice-T) and his former partner and fiancé, Sgt. Phoebe Baker called off their wedding, deciding they were better off as friends. It would've been the second marriage for Fin, who shared a son, Ken, with ex-wife Teresa Randall.
Offscreen, Ice-T isn't calling anything off. He and his wife, Coco Austin, tied the knot more than two decades ago. Though some celebs keep their love lives largely out of the spotlight, Ice-T and Austin—a model and TV personality who has more Instagram followers than her husband (2.9 million to his 1.5 million)—do not. Here's what we know about their marriage.

Nicole Natalie Marrow (née Austin), nicknamed Coco, started her career as a model, making her big break when she landed the cover of Sports Illustrated—her first-ever cover!—in 1997. But she's also a TV personality, dancer and actress.
Her resumé includes credits in Southwest Babes (2001), Desert Rose (2002) and The Dirty Monks (2004); and she replaced Holly Madison (former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner) as Bo Peep in the Las Vegas burlesque review Peepshow, a role she held from December 2012 to September 2013.
But Coco is perhaps best known for teaming up with her husband to star in a reality-TV show about their lives, Ice Loves Coco, which aired for three seasons from 2011–2014 on E!
How did Ice-T and his wife Coco meet?Appearing on Mario Lopez: One on Onein 2017, Ice-T and Coco shared that they were introduced by a mutual friend on a movie set. Apparently, Ice-T didn't want to do the movie, but he agreed to participate as a favor to a friend. Still, he was in a bad mood about it. Coco was a model on the set, and the producer friend thought she could cheer Ice-T up.
His first words? "Would you ever consider dating a gangster rapper?"
Coco didn't know what that even meant, really, but she went on to date and marry Ice-T anyway.
View this post on InstagramIn a 2022 Instagram post on Valentine's Day, Ice-T revealed the producer was Rickey Ricardo "Rolls Royce Rick" and posted a snap of the fateful meeting.
"We’ve been happily married 21 years," Ice-T wrote at the time.
What nationality is Coco?Coco Austin was raised in California. But in a 2018 Instagram post, sharing about a quick trip to Serbia, she revealed that she has Serbian roots and that her maternal grandparents are from Yugoslavia.
"It took 39 years to make it here and it was very surreal even though I only got to spend a day there! It was worth it," Coco wrote in the caption.

Ice-T and his wife, Coco, are 21 years, one month and one day apart. Ice-T was born on Feb. 16, 1958, and Coco was born on March 17, 1979.
When did Ice-T and Coco get married?Ice-T and Coco married in January 2002 and renewed their vows in June 2011. In a 2012 episode of Conan, the pair dished on keeping their marriage fresh.
"I personally like to keep a pair of heels right by the bed just in case there's some freaky moment going on."
"I'm a shoe freak," Ice-T admitted.
"You have to key into your man and figure out what he wants," Coco added later. "A lot of guys like lingerie, but he doesn't like lingerie. He likes shoes."
Whatever works.
How many times has Ice-T been married?Coco Austin is Ice-T's first wife. However, Ice-T has had children with two other women. His high-school girlfriend, Adrienne, gave birth to their daughter, LeTesha, in 1976 when Ice-T was 18. He also dated his longtime partner, Darlene Ortiz, from 1984 to 2001 and the two share a son, Ice Tracy Marrow Jr., nicknamed Little Ice, who was born in November 1991.
Who is Darlene to Ice-T?Darlene Ortiz is Ice-T's ex-girlfriend and the mother of his son, Ice Tracy Marrow Jr., who was born on Nov. 23, 1991.
How many kids do Ice-T and his wife Coco have?Ice-T and Coco have one daughter, Chanel, who is 10 years old. Chanel is a regular on her parents' social media channels, dancing and otherwise goofing around, and has her own Instagram with more than 446K followers. In his speech on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Ice-T noted that Chanel could one day be in a position to stand behind the podium, too. "She has no fear of the stage," Ice-T said.
In a 2023 interview for the That Moment with Daymond John podcast, Ice-T revealed that he and his wife still share a family bed with their daughter. “I am so much more connected to her than my other kids," he said. "I’m comfortable. I’m in a cruise pattern. I was there when Coco was pregnant, I went to the hospital, and Chanel still sleeps in the bed with us.”
1979 Classic Live Album, Ranked Among 'Greatest of All Time,' Hid a Major Secret For 45 Years
Cheap Trick at Budokan is not only considered one of the best live albums ever released, it broke the band in America.
Prior to the release of the album in 1979, Cheap Trick was a Chicago quartet that was having trouble gaining traction in America, though they were big in Japan. That was until At Budokan began receiving airplay in U.S. after it was initially released in Japan in 1978. After 30,000 copies of the album sold in the U.S. as Japanese imports, Cheap Trick’s American label, Epic, decided to issue the album in the U.S.
As a result, the live version of “I Want You to Want Me” became a big hit, reaching No. 7 on Billboard’s Hot 100. The studio version of the song, included on the band’s second album, 1977’s In Color, failed to chart. The band’s live cover of Fats Domino’s “Ain’t That a Shame” also broke into the top 40 of the Hot 100, with At Budokan going on to sell more than 5 million copies worldwide, paving the way for Cheap Trick’s long and illustrious career.
Still, there’s one thing about Cheap Trick at Budokan that doesn’t ring true and wasn’t revealed until decades after the album’s release.
It wasn’t recorded at Budokan.
The Real Story Behind 'Cheap Trick at Budokan'Months before his death on May 11, 2026, at the age of 80, producer Jack Douglas revealed the story behind the album when he appeared as a guest on The Magnificent Otherspodcast with host, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan.
“So Budokan's not Budokan,” Douglas revealed. “It's Osaka.”
Despite the album’s title, a quick glance of the liner notes of the original album say only it was “recorded in Japan, April 1978.” Douglas and mixing engineer Jay Messina were asked to prepare the recordings from Nippon Budokan for release but found it impossible.
“They sent me the tapes, and Jay and I, we listened to everything. Budokan sounded terrible,” Douglas revealed. “It was just so poorly recorded. I don't know, like the mics were off, they were pointed the wrong direction, there was a little bit of drums, very little, not much, no bass drum.”
In order to put together a proper live album, Douglas turned to recordings from another show in Japan. “We went to Osaka, it was better. It was the best performance,” he explained.
Cheap Trick at Budokan is still considered a classic. The album was ranked No. 13 on Rolling Stone’s 2015 list of the “50 Greatest Lives Albums of All Time” and has been re-released on special anniversary reissues, including a 30th anniversary set, with a DVD, that required additional magic from Douglas. “[Cheap Trick guitarist] Rick [Nielsen] calls me up,” Douglas told Corgan. “He goes, ‘We have the film from Budokan. We're going to do a 5.1 [mix]. I want you guys to mix a 5.1 version of it. And I said, ‘You have the film from Budokan?’ He goes, ‘Yeah, just use like kind of the same mix maybe as…’ I said, ‘But that mix is Osaka, remember?’”
“So now Jay and I go to work on this thing, and thank God for Pro Tools, there was a cut-and-paste job," Douglas explained. "You would not believe because when there was a close-up on Rick or his hands or Robin [Zander] singing, that was Budokan. When I was a wide shot, it was Osaka. And it was just... It was a labor of love. I loved doing it.”
'70s Rock Frontman, 81, to Miss Several Shows After Surgery
Eric Bloom, the frontman of the '70s classic rock group Blue Öyster Cult, will miss several shows as he undergoes surgery.
On Wednesday, May 13, music journalist Mitch Lafontook to Facebook with a statement from Bloom, 81, that included an unexpected health update.
“During BÖC’s time off I scheduled a non-life threatening surgical procedure," the message from Bloom began. "I am on the mend, but the recovery is taking a little longer than expected."
He added, "Kasim Sulton will be standing in for me for a few shows and knock it out of the park! I’ll see you soon."
Bloom's temporary replacement, Sulton, served as a backup vocalist and bassist for the band from 2012 to 2017, per Ultimate Classic Rock.
As of writing, it's unclear how many shows Bloom will sit out. Blue Öyster Cult's next show is set for Saturday, May 16, in Oroville, Calif. After that, the band will perform on June 5 in Albuquerque, N.M., and June 10 in Del Mar, Calif.

Additionally, the rock group was portrayed in the popular Saturday Night Live skit, "More Cowbell," which aired in 2000.

This Lightweight Performance Layer Might Be the Most Underrated Running Essential Right Now
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Running has become a major part of my weekly routine. There's something about getting outside early in the morning or finding time in the evening to clear my head through movement that genuinely resets everything mentally for me. As someone who runs consistently throughout the week, I've realized quickly that having the right gear matters way more than people think. One uncomfortable shirt, heavy fabric or lack of breathability can completely throw off a run and make every mile feel longer than it should.
The older I get, the more I pay attention to performance apparel that actually works with my body instead of against it. When you're moving routinely every week, comfort is no longer optional. Lightweight materials, stretch, airflow and moisture-wicking technology become essentials rather than luxuries. Especially during warmer Georgia days, where humidity alone can drain your energy fast, the difference between average workout gear and quality running apparel becomes immediately noticeable.
Municipal Run Core LS Shirt, $74 at MunicipalMUNICIPAL
Shop It!That's honestly why the Run Core LS Shirt from Municipal caught my attention. At $74, this feels like one of those pieces designed for people who genuinely stay active throughout the week. The overall aesthetic is clean and athletic without looking overly technical, which makes it easy to wear before, during and even after a run.
What immediately stands out to me is the TurboDry moisture-wicking technology. Since I run regularly, sweat management is one of the most important factors I look for in performance clothing. Nobody wants that heavy, soaked feeling halfway through a workout where your shirt starts clinging to your body. This top is designed to rapidly move moisture away from the skin, helping keep runs feeling lighter and more comfortable even during intense sessions.
Related: Hobby Lobby's Antique-Inspired 6-Tier Wood Ladder Shelf Has Shoppers Calling It 'Perfect'
The lightweight 100GSM polyester construction, combined with four-way mechanical stretch, also makes a major difference. When I'm running, I need gear that moves naturally with me, not feeling stiff or restrictive. The flexibility here feels intentional. Whether it's shorter neighborhood runs, treadmill sessions or longer cardio days, breathable apparel becomes critical for maintaining comfort and rhythm.
I also appreciate how balanced the design feels overall. Some athletic brands overload their pieces with loud graphics or excessive branding, but this keeps things simple in the best way. The custom Run Core Municipal graphics on the sleeve and front hem add enough personality while still maintaining a clean performance look. It feels premium without trying too hard.
Another underrated feature for runners is the 1.5-inch drop-tail coverage. That extra length helps during movement and gives the shirt a better fit overall while running. Small details like that matter when you're active multiple times throughout the week, as they directly affect comfort during motion.
As someone who genuinely enjoys running and incorporates it into my weekly lifestyle, I've learned that proper gear can either elevate your experience or completely ruin it. Good running apparel should almost disappear while you wear it. You should feel focused on your pace, breathing and movement. Not distracted by discomfort or overheating. The Run Core LS Shirt feels built around that exact mindset. Lightweight performance, breathability and comfort for runners who consistently put miles in throughout the week.

After her removal, Vansteenberge explored his connection with Carthen, in a move that fans had been waiting for since Day 1, following Vansteenberge picking Carthen during a kissing challenge. Mel Robbins Wants You to Upload Your Financial Documents to AI— Here's Why That's a Terrible Idea
Mel Robbins’ advice isn’t always wise to take. Recently, the best-selling author and podcast host told women to upload their financial information to AI, a move that cybersecurity experts say isn’t worth the risk.

The IG PostIn the now viral Instagram post, Robbins shows a paper copy of a Harvard study that states women are 40% less likely to adopt AI. She warns that many women aren’t keeping pace with the controversial technology and advocates using two prompts to help them take control of their finances.
“You have to lean in,” Robbins says enthusiastically as she talks to women, especially women over the age of 55. She notes a comment from a woman named Patricia who says AI makes her uneasy, but she doesn’t want to get left behind.
View this post on Instagram Drawbacks of AIWhile AI can automate workflows and make organization easier, it has significant drawbacks that may leave you open to fraud and identity theft.
AI Chatbots are not end-to-end encrypted, and they use the data you input to continue to train their AI models. If you upload your bank statements and credit card information, as Robbins suggested, then you’re showing your very personal and private banking information to a system that can be viewed by actual humans.

BacklashMany commenters were horrified by Robbins’ advice. The comments section of the May 1st post contains significant backlash, with many questioning Robbins’ advice. One commenter, a New York Times best-selling author and digital anthropologist with the IG handle foushy, even pointed out that it violates EU privacy rules.
The Problems With AIIn addition to the privacy issues, AI isn’t always right. AI is trained by scouring the internet and analyzing billions and trillions of data points. Data points can include your uncle’s Facebook post, countless Reddit threads, and comments across other social media platforms. All of this information is subjective and unverified, leaving AI chatbots with potentially skewed perspectives.
AI takes the entirety of published human thought, including legally protected work, and creates an amalgamation to give you answers to the prompts you’re uploading. In theory, it’s an amazing tool for analyzing our collective knowledge and distilling it into personalized answers.
In reality, AI can be very damaging to your financial and emotional health. It’s also extremely damaging to the environment, contributing to water shortages and rising energy costs for everyday consumers nationwide.
If you do want to use AI to help with your finances, experts suggest redacting ALL identifying information, including account numbers, Social Security numbers, and personal data that could lead to fraud or identity theft. Robbins noted in the post's comments that she should have been more careful with the information she provided.

Makeup Artist Reveals the #1 Eyebrow Color Mistake That Washes Out Women With Gray Hair

Gray hair has had a serious cultural moment lately, and honestly, it's earned it. What was once something women rushed to cover up has become a full-on aesthetic choice—silver, salt-and-pepper, bright white, the whole spectrum.
The hair color world has finally caught up to what a lot of women already knew: gray hair can be genuinely striking and beautiful. The problem is that most makeup routines haven't caught up with it. People keep doing their brows the exact same way they always have, and against a completely different hair color, it's not working.
Eyebrows are one of those features that can either pull an entire look together or quietly undermine it—and most people don't realize how much their brow routine contributes to how fresh and defined their face appears overall.
When your hair changes, your brows need to change with it. The colors, contrasts and undertones that worked against your natural brunette or red or blonde aren't necessarily the ones that work against silver. What read as polished before can suddenly look harsh. What felt defined can start to feel heavy. And the features that gray hair is supposed to illuminate—its natural brightness, its light-reflecting softness—get flattened instead.
To find out exactly what's going wrong and how to fix it, we talked to celebrity makeup artist Nydia Figueroa, whose eighteen years of experience spans MAC Cosmetics, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, the Grammys, the VMAs and over 100 publications worldwide. She's seen this mistake in every context imaginable, and her fix is specific, actionable and—once you hear it—completely obvious.

The #1 Eyebrow Color Mistake That Washes Out Women With Gray HairThe biggest brow mistake that washes women out with gray hair is going too dark—specifically reaching for black or very deep brown (when you've always used black or very deep brown), without considering what's changed.
Figueroa sees it constantly.
"A lot of women stick to what they've always used," she tells Parade, "but against gray hair, that contrast can feel harsh and overpowering." The brows stop enhancing the face and start competing with it, and the net result is that the face looks washed out rather than defined.
The irony is that darker brows feel like the obvious solution when features start to fade—more color, more definition, more presence. But with gray hair specifically, that instinct backfires.

Why Does the Wrong Brow Color Make Gray Hair Look Dull?Gray hair has a quality that most other hair colors don't: it reflects light. That luminosity is one of the things that makes it look so beautiful when it's working. But it's also exactly what gets killed by the wrong brow shade.
"When the brows are too dark or too warm, they compete instead of complement," Figueroa says. "That imbalance can make the overall look feel flat and take away from the brightness gray hair naturally brings."
Too-warm brows—anything with a red or brassy undertone—clash against the cool, soft quality of gray hair in a way that reads as muddy rather than polished. Too-dark brows create a jarring contrast that draws the eye for the wrong reasons. Either way, the gray hair loses its glow.

Cool-toned shades are where Figueroa starts for almost everyone. Taupes, soft ash browns and gray-based tones work with the natural undertone of gray hair rather than fighting it.
For deeper skin tones, she doesn't abandon brown entirely—she just keeps it neutral.
"Stay within a deep brown family," she recommends, "just keeping it neutral rather than going all the way to black." The goal is to find a shade that creates definition without stark contrast.

How Should Someone Choose the Right Brow Shade for Their Skin Tone?Getty
Skin tone is the second half of the equation. Figueroa's framework breaks down like this:
- Cool undertones do best with ash, taupe or anything with a soft gray base.
- Warm undertones should stick to a neutral soft brown and steer clear of anything with red or brassy tones.
- Fair skin looks most natural with lighter, softer taupes that add definition without heaviness.
- Medium to deep skin tones can handle richer neutrals—just keep them slightly softened rather than going for maximum depth.
The through line across all of them: neutral is almost always better than warm, and "slightly lighter than you think you need" is almost always the right call, Figueroa says.

Other Common Eyebrow Mistakes To Avoid With Gray HairBeyond going too dark, Figueroa flags two more pitfalls she sees repeatedly:
- Over-defining the brows—creating a very precise, heavily filled shape—reads heavy against gray hair in a way it might not have before.
- Filling in the entire brow as a solid block, rather than building it with intentional strokes, is the difference between brows that look drawn on and brows that look real.
"Filling in the entire brow without intention instead of mimicking natural hair strokes" is how she puts it, and once you start noticing it on other people, you can't unsee it.

How To Fill in Brows for a Natural Look With Gray HairGetty
Start with the right shade—which, after reading this far, you now know means cooler and softer than your instinct suggests.
Then, Figueroa's technique is all about restraint and precision: "Use light, hair-like strokes to fill in sparse areas rather than coloring in the entire brow."
A tinted or soft-hold brow gel adds texture and a natural lift without adding any heaviness on top of what you've already filled in.
The goal isn't just to make the brows look fuller. It's to make them look like better, more defined versions of themselves.

What Should Women Do Instead for More Defined, Flattering Brows?Figueroa's technique starts with a step most people skip: setting the brows with a brow gel before you do anything else. "You can clearly see where you actually need to fill in," she explains—which prevents the over-filling that creates that heavy, block-like finish.
Her go-to is the Ardell Brow Glue, which she loves for the lift it gives the brow shape. After that layer sets, she goes in with a pencil or brow pen to create hair-like strokes only in the spots that actually need them. "It gives you definition and dimension," she says, "but still looks effortless and undetectable."
That last word is the whole idea. With gray hair, the brow goal isn't more—it's better. Softer, more intentional, more attuned to what the rest of your face is doing now. The women who get this right look impossibly put-together. The ones who don't can't quite figure out why their makeup always looks slightly off. Now you know why.

1993 Film Ranked the 'Best Music Biopic Movie' of All Time
Movie-goers are well aware that Hollywood has a habit of releasing films that focus on real-life musicians. Most recently, music fans have headed to theaters to watch Michael (2026), Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere (2025), and A Complete Unknown (2024). However, some music biopics are simply more acclaimed than others. Rotten Tomatoes proved this by releasing a definitive ranking of the "50 best music biopic movies."
The list included films like Love & Mercy from 2014, 2019'sRocketman, 2002's The Pianist, Amadeus from 1984, Blaze from 2018, and Funny Girl, released in 1968. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the 1993 film about the late Tina Turner, What's Love Got to Do With It, is the best music biopic movie. Rotten Tomatoes reported that the movie, starring Angela Bassett as Turner and Laurence Fishburne as Ike Turner, has a score of 97 percent on the website.
Angela Bassett Discussed Auditioning & Filming for 'What's Love Got to Do With It'During a 2020 interview on the Tamron Hall Show, Bassett opened up about auditioning for the 1993 biopic. The actress said she didn't have the "name recognition" when she auditioned for the film.
"I went in like everyone else. It was a real audition. It wasn't as if they knew who they wanted. I went in like everyone else and auditioned," said Bassett on the talk show.
In a 2018 interview on Good Morning America, Bassett shared that it was difficult to play Turner, who died in 2023 at the age of 83, in What's Love Got to Do With It.
"I remember how strenuous and arduous it was, physically but also emotionally. Every day, it was like, you know, you had to just go in so deep emotionally," said Bassett, who received an Oscar nomination for her What's Love Got to Do With It performance.
Bassett also noted that the production of the film was relatively short because of Turner's touring schedule.
"Usually it takes nine months to a year between finishing a movie, and it being sweet and edited and put together, and then present it. But it was three months later to coincide with her world tour. It was crazy. But we did it," said Bassett in the 2018 interview.
1971 Soft Rock Hit, First Recorded by Another Music Icon, Became a No. 1 Friendship Anthem
Carole King made way as one of the biggest singers after starting a solo career in the 1970s, which led to a hit track on her second album. That same year, the hit track topped the charts thanks toJames Taylor and became known as a top friendship anthem.
While working on tracks for her album Tapestry, King developed the song "You've Got a Friend." At the time, King and Taylor had been friends for years and even toured together when they were both working on their new albums. While King was working on her second album, Taylor was working on his album Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon.
According to Taylor, when he appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, he heard King playing the tune for the track and thought he had heard it before because of how "classic" it was. It led him to develop his own version of Carole's song when finishing up his album, but the problem was that King was planning to include "You've Got a Friend" on her record.
Instead of telling Taylor "no" to releasing the track, King told her friend to release it and was "supportive." It was later revealed by King that she had written the track as a response to Taylor's "Fire and Rain" song, which talked about needing a friend. King spoke about the track having been a moment of pure inspiration, and initially never had Taylor in mind for it.

She once explained that she "didn't write it with James or anybody really specifically in mind. But when James heard it he really liked it and wanted to record it". As a result, the hit track was released by both singers in 1971.
Taylor's version would go on to land at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, his only to do so, and ranked as one of the best tracks of that year. Ironically, his album was only kept off the charts due to King's Tapestry becoming a No.1 hit, thanks to other chart-topping tracks that were released. Taylor is even heard playing the guitar in King's version of the song.
"You've Got a Friend" became a staple as a friendship anthem that won Taylor a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. King also won a Grammy for the track for Song of the Year. Both versions of the track were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Singer Lisa Loeb, 58, Hits the Red Carpet and Looks Like She Hasn’t Aged a Day Since Her 1994 Hit ‘Stay'
Lisa Loeb may have skyrocketed to fame in the '90s, but the beloved singer and songwriter has barely aged a day in the last few decades.
Loeb, 58, rose to stardom in 1994 with her hit song, "Stay (I Missed You)." The tune, which was featured in the classic '90s flick Reality Bites, jumped to become a number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100, all while Loeb wasn't even signed to a recording contract. She followed up that groundbreaking hit with classics like "Do You Sleep?" and "I Do," and even released a children's album, That's What It's All About, alongside the band The Hollow Trees in 2024. Still regularly on tour, Loeb has no intention of slowing down anytime soon.
Flash forward to 2026, and Loeb hit the red carpet on Wednesday evening at the 2026 BMI Film, TV & Visual Media Awards at Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Sporting those trademark cat's eye glasses, the stunning singer has barely changed in the 32 years since her classic hit "Stay" first debuted.

Loeb Wasn't Signed to a Major Label When 'Stay' Came OutEarlier this month, Loeb sat down and discussed how she didn't even have a deal with a major record label when "Stay" came out.
"I had done a demo deal with somebody at one of the labels, and that song, when it went to number one, as it was climbing the charts, all the different A&R people and record labels, sort of the younger, up and coming A&R people, who were the people that were interested, finally their bosses were listening to them," Loeb shared.
Ultimately, she signed a record deal with Geffen Records when her song was number one on the charts.
"Literally that week," Loeb shared.

The Best Sci-Fi Books That Became TV Shows (And Whether the Show Did Them Justice)
Science fiction has always had a complicated relationship with screen adaptations. The genre's best novels tend to live or die on ideas (or on the logic of imagined systems), and translating that to television is genuinely hard. When it works, though, it works spectacularly. Here are the most notable sci-fi book-to-TV adaptations of the past decade, and whether or not they lived up to the source material.
The Handmaid's Tale (Hulu, based on Margaret Atwood's 1985 novel)
Verdict: Surpassed expectations. Atwood's story of a near-future theocracy that enslaves women as reproductive vessels was already one of the most acclaimed novels of the 20th century. The Hulu series, with Elizabeth Moss at its center, expanded the story beyond the book's ending for six seasons and won numerous Emmys. It is, by a wide margin, the gold standard for adapting literary sci-fi.
The Expanse (Amazon Prime Video, based on James S.A. Corey's nine-novel series)
Verdict: Matched the source. Saved from cancellation by Amazon after three seasons on Syfy, this hard-science space opera is the rare adaptation that fans of the books and new viewers alike consider a near-masterpiece. The chemistry between its ensemble cast maps almost perfectly onto the novels' character dynamics. All six seasons remain on Prime.
Silo (Apple TV+, based on Hugh Howey's Wool trilogy)
Verdict: Excellent. Howey self-published his first installment in 2011 as a short story. The Apple TV+ adaptation, led by Rebecca Ferguson, captures the claustrophobic paranoia of the books while expanding the world's mythology. Season 3 is expected later in 2026.
Foundation (Apple TV+, based on Isaac Asimov's classic novels)
Verdict: A successful, loose reinterpretation. Asimov's books were widely considered unfilmable due to their scale and unconventional narrative structure. The show takes significant creative liberties, adding character arcs and emotional throughlines largely absent from the source material. For purists, that's a problem. For everyone else, it's prestige sci-fi at a high level. Season 4 is confirmed.
Related: After Almost 50 Years, A Cult Sci-Fi Favorite Is Officially Coming Back
Dark Matter (Apple TV+, based on Blake Crouch's 2016 novel)
Verdict: Creator-approved and better for it. Crouch himself wrote and executive produced the series, which follows a physicist whose life is violently swapped with an alternate-universe version of himself. Having the author run the adaptation kept the emotional core of the book intact while expanding certain storylines for the screen. Season 2 is confirmed.
Murderbot (Apple TV+, based on Martha Wells' The Murderbot Diaries series)
Verdict: The adaptation fans dreamed of. Wells' sardonic, socially anxious security robot has one of the most devoted readerships in contemporary sci-fi. The Apple TV+ version, with Alexander Skarsgård perfectly cast in the lead, earned a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes and captured the books' rare combination of deadpan humor and genuine emotional depth. Season 2 is in production.
3 Body Problem (Netflix, based on Liu Cixin's Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy)
Verdict: Ambitious but uneven. The first season took considerable creative liberties with one of the most celebrated works of Chinese science fiction, relocating much of the action from China to England and reordering events significantly. It generated debate, as Liu Cixin's trilogy is beloved enough that changes resonated loudly. A second season is coming.

Netflix Quietly Ends Popular Legal Drama After 5 Seasons
Netflix has officially revealed the fate of one of its most popular legal dramas.
The streaming service confirmed that The Lincoln Lawyer will end after its upcoming fifth season. Production on the final season is already underway.
The series, based on Michael Connelly's popular book series of the same name, stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as defense attorney Mickey Haller, who runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln Navigator while taking on high-profile cases across Los Angeles.
“All good things must come to an end, but thankfully sometimes how they come to an end is up to us,” co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez said in a statement announcing the show’s conclusion.
The producers explained that they always hoped to give the story a proper ending rather than leave the series unresolved.
“From the very beginning, the mission was always not only to tell the story of Mickey Haller and his compatriots, but also to give that story a proper conclusion,” they said.
Since premiering in 2022, The Lincoln Lawyer has become one of Netflix’s most reliable drama hits, frequently landing near the top of the platform’s global streaming charts after new seasons debuted. Fans were drawn to the series’ mix of courtroom drama, Los Angeles noir and Garcia-Rulfo’s laid-back performance as Mickey Haller, the unconventional defense attorney who famously works from the back seat of his car instead of a traditional office.
The final season will consist of 10 episodes and will be inspired by “Resurrection Walk,” the seventh book in Connelly’s Lincoln Lawyer series.
According to Netflix, season 5 will introduce Mickey’s previously unknown half-sister, Emi Finch, played by Cobie Smulders, as Mickey takes on a major wrongful-conviction case while confronting long-buried family secrets.
The final season will also feature returning cast members Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole and Angus Sampson.
Humphrey and Rodriguez promised fans that the legal drama will receive a satisfying conclusion.
“We are right now building a final season that will provide the satisfying finale Mickey Haller deserves,” they said. “We can’t wait to share it with you!”
'Ted Lasso' Star Cristo Fernández (Dani Rojas) Just Signed a Real Pro Soccer Contract
"Fútbol is life"—and for Ted Lasso's Cristo Fernández, the line he made famous on the show is about to become his actual life.
The 35-year-old Mexican actor, who plays sunny forward Dani Rojas on the hit Apple TV series, has signed a professional soccer contract with El Paso Locomotive FC—a pro team that competes in a league just below Major League Soccer (MLS). The club announced the deal on Tuesday, May 13, 2026, pending league and federation approval. Per club policy, terms were not disclosed, but just like his on-screen alter ego at AFC Richmond, Fernández will lace up as a striker.

The signing is not only a dream come true for the actor/athlete, but what makes it even more emotional is that it fulfills a promise to his late father, who also loved soccer and passed away in December 2025. 'He always was like, "Ay, Cristobal, you are very crazy, but I believe in you,"' Fernández told ESPN.
Before signing with El Paso, Fernández trained with MLS team Chicago Fire and also went through a two-month trial with the Locomotive. “[Football] has always been a huge part of my life and identity—and no matter where life has taken me the dream of competing professionally never truly left my heart,” Fernández said in a statement on the club's website.

"This journey back to professional fútbol soccer is about believing in yourself, taking risks, and continuing to chase your dreams no matter how unexpected the path may be," he continued. "Because as we say in Mexico: 'Hay que seguirle echando ganas' (let’s keep giving it our all). Siempre agradecido con Dios, mi familia y amistades por creer en mí. Maybe I’m just a crazy man with crazy dreams… so being here with the “Locos” actually makes perfect sense. ¡Vamos Locos!”
Locomotive Head Coach Junior Gonzalez is thrilled about the team's newest player. “Cristo is a great addition to our roster, adding another attacking threat to our forward line,” he said. “His passion for the game and leadership qualities for our locker room allow us to continue growing the positive culture we strive for as a club.”
