Cheers to Mom: Matthew McConaughey’s Mother Steals the Show in New Tequila Spots
Everything is all right, all right, all right when it comes to Matthew McConaughey and his relationship with his mom, Kay McConaughey. The duo's tight bond is even more apparent in two entertaining new videos for Matthew's Pantalones Organic Tequila brand, titled "The Most Interesting Mom in the World."
One video kicks off with Matthew's signature Texan drawl and laid-back demeanor as he recounts a spicy tale about his now 94-year-old mom inviting her husband to his own wedding. Kay explains in a different setting, 'I said, 'Jim McConaughey, if you can make it, fine." If not, I'll go back to New York, and I model.'"
Kay goes on to unveil the "one very clear thing" she "loved" about her husband, according to Matthew. Simply put, she adds, "He was good in bed. We called it 'The Beast.'" Matthew's wife, Camila Alves, who sits next to him throughout the video, also sprinkles in some deadpan wit, stating, "I can't unhear that, can I?" Oh, but there's more!
MaMac tells viewers exactly how her husband passed — while "making love" to her. "What a way to go," she says, adding, "And they tried to cover him up. I said, 'Don't you dare cover him up. I want everybody to see what's made me so happy all this time.'"
The second "Most Interesting Mom in the World" video campaign focuses on Matthew and Camila's tequila product, with Kay giving a two-word answer to describe what makes Pantalones "so special." "The taste," she reports. And with that, no further questions were asked of the matriarch with the "incredibly sensitive palate, amazing vocabulary, and decades of drinking experience that make her sound like a sommelier."
As if having their mother and mother-in-law star in their brand videos wasn't enough, Matthew and Camila also decided to name a cocktail in her honor, called MaMac's Manhattan. She tells Southern Living, "It's made with Pantalones Organic Extra Añejo Tequila, Averna Amaro, orange bitters, and finished with an orange twist. It's delicious."
Matthew and Camila launched Pantalones Organic Tequila in 2023 and have since gained recognition and success within the wine and spirits industry. The brand is made with 100 percent organically grown Blue Weber agave and is available in three varieties: Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo.
And if you're hoping to create your very own MaMac's Manhattan at home, the recipe can be found on the Pantalones Organic Tequila website.
Beloved ‘Growing Pains’ Mom Joanna Kerns Is Honored by Her Onscreen Son for Mother’s Day
Jeremy Miller is honoring his onscreen mom, Joanna Kerns, who played Maggie Seaver on Growing Pains.
Miller, 49, played young Ben Seaver on the hit series, which followed Alan Thicke as a psychiatrist and Kernsas a TV reporter as they run their Long Island family. The series catapulted Kirk Cameron to stardom as sweet and rebellious Mike Seaver, and Tracey Gold as nerdy Carol. Ashley Johnson came on board as Chrissy Seaver, the youngest child, in season 4, and Leonardo DiCaprio was introduced as a homeless teen who was adopted by the family at the tail end of the show’s run.
In a new Instagram post, Miller honored Kerns, now 73, with a throwback photo from a 1987 episode, "Not Necessarily the News."
"In honor of the upcoming Mother's Day celebration, a pic of me and my 'other mom.'
Joanna Kerns was truly like a second mom to us. Loving, compassionate, stern when needed, and always there for us. Sounds like a mom to me. 😁," Miller wrote in the touching caption, which showed him in his onscreen mom's arms.
At 73, Kerns is still glowing like she was back in the days of playing Maggie Seaver. She hit the red carpet a few years back in 2020 at the opening night of the new play, "Grand Horizons," on Broadway at The Second Stage Hayes Theater in New York City. Still as stunning as ever!

What Has Miller Said About His Costars Saving Him From Homelessness? When Miller’s role concluded on Growing Pains in 1992, he went on to build a career as a private chef. But when the 2008 financial crisis hit, his business went under. Luckily, it was his former co-stars who saved him from ending up homeless.
During a recent interview with Scott Austalosh on the “Youngstown Studios” podcast, Miller recalled how Thicke and Cameron saved him, the New York Post reported.
“My catering company went under, and I was really struggling,” Miller recalled. “I mean, really struggling, on the brink of homelessness.”
“Things got really bad, and Alan and Kirk were the only two who stepped up to help me,” Miller shared. “Alan set up interviews with all of his restaurateur friends in Santa Barbara and a few other places, and got me connected to different places where I could utilize my chef skills and earn some money to help take care of my family.”
Miller went on to say, “All it took was a phone call to say, ‘Hey, Al, I’m really struggling. Do you know anybody who might…’ and that’s all I had to say. He was on the phone for the next two days, making connections and doing everything he could to try to help me. That was just the kind of guy he was.”
Check out Miller’s interview below:
What Did Miller Say About His Relationship with Alan Thicke?Miller had nothing but love for his onscreen dad, who passed away in 2016 at age 69.
“And he was always so full of life,” Miller shared during the podcast. “That was why losing him was such a shock. All of us, we really thought he was gonna be the next Dick Clark — 102 and still going. He was so full of life and so full of energy.”
“He was just such a kind, generous, and amazing man,” Miller continued. “He and I would talk probably once a month, once every two months. He would call just to check up on me, make sure everything was good.”
Miller went on to say that Thicke “really did fill that father role.”
“He was my other dad. As close as I am to my real father, I was almost as close to Alan. He did step into that role in a prominent way,” he added.
Clearly, Miller is thriving these days. It sounds like Thicke’s influence was a wonderful one!
Tatum O’Neal’s Son’s Powerful Mother’s Day Post: ‘You Were My Mom, Until Your Boyfriend Gave You Heroin'
Tatum O’Neal's son, Kevin McEnroe, is opening up about his relationship with his mother.
O’Neal, 62, rose to fame as a child with her star turn in Paper Moon, the 1973 American road comedy-drama directed by Peter Bogdanovich. The daughter of actor Ryan O’Neal, she was so successful in the role that she won an Academy Award at age 10. She went on to roles in films like the teen flick Little Darlings and The Bad News Bears, but struggled in subsequent years with personal problems, including widely-reported addiction issues and a fractured marriage to tennis star John McEnroe.
In a new Mother's Day essay for The Small Bow, Kevin opened up about the impact of his mother's addiction and alcoholism, and ultimately, dealing with his own addiction issues.
"When I was little, you were my mom, until your boyfriend gave you heroin. You were my mom when you were clean, between rehabs, but then sometimes you were Tatum, too," McEnroe shared, noting that he often referred to his mother by her first name. "Tatum used to leave in the middle of the night and sometimes not come back before morning. Tatum didn’t have a choice."
Her Debilitating StrokeO’Neal suffered a severe stroke in 2020 when she overdosed on pills in her Century City apartment. Dealing with chronic pain from rheumatoid arthritis, her doctor had prescribed her morphine, O’Neal recalled to Variety. Ultimately, the stroke forced her to fall into a coma for about six weeks. When she woke up, she was unable to talk, walk, or see.
In the essay, McEnroe shared that his mother resumed drinking after the stroke.
"You couldn’t read when you got out of the coma, but you started drinking again," McEnroe wrote.
O’Neal Triumphs at Her Son’s WeddingIn June 2025, O’Neal showed how far she’s come when she gave a speech at Kevin's wedding to actress Fern Cozine. The moment was a tremendous triumph for O’Neal, considering she nearly died just a few years before.
“My mother — who suffered a stroke in 2020 that left her temporarily nonverbal and immobile, but who fought her way back with grit and, at times, a kind of abridged elegance — got up and gave a speech,” Kevin told Vogue. “She thanked my father and stepmother for having her, told a bit of her wild life story, which she can’t seem to help, but also spoke of a future filled with love, hope, and joy. She was brave and gracious, and I was proud of her for doing so.”
View this post on Instagram Beaming Alongside Her Daughter, EmilyWhile O’Neal has struggled to get her strength back following her 2020 stroke, a photo posted to her Instagram in February showed she seems to be doing great. Smiling brightly alongside her daughter, Emily, O’Neal sported a pair of glasses and rosy cheeks as she held up the camera for a selfie. After everything O’Neal has been through, it’s great to see her feeling healthy again.

Jane Seymour Shares Rare 1971 Wedding Photos From Her First Marriage
Actress Jane Seymour, 75, is giving fans a glimpse into her early life with rare images from her little-known first marriage. The intimate wedding photos, all cast in that distinctive yellow of '70s-era film, capture Seymour as a young, 20-year-old bride—long before she became a Hollywood star.
In the bridal portrait of Seymour in 1971, she smiles sweetly, wearing a classic white gown with a romantic, high-collar design and a lace bodice and sleeves. She's holding small bouquet of roses and wearing a simple string of pearls and flowers in her hair, giving off that bohemian vibe typical of the early 1970s. The next photos are group shots from the wedding.
The photos capture Seymour's first wedding to theatre director Michael Attenborough, which took place in the UK on July 10, 1971. The couple was married from 1971 to 1973.

Michael is the nephew of world-renowned naturalist and broadcaster Sir David Attenborough, who recently turned 100 years old and has subsequently been in the news. His milestone birthday prompted Seymour to share the photos from her brief time as part of the prominent British arts family.
In fact, Seymour made her big-screen debut in the 1969 directorial debut from the late Richard Attenborough (best known these days for his role in the '90s Jurassic Park series). It was a satirical musical comedy titled Oh! What a Lovely War, and Jane was an uncredited teenage extra in the film. For context, Richard was older brother to Sir David, father to Michael, and, for a brief time, father-in-law to Jane.
"Celebrating the wonderful David Attenborough’s 100th birthday. 💙" Seymour captions the wedding shots on her Instagram. "These photographs come from a very special chapter of my life, and it felt like a lovely opportunity to honour someone whose voice, passion, and dedication have educated and inspired so many people around the world."

- "OMG😍 You look absolutely gorgeous in your wedding dress. This photo is truly a beautiful memory."
- "Oh wow Jane, thank you for that private view into your special photos. You look so beautiful in them. 😍"
- "So sweet ! You have always been so beautiful inside and out! ❤️"
- "❤️🔥Wow, what a lovely set of pictures to share Jane, thank you.😍😊 You look so young and very beautiful and still do.🌹💐💕"

Seymour and Michael Attenborough divorced in 1973. While she built an enduring, multi-decade acting career that continues today, she had three subsequent marriages that also ended in divorce. She's currently in a relationship with musician John Zambetti.
Today, Seymour has millions of loyal fans with a deep public affection and appreciation for the actress. She keeps them satiated by regularly sharing intimate glimpses into her past and present life via social media. Seymour resurfaced these old photos and the memories mostly just for them.

Alyssa Milano Shared Side-By-Side Photos of Herself as a Teen and Her Daughter, and It’s a Twin Situation
Alyssa Milano and her 11-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, could be twins.
Milano, 53, rose to stardom as a child on Who's the Boss, playing the daughter of Tony Micelli (Tony Danza, of course), who moves from Brooklyn to suburban Connecticut to work as a housekeeper for a wealthy advertising executive, played by Judith Light. Milano skyrocketed to fame as a pre-teen in the role, and grew up over the next decade in front of the cameras. Now married to David Bugliari, Milano is a mother of two, and her daughter, Elizabeth, is basically her twin. If they even decide to do that Who’s the Boss reboot, we know exactly who could play Samantha!
In a side-by-side photo, Milano shared a photo of herself as a teen next to a photo of her daughter, and it's definitely a twinning situation.
"My girl," Milano captioned the sweet photo set.
View this post on Instagram What Are the Chances of a Who’s the Boss Reboot?Rumors of a Who’s the Boss reboot have gotten fans of the classic series curious in recent years. Last year, Milano told Entertainment Tonight that she thinks a reboot would be a great idea.
“I think it could be really funny because, in my head, Tony is gonna be the exact same character but everything around him is just changing and growing,” Milano told ET. “So I’m excited about the prospect. I think it could be really, really fun.”
However, Light isn’t sure she’d be able to commit to the show just yet. However, she made it clear that she also can’t guarantee what will happen in the future.
“In terms of where I am and the workload that I have right now, I don’t know what my availability would be,” the actress told PEOPLE last year. “When I started my career, I said I’d never do a soap opera and I’d never do a sitcom,” she continued. “Well, I did both those things. Then I said I would never marry an actor. And I did just that. So, I learned to never say never.”
Who could forget that classic series opening theme?

'Grey's Anatomy' Fans Are Divided on Whether Teddy and Owen Are Meant to Be Together
There are nonstop debates in the Grey's Anatomy fandom about which pairings on the medical show are swoon-worthy or annoying. The original perfect pairing was Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey). And that didn't last forever since Dempsey, 60, left the show and his character was killed off.
Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) and Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) have a long history with each other, and it wrapped up with their exit in Season 22. Fans can't agree on whether they were meant to be together.
Did Teddy and Owen End up Together on 'Grey's Anatomy'? Kevin McKidd and Kim Raver as Dr. Owen Hunt and Dr. Teddy Altman on Grey's AnatomyABC
The married couple divorced in Season 21. Teddy knew he had feelings for a childhood friend and patient, Nora (Floriana Lima). This was a long time coming after Teddy's introduction in Season 6, when Owen was still dating Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh).
Related: ‘Grey’s Anatomy’: Why Kevin McKidd Won’t Fully Leave After Dr. Owen’s Exit
However, Season 22's finale showed the former couple deciding to try again and move to Paris with their kids. A Reddit fan started a thread with "Teddy and Tom were 100% more compatible then Teddy and Owen."
Tom Koracick (Greg Germann) was a neurosurgeon who was with Teddy until she dumped him for Owen. He bought her a house while she was pregnant with Owen's baby. He was building a crib as she gave birth. The new mother dumped him for Owen.
"My heart broke seeing Tom put that dang crib together," a fan replied.
But everyone wasn't a fan of the neurosurgeon. "I had to stop watching for a bit," another person wrote. "Killed me too. Tom was an unbearable character for me until I learned his history through April's (Sarah Drew) crisis. He’s now understandable."
"I agree but I hated Owen already and then seeing how Teddy treated both of them, I’m happy she ended [with] Owen because they deserve each other," one commenter wrote.
There are other viewers who thought neither man was right for the cardiothoracic surgeon. She was married to Henry (Scott Foley) before his death. "Teddy’s greatest romance on this show was Henry," a fan declared. "Koracick is second, [Allison] (Sherri Saum) is 3rd. Hell, even the trauma counselor guy from season 7 is above Owen in terms of chemistry."
Grey's Anatomy showrunner, Meg Marinis, told The Hollywood Reporter that they decided to wrap up the couple's story. Their happy ending leaves the door open for them to return, possibly.

Fans Send Prayers to 'Duck Dynasty' Star After Unexpected Health Update
Last month, Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson told her Instagram followers that her daughter, Kit, suffered a medical emergency when she started choking.
The 8-month-old actually stopped breathing and she had to do CPR, according to Robertson's account. She was able to get her daughter to cough and breathe, but a trip to the hospital has uncovered something new. Now, Robertson is sharing an update about her baby girl.
"A month since Kit choked, and what we thought was a one-time event, happened again shortly after… and that was the beginning of discovering something underlying," Robertson wrote on Instagram on May 8. "Praise the Lord that for such a scary and life-threatening event we had, it was a relatively small fix, because of the incredible doctors, and she is healing now. God really does establish STRENGTH in the mouth of infants."
View this post on InstagramAlong with her lengthy caption, Robertson included a video of herself singing to Kit in the hospital. The baby appeared to be sleeping peacefully in her mama's arms, sucking on a pacifier.
The comments section of Robertson's post quickly filled up with messages from family, friends, and fans sending support and prayers.
"How blessed is she to have a Mom like you!! Praying for sweet Kit and praising God for his healing power," one person wrote.
"Oh sweet Kit! Praying for you all. I’m so happy she’s feeling better," someone else added.
"Sending love and prayers to you and your family. Kit truly is a miracle. God is going to do incredible things through her—He’s doing so much already. Forever inspired by your faith in Jesus, friend," a third comment read.
Robertson and her husband, Christian Huff, welcomed Kit in August 2025. They are also parents to daughters Haven and Honey.
Here’s Kylie Jenner’s Iced Coffee Recipe—and P.S., Stormi Doesn’t Approve
When Kylie Jennerisn’t busy sitting courtside at the New York Knicks playoff games with her beau, actor Timothée Chalamet, she’s doing something very relatable—making iced coffee. In a recent Instagram clip, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star treated fans to a Kylie-style tutorial on how to be an at-home barista. And while her adoring public is all for the home-brewed beverage, Jenner’s daughter doesn’t feel the same.
Kylie Jenner’s Morning Coffee RecipeSo how exactly does the Kylie Cosmetics founder make her coffee? Forget about basic instant blends. The entrepreneur has a recipe that’s…well, let’s just say that it’s absolutely interesting.
Jenner starts the video by saying, “We’re going to attempt to make an iced coffee.” And no, that doesn’t really inspire confidence in her skills.
Of course, Kylie isn’t the only Jenner who has had a culinary faux pas. KUWTK fans may remember when Kylie’s sister, Kendall Jenner, famously attempted to slice cucumbers a few years back. As the cameras rolled, and mom Kris Jennerwatched, Kendall basically butchered the poor cuke. Kris asks “the chef” to finish the job, and even though Kendall keeps cutting, critics slammed the reality star/model for her less-than-stellar kitchen skills.
As it turns out, Kylie’s coffee-making adventure went much better. While she admits, “I’m not good at this, I actually have no idea what I’m doing,” she does seem pretty professional.
As Jenner takes us on her iced coffee journey, her eight-year-old daughter, Stormi Webster, pops in for a hug from mom. One explanation of Stormi’s sling (as it turns out, she had an injury at school that Kylie says is fine and doesn't really require the sling viewers can see in the clip) and one mom-daughter staring contest later, the drink is brewed and almost ready to go.
What’s in Jenner’s glass? She explains, “I just did oatmilk, coffee…I poured the coffee in, now I’m going to do a little bit of this banana syrup.” As she picks up a bottle of creamer, Kylie adds, “Call me crazy, Stormi, no, don’t actually call me crazy. I’m going to do a little bit…a tiny bit of vanilla and a tiny bit of cookie dough.”
Jenner walks away to get a straw and, as she says, “That was very good” in the background. Judging by the clip (and Stormi shaking her head no vehemently), the little girl clearly has an issue with her mom’s creative concoction.
Apparently, Stormi isn’t the only one who doesn’t exactly approve. Friends and fans had plenty to say. Influencer Catherine Ebs wrote, “You’re not selling me on this recipe,” and one commenter added, “Girl, you know that doesn’t taste good, lol.”
Oatmilk, banana, vanilla, and cookie-dough iced coffee? We’re not sold either!
Walmart’s ‘Fun and Colorful’ $24 Outdoor Rug Is the Final Touch Your Patio Setup Is Missing
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Relaxing patio furniture? Check. A grill that can handle burgers, steaks, and everything in between? Check. String lights and a setup that feels inviting after sunset? Also check. When you’re building out a backyard, the essentials tend to come together pretty quickly, and suddenly you’ve got a space that works for hosting, lounging, and everything in between.
But the truth is, even the best patio setups can feel a little unfinished without the right finishing touches. Accessories are what turn an outdoor area into a true extension of the home. If you’re looking for one of those high-impact pieces that pulls it all together, the Lahome Decor Rainbow Outdoor Rug is currently $24 in the 5-by-8-foot size, marked down 52% from its original $50 price tag thanks to a limited-time Walmart flash deal.
Lahome Decor Rainbow Outdoor Rug, From $24 (was $50) at Walmart Shop at WalmartThis rug leans into a modern, geometric aesthetic through a tightly woven double-rainbow pattern that’s available in six colors. The design is fully integrated into the weave itself, with interlaced curved lines and alternating bands of color worked directly into the polypropylene fabric. Because it’s fully reversible, the same pattern appears on both sides with an inverted color emphasis, effectively giving you two usable looks in one piece while also helping extend its lifespan. One shopper confirmed that the “fun and colorful” design “brightens up the backyard.”
The flat-woven construction sits flush to the ground and works easily under patio furniture without bunching or creating uneven surfaces. Finished with tightly stitched binding along the edges and reinforced corner seams, it’s designed to hold its shape even in high-traffic areas. The weave is made from lightweight virgin polypropylene plastic straws, giving it a subtly textured feel that is smooth enough to feel comfortable on bare feet. It’s also UV-resistant and abrasion-resistant, meaning it's less likely to fade, rip, or unravel with use.
Related: Walmart's 'Pretty' $24 Outdoor Area Rug Has a 'Bright and Beautiful' Reversible Design
Care is simple, with reviewers highlighting that the rug is “waterproof and so easy to clean.” Because the fibers don’t absorb moisture, spills, rain, and wet shoes stay on the surface and can be quickly wiped away or rinsed. It’s also resistant to mold and mildew buildup, which makes it especially practical for seasonal outdoor use. Four integrated stake loops help secure it directly into grass or soil for added stability in breezy conditions, making it especially useful for camping trips, beach days, and picnic setups where wind can be an issue.
Available in four rectangular sizes, starting at a standard 5-by-8-foot option, the rug can scale to fit a range of spaces, from small balconies and larger patios to RV awnings and indoor transitional areas like sunrooms and playrooms.

This week, the beauty hit the red carpet to attend the Grammy Hall of Fame Gala 2026 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, and worked the red carpet in an androgynous look before receiving an award onstage. With her long hair in tight curls cascading down her shoulders, Jackson looks almost the same as she did back on the red carpet in the '90s.

Jackson Made Her First Public Performance in 7 Years in 2025Jackson’s performance in May 2025 at the American Music Awards was her first public performance in seven years. With 50 years of making music under her belt, it’s safe to say people were eager to see her back on the stage. She also received the ICON Award at the ceremony.
“I love you so much,” Jackson said in her acceptance speech, according to PEOPLE. “I am so so honored. I am so grateful. I mean, no disrespect in any way, but I don’t consider myself an icon.”
She continued, explaining that it wasn’t the Jackson family’s goal to be famous.
“We weren’t raised like that. We always had a special love for music, dancing, singing, and fame came with the result of hard work and dedication,” she explained. “My story, my family’s story, is truly an American story. This would have only happened in America.”

'Love Island' Fan-Favorite Is Saying Goodbye to the Franchise After 7 Years
Love Island USA is almost back! But this time a familiar face will not be returning to Fiji.
Love Island USA: After Sunhost Maura Higgins shared with Vulture that she will not be returning to the franchise for its upcoming eighth season.
When asked if fans would see her in Fiji this Summer, Higgens shared, “You won’t. I’ve done it for three years, and they’ll always be family to me, but I think it’s time to try something different.”
Following a successful run on The Traitors US Season 4, where she made it to second place, Higgens shared she has amazing opportunities coming in the door, including the upcoming 35th season of the ABC reality competition series, Dancing with the Stars.
“I think it’s time to say goodbye,” the reality star said to the outlet regarding the reality franchise that she has been a part of in some fashion since her debut on Love Island UK’s fifth season in 2019.
Now, that doesn’t mean Higgins is closing the door to appearing on the franchise for good. “But you know what? I won’t say forever,” she teased.
Higgins added that she will still be watching the series, “I love them and miss them. It’s just time to move on,” she added.
Higgins joined the Love Island franchise in 2019 as a bombshell and made it to the finale alongside popular islander Curtis Pritchard, with the pair ultimately ending the series in fourth place.
Since then, she has made appearances on various reality series, including I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, Dancing on Ice, and has been a part of the Love Island USA franchise since 2023 in various roles.
Higgins will make her acting debut with the Irish comedy The Spin later this year. Prior to joining reality television, Higgins was a professional model, appearing in various campaigns, including Monster Energy, and appeared in the music video for Liam Payne's hit song "Get Low".
Love Island USA Season 8 premieres June 02, 2026 streaming exclusively on Peacock.
Makeup Artist Says Spring 2026 Is All About 'Ghost Lashes'—So, See Ya, Mascara
Larger-than-life lashes are a mainstay on red carpets and runways alike, and we don't see that changing anytime soon. After all, there's something ultra-glamorous about full, long lashes, especially since they do a marvelous job of making your eyes pop.
Still, every so often, an eyelash trend tries to swoop in and give falsies a run for their money. Spring 2026 is all about ghost lashes, so Parade was curious to know what the makeup trend is all about and whether it has staying power.
To learn more, we chatted with Markphong Tram, a professional makeup artist based in New York, and asked him what ghost lashes are and why some makeup artists are skipping mascara altogether as we head into the warmer months.
Tram shares plenty of tips for achieving the ghost lashes look on your own and breaks down some common mistakes to avoid when trying the trend at home.
To help you decide whether or not ghost lashes are right for you, the makeup artist offers insight into who the trend flatters the most. So, if you're interested in making your eyes look defined without mascara, his insights will help you nail the look.

What Are 'Ghost Lashes'?The term "ghost lashes" sounds mysterious, but it's really quite simple.
"Ghost lashes can mean going without lashes, wearing just a light touch of mascara (or none at all), allowing your natural lashes to breathe and stand on their own," Tram says.

Why Some Makeup Artists Are Skipping Mascara AltogetherFalse lashes and lengthening mascaras are perfect when you want your eyes to really stand out. But this spring, some makeup artists are favoring the ghost lashes look. Curious to know why the trend is gaining traction, we asked Tram—and he cites the rising popularity of natural beauty.
"Ghost lashes are all about embracing your natural beauty with that clean-girl aesthetic," he says. "Honestly, who doesn’t love a beauty trend that promotes something so positive?"
While working with clients, Tram doesn't usually skip mascara unless they ask him to do so. However, he often incorporates elements of the ghost lashes trends into his work.
"Even with natural lashes, I’ll often apply a very light coat just to restore a bit of definition after the foundation process," he says.
Overall, the rising popularity of ghost lashes signals a shift in women's ever-evolving relationship with beauty.
"At the end of the day, it really comes down to what makes the client feel most comfortable and confident in how their makeup is done," Tram says.

How To Get the 'Ghost Lashes' LookConsidering giving the ghost lashes trend a try? Tram has a few tips for mastering the look.
"The simplest approach is to skip heavy falsies and heavy-coated black mascara all together," he says. "Instead, gently curl your lashes and use a small amount of clear mascara or brow gel to hold the shape."
Additionally, Tram says a "softer" mascara shade like brown can provide a more natural look.
"Or, consider a lash tint or lift to cut down on daily effort. The goal is to lift and separate your lashes, creating the appearance of brighter, more open eyes," he suggests.

Who the 'Ghost Lashes' Trend Works Best ForBefore you try a new makeup trend, it's always best to consider how it will flatter your features. Tram notes that ghost lashes are generally "great for anyone who wants to try out a new makeup style." The trend can also work well in the workplace.
"It's especially perfect for 9–5 beauties who prefer a minimal approach. Think quick, effortless, out-the-door in five minutes and ready to take on the day," he tells Parade.
Anyone who was blessed with full, thick lashes can easily rock the look.
"Because honestly, no one wears that soft, natural lash look better than they do," Tram says.

3 Common Mistakes To Avoid When Trying the 'No Mascara' TrendWhile you're mastering a new makeup trend, you're bound to make a few mishaps along the way. Luckily, you can avoid some common mistakes with Tram's professional know-how.
1. Don't totally neglect your lashesFor starters, the ghost lashes trend is certainly minimalistic, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't give your lashes any love.
"The goal isn’t to do nothing. It’s to create a refined, barely-there look. Even if you skip mascara, your lashes still need some attention," he explains.
Leaving your lashes uncurled can make them appear "tired or flat," per Tram, so giving them a quick curl can "instantly open them up without adding product."
2. Highlight other areas of your faceMascara frames the eyes, so when you skip it, Tram says you'll want "subtle definition elsewhere."
"Try lightly filling in your brows or tightlining your lash line. Otherwise, your features can fade," the makeup pro says.

3. Aim for a balanced makeup lookKeeping the rest of your makeup in balance can take your ghost lashes look to the next level.
"Heavy foundation, strong contour or bold lips can clash with the no-makeup effect," Tram says.
In the end, the ghost lashes trend is about "harmony with skin, brows, eyes and lips" as they all "work together in a soft, understated way."

How To Make Your Eyes Look Defined Without MascaraWorried that your eyes won't look defined without mascara? Tram says it's all about enhancing their shape and adding both contrast and depth.
"Try applying a dark eyeliner (brown or black) along your upper waterline, right beneath your lashes. This subtly thickens the look of your lash line without any obvious makeup," he says.
You can also softly define the lash line by smudging a pencil or dark eye shadow at the base of your lashes.
"This offers a gentle, smoky effect and adds definition without feeling heavy," Tram says.
Lastly, a lash curler can provide much-needed lift and help your eyes "look more open and awake without needing mascara."

Best-Selling Author’s Classic Book Ranked Among ‘Most Streamed Audiobooks’ of All Time
More than a decade after its release, Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind is still finding new audiences, this time through headphones.
The bestselling book by Yuval Noah Harari was recently ranked among the most streamed audiobooks of all time on Spotify, highlighting the lasting cultural impact of a nonfiction title that transformed complex history into a global phenomenon.
Originally published in Hebrew before becoming an international bestseller, Sapiens explores the history of humanity from the emergence of early Homo sapiens to the modern technological age. Harari examines how humans evolved from relatively insignificant creatures into the dominant force on the planet, blending history, anthropology, science and philosophy into one expansive narrative.
The book became widely praised for making massive historical concepts feel accessible and engaging. Rather than focusing only on wars and political leaders, Harari explores ideas like money, religion, agriculture and capitalism, arguing that shared beliefs and collective myths helped shape civilization itself.
View this post on InstagramIts popularity exploded through word-of-mouth recommendations and celebrity endorsements, eventually turning Sapiens into one of the defining nonfiction books of the 21st century.
"In some areas we've done amazingly well; in other areas we've done amazingly bad," the author told NPR. "Humans are extremely good in acquiring new power, but they are not very good in translating this power into greater happiness, which is why we are far more powerful than ever before but we don't seem to be much happier."
The audiobook format has played a major role in extending that reach even further. As long-form listening has surged in popularity, many readers have gravitated toward audiobooks that combine education with immersive storytelling, helping Sapiens become a standout performer on Spotify's platform.
The continued success of the audiobook also reflects a broader appetite for nonfiction that helps explain the modern world through a historical lens.
Years after its original publication, Sapiens remains a cultural touchstone—one that continues to spark debate, curiosity and conversation around how humanity arrived at this moment in history.
"I think morality is more important than ever before," Harari told The Guardian. "As we gain more power, the question of what we do with it becomes more and more crucial, and we are very close to really having divine powers of creation and destruction. The future of the entire ecological system and the future of the whole of life is really now in our hands. And what to do with it is an ethical question and also a scientific question."
Its place among Spotify's most streamed audiobooks of all time proves that compelling storytelling doesn't just belong to fiction.
Major Country Concert Hit With Last-Minute Schedule Shakeup
Fans heading to tonight’s Luke Combs concert in Norman, Oklahoma, have been met with a last-minute update just hours before showtime. The changes were made due to inclement weather expected in the area, with organizers adjusting the schedule for multiple performers.
"Due to the incoming forecasted inclement weather and lightning, we will be shifting the schedule for today's show in Norman, OKLA. My team and l are doing our best to give all of our friends their time with you today," Combs said in a statement posted to his Instagram Stories.
"This is the updated schedule:
Doors: 4 PM
Thelma & James: 4:10 - 4:25 PM
Jake Worthington: 4:40 - 5:00 PM
Ty Myers: 5:20 - 5:45 PM
Dierks Bentley: 6:05 - 6:50 PM
Luke Combs: 7:20 PM"
"Thank you for understanding the unfortunate situation we are in," Combs continued. "It's important to get the show played for all of you and I know the change of plans might be slightly inconvenient, but your safety and the time you took today to see the show is top priority. See y'all soon!"
According to the National Weather Service, severe weather is expected in the area this evening. Storms are expected to roll in around 3 p.m. local time and are expected to produce lightning, hail, and potentially damaging wind gusts. There is a low tornado risk with this weather system, which should pull out of the area before midnight.
Combs' stop in Norman is the latest on his "My Kinda Saturday Night Tour," which kicked off in March. He has two more tour dates in the U.S. before he takes his show across the pond for about a dozen or so more performances.

Taylor Swift's 2017 Hit Rated No. 1 of Songs You Didn't Know Were Samples
A well-used sample could outperform the original version of the song. When that happens, listeners are surprised that the hit isn't completely new.
There is a ranking of the best songs that you didn't know were samples. Taylor Swift came out on top.
MsMojo released a video of the top 10 songs that used samples. Gwen Stefani was at the bottom of the list with "Hollaback Girl," which used "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen in a clever way.
It nods to the rock song with "That's right, I'm the last one standing/Another one bites the dust." The sample is also used with the 2004's melody.

Swift, 36, placed number one with "Look What You Made Me Do." She is known for her pen work, but she's also not against sampling.
"The effortlessly cool melody interpolates English band Right Said Fred's pop song, 'I'm Too Sexy,' which was a hit in its own right," explained the video's narrator. The duo, Richard Fairbrass, Fred Fairbrass, and songwriter Rob Manzoli, were given a writing credit for the song.
It's an odd collaboration at first. Swift's hit was all about revenge, and the English band's song has playful, boastful lyrics about being too sexy to wear clothes. Right Said Fred wore muscle shirts in their music video. Swift is glamorous while being in dangerous situations. But it's the "Look what you made me do" part of the number that parallels the "too sexy" song.
"Thank you Taylor Swift, what a marvellous reinvention!" the twitter account for Right Said Fred quoted in response to her sharing promotion for the single.
The song was on her Reputation album and fits its vindictive tone. People were more focused on references to her feud with Kim Kardashian than the samples. The other credited writers and producers are Swift andJack Antonoff, and most people wouldn't suspect there are more.

Tim McGraw Just Revealed the Chilling Coincidence That Changed His Life Forever
Country music icon Tim McGraw is opening up about an emotional memory from the very day his journey to Nashville began. While reflecting on arriving in Music City on a Greyhound bus in 1989, the country superstar revealed a heartbreaking coincidence tied to one of his lifelong musical heroes—and why the moment still feels deeply personal decades later.
"On that day, ironically, Keith Whitley died," McGraw captioned an Instagram post on May 9. "It’s no secret I’ve been a huge Keith Whitley fan my whole life, and if you’ve ever seen me on stage, I started the night warming up with @bobminner, sitting on a road case in a hallway backstage or hanging out in the dressing room."
View this post on InstagramMcGraw's post comes as he reflects on recording music with longtime collaborator Bob Minner and acclaimed singer-songwriter Lori McKenna—a full-circle moment tied to his love for late country star Keith Whitley and the music that shaped his career.
"It takes me to the core of what I love about music — a great song, a great player, the ghost of one of my heroes singing along with me, the magic background vocals from one of my favorites… and I get to sing,” McGraw wrote. “Doesn’t get better than that."
Whitley was known for classic songs like "Don't Close Your Eyes" (1988), "When You Say Nothing at All" (1988), and "I'm No Stranger to the Rain" (1989). He died in 1989 from acute alcohol poisoning at the age of 34.
As McGraw takes a beat to share this memory, his schedule is going to pick up very soon. He's set to kick off his 2026 "Pawn Shop Guitar Tour" on July 9, 2026, at the Bethel Woods Center For The Arts in Bethel, New York. He has more than 30 shows lined up through the end of September.
