Goldie Hawn Opens up About Family—and the Inspiration Behind Her New Children’s Book
She’s an actress, an icon, a mother, a grandmother, and…a children’s book author! Goldie Hawn has had a storied Hollywood career that includes a lengthy list of credits, ranging from her early days on Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In to fan-favorite films such as The First Wives Club and Overboard.
And while she’s known for her body of work, the 80-year-old actress is more than just a famous face. Hawn is also a dedicated partner (to long-time love Kurt Russell), mother, and grandmother with three children (Oliver Hudson, Kate Hudson, and Wyatt Russell), one stepchild (Boston Russell), and eight grandchildren.
In a recent interview withPeople, Hawn opened up about her family and her new children’s book, The After-School Kindness Crew Pooch on the Loose, saying, “My life’s mission is to be happy. My life’s mission is to be an example for my children and my family.” And what a family Hawn has! Not only is she famous, but so are her kiddos.
The mother of four recently walked the red carpet with her daughter at the 2026 Academy Awards, where Kate was nominated for Best Actress. In a sweetly sentimental Instagram post, featuring a mommy-daughter moment and a family photo with Russell (Kurt, that is), Hawn writes, “I’ve walked down a few red carpets in my life, but none felt quite like this. Walking on air. Holding the hand of my child who is so gifted, so kind, and so beautiful, while still seeing the little 7 year old girls with stars in her eyes, dreaming of doing exactly what she’s done. To sing like a bird and make people smile, laugh, and cry. How blessed am I.”
View this post on InstagramThe actress/author initially announced her new children’s book venture, co-written with Lin Oliver, on Instagram, gushing, “I’m thrilled to share that together with wonderful, bestselling writer @linoliver22 we’ve created a new book series for kids “The After-School Kindness Crew”! The first book comes out May 5, 2026.” Hawn continued, “Each book will show kids solving everyday problems with kindness, curiosity, and mindfulness. The books will also include brain breaks throughout, guided breathing exercises that allow the reader to pause, take a breath, and collect their thoughts.”
View this post on InstagramWith eight grandkids, it looks like Hawn has a built-in audience. So what does her family think about the new series? According to Hawn, her 12-year-old granddaughter, Rio, enjoyed the book. “She loved that it was funny, and it is funny, I have to say.” This is the first in a series of new books inspired by Hawn’s MindUP mental health program.
Matthew McConaughey's Wife Camila Alves Wows Fans With Photo of 'Absolutely Stunning Family'
Matthew McConaughey's wife Camila Alves just shared a gorgeous photo of her family of five.
Posting a carousel of pics from the Mack, Jack & McConaughey fundraising gala, which raises money for various children's charities, over the weekend, Alves's photo of her, McConaughey, and their three kids was front and center.
"14th year of @mackjackmcconaughey empowering, changing and saving kids lives!" she captioned the photos. "2 and half days of absolute fun between amazing music, fashion, golf and more!"
View this post on InstagramThe couple's daughter Vida, 16, donned a gorgeous blue form-fitting Alice and Olivia dress, while her brothers, Levi, 17, and Livingston, 13, were a bit more casual in slacks and sneakers. Alves sported a stunning black sequenced L'agence gown.
And fans couldn't help but comment on how great the family looked.
"I love you all so much Camilla! The most absolutely stunning family walking the earth! And kindest," one wrote.

In additional photos of the event, which took place at ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Texas, Vida, who's essentially her mom's twin, was also seen chatting with a reporter.
While the McConaughey kids stay out of the spotlight for the most part, Vida has been making appearances with her mom recently. In March, the teen joined Alves at the 2026 TIME Women of the Year Gala, where the two coordinated in chic blazer ensembles.
“What an honor it was to be there with my daughter, for her to see and be in the presence of the most amazing Women on all fields achieving important, inspiring and life changing things,” Alves captioned her Instagram post at the time. “Thank you to all of you for showing me and my daughter all that can be possible!”

Prime Video's 'The Boys' Teases Long-Awaited Reunion Between 'Supernatural' Stars Six Years After Show's Conclusion
Practically since the moment Jared Padalecki was cast in Prime Video's fan-favorite superhero series, The Boys, fans have been eagerly awaiting a reunion between the 43-year-old actor and his Supernatural co-star Jensen Ackles.
Fortunately, after weeks of fervent anticipation, Prime has revealed that the new episode of the hit drama will find the former Winchester brothers officially reuniting on-screen.
In the trailer for The Boys' upcoming fourth episode, Padalecki's character is finally shown interacting with some of the main characters within the show. While the circumstances of his appearance remain shrouded in mystery, Amazon knowingly referenced his connection to Supernatural's Ackles by having Giancarlo Esposito humorously observe, "It should be a delightful reunion."
As most fans might recall, Padalecki and Ackles starred in the beloved CW horror fantasy series for a total of 14 years. Within the context of the show, the two actors portrayed the lovable Winchester siblings: a pair of brothers tasked with protecting the world from all manner of demons, ghosts and other paranormal creatures.
Starring on the series for a total of 15 seasons, Supernatural ultimately concluded with its series finale in 2020. Roughly six years later, The Boys will formally bring Padalecki and Ackles together again in an unexpected reunion on the uber-violent action series.
Within The Boys, Ackles portrays the foul-mouthed Captain America spoof, Soldier Boy, one of the world's first superheroes with nearly invincible strength and durability.
More recently, Padalecki has seemingly revealed that he'll portray the comic book speedster Mister Marathon, a former member of the Avengers-inspired Seven who has since retired from the public spotlight.
As viewers count down the hours until The Boys' next episode, fans are also looking ahead to the show's looming finale, wondering aloud how exactly Ackles and Padalecki's characters might figure into the highly anticipated series conclusion.
The 4 Most Independent Birth Months
To achieve your goals in life, taking initiative is essential. Experts support this view. Research from the National Library of Medicine states that "feeling independent in culturally appropriate ways" contributes to self-esteem and life satisfaction. When we encounter individuals who are unafraid to take charge, we often discover imperfect people who don't wait for perfect conditions to give themselves permission. Inspired by life, they make use of the tools at their disposal and are resourceful in obtaining new opportunities. Read on to explore which four birth months are most likely to be independent, according to expert astrologers.
Which Birth Months are the Most Independent?Check for your birth month.

Either an ambitious Capricorn or an innovative Aquarius, this grounded birth month seeks their highest aims. Once they set their sights on something, nothing can stop them from tunnel-visioning in. Whether they reach great success, career feats, or personal life goals, these individuals know that challenges are what keep life fun. While they can be tough on themselves at times, they channel their greatest self-criticism and frustration into determined actions that set them free from previous limitations. Their independence shines through as practical, pragmatic, and a promise to fulfill a meaningful legacy.
April — The Unstoppable OptimistMany people let life diminish their hope, often concluding that passion isn't always "useful" or "realistic." Not those born in April! This youthful birth month embodies a zest for life, regardless of the challenges they face. Whether they are adventurous Aries or down-to-earth Taurus, individuals born in April are known for their unwavering confidence. Although they're adoring, playful, and affectionate, they also know how to focus on their own needs when the going gets tough. Eve Plumb Answers the 10 Questions She’s Most Asked 50 Years After ‘The Brady Bunch’
Brady Bunch star Eve Plumb is sharing her life story in her memoir, Happiness Included, and that includes answers to the questions fans ask her the most. The actress, who played middle child Jan Brady on the ABCsitcom from 1969 to 1974, penned an introduction to her book that included cheeky answers to 10 questions she’s constantly asked. Plumb joked that she once considered putting the questions and answers on a t-shirt.
Some of the basic questions included, “Was it fun to be on The Brady Bunch?“ and “Do people really call you Jan?” The answers to the first two questions were yes, with Plumb noting she is called “Jan” on a daily basis.
Other fans ask her, “What happened to Tiger the dog?” Tiger was the short-lived Brady pet who disappeared from the show after a few episodes. Plumb’s quick reply? “Dogs don't live 53 years.”
Plumb also responded to a question about her character’s infamous curly black wig from the episode “Will the Real Jan Brady Please Stand Up?,” joking that “it was dyed red and repurposed for an Annie tour.”
The actress also confirmed she still talks to all of her Brady siblings— Barry Williams, Maureen McCormick, Christopher Knight, Mike Lookinland, and Susan Olsen—often via text— and that fans often come up to her saying the iconic “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia” line that her character made famous on the classic sitcom.
When asked, “Do you still make money from The Brady Bunch?” Plumb replied, “If I had a dime for every rerun episode, I'd pay off the national deficit. I don't.”
And when asked why she bowed out of the 1976 Brady Bunch Variety Hour, she deadpanned, “I thought the world needed Fake Jan.” (Plumb was replaced by Geri Reischl for the short-lived series).
Plumb also shared that if she could do her life over, she’d add a few more years in between “post menopause and pre osteoporosis.” The final question Plumb is often asked is whether she would let her own child get into show business. She positively responded that she had “a happy childhood with a lot of positive attention” and that she learned to respect professionals in all fields. She noted that 60 years later, she is fully enjoying a lifestyle curated by her parents’ “wise” decision to get her into acting.

Plumb is also asked about her favorite ‘Brady Bunch’ episodesPlumb has also been fielding questions in a press tour to promote her new memoir. Speaking with The Orange County Register, she shared that fans always ask her to name her favorite episodes of The Brady Bunch. Like many of her castmates, Plumb’s favorite episodes featured cast trips, including the famous Hawaii trio of episodes that kicked off Season 4 in September 1972.
“I always like the ones where we traveled,” Plumb told the outlet. “You know, the Hawaii episodes, getting to go places, getting to go to the Grand Canyon was great. Because for me, it's not necessarily the episode that I watch, it was the episode that I film. So for me, Grand Canyon was fun. For me, Hawaii was fun.”
Plumb has also shared that she only watched The Brady Bunch episodes once, when they originally aired in the 1970s.

Jorma Taccone Isn’t the Only ‘SNL’ Alum With an Awkward Kevin Spacey Story
Jorma Taccone isn’t the only Saturday Night Live alum with an awkward story involving actor and two-time SNL host Kevin Spacey.
The Lonely Island co-founder says he’s never publicly revealed which host “who I wasn’t super geeked on,” but now he’s naming him. Years earlier, former cast member Cheri Oteri also described a memorable—if uncomfortable—encounter with the Oscar winner.
Taccone, who joined SNL as a digital short creator in 2005 alongside Andy Samberg and Akiva Schaffer, helped create some of the show’s most iconic shorts, including “Lazy Sunday” and “Dick in a Box.” While reflecting on his time at the show on The Daily Beast’s Obsessed podcast, he recalled the one host who stood out for the wrong reasons.
“I’ve never said this before,” Taccone said, revealing the host was actor Kevin Spacey. Spacey hosted SNL in May 2006 and appeared in a Lonely Island digital short during that episode. Taccone didn’t go into further detail about the experience.
“I will say in general, I liked almost every host that came to SNL,” he added, noting Steve Martin as someone who will forever be on a pedestal, and Ben Stiller as “so fun” to work with. “Working with Ben was really great. I’ve never met a more hardworking dude in the business,” he said.
Spacey previously hosted the show in January 1997, when Oteri was a cast member. Speaking on Jeff Lewis Live years later, she recalled being excited to meet him after writing a sketch that ultimately didn’t make it to air.
“And then I saw him at the inauguration of President Clinton, and I was with my stepmom, and I went, ‘Oh, I’m gonna introduce you,'” she said. “Well, he blew me off! And I was just like, well! I was kinder to you, and you were in my house now!”

Tootsie Roll Makes Long-Awaited Comeback with New Berry Ones and Fruit Ones Candies
For generations of consumers, Tootsie Roll remains one of the most reliably delicious treats you could hope to indulge in your local supermarket's candy aisle.
Offering shoppers a sweet, nostalgic taste of the past, Tootsie Roll's candies have become classics in their own right, delighting shoppers across virtually every decade since their creation in 1907.
As great as their original products are, Tootsie Roll has recently unveiled plans to launch two new products that fans have fervently requested for years.
According to a recent announcement on the company's official Instagram page, Tootsie Roll is set to release two innovative new candies with their upcoming Fruit Ones and Berry Ones candy packs.
With the former, Tootsie Roll's Fruit Ones delivers the same crunchy Tootsie Roll lollipops, now filling with a gooey fruit-filled center with a consistency similar to an actual Tootsie Roll. The Berry Ones, meanwhile, features a healthy assortment of chewy berry-inspired Tootsie Roll candies, including strawberry, blueberry, blue raspberry and cherry berry.
As the company said of the new inventive products, "You asked, we listened," marking an exciting step forward for the beloved candy brand.
As one might expect, the two new candy packs have been met with an overwhelmingly positive response from longtime fans of Tootsie Roll, many of whom were quick to voice their excitement for the product across social media.
"Yesss we need these," one fan wrote on Instagram.
"One hundred and 18 years of not messing with perfection only to make perfection more perfecter," added another user.
"This should have been done a long time ago," observed a third.
The new treats are currently offered at limited Walmart locations. As of yet, it's not clear whether the candies might make their way to additional suppliers, or whether they'll remain exclusively at Walmart for the foreseeable future.
‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 Release Date Finally Announced — And the First Trailer Says a Lot
Ted Lasso famously once said, "It’s the lack of hope that comes and gets you. Believe." And it's a good thing TedHeads listened to that advice—because even though the story seemingly ended with Season 3, Ted Lasso is officially coming back for a fourth season!
Apple TV renewed the series for Season 4 in March 2025. When Ted Lasso first premiered in August 2020, it felt like a warm hug during a time of turmoil. Between the COVID-19 lockdown and a divisive political climate, Ted's radical kindness and perpetual optimism weren't just entertaining—they were essential.
After the Season 3 finale, we still had so many questions. Would Ted (Jason Sudeikis) stay in Kansas? Could the show go on without the mustache? Was the "Lasso Way" truly retired for good? In time, every question will be answered—because not only is the beloved coach returning to field, he's also bringing most of the gang with him.
"Ted Lasso has been nothing short of a juggernaut, inspiring a passionate fanbase all over the world, and delivering endless joy and laughter, all while spreading kindness, compassion and unwavering belief," said Matt Cherniss, Apple TV's Head of Programming. "Everyone at Apple is thrilled to be continuing our collaboration with Jason and the brilliant creative minds behind this show."

1967 James Bond Movie Ranked Worst Ever Was Released 59 Years Ago
James Bond movies are widely regarded as pillars of cinematic history, but beyond their immense pop culture influence, one entry has long been labeled the “worst ever.”
Fifty-nine years ago today, April 28, 1967, Casino Royale made its theatrical debut in the United States, offering a satirical take on the box office spy film.
Famously helmed by five directors, Val Guest, John Huston, Ken Hughes, Joseph McGrath and Robert Parrish and produced by Columbia Pictures, the movie also featured a star-studded ensemble cast including Woody Allen, David Niven and Peter Sellers.
The 1967 movie was loosely inspired by Ian Fleming’s novel Casino Royale, not the film Dr. No, a 1962 film about the British MI6 agent also known as 007, portrayed by Sean Connery.
The plot focuses on Sir James Bond, played by Niven, coming out of retirement and planning to return to combat the evil organization SMERSH.
Casino Royale had a whopping production budget of $6 million; however, due to the setbacks and internal conflicts, it doubled to $12 million, making it one of the most expensive films of its time.

Surprisingly, despite the chaotic production, the movie had a solid box office performance, grossing $41.7 million worldwide.
In addition, Casino Royale also received nominations from various award-giving bodies, including the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Film Award for Best British Costume as well as the Grammy Award for Best Original Score.
However, although it had significant commercial success, the film has long been regarded as one of the worst James Bond movies ever released.
The New York Times once dubbed the movie “tedious and disconnected,” while Variety said that the film “was frenzied and strained.”
Even one of the film’s directors delivered a blunt take, openly calling it “rubbish.”
“Casino Royale was a rubbish film,” Joseph McGrath mentioned in an interview, adding, “I mean it makes no sense at all. At the time, it was the most expensive film ever made. That was my first feature film.”
The critical consensus was reflected in a ranking released by Rotten Tomatoes, as Casino Royale placed last at No. 27 out of 27 Bond films.
Although it wasn’t part of the official franchise, it has often been labeled the worst-reviewed film associated with the iconic character.

15 Years Ago This Chart-Topping Pop Diva Had Twins
Grammy Award-winning pop diva Mariah Careywelcomed twins, Moroccan and Monroe, 15 years ago—on April 30, 2011. The iconic performer shares her son and daughter with her ex, Nick Cannon.
Carey and Cannon shocked fans when the couple married in 2008. While they initially met at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards, romance wasn’t immediately in the air.
After only weeks of dating, the pair tied the knot in a seaside ceremony at Carey’s Bahamian estate. The newlyweds spoke to People after their nuptials, explaining why they married so quickly. Cannon said, “In our minds, it was a love-at-first-sight thing. Since we’ve been together, we’ve been inseparable, and Carey noted, “I don’t think anyone realized what we already knew, that we were going to get married.”
During the 2008 interview, People also asked the couple about having children. While it was still three years before their twins would arrive, both Carey and Cannon were all in. Canon led with a definite “Absolutely,” and Mariah answered the question, “So have you thought about having kids?” with a straightforward “Yes.”

What Kacey Musgraves Just Called 93-Year-Old Willie Nelson Has Country Fans Smiling
Kacey Musgraves just gave Willie Nelson the absolute perfect moniker, and country fans couldn't agree more.
In a new interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, the Grammy-winning star opened up about working with Nelson on "Uncertain, TX" from her upcoming album "Middle of Nowhere. "Her description of the 93-year-old legend? "Everyone's favorite gangster great-grandpa."
"Anytime I can have everyone's favorite gangster great-grandpa on anything. I mean, I love him so much. He's the patriarch of truth, country music," Musgraves, 37, explained.
The endearing nickname perfectly captures what makes Nelson so beloved to all — he's warm, slightly rebellious, wise beyond measure, and someone literally everyone loves. As Musgraves mentioned at a previous Grammy event honoring Nelson, "Underdogs, outliers, republicans, rappers, presidents — everyone loves Willie."
This marks the third time the duo has collaborated, following "Are You Sure" from her "Pageant Material" album and "A Willie Nice Christmas" from "A Very Kacey Christmas.”

Working with Nelson comes with one notable requirement: efficiency. "He walks in, does the take, and literally, that's it. So it better work. He's like, 'I'm in my 90s... I'm giving you 30 seconds, and then I'm out,'" Musgraves shared, laughing.
Her response to that? "I f---ing get it. He's earned that. He's a true American legend; the man transcends space and time. He's absolutely amazing.”
Nelson's one-take approach isn't about being difficult — it's about professionalism honed over six decades and more than 200 albums. At 93, he knows exactly what he wants and delivers it perfectly the first time.
Willie Nelson's Ability to Unite Everyone Makes Him Country Music's Most Beloved LegendMusgraves also talked about her experience "in a recreational smoking situation with Willie Nelson," noting that you have to "be really careful" because "you're just like, I don't know how to form sentences anymore. My motor skills are completely gone."

But beyond the legendary stories and efficient studio sessions, what makes Nelson truly such a special human being is a point that Musgraves emphasized: "He brings so many different kinds of people together, which is one thing I really love about him."
At 93, Willie Nelson continues touring consistently and collaborating with artists across multiple genres and generations. His ability to unite people — from underdogs to presidents, rappers to country purists — remains unmatched in American music. He truly is one of a kind. They broke the mode when they made Willie.

As Musgraves joked about once suggesting Nelson run for president, his response was perfect: "Because I'd win."
Of course he would. Because when you're everyone's favorite gangster great-grandpa, that's just what happens.
"Middle of Nowhere" releases May 1 and features additional collaborations with Gregory Alan Isakov, Billy Strings and Miranda Lambert.

D’Angelo, 74, who originated the role of Ellen Griswold alongside Chevy Chase‘s Clark W. Griswold in the first National Lampoon’s Vacation film in 1983, played the iconic role of Ellen in several follow-ups, including 1989’s beloved holiday version, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Last weekend, the duo got back together to celebrate the actor’s big 86th birthday, Page Six reported. Now that’s keeping the friendship alive!

What Has D’Angelo Said About Having Twins at 49 With Pacino? When asked about raising kids in Hollywood, D’Angelo said that lifestyle wasn’t for her.
“I did not raise my kids in that culture,” D’Angelo told PEOPLE. “If I would have been more focused, maybe I would have had a bigger career, but I was focused on my kids, to tell you the truth.”
D’Angelo previously spoke about giving birth at 49, a rarity in any culture.
“I had kids really late — I gave birth to twins six weeks after I turned 49,” she told Fox News Digital. “It was really important to me to place them at the center of my world. So, I wouldn’t do any films that would take me out of town for any amount of time. I did television, I did some indie films and things like that, but my focus was really to always be emotionally and physically available to my kids.”
D’Angelo went on to say that she was inspired as a parent by the stable childhood her parents gave her while growing up in Ohio.
“There’s this thing that happens when you have kids,” D’Angelo shared. “All of a sudden, you go, ‘Oh, wait a minute, my parents.’ You look at how you were raised. Maybe some of the things that you thought were a drag when you were a kid turn out to be exactly what you want to pass on. And my value system has never included a lot of hype or a lot of focus on fame.”
Ultimately, D’Angelo chose to put her children before her acting career.
“And I’ve got to make a confession: I’m not a careerist,” she told the publication. “I have never been. Everything I’ve done is because I love a script or a character. But as far as pursuing a career, I wasn’t somebody who had a dream like, ‘One day I’m going to grow up and become an actress.’ That’s not me. I never thought, ‘If I do this role, maybe I’ll get this other role.’ I’ve always just been motivated by a profound need to express myself.”

Chobani’s Unexpected New Creamer Stirs a Commotion
Chobani has a new coffee creamer heading out and fans are beyond curious about the classic dessert-inspired flavor.
The cult-favorite yogurt and creamer brand is always looking to impress consumers, offering a wide assortment of flavors that tap into hot trends and reimagine nostalgic favorites. The company also recently debuted a new "Flavor Drop" series that it said would bring many "unique" flavors to the creamer aisle for an extremely limited time—we're not talking a seasonal, limited-edition drop, but one that's set to be around for only a few weeks at a time.
Its first Flavor Drop—Raspberry Rose—hit the market in mid-January and disappeared shortly after Valentine's Day. Now, Parade has learned that its second Flavor Drop creamer is due out in a few weeks, just in time to kick off summer, and fans seem rather impatient to just get it in their hands already.
Just as they rallied around Raspberry Rose, Chobani's upcoming American Blueberry coffee creamer flavor is getting a similarly warm welcome.
Chobani Fans Have a Lot to Say About New Blueberry CreamerChobani hasn't yet debuted the flavor, but 24-fluid-ounce cartons have already hit the Target app, which led to the flavor going viral earlier this week. Presumably, it was inspired by the classic combo of topping blueberry pie with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and we expect it to taste something like a mixture of blueberry and sweet cream.
"OMG I NEED," one excited Instagram user wrote. "I had a blueberry white chocolate mocha before and it was soo good."

"Ooh I need this," a second echoed. "Right now I make homemade blueberry syrup for my coffees. This sounds amazing."
"Ooooo interesting 🤔," a third shared. "I like blueberry but not sure how it would taste with cream lol."
Others who appeared more hesitant called it "Intriguing" and said it "sounds interesting."
View this post on Instagram Where Will Chobani's New Limited-Edition Creamer Flavor be Available? So far, Chobani's American Blueberry Flavor Drop Creamer has been spotted in the Target app for $5.99 (prices may vary), with an estimated rollout date of June 14. As of now, it's unclear whether the flavor is limited to Target stores or will be available at other Chobani retailers.
