Beyond the Gates fans, it is time to get ready to celebrate as CBS’s newest daytime drama is set to continue celebrating African American heritage by showcasing the homecoming of its HBCU!

The NAACP and Procter & Gamble co-produced series will be taking viewers on a fun adventure beginning Friday, October 2 and continuing Monday, October 5, 2026, as the residents of Fairmount Crest gather together at the Dupree family home for what is being described as a “spirited tailgate” ahead of Banneker’s Homecoming.

In a sneak preview photo, viewers get their first glimpse of the cast decked out in the university’s signature crimson and gold.

Viewers will see that five generations of the Dupree family have attended Banneker; this Homecoming is more than just a celebration; rather, it’s a cherished family legacy.

For those in Fairmount Crest, this event will offer an exciting opportunity to honor their shared history, celebrate their HBCU pride, and bring the community together in a way no event or tradition before has.

The event will culminate with a spirited bus ride to the game, where the entire group will sing the Banneker University Fight Song, “Fight on.”

Viewers were given their first look at the bus ride, with an exciting photo of the cast.

CBS also released a sneak preview of Friday’s installment, as Vernon (Clifton Davis) and his wife Anita (Tamara Tunie) prepare for their family to come over and begin celebrating Homecoming ahead of their arrival.

On-screen, The Duprees’ great grandson Tyrell Richardson (Jaden Lucas Miller) recently began attending Banneker University, keeping the family’s legacy intact.

In preparation for the upcoming event, Beyond the Gates released a fun flyer promoting the homecoming event.

The Banneker University homecoming event airs October 2, 2026 and continues on October 5, 2026, airing on CBS.

Paul McCartney felt a pain he had never experienced before after the Beatles broke up.

The 84-year-old musician and songwriter is opening up about the legendary rock group’s end. The band was made up of the “Fab Four”: McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison until they broke up in 1970.

McCartney joined Judd Apatow after a screening of his new documentary, Man on the Run, which follows the singer as he begins his post-Beatles era.

“It was, what do you do after the Beatles?” he said, according to Variety. “You know, the Beatles break up, that’s been your only job you’ve ever had, and then you don’t have it anymore. It’s like you got sacked.”

McCartney felt lost and had a “mental breakdown.” He shared, “I mean, I did start drinking. I was up in Scotland on my own, (with a) new little family. No one was gonna tell me off for drinking too much … and it was a lot of fun ‘til it wasn’t.”

The “Hey Jude” singer got back on track because of his love for his family. He described his late wife, Linda McCartney, as a “very smart woman” who “let” him grieve the band the way he needed to.

“I think just being on my own was very scary, because I’d always had the union of the group,” he explained.

McCartney went on to form the band Wings with his wife. The group is responsible for hits like “Band on the Run” and “My Love.” Their 1971 album Ram was heavily criticized.

“I thought we’d got something special, and they didn’t, the critics. But critics criticize, and they criticized me,” McCartney said. “And the worst bit is I bought into it. I listened to the critics and had sort of gone, ‘Mm, maybe they’re right. I don’t know.’ And it went for years that I thought it wasn’t a very good album.”

Sophia Bush revealed a detail for the first time in her new memoir, And I Will Tell You Mine: Notes from a Life in Progress. She and her soccer player partner, Ashlyn Harris, are officially married. The two tied the knot in the summer of 2025 in a private ceremony.

The former One Tree Hill star has been with Harris for three years. They decided to take all the pressure off the big day, putting the focus on family, which included Harris’ two children, Sloane and Ocean. 

To mark the release of her memoir, Bush went on to share the reason for them keeping their marriage a secret in an interview with Vogue. It was a chance to avoid the pressure, as she shared, “It’s such a privilege to be able to perform as an athlete or an actor, but it also comes with certain costs.”

One of those costs is that every aspect of your personal life is now public knowledge. People are watching for when births happen, when marriages and breakups take place, and much more. There are expectations set for the way a big day should take place, and that trickles down to the younger members of the family who never asked for it.

Harris, who is a former professional soccer player, explained that the entire day was a chance to be a family. It meant that the children could run around and be happy, rather than feel like they had to put on an appearance for strangers. She went on to express, “It was so precious, and zero pressure. I will never forget it, and I think wedding days sometimes aren’t like that.”

Once the big day was over, the couple shared the news with the rest of their friends. It was then they had to figure out how to reveal it to the world, so that they didn’t have to keep anything else a secret.

The memoir is extremely personal for Bush, and something that she has put off for almost a decade. Her personal story is filled with heartbreak, starting with her public relationship with, and then divorce from fellow One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray, and then her 13-month marriage to Grant Hughes.

Bush was initially linked to Harris in October 2023, before her divorce from Hughes was finalized. However, it was in 2024 that the two confirmed their relationship, with the two of them confirming that they wanted to make sure they were visible. It didn’t matter what the public thought, but they knew that “visibility matters” when it comes to younger people who may feel like they are living in a black hole or void without support. They need to see others like them in the public eye, and that’s what Bush and Harris want to be for them.

And I Will Tell You Mine: Notes from a Life in Progress will be released on Oct. 27, and this is just a snapshot of the story Bush is sharing with fans.

“Our guests told us they wanted protein, so we found a way to make it work the 7 Brew way with more choices, more flavors and no limits to what kind of drink it can go in,” said Nick Chavez, chief marketing officer at 7 Brew in the release. “Coffee in the morning? Add protein. Energy in the afternoon? Add protein. Smoothie after a workout? Go for it. Whatever the 7 Brew order is, our guests can add protein.”

But protein isn’t the only thing coming to 7 Brew on October 1—the brand has also announced a line-up of Halloween-inspired beverages. Here’s what’s on 7 Brew’s Halloween, limited-time menu:

• Pumpkin Blondie: A cozy blend of the signature blondie with warm pumpkin pie flavors
• Drizzled Apple 7 Fizz Soda: Crisp green apple topped with a rich caramel drizzle

Other 7 Brew promotions coming in October include Jackpot Day on Oct. 7, where guests who purchase any two medium or large drinks will receive a Halloween sticker sheet, Fill-A-Tray day on Oct. 31, where your Halloween crew can get four medium drinks for $17, and a surprise drink drop the brand describes as “sure to make Frankenstein rise from his slumber.”

A recall notice has been published by the United States Food and Drug Administration for 3,240 cases of 7Up soda due to a labeling error. According to the notice published by the governmental agency, the initial recall was issued on August 20 before it was labeled a Class II recall on September 29.

A Class II recall is defined as one in which there is a “lower chance of causing major injuries or death,” but the “possibility of serious enough adverse events,” which could have irreversible consequences, is still present. 

The affected cases of 7Up, which total 77,760 cans of soda, are mislabeled as 7Up Tropical on the outside, but hold cans that are labeled as 7Up Tropical Zero Sugar. However, the beverage inside the cans is actually full-sugar soda. As such, the recall was issued because the “product may contain undeclared sugar,” states the FDA notice.

The recalled sodas were distributed in Utah, and can be identified by the lot or batch code UT06176. They also have a best-by date of March 17, 2027. Though the recall notice does not explicitly state that the beverages are unsafe to drink, consumers who have been advised by medical professionals to reduce or eliminate their sugar intake should be cautious. 

This recall comes on the heels of a wave of high-impact food recalls that shook the country this summer. In addition to the highly publicized Cyclospora outbreak linked to lettuce, there have also been recent recalls for a variety of products, from beef and pork to a popular frozen dessert sold at major national retailers including Walmart, Target, and Kroger.

Ezra Sosa had a three-word reaction to the Dancing with the Stars Season 35 Week 3 elimination.

Shortly after it was announced that singer Taylor Hanson and pro dancer Britt Stewart were the eliminated couple for the Yacht Rock theme night, Sosa, 25, commented on a TikTok video of the moment, writing, “I’m so pissed.”

The TikTok video showed Stewart near tears after saying ”Oh my God” when her and Hanson’s names were announced as the eliminated couple by host Alfonso Ribeiro. She then turned to Hanson and told him, “I’m so sorry.”

The caption to the post read, “Oh Britt was definitely holding back what she really wanted to say.”

Fans were stunned by the DWTS elimination, especially given that Hanson, 43, and Stewart, 36, were far from the lowest scoring couple on the live show. The two earned 18 out of 30 points for their foxtrot to the Doobie Brothers’ song “What a Fool Believes,” tying with two other couples who had that score, and much higher than final place finishers Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson, who only scored 15 points from the judges.

Stewart was all class while giving her final thoughts at the end of the show, telling Hanson, “Taylor, I am so grateful that I have you in my life. Thank you so much for everything. Thank you.”

Stewart, who joined Dancing with the Stars as the first Black female pro dancer in 2020, has never made it to the finals in the ABC celebrity ballroom competition. Her highest-charting season was fifth place in Season 31 when she was partnered with Daniel Durant, whom she would go on to marry in 2025.

Following her latest—and by far most shocking—elimination, fans showered Stewart with love and support on social media.

Sosa also posted a poignant message on his Instagram story, captioning a photo of the dancer with Hanson.

“This one really hurts,” Sosa wrote. “Britt, I am so proud of you and honestly just gut-wrenched for you.  I hope you know how deeply loved you are and how much your light, heart, and talent mean to this show and to all of us who get to know and love you. You give so much of yourself every single season, and I just hope you know how special you are. You are a freaking superstar, always have been and always will be. I love you so much.”

Sosa is partnered with actress Julia Stiles for Dancing With the Stars Season 35.

While Love Island USA Season 6 star JaNa Craig may not be headed back to the world of reality TV dating as a contestant, Craig is set to make her debut as a host of one, only with a scripted twist.

Craig is set to be the host on the upcoming vertical The Compatibility Experience by HooraMedia, a production company led by Insecure’s Issa Rae.

In addition to Craig, soap opera fans will notice that the leading couple, Camila and Kelvin, are portrayed by former General Hospital star Tajh Bellow and former The Young and the Restless star Loren Lott.

Previously, Bellow and Lott participated in a social media trend to promote the vertical, as the two “prepared for their new Hoorae microseries about surviving a dating show.”

This will be the second time Craig and Bellow have worked together in a scripted series, as the two previously participated in the Credit One web series You’re The Credit One For Me.

Craig remains booked and busy following her exit from Love Island USA, as the fan favorite will return to the Peacock fold, having been confirmed for the upcoming season of The Traitors.

What are verticals?

Vertical dramas are the newest trend taking over the internet. They are content filmed with the understanding that they will be consumed on mobile devices; thus, their aspect ratio is designed with this in mind.

“Episodes” are also crafted to be fast-paced and to last only a few minutes, allowing viewers to avoid making large time commitments to watch their favorite series.

Depending on the platform, there is typically a free ad-supported option to watch the dramas unfold, or a paid ad-free option.

The Compatibility Experiment premieres October 14, exclusively on TikTok and PineDrama.

There is a loneliness that comes with separation and divorce — a grief that is hard to explain. It’s something that Sophie, Standing There by Meg Mason covers, and it’s no wonder it’s the October 2026 pick of the month for Reese Witherspoon’s book club.

If there is anyone who understands that type of grief, it’s Witherspoon, who went through a rather public divorce from Ryan Phillippe. When sharing the novel as her book club’s pick, she noted that Sophie, Standing There is “a funny and tender story about loneliness, connection, and finding your way back to yourself.”

The story follows Sophie Pattison, a woman who adores books. She also loves her husband, and believes that he adores her, has a best friend for life, and a brother she is close to. On top of that, she has her dream job, but then her life comes crashing down around her.

As we meet her, we learn that her husband has left her. He didn’t even give her the courtesy of a discussion. He wanted her out of the house; the end of everything she once held dear was gone. And then we learn more, as that grief affects everything around her. All her relationships and her dream job feel a million miles away, and the only hope is rediscovering an author she read in her 20s.

Relationships are complex. They take work to nurture, but they should also be fun and feel effortless. It’s a hard balance to find, and Mason captures the heartache and dark humor of all the complexity within life. It’s a beautiful piece of literary fiction, focusing on the power of human connection. What happens when people really see us for who we are?

Sophie, Standing There was originally published in August 2026. While it’s possibly not the scary story that many people expected for an October release, there is a horror element within it. After all, grief brings its own stories of fear and uncertainty, and it’s something so innately human that we can all appreciate it.

At first, the novel of a sad woman doesn’t sound appealing. Mason has a way of bringing humor to the story. She can get inside the heads of each of her characters in a way so many other authors fail to do, and you’ll start to wonder if Sophie is you at times.

Nicolas Cage is finding himself in some unexpectedly hot water with fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, thanks in large part to some disparaging remarks the actor made for the larger MCU.

During a recent appearance at Fan Expo Dallas, Cage shared his thoughts on the ongoing interest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, likening it to a “well-funded” and “glorified” version of World Wrestling Entertainment.

“I do say this with love,” Cage started by saying. “When I see these 50-plus, otherwise intelligent, remarkably gifted thespians putting on these ridiculous outfits and getting ready for the fight — and let’s face it, it’s cutting all to the fight — it’s hard for me not to be reminded that the MCU is becoming a well-funded and glorified WWE.”

While Cage prefaced his comments with appropriate love and support, many fans quickly shot back at the actor for his criticisms, with many citing the fact that Cage previously participated in several superhero vehicles, including 2007’s Ghost Rider and, more recently, Amazon Prime Video’s Spider-Noir.

One wrestling-centric social media account included several comments slamming Cage for his criticism.

“Nicolas Cage wasn’t complaining and criticizing when he was getting massive amounts of money for playing Ghost Rider and Spider-Man Noir,” one account said. “So he can keep his mouth shut.”

“Not complaining when he was getting them checks for Spider-Man Noir… and Ghost Rider… oh and Superman (still counts),” another user wrote, referencing Cage’s participation in Tim Burton’s canceled Superman reboot.

Many other fans shared similarly hostile views of the statement on Complex‘s Instagram post reporting on the actor’s comments.

“I’m not sure someone with his filmography should be throwing shade,” one user wrote.

“I mean. When was the last time he was relevant?” another account shared.

“I KNOW HE’S NOT TALKING,” a third user wrote, sharing a photo of Cage’s cameo appearance as Superman in 2023’s The Flash.

Catherine Deneuve is stepping out for a rare red carpet appearance 62 years after she broke out in The Umbrellas of Cherbourg.

Deneuve, 82, struck cinematic gold in the role of Geneviève Emery in Umbrellas, a musical film classic. The French film icon also made tremendous waves with her steamy role in Luis Buñuel’s 1967 psychological erotic drama, Belle de Jour. But even though those star turns were decades ago, the blonde goddess is making it clear that her style and poise go on forever. She hit the Saint Laurent fashion show as part of Paris Fashion Week at Fontaine du Trocadéro in a black latex trench coat that highlighted her famous blonde locks. Capping off the look with black pumps and pink lipstick, the beauty managed to steal plenty of attention away from the runway.

Deneuve Recovered from a 2019 Stroke

While Deneuve may look happy and healthy in the present day, she’s faced significant health struggles in recent years. She was hospitalized after suffering a stroke in 2019, her family confirmed to Agence France-Presse. Luckily, they shared that she didn’t lose any motor function, and called it a “very limited stroke which is reversible.” She’s thriving once again!

What’s Catherine Deneuve Up to These Days?

Deneuve hasn’t slowed down her legendary film career one bit in her eighties. Earlier this month, she opened up in an interview about tackling the role of “a punk fairy godmother” in Léa Domenach’s Peau d’Homme. Set in the 15th century, the film, which translates to A Man’s Skin, follows Blanche, a young woman who is given a magical “man’s skin” that allows her to discover freedoms, power, and sexuality largely denied to her as a woman, Variety wrote.

“A punk fairy godmother — first of all, that idea alone would have been enough,” Deneuve shared. “I thought the script, the characters, the situations — it was like a musical, and I really liked that. It’s very original and it’s fun.”

We’ve watched underdogs like Taylor Brown fight from being a Week 1 nominee to losing her allies and winning her way into the endgame. And we’ve seen Drew Campbell be the ultimate middleman, contending with relationships on all sides of the house, and some clutch competition wins, to earn a place in the finale.

In anticipation of the finale of Big Brother 28, airing Thursday, Oct. 1 on CBS, Julie Chen Moonves talks with Parade about what we can anticipate from the 90-minute episode, whether she wants to see more returning players against new houseguests, and the people from this season she wants to see come back for a second chance.

In the spirit of time travel, I want to go back to an interview we did at the beginning of the season. When I asked you about your thoughts on the icons, you said, “Rick doesn’t get it. Devens does not get it.” Now he’s sitting in the Final Three, and in a recent interview, you said you couldn’t see any flaws in his game. Talk to me about how your opinions towards him and Dee changed over the season.
Expect the unexpected! That doesn’t just apply to the houseguest. It applies to me and everyone who works on the show. Because when we have our weekly meetings I always ask, you know, for a quick download, and I’m like, “What?!” And then everyone else is like, “I know, right?!” So anyhow, God has taught me a lesson in humility, and to watch my words, and not judge. Thou shalt not judge, because I was just I was judging Rick Devens.

And I came into it with mixed emotions before I met him. I was kind of rooting for him out of an affinity bias, having been a former morning news anchor myself. Then he goes in the house, and I was like, “No, I’m not rooting for him. He doesn’t get it. He’s blabbing.” That moment in the storage room with Dee, where she’s like, “What did you do?!” And I was like, “Oh, he’s playing too hard. He doesn’t get this game.” And I didn’t like on the first live show when he went into the Diary Room with a suit and tie and a Survivor buff. My ego could not take it! I am loyal to the soil, and that soil is a plywood house. It’s not soil on a fricking island that you got voted off of twice, buddy!

But then I started watching him play and win and win over people because he’s a nice guy that you can’t help but like. And I was like, “Gosh darn it! I like Rick Devens. Didn’t want to, but I do.” So I’m okay if he wins. I’m just breathing it out. My ego is checked now on the floor. And then Dee, I kind of liked her throughout because the affinity bias is there. Female, I like that she has an accent. Half my family has accents; my parents are immigrants. So I was like, “Alright, I’m very comfortable to be happy with a woman to claim that title.” Like, “First time I played Survivor, I won. First time I played Big Brother, I won.” If she won, I would call her and say, “Girl, let’s do Amazing Race together. I will help you win it!” [Laughs.]

Of the many unpredictable moments that happened this season, which is your favorite?
I did love the moment of Angela in the egg costume. Angela and Jason just going at it, “messy, messy.” Angela didn’t care that she was in a detective egg costume. She was just being Angela, raw, genuine emotions. It was so good that it was like the Sunday night cliffhanger. I mean, who’s turning away Wednesday? Not me! I’m gonna be right there, and I’m going to try and get the footage ahead of time! I’m going to make a phone call right now, and I’m going to ask for a play-by-play.

That, to me, was an iconic moment because you also saw Jason just go head-to-head with this icon and keep it under his hat that he too is an icon. He played RuPaul’s Drag Race twice, and he didn’t unleash that and try and use that advantage for his game. That stands out as an iconic moment because, at the end of the day, they apologized and hugged. And that gets the crux of what I believe.

At the end of the day, you can fight, you can cheat, you can lie, you can stab in the back. But ultimately, it’s a game, and you must love one another. Because we’re all flawed, we all have egos. We all have sin in us. We’re like, “I know this isn’t right, but I’m gonna stab that person in the back, even though I told them they were my ride or die.”

Well, we talk about icons. It should be noted that, between Rachel last year and Angela this year, there seems to be a recent formula of bringing in previous houseguests against a group of new players. Is that something you want to see moving forward?
If I had to pick an answer, gun to my head, the answer is no. I like a fresh group of people for me to fall in love with, for me to judge, for me to root for, root against. I love the newbie aspect. I even have a little bit of a problem with people who are like, “I watch every season” and they get to be like an expert. They come in like, “Oh, this is Day 52. This is when they’re going to make us do the wall or whatever.” I’m like, “Ah, don’t be such an expert!”

But then on the other side, I saw the wisdom behind it. Because let’s face it, our ratings in large part, why we were up so much is because Dee and Devens brought it. They brought us new eyeballs. So I get that we’re running a business here, and if it’s good for ratings, then we have to do it. But I’m a purist. And I’d rather meet 16, 17, whatever the number is next season, brand new people. And then you have past people come in to host shows, to host competitions. So you still get that flavor, but you don’t get what I feel is a little bit of an unfair advantage of housemates being starstruck. They’re like, “Oh, it’s Angela!” It’s like when Rachel Reilly played last year. They were like, “It’s Rachel Reilly!” And to be honest, her game wasn’t as good. She got by because people were afraid of her because they knew what she was like in her seasons, and they were afraid of her.

Let’s talk about some of the new faces this season. If you had to pick three Big Brother 28 houseguests to return, who would they be and why?
Yash. His Diary Room sessions are the gift that you keep on giving. Hysterical. And he’s a good competitor, so it’s not an unfair advantage. I’d bring back Yash. I wouldn’t want to bring back Angela again because then she’s gonna be so seasoned, like so good at it. Jason. And then Kamu, I’m on the fence about. Because I love the guy, and he plays a very honest game. So everyone would know his strategy. He was honest, but I kind of like the ones who you don’t know if you can trust them. That’s what keeps people on their toes: viewers and houseguests. So maybe I might swap out Kamu for Haley.

[Laughs.] She’ll get a few more rough weeks in the house!
She knows what she’s in for! Girl, you said yes! You knew what it was going to be like.

Finally, what can you tease about tomorrow night’s 90-minute finale?
Update on what’s happening with Lyric and Rome. They’re gonna announce something. It may not be what you think. Obviously, America’s Favorite Houseguest. That’s big news. Don’t know if we put it out there yet, but originally we were going to have Dan Gheesling host the jury roundtable debating the merits of the Final Three. It isn’t him. It’s someone that has never hosted before, but has played the game.

Sylvester Stallone’s new memoir offers a look at his life before fame, including a memorable encounter with Francis Ford Coppola while the future Hollywood star was still working an ordinary day job.

Before becoming the boxing champ in Rocky or one of the biggest action stars, Stallone had a job most teenagers had in the 70s. He worked at a movie theater making $34 a week, and remembers Coppola coming to check on the audience response to his latest film screening for The Rain People. Stallone recalls seeing the future Godfather director in tears.

“I remember we showed an indie film called The Rain People by a young director named Francis Ford Coppola,” he writes in The Steps: A Memoir. “One night he came in to check on the crowd. ‘How’s the film doing?’ he asked. ‘Okay,’ I answered. ‘Okay? Mind if I look inside?’ ‘Sure.’

Stallone continued by saying, “I didn’t have the heart to tell him that there were maybe eight people in the theater. It was so empty you could take a nap on the floor, and no one would notice. Coppola came out a few seconds later, emotionally distraught. He was tearing up as he rushed past me out the door.”

For a young Stallone whose ambition was to become an actor, the moment left an impression on him. He wrote in his memoir that seeing the trajectory of Coppola’s career from that moment on was “interesting.”

The Rain People was a road drama film that was written and directed by Coppola when he was 30 years old. Prior to the film, he had directed only a handful of films, such as Dementia 13, You’re a Big Boy Now, and Finian’s Rainbow. The 1969 musical fantasy, Finian’s Rainbow, was a success, having won nominations at the Golden Globes and the Oscars.

His 1969 film starred Shirley Knight, James Caan, and Robert Duvall and received generally positive reviews. Critics, on the other hand, were divided on whether or not the film was considered a success and commented, “This odd odyssey was not a hit.” Seeing Coppola have an emotional reaction to the lack of screening success, Stallone wondered if it was what led to his biggest hit of all.

“Here was a man who was completely devastated by the rejection of The Rain People, one of his earliest films, but two years later he made The Godfather. A masterpiece. I still wonder if it was the lessons he learned from The Rain People that helped him make such a great film,” said the actor.

The Godfather was released in 1972 and is regarded as one of the greatest films in American cinema. It dominated the Oscars, winning Best Picture, Best Actor for Marlon Brando, and Best Adapted Screenplay for Coppola and Mario Puzo, the author of the book the movie’s based on.

“Digger is an ambitious film sure to polarize audiences.”

Well, the critics have certainly spoken. And with a 53% Rotten Tomatoes score, it’s clear Tom Cruise‘s new movie has polarized the scholars.

Fortunately for Warner Bros., reviews dropped early enough this week for the studio behind Digger to whip up a sort of last-minute commercial to address what’s been critiqued about the forthcoming “comedy of catastrophic proportions,” as director Alejandro G. Iñárritu once dubbed it.

The trailers previously released have revealed Digger to be a foul-mouthed flick, and the new ad that just surfaced on Warner Bros.’ X account cleverly weaves in one of Cruise’s zingers while in character as the titular “Digger.”

As title cards flash on-screen to reveal the mixed-bag of adjective used by critics to describe the movie, the ad then cuts to Cruise’s character saying sharply, “F–k those people.” Check it out below.

X users have already flooded the post’s comments section, with a number of people seeming impressed or enticed by the spot. “Damn, this is great marketing,” wrote one user, while another person commented, ” You know what now I wanna see it 😭😭.”

The $125 million production that is Digger stars a nearly unrecognizable Cruise, 64, playing an oblivious oil tycoon whose drilling in Greenland dislodges an ice shelf from a glacier that’s going to cause a global disaster, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Here’s the politically charged film’s logline, per Rotten Tomatoes: “The most powerful man in the world embarks on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity’s savior before the disaster he’s unleashed destroys everything.”

Allen Iverson Became a Basketball Legend

It’s a sentiment shared by many online, and there’s something especially meaningful about seeing it happen to Iverson.

Iverson became one of the most influential basketball players of his generation. He grew up in Hampton, Virginia, starred at Georgetown before being selected No. 1 overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1996 NBA Draft.

Nicknamed “The Answer,” Iverson won Rookie of the Year in 1997, became an 11-time All-Star and won the 2001 NBA MVP after leading the 76ers to the NBA Finals.

But Iverson’s influence extends far beyond the basketball court. He became one of the NBA’s most recognizable cultural figures, influencing everything from fashion to music while helping shape the way athletes expressed themselves both on and off the court.

There are few athletes as culturally impactful as Iverson. Yet even with all of that success, he was still the kid from Virginia who looked up to an NFL star and dreamed of meeting him someday.

Tony Dorsett Was a Hero to a Generation

Dorsett was a standout at the University of Pittsburgh, where he won the 1976 Heisman Trophy before being selected No. 2 overall by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1977 NFL Draft.

He made an immediate impact, rushing for more than 1,000 yards as a rookie and helping the Cowboys win Super Bowl XII.

Dorsett spent 11 seasons in Dallas before finishing his NFL career with the Denver Broncos. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1994.

But to Iverson, Dorsett was more than his statistics or accomplishments. He was a hero to a generation of kids who watched him play and dreamed about what they might accomplish themselves.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have condemned the “extraordinarily reckless” paparazzi who they have blamed for a security scare at their children’s school.

Two young men were seen walking around Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s school carrying backpacks and looking into the grounds before returning to a white van.

They were investigated by police and identified as two photographers working for a European press agency.

A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex described the incident as an “unacceptable intrusion.”

They said, “The decision by photographers to conduct themselves in this way around a school is extraordinarily reckless.

“There is a world of difference between legitimate media activity and photographers walking the perimeter of a school, stopping to look into the grounds and monitoring children as they go about their day.”

They went on, “It is concerning enough that certain European paparazzi appear unwilling to respect the privacy of children at school, but to behave in this manner in these particular circumstances, and so soon after the incident at RAF Fairford, demonstrates an extraordinary lack of judgement.”

The Sussexes’ spokesperson’s comments reference the events of early Sunday morning, the day before the photographers were seen at the school, when five men were arrested near an RAF base on explosive and terrorism offences.

The alarm was raised when three suspicious vehicles traveling towards the US military-operated base were reported to police.

The three men have since been released on bail.

It is understood that children from families who are stationed at a nearby US military base are also students at Archie and Lilibet’s school, People reports.

This is the second school that Archie (7) and Lilibet (5) have been enrolled in since Harry and Meghan made the decision to move their family back to the UK. They withdrew their children from their first school after just two days, citing security concerns.

Heavy daily traffic between the Sussexes’ home and the school were reported to have made it difficult for the Sussex vehicles on the school run to remain in convoy.

We don’t know where exactly Harry and Meghan are living but it is rumored to be the Cotswolds region.

Last week Meghan surfaced in public for the first time since moving back to the UK, when she was photographed hanging out with celebrity power couple Ellen de Generes and Portia de Rossi at the Three Horseshoes pub in Oxfordshire.

Ellen and Portia have been living in Oxfordshire in the Cotswolds since last year.

The Amazing Race 39 begins its two-night premiere event tonight. And there’s already so much to anticipate. We know the route, as this season will go to a whopping nine countries and five continents, including an emotional homecoming for host and New Zealand native Phil Keoghan. The cast contains a number of accolades, from World Cup winner Ali Krieger to her pro teammate Joanna Lohman to winter Olympian Riley Tejcek. Indeed, looking at the initial group, this season seems to be for the girls, with nearly half the cast being all-women teams. And Keoghan cites that the most competitive personalities this season are all women, specifically naming Ali, Joanna, Riley, Ann-Marie Tejcek, Erin Taylor, and Michelle Patterson. Considering we haven’t seen a female/female team win the show in 14 seasons, could this be the time? Or would another pair, bound by blood or not, cross the finish line in first place?

Below, Phil Keoghan gives his thoughts on this season’s 13 teams, including “the most competitive person we’ve had on the race in — I can’t think of how long.” The Amazing Race 39 premieres with a 90-minute episode on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

One of the things I will tell you about this season is we have got some super strong women, and I’m really excited about that. In the 25 years that we’ve been on, there’s been massive changes in how we have viewed women’s sports and women professional athletes. People like Serena Williams, Venus Williams. Even Andy Murray speaking out and saying, “Hey, it’s only fair that the women get paid the same.” And even with the Rugby World Cup, people are like, “Who’s going to come to a Rugby World Cup and see women competing?” And then the stadium in Auckland, New Zealand, got absolutely packed. It was sold out. So there have been major changes in how we perceive and our interest in women competing.

So I’m really pleased to say that people like Ali and Joanna, they’re a part of that; they’ve been a part of that movement. And they’re winners; they’re competitors. They’re super telegenic; I had a lot of fun with them. And they just bring that professional competitive spirit into the race. They’re feisty, and they’re contenders. They show people what they’re made of. I was super excited to have them on. I’m. I remember right from the beginning with the audition, they came in with just gusto and confidence. And they do not disappoint; I’ll tell you that.

I love parent-child relationships. Those relationships are super special. And, as a parent, it’s really sad when your child eventually leaves you. You’re sort of excited for them, but you also realize that’s the end of an era. I got those great opportunities later in life after I left home to go on adventures with my dad. And I think, for Ann-Marie, she really wanted that with her daughter, with Riley. And Riley really looks up to her mom. And mom is super strong; she’s a leader in her business. And so that dynamic, [they found] a new appreciation for each other. Riley is incredibly powerful physically. I mean, she’s a bobsledder, so you’ve got to be really super strong because it all comes down to a really good push out of the gate, and then driving down the hill at breakneck speed on the ice. So she’s got nerves of steel on top of being super strong. So a great team and really passionate. Competing really matters to them.

Andrea, incredibly smart Ivy League student. Because of the separation of her parents, she had a little bit of distance from her dad. I think she really wanted to come on the race with him to get to know him a little bit more, and vice versa. The value of making the effort to connect and the importance of not waiting. This was one of those relationships where I think the two of them were like, “Okay, we’re at that stage in our life where we really need to make the effort.” And it definitely brought them closer together, and also gave them a new appreciation for each other.

I would describe them as a little eccentric. They have their own kind of humor. It’s very dry. It’s hard to describe their humor. They find each other very funny, let’s just say that, which is good. But some of the humor is odd. Absolute love for each other, but they also rib each other like crazy, and it seems to be part of that dynamic. And one of the reasons they wanted to come on the show was for their mother, who’s a superfan of Amazing Race, but who has been cursed with one of these “mystery illnesses,” very hard to describe. And they wanted to bring awareness to the illness. It’s like a typical brother/sister relationship where you can tell they love each other, but if you didn’t know that, you would think they hate each other sometimes.

I don’t want to say “Beavis and Butthead.” [Laughs.] I don’t want to say that, but I just said it. They’re, first of all, just so devoted to each other. I love friends that you can tell are just “super friends.” You can tell that they would literally do anything for each other. They bring the joy to Amazing Race this season. I don’t know if you’ll ever see a moment with them where they’re not smiling. They literally loved every single moment of the race and constantly told us how lucky they felt they were, how excited they were about continuing every leg that they got to go on. Just pure joy. That’s what you want, right? They’re just super excited and appreciative of being given the opportunity.

Also joy, love, respect. There are certain people that have an aura about them, where you want to hang with them because it’s good energy. That’s how I would describe them. They’re just both really, really good energy. And they have other sisters also, but they’re super close. You feel like they’re like twins; they’re going to finish each other’s sentences. But super excited about being on the show.

The biggest smiles of the season. It’s an interesting dynamic. Dalton is of Filipino descent; he’s growing up in a super small town. I don’t know how many people are in the town exactly, but it’s like 500 or something. It’s a really, really small town, so everybody knows everybody’s business. They’re just puppy love. They’re close to 30, but you would think they were 16 the way they act with each other. It’s all fun and games with them up to a point where suddenly I think they realize that maybe they’re stronger than other people thought. And then they’re kind of smiling at teams, and then behind their backs, they’re not necessarily telling the truth about everything. So they become more and more game players as the race goes on.

Doug is the oldest racer we’ve ever had. But definitely does not look the oldest. He could easily pass for a 64, 65-year-old. He’s younger than he appears, and got himself in phenomenal shape. And Dylan spent a lot of time with his grandfather growing up because of his parents being busy, and so they have a very close relationship. It really is more like a father-son relationship than it is a grandfather-grandson relationship. I really relate to this team because I had the privilege of spending a lot of time with my grandfather growing up, learned how to use tools with him, and learned proper work ethic and getting a job done properly, taking pride in your work, putting your tools back after you’ve done a job, and preparing for the next job.

A lot of really good life lessons that I got from my grandfather, and I can see that Dylan got the same from his grandfather. He’s absolutely enamored with him. He hangs on every word that he says, and the love and respect for each other is mutual. Dylan’s been waiting since he was 10 or 11 to be on Amazing Race, waiting for that day when he turned 18 that he could be like, “Okay, now I get to go on the show.” He applied, we interviewed them and we’re like, “Okay, we’ve never done this dynamic before. We’ve never had somebody who is this old and this young competing together.” So it is an Amazing Race first, and it’s a great dynamic.

Well, I would say Erin is, going into the race, definitely the boss. She’s the one that’s she sort of takes charge. She’s the leader right at the starting line. She makes it very clear what she wants. Because I ask her point blank, “What do you want out of this?” What we know from when they auditioned was that she wants Javi, as she says, to step up, be more dominant, and take more control. I think she wants to let go of the reins a little bit and let him take control a little bit more. And I’m pleased to say that Javi really does step up for her. And there are moments on the race where I ask her point blank, “Well, has Javi lived up to what you wanted? Is he changing? Is he making an effort?” And she definitely sealed her approval with a kiss on a number of occasions on the mat.

So what you have here are two women who are very smart, high-IQ problem-solvers who get on really, really well. Just the fact that they’re moms means that they understand that dynamic of being caregivers as well as being able to hold down a professional job. They have a lot of respect for each other. They’re both A types, and they’re both used to being in control and wanting to be in control. So there is a moment in the race where they find it hard to give in. And so there’s a pivotal moment where it really all comes to a head with the two of them, and you’ll have to see whether they survive that moment. But it has to do with the fact that they’re both very bright, and they both are used to being right because they’re smart and they know what they’re doing. But they have a difference of opinion at a pivotal point in the race.

Fun, bubbly, fit, competitive. That usual sister dynamic where they just love each other and will do anything for each other. They’re one of the teams that really appreciated the opportunity. They really wanted to be a part of this. They can’t quite believe that they’re getting this opportunity. Super excited, like at the starting line, just jumping up and down uncontrollably.

One of my favorite teams in a long, long time! Michelle is I’m going to say possibly the most competitive person that we’ve had on race in — I can’t even think how long. She’s very smart, very savvy, very strategic. Doesn’t suffer any fools. Is not worried about what anyone thinks of her. She’s not worried about having to follow anybody. She doesn’t want to follow anybody. She just knows what she wants. She’s determined, focused, and Matt a lot of times is tagging along. So she’s in control and is a very good racer.

Matt is a bit more easygoing. He’s not fighting for control. Sometimes you see in relationships, particularly with men, if their partner tries to take control, it threatens their masculinity or something. Not Matthew. Matthew’s easygoing. He’s like, “Okay, yeah, sounds good to me. Let’s go.” He’s a good partner, and he’s also very smart and a good racer. They’re a strong team.

They don’t come across as super competitive. They come across more easygoing, like, “Hey, this is going to be a great experience. Let’s see what happens.” They haven’t got the same kind of fight like you’ll see in Michelle and, say, Erin or Reilly. Literally the strongest personalities as far as being competitive are all the women. I mean, Erin, Michelle, Joanne and Ali, Riley and her mom Ann-Marie. These brothers, they’re just more relaxed. It would be like if Cheech and Chong in their younger days were on The Amazing Race. Much more of that kind of relaxed mentality.

Moving is already a long checklist of boxes, utilities, address changes and closing details. Your home security system can easily get lost in the shuffle. Fortunately, a DIY security system is generally designed to be portable, so moving it to a new house usually does not require starting from scratch.

If you use an ADT self-installed system, the company says its equipment can be moved and configured for a new home. The bigger task is making sure your sensors, cameras and other devices are positioned correctly for the new floor plan.

Can you move a DIY security system to a new home?

Yes. A DIY security system with portable, wireless equipment can generally be dismantled, transported and installed again at a new property. Before moving, notify your security provider if the system is professionally monitored, update the service address and plan where sensors and cameras will go in the new home.

ADT specifically says its self-installed systems are portable and can be set up and configured in a new home. The process is straightforward, but don’t simply put every device back in the same location. Your new home’s doors, windows, rooms and entry points will probably require a different setup.

1. Tell Your Security Provider You’re Moving

The first step is notifying the company that monitors your system.

ADT recommends contacting the company at least 30 days before moving to discuss options for your new home. If you have professionally monitored DIY security, ADT also recommends updating the address in the system so help can be sent to the correct location.

Before moving day, confirm:

• Your new service address
• The date you’ll leave the old property
• The date you’ll begin occupying the new property
• Whether professional monitoring will continue
• Whether your current equipment is compatible with the new setup
• Whether you need additional sensors for the new house

Updating the address is especially important when professional monitoring is involved. Emergency responders need the correct property information if an alarm is triggered.

2. Carefully Remove Peel-And-Stick Sensors

Many DIY security systems use adhesive-backed door and window sensors rather than hardwired equipment. ADT’s wireless door/window sensors, for example, are designed to install without tools.

Before packing them:

1. Disarm the system and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for removing each device.
2. Remove sensors carefully rather than pulling aggressively against the wall or frame.
3. Keep each sensor and its corresponding magnet together.
4. Label devices if you have several that look identical.
5. Pack them in a protected container so they aren’t crushed or separated during the move.

Take photos of the existing setup before removing everything. They can serve as a useful reference when you’re reinstalling equipment.

Don’t assume every adhesive sensor should go back in exactly the same spot. The new home’s layout determines which doors and windows need coverage.

3. Create a New Security Plan

Before sticking sensors to the walls, walk through the new property and identify its potential entry points.

ADT recommends considering doors that open into the house, ground-floor windows and other accessible windows when planning a DIY system. Garages and outbuildings may also warrant protection depending on their use and contents.

This is also the time to account for major differences between the two houses. A larger home may need additional sensors, while an open floor plan could change where motion detectors work best.

Don’t Forget Cameras

Before mounting cameras, check the field of view, lighting conditions, power requirements and Wi-Fi coverage. Your new property may also have different blind spots, entrances or outdoor areas that deserve attention.

4. Reinstall the Equipment and Reconnect the System

Once you’ve decided where everything belongs, reinstall the equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

For an ADT DIY system, that can include reconnecting the base, installing sensors, setting up cameras and using the ADT+ app to manage the system. ADT says its DIY systems are designed for self-installation, while remote assistance is available if customers need help during setup.

Don’t rush this step just because you’ve installed the system before. The new house introduces different distances, walls and Wi-Fi conditions that could affect device placement.

5. Test Every Sensor Before You Consider the Move Finished

A security system isn’t ready simply because the devices are mounted.

Walk through the house and test each door and window sensor. Check that cameras show the areas you intended to cover, verify that the app receives notifications and make sure the base or hub communicates with all connected equipment.

Wireless systems also have range considerations. ADT notes that wireless sensors need to remain within a certain distance of the central control panel, which can affect placement.

If something isn’t communicating properly, don’t assume the device is defective. Its new location may simply be too far from the hub or affected by the home’s construction.

If you’re moving into a significantly larger house, this is also when you may discover that your old system doesn’t provide the coverage you need.

Before leaving your old home, make sure you have:

• Removed and packed all portable security equipment
• Kept paired sensors together
• Updated your service address
• Confirmed your monitoring arrangement
• Mapped the new home’s doors and windows
• Planned new camera locations
• Checked Wi-Fi and device range
• Reinstalled every sensor securely
• Tested every device and notification

Moving a DIY security system doesn’t have to add another major project to an already hectic move. The key is treating the new property as a new security layout rather than simply recreating the old one.
