From Scrub Daddy to Bombas: The Most Successful 'Shark Tank' Products, Ranked

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 10:54am

What do a smiley sponge, a lobster truck, cozy socks and a potty stool all have in common? They’re all big Shark Tanksuccess stories!

After 17 years on TV, the iconic ABC reality show is still helping hopeful entrepreneurs to succeed beyond their wildest dreams. Since Shark Tank debuted in 2009, aspiring founders have pitched their products to a panel of business moguls—including Kevin “Mr. Wonderful” O’Leary, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John and Mark Cuban (who left the show in 2025). This season, viewers have also seen guest sharks Chip andJoanna Gaines, Kendra Scott, Alexis Ohanian, Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan, Allison Ellsworth, Fawn Weaver and Rashaun Williams offer contestants investments.

But getting Shark Tank support is no guarantee, as there have been both winners and losers after the cameras stopped rolling. As Parade recently reported, some Shark Tank winners ended up as failures. Now, with the Season 17 finale episode airing on Wednesday, April 22, it’s time to celebrate the show's billion-dollar brands. Here’s our list of the 13 most successful products in Shark Tank’s history, based on sales.

12 Most Successful Products in 'Shark Tank' History12. GrooveBook—Season 5, Episode 13

After losing thousands of family photos on a smartphone, married couple Brian and Julie Whiteman wanted others to avoid the same fate. So in 2014, they pitched GrooveBook—a $2.99 monthly service that allowed customers to create a printed book of up to 100 photos right from their phone.

The sharks were impressed and Cuban and O'Leary invested $150,000 for 80 percent of the licensing rights. Shutterfly acquired GrooveBook in 2015 for a cool $14.5 million, making the Whitemans win big. "I always knew something huge was going to happen with this company," O'Learly said in an ABC interview.

While it’s still considered one of Shark Tank’s most stellar pitches, Shutterfly decided to shutter the doors on this unique subscription service in 2022 and provided no statement as to why.

11. Stasher Bags—Season 9, Episode 16

Things went swimmingly for Kat Nouri in 2018 as she sold the sharks on Stasher, her line of reusable, eco-friendly silicone storage bags with an airtight seal. Each one lasts about three years and can go from freezer to microwave to dishwasher and even stand up to boiling water.

Nouri drove a hard bargain with Cuban, then gave him a hug after he invested $400,000 for a 15 percent stake. According to Failory, Stasher brings in $12 million in annual revenue. They are available via major retailers like Target and Amazon. In December 2019, Stasher announced that it was being acquired by SC Johnson. Nouri is no longer the CEO, but as of 2024 was still Stasher’s brand ambassador.

10. ReadeREST—Season 3, Episode 2

In 2012, inventor Rick Hopper pitched his idea that would allow customers to never lose or drop their eyeglasses again! His ReadeREST holder uses high-powered magnets to secure a simple eyeglass clip to an article of clothing, typically on the front of a shirt.

Rick Hopper makes his Shark Tank pitch.

Hopper playfully fell down as he walked onto Shark Tank—and then told the moguls, "I hate losing my glasses!" Then, the entrepreneur noted how awful it looked when people wore their glasses on "granny chains and ropes" that hang around their necks. Thankfully, his invention would solve that problem.

The sharks were both charmed and convinced—Greiner invested $150,000 for 65 percent equity in ReadeREST.

The company has reportedly gone on to a whopping $27 million in sales.

9. The Sleep Styler—Season 8, Episode 19

In 2017, Tara Brown pitched The Sleep Styler—a heat-free, foam hair roller that’s worn while sleeping so users wake up with their hair already styled. Greiner was impressed, investing $75,000 for a 25 percent stake in the business. "Within the first 24 hours after Shark Tank (airing), I did $1.5 million in sales," Brown recalled in an interview.

The success continued and by 2019, The Sleep Styler surpassed $100 million in sales. Strangely enough, the company's official website has since been shut down, though the product is still available through third-party retailers via Amazon.

8. The Bouqs Company—Season 5, Episode 27

In 2014, online flower retailer John Tabis told the sharks that he teamed up with eco-friendly flower farms and cut out the middlemen between flower growers and buyers, which made prices 80 percent lower for customers. The show’s moguls took a pass, but three years later—after Tabis provided flowers for Herjavec’s wedding to Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Kym Johnson—the shark had a change of heart. Herjavec invested an undisclosed amount in The Bouqs Company. Since then, the company has reportedly earned more than $100 million.

7. Tipsy Elves—Season 5, Episode 12

Christmas was in the air when Evan Mendelsohn and Nicklaus Morton brought Tipsy Elves, a brand that sold purposely designed ugly Christmas sweaters, to the ABC reality show in 2013. Morton told the sharks their sweaters would replace old, smelly thrift store finds with "fun, witty, high-quality sweaters that the whole family can enjoy." After watching the guys’ ugly sweater fashion show, Herjavec invested $100,000 for a 10 percent stake.

Ugly Christmas sweater company Tipsy Elves appears on Shark Tank.

Tipsy Elves made merry all the way to the bank, reportedly achieving $125 million in sales. The brand is still going strong in 2026.

6. Simply Fit Board—Season 7, Episode 8

In 2015, mother/daughter entrepreneurs Linda Clark and Gloria Hoffman delivered a fun pitch and demo of their exercise board designed to help users build their core by balancing upright on it and twisting back and forth. O’Leary and Cuban both took it for a spin on camera! But it was “Queen of QVC” Greiner who took over financing, making the deal with $125,000 for a 20 percent stake.

As of 2024, the Simply Fit Board has reportedly soared to over $174 million in sales.

5. The Comfy—Season 9, Episode 10 The Comfy co-founders make a deal with Barbara Corcoran.

Who wouldn’t want to get comfy? The wearable hoodie-blanket with the irresistible name got a warm pitch in 2017 from brothers Brian and Michael Speciale. "It’s the blanket that’s a sweatshirt" they sang when marketing it for the Christmas season on Shark Tank. The Speciales raised $50,000 for 30 percent from Corcoran.

Since then, The Comfy has made $250 million in sales. But in 2022, Forbes reported that "the brand went from holiday darling and trendy product to near disaster" with a "slew of poor, possibly risky, financial decisions coupled with supply chain issues and tension among company leaders."

After the rough patch, however, it’s still in business and Corcoran has said her Comfy decision is one of the best she's ever made on the show.

4. The Squatty Potty—Season 6, Episode 9

Bobby Edwards and his mom Judy wanted the sharks to help get things moving with their potty stool in 2014! "We’re in the business to help you do your business," Judy said to the panel’s laughter. She pointed out that we can only poop properly if we're in a squat position. The stool sits on the floor in front of the toilet. Users place their feet on the stool, which elevates their knees above the hips to do a number two in a healthy squatting position. Greiner backed the mother/son duo, investing $350,000 for a 10 percent stake.

Squatty Potty also scored big with the public, with lifetime sales exceeding $260 million. In 2021, the company was acquired by Aterian, a publicly-traded consumer products company, for a cool $31.1 million.

3. Cousins Maine Lobster Truck—Season 4, Episode 6

In 2012, cousins Sabin Lomac and Jim Tselikis thrilled Shark Tank fans with their food truck concept that would offer lobster shipped from their home state of Maine. They nabbed a deal with Corcoran where she'd receive a 15 percent stake in their company in exchange for a $55,000 investment. After their Shark Tank appearance, the business exploded and Cousins Maine Lobster hit $700,000 in sales.

But they were just getting started. The company has since grown from a single food truck in Los Angeles to over 85 locations across 30+ states—including food trucks and brick-and-mortar eateries. As of June 2025, Cousins Maine Lobster surpassed $1 billion in lifetime systemwide sales, making it one of the biggest success stories in Shark Tank history.

3. Scrub Daddy—Season 4, Episode 7

The smiley face reusable sponge became a sensation after being featured on Shark Tank in 2012. Scrub Daddy’s founder Aaron Krause said with cameras rolling that his product was “the cutest but most high-tech scrubbing tool in the world.” He demonstrated that his sponge was ingenious, getting firm in cold water and soft in hot.

Krause earned himself a Shark Tank bidding war, with Greiner ultimately investing $200,000 for 20 percent equity.

Scrub Daddy makes a deal!

Scrub Daddy has since become a cleaning empire, with products appearing in more than 250,000 retail locations worldwide. Lifetime sales have surpassed $1.3 billion, with annual revenue reaching approximately $340 million in 2024 alone.

2. Poppi—Season 10, Episode 8

In 2018, Allison Ellsworth and her husband appeared on Shark Tank to pitch Mother Beverage. At the time, Ellsworth was nine months pregnant and gave birth to a son just ten days after filming!

When Stephen and Allison Ellsworth first appeared on Shark Tank, their sparkling prebiotic beverage was called ‘Mother.’

Guest Shark Rohan Oza made the TV deal with the Ellsworths, offering $400,000 for a 25 percent stake in the business. The couple tweaked their product by adding a little sugar, changing from glass bottles to cans—and most notably—switching the name from Mother Beverage to the lively and fun Poppi.

Mother Beverage was eventually renamed Poppi.

In 2025, the Ellsworths sold their beverage company to PepsiCo for nearly $2 billion (which includes an estimated $300 million of cash tax benefits). Oza brokered the blockbuster sale.

1. Bombas—Season 6, Episode 1

Sock success! According to Investopedia, Bombas is the most successful product from Shark Tank. In 2014, viewers saw founders David Heath and Randy Goldberg seeking funding for their comfortable socks that featured a blister tab and extra cushioning. And the company had heart: For every pair of socks purchased, another would get donated to an organization that helps homeless people.

These founders scored big with their socks!

John invested $200,000 for 17.5 percent equity. Incredibly, Bombas has grown into the biggest Shark Tank hit of all time, with over $2 billion in lifetime sales and approximately $325 million in annual revenue.

In addition to socks, Bombas now offers tee shirts, slippers, and underwear. The company has also stayed true to its charity mission, having donated more than 50 million clothing items.

Crystal Light’s First New Flavors in Years Are Inspired by a Viral Trend

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 10:51am

The popular drink mix brand Crystal Light is doing its best to get customers into summer mode. The brand has developed three new drink mix flavors that were inspired by the viral "BookTok" social media trend, and they already have fans buzzing.

According to People on April 22, Crystal Light's three new powdered drink mix flavors were chosen to sync with three of the most popular book genres: thriller, romance, and fantasy.

The three new flavors, the first released by Crystal Light in about two years, include Prickly Pear Lemonade, Hibiscus Lemonade, and Passion Fruit.

People noted that according to Crystal Light, the Passion Fruit flavor "delivers an exotic, intense flavor inspired by fantasy."

The Prickly Pear Lemonade mix provides "an intriguing, unexpected twist" that is inspired by the mystery book genre. Finally, the Hibiscus Lemonade flavor was inspired by the romantic book genre. Crystal Light shares that it "pairs the light and sweet taste of hibiscus and lemonade."

View this post on Instagram

Crystal Light is collaborating with influencer Brooke Averick, who is popular on TikTok, in part for her book-related content, to release these three new flavors. Averick, known on TikTok as LadyEfron, also has a podcast, The Obsessed with Brooke Averick. Her first book, Phoebe Berman's Gonna Lose It, debuts on May 26.

For those unfamiliar with "BookTok," it is a subcommunity of TikTok users who are passionate about all things books.

Many books have become viral hits thanks to recommendations from the BookTok community. As a Goodreads list indicates, popular novels such as Fourth Wing, A Court of Thorns and Roses, and The Love Hypothesis have been popular BookTok recommendations.

All three new Crystal Light BookTok-inspired drink mixes are currently available at retailers nationwide. The flavors are available for a limited time, though, so curious customers will want to scoop them up quickly.

Marilyn Monroe's 'Untold Story' Revealed in New Book Honoring 100-Year Milestone

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 10:50am

Marilyn Monroe would be turning 100 years old on June 1 of this year. Talk about Hollywood royalty, and a bright star was passed far too young.

Her legacy lives on, of course, and in honor of the upcoming 100-year milestone, a visual biography titled The Marilyn Monroe Century will be published in June and offer "a deeply personal journey through the life of the world’s most enduring icon."

Featuring never-before-seen photographs by Bruno Bernard (who was also known as Bernard of Hollywood), the book traces the emotional and artistic evolution of Norma Jeane Mortenson into Marilyn Monroe.

As a quick history lesson, Bernard is the photographer behind "Marilyn in White," which is said to be the defining image of twentieth-century 20th-century Hollywood glamour.

Through a bond forged early in her career, Bernard's relationship with Monroe reveals an intimate dialogue between a young woman discovering herself and the photographer who recognized her potential before the world did, according to a press release for The Marilyn Monroe Century.

Their connection, preserved in Bernard’s personal diaries and never-before-seen correspondence, reportedly chronicles a complex and often fragile friendship between two outsiders who found solace in one another.

The new book also unfolds as a cinematic narrative, as Bernard is said to be the only photographer who witnessed and helped shape the full arc of Norma Jeane’s metamorphosis into Monroe. Per the publisher Abrams, co-authors Joshua John Miller (Bernard’s grandson) and Mark A. Fortin open Bernard’s archive for the first time to reveal a history that challenges familiar myths and reframes one of the most documented figures in modern culture.

The Marilyn Monroe Century is expected to bring new emotional context to Monroe's journey, presenting the woman behind the icon in a way she has never been seen, thanks to:

  • personal writings from Bernard
  • commentary from contemporary Hollywood voices, including Academy Award–winning director Sean Baker
  • a foreword by actress, activist, and filmmaker Rose McGowan

20 Years Ago, This Country Couple's Legendary Tour Helped Launch Taylor Swift's Career

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 10:43am

In April 2006, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw embarked on their iconic joint Soul2Soul II tour, which, at the time, was one of the highest-grossing tours ever. The show featured a set by McGraw, a set by Hill, and a handful of duets by the couple together.

Though there were no supporting acts on the original leg of the tour in 2006, its massive success led to an extension into 2007, with a new face on the lineup. A teenage Taylor Swift joined as an opener, providing jet fuel for the career of a girl who would become one of the world's biggest popstars of all time.

Why Faith Hill and Tim McGraw Invited Taylor Swift on Tour

So, how did it happen? Swift's first-ever single, "Tim McGraw," came out in 2006, while the "Live Like You Were Dying" musician was taking the world by storm alongside his wife on the first leg of the Soul2Soul II tour. When he first heard it, he admitted he was "a little apprehensive."

"I thought, have I gotten to that age now to where they're singing songs about me? Does that mean I've jumped the shark a bit? Is everything still cool?" he told People. "Somebody had told me that she was in her seventh-grade math class when she wrote the song, so it made me feel a little bit better about that because she was so young writing it. So I didn't feel like I was that terribly old."

Just months later, Swift performed the song at the 2007 American Country Music Awards before finally meeting the legendary country duo for the first time, introducing herself after the performance. "It's so nice to meet you!" she said, giving them both hugs. Shortly after, they invited her on tour.

"Faith and I both said, 'This girl, she's going to be the biggest star in the world,'" he told Audacy. "She's just so curious, which is a sign of great intelligence. We had no doubt she was headed to do big things."

The Advice Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Gave Taylor Swift

McGraw and Hill would have long talks with Swift on tour, and shared some advice for her career. "We had long conversations with her in Faith’s dressing room about always being open to listening, but always know that you’re the leader, that you’re the one making decisions," he told People. "That you will know what song is going to work or not and that you are the captain of your ship."

"I think she has brilliantly navigated that line," he said, looking back.

The tour was a massive success, breaking Garth Brooks' record for the highest-grossing country music concerts of all time grossing $88.8 million. Less than 10 years later, Swift took the title herself with her The Red Tour, which grossed more than $150 million.

Hill and McGraw have continued to support Swift, joining her on her Reputation tour, presenting her with the CMA Pinnacle Award in 2013, and always speaking highly of her.

Looking back, Swift is grateful for the mentorship she's received from the country royals since she was just a teenager. "I had so many mentors in country music. Faith Hill was wonderful. She would reach out to me and invite me over and take me on tour, and I knew that I could talk to her," she told Billboard in 2019.

2015 Hit Film Ranked Among 'Best Movies of All Time' Won an Oscar

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 10:43am

A movie's storyline can sometimes hit audiences even harder when learning it's based on real-life events. Director Tom McCarthy and Josh Singer crafted a 2015 biographical film centered on an investigative journalist team that ranked among the best and earned an Oscar.

An ensemble cast including Mark RuffaloMichael KeatonRachel McAdams, John Slattery, Stanley Tucci, Brian d'Arcy James, Liev Schreiber, and Billy Crudup enthralled audiences in Spotlight. The film follows The Boston Globe's "Spotlight" team, one of the newspaper's oldest and continuously operating investigative teams. Based on real events, the journalists begin to uncover a decades-long cover-up of child sexual abuse within the Catholic church.

Rotten Tomatoes ranked Spotlight as one of the "Best Movies of All Time," with a 97% rating from fans and critics. While the movie's plot is original, McCarthy and Singer based its details on a series of stories published by the Spotlight team uncovering the abuse and its abusers. Their work led the newspaper to win the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service, and a further investigation into parishes and churches around the globe.

According to Singer to Creative Screenwriting, "This story isn't about exposing the Catholic Church. We were not on some mission to rattle people's faith. In fact, Tom came from a Catholic family. The motive was to tell the story accurately while showing the power of the newsroom—something that's largely disappeared today. This story is important. Journalism is important, and there is a deeper message in the story."

Related: 1983 No. 1 Hit Dance Track Won an Oscar for ‘Best Original Song’ 42 Years Ago

Spotlight wasn't the biggest box-office success, having made over $98 million against its $20 million budget. Despite this, it did receive a resonating round of applause at the Venice Film Festival, leading it to win the Oscar for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay. It also won a SAG award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

"Spotlight gracefully handles the lurid details of its fact-based story while resisting the temptation to lionize its heroes, resulting in a drama that honors the audience as well as its real-life subjects," reported Rotten Tomatoes. The film has also been ranked in a New York Times list as one of the best movies of the 21st century. Its been included in multiple top-ten lists by critics since its release.

A 100-Year-Old Resort Frank Sinatra Once Owned and the Kennedys Frequented Is Officially Reopening

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 10:35am

A legendary piece of American travel history is making a comeback. After more than a decade of sitting empty, the iconic Cal Neva Resort & Casino, once owned by Frank Sinatra and frequented by members of the Kennedy family, is officially on track to reopen.

For travelers, this isn’t just another hotel relaunch. It’s the revival of a destination that helped define luxury travel, celebrity culture, and the mystique of Lake Tahoe.

A Legendary Resort Returns

Originally opened in 1926 on the shores of Lake Tahoe, the Cal Neva quickly became one of the most glamorous resorts in the country. Its unique location, straddling the California-Nevada border, made it especially famous, with even its pool and dining areas split between the two states.

But its real golden era came in the 1960s, when Sinatra took ownership and turned the resort into a playground for Hollywood’s elite. Icons like Marilyn Monroe, Dean Martin, and political figures like John F. Kennedy were regular visitors.

The resort became known for its glamorous parties, live performances, and even its network of secret tunnels, originally built during Prohibition, that allowed high-profile guests to move discreetly around the property.

After decades of changing ownership and declining conditions, the resort closed in 2013 for renovations but never reopened. Until now.

The $298 Million Comeback

Fast forward to today, and the Cal Neva is finally getting a second life.

Developers have secured nearly $300 million in funding to restore and transform the property into a modern luxury destination, now expected to reopen as the Lake Tahoe Proper Resort and Casino.

The project aims to strike a balance between preserving the resort’s historic character and introducing high-end, contemporary amenities. Plans include:

  • Nearly 200 guest rooms, suites, and private villas
  • Multiple restaurants and bars, including the iconic Circle Bar
  • A restored theater and casino
  • A luxury spa, pools, and wellness facilities
  • Expanded event and recreational spaces

Developers are targeting a reopening around 2027, aligning with the resort’s 100-year anniversary, which is a symbolic milestone for one of the West’s most storied properties.

What to Expect When It Reopens

When the doors finally open, visitors can expect a blend of old-school glamour and modern luxury. Historic elements, such as the theater and tunnels, are being preserved, while new additions, such as wellness centers and upscale dining, aim to attract today’s travelers.

The goal isn’t to recreate the past exactly, but to reimagine it, bringing the spirit of the 1960s heyday into a 21st-century experience.

For decades, this was a place where celebrities escaped, deals were made, and unforgettable moments unfolded. Now, a new generation of travelers will have the chance to experience that legacy for themselves.

And while you may not run into Sinatra or the Kennedys, you’ll still be stepping into a piece of history, one that’s finally getting the comeback it deserves.

Are Hope and Doc Over on 'Virgin River'? Annette O'Toole Says Their Marriage May Not Survive (Exclusive)

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 10:32am

Hope McCrea (Annette O’Toole) and Vernon “Doc” Mullins (Tim Matheson) have weathered plenty of storms on Virgin River. But Season 7 of the hit Netflix series put their marriage to the test once again, leaving us more than a bit worried about their future.

By season’s end, Doc has his license back and agrees to collaborate with Grace Valley Hospital after a medical emergency involving a pregnant patient, Marley. But he decides without telling Hope.

🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

“That’s been Hope’s driving force all season: Getting Doc’s license back and dealing with Dr. Hayes trying to take over the clinic,” O’Toole exclusively told Parade. “All he had to do was call her. Their whole issue about their prior problems and his long-ago infidelity was that he didn’t tell her. He wasn’t honest with her.”

For Hope, it’s not just the decision he made; it was the silence.

“She did all this work, and it could have been avoided with communication,” O’Toole said. “Their past issues, including his infidelity, came down to the same thing: He didn’t tell her. He wasn’t honest.”

Hope has long believed that when it came to her and Doc, it was “you and me against the world.” So, when Doc acts alone, it hits her hard.

“If he had said, ‘I have to do this, and here’s why,’ she wouldn’t have liked it, but she could have processed it,” O’Toole explained. “Instead, it just blew things to smithereens. Now she has to regroup.”

Adding to the tension? Hope’s ex-husband, Roland (John Ralston), who resurfaces as a source of support — and admits he’s still in love with her. Still, O’Toole downplays any romantic triangle.

“I wouldn’t call it that,” she said. “He’s someone from her past; someone she knows deeply. She needed a friend, and he was there. It’s more about familiarity—and rethinking who he is to her now.”

At its heart, Virgin River remains an ensemble story that is centered on Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson), Doc and Hope, and Lizzie and Denny, and their extended circle of family and friends. It represents three generations in the close-knit coastal town.

Looking ahead to Season 8, O’Toole hopes that Hope comes through stronger after weathering the storm of Doc’s betrayal. “My allegiance is to Hope becoming the best version of herself,” she said. “This season explored her relationship with her father—next season, it’s about letting go of old wounds.”

Growth is the goal. “I want to see her start fresh,” O’Toole added. “To move past guilt, old wounds, and obligation and really step into who she is. I think she needs to give up all that stuff. I just want to see her start afresh and see what happens.”

As for Hope and Doc’s future? After 25 years of ups and downs, O’Toole is keeping an open mind. “I feel like their therapist,” she said with a laugh. “I don’t need them to stay together or to split up -- I just want to see how it plays out.”

Season 8 is now in production in Vancouver, where O’Toole brings along her dog, Barry — and this time, her husband, Michael McKean — for part of the filming.

“It’s breathtaking where we film,” she said, noting the steady stream of fans who track down locations and are eager to say how much they enjoy the show. “They’re always so kind and generous.”

Another key storyline continues through Doc’s grandson Denny (Kai Bradbury), his wife Lizzie (Sarah Dugdale), and their baby, Coco, played by a rotation of twins under the careful eyes of their parents, a nurse, and a social worker.

“They’re precious,” O’Toole said. “You don’t get them all day—they’re carefully timed—but I do get to hold the baby early in season 8, and I’m very excited.”

“There are many babies on the set, because as they grow out of the role. So it’s usually two sets of twins who come every time they are needed, and they’re precious, really darling. I am enjoying them very much,” O’Toole said. “I think I get to hold the baby in the first or second episode of Season 8, and I am extremely excited about it.”

Season 7 also tackled Lizzie’s postpartum depression, including a powerful scene with Hope, Lizzie, and Mel supporting one another during a baby shower at Jack’s bar.

“It showed three generations, all feeling similar things,” O’Toole said. “That scene reminded me of the strength of women caring for one another, holding one another, while we were all sitting on the floor of this bathroom supporting her,” she said.  “I think touching on these issues is helpful to people.”

Off-camera, O’Toole enjoys quieter pursuits like reading and knitting, and values the close friendships she has built with her castmates.

“Now that I am older, having female friendships has become even more valuable to me. I can connect to the way that these women are there for one another,” she said. “There’s something special about women who know each other so well -- flaws and all -- and still show up with honesty and love.”

Seasons 1-7 of Virgin River are streaming on Netflix. Season 8 is currently in production.

Zendaya's Stylist Catches Major Backlash Over His 'Whining' About First Class Delta Seat

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 10:27am

Air travel has a funny way of amplifying expectations. When you pay for a basic seat, you hope to arrive safely. When you pay for premium cabins, however, expectations begin to grow legs. Sometimes those legs are supposed to stretch fully flat.

That was the case for celebrity stylist Law Roach, best known for crafting Zendaya’s iconic red carpet looks. Roach posted publicly on social media after boarding a Delta flight from New York to Los Angeles and discovering that the seat he purchased was not the lie-flat Delta One seat he expected.

In his message to the airline, he reportedly explained, “Dear @Delta, I'm Delta 360 and a Million Miler… I paid for a Delta One seat from NYC to LA, and when I got on the plane, it was not a lie-flat seat. I was very disappointed.”

Dear @Delta I’m Delta 360 and a Million Miler. This morning I paid for a Delta One seat from NYC to LA and when I got on the plane it was not a lay flat seat. I was very disappointed

— LAW ROACH (@LUXURYLAW) April 21, 2026

Some passengers sympathized with Roach’s frustration over paying for a premium product and receiving something different. Others felt the complaint sounded tone-deaf, given the luxury nature of the seat itself.

As someone who spends a lot of time in airports, I recognize the feeling Roach described. You board a flight with a clear expectation of what your seat will be like. When that expectation shifts after boarding, the disappointment can feel oddly personal. But the story quickly grew into something larger than a seat.

Don't miss a beat—subscribe now for trending travel updates and destination guides.

Why Travelers Reacted So Strongly to the “First Class Problem”

Many online critics argued that the stylist’s grievance sounded out of touch with everyday travelers. Some sarcastically responded with memes and comments suggesting that complaining about not being able to lie flat during a six-hour flight seemed trivial compared to broader world problems.

One user wrote in the thread, “If I paid 1,000+ to sit up straight for six hours, I would be mad too.”

Delta Promptly Responded

Delta later explained that a last-minute aircraft swap meant the flight could not offer Delta One seating, the airline’s most premium cabin featuring lie-flat beds and upgraded amenities, according to People. Such changes are allowed under the terms passengers agree to when purchasing tickets.

For travelers, this is an important reminder that airline seat products are tied to aircraft types. A Boeing 767 may offer a completely different business class seat than an Airbus A321 operating the same route on a different day.

What Smart Travelers Should Always Check Before Boarding

This episode may have started as celebrity drama, but it contains a useful lesson for everyday travelers. When booking premium cabins, it helps to double-check which aircraft is scheduled for the route. Seat-mapping tools, such as airline seat charts, can reveal whether the flight offers lie-flat seats.

Weather, maintenance issues, and operational demands can cause airlines to swap planes with little notice. The real secret to happier flying might simply be managing expectations.

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 10:25am

Jewel's latest red carpet look deserved its own award.

The singer, who attended the Breakthrough Prize Awards over the weekend, took to Instagram on Tuesday with a carousel of photos from her time at the ceremony, which recognizes innovations and accomplishments in science. And although accolades for the latest discoveries and developments were awarded, Jewel's yellow Tom Ford gown, complete with a thigh-high slit, may have stole the show.

"Celebrating all the badass scientists because scientists are rockstars," she captioned the batch of pics ,which included photos with fellow guests like Christina Aguilera and Alicia Keys.

Though commenters commended her support for scientists, fans simply couldn't get over her dress.

"Babe that leg in that slit deserves the breakthrough award," singer and actress Nicole Scherzingercommented.

"Holy Legs!!!" added another of her thigh-high slit.

"Love the dress on you you look gorgeous," added another, while a fourth echoed, "You look stunning."

Another commented on how the 51-year-old has maintained her youthful look since she first became famous as a teenager.

"My goodness how’d she stay so gorgeous all of these years!! Aging gracefully for sure," the fan wrote.

She also founded the Inspiring Children Foundation in the early 2000s to help younger generations deal with mental health struggles.

Adding another dimension to the longtime singer, she's also a sculpture and visual artist and will be showing her latest work in an exhibit in Italy starting next month.

‘Taxi’ Stars Judd Hirsch and Tony Danza Reunite 43 Years After Show’s Ending

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 10:23am

Judd Hirsch and Tony Danza, who starred on the beloved TV series Taxi, are back together again!

Taxi focused on a team of New York City taxi drivers, played by a group that included Marilu Henner, Andy Kaufman, Jeff Conaway, Christopher Lloyd, and their horribly cruel dispatcher, played by Danny DeVito. The show ran from 1978 to 1983, and went down in history as an ensemble classic. Danza, of course, went on to become TV royalty thanks to Who's the Boss, and Hirsch went on to a highly successful film and television career, with roles on series like Dear John and Numb3rs. He also had a groundbreaking performance as a therapist in Robert Redford's Ordinary People, while still appearing on the show. He followed that up more recently in 2022 with another Oscar nod for The Fabelmans.

While it's been 43 years since the conclusion of Taxi, the two legends found their way back to each other recently. Danza shared a fun snap of the duo standing in a restaurant with their arms around each other. TV legends and friends forever!

"Old friends," Danza captioned the photo.

Marilu Henner Says the Taxi Cast was Hotter Than the Cheers Cast

Last year, Henner, who played Elaine Nardo on the series, got spicy during a podcast appearance when she said the Taxi cast was hotter than the Cheers cast.

All due respect to the Cheers cast, I always thought the Taxi cast was a hotter cast,” Henner said while on the Magnificent Others with Billy Corgan podcast, the New York Post reported. “We have an expression in my family,” Henner continued, “PF, it’s like BDE, only it’s not sizeist and sexist like BDE is. PF measures the sexual quotient of people or things like, ‘Man, there was so much PF in that movie!’ or ‘God, I went to his new restaurant and…'”

“PF,” she explained, “stands for p—y factor and penis factor.”

“So I always thought the Taxi cast had more PF than most other casts,” Henner continued. “Forget about Cheers. Except for maybe Friends later.”

1980 Hit Film Ranked Among ‘Most Universally Beloved Comedy Movies of All Time’

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 10:06am

Collider has recently ranked the “7 Most Universally Beloved Comedy Movies of All Time.” The top movie on the list was Some Like It Hot with Monty Pythonand theHoly Grail and Groundhog Day securing the second and third spots. However, a film from 1980 has also made the list, Airplane!

This classic comedy, which stars Robert Hays and Julie Hagerty, is a parody poking fun at the disaster film genre. Although it draws elements from many different movies, a good chunk of the plot, dialogue, and characters is based off the 1957 film, Zero Hour!

Airplane! was a commercial success for Paramount Pictures, earning millions at the box office—and the film still holds up to this day. It currently has a 97% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. As one reviewer says, “It reminds us of the importance of pushing boundaries at the same time that it gives us a playbook for doing so in a good-natured rather than vicious or belittling way."

Related:1934 Hit Ranked Among the Top 10 ‘Best Picture Winners' of All Time

Another reviewer complimented the acting performances, saying, "One of the reasons why Airplane! works as well as it does is because of those actors who play their lines with a deadpan performance.”

When Yahoo Movies asked David Zucker—one of the writers and directors of the film—about his favorite joke from it, he said, “I always laugh when all the reporters run up and they knock over the phone booth, but audiences today, I don’t think they know what they are. Phone booths—they’re such an old reference.”

Although Zucker has worked on many iconic parody films throughout his career, like Airplane! and The Naked Gun, he admitted that the genre hasn’t done as well in the recent years.

“It becomes watered down," he said. "I produced Scary Movie 5, [and] that was so watered-down that [it] contributed to ruining the genre, as did all the Friedberg and Seltzer movies. [Parody] has come on hard times. They’re not being done well. Scary Movie 3 and 4 did well, they made tons of money, they were huge hits. But by Scary Movie 5, it just got watered-down, we had to do what the studio required. It’s why I didn’t want to direct it anymore.”

Other films that made the list of “Universally Beloved Comedy Movies” were Bridesmaids, The Hangover, andMean Girls.

Ella Stiller, Daughter of Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor, Looks Gorgeous on ‘The Tonight Show'

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 10:00am

Ella Stiller, the daughter of Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor, looks like a million bucks.

The rising starlet, 24, has had several parts in popular films and TV series in recent years, including a two-episode stint on And Just Like That as Miranda’s son Brady’s baby mama. But her latest gig is quite an exciting one: She stars alongside Friends icon Lisa Kudrow in a season 3 episode of The Comeback. The beloved series, which originally ran on HBO in 2005 and returned for a second season in 2014, is back for its third and final season this year. Naturally, Ella is making the rounds to promote the series, and hit The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night looking absolutely lovely. What Has Ben Stiller Said About Parenting?

Ben Stiller has spoken openly about the challenges he’s dealt with and the mistakes he’s made as a parent.

“They [Ella and Quin] were very clear with me about what I got wrong,” Stiller told PEOPLE. “And I really appreciated that, because it’s one of those things where you think you know, ‘Oh, I know what I’m putting out there to them.’ But from their perspective, it was totally different.”

Stiller said he discovered these shortcomings while working on his documentary, Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost, which chronicles the story of his parents, legendary comedians Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara.

“And by the way, that’s exactly how it was with my parents,” Ben continued. “But as the parent, I really couldn’t see that. So to be able to interview them and talk to them about it and hear their honest feelings — and the fact that they were free enough and secure enough to just say what they thought — is something I really appreciated.”

On Instagram, Ella honored her father’s work in the documentary, calling it “a beautiful, funny, gritty documentary.”

Muscle Loss on Ozempic Is a Real Problem—Here’s What Geriatricians Warn Patients Over 60 To Do Immediately

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 9:50am

Semaglutides like Ozempic (for diabetes) and Wegovy (for weight loss) have been in high demand in recent years, in large part because they are extremely effective at helping people lower their A1C and weight. But even effective medications have side effects.

"These medications can be revolutionary for managing type 2 diabetes and aiding in significant weight loss, which in turn can reduce the risk of events like a heart attack or stroke," saysDr. Zeeshan Khan, MD, chief of geriatrics at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center. "However, they are not without risks, especially for older adults."

For a period, it seemed like TikTok had a name for everything that could conceivably happen if you took Ozempic or Wegovy—Ozempic face, Ozempic hair, Ozempic butt. You name it, it probably existed in a TikTok video. But generally, people focus on the GI side effects, such as nausea and diarrhea, Dr. Khan tells Parade.

"These side effects can lead to dehydration and imbalances in essential body salts, or electrolytes, more quickly in seniors," he explains. "There's also a risk of low blood sugar—hypoglycemia—if these medications are taken with other diabetes drugs like insulin."

Dr. Khan says another concern with GLP-1s like Ozempic is the loss of muscle mass, particularly in people 60+. Is it inevitable, or can people do anything to prevent muscle loss on Ozempic (without ditching the drug, which generally leads to weight regain)? Geriatricians weighed in on the top thing people over 60 can do to protect themselves against muscle loss on Ozempic.

What Geriatricians Want Patients Over 60 To Do About Muscle Loss on Ozempic

Viktoriya Skorikova/Getty Images

Geriatricians are warning patients that it is vital to get the facts about muscle loss on Ozempic and similar drugs, like Wegovy, ASAP. They want people to understand that the risk of muscle loss with Ozempic exists, why it can happen, why it's riskier for people 60+ and how to prevent it.

"Understanding this balance of benefits and risks allows us to make an informed, shared decision about whether this treatment aligns with your personal health goals and quality of life," Dr. Khan says.

Studies suggest that people can lose significant amounts of muscle mass on semaglutide. What's more, a 2025 study of mice in The Journal of Physiology suggested that up to 40% of the weight lost on GLP-1s was lean muscle mass.

"Lean mass is everything in your body that isn’t fat, including your muscles, organs and bones," he explains.

Dr. Erika Hutz, DO,a geriatrician at Endeavor Health, echoes Dr. Khan's sentiments about seeking information on muscle loss with Ozempic. Dr. Hutz says patients over 60 have several resources that they can tap for help understanding and managing muscle loss while taking GLP-1s, mainly:

  • Your primary doctor or geriatrician, who can check your muscle mass, review your diet and make personalized recommendations.
  • A registered dietitian, who can help you consume the calories and protein you need to manage your weight without sacrificing muscle mass.
  • A certified personal trainer or physical therapist who can design safe and progressive strength programs (Dr. Hutz suggests looking for someone experienced with older adults).

Related: Zepbound vs. Wegovy: Which Weight Loss Medication Is Better Right Now?

Why Muscle Loss on Ozempic Happens

It might help to understand why muscle loss on Ozempic (and similar drugs) can happen. It ultimately comes down to the design of GLP-1s.

"The GLP-1 drugs work largely by reducing appetite and slowing the digestion process, leading to a decrease in caloric intake," explains Dr. Marzena Gieniusz, MD, a geriatrician in the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at Northwell Health.

Semaglutide is highly effective, helping people lose an average of 15% of their body weight. But your body goes through a "remodeling" when you lose weight. If the "remodel" (weight loss and calorie restriction) occurs rapidly, you're at an especially high risk of losing muscle mass. And there are several reasons for muscle loss with GLP-1s.

"First, with a reduced appetite, it becomes challenging to consume enough protein, which is the essential building block for muscle," Dr. Khan says. "If your protein intake is too low, your body will start to pull from your muscle reserves."

Rapid weight loss can feel gratifying at first, but Dr. Khan says it can result in greater muscle loss. More gradual weight loss may better help preserve muscle.

Related: Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro—Is There a Difference Between These Medications? Here’s What Experts Say

Why Extra Muscle Loss Matters to People Over 60

People over 60 are already more likely to experience muscle loss (or sarcopenia), even without GLP-1s, for many reasons. Dr. Gieniusz says that older adults are more likely to experience:

  • Decreased hormones (like testosterone and growth hormone)
  • Nerve damage
  • Decreased activity
  • Poor nutrition
  • Chronic inflammation and conditions (like diabetes, cancer and kidney disease)

"For individuals over 60, losing muscle mass is not just about a loss of strength; it's about a loss of independence and resilience," Dr. Khan states.

Dr. Hutz agrees. "Muscle isn’t just for looking fit—it helps us move safely, maintain balance and recover from illness or injury," she says. "Even small losses can increase the risk of falls, make everyday activities harder and slow recovery if you get sick. That’s why preserving muscle is especially important after 60."

3 More Tips To Protect Yourself From Muscle Loss on GLP-1s

Once you know that Ozempic and other diabetes and weight management medications can cause muscle loss, you can take additional steps to protect your health as you age. Geriatricians shared three more ways to reduce the risks of muscle loss on Ozempic and Wegovy.

1. Prioritize resistance training

Resistance training is your best line of defense, Dr. Khan says. "You need to send a clear signal to your body that your muscles are essential," he reveals. "I recommend engaging in resistance training at least three times per week."

But he does want to be clear: You don't need to become a bodybuilder. "You can use resistance bands, light weights or even your own body weight," he explains. "Exercises like squats—even modified by holding onto a chair—lunges, push-ups against a wall and rows with resistance bands are excellent."

Be sure to start slow. There's no need to go from 0 minutes of exercise to benching 60 pounds in one day.

"If you're new to this, start with a light intensity and focus on proper form," Dr. Khan says. "A few repetitions of each exercise is a great start. The goal is consistency and gradual progression."

A personal trainer can help.

2. Log cardio and other movement throughout the day

Lifting three times per week is one box to check on your physical activity list. But Dr. Hutz says you'll want to do more than go to the gym, leave and sit for the rest of the day.

"Walking, light cycling, gardening or gentle yoga helps maintain muscle and supports overall health," Dr. Hutz says. "Try to get at least 30 minutes most days, breaking it into shorter sessions if needed. Consistency matters more than intensity."

3. Get enough protein

Dr. Gieniusz implores people over 60 to eat nutrient-dense foods with sufficient protein (about 1 to 1.5 grams per kilogram of body weight). She advises people over 60 (and anyone, really) to prioritize lean protein. Think chicken, fish and plant-based proteins. Protein shakes can help supplement your diet if needed.

"Work with a qualified professional on ensuring a reasonable calorie intake, and set reasonable weight loss goals without losing too much weight too quickly," she recommends.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Star Teases the Future of Her Romance Following a Major Casting Shakeup

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 9:47am

Following the highly anticipated debut of Conner Floyd as the new Chad DiMera, on Days of Our Lives, his co-star AnnaLynne McCord is offering new insight into why Cat Greene’s complicated romance with Chad may be far from over, and teasing the “sticky spots” ahead that will reveal more about her past.

McCord was recently interviewed by The Soap Scene’s Erin Goldsby where she discussed her time on the soap opera, and her relationship with Danny Cipriani and their wedding plans.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬

Since joining Days of our Lives, McCord’s character Cat has been at the center of several major storylines. The character initially entered Salem by impersonating Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller), the late wife of Chad (then Billy Flynn, now Floyd). The scheme was later revealed to be orchestrated under duress, as Clyde Weston (James Reed) had taken Cat’s mother hostage, forcing her to comply. With Chad’s help, Cat ultimately rescued her mother, while Clyde was left comatose after being injured.

Since then, Cat has worked to rebuild her life in Salem, where her siblings Mar, Aaron, and Felicity reside. She developed genuine feelings for Chad, but their relationship became complicated when his son Thomas (then portrayed by Carey Christopher) learned the truth about her past. As a result, Chad agreed to keep his distance from Cat as part of a custody arrangement with Thomas’s grandparents.

It was later revealed that Cat is an operative for the International Security Alliance (ISA) and has begun working with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) to take down E.J. DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel)

Teasing what is to come, McCord said, “There will be some sticky spots for Cat that are very revealing that she might not appreciate.”

She added that viewers will also learn more about Cat’s history with the ISA as the storyline unfolds.

As for Cat’s love life, McCord suggested the door may not be fully closed with Chad, now played by Floyd. Despite their complicated past, she noted that it was her “true self” who fell in love with him, adding, So, that creates an energy of ‘what if’ with Chad.”

Nancy Guthrie Update: Sheriff Chris Nanos Submits 12-Page Response to Supervisors' Demand

Wed, 04/22/2026 - 9:45am

Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing 11 weeks after she was abducted from her Tucson, Ariz., home—and Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos just submitted a 12-page response to supervisors' demand for answers amid growing criticism.

On April 7, the Pima County Board of Supervisors gave Nanos 10 business days “to provide either a written or verbal response” to questions about his employment history and disciplinary actions against personnel, per Arizona Public Media.

Fast forward to Wednesday, April 22, and Fox News Digital reporter Michael Ruiztook to X with information about Nanos' written response submitted by his lawyers.

The 12-page document addressed Nanos' putting Lt. Heather Lappin on administrative leave leading up to the 2024 election — resulting in his defeating Lappin and a workplace harassment investigation being filed against him.

"Any appearance of impropriety that resulted from former Lt. Lappin's placement on administrative leave is the unfortunate result of a 2024 change to county policy that allowed county employees to run for county office without leaving their jobs," it read.

The explanation from Nanos' lawyers continued, "Before 2024, employees vying for county office were placed on leave without pay to ensure that their political aspirations did not prevent them from doing their jobs nor adversely affect the operation of their department. It is not surprising that the first election following this regrettable change in policy showcased the predictable ways in which active employees running for county office can adversely impact departmental operations."

Additionally, Nano's lawyers addressed questions about Nanos' work history. Previously, Nanos faced criticism because he actually resigned from the El Paso Police Department two years earlier then listed. The PCSD told Us Weekly that it was a mistake in “administrative in nature,” and “not intended to mislead or misrepresent.”

"It is 100% correct that Sheriff Nanos was never suspended during his four decades of decorated and faithful service with the Pima County Sheriff's Department," Nanos' lawyers explained. "However, Sheriff Nanos was suspended more than forty years ago while employed by El Paso Police Department."

Furthermore, Nanos' lawyers denied perjury allegations stemming from a First Amendment lawsuit against him. They claimed it was a misunderstanding, explaining, "In the context of his live deposition, Sheriff Nanos did not understand the question related to discipline with a different agency not governed by the Arizona Peace Officer's Bill of Rights."

Amid the criticism of Sheriff Nanos, Nancy, 84, is still missing. No suspect has been named in her Feb. 1 abduction despite Savannah offering a $1 million reward.
