Just days before the start of the Mutua Madrid Open, Naomi Osaka sent fans into a major frenzy after hinting at an intriguing “spoiler alert" on social media.

After missing several tennis Opens due to a recurring abdominal injury, the tennis star is now heating up the clay-court season.

In a social media update, the Japanese player posted a vague yet playful message about her upcoming match.

Osaka fueled fans’ curiosity after she teased followers, especially her female supporters, who will probably really like what’s coming this clay-court season.

“Spoiler alert: the girlies just might love this season’s clay court vibes,” she posted on Threads.

With no clear details revealed, the 28-year-old, who is known for delivering head-turning looks on the court, sparked excitement and triggered a wave of fan theories about her return to the clay courts.

“The girlies are very much excited,” a commenter replied.

The same goes for another who said, “Watch out, girlies.”

A commenter speculated that it could be a new sneaker drop, writing, “what could top the Red and Blue shoe combo? So excited for this season tho!”

The four-time Grand Slam singles champion withdrew from the 2026 Australian Open before her third-round match against Australian qualifier Maddison Inglis due to an abdominal injury.

"I’ve had to make the difficult decision to withdraw to address something my body needs attention for after my last match,” she posted on Instagram, as cited by the Olympics, adding, “I was so excited to keep going and this run meant the most to me, so having to stop here breaks my heart but I can’t risk doing any further damage so I can get back on the court. Thanks for all the love and support… I’m so grateful everyone embraced me so much. And thank you to my whole team for always having my back and the tournament organisers for being so kind.”

Following this, she also skipped the Qatar Open but is set to appear at the upcoming Mutua Madrid Open, scheduled from April 21 to May 3 at the Caja Mágica.

Joining the No. 15-seeded player on the clay court are Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek, Jessica Pegula and more are among those expected to compete.

Billy Idol is among the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, a milestone that was celebrated on the latest edition ofAmerican IdolSeason 24.

And, in the first minutes of the two-hour episode, which aired on Monday, April 13, the English rock legend, along with guitarist Steve Stevens, joined forces with Idol judge Carrie Underwood for a show-stopping opening duet performance of Idol’s 1984 classic “Rebel Yell.” 

The Performance

An unlikely pairing perhaps, but Underwood looked the part, wearing a glam-rock ensemble, complete with studs, leather, and long black boots. Known for her love of metal music, she fit right in with her heroes, electrifying the studio audience and viewers with her powerhouse voice. 

Idol’s moment came as a surprise to folks. He showed up after Underwood channeled the first verse of the beloved high-octane classic. Then, commanding the crowd in a red leather jacket, he showcased his signature vocals on the chorus. 

“In the midnight hour, she cried / ‘More, more, more’ / With a rebel yell, she cried, ‘More, more, more,’ wow! / In the midnight hour, babe, ‘More, more, more’ / With a rebel yell / ‘More, more, more’ / ‘More, more, more,’” he sang, as Underwood danced from side to side. 

Stevens also showed off his guitar mastery, shredding out a solo before confetti surrounded the stage — all while fellow Idol judges, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, and host Ryan Seacrest stood, watching in amazement. 

The Song

Released on January 12, 1984, and written by Idol and Stevens, “Rebel Yell” is featured on the second studio album of the same name. Surprisingly, the song never hit No. 1, peaking instead at No. 46 on the Billboard Hot 100 while landing in the Top 10 on the Mainstream Rock chart. Even without a chart-topping run, fans later voted it one of the “Best Hard Rock Songs of All Time” on VH1 in 2009. 

Teaming up with Idol and Stevens was certainly a moment to remember for Underwood, who shared her enthusiasm for the onstage collaboration. 

In a post on Instagram following the performance, she captioned: “What is my life?!?! I got the incredible chance tonight to sing with THE Billy Idol and Steve Stevens as part of our Rock & Roll Hall of Fame night on American Idol. It was an honor for me to get to share the stage with some real legends! Billy was so kind and put up with my nervousness and fangirling…I still can’t believe THAT just happened!”

The collaboration was all part of the episode’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-themed episode, in which 11 contestants showcased their talents on songs from the 2026 class of inductees. The episode also announced the inductees, which include Phil Collins, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan. 

Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, and Gram Parsons are recipients of the Early Influence Award, while Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller, and Rick Rubin will be honored with the Musical Excellence Award. Ed Sullivan will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

The 1983 debut of Press Your Luck cemented its place as one of television's most unforgettable game shows—so much so that Entertainment Weekly recently ranked it among the "best game shows of all time." Its legacy goes far beyond flashy lights and spinning boards. The game show introduced a high-stakes format and a catchphrase that still echoes in pop culture today: "Big money, no whammies!"

Premiering on CBS in 1983, Press Your Luck combined trivia with risk-based gameplay in a way that felt both strategic and, frankly, chaotic (aka great television). Contestants answered questions to earn "spins," which they then used on the iconic "Big Board"—a flashing grid filled with cash, prizes, and the dreaded "Whammy." Landing on a Whammy meant losing everything accumulated in that round, instantly raising the stakes and tension for both players and viewers.

What truly set the show apart, however, was its personality. The animated Whammy—a mischievous cartoon character—became a standout element, turning each loss into a comedic spectacle. Rather than simply deducting points, the show entertained audiences with humorous animations whenever a contestant's luck ran out. This blend of humor and suspense helped transform Press Your Luck into a cult classic that endured long after the show's finale in 1986.

"It's odd how well it's remembered because it only aired somewhat briefly, [three] years, which is a pretty short lifespan for a game show," one Reddit user wrote on a thread about the show's catchphrases.

The show's cultural impact is perhaps best captured in its most famous catchphrase: "No whammies!" Popularized by contestants hoping to avoid disaster, the phrase evolved into the widely recognized "Big money, no whammies!"—a saying still used today to express hopeful risk-taking.

Reddit users have shared that they say "No whammies!" "often," adding that they use the catchphrase "more than [they] would have guessed." Some, for example, can't help but say it to themselves in everyday instances.

"When I'm using a payment terminal, and it's taking a bit of time to process the payment, I can't help myself," one Reddit user said.

Beyond its catchphrase, the show also made headlines for one of the most infamous moments in game-show history. In 1984, contestant Michael Larson—an ice cream truck driver from Ohio—memorized the board's patterns and won over $100,000, exposing flaws in what was believed to be a totally random system. This moment in television history only deepened the show's notoriety. Larson became known as the "luckiest man in America."

"This is something that nobody had anticipated," Bob Boden, a network exec at CBS who worked on the show, told The Ohio Newsroom. "So everybody was really dumbfounded about how could this guy do this? What do we do in the case of something like this?"

Decades later, Press Your Luck continues to thrive through reruns and revivals. Its ranking among the greatest game shows ever reflects not just nostalgia but innovation, combining know-how, luck, and personality into a formula that continues to captivate audiences today.

Best-selling romance author Ana Huang has officially revealed that her popular sports romance series Gods of the Game is being turned into a movie trilogy under Amazon MGM Studios.

The adaptation will bring all three books in the series to the big screen: The Striker, The Defender and the upcoming The Keeper, which is scheduled for release on Oct. 10.

The story follows connected romance plots set inside the fast-moving and high-pressure world of English Premier League soccer.

Amazon MGM Studios has secured rights to develop three films based on the series, marking a major expansion of Huang’s growing entertainment universe. The project is also being produced in partnership with Premeditated Productions, known for adapting several popular fantasy and romance titles for screen.

Huang broke the news directly to fans through an emotional Instagram post where she wrote:

“I’ve been sitting on this for a bit, but I’m so happy I can finally share some HUGE news with you: the Gods of the Game series is getting adapted into movies!”

She continued by confirming her creative involvement in the project:

Huang also highlighted her role behind the scenes, sharing:

“It’s truly surreal that I get to executive produce movies based on my books, and I don’t take that privilege for granted. Thank you so much for being here and for making these dreams possible. I am beyond lucky to have readers like you 💗”

She also reminded fans that casting has not been decided yet and warned readers not to believe unofficial updates unless they come from verified studio or author accounts.

The Gods of the Game series is built around emotional, character-driven love stories set in the world of elite soccer. Each book focuses on different characters connected through the fictional Blackcastle universe, blending romance, rivalry and ambition.

The films are expected to follow the same structure, adapting the interconnected stories from The Striker and The Defender, while building toward The Keeper, which will conclude the trilogy’s narrative arc.

The production team includes experienced producers working across both film and audiobook divisions. According to industry details, the project also connects with Audible, which previously distributed the audiobook versions of the series.

Ana Huang is widely known for her romance novels that gained massive popularity on BookTok and bestseller lists worldwide. She has sold millions of copies across multiple series, including Twisted Love and Kings of Sin, and continues to release new titles each year.

Her success has already led to other screen adaptations, including separate projects based on her romance catalog. With Gods of the Game, Huang expands further into sports romance storytelling, combining emotional relationships with professional athletic competition.

While excitement is building around the trilogy, official casting has not yet been announced. Huang emphasized that fans should only trust updates from verified accounts belonging to Amazon MGM Studios or herself.

Development is currently underway, with production companies preparing early-stage planning for the three-film structure. No release dates for the movies have been confirmed yet.

After a season of Blind Auditions, Battles, Knockouts, and Semifinals, The Voice: Battle of Champions finale performances by the Top 4 -- Alexia Jayy, Liv Ciara, Lucas West, or Mikenley Brown -- took place tonight, with each artist doing an up-tempo song and a ballad.

In what might've been a surprising move for film fans, the cult classic art film Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles has been ranked the “Greatest Film of All Time” by Sight and Sound, topping the latest edition of the publication’s prestigious critics’ list.

Released in 1975, the film was directed by Belgian filmmaker Chantal Akerman and stars Delphine Seyrig in the title role. The drama centers on Seyrig as a widowed mother living in Brussels who methodically carries out her daily routines, such as cooking meals, cleaning her apartment and caring for her son. Meanwhile, she secretly engages in sex work to make ends meet.

The movie follows her story at a slow pace over three days, and it's known for its long takes and experimental camera work. Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles also has quite a long runtime, coming in at 201 minutes.

The ranking comes from Sight and Sound’s once-in-a-decade poll, widely considered one of the most authoritative surveys in the film world. Organized by the British Film Institute, the list gathers votes from hundreds of critics, programmers and academics across the globe.

The most recent edition, released in 2022, marked a significant shift, as there was a deliberately more diverse voting body included to help elevate films that had previously been under-recognized.

Past winners of the poll have included towering classics like Citizen Kane and Vertigo, making Jeanne Dielman’s ascent all the more notable. It also represents a historic milestone, as it's the first film directed by a woman to claim the top spot in the poll’s history. In the 2022 edition, Vertigo took second place, while Citizen Kane came in third.

In the 2022 directors' poll of greatest films, Jeanne Dielman took fourth place, with 2001: A Space Odyssey taking the top position. In comparison, in the main critics' list, the Stanley Kubrick-directed film took sixth place.

The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum has unveiled its main cast, though one character will look quite different to longtime fans of the franchise.

In a major recast, Warner Bros. Pictures announced during CinemaCon on Tuesday, April 14, that Jamie Dornan will take on the role of Strider, the chief of the Northern Dúnedain Rangers who was later revealed to be Aragorn. The character was played by Viggo Mortensen in the original trilogy, which included 2001’s The Fellowship of the Ring, 2002’s The Two Towers and 2003’s The Return of the King.

While some fans might be reluctant to accept the casting change, the move is seemingly necessary since the spinoff serves as a prequel to the trilogy’s first installment. The upcoming film takes place between the events of the Hobbit trilogy—2012’s An Unexpected Journey, 2013’s The Desolation of Smaug and 2014’s The Battle of the Five Armies—and The Fellowship of the Ring.

Set to be released in theaters on Dec. 17, 2027, The Hunt for Gollum centers around the titular Hobbit’s past and Strider’s search for the character then known as Sméagol.

Although Mortensen was recast for the spinoff, several key cast members from the franchise will reprise their roles in The Hunt for Gollum. Among those confirmed to return are Ian McKellen as Gandalf, Elijah Wood as Frodo Baggins, Andy Serkis (who is also directing the franchise’s latest installment) as Gollum/Sméagol and Lee Pace as Thranduil.

Dornan, 43, will not be the only new face in the film, though. Newcomers Kate Winslet and Leo Woodall are set to play matriarch Marigol and Strider’s fellow Dúnedain Halvard, respectively.

After Serkis, 61, confirmed plans to recast Strider for The Hunt for Gollum earlier this month, The Hollywood Reporter pointed out that while Mortensen, now 67, was 40 years old when he shot his first Lord of the Rings film, his human character in the upcoming spinoff is supposed to be younger than he was in The Fellowship of the Ring. The timeline potentially made Mortensen a hard sell for the new project given Strider’s seemingly major role.

Meanwhile, the outlet speculated that McKellen, now 86, could likely still pass for Gandalf since he was already made to look much older than his age of 60 at the time of the first film and his face is partially hidden beneath his beard, wig and prosthetic nose. As for Wood, now 45, his likely minor role could allow for de-aging if necessary, according to the report.

Mortensen, for his part, previously weighed in on the prospect of returning as Aragorn in a May 2024 GQ interview.

“Sure. I don’t know exactly what the story is, I haven’t heard. Maybe I’ll hear about it eventually,” he said of The Hunt for Gollum at the time. “I like playing that character. I learned a lot playing the character. I enjoyed it a lot. I would only do it if I was right for it in terms of, you know, the age I am now and so forth. I would only do it if I was right for the character. It would be silly to do it otherwise.”

It's former Dawson's Creek stars Joshua Jackson, 47, and Katie Holmes, 47, on the red carpet for the gala screening of Brunello: The Gracious Visionary, a documentary on the life and vision of fashion designer Brunello Cucinelli. Both actors were looking good and all smiles and [checks notes] single last we checked ...

Holmes tends to avoid lots of press these days, but she popped up at a fashion event in Manhattan yesterday, and now today she's giving Dawson's Creek fans the warm and fuzzies in this red carpet mini reunion with Jackson.

Jackson wore a handsome burgundy jack and a gray bowtie and slacks (to match his gorgeous gray hair) on the red carpet. Holmes has a freshly chopped lob and wore a sparkly maxi skirt, perfectly styled with a white button-up draped off one shoulder. Together they looked relaxed and joyful.

Since summer, Jackson and Holmes have been seen filming together on and off around Manhattan, too. They're working on the upcoming Happy Hours trilogy, which Holmes wrote, directed, and stars in alongside Jackson, Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, and others.

According to IMDB, Happy Hours follows former sweethearts who "cross paths years later and rekindle their connection, balancing careers, family duties, and personal dreams while rediscovering what they once had—and what they could become."

Um, did someone just turn up the temp in here? This film. With these two stars. Together. Sounds so good.

The '60s were an incredibly important decade for just about every genre of music, but some of the most influential tunes of the decade came from the era's famous girl groups. From The Supremes to The Shirelles to The Shangri-Las, these pop music pioneers were behind so many of the songs that have become part of the soundtrack of our lives...including one track that hits just as hard now as it did over half a century ago.

Produced by the legendary (and infamous) producer Phil Spector in his trademark Wall of Sound style, "Be My Baby" was released as The Ronettes' first single in 1963 and went on to peak at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. But that was just the beginning for the classic, later ranked by Billboard as the #1 "Greatest Girl-Group Song of All Time."

What makes "Be My Baby" so special, in part, is "a drum intro iconic enough to provide the ultimate through-line in the decades of popular recordings since, so regularly quoted that it’s gone past the point of cliché to just being an essential part of the cultural language," as Billboard's Andrew Unterberger wrote, adding, "It’s nothing less than the heartbeat of American pop music, pumping blood and vitality into future generations."

Interestingly enough, that drum intro started out as an accident.

"I was supposed to play the snare on the second beat as well as the fourth, but I dropped a stick,” drummer Hal Blainetold the Guardian in 2015.

Apparently, there were no other "accidents" that made it to the final version of the song, as Phil reportedly demanded 42 takes before he was content with the result.

"Recording it took forever. I rehearsed in New York with the Ronettes, then I had to go to California on my own to sing the lead," Ronnie Spector told the Guardian. "My mom usually flew with me but because it was so far she said: 'Honey, you’re 18. You can do this on your own now.' Phil picked me up at the airport and kept saying: 'This record is going to be amazing.'"

Of course, Phil was right. Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys called it the "greatest record ever produced," telling theNew York Times in 2013 that he "felt like I wanted to try to do something as good as that song and I never did" (he originally wrote "Don't Worry Baby" for Ronnie to sing, but Phil rejected it).

In an interview with Billboard, producer Rick Nowels (who sampled "Be My Baby" for the Lana Del Rey song "Lust For Life"), called The Ronettes' track "Ground Zero for the modern pop era."

"It was a line in the sand that left everything that came before in the rear-view mirror," Nowels said. "It was the beginning of pop music being a serious American art form. Like they say, Phil Spector created symphonies for kids — he’s still my number one role model for a great production...Hal Blaine, the 'Be My Baby' drummer — he’s the drummer Ringo looks up to."

Clearly, all those takes in the studio paid off in the long run.

In 1972, The Rolling Stones released a song that would remain a listener favorite for decades.

"Tumbling Dice" was previously ranked among Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Songs of All Time," when it initially came out in 2004. The accolade placed it among the most celebrated recordings ever made. Its electric sound and gritty energy helped it stand out immediately, becoming one of the band's most recognizable and enduring tracks.

Released on April 14, 1972, "Tumbling Dice" served as the lead single from Exile on Main St., one of the band's most acclaimed albums. The song became a major hit, reaching No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 5 on the U.K. singles chart. It also gained attention as the only single from Exile on Main St. to crack the U.S. Top 10.

Part of what made "Tumbling Dice" so timeless was its loose, swaggering groove and its layered production. Written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, the track captured the Stones at a peak moment, blending rock, blues and a ragged sense of cool that helped define their sound. Over time, the song has remained a favorite among fans and is often considered one of the band's strongest works.

Jagger later reflected on the song's creation in an interview with uDiscover Music, sharing, "I had the theme for it. I didn't know anything about dice playing, but I knew lots of jargon used by dice players. I'd heard gamblers in casinos shouting it out. I asked my housekeeper if she played dice. She did, and she told me these terms. That was the inspiration."

The Rolling Stones had already established themselves as one of the biggest bands in the world by the early 1970s, but "Tumbling Dice" helped reinforce their lasting position.

Decades after its release, the song is recognized not only as a hit from its time but as one of the most highlighted recordings in rock history. Its frequent placement on Rolling Stone and many other publications' 'best' lists reflects how strongly it continues to resonate more than fifty years later.

Jennifer Aniston welcomed Sandra Bullock to Instagram in the most iconic way.

"Someone we really all love very much just joined Instagram..." Aniston shared via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, April 14. The Friends star added a red heart, a pointing emoji, and a face with one eye peeking behind its hands.

It's hard to name a novel that has captured the absurdity of war quite like Catch-22.

The iconic work by Joseph Heller has been ranked among the "best books of all time" on Goodreads, based on votes from readers. The recognition highlights the novel's lasting relevance and its impact as one of the most influential works of 20th-century literature.

First published in 1961, Catch-22 follows Captain John Yossarian, a U.S. Army Air Forces bombardier stationed in the Mediterranean during World War II. As Yossarian tries to maintain his sanity amid the chaos of war, he is confronted by a bureaucratic paradox known as “Catch-22," a rule that makes it impossible to escape dangerous missions. The novel's nonlinear structure and dark humor underscore its central critique of authority, logic and the absurd nature of war.

The book came to Heller seemingly out of thin air in a moment of what can only be described as divine inspiration.

"I was lying in bed in my four-room apartment on the West Side when suddenly this line came to me: 'It was love at first sight. The first time he saw the chaplain, Someone fell madly in love with him.' I didn't have the name Yossarian," Heller told The Paris Review. "The chaplain wasn't necessarily an army chaplain—he could have been a prison chaplain. But as soon as the opening sentence was available, the book began to evolve clearly in my mind—even most of the particulars . . . the tone, the form, many of the characters, including some I eventually couldn't use."

Heller's epiphany took place in only an hour and a half. "It got me so excited that I did what the cliché says you’re supposed to do: I jumped out of bed and paced the floor. That morning I went to my job at the advertising agency and wrote out the first chapter in longhand. Before the end of the week I had typed it out and sent it to Candida Donadio, my agent. One year later, after much planning, I began chapter two."

Praised for its biting satire and unforgettable characters, the book introduced a phrase that has since entered everyday language. Its exploration of power, survival and individual resistance continues to resonate with readers across generations.

The novel was adapted into the film Catch-22, directed by Mike Nichols and featuring a cast that included Alan Arkin. While the film took on the challenge of translating the book's complex narrative and tone, it remains a notable interpretation that brought Heller's story to a wider audience.

Kat Von D is keeping the momentum going following the success of her passion project, Black Tulip Field.

The gothic-inspired floral attraction, located at the LA Ink star’s historic 1874 Second Empire-style home in Vevay, Indiana, has captured widespread attention, drawing a large number of visitors to the small town.

As the black tulip season came to a close, the Mexican-born tattoo artist delivered a special message to the visitors and fans who came out to experience it firsthand.

“Our beautiful tulip season is officially over and my black tulip field is closed for the season, but I wanted to take a moment just to say thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed the flowers and brought life into our very small town,” she said in an Instagram post.

Moreover, she expressed how the annual event helps boost their community of around 12,000 people.

“Having this amount of love and support coming through, even if it's just once a year, really helps our community,” the reality star shared. “I talked to a lot of restaurant owners and the businesses and stores around our town and said that the energy was amazing. You guys all came out and supported and it was actually meaningful.”

As she continued to express her gratitude for everyone who showed their interest and appreciation for her passion project, despite it just being a “little black tulip field with not a lot of smoke and mirrors or gimmick stuff,” she said it means the world to her.

With the success of Kat Von D’s passion project, she has hinted at what visitors and fans can look forward to next year.

“I have some really cool ideas for how to make the experience even more fun,” she teased fans, adding, “I hope you guys still come back and see them again next year.”

The field, with approximately 15,000 "Queen of the Night" tulips, was in full bloom from early to mid-April and was open to the public during that time.

The renowned tattoo artist and beauty mogul, who is also an avid gardener, started the Black Tulip Field in November 2023, with its first public bloom taking place in April 2024.

According to Local 12, this will be the second time since 2023 that Vevay has earned the USA Today Readers’ Choice Award for Best Small Town in the Midwest, finishing ahead of 19 others.

Rumors had been swirling about a death on Will Trent, but the person everyone suspected might die was Angie Polaski (Erika Christensen). That turned out to not be the case. Rather, it was Will’s (Ramón Rodríguez) boss Amanda Wagner (Sonja Sohn), who met her demise.

Amanda had been near death previously. She was shot in the Season 3 finale, protecting Angie during a hostage situation at the GBI, but she pulled through with that, although she walked with a cane. But this time around, the grim reaper was not to be denied.

In "The Blank Expanse of Nothing" episode, it turned out that Amanda uncovered FBI warnings about James Ulster's (Greg Germann) daughter Adelaide Trevens (Mallory Jansen) and a mysterious “Commander” figure linked to Will.

In a previous episode, Will had met up with a young man connected to Adelaide, who was known as The Commander, and in this episode, Amanda found him and tailed him, hoping it would help lead her to clues about Will’s Uncle Antonio’s (John Ortiz) location. But the tables were turned on her, and she was surprised by an unseen assailant.

Meanwhile, Adelaide invited Will to meet her at a bar, and she told him that she left him a gift around the corner. The gift was Amanda’s dead body. She had been stabbed to death.

In an interview with Variety, series showrunners Liz Heldens, Daniel T. Thomsen and Karine Rosenthal told the outlet that Amanda’s death “sets off a chain of events that is going to take us to the end of the season.”

“Amanda has been the character who has protected Will for as long as she has known him,” Rosenthal said. “So this gives us the opportunity for a completely new dynamic in the GBI, because her replacement will not have that same relationship with Will. Her death had the most impact on the most amount of characters. It really sets everybody reeling from this enormous loss. So, it’s such a reset for our characters in a way that is painful but exciting for Season 5.”

Heldens added that this might not be the last time we see Amanda. There is always the possibility of a flashback or a fantasy in Will’s mind.

“That’s always a little of a comfort that we have a mechanism by which we could bring people back if Will needs to work something out,” Heldens said.

Actress and musician Jackie Tohn teased what's coming in Nobody Wants This Season 3 and shared additional insights into other projects and partnerships she currently has in the works.

Season 3 of the fan-favorite Netflix show is officially in production, and although there's currently no confirmed release date, fans are eager to see what happens next, especially for Tohn's character, Esther. The Season 2 finale of Nobody Wants Thisrevealed that Esther and her husband, Sasha (Timothy Simons) are taking a break, which means a major narrative shift for both characters.

Of the upcoming season, Tohn shared, "A lot of our Season 3 guest stars were announced, so we're going to have Sarah Silverman on the show this season. We're going to have Andrew Rannells on the show this season. Erin Foster herself will be guesting. So that's really exciting."

"In Season 2, Esther was really given the opportunity to, I don't know, be a lot more multidimensional than she was in Season 1...But at the end of Season 2, she and Sasha go on this break, so Season 3 is just going to be a whole new journey for her, you know? She's trying to figure out who she is outside of being a wife and a mother," Tohn said.

Tohn also spoke very highly of her Nobody Wants This castmates.

"They're such dreams," she said. "I'm just in a really lucky place where I'm doing—I have little chills, and I don't know if it's braggadocious, so it makes me a little nervous to say—but to get to work on things and with people that you want to work with and be around, as a person who truly didn't get to do that for the majority of my career. I was just hustling and traveling everywhere and had a guitar on my back and just got any gig I could get."

Among the projects Tohn is enthusiastic about is her current partnership with Dawn, particularly highlighting Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray and its ability to clean even daunting, stuck-on messes.

About the collaboration, Tohn said, "I'm so excited about my partnership with Dawn. I only partner with companies that I actually utilize, and I've been a Dawn girly forever. Somehow, and this is embarrassing, I was sleeping on Powerwash. I was just using Dawn dish soap for everything."

Tohn continued, "When we were talking about maybe working together, I was talking to my reps, and I was like, I'm already in; I already use Dawn...I love these guys, and I love the product, so it was kind of a no-brainer."

Tohn said that she especially finds the product useful when making kugel, including sweet noodle kugel, which she often makes for Jewish holidays.

"That's a three-day soak. It's not a 24 hour soak. That's like, you do the 24 hours, then you scrub it, then you do it again. And I recently made a kugel. I do the Dawn Powerwash; I feel like the heroine in a movie when you spray it. And I know you're supposed to do one long spray, because I was taught by people very high up at Dawn, if you don't mind," Tohn joked.

She went on, "So you don't do little weird spritzes. You do a full nice long spray all across the kugel pan—also known as a lasagna pan—and, truly, you just wait. And then when all the little suds go away, you rinse it, and you're like, 'How? How did that just go away?'"

For Tohn, both her partnership with Dawn and her upcoming season of Nobody Wants This reflect the current place she's in.

Tohn said, "To be in a place where I get to work with these incredible people and work with this incredible brand, it's just like, can I say it feels very good and beats the alternative?"

Considering Aerosmith is one of the most successful and popular rock bands in history, one might assume that at least a few of their hit songs went all the way to #1 on the Billboard charts. Interestingly, though, that's not the case: Aerosmith has only had one #1 single over the course of their decades-long career, and it didn't come along until 1998. Not only that, but the tune wasn't even written for them in the first place.

Released in 1998, "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" was the theme song for the sci-fi blockbuster Armageddon, starring Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Bruce Willis and, of course, Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler's daughter, Liv Tyler. The sweeping, emotional ballad debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the first Aerosmith song to achieve such a milestone, and it reigned supreme for four weeks.

Not bad for a song that was originally intended for somebody like...Celine Dion.

As legendary songwriter Diane Warren told Short List, she definitely wasn't thinking of Aerosmith when she wrote "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing."

“When I wrote it I thought it would end up being like Celine Dion or somebody like that,” she said, going on to explain that she was inspired to write the song by an interview with James Brolin where the actor admitted he doesn't like falling asleep because he worries about missing his wife, Barbara Streisand.

“I kept it in the back of my head and when that movie came round I thought, ‘You know, I’m gonna write this song because it could be about the end of the world — it could fit that storyline or it could fit this love story,’” Warren said.

Even if she originally had a very different type of voice in mind for "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing," Warren ended up being pleasantly surprised by the Aerosmith version, particularly Tyler's delivery of the line: "Don’t want to close my eyes / I don’t want to fall asleep / ’Cause I’d miss you baby / And I don’t want to miss a thing"

“What was so cool about when Aerosmith did it, when Steven Tyler sang it, it became a different thing,” she said. “It’s so much cooler to hear someone like Steven Tyler – this gruff, macho rock star, this amazing tough guy — for him to say that lyric, it just brought a whole other dimension to it. I don’t think it would have been the same hit, or the same standard if it wasn’t for someone like Steven Tyler doing that song.”

Indeed, in the years since it was released, it seems fan affection for the song has only grown stronger. "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" has over one billion streams on Spotify alone and was ranked "Best Power Ballad Ever" by Classic Rock.

"It’s a poignant epic characterized by one of Steven Tyler’s most impassioned performances," raved the CR article. "He takes an essentially wimpy song and transforms it into one of soul-searing grandeur via some feral vocal pyrotechnics (‘Forever, forever… and E-E-E-EVER!’). Ms Warren — more at home with the likes of Celine Dion and Whitney Houston — must’ve been awestruck by this interpretation of her song. In literary terms, the Boys From Boston transformed a chaste romantic novel into a steamy bodice-ripper."

And that's how Aerosmith ended up with their very first #1.
