‘80s Icon Reacts to Margot Robbie Recreating Her Classic Music Video From 25 Years Ago
Kylie Minogue couldn't be prouder as her iconic music video gets a charming revival featuring Margot Robbie.
The music icon defined the early 2000s era with her catchy dance hits and visually striking music videos that set creative standards, among them the smash hit “Come Into My World.”
Released in 2002, fans were treated to an artistic creation by director Michel Gondry, as the music video features the iconic looping sequence of the pop star walking around an intersection in Paris.
Twenty-four years later, Chanel paid tribute to the groundbreaking music video, recreating the signature concept for its Spring 2025 campaign starring its longtime brand ambassador, Margot Robbie.

In the latest campaign video, the Barbie star struts through the streets wearing a beige and gold Chanel tweed jacket. Echoing Kylie Minogue's music video, Robbie is seen crossing the street multiple times, but this time carrying a Chanel 25 bag in a range of colors.
The campaign also features a familiar face, with the award-winning singer making a brief cameo.
“Starring Margot Robbie and directed by Michel Gondry, the film of the CHANEL 25 campaign unfolds as a contemporary take on Kylie Minogue’s video ‘Come Into My World.’ The pop icon herself makes a special appearance in the film, 25 years after the release of her track,” Chanel mentioned on their YouTube post.
As for the Australian singer, she took to social media, expressing her joy at reliving the magic of her 2002 music video while teaming up with Chanel.
“Chanel! Margot! Michel! Me. What an experience bringing back all of the ‘Come Into My World’ music video feels! #Chanel25,” the caption reads.
View this post on InstagramFans flooded the comment section with support and excitement over the nostalgic tribute.
“Oh Godlie, the influential icon that you are…” one wrote.
“This is everything!” a commenter said.
“So beautiful!!!! This is epic,” a follower echoed.
Besides the comments saying how “iconic” this is, fans were surprised by the unexpected team-up, with one noting, “Omg a 2026 version of ‘Come Into My World’ video wasn’t on my bingo card.”
“The endorphins that hit me when I saw this as soon as I opened my eyes this morning!! Well done, ladies,” another added.

U.S. Skier Lindsey Vonn Announces Personal Update After Several Surgeries
Just over a month after a terrifying Olympic crash, Lindsey Vonn is showing real signs of progress.
The American skiing icon shared a new workout video on Instagram, giving fans a hopeful look at her recovery after multiple surgeries.
In the clip, Vonn performs six unassisted pull-ups, an impressive milestone considering the severity of her injuries. After completing the set, she carefully steps down, returns to her crutches and celebrates with a fist bump from her trainer.
“First set of pull ups post surgery… slowly getting there!” she wrote in the caption.

The update marks a big moment in Vonn’s healing journey, following a crash that nearly cost her leg.
The accident happened on Feb. 8 during the women’s downhill event at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. Just 13 seconds into her run, Vonn clipped a gate and crashed hard down the slope. She was quickly airlifted to a hospital in Italy.
View this post on InstagramDoctors later confirmed she suffered several serious injuries, including a complex tibia fracture, fibular head fracture, tibial plateau fracture and compartment syndrome, a dangerous condition that can block blood flow.
To save her leg, surgeons performed emergency procedures, including a fasciotomy. Over a short period, Vonn underwent multiple surgeries, including a six-hour operation. At one point, the situation became so severe that amputation was a real risk.
She later credited her doctor for saving her leg, calling the outcome life-changing.
The physical pain was intense. Vonn shared that she needed a blood transfusion to help stabilize her condition.
“I was really struggling. Pain was a little bit out of control,” she admitted at the time.
Vonn’s journey to the Olympics was already filled with challenges. Just days before the Games, she tore her ACL during a World Cup race in Switzerland. Still, she pushed forward and competed, showing the determination that has defined her career.
Her 2025 season had been remarkable. After coming out of nearly six years of retirement, she became the oldest downhill World Cup winner and earned multiple podium finishes. She even climbed back to the top of the rankings, something few expected.
That’s why the crash felt like such a heartbreaking end. Now, as she continues rehab, questions remain about her future in skiing. At 41, Vonn knows time is a factor, but she hasn’t ruled anything out.
When one social media user suggested she retire, she responded clearly: “Who said I was retiring?”
Still, she has also asked for patience as she focuses on healing. “No, I’m not ready to discuss my future in skiing,” she wrote in a recent post. “Only time will tell.”
No, I’m not ready to discuss my future in skiing. My focus has been on recovering from my injury and getting back to normal life. I was already retired for 6 years and have an amazing life outside of skiing. It was incredible to be #1 in the world again at 41 years old and set…
— lindsey vonn (@lindseyvonn) March 15, 2026For now, her focus is simple: recovery and returning to normal life.
Vonn has been sharing small wins along the way, from riding a stationary bike for a few minutes to moving around her home on a three-wheeled scooter she calls “Speedy.” Each step, no matter how small, shows her steady progress.

1989 Career-Defining Classic Written as a Tribute to Elvis Presley Was a No. 1 Hit 36 Years Ago
36 years ago today, on March 24, 1990, Alannah Myles’ soft rock song “Black Velvet” topped the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart, where it held the No. 1 spot for two weeks.
Released in the summer of 1989, the timeless track served as the second single from the singer’s eponymous debut album, Alannah Myles, in her native Canada, but was her debut single in the United States. Written by Myles’ then-boyfriend Christopher Ward and producer and fellow tunesmith David Tyson, “Black Velvet” pays a poetic tribute to Elvis Presley’s vocal stylings, Southern heritage, brand of rock ‘n’ roll, and larger-than-life image.
The verses walk listeners through the King of Rock and Roll’s story from childhood to superstar to his untimely death. But the chorus describes his trademark looks, iconic dance moves, and deep, baritone vocals described as smooth as velvet.
“The boy could sing, knew how to move, everything / Always wanting more, he'd leave you longing for / Black velvet and that little boy's smile / Black velvet with that slow southern style / A new religion that'll bring ya to your knees / Black velvet if you please,” Myles belts out the lyrics of the mellow, sway-worthy classic, which earned her a 1991 Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance and a Juno Award for Single of the Year months prior.
The Song Was Her Sole No. 1 in the USAlong with reaching the top of the Hot 100 chart, the beloved song, which became Myles’ biggest hit in the US, also took the top spot on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart.
“Black Velvet” was an international hit, resonating with listeners in Sweden, Switzerland, and Norway, among other countries. The blues-rock ballad also became a Top 10 hit in Canada, where it sold 1.2 million copies, earning Myles the title as the first female artist to achieve Diamond Status, according to torontoguardian.com.
Interestingly, Myles wasn’t the only artist to release “Black Velvet.” Around the same time she took the tune to the top of the charts, Atlantic label mate and country artist Robin Lee dropped a version for country radio. The tune, which appeared on Lee’s album of the same name, rose to No. 12 on the US Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.

'Stranger Things' Star Says Taylor Swift Influenced Her Music: 'She Inspired a Generation'
Stranger Things star Maya Hawke cites pop sensation Taylor Swift as one of her biggest musical inspirations.
In a Thursday, March 19 interview with Rolling Stone, Hawke admired Swift for making a, "generation of young people listen to music and think, ‘Oh, my life could matter.' 'My feelings could matter and the details of it could matter, my personal stories.'"
She continued, "Of course, it's a Chekhovian thing, but I was hugely influenced by her."
Hawke, whose album Maitreya Corso, is releasing on Friday, May 1, expressed in the Rolling Stone interview that she has been listening to Swift her entire life.
"You could start any song from any word and I would be able to know where you were and finish it probably," she said.
Hawke also said in the past that she was able to turn her dad, Ethan Hawke, into a Swiftie too after playing him the song "Ours" from Swift's album Speak Now.
"It took me a long while to be able to show him something he didn't already know about," she said back in Oct. 2022. "'Ours' was the first Taylor Swift song that I played for him on guitar. He told me he thought it was a really good song, and I was like, 'Oh, my God, I just brought something to my dad that he didn't know, and he likes — and I like!' It made me feel so confident."
Hawke has released three studio albums Blush (2020), MOSS (2022), and Chaos Angel (2024).
‘Rage-Booking’ Is the Newest Travel Trend for 2026— Here Are the Best Places To Escape To
If you’ve ever slammed your laptop shut after a stressful workday and immediately started browsing flights, you’re not alone; you’re actually part of one of 2026’s fastest-growing travel trends: rage-booking.
This emotionally driven behavior is reshaping how and why people travel. A recent study from Faye showed that "52% of U.S. travelers are currently experiencing burnout, and nearly one in three are booking vacations to deal with it."
Related: Major Airline Offers Spring Flights Starting at $59
What Is Rage-Booking?Rage-booking refers to the impulsive act of booking a trip in response to stress, frustration, or emotional overload. Instead of carefully planning a vacation months in advance, travelers are making snap decisions in moments of burnout or even anger.
According to recent travel industry research from Faye, rage-booking is part of what people are calling the “emotional travel economy,” where trips are motivated less by bucket lists and more by the need for relief and escape.
In simple terms: people aren’t just traveling for fun anymore, but they’re traveling to cope.
The Burnout Behind the TrendPeople are feeling burn out due to many different stressors, including:
- 61% cite financial anxiety
- 54% blame the economy
- 43% point to politics
- 41% say the news cycle is overwhelming
- 38% say their job is a major contributor
Younger generations are feeling it the most. Faye's research also found that, "around 74% of Gen Z and 69% of Millennials report burnout, significantly higher than older generations."
And here’s where it gets interesting: This burnout is directly influencing spending behavior. Indulge found from a survey of travelers that, "about 32% of travelers say they’ve booked trips specifically to recover from stress, and many admit those decisions were made impulsively in emotionally charged moments. "
In other words, burnout isn’t just a feeling; it’s fueling the travel economy.

Why Travel Feels Like the FixSo why are people turning to travel instead of, say, therapy or a long weekend at home?Psychologically, booking a trip offers something powerful: control. It’s an immediate action that creates distance, physically and mentally, from whatever is causing stress.
Travel also delivers what everyday life often lacks: novelty, freedom, and a break from routine. In a world of constant notifications and pressure, getting on a plane feels like hitting a reset button.
Where to Go When You’re Burned OutNot all trips are created equal, especially when the goal is recovery. If you’re feeling the urge to rage-book, choosing the right destination can make all the difference.
1. Nature Escapes (for mental reset): Think mountains, forests, or national parks. Destinations like Colorado, Vermont, or even a quiet lakeside cabin offer space to unplug and decompress.
2. Beach Destinations (for low-effort relaxation): If decision fatigue is part of your burnout, keep it simple. Beach destinations like Florida, Mexico, or the Caribbean allow you to do less, which is the whole point. Sun, water, and minimal planning can go a long way.
3. Wellness Retreats (for structured recovery): For deeper burnout, consider places focused on wellness, such as yoga retreats, spa resorts, or digital detox getaways. These trips provide built-in structure for rest, which can be helpful when you’re too exhausted to plan your own recovery.
4. Solo City Breaks (for a sense of control): Sometimes burnout comes from feeling stuck. A quick solo trip to a walkable city, like New York, Boston, or Chicago, can restore a sense of independence and spontaneity without requiring a long time commitment.
Rage-booking might sound impulsive and even reckless, but it’s actually a reflection of something deeper: a generation pushed to its limits and looking for relief wherever it can find it.
Travel has become more than a luxury. For many, it’s a coping mechanism, a reset button, and a form of self-care all rolled into one. The key is to channel that impulse wisely. Because while booking a flight in a moment of frustration might feel good, choosing the right kind of trip is what actually helps you come back better.

1977 Hit Ranked Among 'Greatest Songs of All Time' Was Released 49 Years Ago Today
"Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac was released 49 years ago today!
On Mar. 24, 1977 the iconic rock band released the track as the second single from their eleventh studio album Rumours.
The album was recorded during a time of great upheaval for the band. Mick Fleetwood was going through a divorce, Christine McVie and John McVie were separating, and Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks had ended their eight-year relationship.
“We had to go through this elaborate exercise of denial,” Buckingham told Blender magazine in 2005. “Keeping our personal feelings in one corner of the room while trying to be professional in the other.”
However, the band's true feelings surfaced in the songs they were writing—most notably, "Dreams."
Nicks wrote the song in early 1976 at Record Plant studio in Sausalito, California.
"One day when I wasn't required in the main studio, I took a Fender Rhodes piano and went into another studio that was said to belong to Sly Stone, of Sly and the Family Stone," Nicks explained to Blender. "It was a black-and-red room, with a sunken pit in the middle where there was a piano, and a big black-velvet bed with Victorian drapes."
"I sat down on the bed with my keyboard in front of me," she continued. "I found a drum pattern, switched my little cassette player on and wrote 'Dreams' in about 10 minutes. Right away I liked the fact that I was doing something with a dance beat, because that made it a little unusual for me."
RELATED: 2001 Hit Ranked ‘Greatest Song of the 21st Century’ Turns 25 Years Old Today
“Dreams” offers a raw, introspective reflection of Nicks’ breakup with Buckingham, as told from her perspective. The song acts as a counterpoint to "Go Your Own Way," Buckingham’s much angrier take on their split.
“Even though ‘Go Your Own Way’ was a little angry, it was also honest,” Nicks wrote in the liner notes in the Rumours reissue in 2013. “So then I wrote ‘Dreams,’ and because I’m the chiffony chick who believes in fairies and angels, and Lindsey is a hardcore guy, it comes out differently. Lindsey is saying go ahead and date other men and go live your crappy life, and [I’m] singing about the rain washing you clean. We were coming at it from opposite angles, but we were really saying the same exact thing.”

"Dreams" sold more than one million copies and reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 on June 18, 1977.
In 2020, the song experienced a widespread resurgence in popularity as a result of a viral TikTok trend. "Dreams" subsequently re-entered the charts in multiple countries for the first time since its initial release.
"Dreams" was also ranked No. 9 on Rolling Stone's list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" in 2021.
"'Dreams' would become the band’s only U.S. chart topper," Rolling Stone wrote in their review. "And it would continue to enchant new generations—and even return to the charts—for decades to come."
1966 B-Side Became a Greatest Hit for the ‘Greatest American Rock Band’
In 1966, The Beach Boys released their game-changing album, Pet Sounds.
The critically acclaimed record was a complete departure from the guys’ signature sound. Trading easy, breezy surf rock for a more experimental, melancholic, and emotional vibe, Pet Sounds was and still is a progressive masterpiece.
View this post on Instagram A Conceptual Masterwork“From first cut to last we were treated to an intense, linear personal vision of the vagaries of a love affair and the painful, introverted anxieties that are the wrenching precipitates of the unstable chemistry of any love relationship,” Rolling Stone writes about the ablum.
“This trenchant cycle of love songs has the emotional impact of a shatteringly evocative novel, and by God if this little record didn’t change only the course of popular music, but the course of a few lives in the bargain. It sure as hell changed its creator, Brian, who by 1966 had been cruising along at the forefront of American popular music for four years, doling out a constant river of hit songs and producing that tough yet mellifluous sound that was the only intelligent innovation in pop music between Chuck Berry and The Beatles.”
Considered one of the first concept albums, Pet Sounds was primarily composed, arranged, and produced by Beach Boy Brian Wilson. He had help with the lyrics from Tony Asher, a lyricist who originally wrote jingles for Mattel toys and Max Factor cosmetics, per the BBC.
“It's fair to say that the general tenor of the lyrics was always his and the actual choice of words was usually mine. I was really just his interpreter," Asher said.
The A-side of the record is full of hits: “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Sloop John B,” and “I’m Waiting for the Day,” but it’s the B-side that really defines the album.
From B-Side to Greatest HitWritten as a companion piece to “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “God Only Knows” was a flip-side track that was never supposed to become a hit “but somehow took over the radio” anyway. According toAmerican Songwriter, the track was not only worthy of the airwaves, but was the most “beautiful song of its time.”
“Even Brian Wilson himself said that this song was his finest piece of work,” the publication writes. “And yet, it was tacked onto the B-side of ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’ instead of allowed to shine on its own.”
Released on July 18, 1966, the song is full of fascinating history. For one, Wilson thought his use of the word “God” would be considered too religious to be played on the radio.
“I was scared they'd ban playing it on the radio because of the title,” he said, per the BBC. And, well, he was right. The song was banned in some areas, mainly in the American South, but “it generally escaped censorship.”
Something else interesting is that Wilson was the original lead vocalist on the track, but handed over singing duties to his brother and fellow Beach Boy Carl Wilson, whose smooth and crystal-clear tenor was more suited to the complexities of the tune.
A Favorite of Paul McCartney'sPerhaps the most enduring anecdote tied to the song involves The Beatles’ Paul McCartney, who has repeatedly praised "God Only Knows" over the years as one of the greatest songs ever written, even citing it as his personal favorite of all time.
“‘God Only Knows’ is one of the few songs that reduces me to tears every time I hear it,” McCartney said in a 2007 interview with BBC Radio 1, per Consequence of Sound. “It’s really just a love song, but it’s brilliantly done. It shows the genius of Brian. I’ve actually performed it with him and I’m afraid to say that during the sound check I broke down.”
The BBC also reported that Wilson’s moving song and game-changing album inspired McCartney to write “Here, There and Everywhere,” with the Beatle penning the track back at John Lennon’s house immediately after hearing the record at a party.
Hm, wonder if he knew Wilson and Asher wrote "God Only Knows” in just 45 minutes.
The Greatest American Rock Band“God Only Knows” peaked at No. 39 on the BillboardHot 100 chart but broke into the Top 10 in a number of other countries including Australia and the United Kingdom. Today, it’s considered Wilson’s signature song, with plenty of covers proving its popularity. Some standout iterations come from David Bowie, Joss Stone, and Taylor Swift.
No doubt it’s tracks like “God Only Knows,” and The Beach Boys signature surf rock tunes, like “Surfin’ USA,” “Kokomo,” and “Good Vibrations” that have solidified the group as the greatest American rock band of all time.
The unlikely formula for a Beach Boys classic: Acid, women and western movies.... https://t.co/8CM49c4zPs
— UltimateClassicRock (@UltClassicRock) July 12, 2025“The Beach Boys were more than just a group that sang about girls, cars and surfing,” Ultimate Classic Rock writes. “In fact, there are few bands that have had a greater impact on popular music. Without their 1966 masterpiece Pet Sounds, there never would have been Sgt. Pepper; without Smile, the follow-up record that broke down Brian Wilson and was shelved for decades, indie rock's DIY aesthetic would have sprouted in different, and less interesting, directions. And it didn't stop there: The Beach Boys' string of late-'60s and early '70s albums includes some of their greatest and most mature work. While they became a bickering nostalgia act in later decades, it doesn't damper their influence or the power of their eternal music.”

Taking to Instagram on Monday, March, and directing his message to the fans, King wrote, “Hi everyone, there’s nothing in the world we hate more than having to cancel a show, let alone an entire tour. But sometimes the business side of things just doesn’t line up with our desire [and] need to play for as many of you amazing folks as possible.”
“With that, we sadly must announce that due to the cancellation of Bluesfest, we won’t be able to go on with our planned Australia and New Zealand run,” he added.
View this post on InstagramKing went on to say that the popular, long-running music festival was central to booking an overseas run, and missing the event disrupts the original schedule.
“Bluesfest was the anchor for our trip, and without that, it just isn’t possible,” he noted before adding, “We will be back, and we will get together again next get down — down under.”
He Plans to Return in the Future“We will be back soon!” He further promised alongside his post, which earned responses of both heartbreak and support from his fans and followers.
“💔 Devastated!” One person commented below the post. “Butttt will still be first in line for the next NZ tour announcement 😍.”
Another follower added, “We love ya down here, mate! Such a blow for us all losing Bluesfest, but I know there is an audience here awaiting your return when the time is right. 🙌🙌”
“Bummer!” A third fan chimed in.
The Music Festival Was Canceled for Various ReasonsAccording to Rolling Stone Australia, Bluesfest 2026 was supposed to run from April 2-5, but was called off for reasons that included: “rising production, logistics, insurance and touring costs, combined with softer ticket demand and international uncertainties.”
Affected dates of King’s tour included stops at The Powerstation in Auckland, New Zealand, on April 1; the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, Australia, on April 8; and Hindley Street Music Hall in Adelaide, Australia, on April 11.
King isn’t the only act to cancel shows around the collapse of the music festival. Other artists, who have bowed out of Australian dates, according to BluntMag.com, include Earth, Wind & Fire, Erykah Badu, The Wailers, Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Jerry Harrison & Adrian Belew.

1972 No. 1 Hit Became a Career-Defining Classic
Gilbert O’ Sullivan made a mark in the music scene after releasing his song “Alone Again (Naturally).”
The generation today might know the song through trending social media videos, but the song truly defined its era.
At the height of classic rock and the rising popularity of funk and soul music in the early 1970s, the Irish singer-songwriter struck gold by introducing a soft pop-rock sound infused with a bossa nova-inspired rhythm.
Released in 1972, O’ Sullivan had only turned 21 years old when he launched “Alone Again (Naturally)” which sold over two million copies, establishing his career as one of the era’s hottest recording artists.
His success further skyrocketed after the song topped the Billboard Hot 100. O'Sullivan's track hit No. 1 in the same year and spent six weeks on the chart, marking his international breakthrough.

Moreover, it also landed as Billboard’s No. 2 song of 1972 behind "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" by Roberta Flack.
Adding to its remarkable achievements, “Alone Again (Naturally)” was ranked the fifth most popular song of the 1970s on Casey Kasem's American Top 40.
Fellow music artists were equally drawn to the captivating sound of O’ Sullivan’s song. Even the iconic musician Neil Diamond was so impressed that he recorded his own version of it as part of his 2010 album Dreams.
He described it as a “happy rhythm that you almost didn’t pay attention to the words,” as mentioned by The Great Irish Songbook, adding how amazed he was at how “a relative kid could write such a powerful lyric.”
According to O’Sullivan, they recorded the smash hit in a “three-hour session with his single ‘Out of the Question.’”

“Nobody thought that it was the one with commercial potential; everyone thought ‘Out of the Question’ would be the success.”
Lo and behold, the song became a cultural touchstone that captured the bittersweet emotions of loneliness, death and losing faith.
Apart from it, the Irish singer is also known for his notable hits such as "Clair,” “Get Down,” his debut song “Nothing Rhymed,” “Why Oh Why Oh Why,” the 1971 song "No Matter How I Try," as well as the pop song “Ooh-Wakka-Doo-Wakka-Day."

Lainey Wilson Sparkles on the 'Hannah Montana 20th' Purple Carpet
Country singer and songwriter Lainey Wilson stepped out on the purple carpet in head-to-toe sparkles on Monday, March 23, 2026. The Yellowstone actress looked striking at the premiere of the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special.
Wilson ditched her typical cowboy hat for the evening and wore a stunning sheer and sequin Zuhair Murad jumpsuit with daringly long sleeves—and don't miss the gorgeous open-back cutout.
In the past, the Grammy-winning songstress has talked about her longtime personal connection to the Hannah Montana character (who was, of course, played by Miley Cyrus throughout its run). As a teenager, Wilson impersonated Hannah Montana for kids' birthday parties, and she kept the gig going on weekends for five years. She would actually open her Hannah shows as herself (good practice for future stardom) and then threw on the famed blonde wig to perform as the Disney show superstar.
Listen to Lainey Wilson as she gets nostalgic about her own Hannah Montana journey and talks about how much she looks up to singer Miley Cyrus, too:

Emerging Author’s Novel Ranked as No. 1 ‘Breakout Debut’ on Goodreads
Emerging author Caro Claire Burke is poised to make a major splash with her debut novel.
Her upcoming book, Yesteryear, has been ranked the No. 1 "breakout debut" on Goodreads among titles publishing in the U.S. between March and May. According to Goodreads, the list is based on how many readers have added each book to their "want-to-read" shelves, making it a strong indicator of early buzz and anticipation.
View this post on InstagramYesteryear centers on Natalie Heller Mills, a seemingly perfect wife, mother and influencer who has built a massive following by promoting a curated, traditional lifestyle. To her millions of followers, she represents an idealized version of domestic life, complete with a picturesque farmhouse, a charming husband and six children. But, behind the scenes, her carefully constructed world is far more manufactured than it appears.
Everything changes when Natalie suddenly wakes up in a version of her life that feels eerily familiar but completely altered. Gone are the modern comforts she once relied on. Instead, she finds herself living in what appears to be 1805, where daily survival requires physical labor, and the polished life she once performed has been replaced by something raw, difficult and unsettlingly real.
As Natalie struggles to understand what's happening, she's forced to confront a series of terrifying possibilities. Is she trapped in an elaborate hoax? A twisted reality show? Or something far more sinister? As the conditions around her grow harsher and the stakes more dangerous she realizes that escaping this new reality may be her only chance at survival.
Blending sharp social commentary with psychological tension, Yesteryear explores themes of identity, performance, faith and the pressures of modern womanhood. With its dark humor and high-concept premise, the novel is already drawing attention as one of the most intriguing debuts of the season. The novel is also being adapted into a film, which will star Anne Hathaway.
With its No. 1 ranking on Goodreads' breakout list, Yesteryear is quickly shaping up to be one of the most talked-about new releases and a debut readers won’t want to miss. Yesteryear is expected to hit shelves April 7, 2026.
