1970 Track From Hit Album Ranked 'Worst Song’ by The Beatles

Sun, 02/08/2026 - 1:00am

Regarded as one of the most influential bands in music history, The Beatles, which consists of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, John Lennon and George Harrison, have released not just a slew of hit and award-winning songs but also a handful of tracks that highlight their creativity, artistry and passion as musicians.

However, behind their commercial success and groundbreaking legacy, the British rock band is not immune to criticism.

Over the years, critics have labeled certain songs as overrated or musically repetitive, suggesting that not every release matched the band’s celebrated standards.

With this, Collider ranked “10 Worst Songs by The Beatles,” highlighting the tracks that received unfavorable reactions from the public.

Landing at the top of the list is “Dig It,” a song from their 12th and final studio album, Let It Be.

This also marks their second all-group composition, after their instrumental "Flying" on their 1967 album Magical Mystery Tour.

The song originated during one of their music sessions, resulting in a 15-minute loosely structured jam.

“Dig It” was reportedly recorded during their rehearsals for the song “Let It Be,” which later became one of the band’s iconic hits.

Based on the comments on the band’s remastered video on their official YouTube channel, fans were not impressed by how John Lennon executed the song. Others even pointed out that he was channeling the singing style of the Rolling Stones icon.

“John impersonating Mick Jagger's singing style,” one wrote.

“John Lennon sounds like Mick Jagger. Lol,” a commenter echoed.

The same goes for another who said, “This sounds like The Rolling Stones.”

Although it is known that “Dig It” was recorded during a live jam session and some questioned why it was included on the album, others saw it as a raw insight into the band’s dynamic chemistry and creative process.

“So simple, so quickly over, it's almost as if ‘Dig It’ was included as a joke or as an aside or as filler on one of history's most important and well-regarded full albums...but man alive! I absolutely LOVE Dig It and I'm always compelled to hammer out those simple chords on the piano after I hear it! Love Dig It!!!”

With “Dig It” making it the “worst song” by The Beatles, the list also includes "Wild Honey Pie" as second and "Why Don't We Do It in the Road?" as third, both from their 1968 self-titled studio album.

Another song that was not a crowd favorite was "Maggie Mae," ranked fourth, followed by "Honey Don't" at fifth.

Completing the top 10 are "Little Child,” “What Goes On,” "Your Mother Should Know,” “Run for Your Life," and lastly, "Savoy Truffle," written by Harrison, which was also deemed “one of his weakest Beatles-era efforts.”

Jelly Roll’s Wife Bunnie Xo Responds to Backlash Over His Grammy Award Acceptance Speech

Sun, 02/08/2026 - 12:40am

Jelly Rolls wife, Bunnie Xo, is speaking out in his defence after he received online criticism for delivering a spiritual-leaning acceptance speech at the 2026 Grammy Awards. While accepting the award for Best Contemporary Country Album for Beautifully Broken on Feb. 1, the “Son of a Sinner” singer, 41, took to the podium and gave an emotional speech that reflected on his faith and his past struggles.

Here’s What He Said During His Grammy Award Speech

Holding up a small red Bible, he recalled a time when he was living in a six-by-eight-foot jail cell, telling the audience all he owned was “a Bible this big, a radio the same size.”

The Antioch, Tenn., native, who as a teen lived a pattern of being in and out of juvenile detention centers, then credited both music and God for changing his life, adding, “Jesus is for everybody. Jesus is not owned by one political party or one label. Jesus is Jesus, and anybody can have a relationship with him.”

That speech quickly went viral, drawing criticism from some folks, and in response, Bunnie Xo has addressed the backlash, sharing a clip from her Dumb Blonde podcast on Instagram.

View this post on Instagram

“I’ve been seeing videos where people are saying my husband is a performative Christian,” she said. “In what world is it okay to question somebody’s walk with God?”

Bunnie Xo Backed up Her Reasons by Pointing Out Jelly Roll’s Former Speeches and Earlier Songs

Bunnie Xo, then, pointed out past award-show speeches that Jelly Roll has given, where he shared his spirituality with the audience — a nod that proved his consistency and authenticity as an artist. She also referenced her husband’s musical catalog, which includes deep cuts about his spirituality, such as “Writing All Alone,” “Roll Me Up,” “Rescue Me,” and others.

Bunnie Xo didn’t point out a particular negative comment over her husband’s latest awards show speech, but just one look at a resurfaced video on platforms like TikTok will show that some online users have, indeed, criticized his speech while others praised it.

“This act is so old,” one person commented in one TikTok clip of the speech, while another person added, “This was so off, and it made me very uncomfortable.”

Others meanwhile, wrote messages like, “Jesus is working through you, Jelly Roll” and “Chills.”

“My husband isn’t telling anyone what to do,” Bunnie Xo insisted. “He’s not asking for anything. He’s just saying, ‘Jesus is for everybody.’”

Bunnie Xo went on to accuse some critics of using Jelly Roll’s name for their own social media views, saying, “....The only reason why you’re questioning my husband’s faith is not because you genuinely care, it’s because you want to make money off his name and you want the views.”

Emphasizing that faith is not a new part of Jelly Roll’s life, Bunnie Xo noted that her famous husband was raised in a Methodist church. He has been open about his beliefs since making a personal transformation that includes weight loss, rebuilding relationships, and inspiring others through his musical successes.

Driving her message home, she said, “What people are watching is a man growing in his faith in front of everybody.”

Catherine O'Hara Honored by 'The Studio' Directors at Latest Award Show: 'Utter Genius'

Sun, 02/08/2026 - 12:20am

Hollywood continues to pay tribute to the late, great Catherine O'Hara following her recent and unexpected passing.

That includes the latest ceremony held during a competitive awards season, this one hosted by the Directors Guild of America on Saturday, Feb. 7. Among the high-profile winners were co-winners Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg for their work on The Studio.

View this post on Instagram

As fans of the celebrated Apple TV show are award, the cast is seemingly endless stream of big names — and at the front of the line for season 1 was O'Hara, who died on Jan. 30 at age 71.

During their acceptance speech on Saturday at the 2026 DGA Awards, Goldberg, 43, and Rogen, 43, took time to honor the beloved co-star, according to media outlets including Deadline.

“Honestly, there’s no one we wish we could thank in person at this moment more than we would love to thank Catherine O’Hara," said Rogen, per Deadline, with Goldberg adding, "We grew up in Canada, and she is and was quite literally our idol since we were children."

In addition to her recent small-screen work — which also includes Schitt's Creek, of course — O'Hara might be best remembered for her role in a certain holiday movie.

"Home Alone honestly is the movie that made me want to make movies in a lot of ways,” Rogen also said during his acceptance speech on Saturday, per Deadline. "And I mean, in that movie she’s always yelling, 'Kevin, Kevin!' And on set, she would always be yelling, 'Evan, Evan!' And every time she did it, we were like, 'It’s like Home Alone.'"

Goldberg added, "The best part of her is she showed that you can be an utter genius and also the nicest person in the entire world."

Interestingly, two weeks before O'Hara's death, Rogen had shown love for her in a joint social media post with Apple TV, which featured a series of behind-the-scenes and stills from The Studio. See below.

'90s Musician Behind Classic 1996 Alternative Rock Hit Dies After 'Brief Illness'

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 11:34pm

Greg Brown, a founding member of the 90s slacker rock band Cake, has died. The band, behind such songs as "The Distance," "Frank Sinatra," and "Short Skirt, Long Jacket," announced his passing on Feb. 7.

"It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Greg Brown's passing after a brief illness," the band posted to Instagram. "Greg was an integral part of CAKE's early sound and development. His creative contributions were immense, and his presence—both musical and personal—will be deeply missed. Godspeed, Greg."

Fans grieved the loss of the beloved guitarist, with his daughter, Adri Brown, writing that Greg was "the best dad I could've asked for." Another fan commented. "One of the greatest guitar players, in my personal opinion. He will live on in the history he's made and the musicians he's inspired."

Greg Brown Wrote Cake's Biggest Hit, 'The Distance'

Greg co-founded the band in 1991 along with singer John McCrea, bassist Shon Meckfessel, drummer Frank French and trumpeter Vince DiFiore. He played on their first two albums, 1994's Motorcade of Generosity and what would become their breakthrough album, 1996's Fashion Nugget. Greg was the sole writer behind the album's lead single, "The Distance."

Opening with John McCrea's deadpan vocals ("Reluctantly crouched and the starting line…"), the song became a staple of alternative rock radio, reaching No. 4 on the US Alternative Airplay charts and No. 38 on the Mainstream Rock charts. It's undeniably their most successful song: the RIAA certified it 2x Platinum in 2022.

The song was recorded in one take. It's one of the very few Cake originals that didn't involve John McCrea in the writing process. "[McCrea] took to it right away, and I didn't really understand what he saw in it so much," said Brown in 2021, speaking in a Fashion Nugget 25th anniversary feature for Billboard. "I liked the way it sounded and everything, but I thought 'Frank Sinatra' was a much stronger choice for the single. But the record label chose it, and it worked out."

"It is a song about success and failure, and failure of success, really," McCrea said when appearing on Professor of Rock. "It's a sad song, because there is no success. You can explode into the world with great magnificence, and still feel like the guy underneath the Mickey Mouse head, with the fan batteries that have stopped working properly, and it's dark under there, and everybody wants your autograph."

Greg Brown left Cake in 1997. "I might have told you one thing back when I was 27 years old, and I left hot headed and mad about what I considered to be irreconcilable personality problems or whatever," Brown told Billboard in 2021.. "As 51-year-old me, I see a much larger context of what was going on in my life. Rather than get into all of it, I would just say there was a lot of turmoil at the time, and I felt like leaving Cake would be a decision that would be good for my health."

After Cake, Greg Brown played in bands Deathray and Homie. In recent years, Greg repaired his relationship with the band, even playing on Cake's 2011 album, Showroom of Compassion.

This 1976 Classic Ranked the 'Only Dud on an Otherwise Perfect Album'

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 10:00pm

Even the most critically acclaimed and best-selling albums in rock history generally have at least one or two songs that listeners don't love quite as much as the rest of the record. Sometimes a song seems out of place, other times it's just not up to the same standards as the rest of the tunes...but whatever the reason, fans often find themselves skipping over certain less-than-stellar offerings from their (otherwise) favorite bands.

That's why Rolling Stone decided to rank 50 of the most "terrible songs on great albums" in 2025...and the tunes that made the list are guaranteed to have plenty of music lovers nodding in agreement, while others will surely be filled with indignation at seeing their personal faves slammed.

Some of the opinions on the list are hard to argue with, to be fair. In fact, in several of the cases, the artists themselves didn't even like the songs; for example, #50 went to the Beatles' "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" from Abbey Road, which John Lennon openly admitted to hating. Bob Dylan, meanwhile, seemed to blame co-writer Jacques Levy for Desire's "Joey," about the mobster Joey Gallo, which took the #32 spot. (“Jacques Levy wrote the words,” he said in a 2009 interview with Bill Flanagan. “Jacques had a theatrical mind, and he wrote a lot of plays. So the song might have been theater of the mind. I just sang it.”)

While it's generally considered one of the most perfect albums in rock history (and continues to be one of the most profitable), Hotel California by the Eagles also came under fire for a specific track: "Try and Love Again," ranked at #12 on the list.

While late bassist/singer Randy Meisner was, as the article put it, a "man of many talents" (prime example: his lead vocals on "Take It to the Limit"), some fans apparently feel his songwriting skills weren't on the same level as bandmates Don Henley, Glen Frey and Joe Walsh.

"And these guys were operating at their absolute peak when Hotel California came around," Rolling Stone pointed out. "This was Meisner’s last album with the group, and they included his country-rock tune 'Try and Love Again' on the second side. It’s the only dud on the otherwise perfect album."

"Dud" or not, it seems there are plenty of fans who like "Try and Love Again" just fine: At the time of this writing, the track has 23,567,302 streams on Spotify. By comparison, the song "Hotel California" has 2,106,918,000, but you know what they say...you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.

'Mormon Wives' Star Reveals Breakup in Emotional Video for Fans: 'Hard for Me to Do'

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 9:37pm

The latest Mormon Wives shocker comes not through a new episode, but rather in the form of a TikTok.

Layla Taylor just confirmed in an emotional video for her fans that she is "no longer" with boyfriendMason McWhorter.

“I don’t ever really come on my page and cry, so this is already really hard for me to do,” Taylor, 24, said in the post on Saturday, Feb. 7, adding that reality TV "feels safe for me to be open on — but for some reason, my page has always been really hard for me to be vulnerable on.”

The young star's reason for taking to social media is that she was "already seeing some comments that are not true" about her split, adding, "I genuinely wish and want the best for Mason. Things just weren’t working out. I think we were just on two different paths right now. He felt in order for him to grow, he had to be on his own. And I respect his decision, and I truly hope that he gets what he wants in life."

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star's post already has more than 2,500 comments, with fans showing their support for Taylor during this difficult time. "Aww Layla. I'm so sorry the internet forced you to divulge your private life before you're ready. Heart breaks are the worst. Please give yourself grace and time. Take care of yourself," one user commented, for example.

In just one of the TikTok's tearful moments, Taylor reveals, "I just really thought that I was gonna get the family that I wanted so badly."

Last month, Mormon Wives revealed a first look at the upcoming fourth season, which is set to premiere on Hulu March 12. After the success of the third season, Hulu had picked up the reality show for 20 additional episodes.

Spring cleaning isn’t only about the inside; your outdoor spaces need a little love, too. As the weather warms, focus naturally shifts to front doors, decks, and mudrooms — the areas that set the tone before anyone even steps inside. After months of cold-weather wear and tear, your home’s exterior is often the first to benefit from a simple update, where even a small swap can have an outsized impact.

Right now, Wayfair has the Lark Manor Amoura Geometric Tiled Medallion Doormat on sale for just $24, marked down 47% from its original $45 price. It’s a low-effort way to give your porch or patio a seasonal lift, whether you’re refreshing your foyer or finally replacing a worn-out mat that’s seen one too many winters.

Made of durable, weather-resistant polyester, this mat is designed to withstand heavy foot traffic while keeping your entryway looking sharp. Its raised, textured pattern is perfect for scraping dirt and debris off shoes, and reviewers have praised its resilience, noting it feels “sturdy and durable” and “holds up well during a multitude of weather conditions.” Measuring two feet wide by three feet long, it’s the ideal size for standard doorways and works on a variety of surfaces, from concrete and brick to stone and grass.

With its low-profile design, the mat is built to stay put as doors open and close. A non-slip rubber backing keeps it secure, which one shopper described as “heavy enough to stay in place even in high winds,” making it safe for high-traffic spots without tripping hazards. Its construction also allows for easy cleaning — simply shake it out, sweep, or rinse with water. Many shoppers noted that they bought two, for “front door and back door entries” or keeping one indoors and one outdoors to safeguard mess from entering the home.

What Happened to The Pizza Cupcake from Shark Tank? (And Here's Where to Buy It Now)

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 8:38pm

If you’re lucky enough to get a product you’ve created on Shark Tank, you’re stepping into an opportunity that can potentially change your life. That’s exactly what happened for snack sensation The Pizza Cupcake, when Andrea Meggiato and his wife Michelle took their little business before the Sharks and came away with a deal that changed everything.

What started as a cutesy date-night snack quickly snowballed into a viral hit, catching the attention of celebrities like Drew Barrymore, Dave Portnoy and more. Now, five years after securing a $125,000 investment from Lori Greiner, you might be wondering what ever happened to the fluffy, savory pizza snack. Well, follow along because this story is far from over.

What Exactly Is The Pizza Cupcake? View this post on Instagram

The Pizza Cupcake started in the tiny New York City kitchen of chef Andrea Meggiato and his wife Michelle-Jimenez-Meggiato in 2018. Reminiscent of popular freezer favorites like pizza bagels, pizza rolls and other miniature pizza creations, Pizza Cupcakes serve as a fluffy, flavorful alternative made with fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce and a proprietary dough of flaky brioche and savory sourdough. Quite literally, they are mini Sourdough brioche cupcakes filled with delicious pizza flavors designed to stay fresh and crispy until they reach your dinner table.

What Happened After Shark Tank?

The Pizza Cupcake quickly built up its brand thanks to Andrea’s extensive pizza-making background and Michelle’s experience in marketing. After only two years of selling their product via nationwide shipping and at two New York City outdoor markets, the couple eventually found themselves pitching their product on Shark Tank in 2021. Through tense negotiations, where Andrea stood quietly while his wife ran point with the Sharks, The Pizza Cupcake eventually scored a legendary $125,000 investment in exchange for 12.5 percent equity, plus 2.5 percent in advisory shares.

From there, the business was booming. Just 10 months after their appearance on Shark Tank, The Pizza Cupcake was being sold in grocery stores around the country, and celebrities started taking notice. They would eventually collaborate with Chrissy Teigen on a Margherita cupcake, effectively boosting their product and landing them in over 1,600 Walmart stores nationwide by September 2022.

Drew Barrymore raved about them on The Drew Barrymore Show, Dave Portnoy reviewed them in a viral “One Bite” video and the cupcakes even appeared at events like Coachella and various New York Mets games. And after adding a new 4-Cheese flavor to the lineup, The Pizza Cupcake made its way into Whole Foods, continuing its rapid rise in popularity.

Anything New from The Pizza Cupcake?

Roughly 5 years later, you might be wondering what’s next for the popular freezer snack. The company has been mostly quiet on socials, with only a handful of semi-recent posts hinting at a rebrand. One Reel shared by the couple, explains what they’ve been up to and what's to come in the future:

“Seeing the excitement inspired us to dream bigger,” Michelle says in the video. “We thought, why stop at pizza? Over the past two years we’ve been testing new flavors to accompany our chef-crafted dough. And with new fillings, we need a new name—something more expansive to represent our growing family.”

“We’re so excited to share that we're rebranding and expanding under the name ‘Incredifulls,’” Michelle continues. “Incredifulls isn't just a new name, it's a bigger dream fueled by all of you. We can’t wait to introduce our next flavor soon. Thank you for being part of our story, and get ready—this is just the beginning.”

As for the new flavor, a peek at the Incredifulls Instagram shows a cutesy reveal of exactly what fans have been waiting for: Egg & Cheese Everything Seasoning Breakfast Cups, available now at Target for just $5.99.

Where Can You Buy The Pizza Cupcake Now?

Today, The Pizza Cupcake is still in business, selling like hot cakes under the Incredifulls name at select retailers in the Northeast. You can find them in the freezer section of major grocery stores such as Whole Foods, Walmart, Target, Albertsons, Wegmans and Kroger, as well as smaller grocers like Trade Fair, Urban Market and Food Cellar. If you’re in the Northeast, you can use the Incredifulls “find us” page to locate a store near you, or order directly from Incredifulls and have them delivered straight to your door.

'Awful' 1987 Novel Ranked Stephen King's 'Weirdest' Book Ever

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 8:09pm

Any deep dive into Stephen King's massive bibliography will turn up acclaimed classics like It, The Stand and Misery, but there's one curious outlier that keeps drawing raised eyebrows from fans and critics alike: The Tommyknockers.

Published in 1987, The Tommyknockers is a sprawling tale about a small town overtaken by an extraterrestrial force that has taken on its own reputation over the decades, not for brilliance, but for sheer oddness. In fact, it's so bizarre that it has even earned the title of the Weirdest Stephen King Book of all time, according to Collider, which is seriously saying something given the author's catalog.

In recent rankings of King's works, The Tommyknockers has consistently been lumped in with the weaker entries, not just for quality but for strangeness. In Collider's list of worst Stephen King books, it sits at no. 6, not because it's unreadable, but because its blend of sci-fi horror, convoluted pacing and bizarre plot twists make it feel like the author was throwing everything at the page without a clear target.

What truly fuels its "weirdest" designation among readers and critics isn’t just its premise— an ancient alien ship buried in Maine that psychically takes the townspeople hostage— but how King executes it. The book's tone veers from introspective to wildly absurd, its scientific logic clashes with cosmic horror, and its characters lurch between grounded small-town life and surreal lunacy. That tonal whiplash leaves many readers scratching their heads while others amused find themselves amused by its audacity.

King himself agrees. "The Tommyknockers is an awful book," he told Rolling Stone in 2014. "That was the last one I wrote before I cleaned up my act. And I've thought about it a lot lately and said to myself, 'There's really a good book in here, underneath all the sort of spurious energy that cocaine provides, and I ought to go back.' The book is about 700 pages long, and I'm thinking, 'There's probably a good 350-page novel in there.'"

No matter where it ranks on a "best-to-worst" list, The Tommyknockers endures as a conversation piece in King’s body of work. It's a book that menaces readers not because it's universally considered great, but because its ambition outpaced its polish. And, that's exactly why it's widely considered King's weirdest novel ever.

"Perfect side of fridge storage," said one fan in a five-star review. "A first I ordered just one of these to go on the side of my fridge (which sits right next to my stove) for olive oil and a few seasonings. Once I saw how durable and functional it really was I ordered three more to help organize that particular space in my tiny kitchen. It helped clear a whole section of a cabinet that I can now use to keep something else unsightly out of view. May even buy a few more for the laundry room."

"This was exactly what I needed to help organize my kitchen. I put them on the side of the refrigerator to organize health supplements. The magnet is strong. Material is good quality and should be easy to clean when needed," said another happy Target customer in a five-star review.

Green Day Makes Bold Statement About ICE Ahead of Super Bowl Performance

Sat, 02/07/2026 - 7:05pm

Green Day kicked off Super Bowl LX weekend with a performance at a FanDuel and Spotify pre-party on Friday, Feb. 6, and they wasted no time taking shots at President Donald Trump and the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

“I have a message for ICE agents, wherever you are,” said lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, who was joined onstage at San Francisco’s Pier 29 by bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tré Cool, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. “Quit your s–tty a– job."

"Quit that s–tty job you have," the Bay Area-based rocker continued. "Because when this is over — and it will be over at some point in time — [United States Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem, [United States Homeland Security Advisor] Stephen Miller, [Vice President]J.D. Vance, Donald Trump, they’re going to drop you like a bad f—g habit.”

The criticism, which is nothing new for the band, comes amid protests in Minnesota surrounding the ICE-related deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Throughout the night, they took several opportunities to switch out lyrics to draw attention to other complaints they have about the current state of the world.

During the opening of "Holiday," they replaced the lyric “the representative from California has the floor," with “the representative from Epstein Island has the floor" in reference to millions of concerning emails and documents released from the files of Jeffrey Epstein. Armstrong later changed the words to “Jesus of Suburbia" to include “We are the kids of war and peace from Minnesota to the Middle East."

The "American Idiot" performers are set to open Super Bowl LX on Sunday, Feb. 8, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. Trump was not pleased with the announcement of their performance, or the news that Bad Bunny would take the stage for the Halftime Show.
