'80s Rock Band, Disbanded for Seven Years, Ranked Among 'Greatest Supergroups' of All Time

Mon, 07/06/2026 - 10:48am

Even after its hiatus and eventual breakup, including a seven-year disbandment, Mr. Big, the American hard rock band, secured a spot among the greatest supergroups of all time.

Formed in 1988 in Los Angeles, the quartet consisting of lead vocalist Eric Martin, guitarist Paul Gilbert, bassist Billy Sheehan and drummer Pat Torpey created music that blended glam metal, hard rock and acoustic ballads, captivating audiences worldwide.

Along with its catchy pop-like melodies and heavy guitar riffs, Mr. Big's influence on music remains undeniable even after years away from the spotlight.

Based on the ranking published by BBC Music Magazine, the publication recognized the top 23 supergroups whose members not only came from influential bands but also achieved further success and lasting acclaim through their collaborations.

Landing at No. 23, Mr. Big was celebrated for its "combined virtuoso musicianship" and memorable songwriting skills.

Among the band's signature anthems was the global hit "To Be With You."

The 1992 hit single reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts in 11 other countries.

Written by Eric Martin as the second single from the band's second album, Lean Into It, the track was rediscovered by chance after he came across an old cassette.

“He didn’t really give it much mind – he was kind of: ‘Meh, this old thing,’” Sheehan recalled, as cited by Louder Sound, adding that the vocalist wrote it in hopes of impressing a girl. “I was 16/17 years old, and I was sitting in our front yard under an old oak tree, playing the guitar – it was my first gig.”

Lo and behold, the band went on to achieve massive commercial success after selling millions of albums globally.

At that time, Mr. Big also built a huge fan base in Asia, particularly in Japan, where listeners have long been known for their deep appreciation of rock music.

Unfortunately, the quartet experienced a temporary hiatus and later disbanded, with the first coming after the release of the 1996 album Hey Man.

After just a year, the band reunited, but founding guitarist Paul Gilbert officially left the band and was replaced by Richie Kotzen.

The lineup changes contributed to declining sales in the U.S., leading Mr. Big to take a seven-year break because of internal issues in 2002.

In 2009, the original lineup reunited in Japan. Sheehan described it as something “like getting back with an old girlfriend, but because you want to, not because you have to.”

This particular set includes three necklaces in varying lengths for easy styling.

1973 Rock Track, Never Hit No. 1, Became a Defining Glam-Rock Anthem

Mon, 07/06/2026 - 10:43am

While the New York Dolls had a short run as a rock band, they undoubtedly left a mark in the industry when they released their 1973 track "Personality Crisis," that been tagged by many as having helped propeled the glam-rock era.

"Personality Crisis" was the lead track of their self-titled debut album, with "Trash" serving as part of the double A-side single. Promo singles were also released to radio stations to generate more buzz for the new band that formed in New York City in 1981.

Along with their debut track, the New York Dolls captured attention with their appearance, using drag fashion as their inspiration. They played a key role in the development of punk rock and later glam punk, wearing high heels, hats, satin, makeup, and even dresses as part of their image. "Personality Crisis" soon became a signature track that exemplified the sound and style they wanted fans to know them for. Its lyrics were inspired by exactly what the track's title refers to: a personality crisis.

The track was written by lead singer David Johansen and guitarist Johnny Thunders, with Jack Douglas serving as their sound engineer/producer. According to SoundonSound, Douglas commented that "there was nothing else like the Dolls at the time, which was really cool." He added that the band was all about drama, theatrics, and playing with "complete abandon and being as shocking as you possibly can."

Despite the shock-and-awe that the Dolls developed as a new band, "Personality Crisis" never entered the Billboard charts during its original release. While it missed out on mainstream commercial success, the track became a defining anthem and a track that Douglas calls one of his favorites.

"When they came into the studio with that, it was already an important song,” Douglas said. "It was Syl who decided to add the piano — even at that time he was a very decent player. It definitely gave the song more edge, and we compressed the hell out of the piano just to give it even more excitement. It was miked with a 57."

At the time, Billboard praised the band's debut album, calling it "one of the best solid rock sets to come along in a long time, featuring raunchy lead vocals, tight harmony backup and excellent instrumental skills." They even added that it contained a "wall-shattering sound" few bands achieve.

"Personality Crisis" was undoubtedly one of the band's biggest classics in their repertoire that would helpe inspired future bands like Morrissey, the Sex Pistols, Kiss, Mötley Crüe, and more. Sadly, the track and the album didn't give the band the main-stage stardom they deserved. New York Dolls would release one more album before disbanding in 1976. They would reunite in 2004 before officially breaking up in 2011.

Inside the Making of a 1978 Rock Classic and The Real Story Behind Its Sax Riff

Mon, 07/06/2026 - 10:42am

Even if you do not know Gerry Rafferty's music, you will know "Baker Street" and its iconic saxophone riff.

Rafferty wrote the song three years after the split of his rock band, Stealers Wheel. After the band's breakup, there were numerous legal issues that held the musician back from creating new music.

At the time, Rafferty was extensively travelling between London and Scotland for lawyer's meetings. According to Gold Radio, he would often stay with a friend who lived on real-life Baker Street, which helped inspire the song.

The lyrics "Winding your way down on Baker Street... Well, another crazy day," fit in with Rafferty's busy life at the time. He also speaks about alienation and there is a sense the singer is burned and looking to "forget about everything."

In the second verse, Rafferty talks about his friend who is also in a cycle of nihilism. He sings that his friend has “this dream of about buyin’ some land.” However, he believes that their dream will never come true, because “he’s the rollin’ stone.”

The Truth Behind That Iconic Saxophone Solo

When you think "Baker Street," you think saxophones. The riff was played by Raphael Ravenscroft, who claims to have written the solo. "In fact, most of what I played was an old blues riff," Ravenscroft is quoted as saying. "If you're asking me: 'Did Gerry hand me a piece of music to play?' then no, he didn't."

Rafferty always denies his claim, telling Folk Roots: "A lot of people believed that the line was written by Raphael Ravenscroft, the sax player, but it was my line. I sang it to him."

"When I wrote the song I saw that bit as an instrumental part but I didn’t know what. We tried electric guitar, but it sounded weak, and we tried other things, and I think it was Hugh Murphy’s suggestion that we tried saxophone," the late musician added.

The Success Of Baker Street For Gerry Rafferty

“Baker Street” didn’t enter the Billboard Hot 100 until nearly three months after its 1978 release. It was then blocked from the top spot by Andy Gibb’s “Shadow Dancing.”

On the success of the track, Rafferty once told The Herald: "'Baker Street still makes me about 80,000 a year. It's been a huge earner for me and still gets an enormous amount of airplay all around the world."

He added: "It's every songwriter's ambition to come up with at least one song in their lifetime that's regarded as a classic. And "Baker Street" is mine.''

Ed Harris Finally Talks About 'The Abyss' After Almost Skipping the Reunion

Mon, 07/06/2026 - 10:42am

Ed Harris spent more than three decades declining to discuss The Abyss. That changed when he joined nearly the entire surviving cast for a reunion conversation on the James Cameron 101 podcast's 100th episode, hosted by Eddie Green.

Getting Harris there wasn't easy. According to host Green, the reunion had been in the works for months, but Harris wasn't available the first time it was scheduled, so the plan shifted to a smaller conversation without him. Co-star Michael Biehn, who played Lieutenant Coffey, made his own involvement conditional, saying he'd only join if Harris did. Green says he spent the days leading up to the recording convinced Harris would cancel, and didn't get final confirmation until minutes before the episode began.

Once the full group assembled, including John Bedford Lloyd, Kimberly Scott, Adam Nelson and Biehn, the conversation moved through the production's most infamous stretches. Cast members recalled the isolation of filming in a converted South Carolina nuclear power facility, months of near-total immersion that led to inside jokes and eccentric downtime rituals.

Harris revisited one of the film's most-discussed scenes, that of slapping his onscreen wife, played by Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, awake during the drowning sequence. He recalled noticing out of the corner of his eye that the camera had stopped rolling, and asking the crew, "did you guys just run out of film?" No one had said anything. Mastrantonio, according to Harris, got up and walked off. Other cast members backed up his account of how difficult the shoot could be, describing themselves as effectively guinea pigs for equipment and techniques nobody had tested before.

What kept Harris silent for so long was never addressed directly on the podcast. He didn't explain his decades-long refusal to discuss the film, and no one asked. The closest the conversation came was the cast's shared description of a production haunted by untested gear, real physical danger, and a director who by his own account didn't have final cut, circumstances that make his reluctance easy to guess at, even without him saying so.

The group also discussed some of the production's more dangerous moments, including one story from Adam Nelson about being dragged across the bottom of the tank without his own air supply, taking on water when a regulator was inserted incorrectly, and being rescued by underwater cinematographer Al Giddings. Nelson said he assumed in that moment that he was going to die.

Related: Steven Spielberg Says His Dad Made Him a Believer in Alien Life

Mastrantonio herself wasn't part of the reunion. Cast members said she's largely stepped away from discussing the film and was left off the invitation list for that reason. One castmate also revisited the movie's divisive ending, recalling that Cameron ultimately released two different cuts and that he'd once watched both versions privately, telling Cameron he preferred the longer one, though he doubted any ending could match the emotional weight of the drowning scene that preceded it.

Not every memory was harrowing. The group also traded lighter stories: sweaters knitted between takes, glass-eating as an offset ritual, a diving crew nicknamed for its habits, and an emotional recollection from Biehn about a compliment Harris gave him on a later film that he said he'd never forgotten. Before signing off, the cast asked that the episode include a tribute to castmates who have since died: J.C. Quinn, Kid Brewer, George Clack and Leo Burmester.

Asked to name their favorite Cameron film to close the episode, Harris didn't hesitate. The Abyss, though he added, only half-joking, that his favorite part was the first ten minutes.

Prince Harry Receives Another Blow From The Royal Family

Mon, 07/06/2026 - 10:39am

Tensions are once again running high between Prince Harryand the royal family, with contradictory statements from the opposing parties issued with just 15 minutes of each other.

This morning Prince Harry confirmed to the BBC via his spokesperson that he had accepted his father King Charles III's offer of accommodation at Buckingham Palace when Harry visits the UK this week.

But with 15 minutes, Buckingham Palace had let the BBC know that Harry was no longer welcome to stay at the royal residence.

Why Buckingham Palace says Prince Harry can no longer stay there

Royal sources said the Duke of Sussex had been made aware that the offer to stay at Buckingham Palace had been withdrawn because he had not accepted the offer on time.

By the time he did a U-turn and accepted the invitation it was too late to make staffing arrangements to accommodate him, according to the palace.

Related: Will Harry and Meghan Finally Secure the ‘Money Shot’—A Picture Of Their Children With King Charles?

The palace is said to be concerned about the further complications posed by Harry staying at Buckingham Palace at the same day when a judgment is due to be passed in his case against Associated Newspapers.

Prince Harry had formally declined the invitation on Saturday on behalf of himself, his wife Meghan Markle, and his children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, but by Saturday evening had changed his mind and accepted the offer on his own behalf.

Despite having been informed on Saturday evening that it was now too late for Royal Household staff to prepare for his arrival and that he was no longer welcome, Harry's team announced on Monday morning that he would be staying at Buckingham Palace during his UK visit.

Prince Harry's team says the offer was withdrawn "at the last moment"

Following the palace's denial of this claim, Harry's spokesperson accused the palace of withdrawing the king's offer "at the last moment."

His spokesperson said, "I am aware of multiple briefings from Buckingham Palace last week suggesting that the Duke had not accepted the offer of accommodation at a Royal Residence."

They added that following the government's decision not to provide Harry and his family with taxpayer funded security, Harry spent last week "making alternative security arrangements."

They went on, "Once those arrangements were in place, he was able to formally accept the offer of accommodation for himself over the weekend.

"It is therefore disappointing that the offer has now been withdrawn, with Tuesday’s judgment in the Associated Newspapers Limited case cited as the reason."

The statement continued, "Buckingham Palace has, however, been aware of that judgment since last Thursday. It is therefore unclear why, having formally accepted the accommodation offer, it has now been withdrawn at the last moment."

Why Prince Harry is traveling to the UK

Harry is coming to the UK for for the Invictus Games 'one year to go' series of events.

It was reported that Harry had decided not to bring his family to London after learning that he had been denied 24/7 police protection during the trip.

But Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet may join him in Birmingham for the Invictus events. It's also thought that the Sussexes will stay at Princess Diana's ancestral home of Althorp House at some point during the trip.

Country Star Who Re-Enlisted Announces Patriotic Veterans Day Event

Mon, 07/06/2026 - 10:37am

In country music, few artists have lived the lyrics of patriotism quite like Craig Morgan.

Long before he topped the country charts with hits like "That's What I Love About Sunday," "Redneck Yacht Club" and "Almost Home," Morgan spent 17 years serving in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve. Even after becoming a successful recording artist, he never stopped supporting America's service members, making repeated overseas trips to entertain troops and, remarkably, re-enlisting in the Army Reserve in 2023.

Now, Morgan is creating another opportunity to give back.

The Grand Ole Opry member announced he will host the inaugural Craig Morgan's Veterans Day 5K on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry House. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Opry Trust Fund, Operation Finally Home, the USO and the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation. Registration is now open.

"We celebrate Veterans Day each year to honor the men and women who have served our great nation in our US military," Morgan said in a statement. "I am inviting you to join me on November 7 to run, honor and remember our Veterans during this first-ever race and give back to those who have already given us so much."

The event welcomes runners, walkers, active-duty military members, veterans, military families and supporters. Organizers say participants can expect a professionally timed 5K, commemorative race swag and a patriotic finish-line celebration, all while helping organizations dedicated to serving those who have sacrificed for the country.

For Morgan, the event is a natural extension of a lifetime devoted to service.

Before launching his recording career, he served on active duty with the Army's 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions and later continued in the Army Reserve. In 2023, more than two decades after becoming a country music star, he surprised fans by re-enlisting in the Army Reserve during a Grand Ole Opry appearance, underscoring that his commitment to military service never ended.

That dedication has continued throughout his career. Morgan has performed for troops on nearly two dozen overseas trips, received the USO Merit Award for his support of military families and was honored with the Army's Outstanding Civilian Service Medal, one of the highest awards the Department of the Army can bestow upon a civilian, for his work on behalf of active-duty service members and veterans.

The announcement also comes as Morgan continues releasing music inspired by those experiences. His latest song, "Blanket of Stars," pays tribute to the sacrifice and dedication of America's service members, reflecting the perspective of someone who has worn the uniform himself.

The inaugural Veterans Day 5K will take place the morning of Nov. 7 before Morgan headlines Nashville's Ryman Auditorium later that evening, making for a day centered on both music and honoring those who have served.

It's never too early to start thinking about Halloween, especially if you're Duran Duran.

The ’80s rock band, known for its annual Halloween spectacle, has just announced this year’s one-night-only Danse Macabre Halloween Party.

"Halloween is coming to @theO2london 😈," the post began.

"Duran Duran have just announced a very special show taking place on 31 October! 💀," it continued.

"Conjured from the band’s performance at the Wynn Theatre in Las Vegas in 2022, which spawned the 2023 album Danse Macabre, the Danse Macabre Halloween Party has evolved into an annual tradition. Following sold-out shows in 2024 and 2025 in New York and Manchester, the show will arrive in London for the very first time this year – the finale to the band’s UK arena tour 2026. 🧛" the post added.

As in previous years, the band is encouraging fans to "dress-up for a Halloween spectacular, complete with a spooky takeover at The O2 – from frightful silent disco to chilling cinema screenings and surprise performances. 👻 "

"DD VIP Community members will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets to this show via an exclusive pre-sale, starting on 8 July at 8am," the post also revealed.

What began as a one-night-only event in Las Vegas has since grown into a highly anticipated annual tradition, later inspiring the band’s 16th album, Danse Macabre. The show sold out Madison Square Garden in 2024 and made its UK debut last fall, featuring a mix of the band’s biggest hits and darkly reimagined rare tracks.

Fans couldn't help but rave about the show in the comments, as one wrote, "Saw the Halloween show in Manchester last year, amazing! 🩷🧡," as another added, "Absolutely fantastic!👻👹."

Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor have been active on the road in 2026, kicking off the year with a mini U.S. run, followed by a Las Vegas residency in May. They're currently in the middle of a summer tour run in Europe.

The Bizarre Fast Food Craving That Accidentally Sparked a ’70s Chart-Topper

Mon, 07/06/2026 - 10:25am

In the winter of 1971, music fans across the country were humming along to a cheerful, roller-skate-tempo tune that seemingly came out of nowhere to lock down the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

Melanie's "Brand New Key" poured out of her effortlessly after a single, desperate fast-food run. The singer and songwriter revealed that the inspiration came on the heels of a 30-day fast.

In an interview with The Tennessean, Melanie shared the story behind the unlikely hit.

"I was on a fast and a vegetarian previously. I wasn’t doing well as a vegetarian. I kept getting ill and colds," she began.

Parade Daily🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

"So I went to a fasting guru, Bernard Jenson. He was in Escondido, California, and I was in New Jersey. I flew out, and I had a big concert at Carnegie Hall, and I couldn’t be sick. I was getting a cold. He said, 'Come out, and we will put you on a fast.' So I did and was on a fast for 27 days on nothing but distilled water," she continued.

"I was seeing God, and I didn’t really want to stop the fast. There are so many different opinions on fasting and so many different weird diet things. On the 27th day, he said, 'Melanie, I think it’s time to stop the fast.' I said, “No! I am starting to get visions!”

She concluded, "I stopped the fast gradually by eating partially cooked grated carrot and zucchini. I did this for a few days, and then I was on my way to a flea market. I came back with a big bag full of crazy stuff, and I was hungry! We were passing something and I smelled this aroma. Dr. Jenson said it would occur to me that I would know. I looked over, and it was a McDonald's. This was the truth!"

"I got one of those combos, and no sooner had I finished the last bite of burger than I wrote 'Brand New Key.' It just came into my head. I had one of those little practice guitars in the van with me, and when my husband [Peter Schekeryk], who was a record producer, heard me singing, he said, 'What’s that?' And I said, 'Oh, some silly song. I’m just playing around.' He said, 'Melanie, that’s a hit!'"

The song had a resurgence in popularity in 1997 due to its inclusion in the feature film Boogie Nights. It famously plays during the scene where Dirk Diggler (Mark Wahlberg) has an audition with Rollergirl (Heather Graham) in front of director Jack Horner (Burt Reynolds). The song was also featured in the TV shows Family Guy and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Melanie died on January 23, 2024. She was 76 years old.

At a recent stop in London at the famed Tower Bridge, Johnson was on his way to leave and was saying goodbye to the crowd when something caught his eye. Johnson zeroed in on a man holding up two vintage magazines, and the familiar face on the cover stopped the former pro-wrestler in his tracks.

"Can I see these?" Johnson asked the fan, who handed over the magazines featuring his grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia, who was also a professional wrestler. When he asked if they were for him, the fan replied that they were actually for his mother, whom he had met with at a wrestling event and told about them. She said she hoped to see them someday, so he brought them along for Johnson to take to her.

"INCREDIBLY COOL gift from an awesome fan - a vintage wrestling magazine with my grandfather on the cover," Johnson captioned the video. "As you see by his pictures, my grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia was the inspiration behind my character MAUI🪝from MOANA. Thank you Steven 🫱🏾‍🫲🏼 I got the best fans in the world!!!"

And his fans online offered plenty of thoughts on the sweet exchange.

"That is such a beautiful moment and a lovely thing to do," wrote one fan. "Could see how you literally stopped in your tracks when you saw your grandfather."

"Wow, just think there is not much you can give a celebrity but Steven had something meaningful," noted another.

"This brought a tear to my eyes. [Can't] imagine how cool it is to bring something like that back into the right hands," said another.

More About High Chief Peter Maivia

Much like in acting and music, there are dynasties of performers in WWE history. Though slightly overlooked, one of those dynasties belongs to The Rock, and it all started with his grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia. Maivia was born in Samoa during the 1930s, according to WWE.com, and moved to New Zealand to begin his in-ring fighting career. Training under New Zealand legend Steve Rickard, Maivia won a slew of championships across the South Pacific and Hawaii before making it to mainland America in the 1970s. He ultimately dominated the West Coast, winning multiple championships in both Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Johnson has said on several occasions that Maivia was the inspiration for the demigod character in Moana, Maui. Just recently, he spoke with ABC and talked about what honoring his grandfather's legacy means to him.

"This was for him. This role was for him. He's buried here in Hawaii, and he lost his life here in Hawaii, and this is all so meaningful," he told the outlet.

Johnson's own mother and daughters will have cameos in scenes featuring Moana's ancestors, alongside a sea of authentic Polynesian actors.

"It was just real reverence and respect for the culture," says Johnson of the casting choices. "I'm so proud because this is what I grew up with here. This is the culture, the value system, the music, and the dancing. It means everything: legacy, life, and pride."

'70s Rock Legend, 77, Blows Fans Away with 'Most Iconic Voice in Rock and Roll' at Concert

Mon, 07/06/2026 - 10:20am

When you think of the most legendary voices in all of rock music, who comes to mind? I'd guess that for a lot of you the first thought is Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. The English icon carried one of the most unforgettable stage presences throughout the '70s as Led Zeppelin conquered the rock world with their virtuoso playing and the hard hitting sound.

All these years later, and Robert Plant is still going strong. I actually had an opportunity to see him perform back in 2024, and he was fantastic. He's really aged into this almost mystical wizard figure. The wise old man look suits him very nicely.

Fans have really been in agreement, as a recent concert of his had many shocked. His voice has barely aged, and his stage presence has transitioned gracefully to an elegant, vocal focused show that many were absolutely blown away by.

In the video, Plant performed on of Zeppelin's most iconic tracks, "The Rain Song," which features a difficult vocal part at the end that Plant absolutely nailed. It's crazy to see how well his voice has been preserved with how harsh his singing style is. Despite decades or rasps and screams, his voice is just as smooth as ever.

Fans rushed to the comments in awe of the clip, sharing their love and appreciation for the '70s superstar.

"Unbelievable vocals!!"

"Robert Plant singing the Rain Song. This is what heaven must be like."

"Arguably the most iconic voice in rock and roll history."

No matter what era of his career you're experiencing, Robert Plant is surely giving a masterclass in singing, performing, and holding the attention of the audience. You don't get the reputation that Plant does for nothing. It's years and years of hard work, dedication, and raw unbridled talent.

Salley Carson Responds to Kyle Cooke Rumors as Fans Ship 'Summer House' and 'Southern Charm' Crossover

Mon, 07/06/2026 - 10:20am

Following reports that Summer House star Kyle Cooke was seen kissing Next Gen NYC’s Ava Dash, gossip Instagram account DeuxMoi added fuel to the fire by claiming he was also “spotted getting cozy” with Southern Charm’s Salley Carson—and Salley has now responded.

“That was actually two nights ago,” Salley wrote, seemingly leaning into the rumor. She also appeared in photos with several Summer House cast members as they kicked off filming Season 11 in the Hamptons. Kyle, meanwhile, has shared multiple photos featuring Ava, prompting fans to speculate—and ship—potential connections across both shows.

Fan reaction to a possible Kyle-and-Ava pairing has been mixed, with some pointing to the age gap between the two.

“I love them together actually go off universe,” one user wrote in the DeuxMoi comments. Another added, “I’m ok with this!!! I feel like they are compatible.” Quite a few fans leaned into the "summer should be fun" line writing, "I’m all for Kyle to have fun this summer and be free. Summer is supposed to be fun."

Others have floated the idea of a broader crossover involving Salley, even suggesting she could appear on Summer House, similar to Craig Conover’s past storyline with Paige DeSorbo during her time on the show.

The speculation also isn’t entirely new. During the Summer House Season 10 reunion, Kyle admitted to hooking up with Salley on premiere night. He has since remained coy about any potential romance, telling the Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, “I think she’s amazing... She’s a full-time, career-driven woman and also films. And the men should take note on that show, is all I’m going to say.”

More recently, Kyle clarified his dating status to People, noting that while he’s traveling frequently and not in a position to seriously date in New York, he’s currently just having fun and expects to remain single this summer, adding that his schedule doesn’t leave room for dating locally.

Starbucks Expands Its Summer Menu Again With 5 Fruity New Drinks

Mon, 07/06/2026 - 10:16am

We may have officially entered the so-called "dog days" of summer, but the heat isn't slowing down Starbucks.

On Monday, the international coffee chain revealed it would update its seasonal menu once more. Weeks after confirming its beloved Unicorn frapp would reappear this season and rolling out its new Blue Coconut menu, Starbucks previewed almost half a dozen new drinks as part of its upcoming Orange Cream menu.

The new drop channels the nostalgic and refreshing vibes of an iconic summertime treat and taps into a recent trend in which coffee fans add a splash of OJ and maybe some sparkling water to their freshly pulled shot of espresso—but it does so in a way that's inherently Starbucks, transforming the fruity and creamy combo into five new signature beverage creations.

Starbucks Has a New Orange Cream-Inspired Drink Menu Heading Out This Summer

Even better, Starbucks' new Orange Cream recipes are heading to nearly all drink categories. So even if you're not a huge coffee fan (or wince at the idea of adding a citrus element to your latte), you can still enjoy the bright blend of flavors as an iced tea or frappuccino.

Later this month, five new (yet familiar) sips will be available to order in stores, online or in the app, according to the July 6 announcement: Orange Cream Cold Brew, Iced Orange Cream Latte, Iced Orange Cream Matcha, Iced Orange Cream Chai and Orange Cream Frappuccino.

  • Orange Cream Cold Brew: Features a bright, creamy citrus layer over Starbucks' signature cold brew.
  • Iced Orange Cream Latte: Pairs Blonde Espresso with milk and orange-vanilla flavors over ice.
  • Iced Orange Cream Matcha: Combines matcha, milk and ice and is layered with creamy citrus notes.
  • Iced Orange Cream Chai: Blends spiced chai and milk with a bright orange twist.
  • Orange Cream Frappuccino: A refreshing, nostalgic sip, the Orange Cream Frappuccino blended beverage combines sweet orange and vanilla flavors with milk and ice, and then is poured over a layer of whipped cream for a bright twist and topped with a final layer of whipped cream.

The fun doesn't stop there, as Starbucks said it's also releasing a limited-edition merchandise collection in collaboration with Southern California-based fashion brand Dandy Worldwide later this month.

Starbucks Is Also Launching a Limited-Edition "Laid-Back" Merch Collab With SoCal's Dandy

The coffee chain said its "laid-back" new release is the "culminating chapter" of its summer road trip story, which also includes its adorable Miffy collab and a road-ready merch collection.

It includes an array of drinkware as well as some accessories in select coffeehouses across the US and Canada (prices may vary).

When Will Starbucks Drop Its New Dandy Merch and Orange Cream Drink Menu?

All five drinks, as well as its new Dandy collection, will be available at Starbucks locations nationwide starting on Tuesday, July 28. Until then, fans can enjoy the rest of its summer drink menu, which includes creations like the Butterfly Refresher and the Unicorn Cake Pop.

Kate Hudson Just Shared New String Bikini Photos From Greece—and Fans Can’t Get Enough

Mon, 07/06/2026 - 10:08am

Kate Hudson's summer vacation photos are setting the Internet on fire.

The acclaimed actress, 47, who rose to stardom as Penny Lane in 2000’s beloved musical film Almost Famous, solidified her star status over the years with roles in films like How to Lose a Guy in 10 DaysBride Wars, and Song Sung Blue. Now starring in the second season of the hilarious Netflix basketball series Running Point, the star took to Instagram to share stunning bathing suit photos from her vacation in the Greek Islands. Pictured on the stunning island of Skiathos, Hudson sported a black string bikini as she prepped to jump off a boat into the crystal blue ocean.

In the following photos, Hudson showed the beautiful oasis as she enjoyed her holiday with her family. From speed boats to Greek cuisine, the family looks like they had a great time.

Hudson’s Perspective on Parenting

Hudson, who is the daughter of legendary actress Goldie Hawn, has three children, Ryder, 22, Bingham, 14, and Rani, 7. She spoke candidly in a new interview about the values she’s instilled in her children as she’s gotten older.

“Well, my thing is, if my kids drive or purpose is for fame and success, then it’s something that would feel like a failure of mine,” Hudson told Fox News Digital. “If that is how they equate feeling significant, then, you know, they’re being fed a lie.”

Instead, she hopes they find something that truly excites them in life, rather than placing all the emphasis on getting famous.

“So, for me, the most important thing for me with my kids is that they feel self-possessed, that they understand what really drives purpose, and what does a purposeful life look like for them, and where do they hold their values, right? What are those values and why? And if you value fame and success, we’d probably have a big sit-down,” Hudson continued.

In a Wall Street First, Trump Rings NYSE Bell from Oval Office—See How a Group of Kids Stole the Show

Mon, 07/06/2026 - 10:07am

Donald Trump rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq on Monday morning. But he didn’t do it from New York City. Instead, the President marked the launch of ‘Trump Accounts’ with a Wall Street-worthy history-making event from the Oval Office. But that’s not all!

The commander in chief was joined by a few very special guests. And no, we aren’t talking about celebrities or world leaders. Okay, so Trump did actually invite some pretty prominent figures to the White House for this occasion.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Dell chief Michael Dell and his wife Susan Dell (who pledged to donate over $6 billion to the Trump Accounts program), CEO and founder of Altimeter Capital, Brad Gerstner, Senator Ted Cruz, Intercontinental Exchange CEO Jeffrey Sprecher, NYSE President Lynn Martin, and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Paul Atkins all attended the event.

But the politicians and billionaires in the room were overshadowed by a group of children. Of course, the kiddos stole the show. Who could pay attention to anything the President or Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had to say when the absolutely adorable children fidgeted, gave the thumbs up, and looked over-the-top excited to be standing in the Oval Office? And speaking of Bessent, his dashing, dapper double (a little boy wearing an identical suit and sky-blue tie) had everyone’s attention.

View this post on Instagram

Before ringing the bell, Trump spoke to the room of reporters about his new accounts for kids, saying, “Children can, at the age of 18 and after, become very wealthy people. Come into the world with essentially no money, and end up at a pretty young age, very rich. And that’s something that we wanted to do, that this country has wanted to do for 25 years.”

So what exactly are Trump Accounts? According to the Trump Accounts website, children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, will receive $1,000. The account is in the child’s name, but parents can contribute up to $5,000 each year.

Trump continued his pre-bell-ringing intro, adding, “I just want to thank everybody. It’s a great honor. We’ll have a little fun, and we want to be exactly on time. Are we allowed to be 15, 20, 30 seconds late?”

The President also asked, “And does that bell stay in the White House? Because I’m not giving it back. I’m going to put that in the middle of the new ballroom.” And yes, it can stay.

As the clock struck 9:30 (the precise time the NYSE opens), Trump walked over to the cute kiddos and said, “I want to stand next to these soon-to-be very rich people.” Rich or not, it looks like this group enjoyed their day!

First up there’s the loaded jalapeño original chicken sandwich, which adds a spicy twist to the menu item with creamy jalapeño sauce, crispy and pickled jalapeños, crispy onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and American cheese. If you’re not a fan of spicy food, but want an elevated take on the chicken sandwich, there’s also the new club chicken version, which comes with crispy bacon, melted Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and creamy mayonnaise. Both will be available for a limited time at participating Burger King restaurants starting on July 7.

Kate Middleton's Brother James Shares Rare Sibling Photo Following Three Peaks Challenge: 'So Incredibly Proud'

Mon, 07/06/2026 - 9:59am

Kate Middleton's brother James Middleton shared a heartfelt tribute to his sister on Sunday after the two completed the Three Peaks Challenge following the future queen's cancer journey.

"I’m so incredibly proud of my darling sister," he began his lengthy caption below the photo of the two hugging. "Two years ago, I told you we’d climb this mountain together. We talked about climbing mountains while you were in hospital, and about the incredible healing power that nature can have for both the body and the mind. So it was such an honor to join you for your Three Peaks Challenge for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity."

View this post on Instagram

Kate, who completed the challenge in June also shared family photos upon completing the trek, where hikers climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales, as well.

"Seeing how far you’ve come is nothing short of inspiring. Your strength, resilience, and determination, all while being the most amazing mother, wife, daughter, and sister, inspire me and so many others every single day," he added. "Keep being exactly who you are."

While James has managed to stay out of the royal spotlight for the most part, he and his wife Alizee Thevenet regularly attend red carpet events together. He is the founder of a dog food company, author, and advocate for mental health. Sharing photos with Kate is rare for James, however he has continued to show his support for his older sister throughout her cancer journey.

Upon news of her diagnosis in March 2024, he shared a sweet photo of the two as kids, with the caption, "Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too."

The princess stepped away from royal duties for months as she underwent chemotherapy treatments. The mom-of-three, now in remission, took on the Three Peaks Challenge where to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Following the challenge, Kate has shared her experience both on Instagram and on the charity's website.

"I have taken on the National Three Peaks Challenge, not simply as a physical endeavor but as a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back," she wrote. "The Royal Marsden is a place that holds great meaning for me and whose care and expertise are life changing for so many people."
