“They’ve handled it with class. It’s a tough thing to go through very, very publicly,” he said.
“I mean, as married guys, if we had to go through something like that that publicly, it’s really tough on both parties and they’ve both handled it well,” Mooney added. “We want the best for both of them. They’re great.”
Smyers also shouted out Jelly Roll for an Instagram post he shared Tuesday where he reflected on his ongoing fitness and weight loss journey.
“The post he did was amazing,” he said. “I was like, ‘Damn, that’s my guy.’ It was cool."

'90s Rock Band, With No. 1 Hit Song, Announces 7th Annual Festival
Deftones have announced some exciting news for their fans.
The alternative metal and rock band revealed the lineup for their seventh annual Dia De Los Deftones festival, which will take place at San Diego's Petco Park on Nov. 7. This year, the lineup consists of AFI, The Neighbourhood, Converge, Jehnny Beth, Bktherula, Ladrones, Lip Critic, LustSickPuppy, and, of course, Deftones themselves.
Previous lineups of the Dia De Los Deftones festival have included Doja Cat, Future, Sunny Day Real Estate, Paris Texas, 2hollis, Rico Nasty and more.
View this post on InstagramDia De Los Deftones is an annual music festival curated by the Deftones that celebrates the band's diverse musical influences and connection to their fan community. The event debuted in 2018 at Petco Park in San Diego, and was conceived as a destination festival that blends heavy music with artists spanning the hip-hop, electronic, alternative and indie genres.
After a hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dia De Los Deftones returned in 2021 and has since become a recurring event held each fall in San Diego. Rather than focusing solely on metal, the festival reflects the broad musical tastes of Deftones frontman Chino Moreno and his bandmates, offering fans a one-day experience that showcases artists from multiple genres alongside a headlining performance from Deftones.
In an interview last year with Revolver, Moreno spoke with the magazine about the importance of having different genres in their annual music festival, knowing that they could probably be just as successful if they hosted an all-metal or an all-goth festival.
"We’re fans of lots of different music. When I was in high school, I thought I was kind of weird because I listen to goth music and Rush at the same time," the 53-year-old musician answered. "Now it seems like you’re not judged as much for liking a variety of things."
Deftones perform in concert during day 2 of the Primavera Sound Festival at Parque da Cidade on June 13, 2025 in Porto, Portugal.Deftones was formed by Moreno, Stephen Carpenter and Abe Cunningham when they were just teenagers living in Sacramento. After years of playing local clubs, the band broke through with their 1995 debut album Adrenaline before gaining wider recognition with Around the Fur two years later. In 2000, Deftones released White Pony, which earned them a Grammy Award and is widely considered one of the defining rock albums of its era.
Often associated with the nu-metal movement, Deftones distinguished themselves by blending the shoegaze, dream-pop, indie and rock genres, inspiring generations of alternative and heavy artists. Their atmospheric sound and willingness to evolve have helped them remain influential for nearly four decades. The band's best-known song, "Change (In the House of Flies)," became their highest-charting single and remains a staple of modern rock radio.
Last summer, "my mind is a mountain," the lead single from private music, their tenth studio album, reached No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay and the Hot Hard Rock Songs charts. Their rise to the top also set a Mainstream Rock Airplay record, as they waited 27 years, three months and one week to earn their first No. 1 hit — the longest such span for any group in the chart's 44-year history.
View the original article to see embedded media.
"I feel like we're much more into making sounds than we are writing songs," Moreno told Zane Lowe in a sit-down interview last year. "The sounds are the ones really inspiring us."
"We're creating soundscapes, if you will, and there's just some things for me, my instinct and where I gravitate to always is hearing a chord ring out or palm-muted stuff, that's what I'm really into," Carpenter added on. "I'm at a place now where I'm more interested in putting in stuff that I'm unfamiliar with and trying to be more than just the power chord. But I still end up back there, that's the problem."
Chino Moreno of Deftones performs during Lollapalooza at Grant Park on August 03, 2024 in Chicago, Illinois. Before headlining their own festival, Deftones will embark on a European/UK tour in August, then play at the Sick New World festival in Fort Worth, Texas, on Oct. 24.
The presale for Dia De Los Deftones music festival takes place on Wednesday at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster, while general onsale will go public on Friday morning.

It comes in two neutral colors, including cream and gray, and each hue has a slightly different corduroy pattern. The L-shaped layout offers a chaise for lounging, but its overall size makes it a breeze to move and situate in compact spaces. The deep seat also makes it extra cozy for movie nights, naps, or sitting with your legs tucked up.
Shoppers have described it as “so soft” and “extremely comfortable,” with one writing, “It is the perfect size for a narrow living space.” Another called it the “best sofa ever,” and mentioned it’s “perfect for small spaces.” Other reviewers even said it’s “absolutely one of the best purchases I've made,” and “very easily the comfiest couch I've ever had.”
The cream option would look gorgeous in a soft neutral room with light wood furniture, warm lighting, or a patterned rug and other soft decor. The gray is a more forgiving choice for everyday use, especially in a home with kids and pets, and would pair nicely with walnut finishes or darker pillows.

100-Year-Old Moisturizer, Celebrated as One of the Best Beauty Products Ever Created, Remains a Powerful ‘Do-It-All’ Essential 10 Decades Later
Weleda Skin Food Ultra Rich Cream, a multi-purpose moisturizer originally launched a full century ago in 1926, remains a top-rated product 100 years later. The beloved item was ranked among the greatest beauty products of all time on a list of 100 of the best releases ever by Beauty Inc.’s Women’s Wear Daily.
For context, the lineup—published in February 2026—comprises several heavy-hitters across skincare, makeup, hair styling tools, and more, with the most iconic picks “chosen by the people who know best—beauty industry insiders,” the outlet announced. “These products are all ‘original, and either reimagine or simply imagine something that doesn’t exist,’ said Linda Wells, editor of Air Mail Look and founding editor of Allure, who acknowledged the saturation of today’s market and likened the current rate of new product development to running a marathon at the pace of a sprint.”
Adding Weleda's Skin Food Ultra Rich Cream, which retails for about $14 to $23 depending on size, to the all-encompassing list is an understandable choice given its proven, century-old formula. Plus, the popular product is rated 4.5/5 stars with over 35K Amazon reviews. Officially, it’s described as "the ultimate moisturizer for dry, rough skin."
"Our best-selling product that originally launched in 1926 and has been a cult favorite ever since. The rich plant blend formula transforms skin to appear more luminous," the brand states online.
WWD hailed the product “a panacea for dehydrated skin head-to-toe,” adding that the nostalgic staple has even become a social media star: "The plant-powered cream has amassed over 100 beauty awards and more than 48 million TikTok views." Further, the “results-oriented” buy has become an industry must-have over time, with one unit still being sold every eight seconds globally. And after being around for 100 years, that kind of staying power is no easy feat.
Beauty industry professionals also chimed in on why Weleda's Skin Food Ultra Rich Cream has become a tried-and-true cabinet classic. Jolie De Feis, lead esthetician at Practise NYC who was named one of the Best Facialists in New York by New York Magazine, described the product as a trailblazer in the industry, calling it "a genuinely unique case study in cosmetics."
"In many ways ahead of its time, then somehow re-emerging right in time. The botanical formula remains essentially unchanged since it first debuted in 1926, developed with formulation practices and philosophies that echo a lot of what we see in modern skincare," De Feis told Parade. "It uses whole-plant extraction processes and contains medicinal botanicals, like calendula, rosemary, viola tricolor and chamomile all suspended in a thick, emollient-heavy base. Basically, it used skin-identical lipids and framework of barrier support decades before everyone else named it."
"Even as skincare trends moved away from barrier support and became harsher and stripping, the formula remained the same. In the meantime, it became a sort of backstage staple and makeup artist secret to smooth rough skin, soothe irritation and double as a natural highlighter. Eventually, the skincare conversation circled back to barrier-first thinking and Skin Food was perfectly situated to have a comeback," the esthetician added.
View this post on InstagramMade specifically for dry skin types, it has become known for its ultra-thick consistency and instantly recognizable scent. Users claim a little goes a long way, and that it can be applied to many different areas; beauty publication Byrdie similarly dubbed it a "do-it-all cream."
One fan is a self-proclaimed loyalist after noticing positive changes:"It’s been a game changer. Kept my parched skin moisturized all winter, and people kept remarking how I just glowed! I also like that I’m not putting lots of chemicals on my face."
But, alas, no product can be perfect for everyone. There are mixed reviews regarding the product's texture, fragrance, and heaviness. Some claim it doesn’t live up to the hype, with others reporting that it has a downright “awful” smell (which is said to be more on the earthy-citrusy side), is "too thick and greasy for the face," and clogs pores/causes breakouts.
Providing more insight into what went into choosing which favorites made the final cut on the roundup, WWD added, “True hero products all share similar attributes. ‘Fundamentally, the product has to be extraordinary, and you need to know how to get the consumer to fall in love,’ said Jane Hertzmark Hudis, executive vice president and chief brand officer at the Estée Lauder Cos. Pointing to formula performance, sensoriality, packaging and marketing, she continued, ‘All of that has to work together in a cogent way to make you love it — not just for the week, but for life. And that’s the difference.’”
Bailey Zimmerman Breaks Silence on Criminal Charges: 'Deeply Sorry'
Bailey Zimmerman is breaking his silence on the charges he's facing in for allegedly destroying his New Mexico hotel room.
The country star is facing felony and misdemeanor criminal charges after allegedly wrecking his hotel room in May and causing more than $16k in damage.
"First things first, I want to apologize to the Pueblo of Sandia and to everyone at Sandia Resort & Casino," Zimmerman said in a statement shared with TMZ on Tuesday, June 23. "I never meant for any of this to come across as disrespectful. I am deeply sorry for my actions that transpired. I respect your community and the hospitality and appreciate the opportunity that was given to me to perform on Native Land. I take full accountability for everything that happened and I am sorry to anyone who feels hurt or disrespected."
"To my fans who bought tickets and showed up expecting a performance, I am so sorry, you deserved better from me," he continued. "I understand that being a musician comes with big responsibilities, both on and off stage, and I know that I fell short that day. I am reflecting on the disappointment and concern that I caused."
The singer concluded, ""I am taking this legal matter seriously. I am committed to doing the work necessary to learn and grow. Thank you to my fans for holding me accountable and for understanding that I am human. I do not take your support for granted."
RELATED: Bailey Zimmerman Faces Felony Charge for Allegedly Trashing New Mexico Hotel Room
Prosecutors in New Mexico are seeking a felony charge for criminal damage to property and a misdemeanor charge of falsely obtaining services stemming from an incident that allegedly occurred on May 27, 2026.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the singer allegedly trashed his hotel room before canceling his concert in Albuquerque that night and was later kicked out of the resort he was staying in.
The damage allegedly affected the TV, phone, coffee table, and 2 chairs. Staff also reported a hole in one wall, damage to other walls, stains on the carpet, and 2 missing chairs.
The hotel also claims Zimmerman charged over $400 worth of alcohol to the room without settling his tab. The documents allege that both hotel staff and police tried to contact the singer and his team, but no one responded—leading to an arrest warrant being issued.
At the time of the show’s cancellation, Zimmerman said it was due to an undisclosed illness.
“Y’all know there’s nothing I love more than getting out on the road and playing these shows for you, so it’s so hard for me to have to say this, but I have to reschedule tonight’s (5/27) and Saturday’s (5/30) shows,” Zimmerman wrote on Instagram at the time, letting fans know that his concerts in Albuquerque and Rohnert Park, California, were going to be rescheduled.
“I have not been feeling well and have tried to power through, but I’m not able to give you all the show you deserve,” he added. “I hate letting y’all down and was really looking forward to these shows, but I gotta take care of myself so I can get back out there stronger.”
Olympic Medalist Breaks Silence After Drug Arrest
Olympic skier Bode Miller has broken his silence after news of his recent arrest broke.
"I was pulled over for accelerating while passing another vehicle on a highway in Idaho," Miller shared in a statement via Instagram on Tuesday, June 23. "My friend, who was traveling with me, had a small amount of cannabis and a cannabis pipe in his possession which I was unaware of."
Miller continued, "We fully cooperated with the officer. I am hopeful the misdemeanor charges will be dropped once the facts are reviewed."
The retired athlete was arrested earlier this month and charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to TMZ.
Contrary to Miller's account, the arresting officer claimed in the probable cause affidavit that Miller was in possession of a white dispensary bag containing 4.1 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, the outlet reported.
Miller pleaded not guilty to both counts and was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
The former alpine ski racer's arrest came just days before the anniversary of his daughter's death. In June 2018, Miller and wife Morgan Beck lost their then-19-month-old daughter, Emeline, in a drowning accident.
Ohio Supreme Court Rejects Mackenzie Shirilla's Late Appeal
Mackenzie Shirilla's latest appeal has been denied by the Supreme Court of Ohio, Cleveland 19 reports.
A filing signed by Chief Justice Sharon Kennedy stated that they would not review due to the late filing and "that the trial court correctly determined it was without jurisdiction to consider the petition.”
Under Ohio law, defendants have 365 days after their trial transcripts are filed to challenge their conviction. However, Shirilla’s lawyers missed the deadline to file a post-conviction challenge by one day, saying the reason was that they didn't take into account that 2024 was a leap year.
They decided to appeal the conviction, alleging that “there is medical evidence” that Shirilla “suffered from a pre-existing medical condition that could have caused her to black out while driving.” They also said that her attorney didn’t “properly investigate this possibility initially,” TMZ reported at the end of May.
Specifically, in the documentary, she stated that the medical condition was postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), which "is a condition that causes a number of symptoms when you transition from lying down to standing up, such as a fast heart rate, dizziness and fatigue,” according to the Cleveland Clinic
Her first appeal for a new trial was also denied.
Shirilla was convicted in 2023 of murder in the deaths of her boyfriend, Dominic Russo, and their friend, Davion Flanagan, after she drove her car into a brick wall, going nearly 100 mph. She was sentenced to two concurrent terms of 15 years to life with eligibility for parole in 2037 at 33 years old. She is incarcerated in the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville.
Her case received increased attention due to the Netflix true crime documentary titled The Crash, going in-depth on the details of the case.
Grammy Winner, 37, Was Given One Week to Live
Grammy Award winner Muni Long — real name Priscilla Hamilton — was given just one week to live.
Long, 37, has been vocal about her battles with lupus, but opened up about another devastating health battle during a Tuesday, June 23, appearance on Good Morning America.
"Well, the road is tough like even when you are healthy, but and I should have I should have never taken that tour, but there was so much going on in my life where I had to do it," Long told Robin Roberts about touring with Brandy and Monica in 2025.
She added, "About midway through, you know, we're up in like the Northeast, it's really cold and with autoimmune, like the cold is not your friend. And so, I got really sick. I got I got pneumonia and I had to step away for a few dates."
Despite returning to the stage, her health continued to deteriorate.
"I couldn't even get out of bed to make my call time for a stage. In the last show, I just barely made it. I was only able to do two songs," she shared.
Long was ultimately told by doctors that she needed a double lung transplant, giving her just one week to live.
"This is not a joke. You need to make a choice. You can either go to hospice or you can get these lungs," she recalled being told.
She ultimately underwent the transplant surgery and is currently six months post-op.
"No symptoms, asymptomatic, no infections, none of that," she shared. "Then I have my vocal checkup six months will be in August because I had to have vocal surgery as well...If you don't have your health, you don't have anything."

Former 'All My Children' Star Marcy Walker Navigating Serious Health Issues
Marcy Walker, who is best known for playing Liza Colby on "All My Children," is dealing with a serious health issue, according to a GoFundMe for the actress.
While the fundraising page didn't go into detail about Walker's condition or what specific medial issue she is dealing with, the page said that help "is urgently needed."
"Today, Marcy needs our help," the page reads. "While she has spent years giving her time, energy, and heart to others—both as an actress and later through her dedicated ministry and community work—she is currently navigating an ongoing health issue where financial support is urgently needed."
The GoFundMe further stated that every single dollar raised is going to Walker and will help her with "essential medical expenses, giving her the peace of mind she deserves." The page has a goal of $15,000, and was nearly at that goal with over $13,000 as of Tuesday, June 23, at 11:00 p.m. With that, they emphasized that the ways to help are through donating, sharing the page, and leaving a message of support and encouragement.
"Thank you for your incredible generosity, your enduring loyalty, and for proving that the bond between Marcy and her fans is just as strong today as it was thirty years ago," the page concluded. "Let’s show Marcy exactly how much she means to us."
This comes after Walker's Santa Barbara co-star, A Martinez, shared news of Walker's illness. Specifically, he revealed in an Instagram video the reason for fans being charged to attend a special livestream event between him and Walker that took place on June 7.
“Some folks have expressed disappointment over the cost,” Martinez said. “Now, out of respect for my partner’s privacy, I did not speak to the reasons for the fee when I first posted.”
“The fact is, Marcy has been ill and is working hard to get well,” he continued. “And in the process, has come face to face with the financial challenges that so often plague those of us unlucky enough to need serious medical care in our country. She is in that need.”
All proceeds from the event went to help Walker with her medical bills.
Grammy-Winning Hardcore Band Announces Tour With Special Guests
Love that rare hardcore band that can start a mosh pit and a dance party at the same time? Then clear your calendar this fall: Turnstile just announced The Never Enough Tour Part 2.
Kicking off this September in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the band is making stops throughout the nation, hitting both coasts and Toronto, and wrapping up in Santa Ana, California, in October, for a total of 16 cities.
View this post on InstagramSpecial guests joining Turnstile on the road include Clypse, Cold World, Fiddlehead, Haywire, Pennywise, Thundercat, Vince Staples, and Yves Tumor.
The tour presale opens Thursday, June 25, with general sale starting Friday, June 26 — both at 10 a.m. local time. And, according to Blabbermouth, Turnstile partnered with local nonprofits for the tour. Those organizations will be on the ground at each respective pit stop.
As for Turnstile themselves, the band is still riding the high off their Grammy-winning album, Never Enough. Released June 6, 2025, “the expansive collection is a restless and exhilarating evolution of TURNSTILE's genre-defying sound and is a transformative journey, both fearless and alive, by one of the most forward-thinking and influential bands of their generation,” Blabbermouth writes.
In addition to the record, Turnstile released a companion film, Turnstile: Never Enough, directed by band members BrendanYates and PatMcCrory.
Formed in 2010, the Baltimore rock band has gained popularity since their debut, Nonstop Feeling, in January 2015. A genre-defying group, they’re classified as hardcore but skew more alternative, with their roots firmly planted in skate, pop-punk, and early NYC hardcore.
Currently, the Turnstile lineup includes Brendan Yates (lead vocals), Franz Lyons (bass, vocals), Pat McCrory (guitar), Daniel Fang (drums), and Meg Mills (guitar).
Founding guitarist Brady Ebert officially parted ways with the band in August 2022. Ebert was later charged with attempted murder. You can read more about that story here.

The floral Clarks Merliah2 Kyla Heeled Sandal is no exception, but it brings a more seasonal, style-forward twist.
During the week-long Amazon Prime Day event, this pair is marked down to just $30, 68% off its original $95 price. The structure still delivers the supportive base Clarks shoes are known for, while the floral embellishment adds a bit of personality. It’s an easy entry point for shoppers who already trust the brand for comfort, but want something that feels a little more current, a little more fun, and better suited to summer.
Clarks Merliah2 Kyla Heeled Sandal, From $30 (was $95) at Amazon Shop at AmazonThese sandals look a little more special than average flip-flops thanks to the oversized floral accent that sits front and center on the upper. The flower resembles a blooming water lily or lotus, with multiple layers of rounded petals stacked on top of one another to create dimension and movement. Each petal is individually cut out and outlined with contrast stitching, giving the design a handcrafted feel. At the center, a small bead-like accent acts as the flower's "stamen," drawing the eye inward.
Behind the bloom, perforated panels and layered leather pieces create even more texture, while subtle variations in tone throughout the upper help each petal stand out. The adjustable riptape strap is cleverly integrated into the design, allowing you to customize the fit without disrupting the look of the flower. Underfoot, a cushioned, perforated insole offers breathable comfort and support, paired with a softly rounded toe shape.
The floral motif gives these sandals a feminine, garden-inspired look that pairs especially well with breezy summer clothing. They complement eyelet tops, sundresses, tiered skirts, denim shorts, and linen capris. Because the flower functions almost like jewelry for your feet, they can instantly dress up a simple tank-and-shorts outfit. The textured, anti-slip two-inch wedge adds a touch of height while still being stable, making them an easy choice for outings with friends, dinners, and special occasions.
The sandal comes in five color options, including white, denim, black, metallic gold, and red, making it easy to find a pair that fits seamlessly into your summer wardrobe. Sizing is notably inclusive, ranging from 5 to 12 in half sizes, with narrow, medium, and wide widths available. Availability and pricing can vary depending on the size and color selected, so it’s worth double-checking before adding to your cart.
Shoppers adored these “super cute” and “stylish” sandals, dubbing them as “perfect for all-day wear” yet “polished enough for everyday summer outfits.” One reviewer said that “the soles are beautifully cushioned, providing a supportive, almost bouncy feel with every step,” giving the style “sneaker-level comfort.”

Supergroup Announces Exciting Update on North America Tour
The Black Queen, the rock supergroup, dropped a surprising announcement for fans as they announced an extended Fever Daydream 10th anniversary tour.
Following the huge success of their North American run, which ran from May 7 to June 6, the band, fronted by Greg Puciato of Better Lovers and Killer Be Killed and formerly The Dillinger Escape Plan, will be embarking on a string of shows this fall.
In an Instagram update, the group announced a 22-date tour, kicking things off in September in California before concluding the run in October in Arizona.
The Black Queen founders Puciato and former Nine Inch Nails and Dillinger Escape Plan tour tech Steven Ryan Alexander are hitting the stage along with Danny Lohner on guitar and Chris Pennie on drums.
Official ticket sales are set to begin on June 26 at 10 a.m. local time.
View this post on InstagramWith the second leg now underway, the supergroup expressed their overwhelming gratitude for the huge support from fans.
“For a lot of this band's life, it has existed, for us, mainly as an abstract feeling or place, a dimension in our hearts and imaginations,” the Los Angeles-based band said in a statement cited by Lambgoat, adding, “For only four of the 15 years of its existence. So, when we announced the first tour back, after seven years of not playing, we were excited, but we couldn't predict the reaction. We couldn't even predict how we'd feel ourselves once we got going. We also didn't know at the time that we'd be joined by Danny Lohner and Chris Pennie. Once we got this new chapter up and running, and all the pieces and personnel on and offstage snowballed their way into place, and we saw and heard you again in person, this whole thing became filled with new life, with new ideas, with new musical dynamics and interpretations.”
Moreover, The Black Queen recalled the thrill of creating their debut album, noting that even as they celebrated its 10th anniversary, the record feels as fresh and exciting as it did when they first made it.
Greg Puciato of Better Lovers and Killer Be Killed, performs during Carolina Rebellion at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 5, 2017.“What started as a 'looking back' celebration of an album has suddenly become a real-time celebration of a new chapter of possibilities and memories for us personally and creatively. We want to stay in this moment just a bit longer before we move on to LP3. So, here's our second, and final for this chapter, North American leg. See you soon,” the band said.

1979 Cult Classic Film To Become Lin-Manuel Miranda Broadway Musical
More than a decade after Hamilton became one of the most important pieces of theater of the 21st century, Lin-Manuel Miranda is returning to Broadway with a new show.
Producers have announced that Miranda's first original stage musical since the Pulitzer Prize-winning Hamiltonwill be a stage adaptation of Warriors.
Based on director Walter Hill's 1979 cult classic The Warriors and the 1965 novel of the same name by Sol Yurick, Warriors centers on a Coney Island street gang. This gang must make their way across New York City after being falsely accused of assassinating the gang leader who had attempted to unite the city's rival crews.
Miranda will co-write the musical with Eisa Davis, and performances begin at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in March 2027, ahead of an opening night in April. This musical originated as a 2024 concept album produced by Nas and featuring the likes of Billy Portman, Lauryn Hill, Busta Rhymes and Colman Domingo. Miranda and Davis’s concept album notably gender-flips the original story, focusing the action on an all-female gang.
"With Warriors, we take a fateful journey through New York City full of heart and grit as our characters fight to survive," Miranda and Davis said in a joint statement per People. "Musicalizing such a vibrant world for the concept album has been a thrill, and now we're coming out to play on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne. We can't wait."
Miranda's Hamilton was a groundbreaking work of art which totally transformed the landscape of modern musicals. It won 11 Tony awards, a Grammy Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. While he has not made another original musical, he has expanded into film, lending his songwriting skills to Moana, Encanto and Vivo. He also directed tick, tick... BOOM! with Andrew Garfield and will helm the upcoming Octet with Rachel Zegler.
Casting for the Broadway production of Warriors has not been announced, but there is plenty more news to come about the adaptation.

Disneyland Paris Suspends Outdoor Attractions Amid Historic Heat Wave This Week
If you have a dream vacation to Europe on the books for this week, the packing list isn't the only thing you’ll need to alter. Western Europe is currently locked in the grip of a staggering, historic heat dome that has forced local governments into absolute crisis mode. According to official meteorological data from Météo-France, daytime highs are soaring past a grueling 44 degrees Celsius (roughly 104 degrees Fahrenheit), sparking a maximum "red alert" designation across more than half of the country. In direct response to the escalating public health emergency, theme park operations are shifting dramatically. Disneyland Paris has officially suspended operations for all outdoor attractions across both Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World until the unprecedented weather breaks.
Related: The Secret Strategy Behind Paris’ New Disney Adventure World
The decision to pause outdoor rides was first spotlighted on social media by the insider account @ED92Magic, which confirmed that all exterior tracks and open-air queues would close until further notice due to the dangerous conditions.
According to a rolling report by the theme park blog Inside the Magic, visitors on the ground should expect any experience with meaningful outdoor exposure—including fan favorites like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop—to remain offline during the peak heat of the day.
Redditors visiting yesterday were detailing significant closures and suggested looking to the official Disneyland Paris app for real-time updates. Theme park reporters from SortirAParis note that while about 80% of the resort's attraction spaces feature covered or indoor queues, any fully exterior tracks—such as roller coaster layouts or uncovered spinning rides—will remain closed during peak afternoon temperatures. Furthermore, local authorities have mandated that the park's nightly Cascade of Lights show proceed without its signature fireworks to eliminate regional fire risks.
To put the severity of this weather event into perspective, French officials are openly comparing the current atmospheric setup to the devastating heat wave of August 2003, which resulted in an estimated 15,000 casualties and prompted the creation of the nation's modern emergency alert system.

Because historic cities like Paris lack the widespread, heavy-duty residential air conditioning infrastructure commonly found in domestic parks like Walt Disney World in Orlando, public safety measures are being enforced aggressively. According to Inside the Magic, more than 1,350 schools have been ordered shut, public transit networks are playing constant hydration advisories, and iconic cultural institutions like the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower are drastically shortening public viewing hours to protect staff and guests.
For travelers currently at the resort, salvaging the magic requires dropping the fast-paced itinerary and pivoting entirely toward climate-controlled spaces. Fortunately, both parks host an array of high-quality indoor theater shows, enclosed walk-through environments, and air-conditioned dark rides that remain fully operational.
If you're still planning a visit tomorrow, fluid intake and strict shade management are absolutely non-negotiable. Families should treat outdoor paths merely as brief transit zones between air-conditioned buildings. If your travel dates have any flexibility, delaying a park visit until Météo-France projects a late-week cooling trend is a smart strategy to ensure you actually get the full, unrestricted Disney experience you paid for.

1968 Hit From Rock’s First Supergroup Makes for One of the Greatest Classic Rock Movie Moments
Cream’s 1968 chart-climbing masterpiece, “White Room,” is a song that drifts through surreal imagery to explore profound isolation. So, when director Todd Phillips needle-dropped the track into the climax of his 2019 film, Joker, it doesn’t just fit the moment — it reframes the entire descent.
What might otherwise read as a straightforward eruption of chaos becomes, under Cream’s haze, something more like a dissociative fever dream, where the line between reality and delusion is nonexistent.
Without giving anything away, the “White Room” scene comes at the end of the film when Arthur, played byJoaquin Phoenix, now fully transformed into his unhinged persona, is riding in the backseat of a police cruiser. Seeing the violent, apocalyptic-like chaos unfolding in the streets of Gotham, he smiles and embraces the disorder.
In other words: The Joker is born.
Used as a twisted victory anthem, Cream’s “White Room” plays over the scene with its lyrics mirroring Arthur’s psychological state.
According toAmerican Songwriter, bassist Jack Bruce composed “White Room,” which was adapted from lyricist Pete Brown’s eight-page poem of the same name. Brown wrote the piece while he was living in a stark white apartment in London, where he detoxed alone from drugs and alcohol.
“There was this kind of transitional period where I lived in this actual white room and was trying to come to terms with various things that were going on,” Brown told Songfacts. “It’s a place where I stopped, I gave up all drugs and alcohol at that time in 1967 as a result of being in the white room, so it was a kind of watershed period.
"That song’s like a kind of weird little movie: It changes perspectives all the time. That’s why it’s probably lasted -- it’s got a kind of mystery to it.”
Bruce then turned Brown’s thoughtful stanzas into powerful verses, sharing that he was inspired by the driving riffs of one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
“The inspiration for the music came from meeting Jimi Hendrix and his approach to playing,” Bruce once said, according to Forbes. “In fact, he came to the recording session in New York and said to me, ‘I wish I could write something like that.’ I said, ‘But it comes from you!’”
Released in the summer of 1968 as part of their double album, Wheels of Fire, “White Room” was issued as a single later that year in September. The song reached No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100, proving to be their second-best performer after “Sunshine of Your Love,” which hit No. 5.
@loescucheenpeliculas🎞️ Joker (2019) 📀 Cream - White Room #joker #joaquinphoenix #toddphillips #cream #movieclips #moviesoundtrack #loescucheenpeliculas
♬ sonido original - JNAGERS“Music for everyone is the soundtrack of their life; everybody has a different soundtrack,” Phillips said in an interview. “So while Arthur might be left-footed with the world, he has this music inside of him.”
The track’s inclusion in Phillips’ film is a fitting lens for both Arthur and Cream, rock's first supergoup (bassist Jack Bruce, guitarist Eric Clapton, drummer Ginger Baker), whose brief but seismic impact turned them into something almost mythic, much like the psychotic break happening within the Joker.
