Bryan Seaver was tasked with announcing the death of his beloved aunt, Dolly Parton, after years of serving as her head of security. However, less than one month after the “I Will Always Love You” artist’s death, Seaver and his entire team have been fired.

According to TMZ, Seaver was dismissed from all of Parton’s properties last Wednesday, September 16, amid drama surrounding the country icon’s estate.

Seaver’s replacement has already been installed at Parton’s Nashville, Tennessee, home, her museum, a downtown residence and warehouse, TMZ reported.

“We remain unshakably resolved to fulfill her final directive to protect her family, and we refuse to be intimidated by those whose actions we believe are being taken in bad faith and with the intent to profit from the life of someone who willingly gave so much,” Seaver and his team told the outlet, pointing to Parton’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell, as the mastermind.

Parton — who had personally requested her nephew announce her death in a video message to fans years before her passing — died on August 25 after a brief battle with cancer.

“My family and I have shared a lifetime of beautiful memories with Dolly. But so have you. She has always been on your television, your record player, your CD and on your phone’s playlist, becoming an extended part of your family whether you liked it or not,” Seaver shared in a heartfelt video announcement at the time.

The “9 to 5” artist was laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Carl Dean, in a small, private ceremony held for close family.

Despite his removal as head of security, TMZ noted that Seaver’s personal interest in Parton’s trust “remains intact.”

Her Father’s Reaction to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Jude Law may be one of the most famous actors in the world, but he’s still a dad. So when he saw his daughter’s outfit for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last year, he didn’t quite know what to say.

“Is that lingerie?” Jude said to his daughter, whom he shares with ex-wife Sadie Frost.

Iris reassured him by saying, “But I’m wearing a T-shirt,” the model revealed during an interview with Extra.

Still, Iris admitted she had significant jitters about hitting the runway.

“I was so nervous yesterday… You know when you’re so nervous that you get, like, sleepy in the rehearsal…? But now I feel great,” she shared, noting that all the women she was working with were very supportive. “I know a lot of the girls, and everyone was just being super nice and talking about how they feel and everyone’s nervous, but everyone’s excited, so it was just really fun.”

Michael Strahan caught Howie Long making a simple math mistake while talking about Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen during the FOX NFL Sunday Week 2 pregame show.

Long was praising Allen’s strong start to the 2026 NFL season when he gave the quarterback’s touchdown numbers. But the numbers he listed did not match the total he announced.

“He’s got 10 touchdowns right now, five passing, four rushing,” Long said during the live broadcast. “He’s unstoppable. Right now, he looks like not just the best quarterback in football; he might be the best player in football.”

Strahan quickly noticed the problem.

“Because he said he’s got 10 touchdowns, five passing, four rushing, that’s nine,” Strahan said.

Long immediately realized his mistake.

“Oh, that is nine,” he replied.

The short exchange gave the FOX NFL Sunday desk a funny moment before the NFL’s Week 2 games got underway. Strahan laughed as the camera showed the longtime co-hosts, while host Curt Menefee asked what had caught his attention.

Menefee then added another joke by bringing Terry Bradshaw into the conversation.

“He’s taking math lessons from Terry Bradshaw, that’s what’s going on,” Menefee said.

Bradshaw pushed back at the joke, but the lighthearted exchange continued as the FOX NFL Sunday crew laughed together.

The mistake happened while the panel was discussing Allen and the Buffalo Bills’ fast start to the season.

The Bills entered the Week 2 discussion after opening the season with a 36-31 win over the Houston Texans. Buffalo then defeated the Detroit Lions 41-31, giving the team a 2-0 record.

Across those two games, Allen had thrown for 582 yards and five touchdowns without an interception. He also had 92 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.

That meant Allen had nine total touchdowns at the time Long gave his numbers: five through the air and four on the ground.

Long’s overall point about Allen’s production remained clear, but Strahan immediately caught the mismatch between the numbers and the total.

The FOX NFL Sunday desk then moved on to other Week 2 topics, including the Kansas City Chiefs’ start to the season.

The exchange also showed the familiar chemistry among the FOX NFL Sunday personalities.

Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long have been part of the program since its early years. FOX NFL Sunday first debuted in 1994, making it one of the NFL’s longest-running pregame programs.

Strahan joined the show in 2008 after finishing his NFL career with the New York Giants. During his playing career, he became one of the best-known defensive players of his generation, winning a Super Bowl and the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award.

Curt Menefee became the full-time host in 2007 after James Brown, one of the program’s founding hosts.

Former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski is the newest permanent member of the main FOX NFL Sunday panel. He joined the show in 2025 after Jimmy Johnson retired following the 2024 NFL season.

The FOX NFL Sunday crew soon returned to football discussion, but the brief exchange between Strahan and Long became one of the memorable moments from the Week 2 pregame coverage.

Well, this backfired quickly.

After President Donald Trump banned CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House, the major television networks suspended their shared presidential TV pool coverage. So when Trump held his latest White House event Monday, there was one crucial thing missing: a working audio feed.

Trump was showing off the White House’s new South Lawn helipad when the usual television press pool was nowhere to be found—and the resulting footage was, to put it mildly, awkward.

CNN had been scheduled to provide the TV pool coverage, but after the administration barred the network and two other outlets from the White House, ABC, CBS, Fox News and NBC declined to replace CNN, effectively suspending the shared TV pool. Reuters reported that there would be “no replacement pool” for events designated as pool coverage.

The White House’s own livestream captured Trump at the ceremony, but the audio was inaudible, leaving viewers unable to make out his remarks. The timing was particularly notable because the ceremony was being held to unveil the new helipad, which Trump was expected to discuss before departing for New York.

Even a Newsmax host acknowledged the irony, describing the situation as an example of Trump’s attacks on the press “backfiring just a little bit.”

Journalist Aaron Rupar captured the absurdity in a post on X, writing, “LMFAO — Trump is holding an event at the White House right now but there’s no audio because the press pool isn’t there. The Newsmax host notes that this is an example of Trump’s attacks on the press ‘backfiring just a little bit.’”

And the Internet, naturally, had thoughts.

Commenters quickly piled on, with one writing, “Watching him on mute is very therapeutic,” while another asked, “Can we have this for the next 2.5 years?”

Sophia Cai, who covers the White House, also documented the technical mess on X.

“Trump made his first remarks without the TV pool and it is impossible to hear him through the White House feed,” she wrote. “He is doing an unveiling of the new helipad just before Xi’s visit. Nothing but static for 9 minutes and Trump is wheels up.”

Another commenter shared a simple explanation for what viewers were seeing, writing, “Here is what happens when you don’t have the White House TV Pool. You have video of Trump – but you can’t hear what the President is saying.”

That, essentially, was the problem: The cameras were still rolling. Trump was still speaking. But without the shared television pool providing the usual production crew and audio, viewers were left watching a presidential event they could barely hear.

The bizarre moment came as the larger fight over White House press access escalated. CNN, MS NOW and Politico filed a federal lawsuit Monday challenging the administration’s decision to bar them from the White House, arguing that the ban violates their First Amendment rights. Trump has defended the move, saying the outlets publish what he calls “fake news.”

Meanwhile, the television pool dispute has created an unusual situation for the rest of the week, with the major networks declining to provide replacement coverage for designated presidential pool events.

And Monday’s helipad unveiling offered perhaps the strangest demonstration yet of what happens when the White House gets its wish for fewer members of the press in the room: Everyone can still see Trump. They just can’t hear him.

Double-pane windows have two glass panes separated by an insulating space. Triple-pane windows add a third pane and another insulating cavity. Those additional layers reduce heat transfer and can improve acoustic isolation.

The U.S. Department of Energy says windows have a significant influence on a home’s overall energy performance. Two or three panes of insulated glass and low-emissivity coatings reduce heat transfer. U-factor measures the rate of heat transfer through a window; the lower the U-factor, the better the window insulates.

That makes triple-pane glass worth considering if your home sits near a busy road, active neighborhood, railroad or other persistent source of exterior noise.

However, adding a pane alone does not guarantee dramatic sound reduction. Acoustic performance depends on the specific glass configuration and the opening around the window. A properly sealed, well-designed replacement window is essential.

For homeowners primarily concerned about traffic noise, ask for the window’s acoustic ratings and investigate whether laminated glass or different glass thicknesses would provide a better solution than simply adding another pane.

Collider just ranked Young Guns at No. 8 on its list of “Most Fun Westerns of All Time,” but that’s not the only reason this classic stands out. It has a secret cameo that arguably opened the door for a second one to happen just two years later in Young Guns II.

You may have heard that Taylor Sheridan made sure that the cast of 1923 knew how to play real cowboys by sending everyone to Cowboy Boot Camp, and he hasn’t been the only creator to do that. The entire cast of Young Guns, including Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, and Lou Diamond Phillips, went to Cowboy Boot Camp for two weeks. This wasn’t just a chance to learn how to quick-draw a gun or ride a horse, but it was a chance to get to know each other to make their outlaw chemistry feel real.

However, there were two people in the movie who weren’t at the bootcamp, and you likely missed them across the two movies in the franchise. Both Tom Cruise and Jon Bon Jovi have secret roles.

Cruise’s came from his friendship with Estevez. While visiting the set, he asked if he could be in the movie. Considering his star power in the 1980s thanks to the likes of Top Gun, it was a no-brainer, but he was put in heavy makeup, wigs, and a mustache to avoid being recognized. If you skip to the shootout at Alex McSween’s house, you’ll just about spot him.

This arguably opened the door for a cameo to happen in the sequel. When making Young Guns II, Estevez asked Bon Jovi if they could use the iconic track “Wanted Dead or Alive,” and Bon Jovi went one step further. He created an entire original album for the 1990 sequel, which would become “Blaze of Glory,” and landed an uncredited cameo as a prisoner who is shot. Like Cruise’s, it’s a blink-and-you-miss-it moment.

Young Guns is more than just a fun Western, though. It is one of the most historically accurate movies of the time period. It tells the story of Billy the Kid and the Lincoln County War, which is often dramatized to add more action. However, Western historian Dr. Paul Andrew Hutton described it as one of the “most historically accurate of all prior Billy the Kid films.”

Ken Jennings has some strong thoughts about a recent Jeopardy! advertisement.

The game show’s host took to Instagram to share his opinion about the poster being put up to promote the show’s latest season. The image showed half of Jennings’ smiling face with “Jeopardy!” written sideways in its signature typeface.

He posted a photo on Saturday, Sept. 19, of the image at a bus stop with the caption, “Jeopardy! but it’s one of those sex thrillers from the ‘90s starring, like, Stephen Baldwin.”

One user commented, “Is there a dark side to Ken Jennings? I don’t think so. However, he did play a trivia villian on The Chase, so be careful with him. Hehehe.” While another follower wrote, “Your eye glint is a yin-yang of knowledge balancing evil.”

The poster is meant to promote the long-running show’s 43rd season, which debuted on Sept. 14.

Jennings became an interim guest host of Jeopardy! in January 2021 and the sole permanent host in December 2023. He holds the title for the longest regular-season winning streak and won the 2020 Greatest of All Time tournament.

In a 2024 interview with CBS, Jennings shared the joy he felt the first time he won.

“And I realize, ‘I’m gonna be a Jeopardy! champion for the rest of my life! And it was just an immediate rush of euphoria that, it’s hard to explain,” he said. “As good as the birth of my kids (I can say that now that they’re teens and outta the house). It was just an amazing moment.”

Jeopardy! recently won Outstanding Game Show at the 78th Creative Arts Emmy Awards in September, marking its seventh consecutive win in the category. Host Ken Jennings understands just how meaningful the beloved game show is to fans.

“The great and the odd thing about Jeopardy! is, it’s kind of universally popular,” he explained. “Old people like Jeopardy!, young people like Jeopardy!, red states, blue states. Lauren Boebert is speaking out after a sworn ethics complaint accused the Colorado congresswoman of having sexual relationships with three of her staffers.

The complaint, filed with the House Committee on Ethics on September 17 by David Wheeler of American Muckrakers, alleges that Boebert had relationships with former district director Clarice Navarro Ratzlaff, district chief of staff Raven Finegan, and former chief of staff Jeffrey Small while they worked under her supervision.

The filing, which was obtained by the Colorado Time Recorder, also alleges that Boebert arranged a $200,000 payment to Ratzlaff after she allegedly threatened to file her own ethics complaint.

Boebert calls the allegations “utterly false.”

“I reject these baseless allegations as utterly false and there is no truth to them whatsoever. I have never had a sexual relationship or an inappropriate romantic relationship with any member of my staff—past or present. This is nothing more than a politically motivated stunt designed to manipulate the ethics process, create headlines, smear me, and generate clickbait,” a Sept. 20 press release from Congresswoman Boebert’s office stated.

Ratzlaff has also denied the allegations, calling them “entirely false, defamatory, and beyond ridiculous” in a statement to the Colorado Times Recorder.

The complaint identifies Ratzlaff as the central figure in its allegations, claiming the two women had a relationship that lasted from 2021 until January 2025. It also makes allegations involving Finegan and Small, though the filing provides different levels of detail about each alleged relationship.

Jace Ratzlaff, Navarro’s ex-husband, also addressed the allegations in a statement included in the Muckrakers’ release.

“I assumed this would eventually surface,” he said, adding that he would have no further comment.

Boebert also criticized the timing and source of the complaint, arguing that it is part of a politically motivated effort against her.

“They come from an activist who has long recycled sensational claims, including numerous baseless accusations previously fact-checked as false,” a statement read. “These untruthful claims are ridiculous, reckless, and politically motivated as they come just a few weeks before ballots go out in my election. To be clear, swearing to it does not make it an official complaint. This was a political smear packaged as an ethics filing and published before anyone checked whether it even qualifies under the Committee’s rules.”

The game took a turn in FJ as Leavey was one of two contestants who got the answer correct, though it came down to her significant wager. She bet everything, emerging as the new champ with $20,000. Ramirez, the returning champ, also answered correctly, but wagered $1,600 for a third-place total of $10,200. Meanwhile, Bisbee got it wrong (“Who is Mother Teresa?”), dropping the $1,501 wager for a second-place total of $17,099.

Leavey will be back on Tuesday for attempt number 2.

Patrick Mahomes had his biggest supporter by his side just before taking the field for the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 2 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

Patrick tore his left ACL and LCL last season but returned for the Chiefs’ home opener against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 14. He quickly marked his comeback with a touchdown, running the ball into the end zone as Kansas City won.

Patrick also discussed his recovery during an interview with ESPN’s Chris Berman that aired before the Broncos game.

“I was banged up at the end of last year, but we’re good to go now,” he said.

The Colts game came during a busy week for the Mahomes, who celebrated his 31st birthday on Sept. 17. Josie Canseco has broken her silence on the tragic death of her friend Presley Gerber, who died Sunday, Sept. 20, at the age of 27.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the Victoria’s Secret model and daughter of MLB legend Jose Canseco shared a brief but heartbreaking tribute shortly after the news broke.

“Love you Pres😞doesn’t feel real,” she wrote under an image of Gerber smiling at the camera. “You deserved better than this. I’m so sorry it all got to this point.”

Canseco and Gerber knew each other through their shared ties to the modeling industry and a tight-knit circle of mutual friends, including model Charlotte D’Alessio.

In 2015, Canseco and D’Alessio went viral at Coachella after photographer Bryant Eslava photographed the pair, and that image then helped launch D’Alessio’s modeling career.

D’Alessio later dated Gerber, and E! News reported in December 2017 that the two had been casually dating after meeting through Gerber’s sister, Kaia. D’Alessio and Canseco’s longtime friendship provides another link between Canseco and Gerber’s overlapping social circles.

Canseco’s words come as Gerber’s family and friends continue to mourn a young man who had been increasingly open about his struggles.

In recent years, Gerber spoke publicly about mental health and addiction, using his social media platforms to encourage others to keep talking about their own experiences. His sister recently described his openness as something she was “deeply proud” of.

When Prime Video canceled Ride or Die after just one season, many were shocked. The action-comedy series starred Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham, bringing the story of two women who support and lean on each other.

The plot centers on two long-time best friends, Debbie and Judith, who seem to have normal lives. And Debbie does. As for Judith, it turns out that she is an international assassin, and now her past has caught up to her. Debbie isn’t leaving her best friend to deal with the people coming after her, so the two go on a wild mission across the globe to get to the bottom of the attack.

Octavia Spencer Shares Her Love for ‘Ride or Die’

It’s hard to say goodbye to a project you love, but the 56-year-old was a shining light of grace as she took to Instagram to share her thoughts about Prime Video canceling Ride or Die. She focused on the joy that the series brought her and the love for being able to make something so fun.

Spencer was an executive producer on the series, as well as the star, and she thanked others involved in the creation process, including creator Tessa Coates and fellow EPs Matt Thunell, Barbara Muschietti, and Dana Goldberg.

The message was one of hope that everyone gets to create something that they love. She shared, “I hope every creative out there gets to have the incredible experience that I’ve had bringing this project to life with the unwavering support from Skydance/Paramount these past three years.”

She went on to share more about how this should become the rule for TV, saying, “Projects like this shouldn’t be the exception, they should be rule! For all the women out there who felt seen, laughed out loud, lived out loud with Debbie and Judith, thank you.”

The cancellation marks the second in the span of a month, as Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Noir was also canceled after one season. However, that cancellation was more expected, as Cage’s statement made it clear that he viewed it more as a limited series.

The decision to cancel the series was surprising, considering it held a strong Rotten Tomatoes score (at 96%) and it was a favorite for critics and audiences. In fact, it logged twice as many views as Elle did over the first two days of streaming, and the Legally Blonde series has been renewed.

It appears that the cancellation is rather offensive to the audience. Deadline reported that the series focused on the wrong demographic: middle-aged women. These women already have an Amazon Prime account for shopping, so a series aimed at them wouldn’t bring in new subscribers to the Prime Video platform.

Paramount Television Studios is shopping the series around. Hopefully, it finds a home that will value this demographic, maybe Peacock, after it renewed The Five-Star Weekend.

Below Deck fans barely had time to process the Season 13 trailer before they started asking the same question: Is the show finally bringing back the chaotic, old-school yacht drama viewers have been craving?

The newly released trailer gives fans plenty to talk about. Captain Kerry Titheradge is back at the helm, Chief Stew Fraser Olender is returning, and the crew is heading somewhere the flagship hasn’t visited since 2019: Phuket, Thailand. The new season premieres October 12 on Bravo.

And based on the first look, there will be no shortage of actual yacht chaos. But some fans are hoping for a return to the old-school Below Deck formula after last season’s more influencer-focused feel.

In fact, one person commented on Fraser’s post announcing the new season, “Please God no Solene or whatever her name was.” Stew Solène Favreau seemed particularly focused on the romance side of life aboard the yacht and had previously appeared on Love Island France.

The trailer teases crew conflicts, boatmances, difficult charter guests and extreme weather, with Captain Kerry describing Thailand as a place known for its culture, coastlines, islands and nightlife. At one point, the situation appears to become serious enough that Kerry declares, “Everything has just gone wrong.”

That could be welcome news for viewers who didn’t connect with some of the choices made last season. Fans criticized the glossier, Instagram-friendly approach, while some questioned whether certain crew members seemed more interested in building their social-media profiles than working aboard the yacht.

On Reddit, one fan appeared relieved to see a different crew lineup. “Thank goodness it is not the same full cast from last season. That was one of the worst seasons og below deck. Hated that crew.” Other viewers, meanwhile, seem happy to see Stew Rainbeau de Roos back for another season after her memorable approach to the job last year.

The reaction points to a larger question surrounding Season 13: Can Below Deck deliver the messy crew drama viewers expect from reality TV while putting the actual yacht experience back at the center of the show?

The Below Deck franchise has increasingly become as much about crew relationships as life aboard a superyacht, but longtime viewers have continued to debate how much of the show’s original workplace-and-yachting formula should remain at the center. Recent fan discussions have included calls for competent crews, genuine yacht operations and the kind of unpredictable situations at sea that helped make the franchise distinctive.

Season 13 appears ready to give them plenty of both.

The new cast includes returning crew members Kerry, Fraser and Rainbeau, along with Chef Moe Vilomar, Jessenia Stidger, James Bishop, Kaylee Brown, Alex Wright, Matthew Fitzpatrick-Buck and Rosa Simms-Preston.

And the Thailand setting gives the season a fresh visual backdrop after the flagship spent its previous three seasons in the Caribbean.

Still, the trailer makes one thing clear: Viewers aren’t being asked to choose between yacht drama and reality-TV chaos. Season 13 appears determined to deliver both.

Whether that balance is what fans have been waiting for remains to be seen, but the trailer has already given them plenty to dissect before the first charter even begins.

Clueless actress Elisa Donovan is opening up about the 2009 death of her castmate Brittany Murphy.

In an interview on the September 21 episode of the Still Here Hollywood podcast, Donovan, the actress behind the Clueless character Amber Mariens, said she felt worried about Murphy when they crossed paths at the 2005 GLAAD Awards.

“We saw each other on the press line. And she always makes you feel like she’s like, ecstatic to see you, you know? She’s like, ‘Elisa, hi! Hi!’ You know, like big hugs. And she was, like, her knees were like buckling. Her legs were shaking. And I was like, ‘What? Are you okay?’ And she’s like, ‘Yeah, yeah.’ Like, ‘What do you mean, what?’ And I went, ‘Something is not okay with this person,'” said Donovan in the interview.

Donovan, who has publicly discussed her past anorexia battle, then theorized Murphy may have had an eating disorder or substance abuse issues. However, she believed it wasn’t her place to attempt to help Murphy.

“What am I going to do? Become this person from her past and come in and save the day or something, you know? So, I felt really sad for her, and then I noticed, like, ‘Oh, she’s not in these big movies anymore. She’s not. Like something is really going wrong,'” said Donovan.

In addition, Donovan said that she and Murphy went to the same hairdresser, who had also expressed concern about the Uptown Girls star.

“She would, you know, in confidence say to me, ‘I’m worried about her.’ ‘Cause she would go to her house. And I said, ‘I am worried about her, but I’m not a close enough friend of hers, you know, I’m not in her life,'” said Donovan during the podcast interview.

Elisa Donovan Recalled How She Reacted to Brittany Murphy’s Death

While recording the Still Here Hollywood interview, Donovan shared she was about to depart for a trip to Mexico when she was informed that Murphy had died at the age of 32.

“Someone called me and was like, ‘Did you hear about Britney?’ And I said, ‘No. Britney who?’ And they said, ‘Murphy.’ And then they told me that she had died, but nobody knew. And I have to say my first thought was I wasn’t surprised, really,” said Donovan.

People magazine reported that Murphy “was ill and experiencing flu-like symptoms” that “eventually developed into pneumonia” before her death. According to People, former medical examiner Dr. Lisa Scheinin, who was responsible for the autopsy of Murphy, also said the actress was “very anemic” at the time of her death.

“The anemia in itself would have been fatal, even without the pneumonia. The pneumonia was fatal, and then you’re adding this to the equation. This could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back,” said Scheinin during an interview for the 2021 docuseries, What Happened, Brittany Murphy?.

In addition, Scheinin reported that besides pneumonia and anemia, “‘multiple drug intoxication’ from prescription and over-the-counter medication” factored into Murphy’s death, per People.

Elisa Donovan Shared an On-Set Memory With Brittany Murphy

During her Still Here Hollywood interview, Donovan shared that one of her most memorable on-set moments from Clueless involved Murphy. She said Murphy, who played the Clueless character Tai, had happily insisted on doing her own hair “for a touch-up.”

“She’s like, ‘No, I got it. I got it. I got it.’ Like, ‘I’m gonna do it myself.’ And the last thing that a hair and makeup person wants to hear is like, ‘I’m gonna do it myself,'” quipped Donovan.

Donovan said that Murphy did end up mildly burning her head with a curling iron.

“She was fine, obviously, but it’s funny because it’s like her kind of frenetic [energy]. I always say she’s like a hummingbird, you know, that kind of energy. And she was so vibrant and so, you know, just so talented,” said Donovan.

Former Fox News staffer Jennifer Eckhart died on Sept. 19. She was 36 years old.

Eckhart was found on Saturday morning in her Florida residence, according to a Martin County Sheriff’s Office incident report obtained by People.

Christine Christofek, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, announced, “This death has been ruled a suicide,” in a statement. TMZ was the first to break the news.

Eckhart was an associate producer on Fox Business. She accused the network’s anchor at the time, Ed Henry, of rape in 2020. He denied her claim.

Fox fired Henry due to sexual misconduct claims. At the time, the network wrote in a memo that it “received a complaint about Ed Henry from a former employee’s attorney involving willful sexual misconduct in the workplace years ago.”

It was determined three weeks later that his dismissal was related to Eckhart. She filed a lawsuit claiming she was “violently raped” and left “injured, bruised and battered with bloody wrists” by him.

She further alleged that the anchor requested her to be his “sex slave,” “threatened punishment and retaliation if [Eckhart] didn’t comply with his sexual demands,” and “took photos” of her “for purposes of blackmail that could destroy her career.”

Eckhart settled her lawsuit against him in 2025. Fox News was dismissed as a defendant.

“This has been an exhaustive, re-traumatizing, five-year legal battle with incredible challenges that at times I almost felt was unable to bear,” she said in a statement at the time. “With this settlement in place, a weight has now been lifted from my shoulders and my passion to support fellow trauma survivors has been renewed.”

Eckhart founded The Reinvented Project, a nonprofit aiming to help those with traumatic pasts through animal-assisted therapy. She also began a podcast, REINVENTED with Jen Eckhart, to “give a voice to the voiceless.”

“I turned pain into purpose,” Eckhart said. “I think the overarching theme, as far as this case not going to trial, is that survivors do not require validation from a courtroom to emerge stronger than what tries to break them.”
