In 2025, the music industry lost the legendary “Prince of Darkness," but fans are now set to celebrate his legacy through a long-awaited biopic.

The late Ozzy Osbourne, whose decades-long career reshaped the sound of rock and metal music, will have his extraordinary journey revisited in an ambitious project centered on his wild and intriguing rock ’n’ roll life.

Following reports surrounding the untitled Ozzy Osbourne biopic, the music legend’s son, Jack Osbourne, teased fans with an update hinting at the current status of the upcoming movie.

During his YouTube livestream on May 12, the reality star answered a series of questions from fans, including one about the biopic.

According to the 40-year-old star of The Osbournes, the project remains in the works and is “moving ahead,” with hopes of releasing it in 2028.

 "I can tell you this: we are moving ahead,” he said, as transcribed by Blabbermouth, adding, “I was on calls today about it. The script is right there. We are good. This movie will absolutely happen. Realistically — I mean, look, we're already halfway through '26 — it probably won't come out until '28. But you never know.”

The media personality, who expressed his excitement for the soon-to-be-released film, revealed that they are securing key figures for the biopic, starting with a director.

“We're full steam ahead. We're about to start going out and getting a director attached,” he explained. “So, fingers crossed. I'm really excited. It's, yeah, very much been a labor of love, of course. But, yeah, I'm excited — I'm excited for everyone to see this film."

Back in 2010, there were rumors that an Ozzy Osbourne biopic was in development, but it was only in 2021 that the project was officially announced by Polygram Entertainment, which shared that it was “in negotiations with a director, which could be confirmed very soon.”

At the time, Ozzy Osbourne jokingly mentioned an A-lister’s name and revealed that he wanted Denzel Washington to play him in a biopic.

However, his son ruled him out of the equation, noting, “Sadly, it’s not Denzel.”

On the other hand, the focus of the much-awaited movie will be Ozzy Osbourne and his wife’s story, giving viewers a more personal look into the life of the music legend.

At the time, there were reports that the story would be written by the Oscar-nominated Lee Hall, who was behind notable movies such as Billy Elliot and Rocketman.

It was 32 years ago that a major box-office movie marked the end of a rising Hollywood star's career due to a tragedy.

Bruce Lee’s son, Brandon Lee, starred in his final film, The Crow, a dark superhero fantasy movie directed by Alex Proyas.

At the time, he was considered an up-and-coming star following in the footsteps of his famous father since his 1992 movie Rapid Fire established him as an emerging action lead.

Unfortunately, it was cut short due to a tragic death.

On May 13, 1994, the film made its theatrical debut with the then-28-year-old lead star taking on the dual role of rock musician Eric Draven and the Crow.

Based on the 1989 graphic novel of the same name by James O’Barr, the story centers on Eric Draven, who was brutally murdered together with his fiancée in their apartment by a ruthless street gang.

A year after his passing, a bizarre turn of events unfolded after a mystical crow arrived on Draven’s gravestone and resurrected him from the dead.

However, he returns with superhuman abilities and mental powers linked to a crow, which he uses to take his revenge.

With a production budget of approximately $23 million, The Crow earned a whopping $11.7 million in its opening weekend, debuting at No. 1 at the box office, as cited by industry analyst Box Office Mojo.

Moreover, the movie earned approximately $51 million in domestic box office gross, with international earnings bringing its worldwide total to about $154 million, showing that the film made more than double its production budget.

However, behind its success, The Crow harbors a dark history.

With only eight days left till the end of filming, Brandon Lee died following a fatal shooting accident on set.

During production, a scene showing Eric Draven walking into his apartment was being filmed when a tragic accident occurred.

Instead of a harmless prop setup, a .44 Magnum revolver was improperly prepared and discharged, with the bullet striking him in his abdomen.

“At the time of the gunfire, the explosive detonated and Lee collapsed,” a police spokeswoman shared at the time, as cited by Variety.

Brandon Lee was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery, but he did not survive, leading to his death at the age of 28.

While his passing was among the most high-profile and influential Hollywood tragedies, The Crow was completed using a stunt double, CGI face-mapping and a slight restructuring of the script.

The Brady Bunch’s Eve Plumb recently opened up about how much money she makes from her time playing Jan Brady. It turns out, she’s not reveling in riches.

“If I had a dime for every rerun episode, I’d pay off the national deficit,” Plumb wrote in an intro to her recently released memoir, Happiness Included: Jan Brady and Beyond, according to Page Six. She pointedly added, “I don’t.”

Plumb played Jan Brady from 1969 to 1974. However, in an interview with PauseRewind, she candidly said, “We don’t make residuals.”

Barry Williams, who played Jan’s stepbrother, Greg Brady, wrote in his memoir, Growing Up Brady: I Was a Teenage Greg, that salaries have considerably changed since the ‘70s.

“In our fifth and final year, the highest salary among us kids was $1,100 a week,” Williams wrote.

Page Six noted that although 22 episodes would have earned $24,000, there was a caveat.

“Take into consideration agent commissions, taxes, and the fact that some of the kids were expected to contribute to their families,” Williams said. “It was enough to indulge in toys, but hardly enough to carry you through the slow periods that inevitably followed.”

As for residuals, “payments for subsequent airings of the show dried up shortly after we finished filming,” Williams said.

Plumb’s new memoir was released on April 28 and includes a foreword from Christopher Knight, who played Peter Brady in The Brady Bunch. Beyond just residuals, Plumb also shares the behind-the-scenes story of her Hollywood career.

In 1975, American country singer Billie Jo Spears released “Blanket on the Ground,” a track that would change the direction of her career. 

Written by Roger Bowling and produced during her early work with United Artists Records, the song was released as the second single from her album Blanket on the Ground in February 1975.

At the time, Spears had already experienced both early struggles and a vocal setback that required surgery. Her return to recording under producer Larry Butler marked a new chapter. 

“Blanket on the Ground” quickly became her biggest breakthrough, reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart and later crossing over to the pop charts.

The track also reached No. 78 on the Billboard Hot 100, showing that its appeal went beyond country radio.

The song’s storyline was different from many mainstream country hits of its time. It is told from the perspective of a middle-aged married woman who encourages her husband to step outside and reconnect romantically under the night sky.

As noted in the source material, the song is centered on rekindling intimacy, with Spears singing from a character who gently persuades her hesitant husband to join her outdoors.

At a time when country music often leaned into traditional relationship roles, the song stood out for its direct and bold theme. It was also considered risky by some producers before its release, but Spears’ recording proved that audiences were ready for something different.

The song’s success showed strong crossover power, landing chart positions in several countries, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

Before this 1975 release, Billie Jo Spears had already built a long but uneven career. She started recording as a teenager in the 1950s and moved to Nashville in the 1960s. Early success came with 1969’s “Mr. Walker, It’s All Over,” which also reached the top 10 and dealt with social issues like workplace harassment.

However, her momentum slowed after label changes and health challenges, including vocal cord surgery that affected her singing voice. Her return to United Artists in the mid-1970s became a turning point.

After “Blanket on the Ground,” Spears regained commercial strength. The song not only topped the country chart but also helped her album reach the Top 5 of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. 

The success also earned her international recognition, especially in the United Kingdom, where her music performed strongly on the pop charts and helped build a loyal fan base.

Later in 1975, Irish country singer Philomena Begley recorded her own version of “Blanket on the Ground.” Released in August 1975, her cover became highly successful in Europe.

Begley’s version reached No. 1 in Ireland and No. 4 in the UK charts, even outperforming Spears’ version in some regions where both were released at the same time.

We've finally learned what the Gods had planned for Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and Crowley (David Tennant) as the series finale of Good Omens has aired. Though perhaps it's more accurate that no matter what Gods intend, the angel and the demon would always wind up together.

What was initially set to be a full season of the Amazon Prime show, fans were instead treated to one last 90-minute finale to the tale of the friends-turned-soulmates. But whether the pair would wind up together seemed hopeful, but not guaranteed, especially after the Season 2 finale, which saw Aziraphale return to Heaven and leave Crowley behind on Earth.

The Second Coming leads to a massive disappearance

The Second Coming, the task set forth by Metatron (Derek Jacobi) does not exactly go as planned. Everyone basically goes missing, including Metatron, the Book of Life and Jesus (Bilal Hasna). There's only one person who can help Aziraphale find the Lord, and that's his old pal Crowley, whom he finds drunk and homeless on Earth without his beau. The Book of Life being stolen is also bad news, as it documents the entire existence of human life. Turns out it was taken by Archangel Michael (Doon Mackichan). She's tired of being overlooked and thus burns the book. The result: the disappearance of nearly all life. Crowley is able to snatch the page for the Whickber Street bookshop.

Aziraphale and Crowley make the ultimate sacrifice

Aziraphale and Crowley are transported there along with Satan (Toby Jones) and God (Tanya Moodie). It's here that they hash out the meaning of the universe, with Crowley scolding God themself for setting up humans to fail. Aziraphale wants to know why God would offer up these beautiful things (most importantly to him, Crowley), only to take it all away. God is tempted by the pair's ideas and allows them a choice: Revert everything to the way it was or create something new entirely.

Crowley makes a rather big ask. He wants a Godless universe. Restart the universe and let humans evolve over billions of years, only this time there are no angels and no demons. He wants humans to have free will. God accepts, though warns the couple that making such a world means they won't ever see the utopia they dream of. The pair then disintegrate into nothing.

Happily (and heavenly) ever after

Billions of years pass, and the world goes on, seemingly much like the first version did. Anthony Crowley goes into Asa Fell's bookshop to buy a book on astrophysics. The two have a rather nice meet-cute and end up going to dinner together. It goes well, and 20 years later, the two are married and stargazing late at night. Fell wonders if there's anything beyond the stars. Crowley says he doesn't care, as he has everything he ever wanted.

It's a rather beautiful ending. Though a rather rushed finale (we did see a billion years go by in the span of 90 minutes), Good Omens ends where it always seemed destined to, with Crowley and Aziraphale together. For a show about angels, demons, gods and monsters, the ending is remarkably human.

Dick Wolf’s police drama about the Intelligence Unit of the Chicago PD is returning for its 14th season of telling stories about the Windy City’s most heinous offenses: organized crime, drug trafficking, high-profile murders and more when Chicago P.D. returns on Wednesday nights this fall.

Showrunner/executive producer Gwen Sigan teases exclusively to Parade, “I expect that next season is going to be a real season of change for everybody, for these characters, for the unit, for the job itself, what that’s all going to look like. I think we have so many opportunities. Exciting storylines to play with, hopefully some new things to explore. And we’ve got a lot of different directions to play in.”

What happened at the end of Chicago P.D. Season 13?

Season 13 wrapped with a bit of a cliffhanger, not life-and-death, but whether Imani and Voight would send Shari (Selin Çuhadaroğlu) to prison.

When the finale kicked off, despite the decades-long search for Imani’s missing sister coming to a head when she was located and brought into the Intelligence Unit, Shari claimed to have no memory of her sister. In fact, she insisted that she wasn’t kidnapped, and she refused to aid the team in tracking down Kirby, the man who abducted her when she was six.

To prove their family connection, Imani took Shari to her apartment, where she showed her all the mementos she’s kept of their life together. Shari pretended to believe her sister and told her where they would find Kirby, but only Imani and Shari could go.

Imani agreed, but when they got there, and Kirby was there, Shari sided with him. Luckily, Voight and the team had figured out that Shari was dangerous – the knife they had from a murder was hers not Kirby’s – and they arrived just in time to save Imani from Shari shooting her with her own gun.

“It’s become her whole life’s purpose to find her sister,” Mandi exclusively told Parade. “Her parents died looking for her. It probably had to do with why she became a cop, I’m sure of just this need to protect. I think she’s really just waited her whole life for this moment, and this moment has not turned out to be what she thought it was going to be.”

In the end, Imani lied to the investigators and told them it was Kirby who was going to shoot her, but she talked to Voight about the truth and they have to decide what to do. Will they put it on paper and send Shari to prison, or lie to try to rehabilitate her?

Are there any spoilers for Chicago P.D.  Season 14?

According to Sigan, “Everyone’s leaving Season 13 with some big decisions, some big life changes, some big sort of momentous things that have happened. Ruzek, obviously, has just lost his father, Atwater’s got a baby on the way. Burgess and Ruzek are moving; they’re going to start fresh in a new area of Chicago. We have Torres, who’s just found his way back to faith, but what does that look like for him moving forward?”

One of the big decisions for Voight and Imani is whether Shari will end up in prison.

“Actually, I don’t think we ever get that closure, which is why the finale left us on such a cliffhanger, because we don’t really know if she’s going to go to prison or not,” Mandi said. “We leave it with Voight and Imani and this question of: Is my sister going to go to prison, or can we somehow keep this secret between us and find a way out of this? We know Voight has done things like that in the past, and can this be another one of those moments? Or does it have to come to light? We really don’t know.”

“We love the idea of keeping this cliffhanger open,” Sigan added. “And that they do have this opportunity, since they’re the only two people that really have all of the evidence at this moment, will they bury it like we’ve seen him do before? Or will they put it all on paper and let the chips fall?”

As for whether or not the series will continue to focus on a smaller number of cast members in each episode, Sigan says, “To be determined. I think we will continue to make it as character-focused as we can, which does lend itself to focusing on a character each week. So that probably will stick around next year.”

After a season of America’s Culinary Cup cooking commandments, the final three chefs – Cara Stadler, Chris Morgan and Matt Peters -- faced their most daunting commandment yet: innovation in a 90-minute finale. The challenge was for the chefs to reimagine signature dishes from legendary guest judges Eric Ripert, Suzanne Goin and Daniela Soto-Innes.

Then, the chef with the lowest score was eliminated and the final two served their own three-course menu that put their past, present and future on the plate in hopes of winning $1 million. Then, the champion was crowned.

As usual, Padma Lakshmi, Michael Cimarusti and Wylie Dufresne awarded points based on Taste, Creativity, Presentation and Mastery of the Commandment with each quality worth 5 points, so each judge’s total would be 20 points for a cumulative possibility of 60 points. But with three guest judges, the total was 120 points.

What was the elimination challenge on America’s Culinary Cup tonight, and who won it? Cara Stadler

Cara and Chris went into the final challenge, which was to cook a three-course meal in six hours. The first course was to tell about their past, where they came from and what shaped them. The second course had to reflect their present. Where they are now and what matters to them in this moment. And the third course should tell the story of their future. Where they’re going and who they want to be.

They each got to select a sous chef. For Cara, she brought back Beverly Kim, and for Chris it was Gerald.

When the votes were counted, it was Cara who emerged victorious with 278 points to Chris’ 274. Her three courses were: Dumplings, Lobster Moilee and Teatime.

“I just won America’s Culinary Cup, I can’t believe it,” Cara said. Then she added, “It felt so good to come in second for so long and then crush it at the end.”

And Chris said, “It was devastating. I lost by four points. I know everyone in my family is proud of me. I know my mom is looking down and she’s proud of me. That’s what I want more than anything.”

Streaming giant Netflix has announced a major expansion of its partnership with the NFL, adding several historic regular-season games and special events starting in 2026.

The lineup includes the first-ever NFL game in Australia, a Thanksgiving Eve matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams, Christmas Day games, Week 18 regular-season action and the NFL Honors awards show.

The announcement was made through Netflix’s official Instagram post, signaling a bigger push into live sports and global football events.

One of the biggest highlights is the Green Bay Packers vs. Los Angeles Rams game scheduled for Nov. 25, the night before Thanksgiving Day. The matchup will be streamed exclusively on Netflix and marks the first time the NFL will stage a standalone game on “Thanksgiving Eve,” also known as “Blackout Wednesday” or “Drinksgiving.”

According to the announcement and league reports, the NFL is treating the date as a new opportunity to grow football viewership during one of the busiest travel and holiday periods in the United States.

The game is expected to draw strong attention since both teams are known as playoff contenders, and it will act as a lead-in to the league’s traditional Thanksgiving Day tripleheader.

The company confirmed it will stream the first-ever NFL regular-season game in Australia, featuring the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This marks a major step in the NFL’s global expansion, following international games in countries like Mexico, Germany and the United Kingdom.

NFL Honors will feature major league awards such as MVP announcements and Hall of Fame selections, bringing one of football’s biggest ceremonies directly to streaming audiences.

The expanded schedule is part of a broader multi-year deal between Netflix and the NFL that runs through the 2029 season. The partnership gives Netflix a growing role in live sports, even though it does not carry a full weekly NFL package like traditional broadcasters.

Instead, Netflix is building a “tentpole” model, focusing on high-impact events throughout the season. These include international games, holiday matchups and major league ceremonies.

The addition of Week 18 and holiday games also places Netflix alongside major sports broadcasters like Amazon Prime Video, YouTube and traditional TV networks in the fight for live sports audiences.

Like every band worth its legacy, The Rolling Stones also had their own moment captured on film inside the studio. Hunkered down at London’sOlympic Studios while recording what would become a rock masterpiece, “Sympathy for the Devil,” Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and company invited legendary French new-wave director Jean-Luc Godard in and let the cameras roll. What he captured was chaotic, controversial, and essential viewing for any classic rock history fan.

“Part documentary, part art film, Sympathy for the Devil (originally titled One Plus One) shows The Rolling Stones in the process of creating the iconic track,”Ultimate Classic Rock, which gave the film an honorable mention in its roundup of the best rock movies from every year, writes. “Director Jean-Luc Godard intersperses footage of the band in the studio with a narrative depicting the chaos of 1968.”

Alternating between the recording sessions and the political unrest of the Vietnam War-era world outside the studio, the avant-garde essay film unfolds as a series of fragmented vignettes. Far from a traditional music documentary, it layers revolutionary imagery — from the Black Panthers to political texts and symbolic scenes — into a fly-on-the-wall portrait of art being made in a time of upheaval.

The film concludes with the band performing the finished version of the track, having transformed it from a skeletal folk ballad into one of rock’s most enduring anthems. Though it was never released as a U.S. single and did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100, “Sympathy for the Devil” is still widely regarded as a masterpiece of rock music, often mentioned alongside “Gimme Shelter” as one of the group’s defining achievements.

The same can be said about their 1968 rock movie.

Many artists have put their personal spin on “Delta Dawn,” but perhaps none are as fundamentally tied to an artist as the song is to Tanya Tucker.

Recorded on March 17, 1972, Tucker was hardly even a teenager when she laid down her vocal track for the timeless classic, but her young age didn’t stop listeners from becoming moved by her version of “Delta Dawn” and the dark meaning behind its haunting lyrics. In fact, Tucker’s husky vocals were mature for her age. She had an undeniable rasp that added a layer of grit to the lyrics that folks couldn’t deny. 

A Southern Gothic anthem with a heavy subject, “Delta Dawn” finds the singer tackling the story of an older woman jilted by an ex-lover. Unable to shake the past and move forward, the character ends up getting labeled “crazy” by the folks around her in her Brownsville town. 

Inspiration Behind the Song

What’s even more interesting about the song is that the lyrics were drawn from the real-life backstory of a woman. Co-penned by Alex Harvey and Larry Collins, “Delta Dawn” was actually Harvey’s mother, who, sadly, died in a car accident following a live performance he had on television that she did not attend at his request. 

Opening up about how the song came about in the book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Country Music, according to American Songwriter, Harvey explained: “When I was fifteen years old, I was in a band. We had just won a contest, and we were going to be on a TV show in Jackson, Tennessee … My mother said she wanted to go. I told her that I thought she would embarrass me. She drank and sometimes would do things that would make me feel ashamed, so I asked her not to go that night.”

On that same night, Harvey’s mother died in a vehicle crash, “something he suspected had been a suicide.” Years later, while at Collins' home for a songwriting session, Harvey experienced a dream that led sparked the idea for the tune. 

“I looked up, and I felt as if my mother was in the room,” he explained. “I saw her very clearly. She was in a rocking chair, and she was laughing. I really believe that my mother didn’t come into the room that night to scare me, but to tell me, ‘It’s okay,’ and that she had made her choices in life and it had nothing to do with me. I always felt like that song was a gift to my mother and an apology to her. It was also a way to say ‘thank you’ to my mother for all she did.”

Chart Performance and Other Renditions

Tucker’s “Delta Dawn” debuted on April 10, 1972, instantly catapulting her to country music superstardom. Surprisingly, however, her version didn’t go No. 1. The song reached its peak at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. 

Another version, Helen Reddy’s, did manage to top the pop charts with her rendition of the classic hit, reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Another notable take on “Delta Dawn” is Bette Midler’s version, though hers was never officially released to radio. 

Still today, Tucker’s “Delta Dawn” has become a staple in country music, and in 2025, the track was fan-voted as one of the Grand Ole Opry’s Opry 100: Country’s Greatest Songs.

When Billy Joel released "Only the Good Die Young" in 1977, he likely expected controversy.

What he may not have expected was that the song would remain divisive for decades, eventually even appearing on lists of tracks discouraged from radio play in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks.

Released on Joel's breakthrough album The Stranger, the song quickly became one of his signature hits thanks to its upbeat piano-driven sound and rebellious lyrics centered around religion, youth and temptation.

The track tells the story of a young man attempting to persuade a Catholic girl named Virginia to loosen up and rebel against strict religious expectations. While Joel has long described the song as playful and tongue-in-cheek, many religious groups viewed it very differently at the time.

Some Catholic organizations protested the song, and certain radio stations either banned it or refused to play it because of its perceived anti-Catholic themes.

Ironically, the backlash only made the song more popular.

The controversy fueled curiosity among younger listeners, helping transform "Only the Good Die Young" into a rebellious anthem for a generation increasingly pushing back against authority and social expectations.

"When I wrote 'Only the Good Die Young,' the point of the song wasn't so much anti-Catholic as pro-lust," Joel said in an interview.

"I wrote it as a reggae song," Joel recounted. "And Liberty [DeVitto], my drummer, is so sick of reggae that he literally throws his drumsticks at me and says, 'Ugh, I frigging hate reggae! The closest you've ever been to Jamaica is when you changed trains in Queens.' So I said, 'Yeah, what's your solution?' And he played that opening fill and went into this kind of shuffle."

The rest was history. And then, decades later, the song unexpectedly resurfaced in another cultural controversy.

Following the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, some radio companies circulated lists of songs considered potentially insensitive or inappropriate for airplay during the national mourning period.
