1977 Rock Classic, Originally Carried by Radio Stations, Outlasted No. 1 Hits
Released in 1977, "I Go Crazy" by Paul Davis became an unlikely chart phenomenon.
While the soft rock ballad never actually reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, its staying power proved unmatched, lingering on the charts for nearly a year as radio stations across the country kept the emotional breakup anthem in heavy rotation.
The tune was written, composed and recorded by Davis as the lead single for his 1977 album, Singer of Songs: Teller of Tale. The song's lyrics describe the feelings of a man who unexpectedly runs into an ex-girlfriend. Though both have moved on from the relationship, this sudden meet-up rekindles the old affection he had for her, even though he thought she was out of his life forever. Once he realizes he might still have feelings for her, he doesn't act on them, but he concludes that he might not truly be over her.

"I Go Crazy" first entered the Billboard Hot 100, the music industry's standard weekly chart in the United States that ranks the top-performing songs across all genres based on digital/physical sales, radio airplay and streaming, two months after its initial release in August 1977. It slowly kept climbing the charts until the spring of 1978, thanks to constant radio airplay, and peaked at No. 7. Despite it never hitting the top spot, "I Go Crazy" spent a total of 40 consecutive weeks on the chart. Most songs tend to only stay on the chart for one to four weeks.
This accomplishment gave Davis his first record in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 for four years in the late 1970s. It was eventually taken over by Soft Cell for their song, "Tainted Love."
"I Go Crazy" was also covered by multiple artists, including Lee Greenwood, Will Downing, Steve Azar, Barry Manilow and the Belgian duo DHT.

Davis was actually planning to give "I Go Crazy" to Lou Rawls, who scored the No. 1 R&B single with "You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" in 1976, but after the head of his record label, Bang Records, heard a demo for the song, she convinced Davis to record it. The "Cool Night" singer ended up recording it in Atlanta with record engineer Ed Seay at Web IV Recording Studios.
Though they were both confident that the song could become a hit, they never thought it could end up in the Guinness Book of Records. "That was big at the time for an independent record company to have a fairly new artist to have something explode and hang on longer than any other record," Seay told Mix in October 2020.

After scoring a massive hit with "I Go Crazy" in 1977, Davis continued building a successful crossover career that blended the genres of pop, country and contemporary. He followed the song’s success with hits including "Cool Night," "65 Love Affair" and the country-pop duet "You're Still New to Me" with Marie Osmond. Known for his laid-back Southern style, Davis became a consistent radio favorite throughout the early 1980s. Though he kept a relatively low public profile, his music remained popular on soft rock and adult contemporary stations for decades. Davis died in 2008 at age 60 following a heart attack.
Fans can listen to "I Go Crazy" and his whole discography on streaming platforms.

Rihanna's New Tattoo Was 'Designed by Her Babies'
Singer and proud mom Rihanna, 38, recently paid the ultimate tribute to her three young children. She took one of their artful designs and turned it into permanent body art—specifically a new tattoo on the back of her leg. Now that's some motherly love.
In a recent Instagram post, the popular New York City tattoo studio Bang Bang Tattoo shared several images and video clips from Rihanna's recent tattoo session. The caption on the post reads: "Family tats @badgalriri Designed by her babies ♥️"
In the carousel of images, we see Bang Bang Tattoo owner and operator Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy hard at work on her tattoo, Rihanna's kids' artwork scribble alongside him as he works, as well as a shot of the finished product. There's also a cute clip with Rihanna nervously awaiting her inking, smiling and saying, "The torture I've endured in this shop..."

This isn't the first or even tenth or twentieth tattoo for the "Umbrella" singer. She reportedly has at least 25 other tattoos. However, this one is extra special—a direct contribution from her kiddos. Children are little for such a short time in the scheme of things, so this is a lovely way to cherish their childhood and forever ink an era in time.
Rihanna and her partner A$AP Rocky (aka, Rakim Athelston Mayers) have three children: Son RZA Athelston Mayers, who will turn 4 years old on May 13th, son Riot Rose Mayers, 2 years old, and daughter Rocki Irish Mayers, 8 months old. It's not noted if one, two, or all three of the kids contributed the tattoo artwork inspiration.

Starbucks is reportedly releasing two new Bearista cups in Korea, which has sparked a reaction from fans who are all saying the same thing about them.
On May 7, food blogger Snackolator took to Instagram with photos of the glass bear-shaped cups, one with a light pink beanie and a matching straw, and a second one with a darker pink beanie and a matching straw.
"Starbucks is dropping TWO new Pink Bearista Glass Cups and if these come to the US it's gonna be CHAOS to get one!" Snackolator predicted. The account continued, "While there's nothing announced about coming to the US, the green cup went around the world, so it would make sense the pink variety might show up later as well."
To conclude the update, they asked, "Would you want to get a Pink Bearista glass cup from Starbucks?!"
In November, Starbucks locations in the U.S. first released the green Bearista cups. Lines formed outside stores, which had extremely limited quantities, causing frustration among fans when they immediately sold out. The $30 cups were then resold online, with listings as high as $300.
“The excitement for our merchandise exceeded even our biggest expectations and despite shipping more Bearista cups to coffeehouses than almost any other merchandise item this holiday season, the Bearista cup and some other items sold out fast,” Starbucks told People. “We understand many customers were excited about the Bearista cup and apologize for the disappointment this may have caused.”
In December, Starbucks offered customers another chance to snag the original Bearista cups through its Starbucks for Life Merrython Game.
View this post on InstagramIn the comments of Snackolator's update about the pink-hatted Bearista cups, many fans were hesitant about the them coming to the U.S. One Instagram user wrote, "Thank God it’s Korea exclusive, we do not need this again 😂."
Another shared, "Can’t wait for the fighting video on TikTok😂😂😂."
Someone else pleaded, "Please, no more! 😭."
A different follower echoed, Please, God, no. Free me. I don’t wanna deal with this again."
Meanwhile, yet another fan begged, "Please, just stay in Korea, USA don’t know how to act with stuff like this!"
What do you think of the Bearista cups with pink hats in Korea?

Cher’s Son Says He No Longer Gets 'Recurring Gift Income' From Singer—Receives 'Only $10K' a Month From Trust
The complicated relationship between Cher and her son Elijah Blue Allman continues following new court filings that have been released that are tied to his divorce proceedings.
According to recently filed legal documents that were obtained by PEOPLE on Friday, May 8, Allman claims the music icon stopped providing him with regular financial support several years ago. The filing was submitted as part of his request to lower the spousal support payments he currently makes to his estranged wife, Marieangela King.
Per the documents, Allman alleged he no longer receives a “recurring gift income” from Cher and instead “receives only $10,000 per month from his father's trust.” The 49-year-old, who is the son of Cher and the late Gregg Allman, reportedly said the financial support from his mother ended in August 2021.
The filing also states that Allman currently pays King $6,500 per month in spousal support following their split, though his attorneys are now requesting that amount be reduced to $1,651 monthly. He additionally claimed his estranged wife has “made no efforts to become self-supporting.”
In recent years, the singer has also pursued conservatorship efforts involving her son. In April 2026, Cher filed for conservatorship of Allman for a second time, alleging he has “no concept of money.” Court documents additionally claimed he “spends any money he gets immediately” on “drugs, expensive hotels, and limousine transportation.” The request was denied without prejudice on April 24.

The filing followed several troubling incidents involving Allman. Earlier this year, he was arrested in New Hampshire after allegedly causing a disturbance at St. Paul’s School in Concord. Authorities charged him with two counts of simple assault, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct after police said he was acting belligerently in the school’s dining hall. The incident remains under investigation, and Allman is being held in a psychiatric hospital.
In 2025, authorities also responded to reports of “erratic” behavior involving Allman at a California home, where police later said drugs were found before he was admitted to a medical facility.
In addition to Allman, Cher is also mom to Chaz Bono, whom she shares with her late ex-husband Sonny Bono. Chaz, 57, was routinely featured on their variety show The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour throughout his childhood. Initially assigned female at birth, Chaz transitioned to male after his 40th birthday and documented the journey in a 2011 documentary, Becoming Chaz.

1990 Masterpiece Ranked Best Rock Movie of the Year Is Suddenly Everywhere Again
Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas has re-entered the chat, thanks to its resurgence on streaming platforms, renewed attention following actor Beau Starr’s death, and the ongoing evaluation of one of the coolest, most influential movies ever made. More than 35 years later, Scorsese’s gangster masterpiece is once again playing like the coolest album in the room.
A crime biopic chronicling the story of Henry Hill and his life in the mafia, the film was named the best rock movie of 1990 by Ultimate Classic Rock, and it’s not even a movie about music. But because of its kinetic energy and rhythm, and rebellious mobsters who are rock stars in their own right, it fits the bill. Not to mention, the film boasts one of the best soundtracks of all time, with popular hits from The Rolling Stones, Cream, and The Who mirroring the rise and fall of its characters.
View this post on InstagramLate last month, Goodfellas lost one of its crew. Beau Starr, the actor who plays the father of Ray Liotta’s Henry, died at the age of 81 from natural causes. News of his passing was met with a flood of tributes from fans and others in the entertainment industry, likely driving some of the renewed interest in his filmography, namely Goodfellas. Starr was joined by an all-star cast for the film, including Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Lorraine Bracco, and, of course, Liotta.
A modest box office performer, Goodfellas has only ballooned in status over the decades. The film earned six Academy Award nominations, with Pesci winning the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, thanks to his explosive performance as Tommy DeVito. Its influence can be seen across the board, from episodic dramas like The Sopranos to modern crime films like Blow and Uncut Gems.
For Scorsese, Goodfellas was an "anthropological" study — a sprawling "mosaic" and "tapestry" of the gangster lifestyle in all its seduction, paranoia, and amorality. For the rest of us, it’s simply the wisest of the wise guy movies: endlessly quotable, effortlessly cool, and still impossible to turn off once it starts.
Goodfellas is streaming on Prime Video.

Charlize Theron Faces Backlash Over Comments She Made About Her Kids’ Finances
Celebrity mom Charlize Theron made a pretty controversial statement recently, and fans are divided. While on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, the mom of two shared her views on parenting, finances, and independence.
Unlike other Hollywood royalty, Theron’s kiddos won’t automatically get a luxury SUV wrapped in a pretty red ribbon when they turn 16. The Academy Award winner adopted two children: Jackson (in 2012) and August (in 2015). So, what type of car will the actress buy for her brood? Theron revealed to Shane, “First of all, your first car is going to be a Datsun because you’re going to crash it.”
Theron continued, “You’re a new driver. So, we’re not getting like, the nice car up front. We need a little bit of experience, and we’re going to earn it.” The conversation eventually turned from cars to jobs, with Theron adding, “They just need to get a job that pays them because I don’t want to support them for the rest of life.”
What Did Fans Think of Charlize Theron’s Parenting P.O.V.?The online entertainment community lit up after hearing Theron’s somewhat controversial statements. After all, according to IMDb, the actress is worth an estimated $200 million. So yeah, we can see how a discontinued brand like Datsun may not exactly make sense.
So, what did fans have to say? Redditors jumped online to voice their opinions. One wrote, “I’m sure she’ll open doors,” while another pointed out, “Most of the rich say that, and then change their mind later.”
Another commenter added, “They think this makes them look good. I mean, what else are they gonna say? ‘I’m crazy rich, why would they need to get jobs?’ I mean, it’s true but it looks bad. I would teach them to be great with money and how to use it well and how to help others with it the best way possible.”
Of course, some people took a different view of Theron’s statements. “Wild that she says she wants her kids to have jobs and basic cars, yet somehow even that’s a controversial opinion. This is why I understand when some celebrities can’t be bothered to talk to the press or meet fans. They can’t win no matter what they say.” But that wasn’t the only fan who backed up the celeb mama. Another wrote, “She told her kids to get a job and people are still complaining and are furious in the comments, lol.”
Pennsylvania Has Two of the Top Campsites in America—And It's the Perfect Budget Getaway
Let's be real: travel has gotten ridiculously expensive lately. A flight, a hotel, meals out—it all adds up fast. So more and more people are getting creative with their vacations, and that means staying close to home or choosing affordable activities like camping. And good news: if you're looking for a getaway that won't drain your bank account, Pennsylvania has two of the best campsites America has to offer.
According to Travel + Leisure's analysis of shoe company FitFlop’s research on Northeast camping destinations, Pennsylvania dominates the rankings.
Worlds End State Park (No. 1)Located in Pennsylvania's Endless Mountains about 90 minutes from Scranton, Worlds End State Park earned top honors with a 4.9-star rating. The park features rolling terrain, dense forests, and a winding creek. If you're into hiking, there are extensive trail systems that connect to the broader Appalachian region.
What makes it special is that visitors consistently describe it as a true escape—the kind of place where you actually disconnect. The campground has both rustic tent sites and cabin options with modern bathhouses. It's an affordable getaway that delivers natural beauty without the resort pricing.
Related: Tripadvisor Names an Unlikely New No. 1 Amusement Park for 2026
Paradise Stream Family Campground (No. 2)Just an hour from Hershey, Paradise Stream also earned a 4.9-star rating. Unlike Worlds End's rustic vibe, this campground blends outdoor camping with modern conveniences. You get full electrical hookups, internet access, and family-friendly activities on-site, like mini-golf and go-karts. Sites range from open fields to wooded areas, so you can choose your vibe.
The best part? Everything you might want to do is already there, which means you're not burning gas and money driving to attractions. Nightly rates are similarly affordable.
Related: The World’s Official Most Underrated Natural Wonder Is Actually in The U.S.
Why Camping Makes Sense Right NowThe economic benefits are pretty obvious. Instead of spending $200+ per night on a hotel room, camping offers a significantly more affordable alternative. Bring your own food, skip restaurant markups, and suddenly a week-long family vacation becomes genuinely affordable. Plus, you're naturally limiting extras—there's no mini-bar, no room service, no "upgrade your room" temptation.
The study's analysis was based on Google reviews, looking at ratings and review volume to identify which destinations consistently delivered on scenery, amenities, and visitor satisfaction. The fact that Pennsylvania claimed the top two spots says something: you don't need to drive across the country or fly somewhere exotic to have an excellent camping experience.
Sometimes the best getaway is just a few hours away.
Adidas' 'Very Comfortable' Sneakers Are Now 50% Off, and They Come in 3 Colors

If your sneaker rotation could use something bolder than another plain white pair, Adidas has a new style on sale that offers more shape, color, and texture than your average kicks. The Adizero Goukana Shoes are currently marked down to $80 (originally $160). They come in three color options, including core black, yellow, and solar lime, and are available in women’s sizes 5 to 15 and men’s sizes 4 to 14.
These shoes feature a breathable mesh upper with suede overlays, textile lining, a rubber outsole, and a lace closure. They also include the brand’s Lightstrike cushioning, a heel foam pod, and an Adizero hero sling for added support. The silhouette offers a wider build with layered materials and reflective details throughout the upper, so you get a more unique silhouette than with a typical running shoe.
Adizero Goukana Shoes, $80 (was $160) at Adidas Shop at AdidasThis deal is especially notable since newer sneakers don’t typically hit the sale section at half off this quickly. These work well for anyone who wants a shoe that offers plenty of cushioning, is practical, and stands out just enough to get compliments throughout the day. The mesh upper and Lightstrike midsole make them a great pick for errands, travel days, weekend plans, and long stretches on your feet, and the suede overlays and reflective accents add enough detail to wear beyond the gym.
One shopper wrote, “These shoes are so comfortable and look absolutely amazing!” Another called them “eye catchers,” adding that they’re “very comfortable,” and this was their second pair. A third reviewer said they’re the “perfect shoe to complete my outfits,” and mentioned that they can be worn with different styles.
The black colorway is the easiest option to pair with leggings, cargos, wide-leg jeans, sweats, or casual travel outfits. The yellow pair has a more retro-sport look that would work with denim, shorts, or a short white dress. And the solar lime version is the boldest of the three, so they’d look best when the sneakers are meant to be the outfit's main focus.

Warren Buffett Says Now Is Not a Good Time To Invest— But Here’s Why He Likely Won’t Listen to His Own Advice
Warren Buffett is known for taking investment risks when others play it safe and for playing it safe when others are taking risks. With the S&P 500 hitting another high this week, Buffett doesn’t think the environment is that great, but will he take his own advice?
🚀 Get all the advice you need in your inbox daily with Parade's newsletter 🚀
The Current MarketAt a Berkshire Hathaway meeting last week, Buffet announced, "It isn't our ideal surrounding area -- or environment, I should say -- in terms of deploying cash for Berkshire.” This may signal to some investors that buying isn’t a good option in the current market.
But Buffett is shrewd and knows how to find the investment opportunities that others may miss. While he doesn’t disclose his investment strategy in detail, there are trends we can see in his style so far.
The Margin of SafetyBuffett loves investments that are trading below their valuation. It’s this margin of safety that helps him pick winners even in a market where the S&P is hitting highs, and many other investors aren’t buying.
If a company is trading for $10 a share but its valuation is more like $13 or $15 a share, the safety lies in the assets being worth more than the current price.
Quality Over HypeThe 2020 Doge craze saw many new investors jump on the cryptocurrency, but trendy trades aren’t part of Buffett’s investment strategy. He prefers to buy into “a wonderful company at a fair price rather than a fair company at a wonderful price.” This philosophy hasn’t seemed to steer him wrong yet.
Market Crashes and Corrections Aren’t ScaryWhen the market dips or even crashes out, that’s the best time to buy. Getting a great stock at a discount price is a strategy he’s used time and again. This isn’t a new concept. The stock market crash of 1929 was what the Rockefellers and others used to amass more wealth while many others lost everything.
Long-term Is Key, but Don’t Be Afraid To SellInvesting isn’t a get-rich-quick scheme. While you may take a windfall from riding certain short-term waves, a long-term strategy and patience are what will truly grow your wealth. That said, don’t be afraid to sell if something changes. If a company seems to be making unwise choices, unloading it before it crashes is a smart move.

So while Mr. Buffett may say the market isn’t great for buying right now, his own strategy shows that he’ll likely still be hunting for gems. You could do the same.

Goldie Hawn Reveals Why She Won’t Marry Kurt Russell, Who She’s Been Dating Since 1983
Goldie Hawn recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight about her long-term relationship, which has lasted for four decades. The legendary actress has been dating her partner, Kurt Russell, since 1983. He is now 75 and she is 80.
"We thought that by getting married that was actually going to take something from both of us that we didn't want," Hawn said when speaking to the outlet on May 5. "We want to choose each other every day."
The star continued, "I don't like ownership, you know? And I must say that I think Kurt feels the same way. I thought if I was a bird, and then someone put me in a cage, then they leave the door open, I'll never fly out. If they close the door on me, I'd probably get rid of all my feathers and become a bird with no feathers. I think that's one of the areas where we all have to feel free to be who we are, and think the way we do, and for those of us who want to have a happy life, I think you want to be happy with yourself."

When speaking about her relationship with Russell, she added, "He's kind, he's funny, he's romantic, he's a wonderful person. We don't always agree on stuff, which is fine. We're both very spontaneous. [Our relationship] fed on a lot of goodness, a lot of wonderful life together."
Hawn also spoke about their decision not to get married at a film panel in 2016. "If you like your independence, there's something psychological about not being married because it gives you the freedom to make decisions one way or the other,” she explained. “So for me, I chose to stay, and Kurt chose to stay."
Russell has been open about their decision as well. In 2020, he said, “For people like us, the marriage certificate wasn’t going to create anything that otherwise we wouldn’t have. I don’t know. 40 years isn’t enough to finally say, ‘Well I guess…’”
Hawn and Russell have a blended family with four children.
Coors Just Dropped Cowboy Spurs With a Surprise Twist—and They're Selling Fast
Coors Banquet is going full cowboy with its latest merch drop, and this one comes with an unexpected feature. Ahead of the May 15 premiere of Dutton Ranch on Paramount+ and Paramount Network, the beer brand teamed up with Paramount Advertising to release limited-edition cowboy spurs inspired by the new series.
At first glance, they look like traditional Western-style spurs. But there's a twist: They come with a built-in bottle opener for cracking open a Coors Banquet while watching the show. Thanks to limited daily drops, fans are already scrambling to get them.

The Spurs Come With a Built-In Bottle OpenerCourtesy Coors Banquet
The Coors Banquet x Dutton Ranch spurs were created as part of the brand's "Earn Your Spurs" campaign, which plays off the cowboy tradition that spurs are earned, not simply handed out.
According to Coors Banquet, the spurs were designed in collaboration with a real spur maker and feature authentic craftsmanship. The brand describes them as "a real spur strap with no rowel, just a built-in bottle opener." In other words, they look more like wearable Western gear than a gimmicky novelty item.
They're also designed to work with more than cowboy boots. Product photos show them strapped onto sneakers as well, giving fans a more casual way to wear them while watching Dutton Ranch at home.
The limited-edition release comes at a time when Western fashion has surged in popularity again. Coors Banquet cited data showing that Western boot sales in North America have increased by 23 percent over the last five years, despite only a fraction of Americans actually living in "cowboy country."

Fans Have to Earn Access To Buy ThemUnlike a normal merch drop, fans can't just add the spurs to their cart right away. To unlock access, fans 21 and older have to answer trivia questions tied to Dutton Ranch characters through daily releases on the Coors shop website.
Once unlocked, the spurs cost $120 per pair. Only 23 pairs are being released daily, starting at 11 a.m. ET through May 19 while supplies last, which explains why they're already moving fast online.
The spurs are available in both men's and women's sizes, with a limit of one pair per household across all drops.
Since this is technically a pre-sale item, buyers should also expect a wait before they arrive. According to the product listing, orders are expected to ship within six to eight weeks.
Dutton Ranch Inspired the SpursThe limited-edition drop was created to celebrate the May 15 premiere of Dutton Ranch on Paramount+ and Paramount Network. Coors Banquet says the collaboration was a natural fit because both the beer brand and the series are rooted in Western culture and cowboy imagery.
"In the West, spurs mean something. They represent the grit, time and effort it takes to earn your place," said Alyssa Lynner, marketing director for Coors Banquet, in a statement. "With Dutton Ranch, we saw a natural opportunity to bring that idea to fans in a way that feels true to the brand and the world of the show."
Actress Natalie Alyn Lind, who stars in the series, is also helping promote the campaign through social content leading up to the premiere.
For fans who miss out on the daily drops, Coors Banquet is also running an "Earn Your Spurs Getaway" sweepstakes that includes a trip to Fort Worth, Texas, along with a pair of the limited-edition spurs.
Between the built-in bottle opener, the trivia unlock challenge, and the limited daily drops, these spurs feel less like ordinary merch and more like a collector's item for Coors Banquet and Dutton Ranch fans. If you want a pair, you may not want to wait too long.

1989 Hit Film, That Was Written in Two Weeks, Ranked No.1 Greatest Movie of the '80s
The 1980s were a defining era for music and film, with Spike Leeemerging as one of Hollywood's most influential voices after releasing an independent comedy-drama. The film, which earned Oscar nominations, has since led many to regard it as one of the greatest movies of the decade.
Rolling Stone released a list of the best films to have been released during the '80s. Hit likes Raging Bull, and Videodrome ranked in at No. 3 and No. 2 on the list. Taking the No.1 spot was Lee's 1989 film Do the Right Thing. It included a star-studded list of Hollywood actors like Danny Aiello, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Richard Edson, Giancarlo Esposito, Bill Nunn, John Turturro, and John Savage. It was also the film debut of Martin Lawrence and Rosie Perez.
The film takes place on the hottest day of the summer in Brooklyn, where neighborhood tensions are brewing between the African-American residents and the local pizzeria owned by Italian-Americans. Lee combined a spectacle of comedy and social commentary paired with one of the best movie soundtracks featuring Public Enemy's "Fight the Power."
"You can feel writer-director Spike Lee channeling a decade’s worth of real-life racial strife, urban anxiety, American culture clashes and class struggles into this powder keg of a movie, dropping audiences into the hottest day of the summer in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood (“Bed-Stuy, Do or Die!”)," said Rolling Stone.

Do the Right Thing was developed by Lee while discussing the 1986 incident at Howard Beach, Queens, with actorRobert De Niro. The incident involved an African-American man who was attacked in a predominantly Italian-American neighborhood, leading to his being killed after being hit by a car. Lee created the film's hot summer day storyline detail thanks to the Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode "Shopping for Death." As a result, Do the Right Thing's screenplay was written within two weeks.
Critics have praised the film's use of social commentary, with Rolling Stone calling it a "state-of-the-nation address." Amid its use of comedy, it tackled real-life events like the death of Michael Griffiths and the murder of Yusuf Hawkins through meticulously planned plotlines. It also included quotes from Martin Luther King and Malcolm X.
The ending to the film also gained acclaim and controversy after its release. Many protested its content as inciting Black audiences to riot, which Lee has publicly called out for being "outrageous" and "racist." Without spoiling the film, many have criticized the main character's final act as either having saved the pizza owner's life or inciting an act of violence.
Do the Right Thing was nominated at the Oscars and Golden Globes for Best Supporting Actor and Best Original Screenplay, with Lee nominated for a Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Since its release, it's been preserved by the Library of Congress and tagged as one of the greatest films of all time.
2023 Oscar-Nominated Film Ranked the 'Most Perfect Thriller Movie of the Last 6 Years'
It seems that since 2020, thriller films have become increasingly popular. However, some recent movies from the beloved genre should have more acclaim than others. In April 2026, the publication Collider shared a ranking of the "7 most perfect thriller movies of the last 6 years," which highlighted stressful films like 2025's Weapons, The Seed of the Sacred Fig, released in 2024, and The Secret Agent, also from 2025.
According to Collider, the Oscar-nominated 2023 film, The Anatomy of a Fall, is the "most perfect thriller movie" released after 2020. The publication reported that the French movie is simply mesmerizing and has incredible acting by Sandra Hüller, who portrays Sandra Voyter.
Sandra Hüller Shared Her Insight Into Her 'Anatomy of a Fall' CharacterIn a 2024 interview for SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations, Hüller discussed her Anatomy of a Fall character, who goes to court following the death of her husband, Samuel Maleski (Samuel Theis). The Project Hail Maryactress shared that she wasn't sure if Sandra was guilty.
"Sometimes I have nightmares that I did it all wrong," said Hüller, who snagged a Best Actress nomination for her Anatomy of a Fall role.
Hülle then revealed that she has called the film's writer and director, Justine Triet, asking for confirmation that she played Sandra right. The actress also clarified that she believes Sandra "is someone who had the capacity to do something like that" and "is a bit dangerous." However, she hesitates to condemn her character as a murderer because of her son, Daniel (Milo Machado-Graner).
"I always stopped in my imagination, when I had to imagine that she would take into account, that she would accept the fact that her son would find his father in the snow. That is so cruel. I can't wrap my head around this thought. And that's always where, everything else I could imagine, that she's so cruel, or fed up, or whatever," said the German actress in the 2024 interview.
Prince William's Dancing Goes Viral After Grooving to 'Sweet Caroline' During Aston Villa Game
Prince William was celebrating harder than anyone in the stadium after a big win for his team, Aston Villa.
Aston Villa won the semifinal game against English Midlands rivals, Nottingham Forest, on May 7 with a final score 4-0. The win solidified Villa’s spot in the final of the Europa League. The Prince of Wales, 43, went through every emotion while attending the intense game, but his celebration dance to Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline” made waves online, endearing royal watchers.
View this post on InstagramAston Villa will play the final in Istanbul, Turkey, on May 20, but it is not known if Prince William will be there for the historic event.
William has attended other games this season and has enjoyed passing on the tradition to his oldest child, Prince George. The father and son attended a Villa game during a trip to Paris, France, in April during George’s spring break from Lambrook School. William explained why it was so important to him to bring his son to Villa’s first European quarterfinal at that time.
"I thought, it’s been 43 years since anything like this has happened in my generation as a Villa fan, and I want George to experience a night out away from home in a big European competition," William told TNT Sports. "I hope it's not 43 years until the next time it happens, but I think those memories are really important to create and to bring him along tonight is a big deal for me."
William became a Villa fan during his days at boarding school after getting into soccer “big time.”

"I was looking around for clubs. All my friends at school were either Man United fans or Chelsea fans, and I didn’t want to follow the run-of-the-mill teams,” he told the BBC in 2015. “I wanted to have a team that was more mid-table that could give me more emotional rollercoaster moments."
The Prince of Wales doesn’t only feel passionate about his team at live events; he admitted that things get intense at home whenever a game is on.
"If we’re not doing very well, I start moving round the house quite quickly, and I put the children in different positions hoping that’s going to change our luck,” he told The Sun in March 2025.
Soccer isn’t the only thing that gets William on his feet — and it’s not the first time his dance moves have gone viral. In June 2024, the future sovereign took his eldest kids, George and Princess Charlotte, to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in London. Fan footage from the concert showed William letting loose during the song “Shake It Off.” He had the top buttons of his dress shirt undone as he shook his shoulders to the beat while Charlotte stood nearby grooving to the 1989 hit song.
Swift stopped by to say hello to William, George, and Charlotte, with her fiancé, Travis Kelce, and the group snapped photos together. "Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start 🇬🇧🇺🇸🤝," the Swift captioned her post, referencing William's birthday.

‘The Masked Singer’ Makes Major Change Ahead of Season 15
The Masked Singer is officially coming back for season 15, but the long-running FOX hit is undergoing a major behind-the-scenes overhaul before it returns to television.
According to a new report from Deadline, FOX has renewed the celebrity singing competition for the 2026-27 broadcast season while also handing production duties to a new company.

The series reportedly will now be produced by Eureka Productions, the Fremantle-owned company behind shows including The Floor, Farmer Wants a Wife and Netflix’s The Mole. The move marks a significant shift for the franchise, which had been produced internally by Fox Entertainment Studios in recent years.
Deadline also reported that the show is expected to move production from Los Angeles to the East Coast, with New Jersey emerging as a likely new filming location thanks in part to its production tax incentives. FOX insiders reportedly believe the move could also open the door to a wider range of celebrity contestants, including Broadway performers and stars based in New York.
The production shakeup comes after what Deadline described as creative concerns surrounding the show’s most recent season, with sources telling the outlet Fox wanted to inject “new life” into one of its biggest unscripted franchises.

The series also appears set to continue its newer one-season-per-year format after FOX reduced the show’s schedule beginning with season 14. Fox CEO Rob Wade previously said the break was intended to give the franchise “breathing space” creatively after years of producing multiple seasons annually.
Despite the behind-the-scenes changes, it’s not yet clear whether the show’s on-camera lineup will be affected. Nick Cannon currently hosts the series alongside panelists Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke and Rita Ora.
Since debuting in 2019, The Masked Singer has remained one of FOX’s biggest reality hits, helping launch a new era of celebrity competition shows in the U.S. The format originated in South Korea before becoming a breakout success stateside.
