1983 Nostalgic No. 1 Country-Pop Duet Still Feels Like a Warm Memory 43 Years Later

Wed, 05/06/2026 - 5:17am

In 1983, a silky country-pop ballad soared to No. 1, becoming one of the decade’s most unforgettable duets.

Sheena Easton and Kenny Rogers paired up for “We’ve Got Tonight” and delivered a perfectly matched, emotional collaboration. They captured a rare chemistry that helped define early ’80s country-pop and left a lasting impression on fans.

The song debuted on the Billboard Country Charts in January 1983, and by April, it had landed squarely in the top spot. Additionally, the tune was a huge crossover hit, ranking at No. 6 on the Top 100.

“We’ve Got Tonight” was produced by Rogers and David Foster. It was featured on Rogers' They Don't Make Them Like They Used To album.

However, the song was not an original, but a cover. “We’ve Got Tonight” was first performed by Bob Seger for his 1978 album Stranger In Town. Seger was inspired to write the song after watching the Robert Redford and Paul Newman film, The Sting.

He said in a Facebook post that one scene in particular set the stage for the lyrics of the now-iconic song. “There was a scene where Robert Redford goes to a waitress’ apartment and says, ‘It's four in the morning, and I don’t know anybody.’ She takes him inside. I thought, ‘Oh, that’s cool.’”

Rogers saw an opportunity to reshape the Seger song into something more expansive. Therefore, Sheena Easton was added to reframe it as a duet.

Rogers’ deep voice grounded the track while Easton’s softer tones helped create an intimate dialogue. This helped give the song the emotional pull that contributed to its success.

In an interview with Billboard, Easton said, “It was a privilege to work with Kenny. His voice was unique, and his talent made every note seem effortless. I learned so much just watching him work, and I will be forever grateful that he touched my life and made it better.”

Rogers said of the song, as reported by Smooth Radio, “Sheena was on Capitol at the same time I was. Jim Mazza had found ‘We’ve Got Tonight,’ which was a Bob Seger song. He said that we should do the song as a duet instead of me trying to compete with Bob Seger. [Sheena] was so hot at the time and so gracious. She sang it so beautifully.”

What made Kenny Rogers and Sheena Easton’s duet resonate wasn’t just star power, but the way both of their voices melded together. That delicate balance turned “We’ve Got Tonight” into a song that still feels personal and familiar, 43 years after its release.

This Is the Best French Summer 2026 Wine Trip—And It's Not Provence

Wed, 05/06/2026 - 5:10am

Provence has lavender fields and rosé-lit villages, but in high summer it quickly turns into crowded streets with everyone chasing the same postcard views. Bordeaux, located about six hours to west by train, has the same wine vibes (with a different varietal) textured French escape without the over-tourism. Here, you'll find a grand wine city with breathtaking Atlantic views and 18th century bridges, even older châteaus right outside of downtown, and Michelin-rated dining that rivals that of Paris. Once a very quiet town you “stopped over” after tasting the red and white wines in neighboring chateaus, Bordeaux is now more than just a wine-country visit, it’s a place you go to, and stay.

Aida Mollenkamp, owner and founder of Salt & Wind Travel, former Food Network personality and longtime food blogger, says the difference comes down to range. “So, without a doubt, Provence is beautiful,” she says. “But it has become this social media fever dream where everyone is chasing the same lavender field photo. Bordeaux gives you something Provence really can't: a world-class walkable city devoted to wine that can work as your home base. You step off the TGV from Paris, two hours, and you're in this gorgeous UNESCO-listed river city with incredible restaurants, wine bars and a whole cultural life that exists independent of the vineyards.”

Why Now Bordeaux. France.

Artur Debat / Getty

Bordeaux Airport’s summer 2026 schedule includes 82 direct destinations, with new routes such as Copenhagen, London, Nice, Palermo and Cagliari, making it easier than ever to get there. The hotel scene has some brand new options too, including the COMO Cordeillan-Bages, which reopened May 1, 2026 in Pauillac as a 28-room château hotel, created in collaboration with the Cazes family of Château Lynch-Bages.

The dining scene has exciting new openings too. L’Observatoire du Gabriel on Pl. de la Boursenow has two Michelin stars, Maison Nouvelle earned its second star in 2025 and Philippe Etchebest’s new Le Classique brings classic French tableside dining to the Saint-Pierre district. Mollenkamp is seeing this with the travelers she's booking especially.

“I think what's happening is that a certain kind of traveler, someone who has already done Paris and Provence and maybe Tuscany, is looking for what's next,” she says. “Bordeaux checks a lot of those boxes without feeling like a compromise. You get the wine culture, you get the food, you get the beauty, but it still feels like a discovery rather than a greatest hit. It's one of our most-requested French wine regions for summer 2026, and that's a shift from even a few years ago.”

Where to Wine and Dine

Start in Bordeaux city, where drinking well does not require a full day of château appointments. In the trendy Chartrons neighborhood, La Cité du Vin offers an immersive introduction to wine culture before lunch at nearby Les Halles de Bacalan, a lively food hall with seafood, cheese, charcuterie and local specialties. For a more traditional market morning, head to Marché des Capucins, where oysters with a crisp Entre-Deux-Mers white wine make an ideal first bite of the region. Mollenkamp likes that Bordeaux lets travelers drink beautifully without pretention.

“This is actually one of my favorite things about Bordeaux, because you really don't have to spend your whole trip in formal tasting rooms to drink incredibly well,” she says. “In the city itself, I'd point people to three wine bars. Soif has a really great selection of natural wines with seasonal small plates. Echo is similar, very curated list, bold flavors, local ingredients. And then Symbiose is this hidden speakeasy behind an antique clock at the back of a restaurant.”

For vineyards, keep geography in mind. Château Smith Haut Lafitte in Martillac is about 20 minutes from central Bordeaux and offers a prestige but relaxed introduction to the Pessac-Léognan region, known for its mix of red and white varietals. Nearby Château Pape Clément is another easy city-adjacent visit, with historic grounds and structured tastings that do not require a full-day commitment. In Saint-Émilion, plan for lunch at L’Envers du Décor, where the terrace, wine list and dishes like côte de bœuf or slow-cooked lamb shoulder make it a favorite among wine professionals and tourists alike. Back in Bordeaux, L’Observatoire du Gabriel is where you splurge. Set on Place de la Bourse with views over the Miroir d’Eau (famous mirrored fountain). For a coastal detour, Mollenkamp recommends Le Skiff Club in Arcachon: “Chef Stéphane Carrade does this ‘progressive terroir’ cuisine that is really the reason to spend a day out there.”

Where to Stay and Play

For a city base, Villas Foch is a chic 20-room boutique hotel in a 19th-century mansion near Place des Quinconces and Jardin Public. It feels intimate without sacrificing your need for location, making it easy to walk to the historic center, Chartrons or the riverfront. For a vineyard stay close to Bordeaux, Les Sources de Caudalie in Martillac remains the classic choice, set among the vines of Château Smith Haut Lafitte with a vinotherapy spa and La Grand’Vigne, its two-Michelin-star restaurant. In Saint-Émilion, Château Hôtel Grand Barrail delivers the château fantasy just outside the medieval village, with vineyard views, a spa and easy access to Right Bank estates. Mollenkamp also points to COMO Cordeillan-Bages in Pauillac, calling it “a 28-room 19th-century château set among the First Growths of Pauillac.”

It's great to spend a few days solely in Bordeaux, then make your way around the neighboring wine region. For the perfect itinerary, start in Bordeaux. Here, spend a morning walking from the Grand Théâtre to Place de la Bourse and the Miroir d’Eau, then continue toward Chartrons for antique shops, wine bars and La Cité du Vin. On a hot afternoon, Bassins des Lumières offers a dramatic indoor reset inside a former submarine base. From there, head west. Arcachon is under an hour by train, with oyster cabins, beaches and the the great sand Dune du Pilat nearby. Cap Ferret takes a little more effort by car or ferry, but has breathtaking pine forests, chilly but thrilling Atlantic surf and the slow summer that French dreams are made of.

As Mollenkamp puts it, “With Bordeaux, you get the urban energy and then you drive 15 minutes and you're at a First Growth château. You also get the coast, which I think surprises a lot of people. Arcachon and Cap Ferret are about an hour west, and the French use them the way Parisians use the South of France, but without the St. Tropez markup. Provence in summer is expensive and crowded. Bordeaux gives you more range at a better value.”

Delta Is Changing Its In-Flight Service—and It Might Actually Be a Relief

Wed, 05/06/2026 - 4:10am

If you’ve glanced at social media this weekend, you might think Delta Air Lines is officially entering its "no-frills" era. Viral posts are bemoaning the news that the carrier is cutting main cabin drink and snack service on hundreds of flights, with some commenters calling it "penny-pinching" and a "race to the bottom." But if you look past the initial shock, reports and frequent fliers are pointing out that the actual policy change tells a more nuanced story—one that suggests your next flight might actually be more comfortable.

Starting May 19, Delta is indeed drawing a new line in the sand at the 350-mile mark. Here is the breakdown of what is actually happening versus the internet's reaction.

Related: How Delta Air Lines Can Help If Your Spirit Flight Was Just Canceled

The "Short Hop" Reality Check

For flights under 350 miles (think Los Angeles to San Francisco or New York to Detroit), Delta is removing snack and beverage service for the Main Cabin and Delta Comfort+. While that sounds harsh, many frequent fliers and flight attendants are pointing out the logistical reality: on these "short hops," the service window is often as little as 15 minutes.

The internet is predictably divided, but many frequent flyers are surprisingly supportive of the change. As one Reddit user put it: "I’d rather not be bothered on a flight that stays at cruising for 15 minutes than have to deal with tray/garbage/etc for that short of a time."
Another traveler agreed, noting that the "Express Service" was often more of a headache than a perk: "It takes the FA more time to re-explain Express Service at every row than it would have to just pour the damn drink!"

Related: Delta Just Announced 3 Game-Changing Upgrades for Coach Passengers

The Hidden Upgrade: 600 Daily Flights Win Big

This is the part many people are missing: While 450 daily flights are losing service, 600 daily flights are getting a massive upgrade, according to Simple Flying. Previously, flights between 350 and 499 miles were stuck with "Express Service"—a limited menu of just water, coffee or tea. Under the new guidelines, these 600 daily flights are being moved to Full Service, granting access to the full suite of beverages and snacks previously reserved for longer hauls.

One commenter highlighted why this uniformity matters: "Express service was confusing for people and this makes it more uniform across the board."

Related: You’ll Soon Have At-Home Quality Wi-Fi on Delta Flights Thanks to a New Amazon Partnership

How Delta Compares to the Competition

Delta isn't the only one tweaking the "distance vs. drinks" formula. In fact, they're landing right in the middle of the legacy carrier pack. American and Southwest generally maintain service on flights over 250 miles, while United uses a 300-mile threshold. By moving to 350 miles, Delta is becoming slightly more restrictive, but they’re also betting that a better experience on mid-range flights is worth the trade-off.

A Delta spokesperson confirmed that even on flights without beverage service, the crew will "continue to be visible, available and focused on caring for our customers." For those who prefer the front of the plane, Delta First Class will continue to receive full service regardless of the mileage.

Ultimately, while any service cut feels like a loss in an era of rising airfares, this seems less like a major downgrade and more like an admission of what most travelers already knew: trying to serve 150 people a drink in 15 minutes was never really working. For the 600 daily flights finally getting a full cup of coffee, the change might even be a win.

Problematic 1971 Hit Took 3 Tries Before Finally Reaching No. 1

Wed, 05/06/2026 - 2:46am

“Indian Reservation (The Lament of the Cherokee Reservation Indian)” had one of the strangest journeys to the top of the charts.

Long before Paul Revere & the Raiders turned the song into a No. 1 hit in 1971, it had already failed twice.

The song was written by John D. Loudermilk and first recorded by singer Marvin Rainwater in 1959 under the title “The Pale Faced Indian.” But the record barely made an impact and quickly disappeared. Years later, former Sorrows singer Don Fardon recorded his own version of the song, and this time it gained a little traction, reaching No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1968.

Still, it wasn’t until Paul Revere & the Raiders released their version in 1971 that the song truly exploded.

The band’s recording of “Indian Reservation” climbed all the way to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it spent one week at the top in July 1971. It became the biggest hit of the Raiders’ career and eventually sold millions of copies, earning platinum certification.

Ironically, the song arrived at a strange point in the band’s history. Paul Revere & the Raiders had been one of the biggest hitmakers of the 1960s with songs like “Kicks,” “Hungry” and “Good Thing,” helped in part by regular appearances on Dick Clark’s TV shows. But by the early 1970s, the group’s popularity had faded as musical tastes shifted.

“Indian Reservation” unexpectedly gave the band a massive comeback hit after several quieter years on the charts.

But while the song became a commercial phenomenon, it has also drawn criticism over the years for inaccurate and stereotypical depictions of Cherokee culture. Critics have pointed out that Cherokee people did not traditionally live in tipis and did not use terms like “papoose,” both of which appear in some versions of the lyrics. Others have noted that the song’s depiction of Cherokee reservations and identity reflects outdated Hollywood-style stereotypes rather than authentic Cherokee history and culture.

The controversy surrounding “Indian Reservation” didn’t end with the Raiders’ version. More than two decades later, Loudermilk co-wrote Tim McGraw’s 1994 breakthrough hit “Indian Outlaw,” which also drew criticism for stereotypical portrayals of Native Americans. The song sampled lyrics from “Indian Reservation” near the end and became McGraw’s first major crossover hit, though some radio stations reportedly refused to play it because of the backlash.

According to his obituary from The Guardian, during a radio interview with legendary DJ Casey Kasem, the songwriter claimed he had written “Indian Reservation” after being stranded in a snowstorm and taken in by a group of Cherokee people, even inventing a fictional Cherokee chief named “Bloody Bear Tooth.” He also falsely claimed he discovered he had Cherokee ancestry through the Dawes Rolls and had been honored by the Cherokee Nation. In reality, none of the story was true, and Loudermilk later acknowledged that he made it up as part of an elaborate prank.

Even so, the song remains one of the most memorable and unusual chart stories of the early 1970s, taking nearly a decade and three different versions before finally becoming a No. 1 hit.

Quote of the Day: Poet Sylvia Plath on Living ‘Richly in the Present’ Without ‘Letting It Be Tainted and Spoiled Out of Fear for the Future’

Wed, 05/06/2026 - 2:45am

Sylvia Plath is someone you’ve not only most likely heard about, but there’s also a possibility you’ve read one of her many works. Whether it was for school or on your own accord, Plath’s writing is so influential and penetrating that she’s one of those poets that you don’t just hear about, but actually read. As the Poetry Foundation put it, she’s “one of the most dynamic and admired poets of the 20th century.”

Her writing advanced the genre known as confessional poetry, which is categorized as poetry that is deeply personal, uses “I,” revolves around trauma or extreme issues, and might include subject matters like sexuality, mental illness or other topics that are “inappropriate” to talk about. While she’s not the first to write things from the perspective of someone with depression and deep feelings, her words are long-lasting and have made an impact on many who’ve read them. And that’s why our quote of the day by Plath might especially resonate with and stick with you regarding how to enjoy life.

As Britannica reported, Plath was born on Oct. 27, 1932, and started publishing poems from an early age, starting at eight and selling her first poem when she was in high school. She received a scholarship to go to Smith College in 1951. From there, she went on to study in Cambridge, England, and became an English instructor back at Smith College by 1957. She’s most well-known for The Bell Jar, which came out at the start of 1963.

The last five months or so before her death on Feb. 11, 1963, were very productive in a feverish way, Britannica reported. Plath wrote many poems that were very transparent about her inner turmoil and thoughts, and her intense depression. She also published another famous poem of hers, “Daddy,” during this time, which explores her volatile relationship with her father and her husband. Then, at the age of 30, Plath died by suicide.

Today’s quote came nearly a decade before her death and features an honest perspective from Plath, sharing how hard it is to live in the present and not dwell on what the future holds or what happened in the past. But from those words, we might be able to find our own hope.

Quote of the Day by Sylvia Plath

“The hardest thing, I think, is to live richly in the present, without letting it be tainted & spoiled out of fear for the future or regret for a badly-managed past.”

This quote comes from Letters of Sylvia Plath Volume I: 1940–1956, a collection of Plath’s correspondence from her childhood to her mid-twenties, with friends, boyfriends and more. The letters span before, during and after her first suicide attempt, as well as through her several shock treatments while at McLean Hospital that most likely did more harm than good. As the Harvard Review wrote, Plath’s letters show the reality that her psychiatric “care” was poorly handled and the shock treatment left “traumatic” impacts on Plath’s mental health that might have led to her eventual suicide in 1963.

Related: Quote of the Day: Psychologist Erich Fromm on Lasting Love, Loyalty and Commitment

Deeper Meaning of Sylvia Plath’s Quote—How To Live in the Present Without Fearing the Future or Regretting the Past

In the letter that this appears in, Plath is talking about all the things she’s been frustrated with in the last two years or so, including “having no inner life to speak of,” not writing, resentment at her own limitations and more. But then she does note things that are bringing her joy, such as the new moon, “the sudden gentler blue air today," seeing a baby, etc.—you know, the “little things,” as she writes.

She then quotes a boyfriend she had: “The important thing is to love this world; if a man has loved so much as a grapefruit, and found it beautiful, god will save him.” She follows this with her own quote, which is, of course, more profound and introspective: “The hardest thing, I think, is to live richly in the present, without letting it be tainted & spoiled out of fear for the future or regret for a badly-managed past.”

In her quote, Plath is saying that it can be really difficult to live in the moment and appreciate those little things that bring you joy because the constant “fear for the future” or regrets of the past might weigh down on your every thought. Now, this might be "more" of an issue for those with mental health issues, anxiety, OCD or a general predisposition to catastrophizing. But even the most well-adjusted people can get bogged down by the future or be haunted by things in the past.

With that all said, she makes a great point: it genuinely is difficult “to love richly in the present,” with those thoughts swirling around in your head. But it’s what you do with that that matters. It can feel “good” to dwell or wallow on those things for a little bit. However, knowing the truth in that quote might make it easier to snap yourself out of those doom spirals. It’s humanizing to realize we all relate to this sentence, yet we still go on.

So maybe instead of dwelling on Plath’s tragic end, we can see the hopeful side to her words here, and find the strength or resolve to push forward, while honoring her honesty at the same time.

If your backyard attracts a lot of sunshine, and you're prone to sunburn and overheating, then  you'll probably want some shade to keep you cool. Luckily, patio umbrellas are the easiest way to stay comfortable this season, and they're selling at Walmart right now at incredible prices, along with tons of other outdoor furniture. The Alpha Joy Extra Large Outdoor Patio Umbrella is just over 41% off, and you should add it to your cart.

The umbrella originally cost $170,  but has been reduced to $100 in the beige, blue, gray, and burnt orange colorway. The piece is being sold in 12 colors total, with the rest of the hues priced at $130. It's 7.2 feet tall and weighs 23.5 pounds when assembled. The fabric is made of 100% polyester with an alloy steel pole that's fade-, rust- and UV-resistant. We just recommended storing it indoors or keeping it closed during inclement weather.

The umbrella design features a rectangular shape with a classic crank mechanism that you can use to open and close it. Note that the base is not included, so you can place it inside your current patio table to keep it secure. The umbrella additionally has 12 steel ribs that allow it to last throughout the season.

The piece is marked as Walmart's overall pick, a flash deal, and is already in over 100 customer carts, so we're expecting it to sell out quickly. Make sure to shop for it while you can, as shoppers described the umbrella to be "excellent," "vivid," "well-made," and "beautifully sewn." Another customer wrote that "it offers incredible coverage" and makes for a "comfortable" spot to work or lounge in.

1995 Hit Action Film, Ranked Among ‘Best Movies’ Right Now, Is a Sequel

Wed, 05/06/2026 - 1:39am

A 1995 action sequel is back in the spotlight after earning a spot on The New York Times list of the “50 Best Movies on Netflix.” Desperado, directed by Robert Rodriguez, is once again drawing attention for its explosive style, star powera nd place in a beloved film trilogy.

Released as a follow-up to El Mariachi (1993), the film builds on Rodriguez’s early indie success. While the first movie became famous for its ultra-low budget, Desperado expanded the story with bigger action scenes, well-known actors and polished effects. The result is a sequel that feels larger, louder and more intense; qualities that helped it stand out then and now.

At the center of the film is Antonio Banderas, who plays El Mariachi, a guitar player turned gunfighter seeking revenge against a powerful drug lord. His mission begins after his lover is killed, setting him on a violent path through a dangerous underworld. Along the way, he meets Carolina, played by Salma Hayek, whose role in the film became a breakthrough in her Hollywood career.

The renewed buzz around Desperado comes from its inclusion in a respected list curated by The New York Times. The recognition highlights the film’s lasting appeal, especially among fans of action movies and classic ‘90s cinema.

Critics have long pointed out the film’s strengths and flaws. On one hand, its action scenes are fast, creative, and visually striking. Rodriguez’s direction uses bold camera angles, sharp editing and dramatic lighting to make each moment feel alive. As film critic Roger Ebert once wrote, “What happens looks terrific.” He also noted that the director “has a gift for visuals that can make scenes dance on the screen.”

At the same time, some reviews say the story is simple and focuses more on action than character depth. The Rotten Tomatoes consensus reflects this balance, stating, “Desperado contains almost too much action and too little of a story to sustain interest, but Antonio Banderas proves a charismatic lead in Robert Rodriguez's inventive extravaganza.”

Despite mixed-to-positive reviews, the film performed well at the box office, earning $58 million worldwide. It also gained a strong fan base over time, with audiences giving it a solid “B+” CinemaScore and a 79% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Desperado is the second film in Rodriguez’s “Mexico Trilogy,” which began with El Mariachi and later concluded with Once Upon a Time in Mexico. The sequel keeps the core story but adds more layers, including new characters and bigger stakes.

The film also features memorable supporting roles from actors like Steve Buscemi, Cheech Marin and Danny Trejo, each adding brief but impactful moments. Even Quentin Tarantino appears in a cameo, showing the strong ties between indie filmmakers of that era.

More than 30 years later, Desperado remains a key example of how a filmmaker can grow from indie roots to mainstream success. Rodriguez proved he could keep his unique style while working with a bigger budget and Hollywood stars.Today, Desperado continues to find new viewers through streaming platforms. Its return to the spotlight shows that even older films can stay relevant when they offer something exciting and different.

1978 Classic Ranked Among ‘Greatest Hard Rock Songs of All Time’ Turns 48 Years Old Today

Wed, 05/06/2026 - 1:11am

On May 6, 1978, Van Halen, born in Southern California and formerly named Genesis and Mammoth, released their freedom anthem, “Runnin’ with the Devil.” The song was the second single from the hard rock band’s Diamond-certified, debut self-titled album, Van Halen, released via Warner Bros. Records.

While “Runnin’ with the Devil” wasn’t a major top hit, the track, which followed the band’s successful cover of The Kinks’ “You Really Got Me,” signaled a major shift in rock music, ushering in the heavy guitar-driven sound of the ‘80s. The track peaked at No. 84 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Additionally, “Runnin’ with the Devil” has appeared on several “best-of” lists throughout the years, including being named the ninth ‘Greatest Hard Rock Song of All Time’ in 2009 by VH1 and also ranked one of Rolling Stone’s ‘100 Greatest Heavy Metal Songs of All Time’ in 2023.

Meaning of the Song

Written by the band members of Van Halen — Michael Anthony, David Lee Roth, and founding members and Dutch brothers Alex and Edward Van Halen —“Runnin’ with the Devil” may give off a satanic impression, but that’s not what the song is really about. Inspired by the Ohio Players’ 1974 song “Runnin’ from the Devil,” the title serves as a metaphor for the bold life decisions and risky choices the character makes.

Overall, the message of the tune is all about taking chances, living life to the fullest — in the fast lane — and not being afraid of the ride, even if it comes with consequences.

The Unique Opening Sequence

Ted Templeman served as producer for the track, helping come up with the unique opener, which finds the band members linking their cars together with batteries to replicate an iconic horn effect. That sound became the opener for the entire album, a suggestion that was made by Templeman, according to UltimateClassicRock.com.

Released in February 1978, Van Halen spawned additional singles, “You Really Got Me” by The Kinks, “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘bout Love,” and “Jamie’s Cryin'.”

Alongside the clip, the Mississippi native gave fans an update on her condition, writing, “[I’m] still working my way through voice rest, trying to get myself back to health as quickly as possible.”

Rescheduled Shows

Rimes’ post comes just days after she was forced to postpone a series of her 30 Years of Blue Tour dates due to what she described as “severe illness.” Spokane, Washington and Seattle, Washington were the first round of shows that have been rescheduled, with Rimes moving the dates to March 31 and June 2, respectively. New dates can also be found on Rimes' official website.

“I am truly heartbroken to have to reschedule, and I am so very grateful for your kindness and continued support as I recover. I look forward to being back on stage and seeing you very soon. Love, LeAnn,” She captioned in the April 29th Instagram Story.

Later in the week, Rimes revealed more show cancellations, which included Waukegan, IL (now moved to Nov. 6) and Wilmington, OH (now moved to Nov. 7). Refunds are available to those who cannot make the new dates, and original tickets will remain valid. In her post, Rimes also shared her doctor-given diagnosis, telling fans she has been battling a case of ‘severe laryngitis’ followed by a bout with covid.

“After a diagnosis of covid leading to severe laryngitis, I’m so sorry to have to reschedule next week’s shows,” she captioned an Instagram Story previously shared byParade. “A visit to my doctor for a scope of my vocal cords has confirmed the news, and I wanted to tell you as soon as I could.”
