1957 Hit Film Ranked Among ‘Best Movies of All Time’
Following the peak of the "Golden Age" of Hollywood, the 1950s offered a different kind of cinematic entertainment, marked by the rise of film noir and its darker, more complex storytelling.
Among the films that captured the public’s pulse was the movie Sweet Smell of Success.
Helmed by Alexander Mackendrick, the 1957 movie seamlessly blended drama and crime-thriller elements, which piqued the interest of viewers.
Apart from the intriguing storyline about how ambition and control can lead people to betray human decency, the cast lineup featured a stellar ensemble from its lead stars Burt Lancaster, Tony Curtis, Susan Harrison and Martin Milner, along with supporting members Sam Levene, Emile Meyer, David White and more.

Decades later, Sweet Smell of Success continues to captivate generations and is still ranked among the greatest films ever made.
Rotten Tomatoes, a popular TV and film review aggregation website, unveiled a list of the top 300 “best movies of all time.”
From modern to classic films with various genres, the ranking is based on the website’s signature Tomatometer rating, or a percentage showing how well a movie or TV show is received by professional critics.
Adding to the list of criteria are the number of Popcornmeter votes and the movie’s number of critics' reviews.
Sweet Smell of Success landed at No. 219 with a 98 percent Tomatometer rating, which means that it is almost universally praised by critics and only 2 percent gave a negative review.
Critics described the noir film as having “Lancaster’s crisp elocution was never put to more satisfyingly sinister ends,” while one called it “top of the line.”
Reviewers also praised the cast's performance, especially Tony Curtis, calling his acting “first-rate.”
While the Mackendrick-directed movie is universally regarded as a masterpiece, Sweet Smell of Success failed to score a nod at major award-giving bodies like the Academy Awards at the time of its release.
However, they did receive a nomination for Best Foreign Actor (Tony Curtis) at the 11th BAFTA Awards but lost to Henry Fonda for his role in 12 Angry Men.
Curtis went on to win the Best International Actor award at the Bambi Awards.
In addition to its critical reception, Sweet Smell of Success was not a box-office success but instead a commercial failure.

Why Is Prince George Going to Boarding School? Inside the Royal Tradition
Prince George will turn 13 years old in July, marking a significant educational milestone for the British royal family.
George currently attends the coeducational prep school Lambrook School along with his sister, Princess Charlotte, and his little brother, Prince Louis. At age 13, it is time to move to secondary school, or high school as it’s called in the U.S., and the heir apparent will likely follow in his family’s footsteps at a prestigious boarding school.
Why Will Prince George Go to Boarding School?Besides tradition, boarding school can offer security and privacy for a young royal as they navigate their teenage years. In addition, it makes it a more natural setting for socializing among their peers and building independence.

William and his brother, Prince Harry, began boarding school at the age of 8, following a long-standing royal tradition. Both attended Ludgrove School before transferring to Eton College from the ages of 13 to 18. Although their mother, Princess Diana, hated starting them so young, she later acknowledged that boarding school gave her sons a more “normal life” and the chance to socialize, instead of being isolated in the palace and taught only by tutors.

(Photo by Anwar Hussein/Getty Images) Will Prince George Attend Eton College?Eton College, William’s alma mater, is an all-boys full boarding school in Windsor, near the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Forest Lodge home located in Windsor Great Park.
The school for boys ages 13 to 18 is highly competitive and academically focused. A whopping 20 prime ministers have graduated from the institution, including Boris Johnson, David Cameron, and Harold Macmillan. The $70,000 per year price tag includes tuition, boarding, most games and activities, and educational materials.
While William and Kate have not confirmed this is where George will be going, it has been rumored that Eton is the top contender. Although students start as teens, they must be registered before June 30 of the school year when the boy turns 10, per Eton’s website, noting, "After this, the only route of entry will be through scholarships or Sixth Form entry, which open in Year 8 (for Year 9 entry) and Year 11 (for Sixth Form entry)."
William was the first senior royal to attend Eton when he enrolled in 1995, as his father attended Gordonstoun School in Scotland, but there were many other familiar faces on the alumni list. Princess Diana's brother and father were pupils there, as well as the Duke of Kent, the Duke of Gloucester, and Prince Michael of Kent, all relatives of Queen Elizabeth II.
During William’s time at Eton, he also forged a very strong bond with his grandmother, Elizabeth, during their weekly lunches. Robert Lacey, author of Battle of the Brothers, recounted Elizabeth and her husband, Prince Philip, “intervening” in William’s life while Charles and Diana’s marriage was falling apart.

"The 13-year-old was in a fragile place — alone and just starting boarding at the elite Eton College across the river from Windsor. Concerned for her grandson's emotional state, the Queen invited William up to join her when Eton boys went home for the weekend,” Lacey wrote in an essay for People. "Philip was crucial in helping coach William as a future King. It was Philip's idea to set up the lunches between William and his grandmother. When the time came for the Queen to talk business with William, Philip would quietly excuse himself because he didn't feel that the constitutional side of the Queen's job was something he wanted to interfere in."
Will Prince George Attend Marlborough College?Unlike previous heirs, George has always attended coed day schools, a direct reflection of William's modern parenting philosophy.
"That chimes with William wanting to do things in a more modern way, putting all three children in the same school," royal author Sally Bedell Smith told People. "It’s a new direction — groundbreaking for the royal family."

Unlike Eton, Marlborough College is coed and offers an option of full boarding or daytime only. It is situated in a rural Wiltshire town and is regarded as having a more modern approach to education.
Perhaps even more importantly, it is the alma mater of Kate Middleton and her siblings, Pippa and James.
If George attends Eton, it is likely Louis will also follow suit. However, as it’s an all-boys institution, it’s been strongly suggested that Princess Charlotte attend Marlborough like her famous mother.
Jane Seymour Celebrates Western-Themed 75th Birthday With the ‘Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman’ Cast
Jane Seymour recently celebrated her 75thbirthday on February 15, but the celebration came a little later in the year. On April 18, she shared a video to her Instagram that captured her reuniting with the cast of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman to celebrate the milestone. The event was organized by her non-profit, Open Hearts Foundation, which “empowers those who turn adversity into possibility.”
To honor her hit series, which was set in the mid-1800s, the party was western-themed. Guests wore cowboy hats and boots, and the cake was decorated with a horse topper and photos of her and her former castmates.
View this post on InstagramJoe Lando, who played her most frequently featured love interest on the show, attended the event. Other guests included Jessica Bowman, Brandon Douglas, Jason Leland Adams, Geoffrey Lower, Jonelle Allen, Frank Collison, Shawn Toovey, and Erika Flores.
Seymour captioned the post, which showed footage of the event, “The Jubilee was far more than a celebration. It was a beautiful reminder of how deeply connected we all are through the people we love, the memories we share, and the kindness we carry forward. To see dear friends from so many chapters of my life, including some I hadn’t seen in decades, was incredibly moving.”
View this post on InstagramShe continued, “I’m filled with gratitude for everyone who came, everyone who helped bring the celebration to life, every fan who has walked this journey with me, and every person who continues to support Open Hearts Foundation and the work we care so deeply about. Thank you for all the love, for all the years, and for making this celebration one I will never forget. My heart is so full."
Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman ran from 1993 to 1998. The series was about a wealthy doctor from Boston who established a practice in a Colorado town. Even though it had a solid viewership, it show was cancelled by CBS after six seasons, to many fans disappointment.

There are still many people who enjoy the series today. As one Reddit user said, “I remember watching this thinking, ‘So does everyone ELSE think [Seymour] is one of the most dazzlingly beautiful women they’ve ever seen?!' And yes, other people also thought this.”
Another said, “This is my favorite show of all time. There’s never been a show where I thoroughly enjoyed every character, every storyline, the costumes, the set design, just everything. It felt like such a big production, but no special effects or gimmicks. It was about the acting and the story. Jane Seymour is stunning. The entire cast was fantastic.”

I’m a Travel Editor and This $100 Quince Blazer Is My Packing Secret Weapon
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
As a travel editor who practically lives out of a carry-on, I’ve realized that the "perfect" packing list isn't about how much you bring—it’s about how hard each piece works. My goal is always the same: keep it lightweight, avoid the "why did I pack this?" regret, and make sure everything fits into my standard 4-4-4 capsule (four tops, four bottoms, four skirts/dresses).
While I stick to a strict neutral palette with maybe one seasonal pop of color—like a crisp navy and gold for my spring cruise rotations—there is one specific item that has quietly become the MVP of my wardrobe. It’s the piece that pulls a basic white tee and jeans into a "look" and makes me feel pulled together for a press dinner or a casual deck BBQ.
That item is the Quince Scuba Captain’s Convertible Blazer.

Why It’s a Travel Editor’s Holy GrailQuince
I know, I know—the "Coastal Grandmother" or Nancy Meyers aesthetic isn't for everyone. But growing up in coastal Massachusetts and spending every summer of my life between Maine and the Cape, this blazer feels like home. It’s made of a wrinkle-free scuba material that handles a 10-hour flight like a pro, and the gold buttons give it just enough "polished editor" energy without feeling stiff.
At this point, I’m basically a walking Quince ad. I’ve paired it with their blue-and-white striped shirts, their 90s-style cropped jeans and their black loafers for a look that works in an airport lounge, on the Amalfi Coast or in a midtown meeting.

- The "Travel Day" Uniform: Paired with navy leggings and a striped tee. I’m also eyeing their Dickie inserts (very Veronica Beard vibes) to add an extra layer of warmth for those notoriously freezing plane cabins.
- The "Dinner at Sea": Draped over the shoulders with cropped denim, a silk cami, and gold jewelry to match the buttons.

If the classic Navy isn't your speed, here are a few other tones that still deliver that structured, polished vibe:
- The Black Scuba: For a sleeker, more urban feel.
- The Flax/Sand: Perfect for those high-summer trips to the islands.
- The Camel: My go-to for late-season New England cruises.

I Asked 3 Chefs the Secret Ingredient to the Best-Ever Lemonade, and They All Said the Same Thing
Lemonade feels like one of those drinks you don't really need to think twice about. It's simple, familiar and easy to throw together with just a few ingredients—lemon juice, sugar and water. Most people have made some version of it at home, whether for a quick refresher on a hot day or to use up a few extra lemons sitting on the counter.
But that simplicity is also what makes it tricky.
With so few ingredients, there's nothing to hide behind. If the balance is even slightly off, you'll notice it right away. Too sour, and it's harsh. Too sweet, and it loses that clean, refreshing quality that makes lemonade so good in the first place. And sometimes, even when the ratios seem right, it still ends up tasting a little flat or one-dimensional.
That's usually when people start mixing things up, like adding more sugar, squeezing in extra lemon juice or adjusting the water, but according to chefs, those small adjustments only go so far.
The real difference comes from how you use the lemon itself.
To find out what actually makes homemade lemonade taste better, I asked three chefs to share the one ingredient or technique they rely on. And while their answers varied slightly, they all pointed to the same thing: the best lemonade starts with more than just the juice.

The Secret Ingredient to the Best-Ever Lemonade, According to 3 ChefsProxima13 / Shutterstock.com
Most homemade lemonade starts and ends with the juice. Once the lemons are squeezed, the rest of the fruit usually gets tossed without a second thought.
According to these chefs, that's where things go wrong.
Instead of relying on juice alone, they all point to the same upgrade: using the peel, whether that's through zest, oils or a quick muddling step, to bring out more of the lemon's natural flavor.
Related: How to Make the Best-Ever Lemonade, According to Ina Garten
Chef Ming Pu keeps it simple, explaining, "I recommend lightly muddling fresh lemon peel into the sugar first to extract the oils." That step pulls out the lemon's natural aromatics, adding a deeper, more rounded citrus flavor that you won't get from juice alone.
Chef Tom D'Ambrosio builds on that idea. "The secret to the most vibrant homemade lemonade is utilizing the fresh lemon zest, not just the juice," he tells Parade. "By aggressively muddling the fresh citrus peels with your sugar before adding any liquid, you extract the essential oils, which contain the true, floral essence of the fruit."
The result is a lemonade with noticeably more depth and aroma—something that tastes layered rather than one-note.
Chef François Payard approaches it from a pastry perspective, where balance is key. "The way to achieve that homemade, fresh lemonade taste that is not too sweet or cloying is to start with a simple syrup… flavored with lemon rind," he says. "The rind releases delicious lemon oils into your sweetener."
By infusing the peel directly into the base, the flavor becomes more rounded and integrated rather than just sweet and sour.
Different techniques, same takeaway: if you're only using lemon juice, you're leaving behind a significant amount of flavor.

Other Chef-Approved Lemonade TipsLiliya Kandrashevich / Shutterstock.com
Once the base is perfected, a few small changes can take your lemonade from good to noticeably better.
Payard starts with how the sweetness is handled. Instead of adding sugar directly, he builds a simple syrup so everything dissolves evenly and the texture stays smooth. He'll often use light brown sugar for a little more depth, then layer in something like basil or jalapeño if he wants to add contrast without overpowering the citrus.
Pu looks at it from a balance perspective. Rather than chasing sweetness, he focuses on rounding things out, noting that even a small pinch of salt can soften the acidity, making the lemon flavor taste brighter and more complete.
Related: The Italian Way To Make Lemonade 10x Better
Meanwhile, D'Ambrosio starts by working the lemon peel into the sugar before adding any liquid, building flavor early instead of trying to adjust it later. It's the same thinking behind his lemonade brand, where each batch is made by hand in small batches with a focus on distinct, well-balanced flavors, like prickly pear and huckleberry.
Payard also notes that when they're in season, Meyer lemons can make a difference. Since they're naturally sweeter and less acidic, it's easier to hit the right balance without overcorrecting with sugar.
And for a final touch, he'll sometimes finish lemonade with a splash of club soda, giving it a lighter, more refreshing feel.

Inside Andie MacDowell’s Relationship History: From 2 Marriages to Happily Flying Solo
Andie MacDowell has been married twice and came close to walking down the aisle a third time. But these days, she’s content on her own.
“I’m so single,” the star of The Way Homeshared on The Drew Barrymore Show in 2024. It’s possible she’s gone on a date or two since then, but it doesn’t sound like finding another husband is at the top of her to-do list.
“People finally gave up, because everybody would say, 'So, is there a man?'” Macdowell, 67, told Barrymore. “You know, years and years go by. Now, nobody asks me anymore."
“We had such an evolution of who we are as human beings," she added. "I do think that there is nothing wrong with being single, really. I have great female friends and I have some male friends that I like too."
Of course, MacDowell didn’t arrive at her conclusion without falling in love along the way. Keep reading to learn more about her high-profile relationships.
Is Andie MacDowell currently married?Nope. So far as the public is concerned, MacDowell has been flying solo for years. Speaking to Barrymore, the Groundhog Daystar explained that she’s single in part because she isn’t interested in playing the “subservient” role in a relationship.
“I think because I'm so independent and I've been alone for so long that any kind of dominance over me [is off-putting],” she explained.
She shared a similar sentiment in a 2018 interview with The Huffington Post. “I’m not dating. I wouldn’t mind it, but I don’t want to play that role anymore,” she said. “I’ve done it before. You get in with a man, and they start expecting that. I can’t do it.”

Who are Andie Macdowell’s ex-husbands? Andie MacDowell's first husband: Paul QualleyMacDowell met her first husband, model-turned-contractor Paul Qualley, while shooting a Gap ad in 1985.
Reflecting on that fateful day decades later (and long after their divorce), MacDowell wrote on Facebook, “...You can see how completely smitten I was when I met the father of my children on a GAP shoot. We had chemistry right off the bat — it was electric.”
The two tied the knot just a year after meeting and settled down on a ranch in Montana, where they had what appeared to be an idyllic marriage away from the glare of Hollywood. MacDowell, then a rising movie star, would jet off to shoots while Qualley stayed behind to manage the household and care for their three kids.
But at some point in the late ‘90s, their arrangement began to sour. “I decided I didn't want to grow older in the middle of nowhere among people who weren't my family," MacDowell told The Age in 2002. She and Qualley moved with their kids to North Carolina, just down the street from her sister, and a year later, the couple was getting divorced.
They kept it cordial for the sake of the children, but tensions surfaced publicly after MacDowell remarried in 2001. Qualley reportedly remarked that he hoped her new marriage would bring their kids more stability—a comment that MacDowell didn’t take lightly.
"Who knows if he said it or not," she responded in an interview with The Age. "I think I was stable the whole time, and that's not why I got remarried. I married because I love my husband."
She also suggested that Qualley’s reputation for being a house husband, which she helped build over the years, was perhaps not as warranted as it seemed.
"He was not really Mr Mom any more than I was Mrs Mom,” she said. “We had nannies.”
If there were any hard feelings, though, it appears they’re long gone. Looking back on their marriage, MacDowell wrote on Facebook in 2025, “...Even though we ended up getting a divorce (we were both heartbroken) we came out of it with three absolutely gorgeous children. Life is not always easy and sometimes you go through difficult times. But the great beauty of the process of life is you never know how it’s going to end.”
Andie MacDowell's second husband: Rhett HartzogMacDowell’s second marriage was to her former classmate Rhett Hartzog.
The two originally knew each other growing up in South Carolina, where they graduated from Gaffney High School just a year apart. “I had a secret crush on her in high school,” Hartzog, who owned a jewelry business in Atlanta, admitted after their relationship went public.
They reconnected in 1999 through MacDowell’s sister and were engaged later that year. “She’s such a good person, a great mother and a good Christian,” Hartzog told People. “She’s as pretty on the inside as she is on the outside.”
They tied the knot in November 2001 in Asheville, North Carolina, with 450 guests in attendance, including MacDowell’s three children from her first marriage. But the fairy-tale reunion didn’t last. After nearly three years of marriage, MacDowell filed for divorce. Details surrounding the split were kept largely out of the public eye, with one source telling People, “It’s a painful and very private time.”
How many children does Andie MacDowell have?MacDowell is a mom of three. She shares son Justin (born in 1986) and daughters Rainey (born in 1990) and Margaret (born in 1994) with her first husband, Paul Qualley.
Her oldest, Justin, tends to stay out of the spotlight, though he’s popped up alongside his mom at events over the years. Her daughters, meanwhile, have followed her into the entertainment world. Rainey is a multihyphenate—acting, modeling and making music under the name Rainsford—while Margaret has become a major star in her own right, landing roles in projects like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Netflix’s Maid and The Substance.
For MacDowell, building a family alongside her career was always the goal. “Being a mother was a priority to me,” she wrote in an Instagram post (via People). “I definitely wanted to have a successful career but I did not want it to be at the cost of not having the opportunity to have a family.”
She’s now a grandmother as well, first taking on the role in 2022 when her son Justin and his partner, Nicolette, welcomed a baby girl named Cozette. “I've never had somebody look into me and see my soul like that,” she said. “It was definitely a soul-to-soul connection.”
In December 2024, her daughter Rainey welcomed a baby girl named Bluebell.
Are Andie MacDowell and Paul Qualley still together? No. The pair divorced in 1999 after 13 years of marriage and three kids. Qualley has stayed out of the spotlight since then, but he was at daughter Margaret’s star-studded 2023 wedding to musician Jack Antonoff.

Why did Andie Macdowell call off her engagement to Kevin Geagan?MacDowell’s third engagement was to Asheville-area businessman Kevin Geagan, but little is known about their romance other than that they got engaged over the 2005 holiday season. “I can tell you that we are engaged. Obviously, I'm very happy.” Geagan, who owned a used-car business, golf course and other ventures in North Carolina, said at the time.
But despite the promising start, the relationship didn’t make it down the aisle. In true MacDowell fashion, the split was handled privately and without much fanfare, so it’s anyone’s guess as to why they called off the wedding.
Is Andie MacDowell single? It’s possible she’s in a relationship and keeping it to herself, but her public statements over the past several years suggest she’s happily single.
"I feel like a lot of times, we get this pressure we have to be with someone. That we're incomplete if we choose to be single,” she said on The Talk in 2019. “...I've been married and I know what it's like. It's great and everything, but I don't know that I really want to do it [again]. I want great friends … I want to go to bed by myself ... My life feels very full."
In a 2024 interview with Flow Space, she put it more bluntly. “Why would you even date? What’s the purpose?” she said. “Are you doing it because you want to have sex? Are you doing it because you want to be in a relationship? The things that I’m inspired to do right now are to make really good friends. I want smart friends. I want friends that care about me, that are loving and loyal, and that have deep conversations about things that I care about. But to go out and search for someone? What am I searching for?”

1970 No. 1 Hit Rock Anthem Was Originally Written for Someone Else
By 1970, The Beatles were unraveling, with behind-the-scenes tensions pushing the iconic group toward its end. Paul McCartney wrote what would ultimately become their final No. 1 hit, though the track was never intended for the band in the first place.
While in the countryside of Scotland in 1968, McCartney was inspired to write the track "The Long and Winding Road" while staring out at the road stretching up into the hills of the remote Highlands. At the time, the band members were going through growing tensions that would eventually lead to their disbandment. The track has often been seen as a representation of McCartney's then-feelings and a look back at the band's history.
"The Long and Winding Road" was written as a piano-based ballad in January of 1969, and McCartney has publicly admitted that it was never intended for the band to perform. According to American Songwriter, the track was specifically made for Tom Jones under the condition that he would release it as his next single. He had to turn it down, seeing as his record label instead wanted to release the track "Without Love."
In another interview about the track, McCartney also revealed that he wrote the track with the intention of it being sung by someone like Ray Charles. It was created to be sung by mainstream balladeers, with a demo having also been sent to Cilia Black. Instead, the song ended up being recorded by the Beatles, withJohn Lennon and George Harrisonlending some of their 1969 recordings to producer Phil Spector in the hopes of saving their album, Let It Be.

Spector ended up creating arrangements for the track that McCartney ended up hating and sought to have the English High Court dissolve the Beatles' legal partnership. "The Long and Winding Road" ended up releasing at part of their Let It Be album one month after McCartney announced the split of the Beatles.
The track ended up topping the Billboard Hot 100 charts in the No.1 spot for two weeks in June 1970. It was their second No. 1 hit of that year, and it also became their twentieth and final chart-topper as a band. The rock anthem has since become a favorite among fans and critics, with it being covered by other artists like Aretha Franklin and the very artists that McCartney intended the track for.

“That’s one of the reasons why I don’t go to award shows and stuff, the feeling of being in a room full of famous people who all want win some trophy, that feeling is such a s—– feeling,” Murphy told USA Today. “Everybody’s dressed and acting and fake … just being in a room full of famous people is just a weird − I don’t like it.”

The heavy metal "Rock You Like A Hurricane" group was set to perform in Shillong on April 21, Delhi on April 24, Bengaluru on April 26, and Mumbai on April 30.
The German group, which includes singer Klaus Meine, guitarist Rudolf Schenker, guitarist Matthias Jabs, bassist Paweł Mąciwoda, and drummer Mikkey Dee, did not state who was unwell, but several shows were cancelled in 2025 when vocalist Meine had a respiratory infection and was unable to sing, and many fans assumed it was related to lasting effects. 36 Years Ago Today, This ‘Days of Our Lives’ Legend Made His Unforgettable Return
On April 17, 1990, Days of Our Lives welcomed back fan-favorite character Bo Brady as portrayed by Peter Reckell, in a highly anticipated return that was heavily promoted at the time.
Reckel first joined the soap opera in 1983 as Bo Brady, a former merchant marine. Through his relationship with Kristian Alfonos’s Hope Brady, the pair quickly became one of the show’s most popular couples, achieving ‘super couple’ status. In 1986, after the birth of their son Shawn Douglas, Bo and Hope left Salem to sail the world abord their boat, the Fancy Face, named after Bo’s nickname for Hope.
Four years later, Reckell returned full-time. His comeback was heavily promoted, including a memorable teaser featuring Bo riding a motorcycle set to Holding out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler. “Can Hope be far behind?” the promo teased.
In the storyline, Bo return was tied to the kidnapping of Stephanie Johnson, his best friend Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and his sister Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) daughter.
AS the storyline unfolded, Alfonoso briefly returned, playing a key role in the fan-favorite Cruise of Deception story arc, which saw several Salem residents trapped on a dangerous voyage. The storyline ended with Hope being presumed dead after being a locked in a cage that exploded above a vat of acid alongside villain Ernesto Toscano.
Following Hope’s presumed death, Bo moved forward and found love again with Carly Manning (Crystal Chappell), a pairing that also resonated with viewers.

However, three years later, at the end of his contract, Reckell exited the soap again, with the role of Bo recast with Robert Kelker-Kelly.
Reckell returned again in 1995, reuniting with Alfonso, who had been portraying the mysterious ‘Gina.’ In a fan-favorite reveal, it was ultimately confirmed that Gina was actually Hope. The truth came to light during an emotional scene in which Bo read a letter Hope had written, only for her to finish it aloud, confirming her identity.
DAYS OF OUR LIVES -- Season 30 -- Pictured: (l-r) Kristian Alfonso as Hope Brady, Peter Reckell as Bo Brady (Photo by Chris Haston/NBCU Photo Bank/NBCUniversal via Getty Images via Getty Images)Reckell remained with the series until 2010, later returning in 2015 for the show’s 50th anniversary. In that storyline, Bo appeared to die in Hope’s arm following a quick battle with a brain tumor.
Reckell’s most recently returned in 2025 as part of a dramatic storyline in which Bo had been in a coma after being shot by his son, Shawn Douglas (Brandon Beemer), during an attempt to protect Hope. The story saw Bo develop sepsis before ultimately receiving a cure. His recovery came at a cost, however, as his close friend, and former brother, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) died. Bo eventually awakened and reunited with his family before leaving Salem once again.
Reckell has expressed interest in returning to the series in the future, though no additional appearances have been confirmed.

Nancy Guthrie Update: Genetic Genealogist Shares New Insight Into DNA Analysis Timeline
Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing after her Feb. 1 abduction in Tucson, Ariz.—and a genetic genealogist just shared new insight into the DNA analysis timeline.
On April 16, those following the 84-year-old's case learned that the FBI had received DNA evidence from Nancy’s home. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) initially sent the evidence, a hair sample, to a private lab in Florida.
During an interview with NewsNation shared on YouTube on April 19, genetic genealogist CeCe Moore weighed in on the DNA evidence—and how long it could take for the FBI to get results.
She explained that she assumes the sample is a rootless hair, as until recently, it wasn't possible to extract useful DNA from. However, the FBI is using new technology in hopes of identifying Nancy's kidnapper.
"I am imagining that the FBI is first looking at that to determine whether it could be consistent with Nancy's hair, or any of the family members, or known individuals who had been in that house," Moore said. "If not, I am assuming that they will forward that on to Astraya Forensics, and the processing will begin at that point."
She continued, "It can take months. In my experience with them, I've already helped law enforcement solve six cases using rootless hair alone. And so, I know it can be done. My guess is that because this is not a cold case yet, and most of the cases are where we're using rootless hair, that they will push this to the top of the priority list and get it done more quickly."

Moore concluded, "But it is impossible to predict just how long because sometimes the first one or two tries are not successful. I've seen cases where they had to try three different times before they were able to extract that snip profile."
Nancy was last seen at her Catalina Foothills home on the evening of Jan. 31. The PCSD (later with the help of the FBI) launched the search on Feb. 1. As of writing, no suspect has been named, despite Savannah offering a $1 million reward for information leading to Nancy's recovery.

1994 Hit Film Ranked the No. 1 ‘Thriller Movie That Defines the Genre’
Colliderrecently put together a list of the “Most Important Thriller Movies that Define the Genre.” Making the list are classic films like The Silence of the Lambs, Seven, andFight Club. However, the number one spot went to the iconic Quentin Tarantino film, Pulp Fiction.
Released in 1994, the black comedy tells the tale of four intertwining tales of crime and violence. The two-and-a-half-hour film is packed with stars, including John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Tim Roth, Amanda Plummer, Christopher Walken, and Ving Rhames.
When speaking about how the idea was formed in a 1994 interview, Tarantino said, “The idea for Pulp Fiction was born even before I began writing Reservoir Dogs. I was trying to imagine how to make a film without money, so I thought of a short I’d be able to show at festivals that could be a kind of calling card. I’d be able to demonstrate what I was capable of, which would allow me to shoot a feature-length film. So I thought of the story of Vincent Vega and Marsellus’s wife. Then I realized, why not write a second short crime story, and then a third, and then shoot them one after another when I got enough money together, and then put them together?”

Pulp Fiction was a major success as soon as it was released, winning the Palme d'Or at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival. It went on to receive 7 nominations at the Academy Awards, bringing home one win. Many fans consider this one of the greatest films of all times. Entertainment Weekly dubbed it the best film since 1983.
Pulp Fiction currently has a 96% audience score and 92% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. As one reviewer said, “Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction not only remains his best movie, but is an exhilarating crime saga full of great performances and energetic writing.”
Another raved, “A truly great soundtrack keeps the tone hip and even steals a scene or two. Not that Tarantino doesn't have plenty to spare. Pulp Fiction is riveting filmmaking—funny, visceral, stylish and so unabashedly original that you never want it to end.”
Pulp Fiction is widely considered Tarantino’s greatest work. However, he has created many other hits over the course of his career, like Reservoir Dogs, Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, From Dusk Till Dawn, Django Unchained, Inglourious Basterds, and Kill Bill.
Carol Connors Reveals the Truth About How Her Famed Relationship with Elvis Presley First Began
As any fan of the King of Rock and Roll is likely to know, Elvis Presley had many different romantic relationships throughout the course of his life.
Along with various relationships to noteworthy celebrities like Ann-Margret, Connie Stevens, Sybil Shepherd and Natalie Wood, Presley famously enjoyed a nine-month romance with accomplished pop star Carol Connors.
While the 85-year-old Connors has openly discussed her relationship with Presley over the past several decades, her new memoir and documentary Elvis, Rocky & Me: The Carol Connors Story finds Connors exploring the topic in greater detail than ever before.
“It's not just good feelings,” the Oscar-nominated singer-songwriter told People of the new projects. “As I said to the producer and the director, I said, ‘Don't whitewash me. Please don't whitewash me. I've led a very checkered past, and if I'm going to do this, I'm going to do it. And if I'm not going to do it, I won't do it.’”
To that end, the former Teddy Bears member emphasized her desire for complete and total honesty, no matter how potentially painful those particular moments in her life turned out to be.
“Even in the book, the memoir and the audiobook, which [got a] Grammy nomination, I like to think that I'm honest about everything,” Connors said.
In particular, Connors sought to present a transparent illustration of her relationship with Elvis, which began as a romantic affair before becoming a lifelong friendship. As Connors remembered it, the two first met at Presley's Los Angeles home back in 1964.
“I walked down these steps, and he was standing in the corner….He finally came up to me, and he said, ‘So, why’d you name the group the Teddy Bears?’" Connors previously told Rewind Magazine. "I looked up at him and said, ‘I just wanted to be your teddy bear.’ That started our love affair."
With Connors admitting that Presley was "very special" to her, she also reiterated that the new documentary shares "some stories that you wouldn't have heard because they were pretty personal between Elvis and me."
BookCon 2026: How ‘Heated Rivalry’ Season 2 Will Change ‘Role Model’s Tone
Crave's Heated Rivalry adapted the book of the same name. It's the second one in the Game Changer series by Rachel Reid. The tricky thing is that the other books focus on characters in the same league as Shane (Hudson Williams) and Ilya (Connor Storrie), and are part of their later story.
Season 2 will adapt the book, Role Model, which was released before The Long Game. Showrunner Jacob Tierney revealed what he'll change in Role Model to fit it into season 2 and 3.
‘Heated Rivalry’ Season 2 Will Lean Into ‘Damaged’ Troy Barrett Hudson Williams as Shane Hollander in 'Heated Rivalry'Troy Barrett is the main character in Role Model, and the book starts when he joins Ottawa's team after Ilya joins and becomes their captain. Troy gets a romantic story along with his emotional journey to come out.

"There is an easy, facile way of looking at Role Model," Tierney said at BookCon, according to Entertainment Weekly. "It's very 'grumpy sunshine.' It's very 'apple orchard.' It can drift into things that you want, but Troy is a really damaged guy. And Troy is quite damaged on the show. I would say we're digging into that even harder."
Troy is a character full of angst, which is fitting for Ilya's story in The Long Game. The two books overlap in their timeline.
Of course, Shane and Ilya's story will look different from the first season. "What do you do after the rush of danger is gone and yet now you have to live in a relationship where you still aren't communicating properly, much as you would like to?" the showrunner asked.
"You can say you love each other, but as adults know, there's so much more than that to make a relationship successful. And that is what they're learning," he continued.
Heated Rivalry Season 2 might split The Long Game across two seasons to fit all the plot points. Season 2 is expected to be released in April 2027.

'Bewitched' Star Erin Murphy Remembers Her TV Dad on His Birthday
Erin Murphy paid tribute to her late Bewitched co-star Dick Sargent on what would have been his 96thbirthday. In a post to Facebook on April 19, the former child star shared a throwback photo from the 1960s ABCsitcom that featured her sitting on a carousel alongside Sargent and fellow series stars Elizabeth Montgomery and Agnes Moorehead.
“Happy Birthday, Darrin Daddy!” Murphy, 61, captioned the sweet snap. “I love and miss you, Dick Sargent.”
Sargent played Darrin Stephens, Murphy’s dad and Montgomery’s husband, on Bewitched from 1969 to 1972, and was the second actor to do so. He replaced original star Dick York in Season 6 after York left the show due to medical issues. Sargent died of prostate cancer in July 1994 at age 64.
Following Sargent’s death, Montgomery was quoted by the Seattle Times as saying, "He was a great friend, and I will miss his love, his sense of humor and his remarkable courage."

Erin Murphy lost all 3 of her ‘Bewitched’ parents in a short timeSargent’s death came two years after York also passed away at a young age. The original Darrin actor died in February 1992 at age 63 of complications from emphysema. York spent his final years before his death housebound and on an oxygen tank. In 1989, he joked to the Los Angeles Times, “I feel wonderful--it’s just my body that’s dying.”
“I knew that Dick York was very sick," Murphy once said in an interview, adding that she remembered him leaning against a board between scenes to alleviate his bad back.
Less than a year after Sargent died, Montgomery died of colon cancer at age 62.
In a December 2025 interview with Celebrity Drop, Murphy said she didn’t realize how sick Montgomery was just before her death. “She was much too young,” Murphy said. “I’m going to be 62 next year, so the thought of that is just crazy.”

Erin Murphy never played favoritesMurphy has long been “diplomatic” when asked to rank her two Darrin daddies. In a 2025 interview with People magazine, she said she had fond memories of working with “both” actors who played her dad. “They were wonderful guys,” she said.
Speaking on the Media Path podcast, she noted, “Dick Sargent was a different Darrin. I as a kid acting with him noticed that he played the part differently. It was not the same.”
Still, the actress never expressed a preference until last fall. “My entire life I have been so diplomatic because I loved them both,” Murphy told People. "They were wonderful guys.”
She then added that York was a better Darrin only because he was more like a real father to her off-camera. “Dick York was a dad, and he had a lot of kids, and he was just more paternal. So he was more like a dad,” she said. “Dick Sargent was a great guy, and we were in touch up until he passed away.”
