This 'Days of Our Lives' Legend Debuted 43 Years Ago Today in 1983—And Daytime’s Most Iconic Romance Was Born
On this day in 1984, Kristian Alfonso made her debut on the NBC soap opera Days Of Our Lives as Hope Williams, daughter of Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and Addie Horton (Patricia Barry).
Alfonso was the fifth actress to portray the role of Hope, since the characters birth in 1974.
The character quickly became a fan favorite, largely due to her romance with Bo Brady (Peter Reckell), which evolved into one of the show’s most iconic supercouples.

In 1990, Reckell returned to the show full-time, and Alfonso briefly reprised her role for the fan-favorite ‘Cruise of Deception’ storyline. The arc ended dramatically, with Hope presumed dead after being dropped into a vat of acid by villain Ernesto Toscano.

Her character was discovered at Stefano’s compound, Maison Blanche, in New Orleans, but appeared to be a woman named ‘Gina.’ After multiple twist, it was ultimately revealed that ‘Gina’ was, in fact, Hope Brady.
Alfonso remained a central figure on Days of Our Lives until her full-time exit in 2020. She later returned for the Peacock spinoff Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem, where she reunited with Reckell.

In addition to Days of Our Lives, Alfonso’s credits include, Falcon Crest, Melrose Place, Friends, and The Chronicle Mysteries.
For her work on the soap, Alfonso earned multiple Soap Opera Digest awards as well as a Daytime Emmy Award for America’s Favorite Couple which she shared with Peter Reckell.

The Long-Forgotten '50s B-Horror Movie That Marked Clint Eastwood's Official Big Screen Debut: 'Revenge of the Creature'
With the benefit of hindsight, it's easy to associate Clint Eastwood with his career-making performances in his numerous Westerns over the years.
Like fellow industry giants John Wayne or Gary Cooper, Eastwood helped redefine the entire Westerns genre for generations, as seen through his iconic work on films like The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, A Fistful of Dollars and Unforgiven.
While closely recognized for his achievements within the larger Western genre, it's interesting to note that Eastwood's first on-screen appearance came courtesy of a little-known B-horror movie that earned almost universally negative reviews.
At the time of its release, 1955's Revenge of the Creature acted as a direct sequel to Universal's far better-received Creature from the Black Lagoon. While most viewers have long since forgotten the movie, Revenge of the Creature remains most notable today for the early appearance of Eastwood, who briefly appears as an uncredited lab tech in the film.
Though it's far from a substantial part, Eastwood does hand in a humorous enough moment as the absent-minded technician, right down to the moment he pulls a live rat from his lab coat after claiming to have lost the animal during an ongoing experiment.
The year 1955 proved an exciting year for the then 25-year-old Eastwood. The same year he appeared in Revenge of the Creature, the young actor also appeared in a string of movies, including Francis in the Navy, Lady Godiva of Coventry and Tarantula.
That same year, he also appeared in two different TV projects, starting with the TV movie Allen in Movieland and an episode of Highway Patrol. Of course, the actor's big break came courtesy of the wildly popular Western TV series Rawhide just a few short years down the line.
After appearing in the main role of Rowdy Yates for six years on the series, Eastwood managed to successfully transition back to a full-time role in film, eventually landing a starring role in the influential Western, A Fistful of Dollars.
Selma Blair on Her MS Healing Journey, the Joy of 'DWTS,' and More (Exclusive)
While Selma Blair may have a new lease on life following a public battle with multiple sclerosis, she's putting a positive spin on her past thanks to a new partnership that prioritizes comfort.
Launching Tuesday, the 'Cruel Intentions' star has teamed up with luxury apparel brand Mersea, for a capsule collection, entitled Sea La Vie, inspired from times she needed comfy clothes the most—while longing for days at the beach.
"I was in the heart of being really unwell and I was in bed a lot," she told Parade of when she first received an unexpected package from the brand she had already admired. "So when I was feeling better, now that I'm relapse free, and I'm definitely gaining stamina, I approached them, [and said,] 'Would you ever be interested in doing a collaboration?'"
The collection, which consists of matching pajama sets, sleep and beach accessories, a quilted "bed jacket" inspired by her mother, and more, is a nod to Blair's healing journey following her MS diagnosis in 2018, from when getting out of bed was a task in itself, to now, as she's back to traveling and working on various film projects.
"It's what I would dream... that I'd ever feel good enough and go to a beach," she said of when the sun would "decimate" her and she couldn't travel. "That's really what it embodies for me, and love of travel and love of experience and a lot of things that I don't have a lot of energy for."
While she still deals with fatigue and lingering mobility issues, she hopes that the brightness of the collection will also serve as a mental boost for anyone struggling physically.
"Even if someone's too tired to get out of their pajamas for the day, I want them to still feel special and beautiful and that they made an effort," she added.

And while Blair contributed to the designs, incorporating her own "preppy-leaning" style, she mentioned that some inspiration also came from her work, specifically that the use of navy blue was a "Vivian Kensington kind of navy," referencing her iconic role in 2001's 'Legally Blonde.'
These days, as she's slowly but surely returning to acting, Blair has a plus-one in her service dog, an English Labrador named Scout, whose been by her side since the early days of her diagnosis.
"I didn't think I'd ever go back to set," she said of projects that she has in the works, which includes a film starring Kelsey Grammar. "So now I'm like, 'Wait, when I'm on set, what do I do with [Scout]? Can you write a dog into the scene on the rug?'"
"[I'm] just getting my stamina and probably a movie in the fall, but we'll see how that turns out," she added of upcoming work.

And when it comes to selecting projects, she credits her experience on Dancing with the Starswith her newfound ability to be as open minded as possible.
"I used to have a certain snobbery about things, but now ever since doing Dancing with the Stars and finding such a broader audience of people that were affected by someone trying so hard, I realized that there's a lot of kindness in strangers out there," she said.
"That show brought me so much joy," she added. "And it was so needed, and I never would've wanted to do that show. I didn't know how to dance. I certainly wasn't moving that well that point in my life."
Partnered with pro Sasha Farber for Season 31 in 2022, Blair was not yet relapse free at the time and voluntarily left the competition. However, she struck a chord with viewers as her struggles with her autoimmune disease were on full display.
"I [went] from so many years not moving to pushing myself so much and that's why I had to leave the show in that fifth episode," she recalled. "So then I had to heal again. You get back into bed, hence the pjs."
"I wish I could go back, like a reunion show," she added.
Robin Harper for MERSEA
Speaking of reunions, Blair regularly keeps in touch with former co-star Christina Applegate, who also suffers from MS. She mentioned that while they were always close, since starring in 2002's 'The Sweetest Thing' together, their shared diagnoses created a bond that she didn't expect.
"She'll always be an ear for me as soon as I text her or call her, usually we're in bed," Blair said. "She got me into Love Boat. She really likes Below Deck. She's a real fan of the nautical stuff, I'm more on land."
Of Applegate's debut memoir, Blair shared that she's "so proud of her right now" and that she'll "always be cheering her on."
"But I really have to make sure Christina gets this bed jacket," she noted, as she was sporting one herself. "I'm noticing her Instagram, everything's from the bed. I'm like, 'Oh wow, You're letting everyone know our secrets."

1964 Hit Film With 4-Time Oscar Winner Ranked Among ‘Best Movies of All Time’
Widely regarded as one of the pivotal moments in 1960s cinematic art, A Fistful of Dollars not only introduced a new kind of Western film but also established a lasting legacy that continues to influence the big screen decades later.
Released in January 1964 by Italian director and screenwriter Sergio Leone, the film introduced a new subgenre known as the “Spaghetti Western.”
It was a style of Western filmmaking produced by Italian companies that broke away from traditional production methods and storytelling conventions.
One of its unique techniques was shooting films without live sound and later dubbing dialogue and effects.
Moreover, the sequences are often paired with dramatic musical scores to heighten the atmosphere.
Beyond the bold storyline and experimental vision of the director, what also made A Fistful of Dollars a box-office hit was its stellar ensemble, starting with the iconic Clint Eastwood, who played the anti-hero, Joe, also known as the Man with No Name.

This film also sparked Eastwood's international stardom, further cementing his name in the industry.
Before rising to fame as a director and producer, earning four Oscar awards for films such as Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby, the California native first established himself as an actor.
A Fistful of Dollars highlights the Man with No Name as a wanderer and a morally ambiguous character. However, his goal is to manipulate two opposing families into conflict for his benefit.
Joining him as lead stars were Gian Maria Volontè, who played the antagonist Ramón Rojo. He is the ruthless Winchester-wielding leader of the Rojo brothers.
Lastly, Marianne Koch played a local woman named Marisol. She was held captive by Ramón Rojo but was eventually rescued by Joe in what becomes his only truly selfless act in the story.
Despite not receiving any major recognition from award-giving bodies, A Fistful of Dollars received a strong public reception, making it a massive box-office success at the time.
The movie earned a gross of approximately $14,504,161 worldwide.
Decades later, it was considered among the highest-rated movies of all time, as cited by Rotten Tomatoes.
The popular review aggregation website for film and television unveiled the top 300 best movies of all time as reviewed by critics and users.
A Fistful of Dollars landed at No. 227 with a 98 percent Tomatometer, which represents the percentage of professional critic reviews that are positive, praising it for “great cinematography and score” as well as its “fantastic action-packed scenes.”

Adam Sandler’s Beautiful Daughters Steal the Show on the Red Carpet Alongside Their Proud Parents
Adam Sandler is one proud papa!
The legendary actor and comedian, who has done everything from stand-up comedy to starring roles in films by Paul Thomas Anderson and Noah Baumbach, counts being a dad as his favorite role. So when he got the chance to work the red carpet at the Roommates premiere alongside his wife, Jackie, and stunning daughters Sunny and Sadie, the comedy king didn't miss the chance.
The Roommates premiere had special meaning for the Sandler family, however. Sadie Sandler, 19, has a starring role in the film, which follows a college freshman who finds herself with a difficult roommate. With his wife and daughters by his side, Sandler couldn't have been prouder as he sported his typical red carpet sportswear.

How Does Adam Sandler Feel About Becoming an Unintentional Style Star? While Sandler will do almost anything to avoid wearing a suit, he didn’t set out to become a fashion icon. In fact, he does find the whole thing a bit humorous. When Complex asked him how he feels about the unintentional honor of wardrobe legend, Sandler simply laughed.
“It’s funny as hell,” Sandler explained while promoting Happy Gilmore 2. “And whenever one of my kids or their friends talks to me about it… my wife’s like, ‘What the hell are we talking about right now? How did that happen?’
“But my wife always was nice to me about my clothes,” he added. “Even when we were young, others would say, ‘Would you put on something better than that? Your wife’s dressed so beautifully.’ My wife would say, ‘He’s comfortable like that. Let him do that. Leave him alone.’ “
If you’re looking to emulate the actor’s style, he told Esquire a few years back what it takes to score his level of fashion knowledge.
“I go with a lot of XXL even though I’ve been told I don’t need a XXL,” Sandler told the publication. “I wear the XXL shirts. I wear the XXL shorts. I pull my socks up goofy and I wear my sneakers.”
He also advises sticking with stuff that’s worn in.
“Usually I wear the same clothes a lot because after it gets out of the laundry it feels even better. New stuff kind of gets me itchy.”

Crumbl Introduces a New First-Ever ‘Chocolate Experience’ for a Limited Time
As Crumbl works to evolve its menu beyond just cookies, they’re introducing a new “chocolate experience.”
Crumbl’s fudgy Brownie Dippers will be available in stores only from April 20-25 as part of their weekly rotating menu. Each order of Brownie Dippers will include a cup of bite-sized dippable brownie pieces, served alongside a smooth fudge frosting and chocolate sprinkles. Extra frosting cups are also available upon request.
As part of their April 6-11 menu, Crumbl introduced a new take on the sandwich cookie with their Dubai-style dessert. The cookie featured two thin, crispy, chewy chocolate cookies sandwiched with a layer of pistachio and Kataifi filling. Their newest Brownie Dippers are another way the dessert chain is putting its creativity on full display.
Crumbl/JBC PRTheir desserts aren’t the only way Crumbl is showing its innovation. In partnership with Interior Concept Design House, Crumbl recently moved into its new headquarters.
“I think sometimes people see Crumbl as this big corporation, but the truth is every single store is locally owned and operated,” Sawyer Hemsley, Crumbl’s co-founder, shared on Instagram, along with photos of their new location. “These owners are part of their communities. They care deeply... They’re the ones showing up early, staying late, and pouring everything they have into their stores.”
Hemsley continued, saying that when you support Crumbl, “you’re supporting real people, real families, real communities.”
Hemsley said that while they're still putting the final touches on their new headquarters, he was able to give his mom and sister a tour of the new location.
"Crumbl started with my small family and my cousin’s family," Hemsley said. "That was it.. We never imagined it would grow into what it is today!"
Before the Brownie Dippers arrive on April 20, stop by a local Crumbl store to try their first weekend of “Cookiechella,” which includes their brand new Confetti Cake Batter Cheesecake.
Chris Rock and Eddie Murphy’s Stunning Daughters Hit the Red Carpet With Their Famous Dads
Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock are two of the most famous comedians in the world, but their favorite roles might be that of proud fathers.
Murphy, 65, rose to fame as a stand-up comic before hitting Saturday Night Liveand going on to beloved roles in films like Coming to America, Trading Places, and Beverly Hills Cop. Rock, 61, also broke boundaries as a standup, and then went on to SNL. His UPN series, Everybody Hates Chris, earned critical acclaim, and he continues to sell out shows to this day. But the dynamic comedy duo found two special dates for the premiere of Netflix's Roommates this week at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood: Their daughters.
Rock was joined by his stunning lookalike daughter, Zahra Rock, 21, while Murphy was joined by his beautiful daughter, Bella Murphy, 24, with whom he even appeared on the cover of Essence Magazine back in 2021. Now those are two proud papas!

Eddie Murphy Is a HomebodyBack in November, Murphy made it clear that he's not one for hanging out with famous people all the time. In fact, he prefers to stay at home with his family. So what's the reason why he'd rather hang out at home than with other celebrities? Simply put, he thinks they’re “fake.”
“That’s one of the reasons why I don’t go to award shows and stuff, the feeling of being in a room full of famous people who all want win some trophy, that feeling is such a s—– feeling,” Murphy told USA Today. “Everybody’s dressed and acting and fake … just being in a room full of famous people is just a weird − I don’t like it.”
The natural homebody prefers to hang out with his loved ones.
“ I’ve always liked to stay around the house,” Murphy continued. “The people I know that do stand-up comedy … they do it because they love it. They love it. They get something from getting on that stage and feeling the energy and all, and I’m the exact opposite. My batteries get recharged in a quiet setting when I’m at home, or I’m somewhere where everything can slow down; that’s where I get energized. The crowd saps my energy.”

John Carpenter's 'Escape from New York' to Receive Upcoming Remake – And Fans Are All Saying the Same Thing: 'How About NO'
Forty-five years after the original stunned theatergoers across the globe, John Carpenter's iconic cult action film Escape from New York is currently scheduled to receive a long-awaited remake, as reported by IndieWire.
The announcement of the film came this past Monday at CinemaCon, with producer Studiocanal sharing few details about the project aside from the fact that it is currently in very early pre-production. Similarly, it's not yet known which cast or crew might sign on to work on the latest remake attempt of the cult classic '80s thriller.
As fans of the original might recall, Escape from New York featured a dystopian version of the U.S. where New York City has become a maximum security prison run by an authoritarian U.S. government.
When the President of the United States (Donald Pleasence) is kidnapped by opportunistic criminals inside the city, the government sends in disgraced ex-Special Forces operative Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) to rescue the president and avert the looming the threat of World War III.
Released to positive reviews at the time of its theatrical debut in 1981, Escape from New York has gone on to enjoy favored cult status in the decades since, with many fans and critics considering it one of director John Carpenter's best films.
With its iconic reputation today, most viewers remain largely ambivalent towards the idea of an Escape from New York remake, with one fan writing on IndieWire's Facebook post, "How about NO."
Of course, this is hardly the first time a remake of Escape from New York has been discussed by a major studio. As IndieWire pointed out, previous attempts to remake the film have been helmed by everyone from Joel Silver (Die Hard) and Robert Rodriguez (From Dusk till Dawn) to Radio Silence (Ready or Not), all of which have stalled out for some reason or another over the years.
Disneyland Paris’ New ‘Up’ Ride Has a Name—and It’s a Love Letter to Adventure
If you’ve been following the massive evolution of Disneyland Paris, you know that the former Walt Disney Studios Park is currently in the middle of a serious glow-up. Now officially known as Disney Adventure World, the park is trading its "behind-the-scenes" industrial roots for immersive lands like the newly opened World of Frozen.
But for those of us who still tear up during the first 10 minutes of Up, the biggest news just dropped. Disney has officially confirmed the name and details for the first-ever attraction inspired by the Pixar classic: Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings.
Slated to launch in 2027, this isn't a high-tech "mega-thrill." Instead, it’s a beautifully themed "flying chair" carousel—the kind of classic, wind-in-your-hair experience that perfectly mirrors the feeling of floating away with a thousand balloons.

View this post on Instagram The Design: Art Nouveau Meets PixarWhat makes this move so interesting is the aesthetic. Rather than just being a colorful kids' ride, the architecture will blend Art Nouveau influences with industrial wrought iron. Think elegant arches meeting whimsical cloud and balloon motifs.
According to details shared byWDW News Today, the queue is where the real storytelling happens. It will feature four distinct areas packed with "Easter eggs" from the film, including Carl’s boyhood aviator helmet and Ellie’s iconic "Adventure Book." It’s a move that prioritizes the feeling of the film over just the flash of a new ride.

- Rapunzel Tangled Spin: A whimsical new addition for the Tangled fans.
- The Regal View Restaurant: A high-end dining spot with a front-row seat to the park's new lakefront.
- The Gazebo Gardens: A rare, quiet "sanctuary" space for outdoor lounging.

1976's No. 1 Hit Film Was Almost a Made-for-TV Movie
The biggest movie of 1976 was almost a TV movie instead—and the deal was handled by a Happy Days star.
During an appearance on Sirius XM’s Sway in the Morning, Happy Days star Henry Winkler once revealed he negotiated a deal with ABC to make Sylvester Stallone’sRocky script into a network TV movie in the mid-1970s.
At the time, Stallone's only movie credit was in the 1974 movie The Lords of Flatbush, which also starred Winkler. But Winkler was one of the biggest stars on TV, playing Happy Days icon Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli, when Stallone showed him the script for a feature film.
“He came to Hollywood, his car broke down on Sunset Boulevard, he called me up,” Winkler recalled of his early friendship with Stallone. “I went to get he and his wife Sasha and their bull mastiff dog, left the car with all their belongings, took him to the apartment he rented. He gave me a script because I was doing the Fonz by then, and I took it to ABC and sold it as a television movie."
While network executives were impressed with the script, they wanted someone other than Stallone to rewrite it. But Stallone didn’t want his story about an Italian-American underdog boxer changed, so he begged Winkler to cancel the deal.
“I said, ‘ABC, I’m giving you back the money, I need that script back,’ and I gave it back to him, and it became Rocky,” Winkler said on the podcast. “And that is the honest truth.”
Stallone insisted on starring in ‘Rocky’Stallone wrote the script for Rocky in three days, according to Variety. When shopping his screenplay around, he insisted that he play the lead role of Rocky Balboa.
In an interview on CBS Mornings, Stallone revealed that multiple studios wanted the script, but didn’t want him. He was offered up to $360,000 for his screenplay, which would have made him the equivalent of a millionaire today. “But I couldn’t do it,” he told CBS’ Gayle King. “I more than needed the money. [My wife’s] pregnant, we’re broke. We have 106 dollars. I thought, ‘There’s something holding me back.”
United Artists ultimately agreed to cast Stallone in Rocky, and Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff produced the film.

Rocky also won Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Editing, and Best Director, and spawned a multi-film franchise.

Regarding the shift to directing and writing, Wilson said, "It's just really fun. Directing is the next level, and it's been so, so much fun. Hard to juggle it, having a family now, because you've got the ultimate responsibility being a director, but it's just been a blast."
Devine likewise expressed enthusiasm over his voice acting roles, sharing, "I love it because you can just do a take and then do another take immediately. When you're acting, sometimes you're like, 'Man, I wish I could've changed or done an inflection here, done something a little different.' [With voice acting] you just go, you get to do three in a row and then you get to go, 'Hey, can I actually try that differently?' or 'I'm going to go on an improv rant right here,' and sometimes they're like, 'That's great; we're going to use all of that,' so I love doing voiceover work."
However, the friends are ready to come back together on the big screen, and they revealed that this ("allegedly") will be happening in a project that many have been waiting to see: Pitch Perfect 4.
"Pitch Perfect 4 is happening," Devine said. "It's definitely happening, allegedly...So, that's the legal term so if it doesn't happen, no one can sue us. You say, 'Allegedly.' So, allegedly, it's definitely happening, allegedly."
"Pitch Perfect 4 we've heard is definitely happening," Wilson added.
In the meantime, Wilson and Devine are already working together again on a new campaign with Planet Oat to settle a major coffee debate: Iced or hot? Wilson was repping iced coffee lovers, whereas Devine is a hot coffee fan.
Planet Oat
In conjunction with this new partnership, Planet Oat is hosting The Great Coffee Debate Pop-Up at NYC’s Astor Place on April 16, beginning at 8 a.m. At the pop-up, guests can customize their free preferred coffee temperature with Planet Oat’s Barista Lovers or original, vanilla or extra creamy varieties.
The campaign also includes The Great Coffee Debate Sweepstakes, which will run until April 27 and allow fans the opportunity to vote on hot or iced coffee for the chance to win two grand prizes.

46 Years Ago Today, Hollywood Legend Won His First Best Actor Award at the Oscars
It was 46 years ago today when Hollywood icon Dustin Hoffman reached a major milestone in his career, winning his very first Academy Award for Best Actor at the 52nd Academy Awards.
Hoffman’s powerful role in Kramer vs. Kramer not only earned him the prestigious honor but also helped define a new era of emotional storytelling in Hollywood.
The 1980 Oscars marked a huge night for the film, which went on to win five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for Robert Benton. But it was Hoffman’s deeply human performance as Ted Kramer that stood out, capturing the attention of both audiences and critics worldwide.

(Photo by Frank Edwards/Fotos International/Getty Images)Before this victory, Hoffman had already built a strong reputation as a talented actor known for playing complex and emotional characters. However, his role in Kramer vs. Kramer pushed his career to a whole new level.
In the film, Hoffman plays Ted Kramer, a busy advertising executive whose life changes overnight when his wife, played by Meryl Streep, leaves him and their young son. The story follows Ted as he learns how to be a caring father while dealing with the pain of divorce and a tough custody battle.
The film’s emotional story and realistic performances made it a huge success. It earned more than $173 million at the box office on a modest budget, becoming the highest-grossing film of 1979 in the United States and Canada. Critics praised the film for its honest look at family life, gender roles, and parenting.
Hoffman’s performance was widely celebrated. Critics highlighted how he showed both strength and vulnerability, making Ted Kramer feel like a real person. His portrayal helped bring attention to changing ideas about fatherhood during the late 1970s.
‘Kramer vs. Kramer’ Becomes an Oscar PowerhouseAt the 52nd Academy Awards, Kramer vs. Kramer led the nominations and wins. Alongside Hoffman’s Best Actor award, Meryl Streep won Best Supporting Actress for her role as Joanna Kramer.
The film also won Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Director, showing its strength in both storytelling and filmmaking. Its success did not stop there. It also performed well at other major award shows, including the Golden Globes, where it won Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Actor for Hoffman.
What made the film special was how it handled a sensitive topic like divorce. Instead of choosing sides, it showed both parents as real people with feelings and struggles. This balanced approach helped audiences connect with the story on a deeper level.
Famous film critic Roger Ebert praised the movie’s writing, saying, "His characters aren't just talking to each other, they're revealing things about themselves and can sometimes be seen in the act of learning about their own motives." His review showed why the film touched so many viewers.
Another critic, Vincent Canby of The New York Times, called it "a fine, witty, moving, most intelligent adaptation," while also praising Hoffman as "splendid in one of the two or three best roles of his career."
Hoffman also won a second Academy Award for his role in Rain Man (1988), further cementing his legacy as one of the greatest actors of his generation.Today, his performance in Kramer vs. Kramer is still remembered as one of the finest in film history.

Nancy Guthrie Update: Sheriff's Department Returns to Annie Guthrie, Tommaso Cioni's Neighborhood
Nancy Guthrie has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1, and authorities have recently increased their presence in both her neighborhood and the area where her daughter, Annie Guthrie, and son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni live. The added patrols come after a specific issue was raised by residents, offering new insight into activity surrounding the case, KVOA reports.
Per the station, the Pima County Sheriff's Department attended a recent homeowners association meeting in Guthrie's community where some neighbors voiced concerns about ongoing disruptions.
"Neighbors complained about a YouTuber harassing residents in the area. PCSD confirmed that they have also received similar complaints from Guthrie's daughter Annie in relation to her neighborhood. The department has increased patrols in both areas due to those complaints," KVOA reported on Monday, April 13.
While the majority of news stations have left the area, a handful of live streamers remain, many hoping to keep the case alive as Guthrie news has slowed in recent weeks. However, some neighbors have apparently had enough and would like their lives—and their neighborhoods—to go back to normal.
Nevertheless, Guthrie's whereabouts are unknown and authorities have yet to apprehend the person or persons responsible for her disappearance. Thousands of tips have been sent in to investigators and DNA samples are reportedly still being tested.
Anyone with information about the case is advised to contact the FBI (1-800-CALL-FBI). There is significant reward money being offered, and it currently sits at $1.2 million.

Kim Kardashian Faces Mom-Shaming Backlash for This Coachella Moment
Kim Kardashian brought her 12-year-old daughter, North West, to Coachella over the weekend, and fans had some pretty strong thoughts. Of course, the Kardashian clan is no stranger to controversy. And the most recent slam hasn’t seemed to rattle the family.
Who is Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West?North is the eldest of Kim’s children, born in June 2013. Kardashian shares the 12-year-old with ex-husband, Kanye West. Like the other Kardashians, North has grown up in the public eye and has a major presence on social media. While her most recent outing (to Coachella) may have grabbed fans’ attention and sparked a backlash, this isn’t exactly her first big event. The trendy tween who rocked blue hair at Coachella joined dad, Ye, on stage during an April 1 performance in Los Angeles.
As it turns out, North is a talented performer in her own right. She wowed fans at the SoFi Stadium concert, singing two new songs—’Talking’ and ‘Piercing on My Hand.’
Why did North West’s Coachella appearance cause a backlash?North’s weekend trip to Coachella made headlines. Like anything else the Kardashian-Jenners do, the tween was pretty much followed by a trail of cameras. Along with plenty of paparazzi-ish shots, she also took pics with a few famous faces, influencers, and reality stars. And here’s where the backlash started.
Celebs can fan-out too. And it looks like that’s exactly what North did when she got the opportunity to meet influencers and Love Island fan-favorite Olandria. People posted a video of Kardashian’s daughter giggling with absolute delight as she met the celeb. As the pair posed for pictures, it was clear that North couldn’t contain her glee.
While some fans thought the Coachella meetup with cute and absolutely adored the sweet squealing, others weren’t as sure. One commenter bashed Kardashian for allowing her daughter to attend the event, writing sarcastically, “12 yr old at Coachella…Excellent parenting.”
Other fans jumped in to defend Kim and North, with one commenting, “It’s a music festival. And Justin Bieberwas the main artist this weekend, who actually happens to be a friend of the family…it’s really not that scandalous,” while another said, “12 year olds can’t enjoy music?”
View this post on InstagramThe controversy didn’t end there. French influencer Matteo Sinet posted a clip of himself with North West, leaving fans to ask questions about her involvement with the 20-something model. One commenter wrote, “Who lets their 12 year old daughter out to a festival, let alone without her parents…She needs to be a 12 year old kid!” Another fan came to the rescue, pointing out, “When you are her parents you can choose if she goes or not.”
