Amy Duggar King Suggests the Duggar Family Is Buying Kendra's Silence Amid Joseph's Sex Scandal
As Joseph Duggar's sexual assault case continues to make headlines, his cousin Amy Duggar King is sharing a rather bold opinion about what she believes is happening to his wife Kendra Duggar behind closed doors.
In an Instagram video shared on Saturday, April 11, Amy laid out what she thinks the Duggar family is saying to Kendra, 27, in the wake of her 31-year-old husband’s arrest, framing it as her opinion. The picture she paints is one of financial incentives wrapped in religious pressure.
"Kendra, we love you so much. We're gonna band together as a family," Amy, 39, said, mimicking what she believes is being said. "You're showing your strength in God right now. By staying with him and just being a devoted wife and loving him, you are showing him God's love."
View this post on InstagramAmy went further, suggesting material gifts may be on the table to keep Kendra in line. "You know how Anna [Duggar] got a new house? Well, I was thinking maybe you should look on Realtor. Let's see if there's one for you. Also, have you looked at the new cars lately? There's some really great models," she continued, bringing up her other cousin Josh Duggar’s scandal for child pornography, which he is currently serving a 12 year sentence for.
Amy wrapped up her video with a strong message: "Real support doesn't require silence. And real support doesn't trap you in a system that protected the problem in the first place."

“ Oh my word you are on fire!!!,” one fan wrote in the comments alongside three clapping emojis.
Another wrote, “I hope ALL the girls hear this.”
“As someone who used to be in that cult, yes, this is exactly their playbook,” a third revealed.
Amy’s comments come as Joseph's legal situation remains serious. The 31-year-old was arrested on March 18 and charged with Lewd and Lascivious Behavior involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Two days later, he and Kendra were hit with separate child endangerment charges. Joseph posted a $600,000 bond following his first court appearance on March 31, with conditions including no contact with the alleged victim and no unsupervised contact with minors. His next court date is set for April 20.
In a jail call obtained by TMZ, Kendra told Joseph that despite the family's "disappointment," their support remains. "Just know everybody loves you, even if they're disappointed," she said.
Amy's final message to Kendra? "Real support doesn't require silence.”

Emmy-Winning Series That Defined an Era Can’t Stop Dividing It
Euphoria Season 3 is finally back.
Premiering tomorrow night after a four-year hiatus, Sam Levinson's culture-shaping series has already made the early screening rounds, and the reviews are in. If we're reading the tea leaves right, the HBO phenomenon may be cementing itself as one of the most debated prestige dramas of the streaming era.
View this post on InstagramFrom Variety and The Hollywood Reporter to The Daily Beast and Time, the reviews are as scattered as a Gen Z group chat at 2 a.m. You have some saying the Emmy-winning series is “better than ever” and Zendaya is "dazzling," with others questioning its relevance and hurling low-blow descriptors like “gross,” “unhinged,” and “disaster.”
Euphoria fans have been waiting breathlessly for the show to return, following delays from WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. The series, whose debut in 2019 became a generation-defining cultural force, with its narrative about a group of toxic teenagers navigating love, addition, and identity in a haze of neon-lit chaos, was considered must-see TV. And even though its third season isn’t hitting widely with critics, all the elements that made it the second most-watched show on HBO are still here.
Related: ‘Euphoria’: Zendaya Reveals If Season 3 Will Be the Last of the HBO Show
“The frenetic pace, the rat-a-tat editing, the deadpan voiceovers, the pitch-black humor, the masterful acting, the eye-popping visuals … everything you loved about Euphoria is still intact,” Vogue writes.
There is, however, a massive difference between this season and the previous two: Our high schoolers are all grown up and loose in the wild. Zendaya’s Rue is running drugs across the border, Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie is a bored soon-to-be housewife on OnlyFans, Alexa Demie’s Maddie is engaged to Jacob Elordi’s Nate, Hunter Schafer’s Jules is now a sugar baby, and Maude Apatow’s Lexi is girlbossing in Hollywod alongside a prolific showrunner played by the one and only Sharon Stone.
Their worlds are bigger, and their storylines are bleeding out across the seedy underbelly of the West Coast. It's either the perfect recipe for the chaos, collapse, and escalation we live for with Euphoria, or a forumula for complete and total implosion. Either way, we're tuning in.
Euphoria Season 3 premieres Sunday, April 12, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max.

Prince Harry Sued by Charity He Co-Founded to Honor Princess Diana
Prince Harry is being sued for defamation by Sentebale, the charity he co-founded in honor of his mother, Princess Diana.
Sentebale’s Board of Trustees and Executive Director confirmed they had "commenced legal proceedings" against Prince Harry, 41, and a former trustee of the charity, Mark Dyer, in a statement on April 10.
"The charity seeks the court’s intervention, protection, and restitution following a coordinated adverse media campaign conducted since 25 March 2025 that has caused operational disruption and reputational harm to the charity, its leadership, and its strategic partners," read the statement from Sentebale. "The proceedings have been brought against Prince Harry and Mark Dyer, identified through evidence as the architects of that adverse media campaign, which has had significant viral impact and triggered an onslaught of cyber-bullying directed at the charity and its leadership."
Court records showed the case was filed in the London High Court on March 24, Reuters reported. The charge is listed as "defamation - libel and slander."

A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex said he and Dyer deny any wrongdoing and "categorically reject these offensive and damaging claims."
"It is extraordinary that charitable funds are now being used to pursue legal action against the very people who built and supported the organisation for nearly two decades, rather than being directed to the communities the charity was created to serve," the spokesperson said in a statement, per Reuters.
Harry, the youngest son of King Charles, founded Sentebale in 2006, nine years after Diana was killed in a car crash in Paris at age 36, with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho. The organization’s name means "forget-me-not" in the local language of Lesotho in Southern Africa and helps young people with HIV and AIDS in Lesotho and Botswana. Diana famously used her platform to spread awareness and stop misinformation about the disease.

Harry served as a patron within the organization until he resigned in March 2025, along with Prince Seeiso and several trustees, after a public dispute with Sentebale’s chair of the board, Sophie Chandauka. The rift centered around disagreements about fundraising strategies.
At the time of their relationship fizzling, Chandauka reported the Duke of Sussex and the trustees to Britain's charity regulator over alleged bullying and harassment. Harry called the situation "heartbreaking" at the time, claiming "blatant lies hurt those who have invested decades" in supporting the children in Southern Africa.
The U.K. Charity Commission reported in August 2025 that it had found no evidence of bullying or “overreach,” per the Charity Commission’s website, but noted “all the charity’s then trustees contributed” to the dispute due to a lack of defined roles.
In response to the report, Chandauka said, “I appreciate the Charity Commission for its conclusions, which confirm the governance concerns I raised privately in February 2025. The experience was intense, and it became a test of our strategic clarity and operational resilience."

Prince Harry released his own statement at the time, acknowledging there were “no findings of wrongdoing” and “no evidence of widespread bullying, harassment, or misogyny,” but he claimed there were shortcomings in the investigation.
"Despite all that, their report falls troublingly short in many regards, primarily the fact that the consequences of the current Chair’s actions will not be borne by her, but by the children who rely on Sentebale’s support," a spokesperson for the British royal said at the time. "Sentebale has been a deeply personal and transformative mission for Prince Harry, established to serve some of the most vulnerable children in Lesotho and Botswana. For 19 years, its dedicated staff and steadfast supporters have provided vital care to over 100,000 young people across southern Africa, including young people living with HIV/AIDS and those facing mental health challenges. As custodians of this once brilliant charity, Prince Seeiso, Prince Harry and the former Board of Trustees helped grow Sentebale from the seed of an idea to — like its namesake — a flowering force for good.”
1972 Hit Film Was Just Ranked 'the Greatest Movie' of the Last 90 Years
Since its release in 1972, Francis Ford Coppola's masterpiece The Godfatherhas been showered with acclaim and accolades. In April 2026, Collider continued the tradition of complimenting the Academy Award-winning crime drama by ranking it as the greatest movie made since 1936.
The list also featured beloved films like David Lynch's 2001 movie, Mulholland Drive, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind from 2004, 1941's Citizen Kane, The Thing from 1982, and 12 Angry Men from 1957. Collider reported, however, that the first film from the Godfather trilogy took home the list's number one spot because of its long-lasting popularity, incredible cast, and cynical view of success and wealth.
The Cast of 'The Godfather' Discussed the Film's Lasting Popularity in 2017In celebration of The Godfather's 45th anniversary, members of the cast, includingAl Pacino, Robert Duvall, and James Caan, came together to share insight about the film in a 2017 interview with TODAY. Pacino, who played Michael Corleone, said filming The Godfather didn't seem "that long" ago because it's always been culturally relevant.
"Because it's somewhat in the conscious life. It's referred to a lot. It's so sort of everpresent," said Pacino, now 85, during the TODAY interview.
Caan, who played Pacino's on-screen brother, Santino "Sonny" Corleone, also shared that he wasn't surprised that the film has remained so beloved. In addition, Caan credited Coppola's ability to hire the perfect cast and crew as to why the movie still holds up.
"The truth of the matter is, and this may never happen again, and it's all really due to Francis. I mean, Francis put together a cast the likes of which I've never been had the pleasure again of working. I mean, he put together a crew that all became the top of their, you know, before they were known, whether it be [cinematographer] Gordy Willis, [editor] Walter Murch, etc.," said Cann, who died in 2022 at the age of 82.
Bravo Reveals 'Real Housewives of Potomac' Season 11 Cast and the 'Grande Dame' Is Officially Back After Serving Time
The "Grande Dame" is officially back.
Bravo confirmed the cast for The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 11 on April 10, and the biggest headline is the full-time return of Karen Huger following her time behind bars for a DUI conviction.
Huger, 62, was sentenced to two years in prison with one year suspended after being found guilty of DUI charges connected to a solo crash in Potomac, Maryland in March 2024. She was released from the Montgomery County Detention Center on Sept. 2, 2025 and was notably absent from Season 10 of the series.
Her return was teased when she appeared in a mid-season trailer sitting down for a post-prison interview with Andy Cohen, but now it's confirmed: the "Grande Dame" is a full-time Housewife once again.
Robyn Dixon Returns as a 'Friend'Huger isn't the only OG making a comeback. Robyn Dixon, who has been part of the franchise since Season 1, is returning as a "Friend of the Housewives" after sitting out Season 10.
The rest of the Season 11 cast includes returning Housewives Gizelle Bryant, Wendy Osefo, Ashley Darby, Tia Glover and Stacey Rusch. On the way out are Angel Massie, Keiarna Stewart and Jassi Harris, who will not be returning for the new season.
View this post on Instagram What to Expect From Huger's ReturnFans have been eager to see how Huger addresses her legal troubles on camera. During her DUI sentencing, prosecutors labeled her a repeat offender, citing three previous alcohol-related traffic cases between 2006 and 2011. She was also ordered to pay $2,900 in fines, complete five years of probation and could not drive for one year.
In court, Huger acknowledged responsibility and expressed gratitude that no one was harmed in the crash. Her sit-down with Cohen during the Season 10 reunion gave viewers a first look at how she's processing the experience, but Season 11 will be the first time audiences see her navigate daily life after prison while cameras are rolling.
No premiere date has been announced for Season 11, but filming is expected to be underway soon.
Derek Hough's Wife Hayley Erbert Gets Candid About Celebrating Her Daughter While 'Quietly Grieving'
It's been just a few short months since Dancing With the Stars judge Derek Hough and his wife, Hayley Erbert, welcomed their first child, Everley Capri Hough. Since that day, the pair have been reveling in parenthood, doting on their tiny daughter and sharing adorable photos and videos. But even when Everley was just two weeks old, they marveled at how much she was "changing every day."
On April 10, Erbert posted a carousel of Instagram photos from the little family's first Easter together. Everley lies on her back on a picnic blanket, while Erbert is pictured lovingly kissing her daughter and smiling at the photographer, presumably Hough. The professional dancer also posted a caption that expanded on the feelings they first mentioned months before.
View this post on Instagram"Motherhood is even more complex and contradicting than I could have ever imagined," she wrote. "It feels like living in two places at once. Where joy and heartache can both be true, all of the time. My heart is constantly bursting open, while also breaking into a million pieces."
"I find myself celebrating every little bit of your growth, while quietly grieving the version of you that existed just moments before," she continued.
Erbert recognized the "beautiful contradiction" that she felt, feeling excited to watch Everley grow while also wanting to stop time. "This pull between holding on and letting go, between wanting time to slow down and knowing it never will."
She finished her post by promising to keep "soaking in every little detail, every version of you, every fleeting moment we have together."
Erbert is definitely soaking in all the warm-and-fuzzy feelings that come with becoming a parent. However, she's also proven that her dancing prowess and self-care needs are stronger than ever. Hough posted a video showing him and Erbert working out in Alo shock suits. "Wifey has me trying some new things," he wrote.
Erbert also turned up at one of the Savannah Banana games to dance, blowing everyone away with her strength and flexibility so soon after giving birth.
"The fact that [Hayley Erbert] just had a baby and can already move like this is insane!!!" Commented one impressed fan. "A woman's body is capable of incredible things!!!"

Meagan Good Divides Fans After Revealing Controversial Reason She Rehomed Her Cat
For many pet owners, the idea of giving up a pet is unthinkable. For some, their fur babies are like their children, and for others, they have become part of the family. For this reason, aside from situations where a cat or dog becomes threatening, there are many emotional reactions to news that someone has gotten rid of or rehomed their pet. Therefore, it's not surprising that Shazam! actress Meagan Good was met with some strong feelings from fans after revealing the reason she rehomed her cat.
Good sat down with Jonica Booth on the Picture This podcast, and was asked about something she thought she couldn't live without, before realizing she could.
"My cat," she replied hesitantly. "Cause I had to get rid of my little cat. His name is Bam Bam."
"The pups came with Jonathan [Majors]," she continued, referring to her husband. "So there was two pups, and then we got a third one. And by the third one, Bam Bam was real upset, and Bam Bam started using the bathroom in the bed."
She admitted that she struggled with the decision and really didn't want to lose him. But the third puppy "pushed him off the edge."
"So you chose the puppy over Bam Bam," Booth stated.
"I chose the man," Good responded. Several fans expressed their disappointment at her choice in the comments.
"Giving up your cat for a man is wild...... and messed up," commented one YouTuber.
"Weird how you abandoned your long cat for a dog," another wrote. "That’s not human at all. Which I don’t know what’s worse than having that “man”. Disgusting."
However, Good also had her defenders, who chimed in.
"It’s a cat not a child," one of her fans responded. "And it was HER CAT NOT YOUR CAT. she do whatever she wants with it. And that man is her husband. Social media made yall feel like yall can tell celebrities what they can and can’t do with their personal life. I’m so glad Meagan doesn’t listen to yall crazy self. Yall need a life outside of social media."
One of Good's fan pages previously shared an Instagram Reel of the actress showing off Bam Bam, a Munchkin and Sphynx mix, when he was a three-and-a-half-month-old kitten. He could also be seen playfully running around Good's apartment in several 2023 Instagram videos.
Since adding the third puppy that resulted in the relocation of Bam Bam, Good and Majors have added to their pack. In March 2025, the former Marvel actor confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the couple now owns four Malinois dogs.

1982 Hit Became a Rock Anthem—But Its Origin Is ‘Truly Terrifying’
While most Bruce Springsteen fans wouldn't consider his music to be scary, one of his tracks recently took home the title of a "truly terrifying" song.
In October 2025, Rolling Stone magazine released a list of "25 songs that are truly terrifying." The list included spooky songs like Leonard Cohen's “Avalanche” from 1971, The Doors' 1967 hit, "The End," “Careful With That Axe, Eugene” byPink Floyd, “I Love the Dead” by Alice Cooper, "Day of the Lords" by Joy Division from 1979, Slayer's "Dead Skin Mask," and Sufjan Stevens' 2005 classic, “John Wayne Gacy, Jr.”
Springsteen's 1982 song, "Nebraska," off the album of the same name, was also featured on Rolling Stone's ranking. According to the publication, "Nebraska" made it on the list because it's based on 1950s murderer Charles "Charlie" Starkweather.
Bruce Springsteen Explained How He Came Up With 'Nebraska'Springsteen opened up about writing the song in the persona of Starkweather during a 2005 episode of VH1 Storytellers. He noted that the 1982 song is an example of his "narrative songwriting." He also noted that the stark, dark lyrics juxtapose the light, almost childlike quality to the music.
"It's spooky because I'm singing in the voice of the dead. The music is pretty childlike and mystical," said Springsteen while on stage before an audience.
In addition, he said that he was influenced by the 1955 thriller, TheNight of the Hunter, while writing "Nebraska."
"I don't know if you're familiar with the Robert Mitchum film Night of the Hunter, which is kind of this horror story told from a child's perspective. And I was interested in an oral projection of that idea," said the "Born in the U.S.A." singer.
He also said he has to have something in common with the characters in his songs, "no matter who they are or what they did."
"So 'Nebraska' is a song written with the premise that everyone knows what it's like to be condemned. Which they do, of course," said the musician, now 76.
From Carpools to Coachella: Celebrity Moms Let Loose in the Desert
Celeb moms are just like us. They drive carpools (or at least arrange them), change diapers, jog with strollers, tote their tots around, and… spend one annual April weekend hanging with the glitterati, enjoying music from some of the most popular performers? Okay, so maybe ther aren’t completely like us. But famous parents need a girls’ weekend every so often. And right now, the stars are enjoying Coachella!
So, what celebrity parents have fans spotted at the music festival? Some of the most famous moms to make an appearance include:

View this post on InstagramThe Brazilian Way To Make Coffee 10x Better
Coffee drinkers in the United States are often chasing the best flavor through expensive beans, high-end grinders or elaborate brewing setups. In Brazil, the secret to a better cup is much simpler and has nothing to do with specialty equipment. Instead, it comes down to a technique that transforms the coffee's flavor from the very first sip.
That method is called cafezinho, which translates to "little coffee," but culturally means much more than just a tiny cup of Joe. In Brazil, cafezinho is part of everyday life, often offered to guests as a gesture of hospitality and connection rather than just a caffeine boost.
Unlike typical American coffee habits, cafezinho is traditionally brewed with sugar added during the brewing process rather than stirred in afterward. That small change allows the sugar to integrate into the coffee as it brews, creating a smoother and slightly caramelized flavor profile.
Curious about whether the world's largest coffee-producing country's favorite brewing method is one we're missing out on, I decided to try making cafezinho at home. What I found was a method that feels less like a complicated coffee hack and more like a practical way to make a better cup with tools most people already have in their kitchen.

Brazil's cafezinho is known for being small, strong and sweet. It's typically served in espresso-style cups and consumed throughout the day rather than just in the morning.
The biggest difference between cafezinho and standard drip coffee is how it's brewed. Instead of adding sugar after brewing, the sugar is added directly to the water before or during the brewing process. This allows the sweetness to become part of the extraction rather than just sitting on top of the flavor. The result is a cup that many describe as robust, sweet and flavorful, that's surprisingly balanced despite its strength.
Cafezinho also carries cultural significance. In Brazil, offering someone coffee is often seen as a sign of welcome and conversation, making it as much a social ritual as a beverage.

Ingredients Needed for CafezinhoJim Hoffman
One of the most appealing things about making cafezinho is that it requires only a few simple ingredients. To try it myself, I used finely ground coffee, water and sugar, along with a small saucepan and a reusable metal coffee filter.
Traditional versions typically used a cloth filter, but many home cooks use paper filters or a mesh strainer. Recipes online vary, but for my test, I found that about one cup of water, two teaspoons of sugar and one heaping tablespoon of coffee made a strong yet well-balanced cup. The beauty of the method is its flexibility, allowing you to adjust the ratios to suit how sweet or strong you prefer your coffee.
Cafezinho is often stronger than standard American coffee, which helps it retain flavor despite its sweetness.

How To Make CafezinhoJim Hoffman
To make my cafezinho, I started by heating water and sugar together in a small saucepan until the mixture began to simmer. When it just reached a boil, and the sugar had completely dissolved, I removed the pan from the burner.

Next, I stirred in the coffee grounds and covered the pot with a lid. The coffee brews as it steeps in the covered pot for about five minutes.

Placing a reusable coffee filter into a cup, I carefully strained the coffee to remove the grounds, making sure to allow all the liquid to drain out.

Finally, I poured the finished coffee into small cups to serve.

What I Noticed After Trying CafezinhoWhat surprised me most was how quickly the process came together. In just a few minutes, I had a cup that tasted noticeably smoother and slightly richer than my usual drip coffee, even though I used the same beans I normally do.
The biggest difference was how integrated the sweetness felt. Instead of tasting like sugar had been added to mask the bitterness, the flavor felt integrated into the coffee itself. There was no bitterness at all, and the boldness of the espresso grind I used came through clearly, creating a deep, rich, delicious cup of coffee.
Creative Twists To Make Brazilian-Style Coffee Your OwnJim Hoffman
Like many traditional recipes, cafezinho varies from household to household.
Some adjustments you can try:
- Adjust sugar levels
- Use brown or raw sugar instead of white
- Add cinnamon
- Add milk or cream after brewing
- Pair it with warm pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread)
- Pair it with rich dark chocolate
Online discussions about cafezinho also show how flexible the method can be. One coffee drinker on Reddit described it as a cultural staple served in small cups and often brewed in batches to share throughout the day.
That flexibility is part of what makes cafezinho approachable. You don't need special equipment or hard-to-find ingredients. Just a slightly different brewing approach.
After trying it myself, the biggest takeaway wasn't that this would replace my everyday morning coffee routine. Instead, it feels like an easy way to add something special when entertaining or when you just want a small, sweet cup that feels warm and extra satisfying.
Sometimes improving your coffee experience doesn't mean buying better gear. Sometimes it just means learning from another culture's traditions.

1983 Smash Hit Ranked Among ‘Best Dance Movies of All Time’
On this day in 1983, one of the best movie soundtracks dropped, signaling the release of one of the best dance films of all time.
Four days later, the world met Alex Owens, played by the magnificent Jennifer Beals, a Yale student at the time who told The Guardian in 2022 that she deferred her schooling for the role because she was in pursuit of pure joy.
View this post on Instagram“I didn’t even feel like I wanted control or impact,” she said, “I wanted joy, full stop. It was completely pleasure principle: ‘This is fun. I enjoy this. And I can feel myself expanding -- it’s really exciting and totally terrifying.’”
The film, directed by English creative force Adrian Lyne (Unfaithful, Fatal Attraction), follows Beals' 18-year-old dreamer whose days are spent in a steel mill and nights spent tearing up the dance floor, trying to prove that dreams can pirouette their way out of a hard hat and into the spotlight.
The film reached No. 1 at the box office in its second weekend of release and stayed at the top for three weeks, per Box Office Mojo. Making more than $92 million on a $7.5 million budget, it was certainly a huge success with fans. Critics, however, were a bit harsh, calling the film flat in narrative but dynamic in its dance sequences and Beals’ performance.
The soundtrack is a story all its own. An absolute hit, the record, produced by Giorgio Moroder, is widely considered one of the best and most influential albums of all time, selling 20 million copies worldwide and winning multiple awards, including an Oscar for Best Original Song for “Flashdance … What a Feeling.” The film was nominated for three others.
According to Billboard, the soundtrack spent 25 weeks on the Billboard 200, spending two weeks at No. 1 and bumping Michael Jackson’s lengthy Thriller run from the top spot. The soundtrack’s title single by Irena Cara spent six weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and scored Cara a Grammy. “Maniac,” by Michael Sembello, also hit No. 1 on the Hot 100, enjoying 22 weeks on the chart and two at the top spot in September 1983.
The ultimate ’80s underdog tale, the film captured the zeitgeist of the time beyond just its song and dance, with sweatshirt sales soaring after the film’s release, per People, and leg warmers and ripped rehearsal gear launching into mainstream fashion as symbols of ambition and self-invention. Flashdance was an era-defining film and one that definitely deserves a revisit.
Flashdance is streaming on Prime Video.

1973 Rock Classic Was Just Ranked the Best Album of the '70s
The 1970s are known for the strides made in music. Even though there are so many incredible albums that were released during the decade, Collidermanaged to narrow down the top 10 best albums from the '70s.
The list, published on April 10, featured beloved records like Nick Drake's Pink Moon from 1972, Blondie's Parallel Lines, released in 1978,Joni Mitchell's 1978 masterpiece Blue, Led Zeppelin's Led Zeppelin IV, from 1971, and Stevie Wonder's 1976 album, Songs in the Key of Life.
Collider named Pink Floyd's 1973 acclaimed and influential album, The Dark Side of the Moon, as the top '70s record. The publication reported that The Dark Side of the Moon secured the number one ranking because of its deep, dark themes relating to mental health.
Roger Waters Explained Why He Believed the 1973 Pink Floyd Record Remained So Beloved in 1993During a 1993 interview, Pink Floyd's former lead singer, Roger Waters, explained why he believed The Dark Side of the Moon remained relevant since its release.
"I think there are a number of factors. One is that it it very quickly became an album that people wanted in their collections and successive generations have discovered it," said Waters during the interview. "It has a universal appeal in that the album is about the potential that all human beings have for making something positive out of their lives, if they so choose."
He then explained that he believed the band's eighth studio album is "a record of hope." The singer, now 82, said that the record represents trying to find happiness amid darkness and doubts.
"We're born and we're all subject to the pressures that our particular bit of history throws at us. in our case is the main pressure that's brought upon us, in my view, is a kind of free market gone crazy," said Waters in the 1993 interview. "And if we can make some sense of that then, we certainly in the West, have the potential to lead, I don't know what we could call happy lives and to contribute something to the world. But it seems that often overtaken by dark forces and we don't achieve our full potential. And that's kind of what the record's about."
1972 Hit Ranked Among 'Greatest Songs of All Time' Became a Summer Rock Anthem
Few songs have captured the rebellious thrill of summer like a specific 1972 hit by Alice Cooper. Bursting onto the scene with hard-rock energy and an unforgettable chorus, it's still hailed as one of the “greatest songs of all time," and a timeless rock classic that continues to define the season.
Part of Rolling Stone's extensive list of the greatest songs ever released includes "School's Out," which was the title track for Alice Cooper's fifth studio album. Released in late April 1976, it became known as their signature song, reaching No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The hard rock hit is iconic thanks to its catchy beat, title, and overall chorus that includes a group of children.
"Alice Cooper’s summer 1972 hit was a precursor of both punk rock and Jock Jams, adding a kiddie chorus for a perverse, Children of the Corn effect. And the riff is so much a part of rock history that after guitarist Glen Buxton died in 1997, his friends and fans created a headstone with the musical notation of his four-bar “School’s Out” riff," said Rolling Stone.
The rock icon once detailed having come up with the song's lyrics when asking the question: "What's the greatest three minutes of your life?" The response instantly hit a sense of nostalgia with the answers being Christmas morning as a child, and the feeling of waiting for the final school bell to ring, signaling the start of summer vacation.
In an interview with People, Cooper explained, "At the same time, everybody hated school. We thought, if you can capture the last three minutes of the last day of school before summer vacation, that would be a joyous song."

"School's Out" became their first major hit single and propelled the album to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 pop album charts. Despite its popularity, some radio stations banned playing the song, believing it promoted rebellion against school education among children. Its lyrics even refer to the school being blown up and being gone for good, and the children's lines include "and we got no innocence."
Regardless, the track became a rock staple that brought up the right feelings of the freedom of summer vacation. "School's Out" has since been used in pop culture, like the 1979 comedy film Rock 'n' Roll High School, 1993's Dazed and Confused, and the horror cult classic Scream. Singer John Lydon was also reported to have auditioned for Sex Pistols, belting out the track in a London pub.
Kelly Ripa's Youngest Son Just Made His Broadway Debut in a Legendary Arthur Miller Play and His Dad's Reaction Says It All
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos had quite the family night out on Wednesday, but this time it wasn't for a red carpet or a Live taping.
The couple was in the audience at the Winter Garden Theatre to watch their youngest son Joaquin Consuelos make his official Broadway debut in the revival of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman.
Joaquin, 23, plays young Biff in the critically acclaimed production, which also stars Nathan Lane as Willy Loman and Laurie Metcalf as Linda Loman. And if you're wondering how his parents handled the moment, well, one of them didn't exactly keep it together.
Mark Consuelos Couldn't Wait or Stop CryingHere's the thing: Joaquin specifically told his mom to "wait 'til opening night" to see the show, and Ripa respected his wishes. She even left town during preview performances to resist the temptation.
Consuelos? Not so much. He grabbed a last-minute ticket to a preview showing and was overwhelmed by what he saw.
"I was watching him with a smile on my face and cried," Consuelos recalled. A woman sitting nearby even turned to him and said, "Mazel tov, your son was amazing!"
A Proud Family Moment After a Tough YearThe opening night celebration comes during what has been an emotional stretch for the Consuelos family. Mark's father Saul Consuelos passed away in late March, making this milestone even more meaningful.
After the show, the family celebrated at the cast after-party at Katz's Delicatessen, with both Kelly and Mark sporting matching black attire for the occasion. Ripa shared "opening night vibes" on her Instagram Stories alongside a photo of the playbill, while Consuelos posted a heartwarming shot of himself and Joaquin in matching black blazers.
What's Next for JoaquinThe youngest of the couple's three children (older siblings Michael is 28 and Lola is 24), Joaquin is a graduate of the University of Michigan's School of Music, Theatre & Dance. He previously appeared in Hulu's Foster Dade pilot.
The Death of a Salesman revival, directed by Joe Mantello and also starring Christopher Abbott as Biff and Ben Ahlers as Happy, has been extended through Aug. 9 and earned an 83 percent average critical rating including a New York Times Critic's Pick.
Why a 2002 Sci-Fi Show Just Beat 'Schitt's Creek' and 'Parks and Rec' to Hit No. 1 on Apple TV
A show Fox canceled after 14 episodes is currently outperforming series with active fan bases, ongoing merchandise, and far more recent air dates. And there's a specific reason it's happening right now.
As of April 8, Firefly sat at No. 1 on the Apple TV Store's Top 10 TV shows in the United States, per FlixPatrol, ranking above The Chosen, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, Parks and Recreation, Frasier, Schitt's Creek, and Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, among others. Some of those titles have devoted followings of their own. None of them aired in 2002.
The climb didn't start with the No. 1 ranking. In early March, before any official announcement, Firefly had already reentered Amazon's digital streaming charts at No. 18 on their Top 25 TV Shows in the United States and sat at No. 15 on the Apple TV store simultaneously, all while remaining available to Hulu subscribers at no extra cost. People were paying to watch something they could watch for free.
By mid-March, renewed demand had pushed it to No. 3 on Amazon Prime Video and No. 7 on the Apple TV store, while also landing within the top 10 in international markets including the UK and Germany. FlixPatrol data shows it competing directly against recent hits and several Taylor Sheridan shows on Apple TV's PVOD service, the kind of company a 24-year-old single-season series rarely keeps.
The catalyst for all of it was Nathan Fillion's announcement at Awesome Con in Washington, D.C. that an animated Firefly reboot is in early development at 20th Television Animation, produced through his banner Collision33. Married showrunners Tara Butters (Agent Carter, Dollhouse) and Marc Guggenheim (Arrow, The Flash) are attached, a script is already completed, and Oscar- and Emmy-winning animation studio ShadowMachine is handling the visuals.
The series would be set in the timeline between the original 2002 run and the 2005 film Serenity, with the full original cast expected to voice their characters. As Alan Tudyk explained at the panel,'Because of our schedules and availability the only way to get it done is if we animated it.'
The project still needs a network or streaming home. The cast has openly asked fans to like, comment, and repost news of the announcement, requesting 'quantifiable analytics' to present to potential buyers. Fillion has encouraged fans to pitch in as the proposed animated series still needs to find a home. There’s a rapidly growing grassroots fan push to organize a variety of ways to help.
What's already on the scoreboard is a 24-year-old show beating Schitt's Creek and Parks and Rec in the same week, and that makes a fairly shiny opening argument.
Firefly is currently streaming on Hulu.
