Talk show legend Ricki Lake is wishing her lookalike son a happy birthday.

Lake, 57, rose to fame at just 20 years old in the role of Tracy Turnblad in the 1988 film Hairspray. However, it was her beloved ’90s daytime talk show, Ricki Lake, that made her a household name. Trust me, when I tell you, I still felt extra cute and loved myself regardless, especially after working so hard to get in the best shape of my life.”

Looking back on the decision to go under the knife, Lake called it “one of the best decisions I ever made for myself.”

She’s only 23, but celeb Olivia Rodrigo just made a pretty strong statement on marriage and having babies. The “Drivers License” singer recently talked to British Vogue about life, love, and her views on marriage.

Rodrigo’s younger years weren’t exactly what most of us experienced. Instead of going to prom and hanging with friends at the mall, the homeschooled songwriter was hard at work, starring in Disney Channel hits like High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and Blizaardvark. For a traveler on a recent Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), that question became all too real. In a viral TikTok video, he recounts waking up mid‑air to alarmingly loud noise, flickering lights, dead screens, and a long descent where no one seemed to know exactly what was happening.

A Routine Delta Flight Turns Terrifying

What began as just another cross‑country hop for 131 passengers quickly veered into the unexpected. In the viral TikTok video, the passenger described waking up to a loud humming sound “like riding in a tractor”, a noise that, to him, felt more mechanical than melodic. There was, initially, no official explanation from the crew, and flight attendants weren’t immediately communicating details to nervous flyers.

Eventually, passengers were told by flight attendants that they did not know what that noise was and were planning an expedited descent into DFW. However, they were still about 60–90 minutes from Dallas. The TikTok creator later shared that he even began texting loved ones, including starting to draft a last will and testament, because his messages seemed to actually go through. The creator shared in a comment that they were granted priority landing at DFW.

The panic in the cabin escalated when flight attendants began speaking with the passengers seated in exit rows mid‑flight. The TikTok creator said “I don’t wanna see them talking to the people in the exit row mid flight unless it’s to pass out Biscoffs and ginger ale.”

Delta later confirmed that a temporary electrical disruption did occur, that the crew followed established safety procedures, and that the aircraft landed safe and under control. After the flight touched down safely at DFW, the airline reportedly sent passengers an apology email acknowledging the disruption, a gesture some passengers found perfunctory given the emotional experience onboard. In its public remarks, Delta emphasized passenger safety as its top priority and said the aircraft would undergo a full technical review.

Since the TikTok video went viral, online reactions have ranged widely, reflecting the emotions many people feel during aviation scares. Forty-two years after Jack Sawyer first crossed into the Territories, Stephen King is bringing him back one last time. Other Worlds Than These, the third and final book in the Talisman trilogy, will be published October 6, 2026, by Scribner, King officially announced on his web site. It's available for pre-order now in hardcover, audiobook, and e-book formats, and runs 624 pages.

The book caps a series that King began with Peter Straub in 1984's The Talisman, in which a 12-year-old Jack Sawyer travels a parallel America called the Territories to save his dying mother. The two reunited for Black House in 2001, which found an adult Jack as an LAPD detective hunting a serial killer in Wisconsin. A third book was discussed almost immediately after Black House came out, but scheduling conflicts and health issues kept pushing it back. Then Straub died in 2022, and it looked like the trilogy might never close.

King kept going anyway. Straub had sent him a letter before he died with ideas for the final book, and King built from there. He confirmed on Threads in January 2025 that he was actively writing it. By July 2025, he posted that the manuscript was nearly done. The title, cover, and release date were revealed February 7, 2026. Straub receives co-author credit on the finished book.

In Other Worlds Than These, an older Jack faces what the publisher describes as a nearly impossible task: stopping a wave of violent, infected teenagers on the American side while simultaneously confronting a force called the Gullet at the edge of Mid-World, the same Mid-World that anchors King's Dark Tower saga. King's quote on the book makes the connection explicit: 'I wanted to go back to Mid-World, which was always the Territories by another name.'

That blending into the Dark Tower mythology is a significant pull for longtime King readers. The Territories and Mid-World have always existed in the same fictional universe, but Other Worlds Than These formally brings Jack Sawyer into Roland Deschain's cosmology. Jack's Ka-tet (the Dark Tower term for a group bound together by fate) is aging and strained, and the stakes extend beyond any single world.

The book is also designed to work as a standalone. The publisher's description specifically pitches it to readers who haven't touched The Talisman or Black House, and the 30 black-and-white illustrations by artist Gabriel Rodriguez throughout the text give it a distinct visual identity.

Do you like flying economy with United Airlines? Then you're going to be very interested in the new plane layouts the airline just announced. That's because the airline says that it will be cutting back on some of those seats in favor of more premium cabin capacity.

Some travelers may find themselves having to spring for pricier seats as a result, since there will be fewer of the lower priced tickets available. United Airlines Announces Design Changes

On Mar. 24, United Airlines shared an update about plans to reconfigure its fleet. According to CNBC, the airline will be cutting the number of coach and economy seats in favor of more premium seats to help keep up with demand.

That means that passengers hoping to snag cheaper airfare by flying in the more affordable seats may find themselves out of luck if they don't book quickly, since there will be fewer seats to choose from. According to the publication, that could feasibly add up to thousands of dollars for those who have to opt for the more expensive option.

The decision comes at a time when airlines everywhere say that they are experiencing more demand for premium seats as travelers choose to splurge on more luxe seating. "The main cabin is also improving, and we’ve seen very strong demand across the board for United in Q1, but premium did lead the way yet again in the quarter, and continues to do so," United's chief commercial officer Andrew Nocella told reporters.

United Will Add New Planes to its Fleet

While the airline will be updating some of its existing planes, it also plans to replace a few of its dated Boeing 757s with Airbus A321XLRs, which are used for longer-range travel. Those planes are expected to be ready for travel this summer, and heading to places like:

• Spain
• France
• Portugal
• Brazil

United will also be introducing a few Airbus A321ne jets for its transcontinental flights. These planes go by the nickname of "Coastliners" and they will have 20 Polaris seats that can be folded down into beds for travelers looking to arrive to their destinations feeling well-rested and refreshed. These planes are also expected to begin rolling out over the summer, with United predicting that they will have around 40 of them by the time 2028 arrives.

I can absolutely see the appeal of adding more premium seats, especially for those long-haul flights that have you spending hours in the air, I just hope it doesn't make it harder for people who don't have a lot of money to fly. With rising fuel costs already showing up in the price of plane tickets, adding more expenses to travel could prohibit a lot of people from getting a chance to fly the friendly skies this year.

The Married at First Sight family has lost one of their own. As Parade reported, dating coach Mel Schilling has died at age 54.

News of her death comes about two weeks after Schilling revealed that she was battling terminal cancer. Schilling's cause of death is from terminal colon cancer, over two years after she was first diagnosed with the disease.

“Melanie Jane Brisbane-Schilling passed away peacefully today, surrounded by love,” her husband, Gareth Brisbane, of 15 years, shared in an Instagram post.

Brisbane went on to share a lengthy tribute to his wife on behalf of himself and their daughter Maddie.

“In her final moments, when I thought cancer had taken away her ability to speak, she ushered me closer and whispered a message for Maddie and me that will sustain me for the rest of my life. It took all of her remaining strength, and that gesture summed up our wee Melsie perfectly. Even then, her only thought was for Maddie and me,” Brisbane expressed as part of his post, which also included several family photos.

Earlier in March, Schilling revealed on social media that in December 2023, she was diagnosed with colon cancer after her doctor discovered a tumor the size of a lemon on her scan. Despite being able to remove the tumor and getting the all-clear from her doctor, in February 2024, her cancer returned.

After undergoing 16 rounds of chemotherapy and being told she qualified for a groundbreaking treatment, Schilling learned in December 2025 that her cancer had spread, and the doctors had done everything they could do for her.

Schilling spent years as a dating coach and expert on two versions of the Married at First Sight franchise. She was a staple on Married at First Sight UK and Married at First Sight Australia, offering advice to newly married couples.

Tributes have been pouring in for Schilling following her death, along with condolences for her family.

McDonald's is dropping a KPop Demon Hunters-inspired menu thanks to a partnership with Netflix, and it sounds like it's gonna begolden.

On Tuesday, the 86-year-old burger joint revealed it had partnered with the mega streamer to launch two new limited-edition Happy Meal-style combos for adults, each with its own collectible, as well as a brand-new McFlurry Flavor.

"Everything we do at McDonald's is for the fans, and no one can relate to that more than Netflix and KPop Demon Hunters," Alyssa Buetikofer, chief marketing and customer experience officer at McDonald's, shared in a March 24 press release. "Big things happen when you bring two massive fandoms together, and this partnership was a natural fit."

The new menu collaboration includes two all-new "dueling" adult meals that feature themed packaging and star some flavors commonly found in South Korean cuisine. Notably, one combo appears to only be available in the morning, when the fast-food chain's breakfast menu is served.

As for those special collectibles, each meal comes with an exclusive card pack featuring a Derpy access card and a photocard for either HUNTR/X or the Saja Boys. Customers who scan the QR code on each Derpy access card and enter the unique code on the McDonald's App by April 26 will unlock access to exclusive content, per the release.

Josh Duhamel is quite the busy bee.

I almost needed a walker to walk down the aisle, but I was fine the whole day," he continued. "And then the next morning after the wedding, I couldn’t get out of bed again. I was completely disabled. I couldn’t get up. I couldn’t walk, so they had to take me back to the hospital in a wheelchair and shoot me up again, and then slowly over two months it finally came back."

Nick Viall is sharing some insight into Taylor Frankie Paul's Bachelorette season.

On Tuesday, Mar. 24, the former Bachelor broke his silence on the shocking cancellation of Paul's season during an episode of The Viall Files podcast. During a September episode of the show, Viallclaimed Paul being cast as the Bachelorette was his idea, and that he was the one to suggest it to production.

Paul began filming The Bachelorette in late October 2025. At that point, she had filmed seasons 3 and 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, but neither had aired just yet. While season 3, which aired in November, was favorable to Paul, season 4—which dropped on Mar. 12—was not so kind to her.

"I haven't talked to anyone working on the show today, but my understanding of people who have talked to people, TheBachelor producers, maybe not at the highest level, but the people working on the show, were as equally surprised and as horrified to see what they saw on season 4," Viall claimed.

"People involved in making Taylor Frankie Paul's season of TheBachelorette had no idea what they were about to watch on season 4," he continued. "That this was an entire season about a woman who was having mental health struggles that was in this very toxic situation."

Season 4 of Secret Lives documented Paul's on-and-off relationship with her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen. Most of Paul's co-stars were unsupportive of the relationship, with several calling it "toxic" and expressing concerns for Paul's mental health.

In the season finale, Paul spent the night with Mortensen the day before leaving to film The Bachelorette, ultimately missing her flight the next morning.

Though both shows air on ABC and stream on Hulu and Disney+, Viall offered a possible explanation as to why Bachelorette producers were kept in the dark regarding Paul's negative edit on Secret Lives.

"Another thing I don't think people realize...You have Warner Bros. who produces The Bachelor, so they have a whole team of producers. That's their entity," Viall explained. "You have [Jeff Jenkins Productions] the production company that makes Secret Lives. Those are two completely different companies, completely motivations, completely different interests. They're not aligned."

"Disney is a distributor of The Bachelor. Disney is also the distributor of Secret Lives," he added. "They connect the dots. But those two production companies have completely different vested interests."

Paul’s season was scheduled to premiere on Sunday, Mar. 22. On Thursday, Mar. 19, ABC pulled the plug on her season after TMZ released a never-before-seen video that appears to show Paul assaulting Mortensen in 2023.

In a statement to TMZ, a Disney Entertainment spokesperson said, “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”

A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department in Utah also confirmed that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” regarding Paul and Mortensen related to incidents that allegedly occurred in February 2026.

The spokesperson confirmed “allegations have been made in both directions” and that “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th,” but declined to share any further details.

The time jump may surprise fans, especially given that Eloise's storyline will now take place in Season 6 of the series. It begs the question of what will or has happened within those two years for Eloise, who began to see marriage in a different light during Season 4. Some fans can speculate that they will likely interject her storyline into the backdrop of the new season.

Could Eloise begin to write letters to Sir Phillip throughout Season 5? There are plenty of possibilities of how Bridgerton will address Eloise's story, with Season 5 already headed into production.

There are no shortage of travel horror stories lately. And while most of them involve an uptick in long lines and cancelled flights, I still see plenty of passengers complaining about some of the old standbys. However, there definitely seems to be a rise in people dealing with damaged luggage of late. While I believe that a little wear and tear is to be expected when traveling, a lot of people are saying that the airlines they've flown on have actually destroyed their stuff.

For example, one woman said that Delta Airlines manhandled her luggage so badly during a recent trip, that the suitcase had to be wrapped in a plastic bag in order for her to transport it to her destination. A girls trip went awry for one TikToker who says that her bag was flagged as being damaged when she landed at her destination. The woman shared her story on social media, giving her followers a chance to watch as she unwrapped her silver suitcase, which had been wrapped in a white trash bag and labeled with a note when she arrived at baggage claim.

"Pas signed original tag for minor damage," the sticky note read. "Bag got more damaged going down the belt. Pax is requesting bag as is." However, the minor damage proved to be quite major once the TikToker started unraveling the wrapping, which is when she discovered that the suitcase was so badly dented that it could neither close nor stand up.

"I must know what happened for my suitcase to look like this," she captioned the video, which also featured the shocked reactions from her friends that she was traveling with.

The OP's followers were quick to share their stories, with one woman saying, "airports don't handle our suitcases well."

Typically, you can get help with damaged bags by contacting the airline directly. Scorsone, who plays Dr. Amelia Shepherd, and Fightmaster, who plays Dr. Kai Bartley, were spotted in Los Angeles yesterday, March 23.

In images published by E! News, Scorsone can be seen sporting a short-sleeved green T-shirt stamped with the word “oui” paired with medium-wash jeans, while Fightmaster is dressed in a white button-down and brown pants. Both are wearing relaxed-fitting baseball caps and sneakers.

According to the outlet, the two held hands while leaving lunch at the Highly Likely cafe. Previous spottings with the two include a sighting at an Angel City FC game in 2023 and Elton John’s EJAF Oscars 2026 after party earlier this month.

On the screen, Scorsone and Fightmaster acted out a romance between Amelia and Kai during Seasons 18 and 19 of the ABC stalwart. Short-lived and doomed, the romance was killed off when Kai moved to London.

Why Did Caterina Scorsone and Rob Giles Split?

Scorsone was previously married to musician Rob Giles. The two separated in 2020 after 11 years together. Though no clear reason was cited for the breakup, the two did offer a joint statement.

"Caterina and Rob have separated," People reported at the time. "They remain friends and are committed to co-parenting their children in a spirit of love."

They share three daughters: Elliza, 13; Paloma, 9; and Lucinda, 6. The actress first appeared in Season 7 of Grey’s. She plays the younger sister of the late Dr. Derek Shepherd, played by Patrick Dempsey. 

Meanwhile, Fightmaster was introduced in Season 18. The first nonbinary doctor in a recurring role on the show, their character worked at the Grey Center for Medical Research in Minnesota, where they, Amelia, and Meredith conducted research on a cure for Parkinson’s disease. 

Why Did Amelia Take a Sabbatical?

Neither Scorsone nor ABC has provided an official reason for Scorsone's sabbatical, but Deadlinereported that the medical series "had reduced the minimum guarantees for series regulars from 18 episodes per season to 14 during its 2024-25 season."

"That cost-cutting measure, which is common in other long-running shows, continued for the drama's 2025-26 season," People shared. "However, Scorsone will only appear in 10 of the 18 episodes."

In January, Scorsone returned to Grey's after a seven-episode absence at the end of 2025, People reported. Speaking with Shondaland, the actress spoke about her character's relationship with Kai.

“The Kaimelia situation was such a heartbreak for Amelia because they were such a beautiful match and they both had this really electric understanding of the brain and neurosurgery,” she said. "But life circumstances weren’t matching up, and there were all these externals that made it impossible. So since that heartbreak, she’s really been focused on medicine, which I think is actually the love of her life — her passion for the miracle of medicine and the human body."

Grey's Anatomy Season 22 airs new episodes Thursdays, at 10 p.m., on ABC. Episodes are available to stream on Hulu the next day, and the show is also available on Disney+.
