1974 ‘Happy Days’ Episode Ranked ‘Greatest’ of the Series Marked the Final Appearance of One Character
A 1974 Happy Days episode was named the “greatest” of the series, but it also led to one of the greatest mysteries in TV history.
Gold Derby ranked the Season 2 episode, “Guess Who’s Coming to Christmas,” as the all-time best episode from the 11-season sitcom, which aired on ABC from 1974 to 1984. The holiday-themed episode outranked classics such as “Fearless Fonzarelli, “A Date with Fonzie,” and "My Favorite Orkan,” the latter of which introduced up-and-coming comedian Robin Williams to the franchise.
The Happy Days Christmas episode featured a story about lonely tough-guy Fonzie (Henry Winkler) sharing a special holiday with the Cunningham family.
In its synopsis of the episode, Gold Derby noted, “Fonzie ends up spending Christmas Eve with the Cunninghams, finishing with a heartfelt, 'thank you, God.’ This is the last time Chuck is seen before disappearing for good.”

Never mentioned again“Guess Who’s Coming to Christmas” originally aired on Dec. 17, 1974, and it was one of the first episodes that gave the Fonzie character a main storyline, Winkler told TV Line in an interview. But it was also the end for Chuck, the eldest Cunningham family son, who was never mentioned on the show again.
“People still ask me about Chuck,” Winkler shared in the interview. “[The writers] couldn’t write for Chuck anymore because Fonzie was essentially the big brother.”
Chuck Cunningham appeared in a total of 11 Happy Days episodes. Gavan O’Herlihy played the character in nine episodes, per IMDb, but was replaced by Randolph Roberts in Season 2 for two episodes before Chuck disappeared from the show forever.
Roberts had several scenes in “Guess Who’s Coming to Christmas,” including one in which his character couldn’t find a faulty Christmas tree bulb and another in which he couldn’t figure out how to fix the family’s motorized Santa Claus. Fonzie ultimately fixed both problems, and by Season 3, the Fonz was living in an apartment above the Cunninghams’ garage.
The disappearance of Chuck spawned the "Chuck Cunningham Syndrome," a TV trope that refers to a character who goes missing with no explanation.
Happy Days creator Garry Marshall once addressed Chuck's vanishing act during a panel appearance. “Everybody asks me what happened to Chuck on Happy Days,” the showrunner shared. “We thought Richie (Ron Howard) needed a brother… but you've got to pay attention to what's happening. It soon became obvious because we heard the audience love Fonzie, it soon became obvious that Fonzie was like the older brother, and that was the relationship that was working."
“So I just said let's just have Chuck disappear and let's see how much mail we get,” Marshall continued. "We didn't get much, and the cast was, you know, around 11 years.”

Belinda Carlisle is one of the most enduring ’80s New Wave icons, and a recent stripped-down a cappella performance of her 1987 hit “Heaven Is a Place on Earth” is putting the Go-Go’s front woman’s signature voice on full display.

1991 No. 1 Hit, Banned by Music Channels, Won Video of the Year
In 1991, Garth Brooks released “The Thunder Rolls”—and became embroiled in controversy as it dominated the charts.
When the country superstar released “The Thunder Rolls," it quickly became his sixth No. 1 country hit during the explosive rise of his career. But while the single dominated country radio, its dark and cinematic music video sparked one of the biggest controversies Nashville had seen in years.
Part of the uproar surrounding the song came from a darker fourth verse Brooks often performed live in concert but left off the radio version. In the additional lyrics, the wife grabs a pistol after discovering her husband’s infidelity, strongly implying she plans to kill him.
Brooks later explained during an interview for Biography that audiences reacted strongly whenever he performed the verse live.
She runs back down the hallway, and through the bedroom door
She reaches for the pistol kept in the dresser drawer
Tells the lady in the mirror, "He won't do this again"
'Cause tonight will be the last time she'll wonder where he's been
“One night on a whim, in a concert, I put the [fourth] verse back in,” Brooks said. “The crowd response shocked me, so we started working it up that way and the more and more we did it, the more and more crowd response we got.”
Brooks said that reaction inspired the concept behind the music video.
“So when we started talking about a video, I wanted to include the concept, even though we wouldn’t be singing the verse,” he said.
When the video premiered on CMT and The Nashville Network (TNN), the reaction was immediate there as well. TNN quickly banned the video, while CMT pulled it soon after, arguing that the channels were “in business to entertain” rather than tackle social issues.
According to Patsi Bale Cox’s book "The Garth Factor: The Career Behind Country’s Big Boom," Capitol Nashville publicist Cathy Gurley screened the video for a panel of professional women before its release, and several believed it could help raise awareness about domestic violence. One woman on the panel had reportedly lost a sister to domestic violence and called the video one of the most powerful statements she had ever seen.
Instead of fading away, however, the controversy only made the video bigger.
Radio stations, newspapers and television outlets across the country began requesting copies so audiences could judge it for themselves. Some stations even organized fundraisers for battered women’s shelters tied to public screenings of the video. According to Cox’s book, advocacy groups and shelters later contacted Capitol Records to thank Brooks and his label for helping bring attention to domestic violence awareness efforts.
Brooks later admitted he intentionally wanted the video to provoke strong reactions—and he was not afraid to go there on future videos.
“I doubt that 'Thunder Rolls' is the last one that you'll see that deals with something that controversial. Because that's just where I like to walk. I love to walk on that firing line and, you know, make people start talking and make people start thinking among themselves,” Brooks said during a 1991 interview with journalist Jim Ruddy. “I think that’s how things get solved. But it’s not until you talk about them till they do.”
The singer also revealed that he deliberately cast himself as the cheating husband because he wanted viewers to despise the character.
“I had to find somebody that could make people hate him make people hate him real real bad,” Brooks said during the Biography interview. “So by the end of the song it was almost the viewer wishing that they were behind the gun.”
At the time, Brooks was helping reshape country music into a mainstream cultural force. In a 2024 retrospective, Billboard argued that Brooks didn’t simply “cross over” into pop music like earlier country stars. Instead, the publication credited him with rewriting the commercial rules entirely by bringing arena-sized performances, cinematic storytelling and blockbuster album sales directly into country music.
“The Thunder Rolls” became one of the clearest examples of that shift. The song topped the country charts in 1991, while its once-banned video eventually won CMA Video of the Year and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Music Video, Short Form.
Years later, Brooks still defended the message behind the controversy.
“The more light that is shed on darkness, the less there is that can be hidden,” Brooks said during the Ruddy interview.

According to Olson, “In the beginning, before season one, I almost didn't take [the role], because I was reading the scripts, and Dee was the voice of reason, and they all were really funny. I said, 'With all due respect, I just don't want to play that character. I don't want to be the voice of reason.' It just wasn't what I was interested in doing. They said to me, 'Look, we just haven't really written for women that much, but we'll figure it out.' My first thought was, 'Well, don't write for a woman. Just write another funny character.' I'll make it female just by not doing anything. I just am a woman. Don't think about it as male or female."

While they flirted here and there and kissed a number of times in the interim, the two officially became a couple in March 2006 at the wedding of two of their co-stars, Charlie Day and “The Waitress” actress Mary Elizabeth Ellis. McElhenney admitted, “At a certain point, you can only be respectful of the situation for so long. You have a woman this beautiful, this talented, this kind.”

Rob, who I've now married, had to be talked into hiring me."

Old Navy's Affordable Canvas Jacket Is the Perfect Grab-and-Go Layer for Everyday Wear
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
One thing I've learned over the years is that having a reliable lightweight jacket nearby always comes in handy. The weather can change quickly, especially when you're constantly moving throughout the day like I am. Some mornings start cool, afternoons warm up, and then rain randomly decides to show up out of nowhere. Because of that, I've gotten into the habit of always keeping a good jacket in my vehicle. It's one of those everyday essentials you don't think about until you suddenly need it.
I'm also somebody who appreciates clothing that feels practical without sacrificing style. I don't always want something oversized, heavy or bulky taking up space in the car. A good lightweight jacket should feel versatile enough to throw on quickly, whether you're running errands, grabbing food, traveling around the city or dealing with an unexpected temperature drop. The best ones become part of your daily routine naturally because they work in almost every situation.
Cropped Canvas Barn Jacket, $34.99 at Old NavyOld Navy
Shop It!That's honestly why the Cropped Canvas Barn Jacket from Old Navy caught my attention immediately. At $34.99, this feels like the type of jacket you can keep nearby at all times without overthinking it. It delivers a rugged everyday aesthetic while remaining lightweight and functional enough for regular use.
What stands out to me first is the overall design. The cropped fit gives it a cleaner, more modern appearance than heavier, oversized outerwear. It layers easily over hoodies, t-shirts or sweaters without feeling too stiff or restrictive. Personally, I like jackets that feel easy to throw on quickly while still making an outfit look complete, and this fits that category perfectly.
The corduroy spread collar honestly gives the jacket a lot of personality, too. It adds texture and detail without making the piece feel flashy. There's something classic about that combination of canvas and corduroy accents that always feels timeless. It gives off a vintage, utility-inspired look while still being wearable for everyday situations.

I also appreciate the functionality built into it. Between the zip welt chest pocket, front welt pockets and full zip front, the jacket feels practical enough for daily movement. Whether you're storing keys, keeping your hands warm, or just needing an extra layer during unexpected rain, those small details make a difference over time. The fully lined interior is another major plus because lightweight jackets can sometimes feel too thin, but this seems balanced enough to provide comfort without becoming too heavy.
For me personally, pieces like this become staples because of convenience. I love having a dependable jacket sitting in the backseat ready whenever temperatures drop, or rain starts rolling in unexpectedly. You don't always want to carry around a hoodie or wear a heavy coat all day. Sometimes you just need something simple, comfortable and reliable that works without effort.
At under $35, the Cropped Canvas Barn Jacket feels like one of those affordable wardrobe staples that can quietly become part of your everyday. It's stylish enough to wear casually, practical enough to keep nearby constantly and versatile enough to work across multiple situations without feeling overcomplicated.

Stephen Colbert Still Has Barack Obama Salty Over Wastepaper Basketball Loss
President Barack Obama isn't ready to let it go that late-night comedian Stephen Colbert beat him at wastepaper basketball.
During a sit-down interview, the former president recalled asking NBA great Julius Erving for an autograph as a kid living in Hawaii, prompting Colbert to recall that Dr. J was the first person he ever played wastepaper basketball with.
"You and I played wastepaper basketball once back in the day," Colbert recalled. "It doesn't matter who won."
When Obama asked who won against Dr. J, Colbert replied, "I won, and he was not happy," adding, "he accused me of cheating."
"Yeah... you probably did," Obama quipped, stone-faced. "I mean, you practice... You crumple the balls up a little tight..."
View this post on InstagramAstonished, Colbert says, "I'm not! I have never—you gotta let it go, man. You've done a lot of great things. Don't let this be the thing that, in the middle of the night, you go, 'What if I had won? What if I had achieved that?'"
Smiling, Obama said, "I'm getting kinda hot. Let's move on."
Obama doesn't mess around when it comes to basketball. Last month, he shared a video of himself working seriously on his phone, teasing some "unfinished business." Text messages shared on screen looked like trash-talking, leaving fans wondering what he was working on. "I can't believe I'm still dealing with this," he said with a serious look on his face.
While some people hoped it was a return to the political arena, Obama's unfinished business was a basketball grudge match against Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards. After exchanging a few barbs, it was time for serious hoops. "I was making jump shots before you were even thought of!" Obama snarked, adding, "I don't want you hurting yourself."
Despite the verbal sparring, the rivalry showdown was staged to announce the Obama Presidential Center this summer. Hopefully, the president will swing by from time to time to challenge visitors not only in hoops, but also in ping pong and Connect 4.
Pepsi Launches Limited-Edition New Collab with Pokémon – And Fans Want to 'Catch Them All'
This year marks the official 30th anniversary of the wildly successful multimedia series, Pokémon.
To celebrate the big event, multiple well-known food and beverage brands have announced new partnership with the creators of the franchise to help bring certain limited-time Pokémon products to life.
While American fans will receive limited-edition collabs between Pokémon and brands like Pop-Tarts, Japanese audiences are getting what might very well be the most exciting lineup of releases tied to the franchise.
According to Sporked, Pepsi is set to roll out a wide variety of new soda bottles featuring some of the most famous Pokémon characters ever featured in the series. This includes:
- C.C. Lemon: Lemon soda featuring the images ofPichu, Pikachu and Raichu.
- Pepsi Big Zero: A Japanese-exclusive, zero-sugar, zero-calorie iteration of Pepsi featuring images of Charmander, Charmeleon and Charizard.

As delicious and creative as these sodas sound, sadly, American Pokémon fans might have trouble finding them in the States, with the products exclusively sold in Japan. However, Sporked recommended more determined collectors check their local Asian supermarkets or try to get their hands on the bottles through online sellers.
Launching in 1996, Pokémon initially began as a colorful Nintendo video game before its successful transition to mainstream pop culture. Over the years, it's spanned numerous video games, card games, tie-in animated series, movies, comic books and many more.
Since its inception three decades ago, it's become one of the highest-grossing media franchises ever created, with its estimated revenue somewhere around $115 billion.
2012 ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Episode Ranked the Funniest in the Entire Series Had an Iconic Guest Star
The Big Bang Theory lasted 12 seasons, running from 2007 until 2019 with 279 episodes overall. Although there are plenty of iconic episodes, “The Hawking Excitation” has been ranked as the funniest one in the series by Collider. This was the first episode to involve the legendary Stephen Hawking, who appeared 7 times over the course of the show, although several of his appearances were voiceovers only.
In “The Hawking Excitation,” Howard receives an email from Hawking’s office, announcing he is coming to lecture at Caltech and is in need of an engineer to help maintain his wheelchair. Sheldon, who is a huge fan of Hawking, asks Howard to introduce him. However, Howard makes him complete a series of humiliating tasks first. In the end, Sheldon gets to meet Hawking in person.
Jim Parsons, who played Sheldon, spoke about working with Hawking during an interview with TV Guide in 2012. The actor said, "It was insane and intense, if I'm being honest. To be in his presence was a very powerful thing. He's communicating only through a speech-generating device, but I was also able to look into his eyes."
He continued, "We had this scene written out, and obviously his lines were pre-programmed into his computer. They had the capability of just cueing his lines, but he demanded to control every take himself by operating his machine with his cheek muscle. At first he was very slow getting the cues going, but they fine-tuned it. Only at the very end of the day did I realize the magnitude of what we'd pulled off."

Parsons also spoke about Hawking in a 2018 interview with The Associated Press, pointing out how fortunate he felt to work with the man, who passed in March of 2018. Parsons said, "So much of our show is related, based on, adjacent to everything that Stephen Hawking did, strove to do, thought about, was passionate about through his entire life and career. The fact that he knew of our show, was interested in being on it, was willing to come play with us group of monkeys for a couple days was really moving."
He continued, “And it's one of the things that's kind of bittersweet in a way because once he's passed now and now we're talking about him, it really hammers home how fortunate I was to get to be with him.”
The Big Bang Theory led to the spinoffs Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. HBO Max also recently announced Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, which will star members from the original cast.

McDonald's Debuts Brand-New Creamy Strawberry Coke – But Fans Aren't Thrilled with the Finished Product
In the grand scheme of things, it's hard to think of two brands more readily recognized by international consumers than Coca-Cola and McDonald's.
Catering to fans in every corner of the globe, one might think that Coke and McDonald's go together about as well as PB and J or ice cream and chocolate syrup, with both products managing to bring out the best in one another's distinct flavor profile.
As great as each product is on its own, a new Coke beverage from the iconic fast food chain has been turning quite a few heads in recent weeks – and not in a good way.
As reported by multiple diners across social media, McDonald's Canada has recently launched a new version of their classic Coke beverage in the form of their Creamy Strawberry Coke.
Leaning into the ongoing craze surrounding the dirty soda trend, the beverage specifically combines that beloved Coke flavor with notes of fresh strawberry and rich cream.
While these flavors might sound delicious, many social media users are expressing their disappointment with the new beverage, with one account only ranking it 2/10 stars on Reddit.
"Creamy top doesn't work and strawberry is artificial tasting and overpowering," the user wrote.
"McDonald’s Coke is perfect, and nothing should ever be added to it except more of it," another account added.
Some fans did offer the helpful suggestion of stirring the cream topping into the beverage to ensure a more conducive cream-based drink, rather than watching the cream settle at the top of the drink.
"IMO the cream sits on top of the ice too much and leaves you under-satisfied when you drink it as served. I mix it from the start now and it’s so much better," one user recommended.
As of yet, it's not clear whether the Creamy Strawberry Coke is a limited-edition menu item or a permanent addition to McDonald's Canada.
Universal Is Bringing Major 80s and 90s Nostalgia to CityWalk This Summer
If you’ve spent any time at Universal Orlando recently, you know the real magic isn’t just in the parks—it’s in how they keep reinventing the spaces in between. This summer, The Red Coconut Club at CityWalk is proving that point by ditching its usual lounge act for a full-blown time machine.
As of May 2026, the venue's been transformed into “Re(D)tro Nights,” a neon-soaked pop-up that feels like stepping directly into a John Hughes movie or an early MTV music video.
The vibe is a total 80s and 90s throwback, and according to a report from Inside the Magic, it’s part of Universal’s genius strategy of rotating themed overlays. We’ve seen them do this for Halloween and the holidays, but this summer version is all about high-energy nostalgia. Think bright neon lighting, arcade-style games and interactive photo ops that are basically catnip for anyone who grew up in the era of cassettes and high-top fades.

View this post on InstagramFor those of us who love a good "hidden gem" find, this is the perfect place to exhale after a high-velocity day at the parks. It’s a pulse-driven dance club where a live DJ spins back-to-back hits from both decades, creating a space that feels more like a private party than a standard tourist bar. It’s sophisticated enough for a luxe night out, but energetic enough that you’ll actually want to put your phone away and get on the dance floor.
Because it’s a pop-up, it has that "if you know, you know" urgency. The retro theme is only scheduled to run through July 18, so it’s a limited-time opportunity to catch this specific version of the club before it evolves into whatever is next. Whether you’re staying at a Universal hotel or just hopping over from Disney for the evening, it’s worth the detour to see CityWalk’s most flexible space in its most colorful form yet.
Just a head's up for the planners: because the space is so unique, it’s a popular pick for private events, but they usually open back up to the public later in the night. So, if you see a "closed" sign early on, don’t give up on your neon dreams—grab a quick dinner and come back for the late-night set.
American Girl Just Introduced a New Doll With a Relatable, Heartwarming Story
American Girl is giving fans a sneak preview at its 2027 Girl of the Year, and the timing couldn't be more perfect.
This morning, while the brand's 40th-anniversary celebrations continue and viewers gear up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, American Girl revealed it would add a new soccer-loving doll to its storied collection in just a few short months.
Every year, the company introduces its Girl of the Year as a contemporary character who is relatable and eager to inspire "confidence, individuality, and imagination" for a new generation. Last year, it was Raquel Reyes, and this year, American Girl is tapping into the momentous occasion in the sport and debuting an athletic, somewhat shy new character named Daisy Davenport.
American Girl Previews Its 2027 Girl of the Year: Meet Daisy DavenportAccording to an official description shared in an email with Parade, Daisy is "an energetic, soccer-loving girl looking forward to the 'perfect summer' at sleepaway camp."
However, not all goes as planned for her, as explained in the synopsis of her accompanying storybook, Daisy Davenport Saves the Day, which will debut ahead of the doll's official release. Initially, Daisy had planned to attend sleepaway camp with her best friend, Callie. But ahead of the trip, Callie gets injured and can no longer go, so Daisy must head to camp on her own and navigate homesickness, new friendships, and unexpected challenges (feelings that so many kids can relate to!)

While at Camp Gowonagin, Daisy learns to step outside her comfort zone and embrace new experiences. During her journey, she discovers "the importance of perseverance, kindness, and courage, ultimately growing more confident and learning that even when things don’t go as planned, she can still create a meaningful and memorable experience."
While no images of the doll were provided, the cover art suggests Daisy Davenport is Caucasian, with long reddish-brown hair, thick bangs, and a sporty yet chic style.

These 8 'Yellowstone' Characters Could Return in New Spinoff 'Dutton Ranch'
The Yellowstone universe may be heading to Texas, but Dutton Ranch appears poised to carry forward the same DNA that made the original series such a phenomenon. The Paramount+ sequel continues the story after Yellowstone, following the Dutton legacy into a new setting while maintaining the franchise’s core focus on family, loyalty, land, and survival.
With the series serving as a direct continuation rather than a reinvention, fans are already speculating about which familiar characters from Montana could two-step into Texas. And considering how deeply interconnected the Dutton family story has become, there are plenty of Yellowstone veterans who would make sense being a part of this next chapter.
Before the Dutton Ranch premiere on May 15, here’s a look at a few Yellowstone characters who could make an appearance on the new spinoff.
Kevin Costner as John Dutton in 'Yellowstone'K
John Dutton (Kevin Costner)At first glance, John Dutton might feel like the longest shot of them all given Kevin Costner’s highly publicized exit from Yellowstone. But the door may not be completely closed. In an interview with Deadline in 2024, Costner said he had been open to returning for the second half of Season 5 before production issues and scheduling conflicts ultimately derailed those plans. That leaves at least some possibility that Costner and series producer Taylor Sheridan could eventually find common ground for a brief appearance in Dutton Ranch.
A cameo would also make narrative sense. John and Beth (Kelly Reilly) shared one of the closest relationships in the franchise, so it would feel natural for Beth to still reflect on her father as she builds a new life in Texas. Even if Costner never films new material, the series could still incorporate archival footage or flashbacks from Yellowstone to maintain John’s presence in the story.
Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton in 'Yellowstone'Fred Hayes/CBS
Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes)Of all the Yellowstone characters who could realistically appear on Dutton Ranch, Kayce Dutton may be the most likely. Beth and Kayce remained close throughout Yellowstone, and with Beth and Rip (Cole Hauser) beginning a new chapter in Texas, it would make sense for Kayce to eventually check in on his sister — especially after everything the family endured by the end of the original series.
There’s also a practical reason the crossover feels plausible. While Dutton Ranch and Marshals may air on different networks, both series still exist within the same Yellowstone universe and are still overseen by Taylor Sheridan. So it’s easy to imagine Kayce showing up on Dutton Ranch for an episode — or even Beth and Rip popping up on Marshals at some point down the line.
Taylor Sheridan Travis Wheatley (Taylor Sheridan)Since Dutton Ranch leans heavily into the Texas ranching world, a Travis Wheatley sighting feels almost inevitable. As one of the top trainers in the cutting horse world, Travis has long been a trusted figure when it comes to developing and showcasing the Duttons’ most valuable assets. With Beth and Rip likely focused on building and expanding the business side of the ranch, bringing Travis back into the fold would be a logical move.
Beyond the practical need for his expertise, Travis’ blunt, no-frills personality also fits seamlessly into the Yellowstone universe, making him an easy and believable crossover from the original series.

Jefferson White as Jimmy Hurdstrom in 'Yellowstone'Courtesy of Paramount
Jimmy Hurdstrom (Jefferson White)Few Yellowstone characters feel more naturally connected to Texas than Jimmy Hurdstrom. After earning his keep at the Four Sixes Ranch during the original series, Jimmy already has deep roots in the Texas side of Taylor Sheridan’s universe. He’s also closely tied to Rip, making him an easy fit for Dutton Ranch. Whether it’s a brief cameo or a larger supporting role, Jimmy feels like one of the most seamless crossover possibilities available to the new series.
Ryan Bingham as Walker in 'Yellowstone'Courtesy of Paramount
Walker (Ryan Bingham)Walker feels like a strong possibility given his long-standing connection to both Rip and the bunkhouse crew. As one of Yellowstone’s most memorable characters, Walker always carried a restless spirit that makes the idea of him eventually winding up in Texas feel believable. And with Bingham’s real-life cowboy and country music background fitting naturally into the Texas setting, Walker would slide into Dutton Ranch almost effortlessly.
Jennifer Landon as Teeter in 'Yellowstone'Jennifer Landon as Teeter in Yellowstone. Photo courtesy of Paramount.
Teeter (Jennifer Landon)Teeter makes plenty of sense as a potential Dutton Ranch crossover. By the end of Yellowstone, she had left the ranch behind and was working in Texas for Travis alongside Jimmy. That existing connection to the Four Sixes world — combined with her fan-favorite status and close friendships with the bunkhouse crew — makes Teeter one of the easiest characters to organically fold into the new series.

Ian Bohen as Ryan in 'Yellowstone'Ian Bohen
Ryan (Ian Bohen)Ryan could make the jump to Dutton Ranch simply because he became one of the most trusted members of the Yellowstone bunkhouse. By the end of the original series, Ryan had firmly earned Rip’s respect, making it believable that Rip would want someone reliable by his side while building a new life in Texas.
There’s also the possibility that Ryan wouldn’t come alone. Yellowstone fans will remember his relationship with Abby, played by country music star Lainey Wilson. With Dutton Ranch shifting the franchise to Texas — a setting deeply tied to country music culture — bringing Abby back alongside Ryan would feel like a natural fit for the series.
Forrie J. Smith as Lloyd in 'Yellowstone'Courtesy of Paramount
Lloyd (Forrie J. Smith)Lloyd may have turned down Rip’s invitation to head to Texas at the end of Yellowstone, but that doesn’t mean fans have seen the last of him. As one of the ranch’s oldest and most loyal cowboys, Lloyd has deep ties to both Rip and Beth, making him an easy character to bring back for a visit or storyline down the road. Even if he chooses to go his own way, Dutton Ranch feels like the kind of show where Rip would still pick up the phone and call Lloyd when he needs advice — or backup.
Everything to Know About Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' 4 Kids
If anyone hit the gene pool jackpot, it's the Lively-Reynolds kids. There's no need to get into why—the pictures of the photogenic pair say it all.
Speaking of photos, Blake Lively subtly revealed on Instagram in 2023 that she had given birth to the couple's fourth child, but it didn't include a sweet newborn photo. Instead, a clearly no-longer-pregnant Lively stood between Ryan Reynoldsand his mom in a photo captioned "Puppy BowlSunday 2023...been busy." The rest of the slideshow featured a bunch of Lively's favorite Big Game dishes.

View this post on InstagramFans quickly caught the drift and started congratulating the couple, who did not immediately reveal the name or sex of the baby (they never find out beforehand, though Reynolds hinted he was "sort of hoping" for a girl on a Today appearance in late 2022). The move was classic Reynolds-Lively. The duo is famously private about their now-four children. Their good pal Taylor Swift arguably reveals more about the brood in her songs.
But like Swift, Reynolds and Lively have dished on their little ones here and there. Their fourth child's name has finally been revealed (more on that soon!). Here's what we can tell you about the family of six.

In an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Reynolds, like most parents of multiple, admitted, "The first one, everything's like perfect, and you set everything up, everything's sterilized," he says. "By the fourth, you're just like, oh, right this is happening—I should sweep or something."
In a December 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Reynolds opened up about how he and Lively try to give their four kids "as normal a life as possible."
"I try not to impose upon them the difference in their childhood to my childhood or my wife's childhood," Reynolds said. "We both grew up very working class, and I remember when they were very young, I used to say or think, like, 'Oh God, I would never have had a gift like this when I was a kid,' or, 'I never would've had this luxury of getting takeout,' or whatever. Then I realized that that's not really their bag of rocks to carry. They're already very much in touch with gratitude and understanding the world enough to have a strong sense of empathy. Those are the things that I would think [would indicate] we're doing an okay job—if our kids can empathize with other people and other kids."

However, Reynolds made it fairly clear on the Today show that Swift didn't break any family news in TTPD.
"We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child's name will be," Reynolds joked in the May 2024 interview. "And we'll say this: We're still waiting."

11 Outdoor Furniture Ideas That Instantly Upgrade Any Backyard Space
Ready to level up your backyard for summer? Now is the time to get started on choosing A-plus outdoor furniture, mastering your space's layout and investing in special amenities before outdoor hangout season truly kicks off. Below, designers share their top tips for creating a functional, elevated backyard just in time for the warm weather that's on the way.
By no means do you have to view your outdoor area as one gigantic, continuous space. "Outdoor spaces should be designed with intimacy in mind," says Layton Campbell, the founder of J Layton Interiors. "Create moments throughout a garden or a terrace for conversations and connection over a cocktail or a cup of coffee." As such, he recommends breaking up a larger outdoor area into smaller seating areas that can accommodate various groups of guests.
2. Mix MaterialsMaggie Griesbeck, the founder of MNG Design, is a proponent of skipping matching furniture sets in favor of mixed materials including teak, resin wicker and aluminum. "All of those materials are durable and designed to withstand all weather conditions, though we always recommend that clients store or cover their furniture in the winter months to extend its longevity," she says.
Caroline Ervin, the founder of Caroline Ervin Landscape Design, agrees. "The furniture pieces should coordinate with each other, but do not have to be a full matching set," she says. "Select one or two dominant colors and use those throughout, then add pops of color for fun and interest."
3. Take Cues From the IndoorsPhoto by Wirestock on Getty Images
When designing an outdoor space, there's no reason not to keep the same priorities top of mind as you would when working on an interior room. "I believe outdoor spaces should function as an extension of the home," says Jennifer Kole, the founder of Jenami Designs.
"By treating them with the same attention to comfort and aesthetics as a family or dining room, you can create a seamless transition." For Kole, this means mixing fabric patterns and adding in thoughtful lighting, for example.
4. Less Is MoreWhen it comes to decorating an outdoor space, Stephanie Larsen, the founder of Stephanie Larsen Interior Design, recommends taking a refined approach. "Avoid overwhelming your exterior with too many pieces, and instead, take a less-is-more approach that prioritizes quality and function," she says.
The furniture you select and the layout you implement will also affect how airy and open your space appears. "Use generous proportions, especially in seating, to reduce visual clutter, and harness the power of tools like outdoor rugs, screen partitions and lighting to support the intentional zoning of different areas, creating upscale appeal through clearly defined purpose," the designer suggests.
Jessica Risko Smith, the founder of JRS ID, expresses similar views. "Generous pathways between zones aren't wasted space; they make a patio feel relaxed and intentional," she says. "Leave room to pull a chair out, walk around the table and move naturally between areas."
5. Think LuxePhoto by Andrea Rugg on Getty Images
Outfitting your outdoor space with some top-notch amenities will encourage you (and your friends!) to relax and stay a while. Larsen is a fan of elements such as luxury grills and pizza ovens, for one. "Additionally, consider adding features that enhance overall comfort, such as outdoor fireplaces, plush day beds, chaise lounges and deep-seated sectionals—elements that deliver open-air enjoyment day and night," she says.
6. Keep Functionality Top of MindWhile designers are all for making outdoor spaces look beautiful, they underscore the importance of function, too. "Lead with function, then layer in beauty," Smith says. Essentially, she explains, "Before selecting a single piece of furniture, consider how you actually want to use the outdoor space." Perhaps that's for entertaining, or maybe your main goal is to unwind by the fire.
7. Bring Vintage Into the MixSay yes to second-hand in the backyard. "Incorporate vintage or found pieces whenever possible," encourages Blair Williams, the founder of Williams & Grange Interiors. "It helps the space feel collected over time and adds a sense of character and authenticity."
8. Refresh Throw Pillows OftenAny throw pillows that are kept outdoors are going to show signs of wear and tear over time. "One professional recommendation I always give is to refresh your throw pillows annually," says Sydney Levy, a designer at Anthony Wilder Design/Build. "Since they tend to take a beating from the elements, replacing them is an easy, inexpensive way to instantly upgrade and revive the space."

Williams is a proponent of "using planters as a design moment" in the backyard. "Opt for a mix of textures and styles and layer in plenty of greenery to bring life and softness to the perimeter," she encourages.
10. Invest in Proper Furniture CoveringsPhoto by AwakenedEye on Getty Images
To ensure your outdoor furniture will last as long as possible, it's important to purchase reliable covers. "Not only will rain get cushions wet, there are many things that fall from the sky—leaves, bird droppings, et. cetera," Ervin explains.
11. Prioritize the ViewEveryone should be able to enjoy a pleasant view of the garden while sitting in your backyard. "Group the furniture so that there are views of the garden from various seats," Ervin offers.
"Add garden elements or features that can be seen from the seating area, too," she adds, such as a small water feature. "It adds calming sound to the outdoor space and masks the sounds from the street or neighbors."

Choosing Patio Furniture for the Summer? Here Are 5 Tips From the Pros
If you're looking to revamp your patio in time for summer or are purchasing outdoor furniture for the first time this season, you'll want to make sure that you're investing in pieces that will last for the long haul while also adding style to your backyard. Here, design experts share their top five tips for what to keep in mind when selecting outdoor furniture that you will continue to love for decades.
1. Less Is MorePhoto by Maskot on Getty Images
Don't feel as though you need to completely fill your patio with furniture pieces to make it shine. "I always recommend investing in fewer, better-made pieces rather than overfilling a space," says Heidi Tate, the founder of Tate Interiors. "Comfort, scale and quality will always read as more elevated than quantity."
2. Materials MatterSpeaking of quality, note that the materials your outdoor furniture is made of really do matter when it comes to durability and longevity. "Powder-coated aluminum is one of my go-tos for its longevity and low maintenance, while teak is beautiful and timeless, if clients are comfortable with it naturally developing patina over time," Tate says.
Stephanie Albarran, the Fermob USA brand manager, also highlights the benefits of outdoor furniture made from metals such as aluminum, citing its recyclability as one. Moreover, she says, "Aluminum outdoor furniture is weather resistant, long-lasting and light enough to move and reposition as your patio needs evolve."

Skip the plastic. While budget-friendly, it isn't built to last, nor is it environmentally friendly. "The great outdoors can be cruel," says Marci Bonner, a senior associate at Richardson & Associates Landscape Architecture. "Sunlight and temperature swings often leave plastic brittle and faded within a few seasons, and in the long run, the 'savings' often evaporate when you're forced to replace the set every two years."
When it comes to pillows and cushions, Tate sings the praises of performance fabrics, calling them "non-negotiable."
3. Play to Your SurroundingsPhoto by Johner Images on Getty Images
You will want your patio furniture to integrate seamlessly with the existing elements in your backyard. According to Bonner, "Designing the perfect outdoor oasis is about more than just picking a comfortable chair—it's about architectural harmony." She adds, "Before you fall in love with a furniture set, consider the 'bones' of your yard—since your fencing, pergolas and decking are permanent landscape elements, your furniture should complement them."
4. Play With Furniture ColorThese days, metal outdoor furniture comes in a wide array of colors—but which are the best ones to choose? Don't be afraid to go a little bit outside the box and veer beyond basic neutrals. "Greens and blues are easy and popular colors to mix and match with any atmosphere or plants," Albarran says. "Daring to choose colorful furniture brings a sense of joie de vivre and energy to a backyard or terrace."
Photo by Dmytro Duda on Getty Images
That said, there is such a thing as going too bold with outdoor furniture. "We recommend avoiding a single intense, vivid color on large furniture pieces or full sets, as these shades can quickly become overwhelming," Albarran explains. "They work better on smaller pieces or accents." A good rule to follow? "Limit the palette to a maximum of three colors on a large set and two colors on small set," Albarran advises. "Contrast by adding pops of color with small pieces like lighting, trays and trivets."
5. Consider Folding OptionsPhoto by Pieter Estersohn on Getty Images
Worried that a small backyard will prevent you from sourcing suitable outdoor furniture? This certainly doesn't have to be the case, given all of the amazing folding options that retailers such as Fermob offer.
In addition to being easy to store in the off-season, foldable outdoor furniture is also incredibly versatile on a day-to-day basis, Albarran notes. "Folding options help create different living areas depending on the moment of the day or the number of guests—a coffee alone, drinks for two or a dinner with family and friends," she says.

Back in September, Fireball also jumped into the apple market, releasing its first-ever flavor extension, Blazin’ Apple.
The cinnamon whiskey’s apple flavor may have launched last fall, but it wasn’t a seasonal offering: fans can purchase the flavor year-round, with early feedback calling it a huge hit.

Sabrina Carpenter Goes Bold With Transparent Outfit at Dior Cruise Show
Sabrina Carpenter is turning heads, this time not on stage but at the 2026 Dior Cruise Show.
On May 13, the pop star joined the star-studded event as celebrities gathered at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for a glamorous fashion-filled evening.
Hollywood icons Al Pacino, Macaulay Culkin, Jeff Goldblum and his wife Emilie, as well as award-winning singer Miley Cyrus, Anya Taylor-Joy and Olympian Eileen Gu and others stepped out to attend the spectacular event by the French fashion house, showcasing the design of its new creative director, Jonathan Anderson.
Amid a crowd of stylish celebrities and influential people at the latest Dior show, Carpenter stole the spotlight with her ultra see-through look.
While several stars have been rocking the transparent trend on the red carpet and award shows, the “Please Please Please” hitmaker transformed the risqué look into an ethereal, barely-there ensemble.
The 27-year-old star arrived in a Dior RE27 gown.

The lemon-yellow dress perfectly complemented Carpenter’s skin tone, while the high-neck design made it look modest despite the vertical pleated fabric, which made the ensemble appear ultra-sheer and nearly transparent, with her white lace undergarments peeking through.
What made the look extra interesting was the dress’ attention to detail.
