Senior Pregnant Beagle Rescued From Lab Enjoys the Outdoors for the First Time and We're Emotional
More than 1,500 Beagles were recently rescued from Ridglan Farms, a Wisconsin breeding and recent facility, and are experiencing love and security for the very first time. After Big Dog Ranch Rescue and the Center for a Humane Economy negotiated a confidential agreement to purchase the 1,500 dogs for an undisclosed price from Ridglan Farms, the Beagles were placed with rescue organizations that are giving these precious pooches the healing touch and environment they need.
One senior Beagle is expecting puppies and got to feel the sun on her face for the first time in her entire life and you can easily see her gratitude.
@meraclepawsWe've carried 1000 Lab Beagles out of that place into freedom. So many of them were seniors… dogs who spent their entire lives in cages breeding puppies for experiments and testing. This sweet senior mama had never touched grass, breathed fresh air, or felt the sun on her face. Today I held her while she lifted her head to the sky and tasted sunshine with her little tongue for the very first time. I don’t think I’ll ever forget this moment for the rest of my life. The Beagle's eyes were closed as she took in the warmth and got to finally experience fresh air. The rescue organization revealed how dire the situation was for these canines.
"We've carried 1000 Lab Beagles out of that place into freedom," the caption shared. "So many of them were seniors… dogs who spent their entire lives in cages breeding puppies for experiments and testing."
The pregnant Beagle was one of the many survivors from the breeding and research facility. These dogs were held in horrible conditions and finally got to experience basic pleasures like affection, gentleness, and even the outdoors.
"This sweet senior mama had never touched grass, breathed fresh air, or felt the sun on her face," the story continued. "Today I held her while she lifted her head to the sky and tasted sunshine with her little tongue for the very first time. I don’t think I’ll ever forget this moment for the rest of my life."
Rescued Beagles Are Receiving Adoption ApplicationsThe Beagles seemed to sense that their rescuers were there to set them free and quickly began to trust the animal advocates.
“They started within an hour or so coming up to us, wanting attention," Big Dog Ranch Rescue Founder and President Lauree Simmons said, according to NBC Miami. "Some crawled in people’s laps. Every single one of them is super sweet. I think they are loving the attention. I just know they know they’re safe.”

Woman Reveals the Best Flower for Attracting Hummingbirds—and It’s Gorgeous
It's Hummingbird season! If you're anything like me, you're racing to try anything that might bring them to your yard. I love Hummingbirds, but I've only seen a few of them in my yard. It's so sad!
Maybe I just don't have the right plants. Luckily, a woman who's had a lot of success with attracting Hummingbirds in the past recently shared her secret: the best flower to plant if you want to see some Hummingbirds. Not only is it the best, though, it's also beautiful!
@lenanagoriIf you want hummingbirds in your yard, plant Cuphea (cigar plant) 🌺 I planted this here in Vancouver and didn’t expect to see hummingbirds this often! It’s one of the easiest nectar-rich flowers they LOVE 🩷🌿 #hummingbird
♬ originalljud - user9283848281934Lena Nagori has cracked the code! I'll definitely be taking some pointers from this video, especially since it's kind of a two birds, one stone scenario: it attracts hummingbirds, and it looks nice. The plant is Cuphea, AKA Cigar Plant. It's called that because of the brownish-red tubular flowers; they kind of look like cigars.
She keeps hers in a pot, though you could definitely plant it as well. The Hummingbirds don't seem to mind it being in a pot. All they care about is the yummy nectar inside! Someone in the comments did mention that Japanese Lady Beetles also love it, though, so if you love in an area with lots of them, try another flower instead.
Related: Rare Hot Pink Hummingbird Is Pure Fairy-Tale Magic
Lena lives in Vancouver, and she hasn't had any issues so far! The cigar plant is easy to care for and very nectar-rich, which means it'll quickly become a neighborhood favorite for Hummingbirds, honeybees, and any other nectar lovers. Vancouver is full of beautiful flowers:
@lenanagoriPeak bloom is here 🌸 blink and it’s gone 🙈
♬ LOVE THERAPHY - FELIS TIGRISHummingbirds love cherry blossoms, too! They're a super important food source in the early springtime, before other flowers have started to bloom.
Why Do Hummingbirds Like Cigar Plants?Cigar plants are a great idea if you want to attract Hummingbirds, especially if you're just starting out. They need frequent watering, but other than that, they're low maintenance.
A Hummingbird flying near a cigar plant.Image via Shutterstock / Lecia Michelle
Hummingbirds are attracted to cigar plants because they're:
- Brightly colored and easy to see.
- Comfortable to "drink" from.
- High producers, meaning lots of nectar.
- Usually growing in abundance, so it's a long-term resource.
If you're going to plant them, just make sure they're not sprayed with any chemicals. You'll be the talk (or, them hum?) of the town!

Cat Sees Dad Dancing and Legit Rolls His Eyes in Pure Annoyance
Our beloved cats can sometimes be our harshest critics, and this hilarious cat video is a perfect example of that.
It appears that thisTabby cat rolls his eyes at his dad's dancing to Cardi B, and it's pure comedy gold.
The moment perfectly encapsulates why people love it when cats act like humans (even if they're making fun of us).
@tamitalianour homophobic cat does not appreciate queer art
♬ original sound - Michael & Ajay Can Cats Really Roll Their Eyes?So the question now is: Did the kitty really roll his eyes because he found his dad's dance moves to be lame or annoying?
It was timed so perfectly that it looks like the Tabby did indeed have a reaction to his dad's dancing, but could this really happen?
According to VetsExplainCats, yes, cats can roll their eyes.
They don't have as much motion as humans, but they can certainly move their eyes in different directions, and this includes rolling them with their eye muscles.
And yes, rolling their eyes can happen when they are annoyed or disinterested.
But do be on alert if your cat is excessively rolling their eyes or showing other abnormal eye movements, as it could be a sign of a bigger health issue.
However, there is also a chance that another eye movement could mimic eye rolling, such as half-closed eyes, wide-eyed staring, or a squinting or narrowing gaze.
It could also be the kitty's eyes following movement, appearing to be a roll. This is part of their natural hunting instincts.

This Viral Cat Video Is Peak Feline SassCats are known for often displaying some attitude, but this Tabby may take home the top prize for this eye roll in this viral cat video.
There are a lot of other ways the kitty could have displayed his attitude, such as raising his tail or meowing, purring, hissing, and growling.
But instead, he gave us that glorious eye roll, and it made our day!

This Rescue Dog Once Hid From Everyone Under Cars—Now Watch Her at the Beach
Niall Harbison treats the dogs he saves through his Thailand animal rescue, Happy Doggo, like royalty. Providing food and health care for these precious pooches, Harbison also gives them unlimited love and affection, along with some special field trips.
Curly the canine cutie was recently brought to Happy Doggo and whisked away to her own seaside adventure.
The Instagram video from @wearehappydoggo gave some details on Curly's background, showing how she protected herself after being pushed out of a street dog pack.
"Curly lived her whole life on the streets until recently," the caption explained. "We found Curly hiding under cars to escape bigger dogs. She deserved better than a life spent in the shadows, so we brought her to Happy Doggo Land."
Named for the adorable curl on her tail, Curly was found cowering under vehicles after a previous attack by other dogs. The fur baby was known for her happy and carefree disposition, which dramatically changed after the traumatizing event. Harbison knew Curly needed his help and brought her to his sanctuary for some much-needed healing.
Under the tender care of Harbison and his Happy Doggo team, Curly slowly got the spring back in her step and found her joy again.
Curly's First Beach TripHarbison planned an extra special day for Curly, where she experienced her very first time at the beach. The video captured her pure joy of feeling the sand on her paws and the ocean breeze on her face.
"Today was her first trip to the beach, and watching her running on the sand is everything," the story continued. "She’s safe now, but she’s still waiting for the most important part of her journey… A forever home."
Curly is available for adoption and would make a wonderful addition to a loving family.

Safari Boat Spots ‘Moto Moto’ the Hippo in the Wild—and He’s Definitely Big and Chunky
Madagascar is my second-favorite movie franchise ever, second only to Shrek, of course. And just like with Shrek, my favorite Madagascar movie is the second one: Madagascar 2: Escape 2 Africa! It has the best soundtrack, the best visuals, and Moto Moto, who's hilarious.
Recently, one safari boat actually spotted a huge Hippo out in the wild who looks exactly like Moto Moto. He's big, chunky, and probably a huge hip with the rest of the lady Hippos:
@jackykarwathovaI think moto moto likes me 😅🦛 This was such a crazy experience in Chobe National Park! And yes, everyone was safe lol #hippo #chobenationalpark #botswana #motomoto #boatride
♬ original sound - clips_AhoyI think Moto Moto likes @jackykarwathova! He was just minding his own business when the boat passed by: this is something animals along popular safari routes will often get used to, but occasionally, something will set them off. That's exactly what happened here.
The Hippo stood up, like, "Don't get any closer!" Despite the fact that it looks like a Hippo would be really fun to pet, you definitely shouldn't. Even if he looks like Moto Moto... Which is on-brand, honestly. If you've seen the movie, you know that Moto Moto wasn't very nice.
Related: Shy Manatee Showing Everyone Her Favorite Rock Has Aquarium-Goers in Tears
This safari didn't just include a slightly scary encounter with a Hippopotamus, though. Jacky also got to see some elephants, and they look even cooler than that Moto Moto lookalike!
@jackykarwathovaThis is NOT how I thought this budget safari would go… 😳 I found the cheapest safari of my entire trip in Chobe, Botswana… and somehow it ended up being the best one. Almost no crowds, just us, and some of the most unreal wildlife I’ve ever seen! And the craziest part? It’s right next to Victoria Falls, and hardly anyone goes (totally doable as a day trip btw!) I’m traveling across Africa using public transportation as a solo female traveler and this is part 23… but we’re just getting started! 🫶🏼 Follow along if you’re coming with me. #visitbotswana #africatravel #solofemaletravel #budgetsafari #chobenationalpark
♬ original sound - Jacky KarwáthováI'm a little too scared to go on a safari myself, but I'll never get enough of watching videos of them. Maybe one day, I'll work up the courage!
Hippos Are Super DangerousThis is a fun and cool video, but it's important to know that you need to be on your best behavior if there are Hippos around. They might be huge, but they can move very quickly, especially underwater. You can even see the Hippo in the video going under and appearing again, much closer to the boat.
Two Hippos in the water together.Image via Shutterstock / Martin Pelanek
If you spot a Hippo in the wild and it's coming toward you, first of all, hopefully you're on a safari with an experienced guide. If not, however, you should:
- Start running.
- Seek higher ground.
- Climb a tree.
- Call for help.
Hippos are fast, but they can't climb skinny structures, like trees. Getting up high is the only real way to keep yourself safe in this situation. You should also always make sure to try not to get too close!

These Dogs Treat the Daycare Bus Like a Fashion Week Runway
Before I had my Corgi, I had no idea about all the ways daycare could help her become a better version of herself. Between socializing with other dogs, enjoying much-needed playtime with friends while I worked, and getting time outside of the house, it's one thing that helped my girl's anxiety and overall well-being.
So, when I come across a bus driver picking up pups for doggy daycare, I'm all in, no questions asked—and this time, they're practicing their model strut as they board. In case you need a daily dose of cuteness, this will do it!
@ashluv73 ♬ âm thanh gốc - ashluv73 - ashluv73All the thanks go to @ashluv73 for sharing this sugary-sweet goodness that happens on the Mo Mountain Mutts daycare bus in Skagway, Alaska, because I'm obsessed! Giving each dog their time in the spotlight to show off their adorable coats, clothes, and even one fella with a tie (I see you, cutie!), is the purest thing on the web, and I wish there were more content like this 24/7/365.
Related: Basset Hound Sees Video of Himself at Day Care and Pure Hilarity Ensues
With so many angels, we couldn't pick a favorite dog—that just wouldn't be right. Instead, here's another look at some of the fun adventures these pooches get to go on when they board the fun train.
Side note: I SO wish we had this kind of thing when my girl attended doggy daycare. Although, I may have quit my job to ride along each day...
@ashluv73 ♬ âm thanh gốc - ashluv73 - ashluv73 The Benefits of Doggy DaycareNot every dog likes going to daycare, (and that's fine), but for those who do, it's an incredible thing for them and you.
Along with improved confidence from regular, consistent socialization in a safe and supervised environment, they get physical activity through lots of playtime and movement. They also get mental stimulation and benefits from less anxiety while hanging out with other dogs instead of being home alone all day.
Daycare is a really good option for parents with reactive dogs and those in need of a routine. And because a lot of these facilities offer training, daycare can teach them how to behave with other pups while having fun. Many of these places offer enrichment activities, which can help cut down on boredom and destructive behavior when they return home.
If you have a place like the one we took our girl to, there might be add-on options, like grooming, which comes in clutch if you're a working parent trying to get all the things done. Whether your dog tries out daycare or not, I'll be over here watching all these videos. If you need a reason to smile, I suggest you do the same!

Foster Kitten Discovers Toys for the First Time and Doesn’t Know What To Do First
There's nothing sweeter than a kitten playing with toys... except when it's a foster kitten playing with toys for the first time... ever.
This tiny kitty just doesn't know what to do first. Take a look at what kitten cuteness overload looks like.
@michelleski19The kittens are loving all the fun toys and enrichment opportunities in the foster room #fosterkittens #kittenrescue #kittensoftiktok #kittentok #kittenlove
♬ original sound - Michelle@michelleski19 shared a TikTok clip of a tiny gray-and-white foster kitten rolling around in a bin packed with toys, and the reaction is immediate. He’s grabbing one, then another, then something crinkly catches his attention, then a bell, then a fuzzy ball—and it just keeps escalating.
There's no plan. There's no system. There's only chaos.
Related: Darling British Shorthair Kitten Is an iPad Kid and It’s So Real
And honestly… it feels relatable.
Viewers Were Fully Invested:• “He’s got gadgets and gizmos a plenty.”
• “Watching this as my cat plays with a receipt.”
• “Fuzzy ball?? Wait, crinkle pizza??? Wait, bell ball?????? Wait, springies?!?!?”
• “All of this and then at some point a discarded bread tie will be [his] favorite toy 😅.”
• “Cut to next week when [his] favorite toy is an old toilet paper roll.”
• “This is so stinking cute.”
That second comment really says it all.
Because you can buy every toy in the world… and your cat will still choose something from the trash like it’s a personal statement.
My Calico, Elvis, would ignore 90% of this bin and then become emotionally attached to one extremely specific item for reasons she will not explain.
Why Kittens React Like This to New Toys @04051993_ ♬ Just a Cloud Away - Pharrell WilliamsWhen kittens encounter enrichment for the first time, it’s a lot to take in.
• Everything is new, so every object feels exciting.
• Movement, sound, and texture all trigger play instincts.
• Kittens don’t prioritize—they just try everything.
• Their curiosity drives rapid, chaotic exploration.
• Play is how they learn coordination and hunting behaviors.
So yes, it looks like chaos… but it’s actually development happening in real time.
How To Set up a Kitten-Friendly Play SpaceYou don’t need a full toy bin (but it helps).
• Offer a mix of textures, like soft, crinkly, and bouncy toys.
• Rotate toys to keep things interesting.
• Include safe, lightweight items that kittens can bat and chase.
• Provide space for rolling, pouncing, and climbing.
• Don’t underestimate “found objects” like paper rolls or twist ties (safely supervised).
Because at the end of the day…
The most expensive toy in the room is still competing with a piece of cardboard.

Rare Blue Tortie Maine Coon Kitten’s Nose Stripe Is Seriously Mesmerizing
If there's one thing I love more than anything in the world, it's a rare, super cool cat. Bonus points if they're fluffy and their "name" sounds cool, too! I love all cats, but if I could choose any cat in the world for a pet, I think I want a cool one.
There's one Maine Coon cat on TikTok who definitely checks off all of my boxes. She's a rare, beautiful color, and to boot, she has an adorable stripe on her nose. You just have to see her for yourself:

- Fluffy ears.
- A very pronounced, angular face.
- An almost perfectly straight stripe down her nose.
Most catteries don't name their cats unless theyre planning to keep them, and Skye looks pretty big already! I think it's safe to say that she's definitely in her forever home.
Related: This Massive White Maine Coon’s Tail Makes Her Look Like a Dragon
Skye is definitely the prettiest Maine Coon that East Maines (and possibly any cattery, literally ever) has to offer, but all of them are precious. They're also Maine Coons, which means they love getting in trouble whenever they can:

♬ why? why? Exciting cute BGM - NaruIDEASweaters are the best. This one was especially well-positioned to catch some "stray" kittens, since it was in a nice puddle of natural light. There's nothing a cat loves more than some natural light!
What Makes a Blue Tortie Maine Coon?Blue Tortie Maine Coons, or "Blue Smoke Tortoiseshell" Maine Coons, are super rare. Typically, you'll find one or the other, but almost never both! Skye is exceptional.
A Blue Smoke Maine Coon sitting outside.Image via Shutterstock / Tattiliana
Blue Smoke Maine Coons are a light grey color with a slightly blue hue, and because of their "Smoke" pattern, their fur is darker at the base and loses pigment toward the tip.
That lends itself well to being mixed with Tortoiseshell coloring, which causes additional patchwork in their coat. When you mix them together, you get a sweet, loving cat with the coolest blue/grey/orange splatter! It doesn't get better than them.

This Cockatoo Knows Exactly What the Camera Is—and He 'Asks' To Be Filmed
Cockatoos are one of the few animals on Earth who can make “wanting attention” feel like a full creative direction. They're dramatic, funny, suspiciously self-aware, and almost always one good reaction away from deciding they should have their own show. So the second a Cockatoo starts signaling that he wants the camera on him, it doesn't even feel far-fetched. It feels like a bird finally taking control of his brand. Cockatoos are widely known for being highly social, intelligent, and expressive.
That bird is Furby.
@furbythebirbFurby wanted to be recorded #furbythebirb #bestfriend #cockatoo #parrot #petbird
♬ original sound - Furby the BirbIn the video, his person says they were watching the evening news when Furby decided he wanted to be recorded. And once you watch it, there's really no arguing with that description. He's not randomly making noise in the background. He's engaging. Performing. Very clearly putting himself into the scene like someone who knows the lens is where the good stuff happens.
The post caption says it plainly: Furby wanted to be recorded.
And honestly, yes.
Of course he did.
What makes the whole clip so funny is that Furby already acts like a bird with an audience. He has plenty of videos, plenty of fans, and apparently enough self-confidence to know when his close-up should begin. One comment says, “I love the inflection in Furby’s voice when he says ‘Hiiiiiii’ and the little beak clicks 🤣😂💕💕💕,” which is exactly the kind of detail that turns a cute bird video into something people replay three times in a row.
Because it's not just that he vocalizes.
It's the delivery.
The attitude.
View this post on InstagramThe little beak click punctuation is like he knows how to land a line.
Furby doesn't feel like a pet accidentally caught doing something funny. He feels like a tiny red carpet menace who fully understands that cameras mean attention, attention means fun, and he would now like to proceed accordingly.
And maybe that's the real magic of Cockatoos. They don't merely exist in a room. They occupy it. Furby is not asking to be filmed because he's confused. He's asking because he has content.
How Intelligent Are Cockatoos?Very. Research and expert commentary on Parrot cognition consistently point to Cockatoos as highly intelligent problem solvers, and Lafeber notes that studies on Cockatoo tool use, vocal learning, and social behavior continue to underline just how cognitively impressive these birds are.
That intelligence also shows up in everyday life. Birds like Furby learn patterns fast, connect words and reactions, and often become very aware of the routines that get them attention.
Furby didn't just want to be filmed. He knew exactly what being filmed could do for his career.

'Diluted' Tortie Ragdoll With Unique Golden 'Face Paint' Is a Furry Feline Goddess
With more than 300 color combinations officially recognized in cats, it seems nearly impossible to have seen them all. Even the slightest variation can be the difference between a common-looking kitty and one who's striking in their rarity.
One such gal is a Ragdoll named Blondie, and her unique makeup palette is the perfect blend of Tortoiseshell swirl mixed with her own brand of "diluted" golden-goddess energy. If you think you've seen it all, wait until you see this girl!
View this post on InstagramAt first glance, Blondie might resemble a million other Ragdolls. She has the softest, fluffiest "bunny" fur and pretty gold-and-gray colors painted on her face. But this beauty is unlike the rest, thanks to her "diluted" tint, which takes a DNA village to create—she's that special!
By the looks of it, Blondie isn't only gorgeous, but also docile, friendly, and easygoing, as veterinarian Lindsay Butzer shows her off to the world. Much like marshmallow-toasted Ragdoll kitties everywhere, Blondie's also a good sport while being handled, proving she's the whole package!
So what's the difference between Blondie and other Tortoiseshell Ragdolls?
Related: Ragdoll Cat Goes Viral for Her Jaw-Dropping Amount of Fluff—and Experts Explain Why
To fully understand why Blondie is so special, let's compare her colors to another internet kitty named Lyric, because this pretty princess isn't the average cat either!
Lyric was blessed with Tortie colors—a bicolor to be exact—and every mark on her fur is unique to her. There are no copies or repeats, as her mom says, and she's literally her own masterpiece.
Like Blondie, Lyric's envy-worthy "face paint" is breathtaking, but hers is *not* diluted.
@ragsandfluffnot your average ragdoll… this is Lyric 😭 torti bicolor = every marking is one of one… no copies, no repeats. she’s literally her own masterpiece #ragdollcat #tortieragdoll #fyp
♬ original sound - Rags&Fluff What Causes a 'Diluted' Tortie Palette?Like Flame Point cats, diluted Tortie Ragdoll kitties are considered so rare (and highly sought after, like a pot of gold) because it takes a distinct and uncommon genetic combination to create their colors.
Both parents have to carry a "dilute" gene, which means the black and orange from "Tortoiseshell" have to mix with the dilution gene to soften the colors into a pastel, faded cream and blue-gray. With such a complex DNA chain, most Ragdolls with this specific color blend are female.
However Blondie (and Lyric, for that matter) came to be in the world with that one-of-a-kind look, we're all the better for it!

So Do Shih-Tzus Require a Lot of Grooming? @titothepintsizedshihtzuIs that me hand feeding my senior Shih-Tzu dinner? No. It is not. Nothing to see here. 👀🐶🤣 #shihtzusoftiktok #shihtzu #rescuedog #adoptdontshop
♬ original sound - Mary and TitoShort answer: yes. But also… if the result is George, it might be worth it.
• Shih-Tzus have long, continuously growing hair that needs regular brushing to prevent tangles.
• Daily or frequent grooming helps keep their coat smooth and manageable.
• Many pet parents opt for trims or “puppy cuts” to make maintenance easier.
• Regular baths are important to keep the coat clean and healthy.
• Their facial hair, especially around the eyes, needs extra attention.
• Professional grooming is often part of the routine for this breed.
• And yes, sometimes you have to commit to the look, like George here.
Because while not every Shih-Tzu will end up looking like a tiny '80s rock fan with a side part…
It’s nice to know the option is there.

Golden Retriever Who 'Thinks He's Being Included' by the Other Dogs Is Breaking Our Hearts
My Pug mix can be a bit socially awkward. He's clumsy and has no sense of personal space, attributes that I find totally adorable. Still, other dogs sense his insecurities and tend to either try to intimidate him or give him the cold shoulder despite his efforts to be one of the gang. Thankfully, his older Doxie sister always has his back and is his full-time BFF.
Sailor the Golden Retriever seems to have the same desire to fit in and is so tender-hearted that he doesn't even realize when he's being pushed out of the crowd.
@sailorthenycgoldenHe just bunny hops around them😭😂 #nycdogs #goldenretriever #dogsoftiktok #fyp #cutedog
♬ original sound - Vids - AesiraIn the TikTok from @sailorthenycgolden, the canine cutie was at a local dog park with several other dogs of various breeds. Sailor kept trying to infiltrate a group of three playful pooches who seemed busy with their own sort of roughhousing game.
As the canine trio jumped on each other and scurried around, Sailor hopped around on the periphery of the circle, attempting to join in. Whether the three dogs were purposely keeping him out of the game or just didn't notice he couldn't get a paw in was unclear.
Even when the threesome ran in a different area, Sailor followed them with total enthusiasm. The gorgeous Golden was under the impression that he was a part of the game, making the scene even more heartbreaking.
"My sweet boy always wants to play and thinks he's being included but he's not," the onscreen text shared, with the caption adding, "He just bunny hops around them."
Followers fell in love with Sailor's sweet spirit and empathized with being excluded.
"He just needs to find HIS true friends," one remarked.
"Oh bless him. He is gorgeous. My dog would play with him," another raved.
"I've felt like him my whole life — please hug him tonight," a follower posted.
"I hope after this, you gave him the BIGGEST cuddles ever," someone commented.
How Golden Retrievers SocializeGolden Retrievers are known for their friendly and loving personalities. They thrive in social settings and love to play with people and other dogs.

With his friendly spirit and gentle heart, Sailor is sure to find plenty of fur baby friends of his own.

Humongous Rare Shepherd's Shaggy Haircut Makes Him Look Straight Out of a Fantasy Movie
With so many dog breeds in the world, you might wonder what it takes to get that "rare" status. It can be something as trivial as fur coloring or as noteworthy as an interesting job they're bred for, and for some, it's all about size.
A Shepherd named Major is among one of the rarest breeds known for looking like gargantuan and fantastical pups you might see in fiction. But there's one important thing that sets him apart from others in his lane. Hint: it makes him all the more lovable!
@traceebingsMajor turns ONE in 3days🥺🥳🍰 Loved you for 10 months already🥹 #caucasianshepherd #largebreed #guarddog #ovcharka #major🐾🖤 @TristanBings10
♬ original sound - Nhour Ain_🤎 - 𝓝 ᥫ᭡.At the time of the montage post shared by Major's mom, Tracee (via @traceebings), the Caucasian Shepherd Dog was about to celebrate his first birthday. As you can see already, the rare dog is large and in charge with the cutest shaggy hair you'd spot in a cartoon movie (and proud of it)!
Even as a puppy, Major's distinguishable wispy hair has a dark and light contrast and floppy ears that are to die for!
Related: Rare Mammoth-Sized Dog Who's Worth Thousands Looks Like the Cowardly Lion
He celebrated his birthday in the best way, filled with all Major's favorite things. Reaching a year old means he's just about 20% away from his full size. Tack on a bit more weight and height, and Major will thwart any potential intruders with his size alone... as long as he isn't the happy, smiling pup as seen in all his posts!
@traceebingsHappy 1st Birthday to my baby Major🐶🐾🎂🦴 #caucasianshepherd #largebreed #guarddog #ovcharka #major🐾🖤 @TristanBings10
♬ original sound - Rochelle J. How Big Do Caucasian Shepherd Dogs Get?As one of the biggest, most ancient breeds, Caucasian Shepherd Dogs are massive pups who can grow to be more than 170 pounds and 30+ inches tall at the shoulder for females, and males could rival grown human men, weighing upward of 220 pounds or more! They'll hit all the major growth milestones in the first year, making them some colossal-looking puppies.
Just looking at one of the powerful, giant breed dogs, you can tell they're built with solid muscle, thick bones, and a dense, heavy double coat that can withstand all kinds of weather.
Bred for centuries as guardians of livestock, this type of Shepherd isn't for the novice dog parent. Described as bold, fierce, and confident, these intensely loyal pups don't take kindly to any perceived threats, but they're loving companions to their families, including other pets.
That said, if I came across a good boy like Major, I'd completely forget how domineering/intimidating this breed can be because he sure is adorable!

Farm Cat Chews on a Chicken’s Feet Like They're a Sweet Treat
You know those moments where a cat has a thought… and instead of ignoring it, fully commits? This is one of those.
Because at no point should a chicken’s foot look like a snack, and yet here we are.
@wallflour6 ♬ original sound - your preferred nameTikTok user @wallflour6 shared a clip from a farm where a gray cat spots a chicken perched just above him and decides to investigate in the most questionable way possible.
Instead of just watching like a normal kitty, he reaches up and tries to gnaw on the chicken’s foot like it’s a casual little treat. The chicken, understandably, isn't interested and immediately pulls it away, like, absolutely not.
Related: Tabby Cat Hugs His Chicken Bestie Like He Never Wants To Let Go
It’s quick, it’s chaotic, and it feels like a decision that was made with zero long-term planning.
Viewers had a lot to say about it:
• “He just wanted a chicken finger.”
• “Is this a sweet treat?”
• “Not the little sample taste.”
• “Cats like, ‘I’ve never had it this fresh before.’”
• “Chicken said. ‘I’m still using these.’”
• “These chicken fingers are way undercooked.”
• “Intrusive thoughts taking over.”
Honestly, the confidence is what makes it. He didn’t hesitate. He saw the foot and thought, yes, that seems like something I should try.
My Maine Coon, Meatball, would absolutely consider this and then get distracted halfway through and walk away, as if nothing happened. Which is probably for the best.
What Do Farm Cats Do? @hidden_spring_farmHow Our Barn Cats Start Their Day #barncats #farmcats #theclawcrew
♬ original sound - Hidden Spring FarmFarm cats live a slightly different life than indoor cats, and moments like this are kind of proof.
• They help control rodent populations by hunting mice and other small pests.
• They often roam freely and explore barns, fields, and outbuildings.
• Farm cats tend to be more independent and self-sufficient animals.
• They interact with other farm animals in unpredictable ways… clearly.
• Their curiosity can lead to some very questionable decisions.
• They’re still cats at the end of the day, which means chaos is always a possibility.
So while most farm cats are busy doing actual useful work…
Every now and then, one decides to try a chicken foot just to see what happens.
And honestly, you kind of have to respect the curiosity.

Family Is Frantic When Dog Goes Missing—Then They Find Her With an Unexpected Friend
There are few things that turn a normal day into instant panic faster than realizing your dogis missing.
Not “maybe she’s in the other room” missing.
Not “check behind the couch” missing.
The kind of missing where your stomach drops, your brain gets loud, and suddenly every worst-case scenario starts lining up like it paid admission.
@pollyequestrian_They were just chilling like besties 🤣 #equine #equestrianlife #horse #dog #puppy
♬ original sound - alexThat is exactly the setup here.
The video opens with a close-up of the sweetest horse nose imaginable, which is already a strong start, but then the caption drops the real story: They lost their dog and found her here half an hour later. The camera pans down, and there she is, tucked inside the horse’s pen, like this was the obvious place to spend her unauthorized adventure.
And honestly, once you see it, it kind of is.
The clip begins with full family panic and ends with a dog who appears to have quietly joined a horse support group without telling anyone. She's not hiding under a porch. She's not sprinting across a highway. She's in the pen, hanging out with an unexpected friend, as if she took one look around the world, made a choice, and said, yes, I will be spending my unsupervised time with this large, gentle roommate.
One comment says, “Omg... this has happened to me, too... looked everywhere, etc., back to stable where I started... AND she was there ☺️” which somehow makes the whole thing even funnier. Full panic. Full neighborhood search. Everyone yelling the dog’s name like the world is ending. Meanwhile, the pooch has been somewhere weirdly wholesome the entire time.
The emotional swing is perfect. First, fear. Then confusion. Then relief, so huge it turns into laughter. The horse nose reveal helps, too, because it gives the whole thing this accidental cinematic quality. It's like the video knows exactly how to pace itself for maximum emotional damage and then maximum sweetness.
And beneath the comedy, there's something genuinely touching about where the dog chose to be. Animals find comfort in all kinds of places, and every now and then, those places come with hooves. This dog was missing, yes, but she was also apparently in good company.
That matters.
Because once everybody has calmed down and your pulse returns to human levels, what you are left with is not just relief. You are left with a story. A lost dog. A horse pen. A reunion with a side plot nobody saw coming.
What To Do First When Your Dog Goes MissingThe AKC says the first hours matter, and the club recommends quickly contacting local animal control, shelters, and humane societies, while providing a current photo and accurate description of your dog. The AKC also recommends reporting the dog missing to your microchip registry right away and using lost-pet alerts if available.
It also helps to search the places your pup already knows and likes before assuming they have gone too far. Familiar routes, barns, neighbors, and other animals can be surprisingly common choices for a missing dog. In this case, the pup wasn't gone-gone. She was just off having an emotionally rich side quest with a horse.

Adorable Dachshund-Bull Terrier Mix Looks Just Like 'A Rectangle With Legs'
My senior dog is half Dachshund, half Miniature Pinscher. She leans more to the Doxie side, boasting a long, thin body that rides close to the ground. Her long, floppy ears and adorable big eyes also reflect her Dachshund heritage, though there are a few glimmers of Min Pin in her black and gold markings.
Frankie is a rare mix of Dachshund and Bull Terrier, giving her a very unique look that could make you do a double-take.

Covered in white fur except for a big brown splotch adorning her left eye area and ear, Frankie was small but boasted a bulky build.
Some tan spots dotted her sweet, bright pink nose. Frankie has pale blue-green eyes with a few gold patches on her left eye, creating a striking color burst. Her short height was all Doxie, and she beautifully represented low riders.
Frankie clearly had a playful and loving personality, which radiated from her gentle expression and wagging tail. Followers fell in love with Frankie, with some commenting on her her buxom physique.
"That is what you call an Alaskan bull worm," one remarked.
"Looks like a rectangle with legs," another pointed out.
"Forget the sausage, she’s the whole ham," a follower posted.
"I’m gonna keep it real — I've never seen a dog like that in my 15 years of living," someone shared.
"She is the cutest loaf of French bread I've ever seen," a fan gushed.
Are 'Bullweenies' Rare?Dachshunds are a popular breed due to their small size and loving personality. While Doxies are often mixed with Chihuahuas or Beagles, the Bullweenie isn't as common.

These crossbreeds usually have the height and length of a Dachshund with a much bigger build. Their head and snout tends to be larger as well, and they have a very sweet and friendly demeanor. Bullweenies have contrasting features that result in one of the most unique-looking mixes.
Frankie is an adorable representation of this eye-catching canine blend.

This Massive White Maine Coon’s Tail Makes Her Look Like a Dragon
Maine Coons are easily one of the longest cats ever. They have huge, fluffy bodies, coupled with equally long and fluffy tails. When you watch these amazing cats move, it's completely mesmerizing.
Just look at this one. During her supervised outside time, this white Maine Coon was walking through the trees, and she literally looked like a fluffy cloud dragon. She's perfect in every way:

All three of these cats are indoor-only cats, but Maine Coons are adventurous. Cloud got out! She's lucky her dad spotted her in time, or she might've gotten lost. In this scenario, though, she was definitely pretty easy to spot.

Maine Coons Are Curious CatsIf you have a Maine Coon, there are three things you're going to need to get used to: never having personal space again, a lot of fur everywhere, and a cat who loves adventure.

Maine Coons are social, outgoing cats who are usually open-minded in new situations. They need a lot of enrichment to keep them from getting bored. There are lots of ways for them to get it, like:
- Having interactive toys.
- Playtime with you.
- Real adventures, like going outdoors, to stores, or even just in the car.
Cloud apparently likes to steal her enrichment time. Makes perfect sense!

Blind Cat’s Journey After Being Left Behind Feels Different by the End
At first, it’s hard to watch. Not because anything dramatic is happening—but because you can feel how overwhelmed he is.
A black-and-white cat named Lucky sits tense and unsure, reacting to every sound like it might be something he needs to defend himself from. And when you realize he can’t see what’s around him, it shifts everything. Of course, he’s scared. Of course, he’s reacting this way.
@uncleneilshomeAfter 4 years with the only family he ever knew, Lucky was abandoned by them at the shelter. He is blind, so everything and everyone felt like a threat. Imagine new sounds, new smells, loud noises, chaos, and imagine not being able to see what’s happening around you. That’s how Lucky felt. He was almost 3u+h@nized, until we said YES to giving him a chance. A once terrified and overwhelmed cat melted into the sweet, gentle boy who he really is. Lucky is heading into foster tomorrow night, and we could really use your help caring for him, vetting him, and helping him trust humans again. We’re told that Lucky has seizures once every few months. We’re going to get him vetted and schedule a neurologist consult ASAP. But that’s not where the story ends.

♬ original sound - dear.figg Why Blind Cats Can Seem Aggressive at FirstWhat looks like aggression is often just fear and confusion.
• Blind cats rely heavily on sound and scent to understand their environment.
• Sudden noises or unexpected touch can feel threatening.
• New environments are especially overwhelming without visual cues.
• Defensive behavior is a way of protecting themselves.
• With time, routine, and patience, many blind cats become incredibly affectionate.
Once they feel safe, their personalities really start to come through.
How To Support a Blind Cat Adjusting to a New Home @jacksongalaxyDo you have a blind cat? Here are 3 tips on how you can play with them! #blindcat #blindcats #blindcatsoftiktok #blindcatsrock
♬ Christmas Kids - RoarHelping a blind cat settle in is about creating consistency and trust.
• Keep their environment stable so they can learn where everything is.
• Use your voice to signal your presence before touching them.
• Move slowly and avoid sudden changes around them.
• Provide soft, predictable spaces where they can relax.
• Be patient—trust builds over time, not all at once.
Kitties like Lucky don’t just “get better.”
They remember what it feels like to be safe—and that’s when everything changes.
