Fans Beg Amazon to 'Cancel' Movie Over Colleen Hoover News
Amazon MGM Studios gave romance readers a reason to celebrate on June 29, announcing a film adaptation of Ali Hazelwood's bestselling novel "Love, Theoretically." But within hours, the celebration turned into a fight.
The rouble? One name buried in the producer credits,Colleen Hoover.
The "It Ends With Us" author will produce the adaptation through her Heartbones Entertainment, alongside partner Lauren Levine, according to Deadline, which reported that Amazon MGM landed the film rights to Hazelwood's novel with "Along for the Ride" filmmaker Sofia Alvarez directing and adapting the screenplay. Hazelwood will executive produce alongside Alvarez. Despite that pedigree, readers online zeroed in on Hoover.
Fans of Hazelwood's novel flooded social media demanding Amazon cut ties with Hoover, resurfacing old grievances about her work and her family. Critics pointed specifically to a years-old controversy involving Hoover's eldest son, Levi, who was accused by an X user in February 2022 of harassing her while she was a minor (Hoover has denied the allegations). Others focused on her books themselves, arguing that titles like "It Ends With Us" and "Verity" blur the line between romance and abuse in ways they don't want anywhere near a Hazelwood adaptation.
The reaction spread fast across X and TikTok, with posters calling the pairing "cursed" and asking Hazelwood directly why she'd allow it. Some worried the backlash could bleed into the film's reception before a single frame is shot.

Hoover's producing history complicates the picture. Her company already has a deal with Amazon MGM on "Verity," her own psychological thriller starring Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett, due in theaters October 2. Heartbones also produced "Reminders of Him," which made $89 million worldwide against a $25 million budget after opening in theaters in March. Commercially, Hoover's involvement is a vote of confidence. But to a segment of Hazelwood's fandom, it's exactly the opposite.
For her part, Hazelwood is staying close to the project as executive producer, which some fans have taken as reassurance that her voice will guide the adaptation regardless of who else is in the room. Director Sofia Alvarez, whose credits include both "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" films, is writing the screenplay, giving her significant creative control over how faithfully the physicists-turned-fake-daters story translates to screen.
"Love, Theoretically" arrives as Amazon doubles down on romance adaptations. The studio's take on Hazelwood's debut novel, "The Love Hypothesis," starring Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman, premieres on Prime Video September 23, giving fans an early gauge of how the streamer is handling her work before this second project moves forward. No cast has been announced for "Love, Theoretically," and no release date has been set.

1973 Led Zeppelin Folk Rock Anthem Inspired by Literary Great
"Over the Hills and Far Away" is a beloved folk rock song by Led Zeppelin. Despite its heavy sound, the song has surprisingly gentle influences.
Frontman Robert Plant was a well-noted fan of British novelist J.R.R. Tolkien. He often turned to his work, including The Hobbit, for lyrical inspiration.
Tolkien wrote a poem in 1915 called Over the Hills and Far Away, and while he took no lines other than the title, it's clear the piece offered the iconic frontman inspiration. Both the poem and the song speak to larger themes of wanderlust and pay tribute to having an adventurous spirit.
Robert Plant was born in the Black Country, a region in England just north of Birmingham. This is also where Tolkien was raised in the 1890s, and the rolling hills and small villages clearly inspired many of the settings of his writing.
"Over the Hills and Far Away" was written by Plant and guitarist Jimmy Page in 1970 at Bron-Yr-Aur, a small cottage in Wales where they stayed after completing a gruelling North American concert tour.
"We'd been working solidly right up to that point. Even recordings were done on the road," Page told Uncut in 2009. "We had this time off and Robert suggested the cottage. I certainly hadn't been to that area of Wales. So we took our guitars down there and played a few bits and pieces. This wonderful countryside, panoramic views and having the guitars. ... It was just an automatic thing to be playing, and we started writing."
Led Zepellin fans can find Middle Earth and Tolkien inspiration peppered throughout their work. Songs like "Ramble On," "Misty Mountain Hop," and "The Battle of Evermore" all play homage to the classic fantasy author.
American Songwriter noted that the band started performing âOver the Hills and Far Awayâ live in 1972, but it wouldnât be released until March 1973.
This 70s and 80s R&B Star Is Back Touring All Night Long
Lionel Richie, 77, is returning to the stage and sharing a heartfelt update with fans after being forced to postpone two shows on his Sing a Song All Night Long Tour following an on-stage illness last month.
"Thank you for every message, every kind word, and for all your love," Richie wrote on Instagram on July 4th, sharing photos of himself back performing live. "I'm doing well, and I'm grateful for all of you."
The iconic singer and former member of The Commodores added, "Pittsburgh and Detroit were an absolute joy. The energy, the dancing, the faces in the crowd⊠we made real memories together. See you in Toronto⊠let's party all night long." And yes - I absolutely read that last part in his voice.Â
View this post on InstagramThe health scare began on June 24th when Richie was performing in St. Paul, Minnesota, and started feeling dizzy, cutting the opening night of his tour short just under an hour into the set. Two days later, on doctor's orders, his team announced the postponement of his June 26th Chicago show and June 27th Columbus show.
"Lionel is heartbroken to postpone these two shows and cannot wait to be back to performing for his fans," a statement from Live Nation read at the time.
Richie has not publicly shared any diagnosis or additional details about his illness. However, his Instagram post says everything fans needed to hear: he's well, he's grateful, and he's ready to continue dancing on the ceiling.
With Toronto next on the schedule and Earth, Wind & Fire by his side, it sounds like the Sing a Song All Night Long Tour is back in full swing. Letâs groove tonight.
USA Star Folarin Balogun Available For World Cup Match vs. Belgium After Major FIFA Decision
Folarin Balogun received some good news on Sunday, July 5, ahead of the United States Men's National Team's World Cup round-of-16 match against Belgium.
Balogun was set to serve a one-game suspension after he received a straight red card during the team's game against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday, July 1. But FIFA made the decision to rescind the red card.
"By operation of Article 27 FDC, the implementation of the automatic match suspension for USA player Folarin Balogun is suspended for a probationary period of one [1] year," a statement on FIFA's website read.
U.S. Soccer also released a statement in reaction to the news.
âWe accept the decision of the Disciplinary Committee and are pleased that Folarin Balogun is eligible to compete tomorrow,â they said. âOur full attention is focused on the Round of 16 match against Belgium in Seattle,âŻand we look forward to the continued support of our amazing fans.â
Balogun spoke with reporters ahead of the game before the suspension was lifted regarding the suspension.
"It's been a roller coaster. There's been lots of different emotions," Balogun said. "I've been upset. I've been happy. It's been surreal, to be honest. But for me, I think it was just important to stay calm. I never want to react out of anger and out of emotion. There's still lots of people we're inspiring, little kids, boys and girls who are watching, and we have to show them the correct way to handle things even when you think it's unjust.
"So I felt I did that. And as I said, I'm happy with the support, not just I'm receiving, but the team. And I think we're all looking forward to seeing what we can do against Belgium."
A win over Belgium will earn the United States a spot in the quarterfinals, which would mark its first time since 2002.
Taylor Swift Fans Outside Madison Square Garden Seemingly Walked Away With This Unexpected Souvenir
Taylor Swift's wedding may have been an invitation-only affair, but a handful of fans outside Madison Square Garden seemingly managed to leave with what they believe was a tiny piece of the celebration.
Videos circulating on social media Saturday showed Swifties gathered outside the iconic venue on Friday, July 3, surrounding a white van labeled "SP Bakery Distributors Inc." While there's no confirmed connection between the bakery vehicle and Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, that didn't stop fans from wondering if it had delivered desserts for the reception.
As the van sat outside, the person recording the videoâwhich was shared to Xâbegan shouting questions at the driver, even asking him to give a thumbs-up if the desserts were chocolate or a thumbs-down if they were vanilla. At one point, someone inside the van held up a pastry box, prompting the individual to yell, "Throw it! I'll catch it!"
đ„| The catering company gave some leftover dessert from the wedding to people waiting outsideđ€§ pic.twitter.com/BA1dDDfbBZ
— Taylor Swift Updates đ (@swifferupdates) July 4, 2026An officer ultimately stepped in and took possession of the box before handing a pastry to one lucky fan (not the person recording, though he did, for the record, ask nicely).
The fan shooting the video did manage to snag one of the desserts and exclaimed, "Oh my God, guys, we're having Taylor Swift dessert!" Whether the pastry actually came from the wedding remains a mystery, but for many fans, the possibility was more than enough.
âif dessert was included i definitely wouldâve made the trip to madison square garden,â one replied to the video.
âthe concept of being able to taste taylorâs actual wedding cake,â another shared.
A third said, âShe literally said let them eat the cake im so jealous.â
Others criticized the fanâs reactions, with one saying, âactually its pretty pathetic to see people standing outside begging for anything.â
âsheâs treating her fans like stray dogs,â another noted.
Inside Madison Square Garden, however, there was no shortage of confirmed memorable moments. Music legends Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks reportedly surprised guests with special performances during the reception, while the couple also put a personal spin on tradition. Rather than choosing a maid of honor, Swift reportedly asked her younger brother, Austin Swift, to serve as her "man of honor," while Kelceâs older brother, Jason Kelce, was his best man. According to reports, actor Adam Sandleralso officiated the ceremony.
Madison Square Garden itself confirmed the marriage during the celebration, illuminating its digital signage with the message "JUST&T MARRIED!" as guests partied inside.

Does Nivea Creme Actually Reduce Wrinkles? We Asked Skincare Experts To Find Out
Nivea has been around since 1911, and the iconic blue tin of Nivea Creme was introduced in 1925; the formula and the packaging have changed very little since. That kind of staying power is rareâespecially in the beauty industry. Devotees of Nivea Creme applaud the beauty staple on social media and swear it keeps their skin soft and smooth and that it helps with wrinkles. But is Nivea Creme a true wrinkle reducer, or is it simply a very good moisturizer?
The answer depends on what you mean by "wrinkle reducer." A good skincare product can do a lot of thingsâhydrate, plump, protect and in some cases actively support collagen production and skin renewalâall of which can help with the appearance of wrinkles, but not necessarily reduce them. Nivea Creme delivers in some categories, but not others, and understanding the difference is key to building a routine with the product that provides results.
To get a clear picture, we asked four skincare experts to weigh in:Dr. Mona Foad, board-certified dermatologist and founder of MONA Dermatology; Dr. Susan Massick, Associate Professor of Dermatology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine; Tiffany M. Rice, NP and DNP and an expert in skincare treatments; and Danielle Louise, a hair and skin expert at Fresha. Here's what they had to say.
Related: We Asked 4 Dermatologists Which Brand New Anti-Aging Product Is Changing the GameâThey All Said the Same Thing
Nivea Creme is not technically a wrinkle treatment, skincare experts explain.
"Nivea can be a very effective moisturizer, but I would not consider it a true wrinkle treatment," says Dr. Foad. "One of the reasons people often feel their skin looks smoother after using it is because it helps improve hydration and reduce water loss from the skin. Well-hydrated skin tends to look plumper, which can temporarily soften the appearance of fine lines."
Rice agrees it's an excellent moisturizer, but not a true wrinkle reducer. "Its primary benefit comes from highly occlusive ingredients that help prevent water loss from the skin. When the skin is well hydrated, fine lines can appear softer and less noticeable, but that is very different from actually reducing wrinkles," she explains.
The distinction between moisturizing and wrinkle reduction is an important one. As Dr. Foad puts it: "I would view it as supportive care rather than a primary anti-aging treatment."

What Skincare Ingredients Actually Reduce Wrinkles? If your goal is to actively reduce wrinkles rather than temporarily soften their appearance, active ingredients are essential. "I typically recommend ingredients that have been shown to support collagen production and skin renewal, such as retinoids, peptides, growth factors and antioxidants," Dr. Foad says.
The best wrinkle reducers contain active ingredients such as retinol, Dr. Massick agrees, explaining, "Less potent would be products that contain bakuchiol. More effective wrinkle reducers contain prescription-strength retinoids such as tretinoin."
Retinoids remain the gold standard because they both stimulate new collagen production and help preserve existing collagen, improving overall skin quality over time, Rice says, sharing, "Daily sunscreen is equally important because it helps prevent the collagen breakdown associated with premature aging."

What Does Nivea Creme Actually Do for Your Skin? What Nivea does well is moisturizeâand that's very important for your skin. "Nivea Creme helps support the skin barrier and lock in moisture," Rice says. "It can leave the skin looking smoother, plumper and more radiant because hydrated skin reflects light better and shows less surface creasing. This temporary plumping effect may make wrinkles appear less noticeable, but it does not address the underlying causes of skin aging."
Nivea can play an important role as a moisturizer within a skincare routine, particularly for those with dry skin, Dr. Foad says. "I would view it as supportive care rather than a primary anti-aging treatment."
The plumping effect that comes from good hydration can temporarily minimize the look of fine lines, which may explain why so many Nivea devotees feel their skin looks better after using it. It's a real effect, just not the same as the structural skin changes that come from retinoids or other active ingredients.

The Viral Glycolic Acid + Nivea Creme Trend, Explained @nabilahshomeNivea Creme & The Ordinary Acid âš #nivea #acid #fyp #viral #dark @NIVEA UK @The Ordinary Store UK
⏠Ma colombe nej - no music sounds đ°đA buzzy skincare pairing on TikTok and Reddit is using glycolic acid toner followed by Nivea Creme.
The appeal makes sense once you understand what each product does.
"Glycolic acid helps exfoliate the surface of the skin, while a rich cream helps seal in moisture and reduce the tight, dry feeling that can sometimes follow exfoliation," says Louise. "When people say their skin looks smoother or more glowy after using the two together, what they are often seeing is the effect of removing dull surface build-up and then immediately cushioning the skin with a rich, occlusive moisturiser."
The trend isn't for everyone, though.
"If your skin is sensitive, rosacea-prone, acne-prone or already irritated, glycolic acid can be too much," Louise cautions.
She also warns against copying the frequency rather than the principle, explaining, "Glycolic acid should be treated as an occasional exfoliating step, not a daily essential. Start slowly, watch how your skin responds, and never ignore stinging, burning, redness or tightness."

What's the Most Effective Way to Actually Reduce Wrinkles? All four experts agree that wrinkle prevention starts long before fine lines appearâand that no cream, drugstore or otherwise, can fully substitute for sun protection.
"The best wrinkle reducer pertains more to decreasing risk factors such as sun exposure and photodamage with consistent UV protection to minimize the harmful effects of UV damage on your skin," Dr. Massick says.
Beyond SPF, the most proven at-home ingredients remain retinoidsâeither OTC retinol for gradual results or prescription-strength tretinoin for more significant changes. Peptides, and antioxidants are also worth prioritizing if anti-aging is a goal.
For more significant improvement, Rice points to collagen-stimulating procedures: "BBL, laser resurfacing, RF microneedling, biostimulatory injectables and regenerative therapies can provide results that moisturizers alone cannot achieve."
Should You Use Nivea Creme in Your Skincare Routine? If you have dry skin and love Nivea, there's no reason to stop.
"If you have dry skin, Nivea Creme can be a great moisturizer. It can improve hydration, support the skin barrier, and temporarily soften the appearance of fine lines," Rice says. "Just keep expectations realistic. It is an effective moisturizer, but it is not a substitute for ingredients or treatments that stimulate collagen production and address the underlying causes of wrinkles."
Nivea's blue tin is less a wrinkle treatment and more a hydrating base that helps the rest of your routine work better, Dr. Foad says, explaining it's an excellent supporting player alongside actives like retinol, SPF and antioxidant serums that are doing more work.

Did This Celebrity Guest Cater Taylor Swift and Travis Kelceâs Wedding?
Because when you're Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, even your caterer is a celebrity. Among the many details emerging from Friday's wedding of the year at Madison Square Garden, one story has Swifties and foodies equally obsessed: did Bradley Cooper help cater the reception?
According to Us Weeklyâs Instagram a truck from Danny and Coop's - his popular Philly cheesesteak spot, co-founded with Philadelphia restaurateur Danny DiGiampietro - was spotted pulling up to MSG just before 10 p.m. The same outlet obtained photos of delivery boxes outside the venue containing lobster meat, fries, onion rings, and multiple kinds of chicken. Quite a humble spread for the most star-studded wedding of 2026.
Cooper and his girlfriendGigi Hadid (a longtime member of the Swift squad) were already confirmed wedding guests, having attended the rehearsal dinner Thursday night before joining approximately 1,000 guests for the main event Friday. So it wouldn't exactly be out of character for Cooper to bring the food. *And napkins.
This isn't even the first time Cooper has shown up to a Kelce event with sandwiches in tow. The Maestro star was previously spotted slinging cheesesteaks at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, and even served one to Travis's mom Donna Kelce at a Las Vegas event in 2024.
Danny and Coop's has not confirmed or denied the catering rumor, but honestly, the idea of Bradley Cooper personally feeding 1,000 of the world's most famous people Philly cheesesteaks at Taylor Swift's wedding is highly appealing - and appetizing.
Iconic '80s Rock Band Performs Classic Song for the First Time in 42 Years
Mötley CrĂŒe gave longtime fans a surprise they had been waiting more than four decades to hear.
The iconic hard rock band dusted off "Take Me to the Top" during the opening night of its Return of the Carnival of Sins tour, marking the song's first live performance in 42 years. Originally released on the band's 1981 debut album, Too Fast for Love, the deep cut hadn't appeared in a Mötley CrĂŒe concert since 1984.
The unexpected performance came as the band launched its 2026 North American tour, celebrating both the 20th anniversary of the original Carnival of Sins trek and Mötley CrĂŒe's 45th anniversary. Fronted by Vince Neil alongside bassist Nikki Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee and guitarist John 5, the group opened the show with "Red Hot," "Louder Than Hell," and "Too Young To Fall In Love" before launching into "Take Me to the Top," giving dedicated fans a rare nod to the band's earliest days.
"We haven't played these songs in a long f*****g time," singer Vince Neil told the crowd.
Written by Nikki Sixx, the song helped establish the raw, streetwise sound that defined Too Fast for Love. While it never became one of the band's biggest radio hits, "Take Me to the Top" developed a devoted following among fans who viewed it as one of the standout tracks from the CrĂŒe's independent-era debut.
Its return to the setlist reflects a broader effort to dig deeper into the band's catalog. Ahead of the tour, Sixx hinted that the group wanted to balance its biggest hits with songs longtime fans hadn't heard in years, noting that the band was looking for opportunities to shake up the setlist with deeper cuts rather than relying solely on familiar singles.
The 2026 set also features staples including "Live Wire," "Shout at the Devil," "Looks That Kill," "Home Sweet Home," "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Dr. Feelgood," but it was the revival of "Take Me to the Top" that generated some of the loudest reactions from longtime concertgoers.
"I love what I'm doing and I wouldn't change for anything," Sixx told The Guardian in 1986. I"'m having a blast and I think the people that give us the respect are the people that I really do care about. That's the fans."
More than 40 years after it last echoed through a Mötley CrĂŒe concert, "Take Me to the Top" has finally reclaimed its place onstage. For fans who have followed the band since its Sunset Strip beginnings, the performance was more than a nostalgic surprise, it was a reminder that even after four decades, Mötley CrĂŒe still has a few tricks left up its sleeve.

The Best 'Black Mirror' Episode, Inspired by a 1987 Rock Song, Was Written in Only 4 Days
âSan Juniperoâ was the fourth episode in season three of Black Mirror, which is currently streaming on Netflix. The episode won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Television Movie and Outstanding Writing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. TV Line also recently named it the best Black Mirror episode.
The episode, which was written by the creator and showrunner Charlie Brooker in four days, was originally going to have an unhappy ending, culminating in a scene that took place in a hospital. However, Brooker told the Daily Beast, âWhen I sat down to actually write it, I was enjoying it so much that I thought, no, I'm going to keep going.â
The ending of the episode was inspired by the 1987 song, âHeaven Is a Place on Earth,â which Brooker immediately knew he wanted to license for the episode. The song, sung by Belinda Carlisle, played at the beginning of the episode and over the ending credits.
When speaking about the inclusion of the song, he told Entertainment Weekly, âI started writing the script, and I put together a Spotify playlist of music from 1987. I go running every so often, and that song came on while I was jogging. I was like, âWell, thatâs gotta go in.â And that basically gave me the ending scene. So one of the first things we did is check if we could clear this song [for use in the episode], and I would have been absolutely distraught if we couldnât have done it."
He continued, "Itâs something weâve done in previous episodes, where we have a story continuing to unfold throughout the end credits, but itâs the only time we do it in this season. It feels like a nice way of adding an extra coda. Itâs also a wry joke in a way that heaven is literally a place on earth, as we reveal the absolute cold reality of whatâs going on. Hopefully, it leaves people with a smile on their face, which is an alien experience after watching Black Mirror.â
When answering questions on Reddit along with executive producer Annabel Jones, he spoke about the fact that the episode resonated so much with the LGBTQ+ community and TV lovers in general. âWe've been delighted by the response to it,â he replied. âWe see it as a universal love story--the fact it's about two women is both significant and insignificant. Significant in that they [SPOILER ALERT!] get married in 1987, which wasn't possible at that time in reality, and that kind of chimed in with the whole theme of reliving your life and exploring possibilities afresh. And insignificant in that it's a love story between two people. So it's been great to see a positive reaction from across the board.â
On This Day in 1978, the Manufacturing of This Famous Rock Album Is Halted Due to Celebrities Featured on the Cover
Go into your record collection and check your vinyl copy of Some Girls - you just might be holding a rare version with discontinued cover art.
On this day (July 5) in 1978, the manufacturing of Some Girls by The Rolling Stones was halted at EMI's pressing plant after celebrities featured in mock advertisements on the album sleeve - including Lucille Ball, Farrah Fawcett, Liza Minnelli (representing her mother Judy Garland), Raquel Welch, and the estate of Marilyn Monroe - threatened legal action.
When the band released Some Girls on June 9, 1978, no one expected the cover to cause more controversy than the music. The sleeve, designed by Peter Corriston and illustrated by Hubert Kretzschmar, featured an elaborate die-cut design inserting the faces of the Rolling Stones alongside famous female celebrities into a vintage advertisement. Visually striking? Yes. But there was one small problem - nobody had asked permission. The stars were furious, many feeling the album made a mockery of their appearance.
The album was quickly reissued with a redesigned cover removing all the celebrities (whether they had complained or not), replacing them with punk-style garish colors and the phrase "Pardon our appearance, cover under reconstruction." (*Mick Jagger later ran into Liza Minnelli at Studio 54 and personally apologized.) Notably, the only celebrity whose face was not removed was former Beatle George Harrison. Valmor Products also took legal action and received an undisclosed cash award for unauthorized use of their ad design.
Despite the drama, Some Girls became one of the Stones' greatest triumphs. It was not merely a record but a cultural artifact: a vivid document of its time that redefined rock music with its infusion of disco and punk sounds. It hit number one on the US Billboard 200 and earned The Stones their only Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. Turns out the band was prophetic - *The title track does include the line "Some Girls take my moneyâŠ".
A little controversy never hurt anyone. Except maybe their legal bills.
Bryan Cranston Gets Hilariously Roasted for His Old Phone: âIs This the Same Phone U Had in Breaking Bad'
Bryan Cranston played an iconic role in the AMC series Breaking Bad, but the beloved actor has fans thinking he hasn't upgraded his phone since then.
Cranston, 70, made us laugh on Seinfeld and Malcolm in the Middle, but made television history in his role as Walter White on Breaking Bad, which ran from 2008 to 2013 on AMC. The show follows a high school science teacher facing cancer who turns to making meth and becomes a kingpin, and Cranston showcased a talent playing White that earned him endless awards.
But in a new video celebrating America's 250th birthday on the Fourth of July, Cranston had followers hilariously roasting him thanks to his low phone quality. While the star shared a poignant message for the holiday, the fuzzy phone quality sent comments into a fury of jokes. The responses will have you gasping for air with laughter.
Check it out below:
View this post on Instagram The Comments Section Was HilariousIn the comments section, fans and followers were lovingly roasting Cranston for the low quality of his phone.
"rumor has it today is also the 300th birthday of Bryanâs phone," one person said.
"Is this the same phone u had in breaking bad," another person chimed in.
"Bro filmed this on a pimento cheese sandwich," a commenter shared.
"Bros recording using gusâs camera in the lab," said a BB fan, referencing the haunting character played by Giancarlo Esposito.
"Yoo heisenberg you short on money gang time to upgrade your phone," another BB fan said, referencing his character's alter ego.
"I think you accidentally used your "other phone"...," someone added.
"The higher quality the person the lower quality the phone," one sweet fan laughed.
Bryan Cranstonâs Daughter, Taylor Dearden, Stars on The PittClearly, talent runs in the family. Cranstonâs daughter, Taylor Dearden, is a rising star in her own right. The actress, 33, has earned raves as Dr. Mel King on the hit HBO medical series The Pitt. Cranston couldnât be more thrilled.
âWell, Taylor is a wonderful, hard-working actor,â Cranston told Craig Melvin during a recent appearance on TODAY. âShe grew up in this business with my wife and I being actors. And so, weâre so proud of her.â
Cranston went on to say that thereâs nothing better than hearing his daughter is thriving.
âWhen I hear praise for Taylorâs work on The Pitt, it means more to me than anything anyone could ever say to me about my work,â he said. âYou know, youâre a proud dad. And Iâm OK. I could retire after you hear that.â
Deardenâs mother, actress Robin Dearden, is also overwhelmed with pride for her daughter.
âThere is nothing more gratifying than when your kid receives praise. Nothing,â Cranston told the Associated Press, of what he and his wife believe about their daughterâs success. âNo one can say anything to me thatâs better than that.â
âHer mom and I are just over the moon with her work on it,â he noted.
âJerry Maguireâ Star Jonathan Lipnicki, 35, Is So Handsome With His Stunning Girlfriend on the 4th
Jonathan Lipnicki was just a little kid in Jerry Maguire, but the actor is a handsome adult alongside his girlfriend while celebrating the 4th of July.
Lipnicki, 35, skyrocketed to superstardom at age 5 alongside Tom Cruise and Renee Zellweger in the iconic film Jerry Maguire. For those of you who donât remember the legendary Cameron Crowe-directed film, the romantic-comedy-drama follows a sports agent who loses his job, leaves the office in a dramatic exit, and takes a low-level employee, named Dorothy Boyd (played by Zellweger), along for the ride. Lipnicki, of course, played Boydâs adorable son. Spoiler alert: Maguire and Boyd fall in love, as youâd expect.
But in a new photo shared to his Instagram Stories, Lipnicki showed how far he's come since his days in the iconic '90s film. While he still boasts a classic smile and blonde hair, it's safe to say he's all grown up. He was joined for the holiday cruise by a lady friend, whose name was not provided.
"Happy 250th America," the text on the fun photo reads.

The Advice Lipnicki Would Give HimselfWorking hard on his acting career, Lipnicki recently shared on his Instagram page the advice heâd give himself early on in his career.
View this post on Instagram Heâs Looking to Get His Career on TrackWhile Lipnicki thrived as a child star, the transition years were a bit challenging.
âI had some really good things that happened when I was younger,â he told PEOPLE earlier this year. Still, he feels at peace with his situation. âItâs totally fine to say Iâm not where I want to be career-wise. Everything weâre doing in this life is nearly impossible.â
Lipnicki intentionally cut back on work during high school so he could experience the years fully. He says he has âno regretsâ about doing that and went on to study acting after. Now, heâs ready to tackle his career head-on.
âAnd I pray every night for clarity on where I need to go, and Iâm confident the best is yet to come for me,â he told the publication. âAnd I think you just have to believe that. If youâre going to pursue this, youâre doing yourself a disservice not to dream big.â
Heâs Got Several Irons in the FireLuckily, Lipnicki has been able to be choosy about the projects he picks.
âTo be quite honest, I said no to about five movies in the last year,â he continued. âI just really want to turn this ship around.âÂ
He completed 10 episodes of TBSâs The Joe Schmo Show and appeared alongside Ron Perlman in Cottonmouth. But he also has a burgeoning career as a producer.  Last year, he announced on Instagram that production wrapped on Dog Years, calling the film âa contemporary romance that explores early adulthood, identity, and love over time.â
âWe canât wait to share it with you!â Lipnicki noted.

An Important Man in Taylor Swiftâs Life Died on Her Wedding Day
Taylor Swiftâs wedding to Travis Kelce on July 3rd occurred on the same day that someone close to the singer passed away. Kirk Schwabe, who taught her criminal justice at Hendersonville High School in Nashville and worked as her security guard, died after a battle with metastatic kidney cancer. When Swift appeared in the 2010 comedy, Valentineâs Day, her characterâs teacher was named Mr. Schwabe in honor of her favorite teacher.
On June 2, Schwabeâs daughter posted on Facebook to say, âOver the past several weeks, his health has declined rapidly, and he has now been moved to hospice care. If you know my dad, you know he has poured his heart into everything heâs done. He has always loved teaching. He loves his students.â

According to Page Six, the post from Sarah Gordon included a photo of the singer. âGordon posted a photo of Swift with her dad while holding a framed record plaque commemorating the release of her 2006 self-titled debut album, Taylor Swift,â the outlet reported.
Schwabe spoke with The Telegraph about Swift in an interview published on July 2, stating that he thought Kelce was the right partner for her. âI do trust Taylorâs judgment. She knows whatâs best,â he said. âI told her, youâre a superstar. This is not fun and games no more. You are it. Everything keeps going up and up and up, and the skyâs the limit for you.â

Schwabe started as a police officer in Chicago, then became an educator who taught Swift from 2004 to 2006, when she was in her teen years. He worked as her security guard for a while before leaving the job after becoming burnt out. He once admitted that her fame caused some panic and said, "If anything happens, Iâm the guy. We got four or five hundred people in here, and I got some extra security guards, but I donât know a lot of these guys who got hired. I donât know what their qualifications are.â
Schwabe's wife, Jane, also spoke about her husband's connection to the singer, saying, âHe treated [Swift] like he did his daughters.â
Why Barbara Eden Thought She Was Completely Wrong for 'I Dream of Jeannie'
Itâs hard to imagine anyone other than Barbara Eden in the starring role of I Dream of Jeannie. But the actress herself wasnât originally sure she would be a good fit for the role in the iconic 1960s sitcom.
Eden, 94, played the mischievous blonde genie opposite Larry Hagmanâs astronaut character, Major Tony Nelson, for five seasons on the NBC fantasy comedy, from 1965 to 1970. She became famous for her signature eye blink and belly-baring chiffon harem outfit, but initially assumed an exotic-looking brunette would be hired for the part.
In a new interview, Eden told People magazine she âdidn't auditionâ for the role of Jeannie but knew the type of women who were in the running.
âThey had every tall brunette, winner of many beauty contests, they were testing,â she told the outlet. âI thought, 'Oh, it's not for me.' The Middle Eastern girl, and that's what they wanted. I'm a blonde, short blonde.â
Eden added that her agent sent her a script and told her that series creator, Sidney Sheldon, wanted her for the role.
"He said, 'You have the part,ââ Eden recalled. âAnd I said, 'Do they know what I look like?'â
Once she accepted the role, Eden found out unexpected news.
âI was so happy during those years. I was doing what I wanted to do to make my living,â she once told Buzzfeed. âMy husband (Michael Ansara), at the time, and I really wanted to have a baby, and it wasn't happening, Then NBC picked up I Dream of Jeannie, and we got pregnant!"
âI didn't expect to stay in the show, and I really didn't care at that time,â she admitted. âI was just so happy to have a baby.â
During an appearance on the I Choose Me with Jennie Garth, Eden noted that she found out about her pregnancy on the same day she was told that Jeannie was going to go on the air. She immediately called Sheldon, fully expecting that her role would be recast.
âI sat down there with a big grin on my face and said, âYou know, I'm pregnant, and I can't do your show. I just had to let you know so you could recast it,ââ she recalled telling the showrunner.
Sheldon said he still wanted to see if it could all be worked out, and in the end, producers decided to hide Edenâs pregnancy with strategic props and flowy clothing to cover her belly.
Eden was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards for her role in I Dream of Jeannie.

AMC CEO Leaks, Then Deletes, Inside Details From Taylor Swift's Wedding
For a few hours on Friday night, the internet knew more about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding than it was supposed to. The couple had wrapped their Madison Square Garden ceremony in phone bans, staff NDAs and a press blackout tight enough that reporters camped outside for days without a single confirmed detail. Then AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron posted a lengthy account of what he saw inside, and deleted it almost as fast as it went up.
By then it was too late. Screenshots had already spread across X and Reddit, and outlets from TMZ to CNN were reading portions of his post on air by Saturday morning. Aron, who oversaw the theatrical release of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, opened with, "It was such a privilege to be THERE," before describing how Madison Square Garden had been transformed for the night. "Immediately upon entry, everything ... floors, walls, ceiling ... was draped in peach and white," he wrote, adding that oversized photos of Swift and Kelce at every age lined the space. He said the arena floor had been reworked into "an outdoor garden at a lush countryside retreat," with real flowers and roughly 75 chairs arranged in fifteen rows, despite a reported guest count near 1,000.
Aron went further, describing the ceremony itself as "long, entertaining, personal, charming, emotional, irreverent and endearing," and calling the couple's love "no small love." He didn't name the officiant, though a release afterward confirmed it was Adam Sandler, and Aron left out most performer names as well. What he did make clear was how tightly the event had been locked down before his post exposed a piece of it. Bloomberg's Myles Miller reported that Madison Square Garden had already parted ways with staff members over NDA violations, and that every phone, including law enforcement's, was bagged at the door.

The timing of Aron's slip gave a ravenous public a taste of the info they wanted. Reporters and fans had spent days working off nothing but delivery trucks and closed streets, and Good Morning America's own anchors had appeared to sidestep questions about what they'd seen while attending.
Aron's account still hasn't been confirmed or denied by representatives for Swift or AMC. But between the leaked details and the official statement that followed, confirming the Dior gowns, the Sandler officiating and a reported $26 million in wedding-weekend charitable donations, the wedding that was built to stay private ended up publicly detailed within a day, thanks in part to the very executive whose company helped make Swift a movie-theater fixture in the first place.
This Specific Travel Insurance Upgrade Is Spiking by 30% This Summer
If you're currently mapping out a major vacation or locking down a high-ticket international itinerary, you might want to take a closer look at the fine print on your travel insurance policy.
With record-breaking heat domes across Europe forcing abrupt, mid-day closures of major attractions like the Louvre and the Eiffel Towerâand even causing infrastructure failures that have halted ticket sales at Florence's Uffizi Galleriesâtravelers are completely rethinking how they protect their trip investments.
Data from Squaremouth, the nation's largest travel insurance marketplace, reveals a massive shift in what people are looking for before they head to the airport.
Related: How to Navigate Extreme Heat in Europe This Summerâand Is It Time for a âCoolcationâ?
View this post on InstagramOver the last three months, the marketplace fielded more than 2,700 customer service calls specifically about a premium upgrade known as "Cancel For Any Reason" (CFAR) coverage, which now accounts for over a quarter of all their customer interactions. It tracks with a broader trend across the industry, with searches for the benefit spiking nearly 30% compared to last year.
The reality of standard trip cancellation insurance is that it only kicks in for very specific, contractually defined emergencies, like a sudden medical crisis or a severe weather event that completely halts operations.
If you simply change your mind, feel uneasy about a destination, or have a scheduling conflict, a basic policy leaves you completely on the hook. CFAR fixes that loophole by putting the decision entirely back in your hands, reimbursing up to 75% of your prepaid, non-refundable trip costs no matter why you decide to stay home.
Related: Why Everyone Is Swapping the Mediterranean for a âCoolcationâ Cruise This Summer
When looking closely at why travelers are suddenly flooding phone lines to secure this upgrade, Squaremouth uncovered five very distinct, real-world anxieties driving the trend:
Geopolitical instability and global conflicts are the top concern, driving a third of all inquiries from travelers who want the freedom to pull the plug if they no longer feel safe heading to a specific region.
Another 27% of callers are simply staring down the general unpredictability of the future, unwilling to risk thousands of dollars on an expensive trip booked months in advance when "life happens." Work-related uncertaintyâlike shifting corporate deadlines or unapproved PTOâaccounts for 21% of queries, while 11% are managing the logistics of caring for aging parents or family members with pre-existing medical conditions.
Interestingly, the final 8% are travelers who have simply been burned by a previous insurance claim denial and are opting for CFAR specifically to avoid the standard paperwork headache altogether.
"Cancel For Any Reason isn't for every trip, but it's the one benefit that puts the cancellation decision entirely in the traveler's hands," says Chrissy Valdez, Senior Director of Operations at Squaremouth.
So, how do you know if it's actually worth the extra investment for your next getaway? The upgrade does come with a premium, typically adding about 40% to the base cost of a standard plan.
Industry experts suggest asking yourself a few quick questions: Is your destination currently dealing with political turmoil or active travel advisories? Are you worried about an exclusion that standard plans won't touch, like a named storm? Or are you just generally uncomfortable with the current travel climate and want an absolute safety net?
If you answer yes to those, the extra layer of protection is likely worth the peace of mind. Otherwise, if your primary worries are straightforward medical emergencies or standard job losses, a classic, less expensive policy will usually have you completely covered.

We Asked 5 Chefs Their Favorite One-Pan Mealsâand They're Anything but Basic
One-pan meals have become the unofficial heroes of weeknight cooking. They save time, keep the sink from overflowing with dishes and somehow make the idea of cooking dinner feel just a little less daunting after a long day. And if you think the phrase "one-pan meal" means bland meat and uninspired vegetables, the five chefs we spoke to are about to change your mind.
The real beauty of cooking everything in one pan isn't just the easy cleanupâit's the way the flavors build as everything cooks together. Those caramelized bits stuck to the bottom of the skillet? That's pure flavor. Potatoes nestled beneath a roasting chicken don't simply cook alongside itâthey soak up the savory drippings that would otherwise be lost. Even yesterday's stale bread can become the foundation of a deeply comforting meal when it's given a second life in a flavorful broth.
đđSIGN UP to get delicious recipes, handy kitchen hacks & more in our daily Pop Kitchen newsletterđłđ
Professional chefs know these little tricks, and while they may spend their days cooking elaborate dishes in restaurants or for their clients, many turn to surprisingly simple one-pan meals when they're feeding themselves, their families or friends at home. They're comforting without being heavy, impressive without feeling fussy and practical enough for a Tuesday night without tasting like you phoned it in.
We asked five chefs to share the one-pan meal they come back to again and again. Their answers span everything from a fragrant South Indian chicken biryani passed down through family to rustic Tuscan bread soup that gives stale bread a delicious second life. Along the way, they also shared the smart techniques that make these dishes taste like they took far more effort than they actually do. Different cuisines, different techniques and different ingredientsâbut every one proves that cooking dinner in a single pan doesn't mean settling for ordinary.
Our Panel of ChefsThese are the five chefs we spoke to that shared their best one-pan meals.
- Erin O'Brien is the New York Times bestselling cookbook author of Dig In! O'Brien grew up in the restaurant business helping at her grandmother's Mexican restaurant in La Jolla, California.
- Aarthi Sampath is a Michelin star chef and founder of DrÄvida, a New York-based restaurant celebrating South Asian diaspora cuisine. She has appeared on Food Network's Last Bite Hotel, and has been crowned champion on both Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay.
- Whitney Otawka is a chef and cookbook author of the highly acclaimed The Saltwater Table. Chef Otawka is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, the former culinary director at The Greyfield Inn on Cumberland Island and currently an education ambassador at Corto Olive in Lodi, California.
- Meg Walker is a Michelin star recipient and Le Cordon Bleu graduate and the chef behind the esteemed Made by Meg catering in Los Angeles.
- Brooke Bedell is a personal chef and the founder of Red Fennel Kitchen in Boston. She cooks for busy families, athletes and new parents, creating practical meals that fit real life.
Here are the one-pan meals these chefs swear by to help you lighten your cooking load.
1. One-Pan Chicken Marsala and OrzoCourtesy Erin O'Brien/ Photo byMatt Armendari!
Some one-pan dinners are all about convenience. Chef Erin O'Brien's favoriteâchicken Marsala and orzoâis all about proving convenience and great flavor can go hand in hand.
The bestselling cookbook author says one-pan meals sometimes get an unfair reputation for being "kind of blahâlike you're trading flavor for fewer dishes to wash," but Chef O'Brien's chicken Marsala and orzo was created to challenge that idea by building every layer of flavor in the same skillet. Chicken thighs crisp first, mushrooms soak up the rendered fat and Marsala wine reduces into a rich sauce that then gets absorbed by the orzo so that none of those savory flavors are wasted.
Her favorite technique starts before the pan is even hot. Rather than dropping the chicken into a preheated skillet, O'Brien places the thighs skin-side down in a cold pan and slowly raises the heat. According to the chef, "it renders the fat gently, so you get really crispy skin" before the remaining ingredients even touch the skillet.
It's the kind of small detail that makes the finished meal taste like something you'd order at a restaurant, even though it all comes together in a single pan in your kitchen. This one-pan chicken Marsala and orzo proves that fewer dishes doesn't have to mean sacrificing flavor.
2. South Indian Chicken Biryani View this post on InstagramSome one-pot meals fill your stomach. Others take you home again.
For Chef Aarthi Sampath, her mother's South Indian chicken biryani does both. Every Sunday, her family gathered on the floor to eat the Chettinad-style biryani while watching Mahabharat, one of India's most beloved television series. "The aroma of the caramelized onions, the spices and the fresh mint instantly takes me back to those afternoons," Sampath says. Today, it's still the dish she turns to whenever she wants to recreate a little piece of home.
The Chettinad style, which originated in the Chettinad region of Southern India, is known for its bold spices and deeply layered flavors.
At the heart of Sampath's family recipe is what she calls the real secret: a mountain of sliced red onions. More than two pounds of onions slowly cook down until they're deeply caramelized, creating a rich, sweet foundation for the biryani. Yogurt-marinated chicken joins green chilies, tomatoes, cilantro stems, fresh mint, and warming spices like cinnamon, cloves and green cardamom before fragrant rice is added. Everything steams together in a single pot, allowing the rice to absorb every layer of flavor.
The result is a meal that's deeply aromatic, comforting and surprisingly straightforward despite its complexity of flavor. "It's the dish I make whenever I want to feed family, friends or simply make myself feel at home," Sampath says. It's a one-pot dish that's equal parts comfort food and family tradition.

3. RibollitaBarbajones / Shutterstock.com
Sometimes the best one-pan meal starts with leftovers.
Chef Whitney Otawka's favorite one-pan meal is ribollita, a traditional Tuscan soup whose name literally translates to "reboiled." Originally created as a way to repurpose leftover vegetables, bean stews and stale bread, the humble dish has become one of Italy's most beloved comfort foods. White beans, carrots, lacinato kale, tomatoes, garlic, broth, Parmesan rind and torn pieces of rustic day-old bread slowly cook together until the bread practically melts into the soup, creating a rich, satisfying texture that's far greater than the sum of its parts.
For Otawka, ribollita is proof that simple ingredients often make the most memorable meals. "There is something luxurious about eating bread that has been bathing in an aromatic broth, olive oil and cheese for hours," she says. It's also a reminder that one-pan cooking isn't always about speed. Sometimes, it's about giving everyday ingredients enough time to transform into something special.
While Otawka's bread soup leans vegetarian apart from the chicken broth, other versions, like the one from Instagrammer Julius Roberts, add a heaping dose of pancetta for an additional dose of savory richness. No matter how you dress it up, this rustic comfort meal turns leftover soup and day-old bread into something rich, hearty and incredibly satisfying.

Few meals make a house feel like home quite the way a roasting chicken does, and Chef Meg Walker's version turns the roasting pan into part of the recipe.
Instead of cooking vegetables separately, Chef Walker surrounds the chicken with Yukon Gold or Red Bliss potatoes, halved shallots, and an entire head of garlic, all tossed with butter and fresh herbs. Before it goes in the oven, the chef bastes the bird outside and under the skin with unsalted butter and fresh-cut herbs.
As the chicken roasts, those vegetables slowly absorb the flavorful juices dripping from above, creating a complete meal without needing extra pots or pans. Fresh oranges tucked inside the bird add brightness while filling the kitchen with an aroma that's every bit as inviting as the finished dinner.
This is a one-pan meal perfect for entertaining. Chef Walker says it's one of her favorite meals because "itâs perfect any time of year, especially when you have company over because it fills the house with warmth and a yummy scent."
Her biggest tip is simple: don't rush it. Giving the chicken enough time in the oven allows the meat to stay juicy while the skin becomes beautifully crisp.
5. Red Pepper ShakshukaPhoto by AN Photography on Unsplash
Chef Brooke Bedell's favorite one-pan meal proves that eggs can be every bit as satisfying for dinner as they are for breakfast.
Her shakshuka begins with onions, peppers, zucchini, garlic, warm spices, tomatoes and spinach before eggs are cracked directly into the simmering sauce to gently poach. The result is colorful, hearty and flexible enough to work for breakfast, brunch or a quick weeknight dinner. Chef Bedell even suggests adding meatballs if you're looking for an extra boost of protein.
As a personal chef, Bedell appreciates meals that adapt to the people she's cooking for. She says that her reason for loving this dish is that "it's forgiving, it's loaded with vegetables without anyone feeling lectured and it tastes like you fussed when you didn't."
Her favorite tip is to create small wells in the sauce before adding the eggs, then keep an eye on the egg whitesânot the clock. Removing the pan from the heat as soon as the whites set keeps the yolks perfectly runny.
3 Genius, Chef-Approved Ways to Simplify MealsAlthough their favorite dishes couldn't be more different, these chefs shared three ways to make cooking one-pot meals even easier.
1. Layer UpDragos Rusu / Getty Images
First, don't be afraid to build flavors in layers. Browning meat before adding vegetables or grains creates a flavorful base that carries through the entire meal.
2. Bring Everything TogetherGMVozd / Getty Images
Second, let your ingredients work together. Instead of cooking vegetables separately, allow them to roast beneath proteins or simmer in sauces where they'll naturally absorb extra flavor. It's one of the easiest ways to make a meal taste more complex without adding extra effort.
3. Follow Your SensesPeopleImages / Shutterstock.com
Finally, trust your senses more than the timer. Whether it's waiting for chicken skin to crisp naturally or watching egg whites instead of counting minutes, paying attention to what's happening in the pan often produces better results than following the clock alone. As Chef O'Brien points out, "even though it all happens in a single skillet, it's built on technique, not shortcuts."
Perhaps that's why one-pan meals continue to stand the test of time. They're easy enough for busy weeknights, satisfying enough for weekend dinners and, as these five chefs prove, anything but basic.

Millie Bobby Brown has been with Jake Bongiovi, the son of Jon Bon Jovi, for over five years. The pair got married in 2024 and adopted a child together in 2025. Recently, Brown revealed that a romantic scene in her new film, Enola Holmes 3, was inspired by a real gesture that her husband performs every night before bed. He braids her hair.
âThat was my idea; I wrote that into the script,â Brown explained, when speaking about the scene with The Independent. âWe had this big scene, and we were like, is it going to be a kiss thatâs going to make the audience swoon? What is it?â
She continued, âMy husband, at night, he braids my hair, and I think it is the most adorable, loving thing. Iâm obsessed with the fact that he does that for me. And so I thought, thatâs what I want to do.â

In the film, Louis Partridge plays her love interest. Partridge also appeared in the original Enola Holmes and Enola Holmes 2, as well as Paddington 2, Argylle, and House of Guinness. From 2023 until 2025, he was in a relationship with Olivia Rodrigo.
âI donât think we could ever be awkward,â Partridge said when speaking about filming with Brown. âItâs been awesome growing up together because itâs like anything goes, in this fun, creative way. Iâm not afraid to make a complete fool of myself, so that gives us license to mess around.â
Brown agreed, adding, âSometimes weâll be just about to kiss, and the director will ask us to hold there and stare at each other for two minutes. Those are the moments that I think, if it were a stranger, I would want to die. But with Lou, itâs easy.â

Enola Holmes 3 is currently streaming on Netflix. The mystery film, which is an adaptation of The Enola Holmes Mysteries by Nancy Springer, is about Enola attempting to get married when Sherlock Holmes disappears.
As one review on Rotten Tomatoes stated, âLight on story but lavishly designed with a romantic Maltese backdrop, the latest Holmes whodunit gifts us another compulsively watchable escapade."
