Seeing all the farmhouse and cottagecore aesthetic videos online may have you thinking that it’s just a trend, but these styles are some of the most timeless. Every space can benefit from old-school looks, and Wayfair has a ton of furniture for just that. Like this modern farmhouse table that’s over $350 off.

The Laurel Foundry Modern Farmhouse Table is usually $457, but this sale brings the price down to $97. That discount is for the antique oak finish you see here, but the antique white table is also on sale for $103 if you want another option.

Perhaps one of the best ways to describe this table is that “it looks simple but elegant.” Another shopper said that it’s “well made, easy to assemble, and so beautiful.” A big highlight for multiple reviewers was the amount of storage space you get without taking up too much physical space:
“This was the perfect size and style to minimize my space to a clean vibe.”

Wayfair furniture usually requires some assembly, but this table is incredibly easy to build. In fact, one shopper wrote, “My second grader and I assembled in about an hour.” A second reviewer said, “This was easy to assemble. I did it by myself.” They also noted that using a drill made the process a lot faster.

Which '70s Pink Floyd Hit Has the Most Epic Guitar Solo?

Tue, 02/03/2026 - 10:00pm

Nearly 60 years since they released their first album, Pink Floyd is just as popular as ever: 2025 saw the band climbing back up the charts thanks to Wish You Were Here's 50th anniversary, and they've racked up billions of streams on Spotify.

Of course, Pink Floyd's enduring legacy is due in large part to the contributions of guitarist David Gilmour, whose unmistakable sound has influenced — and continues to shape — countless musicians, with aspiring guitar players doing their best to learn his legendary solos note for note. Many of Gilmour's most unforgettable solos are from the '70s, when albums such as The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall were released. But if you had to pick the best solo of all from that decade, which would it be?

We've chosen five of Gilmour's most-beloved solos of the '70s...vote for your favorite below! (The poll will close at 12 a.m., EST, Feb. 11.)

"Comfortably Numb" (The Wall, 1979)

While the final version of "Comfortably Numb" has two guitar solos, Gilmour said he "banged out five or six solos,” during the recording process, per Guitar World. “From there I just followed my usual procedure, which is to listen back to each solo and make a chart, noting which bits are good. Then, by following the chart, I create one great composite solo by whipping one fader up, then another fader, jumping from phrase to phrase until everything flows together. That’s the way we did it on ‘Comfortably Numb.’”

Whatever Gilmour did in the studio, as producer Bob Ezrin put it, “You can give him a ukulele and he’ll make it sound like a Stradivarius.”

"Money" (TheDark Side of the Moon, 1973)

For decades, fans have been captivated by what Far Out called the "gorgeous guitar noise" that "rings out" over "Money," describing it as a "sound that now resides with listeners as unmistakably Gilmour, marrying both screaming fuzz tones with warmer, fuller, blues sounds."

"Shine on You Crazy Diamond" (Wish You Were Here, 1975)

Written as a tribute to Syd Barrett, "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" features a famed opening arpeggio from Gilmour in addition to his memorable soloing. In a 2024 interview with Rick Beato, Gilmour recalled the moment he came up with the intro.

“I was in a rehearsal room in King's Cross in London — the four of us, the band Pink Floyd," Gilmour explained. “You play something, you're doing all sorts of little things, and that one comes out, and something in your brain goes, there's something to that, so you do it again, and you do it again."

"And after a while other people in the room stop," he continued. "You can see this thing on people's faces, this awakening moment, when people are going, There's a possibility here, there's something here. There are other moments where that has happened but that was a very clear moment. And basically, the whole of 'Shine On'...grew out of that moment.”

"Time" (The Dark Side of the Moon, 1973)

Another classic from Dark Side, Gilmour used a slightly different technique than usual when recording "Time."

“For most of my solos, I usually use a fuzz box, a delay and a bright eq setting," he explained, per GW. "But to get that kind of singing sustain, you really need to play loud — at or near the feedback threshold.”

Whatever he did in the studio clearly paid off.

"Another Brick in the Wall Part 2" (The Wall, 1979)

One of the most famous anti-authoritarian rock anthems of all time, even casual Pink Floyd fans know all the words to "Another Brick in the Wall Part 2." Not only that, but they know every note of Gilmour's solo.

As Arun Starkey of Far Out wrote, "The song is loved by many, even those who usually would not be fans of the band’s dense prog soundscapes. Furthermore, Gilmour’s work on the track is incredible."

Nancy Grace Says Search for Savannah Guthrie’s Mom Has Entered a Critical Window

Tue, 02/03/2026 - 9:47pm

As the search for Nancy Guthrie enters a critical phase, veteran legal analyst and true crime host Nancy Grace says the clock is working against investigators.

Speaking during a Tuesday, February 3 interview with Newsbreak, Grace didn’t mince words about what the details of the case suggest. “It’s bleak,” she said, adding that from what she understands, Guthrie “was taken forcibly out of her home.” Grace pointed to unsettling details at the scene, including an unlocked front door and lights left on—conditions she said were out of character and strongly indicate outside involvement.

Grace also addressed reports that blood may have been found inside the home, calling it a sign of a struggle. “With every hour that passes, the likelihood that she will survive decreases,” she said. “That is why without losing hope, we have to hurry.”

According to Grace, the circumstances don’t support the idea that Guthrie left on her own. “She doesn’t have dementia. She doesn’t have Alzheimer’s. She has no cognitive decline,” Grace explained, ruling out the possibility that the 84-year-old simply wandered away. She added that scent-tracking dogs did not locate Guthrie nearby, reinforcing the belief that she was removed from the area.

Grace said investigators should now be focusing on people familiar with Guthrie’s routine. “Who knew she would be there? Who knew her routine and practice? Who knew she would be alone?” she asked, suggesting the abduction may have been targeted rather than random.

Authorities have since confirmed that Guthrie was likely taken “against her will,” noting her limited mobility and the fact that her wallet, phone, medications, and Apple Watch were all left behind at her home near Tucson, Arizona. Surveillance footage from nearby homes and businesses is being reviewed, and investigators are working alongside federal agencies.

Her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, who has been absent from Today amid the ordeal, released a statement asking for continued prayers and urging anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

Grace closed by emphasizing the urgency—and the humanity—of the case. “She’s an 84-year-old lady that needs her meds and has mobility issues,” she said. “Somebody took Nancy Guthrie.”

'1000-Lb Sisters' Star Amanda Halterman Reveals the Diagnosis That Took Months to Uncover

Tue, 02/03/2026 - 8:39pm

Fans of 1000-Lb Sisters are getting a more vulnerable look at Amanda Halterman this season. In Season 8, Episode 5, Halterman, 45 opens up about a health struggle that took months to identify, sharing both her frustration and relief at finally getting answers. Her candid conversation sheds light on a condition many viewers may not be familiar with and explains the lifestyle changes she’s now navigating as part of her ongoing health journey.

Halterman and Tammy Slaton visit a nutrition store in "Idle Hands Are a Devil’s B---h." It's there she reveals her health diagnosis to the clerk.

"I was recently diagnosed with POTS," Halterman says. "I've made lifestyle changes, but I need to do better."

"After four months, I finally got diagnosed with POTS, and we ain't talking about the marijuana," she tells producers. Halterman goes on to explain what POTS is—Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome.

In her words, the 1000-Lb Sisters star describes the condition as "when you stand up, your heart rate goes high and you just pass out" and her blood pressure is unstable.

"It's very common with bariatric patients," she added. Halterman had bariatric surgery in 2023, as documented on the TLC series.

Dizziness, fainting, anxiety, chest pain, headaches, and bloating are a few of the other symptoms people with POTS might experience according to the Cleveland Clinic. Halterman was outspoken on social media about experiencing many of these symptoms before being diagnosed with POTS.

"Y’all… I finally got some dang answers," Halterman wrote in an Instagram post on April 8, 2025. She was told to lose weight, but nothing helped.

"My body don’t work like everybody else’s. It’s stubborn, it’s complicated—it’s ME," Halterman added, thanking the hospital staff for hearing her and helping her through her eventual diagnosis.

As Halterman explained to producers, POTS isn't something that can be cured, but something that goes into remission. "You can not have flareups for years, kind of like any other autoimmune issue," she said.

In 1000-Lb Sisters Season 8 Episode 5, Halterman joins her sister to find the supplements that'll keep her nourished and her POTS in remission.

New episodes of 1000-Lb Sisters air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.

NFL Remembers Bad Bunny's Performance With Shakira Before Super Bowl LX

Tue, 02/03/2026 - 8:31pm

As excitement builds for Super Bowl LX, the NFL is looking back at a major moment that helped set the stage for history.

The league recently shared a video on Instagram showing Bad Bunny’s performance with Shakira during Super Bowl LIV. The post comes just days before the Puerto Rican superstar prepares to headline the halftime show for the first time on Feb. 8.

“Remember when Shakira brought out Bad Bunny at Super Bowl LIV?” the NFL captioned the throwback video. The clip quickly caught fans’ attention, reminding many viewers of the singer’s earlier appearance before he stepped into the spotlight alone at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Bad Bunny arrives on the carpet at the 68th Grammy Awards at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA, Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026.

During Super Bowl LIV in 2020, he joined Shakira and Jennifer Lopez on stage in a show that celebrated Latin music and culture. He performed his verse from the hit song “I Like It” and teamed up with Shakira for the popular Spanish track “Chantaje.”

That performance introduced Bad Bunny to one of the biggest global stages in entertainment. Now, six years later, he is returning with a bigger role and greater expectations.

View this post on Instagram

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, will become the first solo Latino artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show. The event will take place during the game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET.

His upcoming halftime show follows a strong year for the artist. At the 68th Grammy Awards, Bad Bunny won three awards, including Album of the Year for DeBí TiRaR Más FOToS

Fans already expect him to perform some of his biggest songs. A trailer released in January showed the singer dancing to his track “BAILE INoLVIDABLE,” which hints that the high-energy song may be part of his setlist. Other fan-favorite tracks like “DTMF,” “Tití Me Preguntó” and “NUEVAYoL” are also strong possibilities.

“My culture influences everything,” Bad Bunny said in a previous interview. “I’m proud of where I come from and I always try not to lose the Latino essences of who I am.”

The NFL has strongly supported its decision to select him as the headliner, even as the announcement sparked mixed reactions. While many fans are excited to see the reggaeton and Latin trap star perform, some critics questioned having a Spanish-language performer as the main act.

The Super Bowl halftime show has long served as a platform for cultural milestones. Past Latin artists such as Gloria Estefan, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez helped expand the reach of Hispanic music in the United States. Bad Bunny’s upcoming performance is widely seen as another major step in that evolution.

Born in Bayamón and raised in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, Bad Bunny grew up surrounded by music. He has said his father introduced him to salsa, while his mother often played merengue and pop ballads. These influences helped shape his unique sound and artistic identity.

Bad Bunny has released six solo studio albums and has become one of the most-streamed artists globally. His 2025 album DeBí TiRaR Más FOToS alone produced multiple hit songs with over one billion Spotify streams.

Super Bowl LX will also mark his first performance in the continental United States since May 2024. The halftime show comes during a busy global tour schedule that includes stops in South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

As fans prepare for the championship game, the NFL’s nostalgic Instagram post reminds viewers how far Bad Bunny has come. From a surprise guest appearance to leading the halftime stage, his return signals a historic moment not only for the Super Bowl but also for Latin music worldwide.

The quality is more than I anticipated.” This shopper also wrote that “the pockets are extra fabulous,” cause they give you plenty of storage. Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke’s Marital Strains Emerge on 'Summer House' Season 10 Premiere

Tue, 02/03/2026 - 8:15pm

The cracks in Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s marriage were boldly evident during the Summer House Season 10 premiere.

The couple, married for four years, announced their split ahead of the new Bravo season after months of speculation, and now viewers get a firsthand look at what may have been the final straw that led to their separation.

From journeying to the Hamptons in separate vehicles to witnessing Amanda ruminating about Kyle’s new job as a DJ, tensions from having entirely different lifestyles and goals quickly bubbled to the surface. A flashback scene before the summer reflects Amanda’s desire to get Kyle to stop going out and partying. Kyle “found a career where he goes out late and parties,” Amanda shares with Ciara Miller during the first episode. Amanda questions if she should be mad about his new career, to which Ciara responds, “No, I think you should be f—ing pissed about it.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Amanda also realizes that when she decided to launch her swimwear line, Kyle simultaneously pursued becoming a DJ “to spite me,” Amanda tells their friends once everyone was settled at the Hamptons house.

One big clue that Kyle and Amanda’s marriage was on shaky ground was when Amanda shared with everyone at dinner that after Kyle lost his wedding ring, she decided to stop wearing hers until he got a new one. “That’s OK, you guys can cosplay single,” Jesse Solomon jokes as everyone looks shocked.

Throughout the episode, Amanda is seen reflecting on her marriage, admitting she’s “numb” to rumors about her husband that used to trigger her. “It scares me,” she admits to Ciara. “I should’t feel that way.”

While friends like Carl Radke also express concerns that Kyle seems to be going down the wrong path with his DJing lifestyle, stress continues to mount between "Mr. and Mrs. Send It," as they are seen going to bed that night, frustrated with one another.

The next day, during the first party of the season, Kyle tells other party guests he's worried that he and Amanda are polar opposites, clearly projecting deep-rooted issues he has with his marriage. He also admits to Carl that he's only happy when he's "showing people a good time," as Amanda tells Ciara that she struggles seeing her husband out constantly. "I think something that's really tough for me is when the whole internet is rooting for our divorce," she admits.

After hearing nonstop breakup rumors, Amanda says she's not sure if maybe she should be listening. The pressure cooker situation reaches a fever pitch when Amanda joins several others in the pool, jumping in wearing only her underwear. As she emerges from the water, Kyle is standing there, annoyed and ready to argue—and this is only the first episode.

Bravo’s Summer House Season 10 airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT. New episodes will stream the next day on Peacock.

7 Subtle Phrases That Suggest Someone Is 'Vaguebooking,' According to Psychologists

Tue, 02/03/2026 - 8:10pm

Another day, another word describing a trend entering our zeitgeist. Some recent examples you might have heard include “monkey branching,” “cuffing season” and “FAFO,” but those are, of course, far from all.

Today, psychologists are talking about “vaguebooking.” It’s not a super new term—it appeared as early as 2009, and a 2023 study noted how it’s related to mental health concerns—but boy, is it relevant and having a comeback.

First, what exactly is it?

“Vaguebooking” is a phenomenon you’ve probably seen (and perhaps been annoyed by), even if you didn’t know it had a name. Think of it as a combination of “vague” and “Facebooking” (though you may see it on other social platforms, too).

“Vaguebooking is a social media practice where the poster makes an ambiguous statement or claim to attract the attention or sympathy of others,” says Dr. Karen Stewart, PsyD, a clinical psychologist and a sex and relationship therapist.

The point is not to inform, but to provoke curiosity. However, the effects it can have on friends and family aren’t so positive.

“The catch is, there’s never enough information to understand what’s happening, and it leaves others feeling a gamut of feelings, from minimally interested to very concerned,” says Dr. La Keita Carter, PsyD, a licensed psychologist in Maryland who specializes in trauma and is the owner/CEO of Institute for HEALing.

Ahead, psychologists explain why people “vaguebook,” as well as reveal seven subtle "vaguebooking" phrases and how to respond.

Related: 7 Things You Should Never, Ever Post Online, According to Psychologists

Why Do People Engage in Vaguebooking?

eternalcreative/Getty Images

As mentioned, vaguebooking is something people do when they're looking for attention or sympathy.

“These responses can be positive or negative attention, or bids for attention or connection,” Dr. Stewart says. “The writer will receive many comments or connection points from others, which will feed the ego and the attachment to others they are seeking.”

It can also serve as a test to see who cares. But the problem, according to Dr. Carter, is that this tactic is manipulative and ineffective. Sometimes, people genuinely miss a post.

It doesn’t have to have the negative connotation that “wanting attention” often does, however. For some, it’s a way people ask for support when they don’t know how else to, don’t want to burden someone or don’t want to share private details.

It can also provide validation in what feels like a “safer” approach.

“It’s a way of getting love and attention without fully exposing their vulnerability,” Dr. Stewart adds.

What that can signify, according to Dr. Carter, is emotional avoidance—and it’s unhelpful.

“In other words, they want attention without the vulnerability that comes with that attention,” she says. “In order to get support from others, you have to make yourself vulnerable enough to receive that support.”

7 Subtle Vaguebooking Phrases, According to Psychologists1. 'Prayer warrior needed! I can’t tell you what’s going on right now, but please keep me in your thoughts.'

As you might notice yourself feeling here, this statement evokes sympathy and curiosity. It's pretty obviously attention-seeking without providing much info.

“The reader is left wondering what is wrong, would like more information and therefore begins the communication with the writer,” Dr. Stewart explains.

2. 'This is too much. I can’t take any more.'

With wording like this, it’s important to ask if the person is planning to seriously harm themselves, or worse.

If not, it may just be another instance of vaguebooking, in which you don’t need to get as involved.

“They are using a post to help them cope; however, they are unaware of how it looks and feels to others,” Dr. Carter states.

Related: 105 Powerful Suicide Prevention Quotes That May Help You or a Loved One

3. 'I am honestly at a loss for words right now. I just don’t know what I’ll do.'

Feeling curious, concerned and a sense of urgency? That’s normal with a post like this.

“They are seeking statements such as, 'What is wrong?', 'OMG, are you OK?' and 'Can I help with anything?' which can make the writer feel they are loved and cared for,” Dr. Stewart says.

4. 'Wow. I thought these people were my friends.'

Maybe you read this post after a disagreement with the friend who posted it, or even when you thought everything was fine with your friendships. Regardless, phrases like these can make readers feel uncomfortable, curious and even guilty.

“[Posters] are trying to see who really cares about them,” Dr. Carter says.

5. 'Trying to keep it together. I really hope this passes soon.'

When people post something like this, Dr. Stewart says, they're looking for sympathy and quick attention.

“It leaves the reader curious and possibly scared [that] something is wrong with the writer, which can feed into attention-seeking behavior,” she adds.

6. 'I never thought this day would come.'

You might see this phrase as a graduation Instagram caption, but that’s not what we’re talking about here. Without context, this can be an example of vaguebooking.

“Simply put, they communicate, ‘Something is wrong, but I need you to pull it out of me,’” Dr. Carter shares.

7. 'It’s done. I certainly didn’t expect this.'

What a cliffhanger, am I right? That’s the point.

“Posting such ambiguous and possibly alarming content will not only stir attention from others, but is also a bit conflict-avoidant,” Dr. Stewart explains. “Something clearly happened in the writer’s life, but they ‘don’t wanna talk about it,’ creating more of the mystery.”

What To Do When You See Someone Vaguebooking

When you see an instance of vaguebooking, you may feel torn on how to respond. That’s fair. Part of you may feel curious or pulled into the narrative. Part of you might want to reach out to provide support, either to help them and/or to avoid feelings of guilt. Part of you may feel irritated and want to scroll past.

Here’s the important part: However you respond is valid.

“It is your choice whether you want to engage or not,” Dr. Stewart states.

For example, you can offer your support without further engaging, commenting something like, “Thinking about you.” You can keep them in mind for the next few days, seeing if they post more information later. You can also not engage. Dr. Stewart encourages the latter if you feel manipulated or uncomfortable.

What not to do, according to Dr. Carter, is criticize or scold the person, interrogate in the comments, feel guilty for not responding or assume the nameless problem is your responsibility to fix.

Rather, you could take the more active route. Send a direct message, she encourages, saying something like, “I hope you’re OK. I'm here if you need to talk. It can be hard, but freeing, to talk about difficult things, so I’ll let you guide how much or little you use me.”

Then, stop and leave the door open. Respect their boundaries.

“If they reach out, respond,” Dr. Carter continues. “If they don’t, consider that they aren’t ready to talk or they haven’t gotten the support that they need.”

Really, it’s about a balance of caring for others without hurting yourself (or even enabling the other person) in the process.

“Frankly, vaguebooking turns private emotions into public space with no clarity,” Dr. Carter shares. “You can be compassionate without becoming sucked into the drama.”

‘The Crown’ Star Quit Caffeine After a ‘Disgusting’ Parasite Discovery

Tue, 02/03/2026 - 8:01pm

Claire Foy, the British actress known for roles in high-profile projects like The Crown and First Man, revealed in a new interview that she gave up caffeine a few years ago after discovering that she had a parasite.

The actress was the guest on the newest episode of the podcast Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware, and at the beginning of the episode, Foy stated that she doesn't have caffeine, leading to questions about when she cut it out.

Casually, Foy declared that she gave caffeine up "quite a few years ago," saying, "I had parasites, gross." She noted that she found out from a medical test, and shared more insight into the situation of how she discovered the parasite and where she thought she got it.

"I kept losing weight, and I didn't know what was going on," she explained, noting that this led her to go to the doctor and seek help.

After the parasite was discovered, Foy said that she likely had it for "at least five years," before adding, "They travel as a pair, I got told by the doctor." She believed that she got the parasite during a trip to Morocco.

"Gross, absolutely rank. It's disgusting," she concluded.

As for why this led her to cut out caffeine, she said, "I basically had to go on this diet, and because I didn’t want to take really hardcore antibiotics and stuff like that, I took all this little gross stuff, and part of that was giving up caffeine.”

After she recovered from the parasite, Foy decided to continue without caffeine, telling the podcast hosts, "Once you've given it up, it's such a mission to give it up, so I was like, while maybe I'll just give it a go of not."

The actress, who played Queen Elizabeth II in the hit Netflix series The Crown, said that before she cut caffeine out, "I drank at least 15 cups of tea a day, and then, like, I had my two coffees."

The Table Manners hosts, Jessie and Lennie Ware, teased Foy's appearance on the podcast the same day the new episode dropped, writing on social media, "Our next guest is an award winning actress, has played 2 queens, and may be seen wearing a crown. Any guesses?"

Along with her role in The Crown, Foy portrayed Anne Boleyn, one of the wives of King Henry VIII who was Queen of England between 1533 and 1536, in the show Wolf Hall.

Other guests on Table Manners include Bryan Cranston, Kate Hudson, Gloria Estefan, and more.

'70s Rock Legend, 75, Releases First New Song in 5 Years

Tue, 02/03/2026 - 8:00pm

While Roger Taylor is famous for being Queen's drummer, he's also a talented singer and songwriter (as longtime fans are well aware). In fact, he's made multiple solo records showing off his many musical skills; his last album, Outsider, was released in 2021. Now, five years later, he's back with another brand new song.

Titled "Chumps," the song seemingly joins other new tracks from the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Billy Bragg in taking aim at the Trump administration. Though Taylor never explicitly mentions the U.S. president's name, his lyrics say it all: "A man of no morality / Of no real quality / A shallow man / A man devoid of empathy / No trace of sympathy / A callow man."

In his caption on the video, Taylor stated, simply: "Gotta say something."

Commenters were quick to praise the new tune, with one writing, "A man with guts to say it. Our dear Roger."

"Roger will forever remain a legend, like Freddie, Brian, and John," a second person declared, adding, "I would like to send a message to Queen fans: we must keep the band alive so that their name will still be spoken in future generations."

"Another reason Queen's been my favorite for 40+ years. Tell it like it is, Roger!" raved someone else, with yet another fan noting, "All these years and Roger still has such a beautiful and powerful voice."

Brian May also spoke out about the current situation in the U.S.

Taylor's new song comes closely on the heels of Queen bandmate Brian May saying the group likely won't tour in the U.S. again.

“America is a dangerous place at the moment, so you have to take that into account,” May said in a recent interview with the Daily Mail UK. “It’s very sad because I feel like Queen grew up in America, and we love it, but it’s not what it was. Everyone is thinking twice about going there at the moment.”

For his part, Taylor told Rolling Stonein September that Queen likely won't be launching any huge world tours in the future, though the band isn't ready to say "farewell."

“I don’t think we’re done,” Taylor said, adding, “And I don’t think we’re going to say a final farewell tour. Because it never is, is it?”

If fans have their way, it never will be.

Sharing the experience during a conversation with John Mayer on his Sirius XM radio show LIFEwith John Mayer, the musician asked McConaughey specifically about a scene from Interstellar that has become a "visual milestone" in pop culture.

He was referring to the scene in the movie when McConaughey's character, Cooper, sobs while watching years of missed video messages from his kids while he's been in space, realizing that due to the gravitational time dilation, he's missed most of their lives.

"I watched it with my son four months ago," McConaughey, 56, said. "I got choked up on that scene again."

The sweet admission elicited a soft "aww" from Mayer, who put his hands over his heart in response to McConaughey's heartfelt revelation.

Halle Berry Opens Up About the Reality of Her Historic Oscar Win, 24 Years Later

Tue, 02/03/2026 - 7:28pm

Halle Berry has had many memorable roles in her career, including the drug addict Vivian in Spike Lee's 1991 film Jungle Fever and the title character in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge. Even so, the film many people associate with her is Monster's Ball, and for good reason: the emotionally raw role earned Berry an Oscar for Best Actress.

Berry became the first Black woman to receive the trophy and, 24 years later, remains the only Black woman to hold it. While it's an accomplishment she's proud of, she's not so sure it had much of an effect on her career.

“After I won it, I thought there was going to be, like, a script truck showing up outside my front door,” the 59-year-old told The Cut. “While I was wildly proud of it, I was still Black that next morning. Directors were still saying, ‘If we put a Black woman in this role, what does this mean for the whole story? Do I have to cast a Black man? Then it’s a Black movie. Black movies don’t sell overseas.”

The X-Men star then recalled a conversation with Cynthia Erivo after she received her third Oscar nomination for Wicked: For Good.

“You goddamn deserve it, but I don’t know that it’s going to change your life," she remembered telling Erivo. "It cannot be the validation for what you do, right?”

While it's easy for any actor to say that they don't need recognition for their work, Berry's actions speak just as loudly. When she was given the Golden Raspberry "Razzie" Award for Worst Actress for Catwoman, she attended the ceremony. As she held her Oscar in one hand, she accepted the Razzie with the other, feigning over-the-top enthusiasm for the award.

“I’ve always known that Oscar didn’t make me the best, just like that Razzie doesn’t make me the worst,” she said.

Just as Berry knows that an award is, in the end, just an award, she knows that she's lucky to still be thriving in her career, three decades after beginning her journey.

“As a Black woman, now almost 60, I still get to work in movies and do what I love," she added. "I’m winning."

‘80s Metal Band Performs With New Member for the First Time Ever

Tue, 02/03/2026 - 7:25pm

Suicidal Tendencies is welcoming a new chapter with a memorable live performance.

After kicking off the year with major changes, the crossover thrash/metal punk band hit the stage for the first time with their new lineup.

Following the departure of drummer Jay Weinberg in January, the band officially announced Xavier Ware as their new drummer, marking a fresh chapter in their ever-evolving legacy.

In one of their recent live performances, fans got a first look at the onstage chemistry as Ware made his debut with the band.

The clip, uploaded by a fan account on YouTube on Jan. 27, showed vocalist and Suicidal Tendencies founder Mike Muir owning the stage as he delivered a high-energy performance throughout the set at the ShipRocked Stage.

In addition, bassist Tye Trujillo, who is the son of METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo, showed off his impressive chops and commanding stage presence during a solo performance.

Of course, Suicidal Tendencies’ new drummer impressed fans and wasted no time proving he was the perfect fit for the band.

Suicidal Tendencies' New Lineup

The band’s current lineup consists of Mike Muir on vocals, longtime member Dean Pleasants on lead guitar, Ben Weinman on rhythm guitar, Tye Trujillo on bass and Xavier Ware on drums.

In a post shared on Jan. 23, Suicidal Tendencies introduced Ware, expressing how “stoked” they are for his arrival.

"We're SToked to introduce you to X, the new SxTx drummer! Breedxdrums,” the Instagram caption reads.

Moreover, the band also shared recordings with their new band member in preparation for their new album, scheduled to be released this year,” as written in the post.

The announcement came after Weinberg confirmed his exit from the band following nearly two years as a member.

The departure was cordial, noting that his reason was to focus on being a first-time dad and growth on his personal projects, including Portraits of an Apparition.

In an Instagram post, he also thanked Suicidal Tendencies for bringing him on board and for an “incredible year and a half of shows.”

“Though I won’t be jamming with the fellas, I can’t possibly overstate the love and respect I have for them, the Suicidal Army and extended family and all the cyco fans I’ve met across six continents playing shows with one of my favorite bands!” he added.

Lowry opened up about her decision to euthanize her dog in the January 29 episode of her podcast, Coffee Convos. She explained that her pet had cancer and "wasn't improving." She also said her dog's veterinarian had told her it was "the right thing to do" because of Buddha's level of discomfort.

Lowry let her fans know that her dog had cancer in a December 2025 Instagram upload. She said she didn't "want to mess with his quality of life" with the time he had left. She also said she still viewed Buddha as a puppy because she got him when she was pregnant with her 5-year-old son, Creed.

"It's really sad because he's such a good dog," said Lowry in her December 9 Instagram video.
