Barry Williams Says One ‘Brady Bunch’ Character Was ‘Completely Wrong’ for the Show

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 11:52am

Barry Williams admitted that the addition of a new character on the final season of The Brady Bunch didn’t work—but he blamed it more on the writing than the child actor himself. During a May 2026 appearance on The Magnificent Others podcast, Williams, 71, noted that the addition of Cousin Oliver (played by Robbie Rist) on the fifth season of the ABCsitcom could be compared to Happy Days’ Fonzie, when Henry Winkler put on skis and jumped over a shark.

“He jumped the shark and then the show went off the air,” Williams said. “And Robbie did six shows, and the show went off the air.”

Williams clarified that he is actually a fan of Rist, who was just nine years old when he appeared on The Brady Bunch. “Robbie Rist, I consider a friend of mine,” Williams told podcast host Billy Corgan. “I like him. I think he was hysterical on the show. He did a great job. He's a good actor. He's a good musician, and he's very active and busy. He was completely wrong for our show."

“It was a kind of a stunt,” Williams acknowledged of Rist’s casting. “And what that was, is in simple terms, I think the writers had run out of ideas. Or they weren't going to let the kids grow up. … I should have been going off to college. But we were all grown up. So they brought in somebody young to tag along with Cindy and with Bobby (Susan Olsen, Mike Lookinland). But the humor and the way they wrote for them was not Brady-like at all. I mean, they're giving him da da da. They're giving him, you know, one, two, three punchlines. It didn't fit in at all. It was not well received, and he kind of had to suffer that. But good guy.”

Many Brady Bunch fans have blamed the addition of Rist’s character for the demise of the popular sitcom, which ended its five-season run in March 1974.

According to People, at a 2025 fan convention at The Chocolate Expo at Hofstra University, Williams admitted he already had one foot out the door when Rist was added to the cast. “I was looking for the exit when we saw Oliver walking through the front door,” the actor shared.

RELATED: ‘Brady Bunch’ Star Says His Own Mom Hated the Show

Rist, now 61, reflected on becoming one of TV’s most hated characters in a 2023 interview with Cracked. The actor and musician noted that he already had a "ton” of experience when he was cast on the ABC series.

“I’d worked with Jonathan Winters, John Denver, andJodie Foster, and I’d been in over 200 commercials; so The Brady Bunch was just another job for me," he shared. “I did it for six weeks. When the season ended, everyone was like, ‘See you next year.’”

“For the people who say I killed the show, well, Oliver killing The Brady Bunch is as ridiculous as Yoko killing the Beatles,” Rist added. “But the truth of it doesn’t matter to some people — it’s ‘print the legend.’ If you really think that a 9-year-old child had the capability to bring down a popular American television show, then I say, ‘Believe that and enjoy.’”

‘90s Girl Band ‘Trying’ To Make Plans for 30th Anniversary Tour

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 11:49am

Mel C has revealed that The Spice Girls are still "trying" to find a way to celebrate the band's 30th anniversary this year.

Fans had hoped that the group would reunite this year to celebrate three decades since the release of their debut single 'Wannabe', but it looks like they may be waiting longer.

"We are trying to find something we all agree is fitting of the legacy we have created, but that also everyone is comfortable with," Mel told The Telegraph newspaper recently. There were rumors of a tour to celebrate three decades together, but it has since been shot down.

When asked if there was any hint of a reunion coming this year, Mel was cagey about responding. "I see what you’re doing there! It’s very difficult for me to speak on behalf of all of the Spice Girls.”

"All I can say is, I feel very positive that there will be something great that the Spice Girls do at some point, but I don’t know when,” the singer added.

The last time Mel C, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Melanie B and Victoria Beckham performed together was at the London 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony. They performed a series of shows without Victoria in 2019. In recent years, they have supported each other at events and celebrated birthdays, but it's rare to see all five together in a room. According to Women's Weekly, they were last seen together in January 2026, where the group, minus Mel B, celebrated Emma's 50th birthday.

Mel B has been a lot more negative about the idea of reuniting, telling HELLO!, "I can tell you that it's not happening. If it does, it'll be a shock to me, let's put it that way. When I look at that (tour) and at the feeling it gave me, I was in my element, but there comes a time... I'm 50. You can't be nagging everyone to go on tour if they don't want to. I laid that to rest when I turned 50."

When asked if she would want to reunite if the others did, Mel B was also unsure. "I’ve got a lot of respect and love for those girls. I wouldn’t be sitting here if it wasn’t for me being part of the Spice Girls. They’ve done a lot for me as a person and in my life. I’ve got fond memories, but I don’t know if I would want to go back up on stage.”

Busch Gardens Free Beer Promotion Is Back for Summer 2026—Here’s What You Need To Know

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 11:32am

Busch Gardens is giving away free beer this summer—but not to just anyone.

The popular theme park announced on Wednesday that it's working to "turn up the heat" this season with new entertainment, experiences, and especially patriotic festivities for the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend and historic Independence Day events.

And since the parks were initially developed by one of the most popular brewers, it only makes sense that it would celebrate all this summer has to offer with the return of its Free Beer promotion.

Busch Gardens Free Beer Promotion Is Back This Summer—Here's What Parkgoers Need to Know

But like all other worthwhile freebies, this one comes with a catch.

Related: Busch Gardens Is Building Its Largest Animal Habitat in a Decade—and It’s a Game Changer

First, guests must be at least 21 years of age (duh) and have a Busch Gardens Membership or be an Annual Pass or Military Pass Holder, according to the press release. Then, they'll have to visit the park (more specifically, Serengeti Overlook at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Willkommenhaus restaurant in Busch Gardens Williamsburg) between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. from June 23 through July 31, at the Virginia theme park and May 22 through August 9 at its Florida location to enjoy the refreshing deal.

There, members can enjoy one complimentary 7-ounce beer per day. The parks are also offering 50¢ beers available for purchase to all guests ages 21+ (limited to two per guest).

However, Busch Gardens said its beer offerings and promotional details vary by park and are subject to change, so it might not hurt to call the restaurant the day of your visit to confirm its current promotions.

As for all the seasonal refreshes it's ushering in, Busch Gardens said it will host a Wild Skies Drone Show & Fireworks Spectacular, a Beach Bash extravaganza, and return several fan-favorite shows to the indoor theaters.

  • Wild Skies Drone Show & Fireworks Spectacular: featuring 400 synchronized drones and fireworks during two all-new nighttime spectaculars on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer.
  • Beach Bash: A show filled with retro high energy in Gwazi Plaza and the return of the energetic Boom Box Dance Party in Stanleyville.
  • Returning fan-favorite indoor performances to beat the heat include Cirque Electric, Animal Tales, Icons and Rhythm of Nature.

Beginning May 22 and running through July 5, guests are invited to America's 250th Celebration at Busch Gardens. It brings "all-American excitement" to the park with special military appreciation offerings, patriotic merchandise, festive summer treats, exclusive savings and a "dazzling" patriotic-themed drone show.

Later this season, Busch Gardens' Bier Fest Brews & BBQ will take place on weekends from July 24 through August 30, featuring more seasonal brews, beer-inspired BBQ dishes, and live entertainment.

Antoni Porowski’s New Nat Geo Show Is a Love Letter to Food and Travel

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 11:28am

Fresh off the end of Netflix's long-running hit Queer Eye, Antoni Porowski is embarking on a brand-new global adventure with National Geographic.

The television personality and cookbook author is set to host Best of the World with Antoni Porowski, a new four-part travel docuseries inspired by National Geographic's annual "Best of the World" travel list. The series will premiere on June 7 on National Geographic before streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.

Related: The Fab Five's Final Season 10 of 'Queer Eye' is Now on Netflix, and Viewers Are Already in Tears

According to National Geographic, the series will follow Porowski as he explores some of the world's most vibrant cities, including Paris, Mexico City, London, and New York City. Along the way, he'll dive into local food scenes, hidden gems, wellness experiences, and the communities that make each destination unique.

Unlike the traditional "Best of the World" rankings, Porowski's series takes a more personal and immersive approach to travel storytelling. The trailer shows the Queer Eye star tasting spicy local dishes, paddling through historic canals, experimenting with graffiti art, and meeting locals throughout each city.

National Geographic executives are betting big on Porowski's growing presence within the network. In a statement announcing the series, Tom McDonald, Executive Vice President of Content at National Geographic, has called him "the perfect travel companion."

"Antoni is the perfect travel companion: curious, grounded, joyful, and deeply tuned in to the culture around him," McDonald said, according to Broadway World. He added that the series "brings Nat Geo's bestselling book and influential digital list to life on screen."

The new show marks Porowski's second major collaboration with Nat Geo, following No Taste Like Home with Antoni Porowski, which debuted in 2025. That series paired him with celebrities, including Florence Pugh, Awkwafina, and Henry Golding, as they explored their ancestral roots through food and travel.

Porowski has also spoken openly about entering a new chapter following the conclusion of Queer Eye, which ended earlier this year after 10 seasons. In recent interviews, he described his upcoming Nat Geo projects as an exciting next step that allows him to combine his love of food, culture, and storytelling.

WWE Legend John Cena Takes on a Wild New Role in ‘Little Brother’ Trailer

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 11:24am

John Cena once again proves his comedic talent in the first official trailer for Netflix's Little Brother. The movie, slated for release in June, stars Cena alongside Eric André (Street Fighter), Michelle Monaghan (The Family Plan), and Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) in what appears to be one of the WWE icon's funniest roles yet.

Described as an "uncomfortably touching comedy," the trailer introduces Cena's character, Rudd, a famous real estate agent who is reunited with his "little brother" Marcus, played by André. However, whether André and Cena's characters are truly related becomes a central question. Judging from the Little Brother trailer, comedy and wrestling fans can expect plenty of chaos that will leave audiences gasping with laughter.

Little Brother serves as a less-than-violent reunion for both Cena and André. In 2020, Cena made a memorable appearance on André's Adult Swim series, The Eric André Show. In the episode, Cena used his wrestling skills to throw André into a shelf, resulting in André being hospitalized with a concussion. "John Cena did the stunt right, but we prepped for the stunt wrong. That metal shelf came over and clocked me in the head, and I got concussed, and I went to the hospital," André explained on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

That unfortunate accident ultimately led to a fateful partnership, bringing André and Cena back together for Little Brother. The film marks Cena's first starring role in a Netflix original movie and André's second, following the 2021 hidden camera comedy Bad Trip. Both have continued to build impressive onscreen resumes, with Cena ensuring his wrestling fans remain entertained through his work outside the ring. Fans may recall the 17-time WWE World Champion from recent films such as Ricky Stanicky, Barbie, Vacation Friends, Vacation Friends 2, Argylle, and the HBO Max series, Peacemaker.

Little Brother premieres only on Netflix June 26.

Celebrity Unveils the Newly Reimagined Solstice in Alaska and It’s a Super-Chic Way to See the Last Frontier

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 11:10am

There’s a ton of excitement around new ship launches right now—from family-friendly megaships topping each other with theme park amenities to high-design river cruises—in fact, it's probably one of the most innovative times in cruising to date. However, in my opinion, some of the most exciting work is happening where major lines "upcycle" their classic ships, making them more amenity-filled and perfectly suited for their specific sailings.

There is no better example of this right now than the Celebrity Solstice. As part of a massive $250 million Solstice-class 'renewed' program, the ship just received a bow-to-stern transformation full of modern luxury upgrades that elevate its classic layout for a new generation of travelers. While it's long been a fan favorite, the ship relaunched this March with eight new experiences—including four spaces brand new to the Celebrity brand. The result is a ship that feels perfectly suited for its current job: sailing the rugged, breathtaking coast of Alaska in signature Celebrity style.

“Our approach with Celebrity Solstice was very intentional, designed to make every space purposeful, comfortable and aligned with the stunning destinations,” Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, told me. She explained that the team approaches innovation in thirds: “A third rooted in familiarity, a third in evolution and a third in revolution. Our goal is to strike that delicate balance, protecting the beloved traditions... while boldly pushing forward.”

Here's how that balance is playing out on board.

Fine Cut and The Retreat Expand the Edge-Class Influence

Meghann Foye

Celebrity has smartly expanded what people love about the newer Edge Class ships while listening to guest feedback. Most ships have a specialty steakhouse, but the addition of Fine Cut Steakhouse—a Forbes Travel Guide-rated guest favorite—takes it to another level. Rather than the typical dark leather and mahogany atmosphere, you’re located in the ship’s aft with wall-to-wall windows. It’s the perfect spot to watch a pod of whales while digging into a 45-day dry-aged porterhouse, incredible seafood dishes like house-made lobster tail ravioli and decadent desserts like its fudgy signature sundae.

For suite guests, the "Edge-ification" continues with a completely redesigned Retreat Sundeck. This prime-real-estate outdoor space on the 16th floor forward now features an oversized hot tub and fun, black-and-white plush outdoor seating designed by Kelly Hoppen, CBE. It’s the ultimate spot for soaking in glacier views. The Retreat Lounge on the revitalized Solstice now echoes the elevated, high-design clubhouse found on the Edge Series, providing a "ship-within-a-ship" experience that feels modern and private.

The Boulevard Lounge Brings Elevated All-Day Energy

Meghann Foye

One thing I’ve loved about Celebrity’s ship design is the vibrant "nooks and crannies" that become its signature hubs—like the beloved Café al Bacio and Martini Bar. On the Celebrity Solstice, they’ve doubled down on that energy by transforming the fourth-floor area just outside the theater into the brand-new Boulevard Lounge.

This 125-seat venue is now a hub for all-day programming, ranging from piano bar singalongs and karaoke to brand-new game shows. It’s no longer just a place to stand while waiting for the theater doors to open; it’s a prime entertainment destination in its own right. Whether you're watching pianists duel it out to Elton John or catching surprisingly talented ship guests take their turn at karaoke, it's the kind of space that makes you want to stop in between activities just to catch the vibes.

Directly adjacent, the new Boulevard Bar serves up handcrafted cocktails, ensuring that the ship’s "belly" feels just as lively as the top deck, even when the Alaskan chill sets in. With the Parlor across the way, I noticed it also served as a vibrant "third space" for lingering between shows, after excursions and for pre-dinner drinks.

The Analog Appeal of 'The Parlor'

Meghann Foye

Everyone loves The Parlor—it was packed from the moment we set sail. Leaning heavily into the "analog-core" trend, this space serves as an elevated sports and gaming lounge. Hodges Bethge noted that the venue captures the high-energy social spirit of a sports bar but elevates it with billiards, darts and a curated collection of nostalgic board games. "These new experiences are inspired by guest feedback, but we also push further," she explained.

It’s the perfect place to shake off the icy chill with a Red Basil Smash (a signature blend of gin, lemon, basil, and red wine) alongside upscale takes on classic comfort food. The menu is a major highlight, featuring Shrimp Mac N’ Cheese, the Celebrity Signature Burger, and crispy fried-chicken sandwiches topped with crunchy pickles. The team lasered in on "surprise and delight" moments throughout—I especially loved the over-the-top milkshakes (offered in small, medium and large) that have quickly become a guest favorite, channeling a similar playful energy to Xcel’s signature bloody mary bar. Cozy and windowless, the lounge ultimately feels like the ultimate gameroom to warm up after a day of exploring glaciers.

Reinventing Cruise Entertainment With Acrobatics and Candlelight

Meghann Foye

Celebrity’s take on entertainment is modern and cool. The new production show Smoke and Ivories celebrates the juke joints of 1950s with world-class vocals and some pretty amazing acrobatics. Also debuting in the Theatre is Rockumentary, a live concert experience recreating landmark rock performances across the decades that had everybody in the theatre clapping and dancing along.

“We are continually pushing the boundaries on entertainment, creating productions that captivate and inspire,” Hodges Bethge added, noting they partnered with creative teams who bring a wealth of entertainment industry experience. For those who want something more atmospheric, the ship hosts candle-lit concerts in the Sky Observation Lounge. Watching a string quartet perform rock renditions under the soft glow of candlelight while the Alaskan wilderness sits just outside the glass is a genuinely spellbinding experience.

For me, entertainment is always a major highlight of the Celebrity experience, and standout cruise director Corinne Steel ensures it stays firmly at the forefront on Solstice. That high-energy dedication was palpable every single night, whether winding through the theater and lounges, jumping into the silent disco or dancing at Celebrity’s signature "Shine the Night" white party in the atrium. While Alaska cruises can occasionally skew a bit sleepy, Solstice undeniably brings the edge.

Sunset Park Brings Prime Views of the Last Frontier

Meghann Foye

The top of the ship is beautifully open, offering a front-row seat to Icy Strait and Hubbard Glacier. The absolute standout is the new Sunset Park, a complete reimagining of the brand's signature Lawn Club. While the real grass remains, the space has evolved into a chic "seaside park" that's perfect not only for soaking in prime views, but for enjoying them together.

"We know our guests love the Lawn Club... we envisioned how we could evolve that experience,” Hodges Bethge said. “The space is designed to enhance the outdoor experience with more shade, delicious food and engaging recreation.” This includes new private cabanas with dedicated attendants and the Sunset Park Café, which serves up fresh al fresco breakfast and lunch. I found myself grabbing egg bites and a latte in the mornings, and a charcuterie board and glass of wine in the evenings to enjoy while watching the "golden hour" hit the Alaskan peaks—complete with fleece throws to stave off the March chill. On the same deck, the expanded Sunset Bar offers an incredible vantage point for those 10 p.m. sunsets, making every hour feel like happy hour.

Premium Touches and Wildlife Wins

Meghann Foye

The ship also added 54 new staterooms, bringing the total to 1,479 cabins. This includes four brand-new categories: the Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite, two Panoramic Ocean View Suite categories, and the Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View. Even the AquaClass rooms got a refresh, now featuring spa-inspired amenities like massaging shower heads and aromatherapy diffusers.

New to the dining portfolio is Trattoria Rossa, serving Roman and Southern Italian cuisine. The handmade pastas (made in-house daily) and the tableside preparation of the Chicken Parmesan and Caesar Salad add a layer of theater and fun to the meal that you don't typically find on a mid-sized ship.

In our short trip, we saw daily pods of whales and sea lions sunning on rocks. With Sam Carmack, the onboard naturalist, annotating the day’s adventures, the Celebrity Solstice feels like an intentional, intimate setting perfectly built for its job. Rather than leaving guests to jostle for space to watch the Alaskan scenery unfold, the ship effortlessly pairs panoramic views with open, highly social layouts.

It brings that enviable "Euro-summer" energy straight to the Pacific Northwest, relying on Celebrity’s deeply rooted Mediterranean DNA to create spaces meant for luxurious lingering. Whether you're relaxing at Café al Bacio, toast-making at the Martini Bar or renting a private top-deck cabana at Sunset Park, the ship practically begs you to slow down and connect. It's clear that, as Hodges Bethge put it, "every element of Celebrity Solstice’s revitalization was thoughtfully designed around how our guests want to spend their time." It’s proof positive that a purposeful, destination-led redesign can make a classic vessel feel vastly more innovative than a standard new build.

And for those who want to truly settle in, the ship is preparing for its landmark 110-night Grand Voyage beginning September 13, 2026, spanning 55 unrepeated ports from the glaciers of Alaska to a New Year's Eve arrival in Hong Kong.

Jack Osbourne Blasts 'Health Crisis' Rumors in Scathing Video

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 11:05am

Jack Osbourne is done hearing about speculation on his health.

In a video shared to Instagram on Tuesday, the TV personality and son of the late Ozzy Osbourne, blasted rumors that he's sick and went as far as to call out at a journalist by name who criticized his appearance.

"If I see one more article written about me saying how I'm sick, I'm grossly underweight. 'What's going on?' Health crisis, Jack,' It's f---ing insane," he vented.

View this post on Instagram

He went on to explain that he hasn't lost weight since filming UK reality show,I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!

"I've been the same f---ing weight," he said, noting the only change he's made is that shaved his beared and "opted for a creepy mustache."

However he did share the fact that he's been on a weight loss journey for over three years, revealing his weight and height.

"I've been consistently, but slowly losing weight for the last three and a half years," he acknowledged. "I shot up to about 220 pounds three and a half years ago, and decided that I wanted to make some changes, so I did. What's the big f---ing deal."

Osbourne then called out a specific journalist who wrote about his appearance and subsequently commented on hers.

"I'm not body shaming, but maybe we don't throw stones," he said, and invited her "to come to the open mat at my jujitsu gym, and you'll see how f---ing hard I train, because this is insane, and the fact that I even have to say this blows my mind."

The dad of five then reflected on the fact that since he's been on television since the early 2000s, with his family's show The Osbournes, his appearance has regularly been scrutinized.

"My entire life I was just brutalized by the press about being overweight, and the fact that I get down to a healthy weight, now I'm criticized even more. Get f---ed," he said.

'The Boys' Ending Explained: Who Dies, Who Survives and Homelander's Shocking Final Moments

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 11:00am

SPOILER ALERT! The following includes events from the series finale of The Boys. Don’t read further if you don’t want to be spoiled about all things “supe” and otherwise.

Episode 7 of The Boys, “The Frenchman, the Female, and the Man Called Mother’s Milk,” finds Butcher’s crew trying to regroup after Homelander (Antony Starr) gets his hands on V1 and becomes more dangerous than ever. Hughie (Jack Quaid) and Annie (Erin Moriarty) begin losing hope, Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) checks out with a haze of lobotomies and reality TV, and Homelander expands his power by assassinating the president and dismantling The Seven. But Butcher (Karl Urban), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capone) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) refuse to quit, betting on a risky plan that could finally level the playing field.

But amid all the chaos and increasingly unhinged power plays, Episode 7 delivers one of the season’s biggest emotional blows. A mission involving Oh Father (Daveed Diggs) and Vought Studios brings Jordan Li (London Thor) and Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) into the mix, but the biggest moment is the loss of Frenchie. After years of highs, lows and searching for redemption, one of the show’s most beloved characters gets a heartbreaking sendoff.

Episode 8 of The Boys, “Blood and Bone,” opens on a somber note with Frenchie’s funeral, but grief doesn’t last long before the series finale launches into absolute chaos. Here's our spoiler-filled recap of what went down, and how the series ended.

Who died in The Boys finale?

Sage discovers that Kimiko’s grief may be the key to unlocking her upgraded abilities, but the breakthrough comes at a cost: Sage loses her own powers in the process — a tradeoff she welcomes. Meanwhile, Gen V favorites Marie, Emma (Lizze Broadway) and Jordan briefly appear to help survivors from Vought Studios, though their involvement ultimately ends up being smaller than expected.

As Homelander barrels ahead with his Easter Sunday declaration of godhood, The Boys devise one last desperate mission, sneaking into the White House through JFK’s secret tunnels in hopes of stopping him before he can fully cement his messiah status. Along the way, Homelander unleashes a vicious verbal takedown of The Deep (Chace Crawford), Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie) returns at a crucial moment to save the team and bodies begin dropping. Annie finally gets her showdown with Deep, while MM finds a memorably gruesome way to eliminate Oh Father.

But the finale ultimately belongs to Butcher and Hughie. In one of the series’ biggest reversals, Kimiko strips Homelander of his powers, reducing television’s most terrifying supe into a panicked, whimpering shell of himself before Butcher brutally finishes him off live on camera. But even after Homelander falls, Butcher isn’t done. Ready to unleash the supe virus and wipe out every remaining supe — including Annie and Kimiko — he forces Hughie into an impossible choice. In a heartbreaking ending, the show’s moral center pulls the trigger, killing his longtime friend after Butcher quietly admits he was never going to stop.

Homelander Finally Falls

When it finally came time for The Boys’ biggest villain to go down, the end result was both exactly what fans expected and nothing like anyone could have predicted. A showdown between Butcher and Homelander had felt inevitable for years, but it ultimately took Kimiko, Ryan (Cameron Crovetti) and Butcher working together to bring him to the brink. After Kimiko stripped away Homelander’s powers and the dust settled, only two men were left standing: Butcher and the enemy he’d spent years obsessing over.

And that final confrontation took a wonderfully unexpected turn. For five seasons, Homelander had been television’s most terrifying force — cold, arrogant and utterly untouchable. But without his powers, all that confidence evaporated. Watching him beg for his life, fail trying to activate his heat vision and awkwardly attempt to fly away like a kid pretending on a playground was the ultimate humiliation. For a character defined by power, watching him lose every ounce of it before meeting his end felt less like a death and more like the perfect punishment.

Frenchie makes one final appearance

Whether Frenchie appeared to Kimiko as some fallen Jedi-style Force ghost or was simply a vision born from grief, it ultimately doesn’t matter. In the moment she needed him most, Frenchie returned one last time to help guide her forward, giving Kimiko the emotional push she needed to finally unlock her powers and keep fighting. It was a small scene in a finale packed with chaos and carnage, but it landed as one of the episode’s most heartfelt moments. Annie and Hughie may be The Boys’ most recognizable couple, but in their final scene together, Kimiko and Frenchie once again proved they were the show’s emotional core. Through all the madness, violence and absurdity of the series, their relationship remained one of its most genuine and human connections — making Frenchie’s final return hit that much harder.

Hughie vs Butcher

From the very beginning, Hughie and Butcher represented two sides of the show’s moral compass. Butcher was willing to burn down the world if it meant finishing the mission, while Hughie consistently fought to hold onto his humanity — even when doing the right thing came at a cost.

Their final moments together brought that central conflict full circle. Forced into an impossible position, Hughie had to do the one thing he never wanted to do: stop Butcher. It was heartbreaking, messy and deeply fitting. For a relationship built on a big brother/little brother dynamic, The Boys found a conclusion that felt both emotionally earned and true to who these characters had always been.

Happily ever after

With both Homelander and Butcher now out of the picture, it seems like The Boys can at last settle down into their respective content lives. The series ends on a high note, with MM reuniting with his family with Ryan in tow, Kimiko moving to France, and Hughie and Annie running a mom-and-pop audio/visual store and expecting their first child.

John Krasinski’s Net Worth in 2026 Means He Won't Have To Take an 'Office' Job Anytime Soon

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 11:00am

John Krasinski’s net worth in 2026 is nothing like Jim Halpert’s—the character Krasinski famously played on NBC’s The Office. The actor/writer/director triple-threat has kept himself busy long after the 2013 ending of the beloved sitcom. And we’re not just talking about his enviable marriage to Emily Blunt!

Krasinski has definitely diversified his career over the past decade, from starring as Jack Ryan on the Amazon Prime Video series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan to co-writing, directing, producing and starring in 2018’s A Quiet Place (and writing and directing its sequel!), we have to imagine Krasinski is raking in some serious dough. He even made his first appearance in the MCU with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Here is everything you could ever need to know about John Krasinski’s net worth in 2026.

How did John Krasinski get famous?

To anyone who’s a fan of the actor, the answer is probably pretty obvious. John Krasinski was a relative unknown in 2004 when he auditioned for and landed the role of Jim Halpert in NBC’s The Office, the American version of the U.K. sitcom.

Prior to landing The Office, Krasinski had interned at Late Night With Conan O’Brien in 2000 while still at Brown University, appeared in commercials and guest-starring roles on shows like Ed and Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and had small roles in films like 2000’s State and Main, 2004’s Taxi and 2004’s Kinsey, in addition to appearing in some off-Broadway plays.

It was Krasinski’s casting and subsequent portrayal of Jim on The Office that put him on the map and made him a household name.

What is John Krasinski's net worth in 2026?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, John Krasinski's net worth in 2026 is $100 million. It is important to note that this is a combined net worth with his wife, Emily Blunt, though it has been reported that Krasinski is responsible for a slightly larger share. Krasinski has earned this baller bank account through his work as an actor, director, writer and producer.

How much did John Krasinski make per episode of The Office?

Because John Krasinski started his time on The Office as an unknown actor with little clout, he was paid $20,000 per episode for the first three seasons. This was reportedly raised to $100,000 per episode starting with the show’s fourth season and remained in that range until the end of the series' nine-season run.

How much money did John Krasinski make from The Office?

With John Krasinski earning $20,000 per episode for the show’s first three seasons and $100,000 (or more) per episode for the series’ remaining six seasons, that would have netted the actor at least $14,720,000 from the show—without counting bonuses, residuals or extra cash from video sales, syndication, streaming or reruns.

Do the actors from The Office get royalties?

The actors from The Office do get residuals from their work on the series as outlined by their contracts and SAG-AFTRA agreements. However, when it comes to deals like the $500 million one to stream the series, it is unlikely that the actors—beyond headliner Steve Carell—get any piece of that pie beyond their SAG-AFTRA residuals.

How much does John Krasinski make from The Office reruns?

It is not known how much John Krasinski earns in royalties from The Office. We do know that the cast receives residuals; however, the exact amount is not public knowledge.

How much does John Krasinski make for Jack Ryan?

John Krasinski has remained tight-lipped about his salary on Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan for his portrayal of the title character. Given his star power when he landed the role, we can imagine he is paid in the high hundreds of thousands per episode for the Amazon Prime Video series, if not the low seven-figure range (which is what Chris Prattreportedly got for The Terminal List on Prime Video).

How much did John Krasinski make from Dr. Strange?

It is not known how much John Krasinski was paid for his cameo role as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, a follow-up to 2016’s Doctor Strange. Because he had a relatively small role in the film, we can imagine he was paid in the hundreds of thousands for the role.

How much did John Krasinski make from Monsters University?

It is not public knowledge how much John Krasinski was paid for his voice-acting role as Frank McCay in 2013’s Monsters University. Because of the actor’s clout at the time he was cast, we can see him being paid in the high hundreds of thousands for the voice appearance.

How much did John Krasinski make from A Quiet Place?

John Krasinski was a co-writer, director, producer and star of the 2018 horror hit A Quiet Place. However, it is not known exactly how much the quadruple threat earned for his work on the film. As he had so many behind-the-scenes roles, including as a producer, and also starred in the film, we can imagine Krasinski was also entitled to a portion of the film’s profits.

The movie earned a worldwide gross of over $340 million on an estimated $17 million budget, so we can imagine Krasinski probably earned upwards of $15 million when all was said and done for his work on the movie. (And those numbers are particularly stellar considering it came out right before the pandemic!)

How much did John Krasinski make from A Quiet Place 2?

John Krasinski has not publicly released how much he made for 2021’s A Quiet Place Part II. Krasinski wrote and again directed the film but had a much smaller onscreen role. It has been reported that his wife, Emily Blunt, earned around $12 to $13 million to reprise her starring role in the sequel.

That being said, Blunt and Krasinski ended up in a legal battle with Paramount Pictures over the shortened theatrical release of the film, as both actors were entitled to a portion of the film’s box office gross as part of their pay according to their contracts.

The movie grossed $297,372,261 worldwide as of this writing. That means we can estimate Krasinski again most likely earned upwards of $15 million for his behind-the-camera and onscreen responsibilities on the film.

How much did John Krasinski sell Some Good News for?

John Krasinski’s Some Good News was one of the few bright spots that emerged early on during the coronavirus pandemic. The YouTube series ran from March 29, 2020, until May 17, 2020. Following a reportedly colossal bidding war, Krasinski licensed the web series to ViacomCBS in what has been described as “a rich deal.” While the details of this deal remain secret, we can imagine Krasinski earned at least a few million.

’90s Rock Band, Originally Disbanded After First-Ever Show, Announces First Tour in 30 Years

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 10:58am

After 30 years, Australian alternative rock band TISM (short for This Is Serious Mum) is going back on tour. The announcement came Tuesday via Instagram, marking their first national headline tour since the 1990s.

The band's decision to go back on the road follows their wild April performance at Sydney Opera House, where they put on an anarchic live show that resulted in nearly $19,000 in venue damage. TISM later denied any part in the destruction in a brash statement posted to social media. The situation sparked massive discourse across Australia due to the band's notoriously chaotic reputation, which only seemed to encourage the anonymous collective further.

TISM perform on stage at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on November 9, 2024 in Melbourne, Australia.

The trek, titled the NO MISTAKES TOUR, will set out on July 10 and travel to a series of major Australian venues. Kicking off in the summer, TISM will make a couple of high-profile festival appearances, starting at the Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival, and will conclude with a chain of fall theater dates, ending at Sydney's Enmore Theatre. As of now, no opening acts have been announced as support.

In their announcement post, the band gave brief, characteristically cynical synopsis of what to expect from the upcoming dates, emphasizing the rarity of the performances to their cult following.

Because TSIM wants all your money, they’ll be playing radically different selections of fan favourites each night — plus all the other weird [expletive] that goes on at a TSIM show," the group stated. "Equal parts chaos, anonymity and Australian music history, this is a rare chance to witness one of the country’s most legendary live bands at full force."

1975 Rock Classic Ranked Among 'Best Karaoke Songs' of All Time

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 10:56am

Head to karaoke night, and there are a few classic tracks that you can guarantee will be sung at some point throughout the evening. One of those includes a hit rock anthem that will wow audiences every time.

That song? "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. Voted among the 100 Best Karaoke Songs of All Time by Billboard, it's a great song if you want to impress your friends with a dramatic finale at the end of the night. It's got everything you could ask for in a top karaoke tune: singalong moments, head-turning solo vocals, and energetic, layered instrumentals that even conclude the song with a gong.

Despite it being one of the most legendary songs to date, it hasn't always been the case. First released as a single on October 31, 1975, the track peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100. Seeing a resurgence following the release ofWayne's World in 1992, the song reached the number two spot on the same chart, before charting for a third time in 2018. This made "Bohemian Rhapsody" a rare multi-decade chart success.

Queen singer Freddie Mercury died in November 1991, before the song's second wave of success. Guitarist Brian May said that the iconic musician would be relishing in the song's success.

“We thought, this is going to be a nice track for our new album [A Night at the Opera],” May explained of the song's origins, per Big Issue. “which hopefully is going to save us, because we’re seriously in debt and in a very bad situation as regards management.”

“We certainly weren’t thinking in terms of number ones, we just felt it was the best song on the album,” added drummer Roger Taylor. “It was the most arresting, unusual thing.”

May said that maybe "the time was right" for "Bohemian Rhapsody," but the success of the song remains a "mystery."

"I’m kind of glad it’s a mystery, because nobody really knows where Bohemian Rhapsody came from. Nobody could have predicted that it would fall upon the general public’s ears at that moment and have such an incredible effect. So I suppose I think ‘Rhapsody’ would have done well at any point but was certainly well timed in a sense of the way people felt."

Travis Kelce's Tight Ends & Friends Concert Returns

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 10:56am

Travis Kelce and his tight end pals are back!

The Kansas City Chiefs star, along with San Francisco 49ers' George Kittle, and former Carolina Panthers' Greg Olsen, are returning for another year of their "Tight Ends & Friends" concert.

The show, presented by Reese's, is "poised to be one of the most anticipated nights of the summer."

Last year's inaugural concert set the bar high with country music star Kane Brown taking the stage before a surprise performance by Kelce's now-fiancée Taylor Swift.

"Tight Ends and Friends is everything TEU stands for: the brotherhood, the celebration, the fans, and the moments that nobody sees coming. What we built last year in Nashville was something truly special, and this summer we are taking it to another level entirely," Olsen said.

After the viral night of music from last year's Tight Ends & Friends concert, and TEU and Authentic's standout event during Big Game Weekend in San Francisco earlier this year, this year's show promises to build on the momentum.

"When SI and Tight End University joined forces in San Francisco, the result spoke for itself. That event was the place to be, and we are incredibly excited to bring that same energy to Nashville this June on an even bigger stage," said Matt Goldstein, EVP, Authentic Live, a division of Authentic Brands Group.

While the performances for the 2026 Tight Ends & Friends concert are being kept under wraps, fans can expect top-tier country music talent and very special guests.

Fans 18 and over can get their tickets now for the June 23 event taking place at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee.

‘80s Queen Kate Capshaw, 72, Is Still a Blonde Beauty 42 Years After ‘Indiana Jones'

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 10:47am

Kate Capshaw may be best known for her role in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, but the retired actress, who is married to director Steven Spielberg, rarely makes public appearances.

The retired actress, 72, rose to stardom in the role of Willie Scott opposite Harrison Ford in the 1984 hit, in which she played a nightclub singer who gets wrapped up in Indiana's adventures. While she did have a few other roles after Indiana, like The Quick and the Dead, Capshaw eventually chose to ditch life in the spotlight. Instead, she chose to raise a family with Spielberg, in addition to her children from a previous marriage. But on Tuesday, the blonde beauty made a rare public appearance alongside her husband outside The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in New York City. While it's been 42 years since she starred in Indiana Jones, Capshaw is still every bit the blonde beauty she was back in the '80s.

Capshaw's Career as a Painter

A seasoned artist, Capshaw now focuses on her art career. In 2016, she began working with youth organizations to paint the portraits of unhoused young people, she shared with Vanity Fair. But she recently made an exception when she was hired to be the artist who painted a photo of her husband for the National Portrait Gallery.

“I was very moved,” Capshaw told VF. “I felt the honor. I felt the heft. I know this man, and I know how large he is, and I also know how very intimate he is.”

To see the painting Capshaw did of her husband, check out her Instagram post.

Capshaw's daughter, Grey's Anatomy star Jessica Capshaw, shared photos of a series of her mother's paintings from the National Portrait Gallery back in 2019.

Retirees Face Some Huge Threats Thanks to Inflation Sitting at a 3-Year High

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 10:45am

If you’ve been staring at your retirement savings and wondering how it’ll hold up to this record-high inflation, there are some steps you can take to ease your mind. With the help of a savvy financial planner, the huge threats to your retirement can be mitigated, although not avoided entirely.

💰 Get all of the retirement advice you need with Parade's daily newsletter 💰

The Triple Threat

Older Gen X and younger Boomers are staring down the barrel of retirement. Planning for your post-work life may look different from what you expected. The past few years have seen record inflation with no sign of it slowing down soon.

The portfolio you thought would carry you through your Golden Years may not be looking as sustainable now. MarketWatch recently released a piece noting that retirees may need to increase withdrawals, which leads to higher taxes and faster depletion of funds. It’s a vicious triple threat that may leave some people nervous about their ability to retire at all.

Related: Foreclosures Are Spiking in the Most Popular Retirement States

Combating Inflation

There are steps you can take with your retirement investments to help combat rising inflation, especially if you’re worried about the amount of funds you have and the taxes to withdraw those funds.

Consider converting traditional IRAs and 401(k) accounts into Roth IRAs. Roth withdrawals are tax-free, so transferring money to them will shield it from future taxes. Additionally, if you spend down the highly taxable accounts first that weren’t converted, you’ll benefit from the tax-free Roth later down the line.

If you have the capability, consider qualified longevity annuity contracts (QLAC). You’ll guarantee yourself income with the returns and set monthly payments, as well as reduced taxable income in your early retirement years.

You’ll also want to get a little more aggressive with your investments. Going too aggressive could be disastrous, but not being aggressive enough could leave money on the table. It’s worth it to consult a financial advisor about the best steps to take, considering your starting capital, age until retirement, and financial goals.

Other Retirement Planning

If you currently live in a high-cost-of-living area like Hawaii or California, you may want to consider moving to an area of the country where retirement living is easier and less expensive. A little research will help you determine unlikely spots where lower and middle-income retirees are living well. While many dream of coastal living, choosing an affordable place to retire can help stretch your hard-earned portfolio for decades.

JD Vance Jokes Karoline Leavitt as Possible VP Paternity Leave Stand-In

Wed, 05/20/2026 - 10:26am

Vice President JD Vance recently stepped into the role of White House Press Secretary as Karoline Leavitt remains on maternity leave. And while stand-up comedy isn’t exactly the VP’s strong suit, he started the briefing with a joke that raised eyebrows.

What Did JD Vance Say About Karoline Leavitt? WASHINGTON, DC - APRIL 27: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt speaks during the daily press briefing in the Brady Press Briefing Room at the White House on April 27, 2026 in Washington, DC. Leavitt spoke to reporters about this weekend's events at the White House Correspondents' dinner. (Photo by Andrew Harnik/Getty Images)

After telling the White House Press corps that, “It’s cool to be here,” Vance continued, “I’m going to give a shout out, of course, to the person I am replacing today, Karoline Leavitt. Who hopefully is at home enjoying some time with her beautiful Kids. I told Karoline I would stand in for her today for the White House press briefing on the condition that when Usha has our baby in July that she would be Vice President for a couple weeks.”

Of course, Vance’s comment was only in jest. And yes, the press got the joke (as evidenced by their audible laughter).

How Long Will Karoline Leavitt Stay On Maternity Leave?

Leavitt announced her maternity leave in April, right before the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting. On April 24, she posted a message on Instagram about the upcoming birth of her daughter, adding, “Be back soon!” Little did she know that would mean the following day. While she did briefly return to her official duties immediately following the WHCD, she resumed her maternity leave ASAP and gave birth to baby Vivi on May 1.

The Press Secretary hasn’t given a specific date for her return to work. Based on recent Instagram posts, the new mom of two (she and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, also have an almost-two-year-old son, Niko) is enjoying her time off. Along with an absolutely adorable birth announcement, Leavitt shared a sweet pic of newborn Vivi cuddled on her lap to her Instagram Stories. She also posted several Mother’s Day photos of herself, her own mother, and big brother Niko with the newest member of the Leavitt-Riccio family.

When Will Usha Vance Give Birth?

As the VP said in his somewhat silly speech, his wife, Usha, is due in July of 2026. Baby Vance will join the couple’s other children, Ewan (born in 2017), Vivek (born in 2020), and Mirabel (born in 2021).

Is JD Vance a Permanent Replacement for Karloline Leavitt? No, Vance is not trading his VP role for the Press Secretary job. Instead of naming one full-time replacement, the administration is switching things up with a rotation of notable names.

Vance isn’t the only politician to take the podium recently. In early May, Secretary of State Marco Rubio served as a stand-in.

Whether it's cookouts, road trips, beach weekends, or just grabbing dinner on the go, music tends to become part of the experience once summer rolls around. Burger King even described the promotion as "the ultimate mix-and-match moment."

The Spotify offer is subject to eligibility requirements based on users' subscription history. According to the promotional details, new Spotify Premium users may qualify for longer free-trial periods, while returning subscribers may receive shorter free-trial periods.

National Hamburger Day Keeps Getting Bigger for Fast-Food Chains

Food-themed holidays have increasingly become major promotional events for restaurant chains, especially as loyalty apps continue driving more fast-food purchases.

National Hamburger Day has quietly become one of the biggest examples.

App-exclusive freebies, rewards points, and limited-time meal deals now dominate many of these campaigns, giving chains a reason to boost app engagement while customers score inexpensive meals or free add-ons.

Burger King's latest promotion checks a lot of the boxes people tend to look for:

  • low purchase requirement
  • free food
  • loyalty rewards
  • bonus beyond food

And while plenty of chains offer burger discounts around May 28, Burger King's Spotify tie-in helps this one stand out a little more than the standard "free sandwich" promotion.

At the very least, it may be one of the few National Hamburger Day deals that comes with its own playlist energy.
