Dermatologists Say This Is the Biggest Mistake People Make When Trying To Fix 'Ozempic Face'

A friend of mine spent last year on a GLP-1, lost a lot of weight and felt fantastic. Her doctor was thrilled. Then people started asking if she was getting enough sleep. Nobody meant anything by it, but she knew what they were seeing.

Her cheeks had flattened, her under-eyes had gone a little hollow and the skin along her jaw had loosened in a way it never had before. She did what most of us would do, which is panic-Google at 11 p.m., buy a new vitamin C serum and a retinol and then book a filler consultation for the following week.

That last part is where things tend to go sideways. Rapid weight loss and facial volume loss are real, and so is the urge to fix it immediately. But when we asked 10 (yes, 10!) dermatologists, cosmetic physicians and facial plastic surgeons about Ozempic face fixes, dermatologists and surgeons alike pointed to the same misstep.

Our esteemed experts are Dr. Bertha Baum, Dr. Morgana Colombo, Dr. Danny Guo, Dr. Chang Son, Dr. Alicia Zalka, Dr. Dmitriy Schwarzburg, Dr. Daniel Gould, Dr. Robert Schwarcz, Dr. Johnny Franco and Dr. Kimberly Lee. Here’s what they want you to know before you book anything.

What Is Ozempic Face—and Why Does Rapid Weight Loss Cause Facial Volume Loss?

First things first. “Ozempic face” isn’t a medical diagnosis, and it isn’t exclusive to one drug. Dr. Zalka would rather we all call it something else entirely. “It is important to note that this is really ‘rapid weight loss face,’ as Ozempic is not the only cause,” she says.

The deal is that your face is built on fat compartments that give it structure. When those shrink quickly, Dr. Schwarzburg says the cheeks flatten, the temples hollow, the jawline loses definition and mild laxity you never noticed suddenly becomes obvious. “The medication itself is not selectively aging the face,” he adds.

The problem is the pace. Dr. Gould explains that when weight comes off gradually, skin has time to reorganize and contract around the loss. On a GLP-1, that timeline gets compressed. “Skin is biologically capable of adapting to volume loss, but collagen remodeling takes time,” he tells Parade.

Dr. Lee shares that collagen and elasticity start declining around 30, so anyone losing 20 or 30 pounds later in life is working with less in reserve to begin with. Dr. Colombo adds that skin quality itself takes a hit during rapid loss, which is why laxity needs its own attention rather than being lumped in with volume.

Dr. Franco, a plastic surgeon who has lost around 90 pounds on a GLP-1 himself, says the speed is what has reshaped his practice. “We have never seen this many patients lose this much weight this quickly,” he says. He’s now treating people in their 20s and 30s for deflation and laxity he used to see in patients decades older.

The No. 1 Mistake People Make When Trying To Fix Ozempic Face

The number one mistake is rushing into fillers too soon. Dr. Schwarzburg says some patients try to recreate every bit of lost fat with “6, 8, or 10 syringes of filler at once that can easily make the face look heavy or overfilled,” he says, without touching the laxity that came along with the weight loss.

His preference is 1 or 2 syringes placed where structural support is actually gone, with more added gradually if the face asks for it.

According to Dr. Lee, weight loss changes involve facial fat, skin quality and elasticity, and each of those problems needs its own approach. Treating a multi-layer problem like a one-layer problem is how people end up disappointed. To that end, Dr. Baum says the goal isn’t recreating every ounce of fat, it’s restoring proportion and support strategically while preserving the patient’s own anatomy.

Dr. Gould recommends taking photos, documenting the process and telling your provider about your aesthetic goals early so that you have a plan. In his experience, the face often looks better six months after weight stabilizes than it did at the peak of rapid loss.

Dr. Guo says you can prevent a lot of these issues with a slower weight loss plan.

Why This Mistake Accelerates Facial Sagging and Makes Ozempic Face Look Worse

If you’re still losing, your face is still moving. Dr. Colombo says adding a lot of filler mid-process means “you are treating a moving target.”

Another 10 or 20 pounds can change the cheeks, temples and jawline enough that yesterday’s perfect placement reads as heavy today, according to Dr. Schwarzburg, who prefers patients be near goal weight and stable for about three to six months before major work.

There’s also a mismatch problem. Ozempic face is generalized volume loss, and filler is built for localized re-volumizing. Chasing the former with the latter gets expensive and unnatural fast, Dr. Guo says. Dr. Son adds that filler does nothing for laxity in the upper layers of skin, and Dr. Schwarcz warns that filler placed during active weight loss can end up looking uneven or misplaced once everything settles.

There is one more thing to factor in: Dr. Gould notes that people who stop a GLP-1 may regain weight, which means facial volume could return on its own. That’s worth thinking through before you commit to volumizing treatments.

Collagen-Building Skincare and Treatments Dermatologists Actually Recommend Instead

The better strategy is rebuilding the skin rather than inflating the face. Here’s how to fix Ozempic face naturally, or at least how to give your skin its best shot while the scale is still moving.

At-home skincare for sagging skin during weight loss

Dr. Guo recommends SPF, retinoids and vitamin C, plus a red light LED mask as an optional add-on.

A retinoid is the most evidence-backed topical for collagen support, but it demands consistency. Dr. Schwarzburg tells patients to give it three to six months of regular use before judging results.

If your skin has gotten dry or reactive on a GLP-1, Dr. Lee suggests dialing back frequency instead of quitting. Dr. Schwarcz recommends a gentler on-ramp of a low-strength retinol a few nights a week layered with a rich moisturizer, applied at night, with your vitamin C saved for mornings under SPF.

Vitamin C earns its spot for antioxidant protection and brightening, and Dr. Colombo rounds out her at-home lineup with peptides and a ceramide moisturizer to keep the barrier steady. Dr. Zalka reaches for hyaluronic acid serums and ceramide creams, describing peptides as “the building blocks for collagen structure.”

In-office treatments that build collagen instead of adding volume

This is where the Sculptra vs. filler conversation gets interesting, because biostimulators work differently. They prompt your body to build its own collagen gradually rather than filling a hollow on the spot. Dr. Zalka likes Sculptra for gradual, whole-face support, along with microneedling.

Dr. Baum likes microneedling because it triggers the skin’s own repair response. Dr. Colombo’s toolbox includes resurfacing lasers, radiofrequency microneedling or ultrasound tightening and biostimulatory injectables, chosen case by case.

Nobody is anti-filler, to be clear. Dr. Baum, Dr. Guo and Dr. Colombo all say strategic filler has a place when there’s a true structural deficit, ideally combined with lasers, biostimulators and skin boosters. For larger volume restoration, Dr. Schwarcz says fat grafting is ideal. Filler should be one tool in the box, not the whole box.

When To See a Dermatologist About Managing Facial Changes on a GLP-1

Sooner than you think. “Ideally before it has even happened!” Dr. Guo says. He takes before photos at that first visit so there’s a record of what a patient’s face naturally looks like, then builds a long-term plan around it.

Dr. Lee wants people to know that a persistent rash, severe dryness, ongoing hair loss and wounds that aren’t healing are all reasons to be seen by a doctor, rather than to keep layering on serums. And she’s firm that nobody should stop an effective medication over facial changes.

People shouldn’t fear GLP-1 medications because of Ozempic face, Dr. Colombo says, since these changes can be managed well with an individualized plan. Cosmetic treatment should complement your health journey, not compete with it. “We don’t want someone to feel that achieving a healthier weight means they now need to ‘fix’ their face,” Dr. Baum explains.

For the record, my friend canceled the filler appointment. She also started a retinoid, bought a ceramide moisturizer and booked a consultation for later this year, once her weight has been stable for a while. She also stopped taking sleep-related comments personally, which may be the strongest collagen support of all.

NBA legend Michael Jordan made a slew of historic moments on the court, but the Chicago Bulls star has also reached a remarkable milestone off the court, celebrating his 60th birthday with a momentous $10 million donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Apart from his longstanding partnership with brands such as Nike, which has become one of the most famous and lucrative brand relationships in sports history, the six-time NBA champion also has a longstanding connection to various nonprofit and charitable organizations.

Among the organizations he has supported for decades is the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Jordan’s support for the charity dates back to 1989, during the early years of his career with the Bulls.

Deeply moved by the organization’s mission to fulfill life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, the retired NBA player has been personally involved with the foundation for decades.

“In the years since, he has granted hundreds of wishes to children all over the world, becoming one of the all-time most requested celebrity wish granters,” as cited by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. “He remains one of the organization’s most popular wish requests. In 2008, he was named Make-A-Wish Chief Wish Ambassador for the life-changing impact he has had on wish kids and their families.”

Years after his retirement in 2003, Jordan continued his active involvement with the foundation and was appointed Chief Wish Ambassador in 2008.

In 2023, Jordan not only marked a personal milestone but also celebrated his 60th birthday with a record-setting $10 million donation.

The gift not only honored his 60th birthday but also became the largest individual donation in Make-A-Wish’s 43-year history.

“For the past 34 years, it’s been an honor to partner with Make-A-Wish and help bring a smile and happiness to so many kids,” the Hall of Famer said. “Witnessing their strength and resilience during such a tough time in their lives has truly been an inspiration. I can’t think of a better birthday gift than seeing others join me in supporting Make-A-Wish so that every child can experience the magic of having their wish come true.”

Moreover, even before his 60th birthday, Jordan had donated more than $5 million for the organization.

This selfless gesture from Jordan underscored his longstanding commitment to granting wishes for children with critical illnesses and giving them moments of hope during difficult times.

1975 Hit, Sung by Jamaican-Born Errol Brown of Hot Chocolate, Is Still a Party Favorite 51 Years Later

Hot Chocolate was a soul band that formed in the late ’60s and found fame years later with a hit song about love that has since become a sexy, sultry favorite for romance and fun.

At some point in time, everyone has heard the track “You Sexy Thing,” which was released in 1975 by Hot Chocolate. It’s been a staple for sexual rendezvous, date nights, and plenty more. It was released in October of that year as the second single from their self-titled album.

“You Sexy Thing” landed notably high on the charts at No.3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 6 on the Hot Soul Singles chart. It also did well overseas with a No. 2 on the UK chart and in the top 5 in other countries.

Hot Chocolate was formed in 1969 by Jamaican-born singer Errol Brown and Tony Wilson. They gained John Lennon‘s attention when they did a reggae cover of “Give Peace a Chance” that landed them a record deal with Apple. It wasn’t long before the group left and joined RAK Records instead, headed by Mickie Most. They released various hit singles, like “Brother Louie” and “Emma” which became popular in the U.S.

Brown originally developed “You Sexy Thing” for his wife as a mash note, or romantic love letter, and it became something more. With Most as the group’s producer, he decided to release the track as the B-side to a ballad titled “Blue Night.” He felt “You Sexy Thing” wasn’t going to be a hit for Hot Chocolate.

“Well, ‘You Sexy Thing’ has a life of its OWN! I first took it to Mickey, strummed it on my guitar… And, once I did a verse and chorus, he was like That’s a smash!’. Which is what I was HOPING he’d say! But then, while we were in the studio doing it, he came up to me and said, ‘It’s not happening,'” explained Brown to Blues and Soul.

“So, with us doing another song at the same session called ‘Blue Night’, he decided to follow-up ‘Emma’ in America with ‘Blue Night’ and put out ‘Sexy Thing’ on the B-side. But then ‘Blue Night’ became probably the worst flop we’d ever had! “

Most was proven wrong about the track and had Hot Chocolate later re-record and re-release the track months later under his label. It was on track to become a No.1 hit on the charts before Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” skyrocketed. Brown said it was a feel-good song that just worked.

“Because it’s such a joyous song! I remember when I thought of the title I had a shiver go through me! ‘Cause it was such a nice way of using sex in a title without it being crude. You know, “you sexy thing” is a hook that’ll last for decades and decades, because it’s such a nice, pleasant thing to say to somebody! Which is why that song will always do well,” he explained.

The track gained later fame when it was included in the 1997 British comedy film, The Full Monty. It’s had a few resurgences over the years through commercials and TV series like The Office, Supernatural, and more.

Ivanka Trump Shares Rare Family Photos From Her Grandmother’s 100th Birthday Celebration, With Special Wishes From These Unexpected Stars

Ivanka Trump just celebrated her “Babi’s” 100th birthday with a sun-soaked backyard bash. And when the First Daughter shared photos of the family-filled Miami fête in an Instagram post, the weekend’s events caught the attention of a few famous faces.

Fans and celebs flocked to the post, wishing “Babi” the best. Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt commented, “So beautiful!” But that’s not all. Supermodel Gisele Bündchen wrote, “What a blessing. Viva Babi!”, and rocker Sammy Hagar added a string of applauding hands emojis.

Affectionately known as Babi, Marie Zelníčková is the mother of the late Ivana Trump, President Donald Trump’s ex-wife. Born in Czechoslovakia, Zelníčková was a constant presence in Ivanka’s life as a child. During an appearance on ‘The Diary Of A CEO’ podcast last April, she revealed, “My grandmother, and grandfather before he passed, on my mother’s side really raised us. My grandmother cooked every meal we ate for, you know, most of my childhood. She taught me a type of unconditional love and tenderness.”

Ivanka continued, “And I think more than anything, she was just this, unbelievably nurturing. I’d come home from school, and before I’d be out of the shower, she would have laundered my clothes and folded them and put them back on my bed. She was always feeding me, and food for her was like an expression of love.”

In 2021, Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, moved their family from Washington, D.C., to Miami, Florida. Around that time, “Babi” came to live with the couple and their three children: Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore.

“I feel so strongly for me and my children to have the experience to be there for her, in just like a small fraction of the way she was there for me, is such an extraordinary privilege. And for them to grow up with her at our table every single meal each night. And her telling her stories and stories of my mother who they sadly didn’t get to know,” said Ivanka. The usually composed 44-year-old teared up, adding, “I have a lot of love for this woman.”

Zelničková just turned 100, and her granddaughter’s recent post says it all: “100 years of life, love, family, and memories.” While Ivanka is front and center, she wasn’t the only Trump at the weekend party. Along with her three children and her husband, big brother Donald Trump Jr., his wife Bettina Trump, his children, younger brother Eric Trump, his wife Lara Trump, and their children also joined in the festivities.

Even though Ivana passed away in 2022 at the age of 73, she was with her children, grandchildren, and mother in spirit, according to Ivanka: “My mother, her beloved daughter, was deeply missed, but her love and presence were felt throughout the day in the stories we shared and in the family she loved so fiercely.”

What began as some after-work tinkering became a revolutionary new way to watch movies, shaping how people would spend time together and enjoy films for decades to come.

Richard Hollingshead was working at his father’s automotive chemical company in New Jersey when he came up with the concept of the drive-in theater. The idea, as the story goes, came to him as he tried to find a way for his mother to watch movies comfortably.

Speaking to Smithsonian Magazine, Jim Kopp of the United Drive-in Theatre Owners Association explained, “His mother was—how shall I say it?—rather large for indoor theater seats. So he stuck her in a car and put a 1928 projector on the hood of the car, and tied two sheets to trees in his yard.”

The historical 66 Drive-In opened in 1949 on Route 66 in Carthage, Missouri. The theater still operates.

He experimented in his own driveway in Camden, New Jersey, testing out different ideas. One involved using sprinklers to simulate rain. There was also the challenge of figuring out how to space cars properly so each could see the screen. He addressed this problem by spacing the cars a certain distance apart and placing blocks and ramps under the front wheels, so those farther from the screen wouldn’t have their view blocked by those in front.

In May of 1933, Hollingshead’s patent was approved. A month later, his first “park-in” theater (as they were called at the time) opened in Camden, New Jersey, and became the world’s first patented drive-in theater, with room for 400 cars.

According to the book Drive-in Theaters: A History from Their Inception in 1933, during the construction of the first theater, Hollingshead enthused that drive-in theaters are unique because “the whole family is welcome, regardless of how noisy the children are.”

After a lawsuit overturned his patent in 1949, drive-ins appeared across the country. Drive-ins grew in popularity after WWII as people looked to indulge again and spend time with their families. It peaked in the late 1950s to mid-1960s, with roughly 5,000 theaters nationwide.

One of the largest drive-in theaters was the All-Weather Drive-In of Copiague, New York. On a 28-acre lot, it had space for 2,500 cars, a full-service restaurant, and a kid’s playground.

Unfortunately, drive-in theaters lost popularity over time because of the rise of walk-in theaters, streaming services, and rising real estate costs. The History Channel estimates that fewer than 500 drive-in theaters still operate today; some sources, like New York Film Academy, have put that figure at over 300.

Regardless of the exact number, they’re far less popular than during their heyday in the ’50s and ’60s. D. Vogel, owner of the Bengies Drive-In, told Smithsonian Magazine that “there’s not enough income in it or else you’d see AMC or others getting drive-ins. It’s hard-earned money.”

For many people, the drive-in theater serves as a nostalgic beacon of times past. They represent a simpler time when friends, couples, and families could gather in their cars to watch something together under the starlight. Hollingshead’s patented invention, created to make his mother feel included, has brought people together for decades.

Of course, this isn’t just a case of style over substance. Caraway says the machine uses a controlled bloom and even water distribution, with brewing temperatures between 195 and 205 degrees. The whole thing is operated with a single dial, which feels refreshingly uncomplicated in a world where some coffee makers seem to require a technology degree.

A few days after one of the cast members of the beloved 1990s sitcom Saved by the Bell, Dennis Haskins, died at the age of 75, one of the show’s main cast members finally broke her silence to comment on the emotional and unexpected death.

Elizabeth Berkley, who played one of the main students on the show named Jessie Spano, took to Instagram on Oct. 2 to share her thoughts on Haskins’ death. She posted a photo of the entire main cast of the show on her account, starting her tribute by highlighting how meaningful and important this time of her life was.

Berkley wrote, “I started Saved by the Bell when I was 15 years old. We were six teenagers at such a formative and impressionable time in our lives.” Going on, she turned her focus to Haskins, noting how great an influence he was on them all.

“Dennis was kind, protective and deeply caring,” she said. “He gave us space to be ourselves and to figure out who we were becoming, while always making us feel that he was there if we needed him. He treated us as equals , as the professionals that we were .He respected and trusted us.”

Berkley also praised Haskins’ acting and how devoted he was to the job. The actress continued her message by declaring, “Mr. Belding couldn’t have been anyone else,” something many fans echoed in the comments.

“So much of what made him so loved came from Dennis’s inherent goodness ,the same goodness we were lucky enough to receive and be around every day,” Berkley concluded.

90-Foot Hawaii Landmark Collapses Into Pacific Ocean After 550 Years

A dramatic transformation has taken place along one of Hawaii’s most rugged coastlines after an iconic 90-foot natural landmark collapsed into the Pacific Ocean.

Hōlei Sea Arch, located in Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island, is no longer standing, the National Park Service announced on Oct. 1.

The massive lava rock formation was still standing on Wednesday, Sept. 23, but had collapsed by the night of Sunday, Sept. 27, according to park officials.

The exact time of the collapse is unknown. The National Park Service said it could have occurred while the park was temporarily closed during Tropical Storm Nolo.

The arch extended from steep sea cliffs into the Pacific Ocean and stood approximately 90 feet tall. It was carved into a roughly 550-year-old ancient lava flow through differential erosion, in which waves gradually wear away layers of rock of varying hardness.

Its disappearance may be dramatic, but it was not entirely unexpected.

The National Park Service had previously described Hōlei Sea Arch as a temporary formation with a limited lifespan, noting that the same relentless erosion that created the landmark would eventually cause it to crumble into the ocean.

The coastline surrounding Hōlei Sea Arch had also shown signs of instability for years.

Earthquakes associated with the 2018 Kīlauea eruption and summit collapse damaged cliffs near the arch. New cracks and instability led officials to close the original viewing area in January 2020, with a new viewing area farther from the cliff edge opening that March.

Later in 2020, massive surf from Tropical Storm Darby broke a chunk of rock from the lower portion of the arch.

While Hōlei Sea Arch disappeared during the period surrounding Tropical Storm Nolo, park officials have not said that the storm caused the collapse.

The National Park Service is now warning visitors to stay away from unstable cliff edges near the former arch. Officials said photos circulating on social media have shown people entering the closed area, potentially putting both themselves and first responders at risk.

The dramatic before-and-after images show just how much the coastline has changed. Where the enormous arch once extended into the Pacific, visitors now see the jagged remnants of the sea cliff.

The transformation is also part of a natural process that continues along Hawaii’s volcanic coastline.

According to the National Park Service, sea arches form when waves repeatedly strike sea cliffs and caves, gradually eroding weaker rock. But that erosion doesn’t stop once an arch forms. Waves continue attacking the remaining rock until the bridge eventually collapses.

Other sea arches can eventually form as the coastline continues to retreat and evolve.

For visitors hoping to see what remains of Hōlei Sea Arch, park officials are emphasizing that the surrounding cliffs remain unstable and could collapse without warning.

Costco Is Opening New Warehouses This October and Here’s Where

Costco shoppers in several states could soon have a new warehouse closer to home. According to the retailer’s list of upcoming locations, five U.S. openings are scheduled for October 2026, followed by nine more across the United States and Canada in November.

This October, Costco plans to open in Lee’s Summit, Missouri; The Colony, Texas; Amherst, New York; Lawrence, Kansas; and Camarillo, California. For people living nearby, that could mean a shorter drive to stock up on groceries and household essentials.

According to FinanceBuzz, several October locations already have specific opening dates. The outlet lists Lee’s Summit, Missouri, for this October 2 at 10 SE Oldham Parkway, followed by Amherst, New York, on October 26 at 4230 Ridge Lea Road.

Lawrence, Kansas, is scheduled to open October 29 at 6200 Mercato Drive, with doors opening at 8 a.m. Camarillo, California, is listed for October 30 at Camarillo Town Center, south of the 101 Freeway.

The Colony, Texas, is also scheduled for October. Its warehouse will be in Grandscape, near Spring Creek Parkway and Grandscape Boulevard, although FinanceBuzz says an exact opening date has not been announced.

Shoppers nearby can already fill up their tanks and get a look at the new locations before the warehouses open. According to FinanceBuzz, Amherst’s gas station opened September 4, while Camarillo’s has been operating since May 1.

November’s lineup includes South Meridian, Idaho; Vallejo, California; Newport News, Virginia; and Franklin, Wisconsin. Chandler, Arizona, is listed as a Business Center.

Canadian shoppers have four openings to look out for in November: northeast Edmonton and Lloydminster in Alberta, and East Windsor and Wasaga Beach in Ontario.

Get Prescriptions From Canada? An Oct. 22 Deadline Could Affect Your Orders

For some U.S. residents, ordering prescription medications from Canadian pharmacies is primarily a matter of affordability. Prescription drug prices in the United States can be substantially higher than those in Canada, prompting patients to explore options across the border, particularly for medications they need to take regularly to manage chronic conditions. People without comprehensive insurance coverage, those facing high deductibles or copayments and patients whose prescriptions are not fully covered by their plans are especially motivated to seek lower-cost alternatives.

However, a customs change scheduled to take effect on Oct. 22 makes this cost-cutting option significantly harder.

“Right now, a prescription mailed from Canada usually gets through customs with almost no paperwork,” says Kyle Peacock, Principal at Peacock Tariff Consulting. “Starting Oct. 22, that shortcut ends for medications sent by mail. Each package will need a proper customs filing, done by the buyer or a licensed customs broker. In short, a small refill now needs the same kind of import paperwork as a business shipment.”

Under the new rule, packages containing items that require review by another government agency, such as the FDA, may be subject to different entry requirements. That could include food, drugs, cosmetics and other products that require government inspection or oversight during shipping.

Paul Pruitt, co-founder of SHARx, a procurement management solution for high-cost prescription drugs, doesn’t think the new policy was intended to target medications, but they are certainly affected.

“The new process is far more burdensome and difficult,” Pruitt says. “While we don’t believe the FDA intends to change its procedures for clearing these packages, the added formality is the real issue. The paperwork is complicated. It’s not impossible, but for most people, it might as well be. They simply won’t know how to navigate the process.”

Who Will Be Affected Most by the New Customs Policy?

Pruitt believes Canadian pharmacies offering prescription-by-mail services will be affected, but the greater impact will fall on U.S. consumers.

“Millions of Americans rely on Canada and other countries for more affordable access to medications, including pet medications,” he says. “People may turn to Canadian pharmacies for something as simple as a dog’s diabetes medication because the costs are significantly lower. From pet medications to human prescriptions, many people depend on more affordable access to inhalers, diabetes medications and heart medications that might cost $500 to $1,000 in the United States but a third of that price internationally.”

What to Do If You Think Your Prescription Deliveries May Be Interrupted

Pharmacies advise customers to stock up on medications before the changes take effect; however, this isn’t necessarily practical for many customers. First, medications have expiration dates and can lose potency over time. On top of that, doses and prescriptions can change.

Peacock suggests asking your pharmacy exactly how they’ll ship after Oct. 22 and contacting your doctor about a short backup supply from a U.S. pharmacy.

“Never stop a medication like a blood thinner because a package is late,” Peacock warns. “Keep your prescription and tracking information in case your package is held.

Pruitt encourages people to share their concerns with their members of Congress.

“Access to medications is important, and this requirement could be counterproductive to that goal,” he says. “Perhaps the administration will find a way to delay the requirement for medications or continue allowing these shipments, but some action needs to be taken.”

I do believe you can fill those shoes of a big, powerful, beautiful, amazing, soulful, bluesy, incredible voice. And we do well here on Team Adam with those.”

Next up to try to woo Nina to her team was Queen Latifah, who pulled out the New York connection cheering, “Let’s go Knicks! I had to get that out of the way.” Then she asked Nina to tell her more about herself.

“My whole family actually works in theater, so I grew up singing all the time with my parents and my brother all around the piano just having a jam sesh,” Nina answered.

“I love that,” Queen said. “One of the things I love most about this performance was your command of that song. By the time that song was over and the way you threw your head, you were telling us all what you needed. Did we not hear what she needed? Love her like a man. I believed you. You had command. I am the Queen L-A-T-I-F-A-H in command. I do believe that together we can command The Voice. The only reason it took me so long to turn was I just wanted the music to hurry up and play so I could hear your voice. I was like, ‘OK, we got some blues, we’re going to get into it now,’ and then you come on singing like that. You’re going to do that to that song in front of all of us. I want to see you do it again and again and again on my team if you’ll have me as a coach.”

Finally, it was Riley’s turn to speak. He said, “This is not an easy thing to do to come out here in front of everybody, in front of the coaches, and win everybody over, but you did, so you can relax. You did a great job. Congratulations. Now you’ve got to pick.”

Nina is currently performing in the national tour of The Great Gatsby on Broadway, following is what she had to say in her video package.

“The first audition that I ever went to was at Radio City Music Hall with Hugh Jackman singing ‘Never Enough’ from The Greatest Showman. Doing that with Hugh Jackman was very telling for me that I needed to do this. I’d spent a lot of my career in an ensemble setting and this is quite different because it is just me on stage. This feels like the moment where I’m really committing to taking more of a pop route and so, I think, doing The Voice is a huge deal.”

Tiffany first burst onto the scene as a 15-year-old back during the summer of 1987 thanks to her super-catchy cover of “I Think We’re Alone Now.” She went on to enjoy additional success with songs like “Could’ve Been,” “I Saw Him Standing There,” and “All This Time.”

Now, Tiffany — whose full name is Tiffany Darwish — is celebrating her birthday today and turning 55 years old… and she’s just as fabulous as ever!

Of course, Tiffany’s career didn’t end in the ’80s. Far from it! She’s continued to release music, and followed her initial self-titled album and 1988’s Hold an Old Friend’s Hand with New Inside (1990), Dreams Never Die (1993), The Color of Silence (2000), Dust Off and Dance (2005), Just Me (2007), and Rose Tattoo (2011), as well as A Million Miles (2016), Pieces of Me (2018), and Shadows (2022).

On top of that, she’s shown off her acting skills in films like Necrosis (2009), Mega Piranha (2010), and Mega Python vs. Gatoroid (2011).

That’s not to overlook her appearances on reality TV shows such as Celebrity Fit Club (2007), Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling (2008), Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off (2012), and both Celebrity Wife Swap and What Not to Wear in 2013. We’re not done yet! She also popped up on Australia’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! (2018) and the UK’s The Masked Singer (2024).

More recently, Tiffany starred in Spandex The Musical, which could be seen during a 10-performance run in September at Asylum NYC.

“In neon-soaked Orlando, a washed-up gymnast and an overly-nice housewife [Linda Gustafson, played by Tiffany] step into a cutthroat aerobics studio ruled by a power-hungry fitness king,” the production’s website explains. “Armed with nothing more than leg warmers and a dream, they’re headed for the greatest showdown that ever was: the 1988 Crystal Light National Aerobics Championship, hosted by Alan Thicke.”

“Stepping onto the Off-Broadway stage in Spandex The Musical feels like a true full-circle moment for me,” Tiffany told People in a statement back in July. “Before music came into my life, I was a dancer and an actor, and those dreams were put on hold when ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ took off and my recording career began.”

She continued by saying, “I’ve always believed the right role would find me, and the moment I read the script, I knew Linda was that character.”

“Just as Linda discovers a new passion through aerobics that changes her life, I’ve found exciting new passions beyond music through my Pop Life cookbook, ‘Let’s Food With Tiffany’ events, and now returning to acting on stage,” she also told People. “It’s a reminder that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself.”

Nine years after Tom Petty’s death, his daughter Adria Petty is marking the anniversary with a poignant tribute to her father, sharing a bittersweet message about the time they spent together and the memories they never got to make. “We had a lot more fun to have,” she wrote, offering a deeply personal glimpse into her grief and the bond they shared. The post comes nearly a decade after the rock icon died at 66, leaving behind a catalog of beloved hits and a family still remembering the man behind the music.

The rocker was just 66 when he died on October 2, 2017, shocking fans around the world and leaving his wife and two daughters with a loss still felt today. The singer-songwriter had just wrapped up a 40th-anniversary tour with his band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and was looking ahead to making more music. His final performance took place at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on September 25, 2017, just one week before his death.

Petty suffered cardiac arrest at his Malibu home and was rushed to the hospital, where he later died. His family revealed that his death was caused by an accidental drug overdose involving prescription medications he was taking to manage pain. Petty had been dealing with several health issues, including a fractured hip. His family also shared that he continued to perform despite being in significant pain because he was committed to his fans.

His daughter’s post is a reminder of the family man behind the hit music.

Tom Petty was a music icon whose career spanned more than four decades, but to his two daughters, Adria and Annakim, he was simply Dad. He was also a stepfather to Dylan, the son of his second wife, Dana York.

Petty took pride in his role as a father and was especially close to his daughters. In a 2018 interview, Adria recalled how her dad was simply “Grandpa Tommy” to her young daughter, Everly.

After his death, Adria helped oversee the release of An American Treasure, a collection of previously unreleased recordings and rarities that offered a deeper look at her father’s music and creative process.

Petty’s career spanned more than four decades. As the frontman of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, he helped create some of the most treasured songs in American rock, including “American Girl,” “Refugee,” “Free Fallin'” and “I Won’t Back Down.” He also found success as a solo artist and as a member of the Traveling Wilburys, the supergroup that included Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Roy Orbison and Jeff Lynne.

Petty’s influence on rock music was significant, but his impact extended beyond the stage. For his family, his most personal legacy is the love and memories he shared with the people closest to him. Nearly a decade after his death, Adria’s tribute offers a reminder of the father behind the famous songs.

When museum conservator Emily Porter (Gonzalo) restores a centuries-old statue of legendary, Medieval knight Sir Griffin de Beauford (Trevena), one unexpected kiss brings him magically back to life and turns her carefully ordered world upside down. As Emily helps the chivalrous time-traveler navigate modern Chicago, pumpkin spice lattes, a Halloween Medieval Fayre, and an FBI investigation led by her ex-husband, she begins to rediscover the wonder and romance she thought she had left behind. But with a rare celestial conjunction approaching and Griffin’s fate hanging in the balance, Emily must decide whether the safest heart is one kept guarded or one brave enough to believe in a love written in the stars.

She has also starred in the TNT reboot of Dallas, as well as ABC’s Eli Stone opposite Jonny Lee Miller and Natasha Henstridge. Originally from Buenos Aires, Gonzalo is fluent in Spanish.

James Trevena hails from New Zealand and previously appeared in Hallmark’s Lost in Paradise. Prior to pursuing acting full time, Trevena played hockey in Germany for three years.
