Multiple Artists Pull Out of Jerry Seinfeld-Headlined Comedy Festival After Comedian's Controversial Statements
Multiple acts originally set to participate in a comedy festival in Portugal have announced they will no longer appear at the event, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Per THR, the MEO Commedia a La Carte Fest (AKA the Lisbon International Humour Festival) is currently being rocked by several attendees dropping out from the Jerry Seinfeld-headlined event.
For instance, actress Inês Aires Pereira revealed that her show Namastê was being removed from the festival this past Saturday. Regarding the reason for her cancellation, Pereira said that “one of the names [featured at the festival] insistently defends ideas and acts that I consider indefensible.”
Pereira followed up by posting on social media, “We cannot relativize or normalize a genocide,” likely referencing the continuing war in Gaza.
Other acts to drop out of the festival include “Tributo Pop”, the group Conjunto Cuca Monga, comedian Pedro Tochas and visual artist Vhils. Additionally, the comedy duo Cebola Mol, comprised of members Eduardo Madeira and Filipe Homem Fonseca, shared they were no longer appearing at the festival, writing on social media, “We will celebrate justice, freedom and joy with you on another occasion.”
The cancellations come after Jerry Seinfeld’s outspoken support of Israel during the war on Iran resulted in a fair amount of public scrutiny for the beloved stand-up comedian.
Most notably, the comedian received significant controversy for likening the Free Palestine movement to the Ku Klux Klan during an event at Duke University last year.
“Free Palestine is, to me, just — you’re free to say you don’t like Jews,” Seinfeld said at the time. “Just say you don’t like Jews. By saying ‘Free Palestine,’ you’re not admitting what you really think. So it’s actually — compared to the Ku Klux Klan, I’m actually thinking the Klan is actually a little better here because they can come right out and say, ‘We don’t like Blacks, we don’t like Jews.’ Okay, that’s honest.”

Jaz lost muscle mass while using a GLP-1 and underwent weight loss surgery, resulting in several falls and ongoing mobility issues. This fear of ending up back at the hospital left her unwilling to move from her bedroom to the living room during the birthday party.
“We need to get some shots popping,” Nesha declared in the clip, as friends and family sat near Jaz on her bed. “It’s going to be about 5 minutes, probably 5 minutes until the food is ready. Make your way out to the living room!”
Jaz’s sister, Shay, then said, “Jaz, you want to go to the living room?” to which Jaz replied that she didn’t. “I’m good,” she insisted.
In a confessional with producers, Shay shared, “I know Jaz has been unable to walk for a minute, but she’s not paralyzed. So with the help of us and her family, I feel like she can get up.”
Back in the bedroom, Shay pointed out that five people were there to help her move from the bedroom to the living room. “Maybe I should go get the wheelchair right now,” she said.
“Maybe you shouldn’t go get the wheelchair,” Jaz replied.
‘1000-Lb Roomies’ Jaz Family Fears the Worst After She Refuses to Leave Bed (Exclusive Clip) (1:41)To producers, Shay added, “I just feel like at this moment, she’s being stubborn,” before getting emotional. “My biggest fear is her in bed. If she stays there, who knows what will happen.”
Another woman at the birthday party shared, “I do give Jaz tough love, but it’s coming from a good spot. And I’m pushing her because I don’t want her stuck in that bed. I don’t want that bed to be her life.”
That’s when Jaz revealed why she refused help in moving to the living room.
“If any of my friends helped me to try and stand up and get into the wheelchair, I don’t think it would work,” she explained. “Because they’re not professionals. You can really hurt yourself, you know what I’m saying? It can really f–k you up. And I’m not celebrating my birthday in no god d–n hospital.”

Teri Hatcher Hasn’t Been on a Date in Seven Years. What She Says About Her Love Life
Teri Hatcher is opening up about her quiet dating life.
The beloved actress, 61, who got her start on The Love Boat in the ’80s, went on to star in the ABC television series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman as the Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane alongside Dean Cain, who played Superman and Clark Kent. Hatcher resurrected her career with her starring role in the iconic ensemble Desperate Housewives, on which she played Susan Mayer. Now living in London to play Miranda Priestly in the West End production of The Devil Wears Prada, the star just told HELLO! that she hasn’t been on a date in 7 years.
“Oh my god, I’m so single. I go through life with an open heart and I would never say never, but I don’t date. I don’t go on dates, I don’t look to go on dates. I haven’t been on a date in… I don’t think I’m exaggerating if I say seven years. I have such a giant community of beautiful friends and most of my girlfriends who are my age I’ve known for at least 30 years, and they’re mostly married,” she noted, adding that she did have a six-month relationship with a British man.
“There really isn’t a new source of people. Sometimes if I go to a charity event, I’ll think, “Oh, maybe I’ll meet a like-minded person that cares about curing cancer,” but I don’t,” she continued.

Hatcher Called Out Celebs Who Deny Plastic SurgeryLast year, Hatcher made a bold statement about how she wants her fellow celebrities who deny they’ve had plastic surgery to just be honest.
In her appearance on an episode of The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show, hosted by Michael and Lauryn Bosstick, Hatcher got candid about why she wants people to tell the truth.
“Being a woman is hard…aging is hard,” Hatcher explained, PEOPLE reported. That said, she went on to say that she doesn’t “love when people aren’t truthful about [getting cosmetic work done]. I respect your privacy, but the only reason is when you’re famous and you lie, you’re sort of making the rest of us feel bad about ourselves, because we look at you and we go, ‘I guess I’m not drinking enough water’ and that is unfair.”
Hatcher said that “many of us are comparing ourselves to what this fake perfect life that people are putting out on their Instagrams or Facebooks.”
She Feels Aging is Hard EnoughStarting her sixties, Hatcher believes aging is difficult enough without hearing false statements from everyone.
“When I look in the mirror and I think [about] what is lacking, what am I still struggling with, what would I like to be better at…how can I find peace…my answer is not a facelift. My answer to myself is internal work, it’s intellectual work, it’s emotional work,” she explained.
The actress went on to say that if she felt like tweaking the “wrinkles” on her “neck” was the answer, she’d likely change them.
“I have no judgment about it, but I know what I’m searching for. I just know that I have growth to continue to do as a human. My instinct isn’t that the answer is in plastic surgery, which is why I’m not doing it,” she added.
Autumn Is Nearly Here: 1967 Pop Rock Classic, by a Historic Band From Pennsylvania, Ranked Among Best Fall Songs Ever Made
There’s something about the seasons changing that always puts you in a mood for comfort-food favorites. The turning of the leaves and crisp autumn breeze almost instantly float a scent of warm apple pie through the air (or is it just me?), even if it isn’t there. As grocery lists are filling up with ingredients to whip up your favorite fall meals, let your playlist reflect the season, too—starting with a vintage hit that sounds just as sweet as your favorite fall treat.
In 1967, Jay & The Techniques released their song “Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie,” and decades later, it stands as one of the best autumn songs ever made. It reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 6. Written by Maurice Irby, Jr. and arranged by Joe Renzetti, it sold over a million copies and became the group’s signature smash.
Speaking to its timelessness, the track was ranked among the “best songs for the fall” in a roundup of “20 autumn classics,” published by uDiscoverMusic in October 2025.
“Due to the autumnal flavor of its title’s contents, Jay & The Techniques’ ‘Apple, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie’ is a welcome feature of many a Halloween playlist. In reality, though, the Pennsylvanian outfit’s signature hit tastes good any time,” the publication wrote of the choice. Describing it as “a brassy and infectious soul-infused pop hit,” the outlet noted that the song “became a staple of Britain’s Northern soul scene during the early 70s.”
Telling the playful, classic story of a man enamored with a woman whose attention he can’t seem to keep, he vows to continue to follow her until he can earn her love.
“Apple, peaches, pumpkin pie / You were young and so was I / Now that we’ve grown up it seems / You just keep ignoring me, oh-whoa,” the lyrics express, per Genius. “I’ll find you anywhere you go / I’m gonna look high and low / You can’t escape this love of mine / Anytime.”
The historic band formed in Allentown, Penn., became one of the first racially integrated pop groups, comprising original members lead singer, founder, and namesake Jay Proctor, vocalist and co-founder George “Lucky” Lloyd, lead guitarist Dante Dancho, bass guitarist Chuck Crowl, drummer Karl Landis (Lippowitsch), saxophonist Ronnie Goosley, and trumpet player Jon Walsh.
The story of how the group—who simply went by The Techniques at the time—got a hit in “Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie” is a surprising one, given the fact that it was solely Proctor who attended the studio session.
After being turned down by a few artists, including Nashville’s Bobby Hebb, the song was given to Proctor by producer Jerry Ross. There was just one problem: “I didn’t like ‘Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie,’” Proctor admitted to Rebeat magazine. “I’m a very soulful singer, and there wasn’t any soul in that song at all. I didn’t want to sing about no damn fruit!”
But instead of fighting the recording or turning it down, he took Ross’ instruction and went with it. “I’m raw off the street, I don’t know anything about music, so I just opened my mouth and whatever came out, came out. Well, whatever came out pleased him, so we got to release it,” Proctor told the outlet.
Unbeknownst to the band, upon the song’s release, the record’s label noted it was by Jay & the Techniques, a name change orchestrated by Ross. “I think Jerry changed it because there was Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, and Martha and the Vandellas, and he just didn’t like that single-name thing. It wasn’t that I was the leader of the group, just the lead singer on the song. Then it didn’t make sense to change it back after the song was a hit,” Proctor explained to Rebeat.
Old Navy's Chic New Top Is Giving Sandy from 'Grease' Vibes
No matter how many times I watch Grease, that final musical number at the high school carnival where they bust out with “You’re the One That I Want” always gets me, especially the fashion. Sandy’s black off-the-shoulder top, the leather pants, the red lip—it’s so chic and, honestly, works just as well for a night out in 2026 as when Olivia Newton-John wore it in 1978. It proves sometimes the simplest pieces never go out of style, and an all-black getup just works.
Old Navy clearly got the memo because the retailer just added the cutest off-the-shoulder knit top to its stores and, yes, it’s available in black (as well as a couple of other sweet colorways).

Off-the-Shoulder Fitted Top, $9.99 (original $19.99) at Old NavyOld Navy
Shop It!This off-the-shoulder top has an easy, fitted silhouette that feels sleek while still acting casual. The straight neckline highlights the shoulders, while the waist-length cut makes it an easy pairing with high-rise jeans, loose-fitting pants or a skirt. Plus, it comes in three different colorways—black, rose and earthen—so you can keep things classic or add a little color to your wardrobe.
The fabric blend is made with 57 percent cotton for a soft, comfortable feel, along with 38 percent recycled polyester and 5 percent spandex for a little stretch so you get a more custom fit. It’s also machine washable, making it a pretty low-maintenance addition to your closet.
One Old Navy reviewer does mention she has to fuss with the top every time she moves her arms because it rolls up onto her shoulders. This feels like a really annoying problem to deal with, but there are a couple of simple solutions. To keep everything in place, try a few pieces of double-sided fashion tape along the inner edge to help anchor it to your skin. Or you can even try silicone body tape if regular fashion tape isn’t quite strong enough.
Now, if you want a more permanent fix, a tailor can add a narrow strip of elastic inside the neckline to give it a little more staying power. Considering this top is currently 50 percent off, if you love it but don’t want the hassle, spending a little to have it tailored is worth it.
1978 Bob Seger Hit, Covered by David Cassidy, Remains a Road-Trip Favorite 48 Years Later
In 1978, Bob Seger’’s 10th studio album featured a road trip gem. “Hollywood Nights,” the second single from Seger’s Stranger in Town, had a wide appeal, so much so that a ‘70s teen idol recorded a cover of it 25 years later.
Written by Seger, “Hollywood Nights” had all the makings of a rock hit: a high-energy riff, urgent vocals about a fleeting romance, and an open-road feel that translated perfectly to arena rock performances. The song reached No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the fall of 1983 and remains one of Seger’s best-known songs.
“Hollywood Nights” came to Seger while he was driving.
In an interview with Classic Rock, the music legend recalled, “I was out in Los Angeles and I was just beginning to record Stranger In Town. I had a house out in the Hollywood Hills. I could see the city from my house. I’d be driving up there in the Hollywood Hills, just driving along, and then suddenly: ‘Hollywood nights, Hollywood Hills, above all the lights, Hollywood nights’. It just came right into my head.”
“So I turned right around and drove home, and I’m singing this in my head thinking: “Don’t forget it, don’t forget it! Don’t turn on the radio!” he laughed. “I get home, and I sing it into my little cassette recorder. ‘Okay, that’s a good start. It’s high energy and it’s gonna be fun.'”
“It’s very seldom that I’m driving in a car and something rolls into my head, but that song did,” Seger added. “That was one that came out of nowhere.”
“Hollywood Nights” attracted music fans from all music genres—including David Cassidy. Decades later, the former teen idol, best known for his hits with the Partridge Family, began to cover Seger’s song during his live shows.
A 2003 article for the Kokomo Tribune noted that the rock song “perfectly captures the essence” of the years Cassidy spent as a teenager growing up in California. It was also teased that Cassidy was considering recoding “Hollywood Nights” for his next album but was “unsure” if the rock classic would “fit in with the midnight mood” he had in mind for the album.
Cassidy ultimately recorded “Hollywood Nights” for his final studio album A Touch of Blue, later that year, giving the song his own pop-rock spin.

Seger has written and recorded numerous road trip anthems over his long career—“Roll Me Away,” “Against the Wind” and “Travelin’ Man,” just to name a few. But 48 years later, “Hollywood Nights” may be his truest road trip hit of all. Inspired by an actual joyride, the song is an enduring favorite that still makes fans want to turn up the music and hit the open road.
Gilbert Arenas' Response to Being Dragged Into NBA Fraud Scandal Is Peak Agent Zero
Gilbert Arenas isn’t exactly known for quietly letting his name get dragged into a controversy. He danced his way out of jail last year after a supposed underground Poker scandal, and now, his name has come up again. He wasted no time responding, y’all. When former Boston Celtics star Glen “Big Baby” Davis mentioned him while making allegations about other NBA players and the league’s massive health care fraud case, Agent Zero responded exactly how you might expect.
Arenas denied having anything to do with the scheme, but he couldn’t leave it there. The former Washington Wizards star joked that he actually had “stolen” millions from the NBA before, just not in the way Davis was suggesting.
Gilbert Arenas Fires Back at Glen Davis’ ClaimsDavis made the allegations during a recent appearance on the Locked In With Ian Bick podcast, where he discussed his conviction and time in federal prison for his role in a scheme involving fraudulent claims submitted to the NBA’s Health and Welfare Benefit Plan.
Davis claimed many more former players were investigated than ultimately faced charges and specifically named Arenas, Matt Barnes, Stephen Jackson, Corey Maggette and Cuttino Mobley while arguing that others escaped the consequences he faced.
Those are Davis’ allegations. Arenas was not charged in the health care fraud case, and Davis did not provide evidence showing that Arenas participated in the scheme.
Arenas quickly made his position clear.
“When you say Gilbert Arenas, me?” he said in a video response, according to Basketball Network.
Then came the very Agent Zero part.
“The only money that I’ve ever stolen was that NBA contract money,” Arenas joked.
He was referring to the massive contract he signed with the Washington Wizards and the millions he continued collecting while sidelined. Arenas joked that he was paid $66 million while sitting, before turning the punchline back on Davis.
In other words, Arenas wasn’t interested in letting Davis connect him to the fraud scheme, but he was perfectly willing to roast his own NBA career while denying it.
What Happened in the NBA Health Care Fraud Case? The controversy Arenas has now been pulled into dates back years.
Federal prosecutors charged more than 20 former NBA players in connection with a scheme involving fraudulent medical and dental reimbursement claims submitted to the league’s health care plan.
Davis was convicted in 2023 on multiple fraud-related charges and later sentenced to 40 months in prison. He served 17 months before being released in March 2026.
During his new interview, Davis argued that he was treated more harshly than others and claimed numerous players were investigated without facing the same consequences. Some of the players he named have since pushed back.
Arenas’ response is particularly notable because the former All-Star has built a second act in media around the same unfiltered personality that made him one of the NBA’s most unpredictable stars.
Even when confronted with an allegation involving a federal fraud case, apparently Agent Zero is still going to respond like Agent Zero.

1966 Pop Song, Written by 18-Year-Old Laura Nyro, Became a No. 1 Pop Culture Staple
Laura Nyro wrote and released one of the most recognizable wedding-inspired songs in 1966, and it would become a major charting hit for another group that felt connected to its lyrics.
Ever heard of the popular phrase “wedding bell blues” that’s often used by a hopeful young woman waiting for her boyfriend to propose or counting the days until her grand wedding? The phrase actually came from a hit song written by Nyro.
At only 18-years-old, Nyro was already making herself known as a songwriter with previous hits “And When I Die” and “Blowing Away.” Nyro soon developed the track “Wedding Bell Blues” in 1966 and had originally recorded it for her debut album, More Than a New Discovery.
Nyro was inspired by a real-life story that she remembers from when she was younger, involving an affair. She was a good friend of Arrows’ Alan Merrill due to having grown up together, and Merrill’s uncle later married Nyro’s aunt. “Wedding Bell Blues” mentions a Bill character, who was actually based on the real-life actor Bill Carter and his involvement with Merrill’s mother.
“Around 1958 or so, my mom was dating a married man named Bill Carter, a B-film actor. He was married to Trink Wiman, heiress to the John Deere fortune. My mom and Bill co-owned a jazz club named The Night Owl (not the Greenwich Village rock venue) and were having a very passionate and public relationship,” said Merrill to SongFacts.
“The club was quite possibly funded by Ms. Wiman’s money. The affair was so serious in fact that Trink had private detectives invade our apartment at 800 Grand Concourse (Bronx) in 1958, I was there and remember it. The ensuing newspaper scandal was the reason we left to reside in Europe for many years.”
He went on to add that Nyro heard about the story growing up, with his mother confirming it years later when talking about the singer. His mother wasn’t amused by the lyrics, but Nyro was spot on in getting it right.
Sadly, Nyro’s version stalled on the charts, which is believed to have been due to arranger Herb Bernstein. He didn’t allow Nyro to use her original arrangement because of its changing tempos and thinking it wasn’t a good fit as a commercial track. Two years later, “Wedding Bell Blues” was revived thanks to The 5th Dimension.
The group’s producer, Bones Howe, was good friends with Nyro and had the group record a number of her songs before. “Wedding Bell Blues” was a no-brainer, especially as members Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. were engaged at the time but had not set a wedding date.
The 5th Dimension’s cover of Nyro’s track landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and on the Adult Contemporary chart. It also topped Cash Box and the overseas New Zealand chart. Its popularity also spiked due to McCoo and Davis Jr.’s singing arrangement during live TV performances.

27-Year-Old Country Star 7 Days From All-Time Billboard Record Owned by Mariah Carey
With her smash hit “Choosin’ Texas” securing its 21st week atop the Billboard Hot 100, country star Ella Langley is officially seven days away from an all-time music milestone. The talented young breakout artist is now one single week shy of tying the longest-running No. 1 reign in the chart’s 68-year history. It is an incredible tracking run that traces all the way back to August 4, 1958, when Ricky Nelson’s “Poor Little Fool” became the very first track to lead the newly launched music list.
Now, Langley’s breakout anthem is on the verge of matching Mariah Carey’s ultimate 22-week holiday record for “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Recorded in Tennessee, “Choosin’ Texas” has navigated a unique whirlwind of streaming and radio success since it first led the pack on Valentine’s Day. The track has run up its 21 weeks nonconsecutively over a 31-week span, encompassing six distinct ascents back to the number one spot. This marks the absolute most climbs for any single song over a single release cycle in Billboard history, breaking out of a tie with Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road.”
The song’s massive crossover appeal continues to dominate American airplay, bulleting at No. 4 on Adult Pop Airplay and No. 7 on Pop Airplay, while locking down the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart for a 39th week. Langley’s historic run fuels an unprecedented era of country dominance, with Stella Lefty’s “Boston” holding at No. 2 and Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” steady at No. 3 on the Hot 100 chart.
Whether Langley can hold her position for just seven more days to equal Carey’s legendary milestone remains the single biggest question in music today. For now, this spectacular Tennessee-recorded smash has firmly cemented this specific decade as country music’s most dominant era across the entire United States of America.
‘Tracker’ Season 4 Hints at One Major Shift to Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw Storyline
Tracker is returning to CBS next month, but things may look slightly different for Colter Shaw.
Ahead of the Tracker season 4 premiere, executive producer Elwood Reid shared what potential changes may be on the horizon for our favorite rewardist, including a storyline shift that would shake up his love life in a way we haven’t seen before.
Up until now, Colter Shaw has largely operated as a “lone wolf,” occasionally crossing paths with Billie Matalon, played by his real-life wife, Sofia Pernas. He also works closely with Reenie Greene, portrayed by Fiona Rene, with whom he shares a complicated past and lingering chemistry. Previous seasons have also explored his history with former love interest Camille Picket, played by Floriana Lima.
However, there’s no serious, stable and long-term love interest—yet.
That may all change with season 4, as Reid told Us Weekly, “One of the things I think we’re trying to do this year is open up life outside of the office.”
“With Colter, we’re going to see the buds of a relationship forming,” he expressed, which is nice, since a lot of the strongest scenes involve Colter working alongside his team, which also includes his brother, Russell Shaw, played by fan-favorite guest star Jensen Ackles, and his IT right-hand man, Randy, played by Chris Lee.
“That’s one thing that I think is unique to this season, which is we just never see Colter in a social and possibly romantic situation outside of the Billie universe,” Reid noted, expressing that the situation would be “much different” from his relationship with Billie.
Reid continued, “Then the other thing, which is just an overall theme of the show, is how can we test and challenge Colter morally and physically.”
Colter spends much of his time living out of his Airstream and traveling around the U.S. to take on cases, so the love interest would have to play into that lifestyle somehow. Audiences could also see Colter’s struggle to manage a full-time relationship with his unconventional job.
“We’re not just jumping right into it. We’re just showing the buds of it. This is the seed we’re planting, but what would happen if that relationship got leveraged against him somehow or that person or somebody close to that person got into a situation that needed Colter’s help?” Reid explained, questioning, “Would that blow the relationship up? Would that deepen the relationship?”
While Billie and Colter make sense on paper, they’re cut from the same cloth and “do the same thing, so they know the rules.” It’s fun to watch their dynamic on-screen, but they don’t have the staying power.
Reid wants to explore, “What would happen if you started to put strings on there?”
“And putting the Billie thing aside for a second, what would happen if there was someone who challenged him emotionally in a way where maybe his job comes into cross purposes with that? That’s the thing we’re toying with. We’ve shot two scenes with this person, so [we’re] just seeing if it’ll work,” he expressed.
Tracker, which premiered in 2024, will also see another major change as production moves from Vancouver to Los Angeles.
Tracker Season 4 will return to CBS on Sunday, October 4, at 9 pm. s

Aaron Rodgers is a married man, but who is his mystery wife? Keep reading for what to know about the football player’s wife.
When did Aaron Rodgers get married?Rodgers confirmed he’s a married man during a press conference in June 2025, telling reporters that the wedding took place “a couple months” ago.

Who is Aaron Rodgers’ wife?Rodgers’ wife is believed to be a woman named Brittani, whom he said he was dating in December 2024. The NFL star casually dropped the news while discussing holiday gifts during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
“I used to enjoy a little outing over to the Bay Park mall in Wisconsin every now and then, but I actually ordered all of [my Christmas gifts] online this year,” Rodgers told host Pat McAfee. “I was a little worried because there was one package left for my girlfriend Brittani that hadn’t showed up yet. So I’ve been waiting on this to show up, and it showed up today.”
When Rodgers appeared on the show again in April 2025, he called the relationship “serious.”
“I’m in a different phase of my life,” Rodgers said. “I’m 41 years old. I’m in a serious relationship. I have off-the-field stuff going on that requires my attention.”

Returning to The Pat McAfee Show in June 2025, Rodgers expressed his frustration with the media’s attempts to identify his wife.
“I’m with somebody who’s private, who doesn’t want to be in the public eye, didn’t sign up to be a celebrity, doesn’t want to be a part of it,” Rodgers said, adding, “Now the paparazzi is stalking me on the beach, trying to get a picture of her.”
Rodgers made it clear that his wife will decide whether she’ll ever enter the spotlight. “If and when she wants to be out and there’s a picture, she’ll choose that. And she deserves a right to that,” he said. “But the entitlement to information about my private life is so f–king ridiculous and embarrassing.”
Speaking to People in August 2025, the wives of Rodgers’ former New York Jets teammates said they never saw his new partner during the two seasons he played for the team.
“I didn’t know of any partner,” said Jessie Vera-Tucker, wife of guard Alijah Vera-Tucker.
“I didn’t know he had a partner either, oh my gosh,” said Maranda Williams, whose husband is defensive end Quinnen Williams. She added, “I never saw anyone. Never met anyone.”
“It literally came out of nowhere,” Vera-Tucker said of Rodgers’ marriage.

Aaron Rodgers’ Wife Helped Him Make the Decision to Not Retire From the NFLDuring a press conference in May 2026, Rodgers credited his wife with helping him decide to return to the NFL for his 22nd season. “I had a lot of conversations with Mike, Omar, for a while,” he said. “And you know, had a lot of conversations with my wife about it, after the [NFL] draft came to the conclusion that I wanted to play, I wanted to come back.”
What does Aaron Rodgers’ wife do for a living?Rodgers shared in late 2024 that he was in a relationship with a woman named Brittani, though he hasn’t confirmed that she’s the woman he married. Not much is known about her, including her profession or age.
Is there a photo of Aaron Rodgers’ wife, Brittani? No official photo of Rodgers’ wife, Brittani, has been published online (at least not that we know of). In May 2026, parody account Football Crave on X posted a photo supposedly of Rodgers and Brittani together, naming his wife “Brittani ‘Starlight’ Leszczyński.” While the image was fake and an X Community Note deemed the Leszczyński name “fabricated,” many users still fell for it once it went viral. Take a look at the photo for yourself below:

Rodgers is no stranger to high-profile romances, which he touched on in his three-part Netflix docuseries, Aaron Rodgers: Enigma. In the series, he admitted that he “didn’t do myself any favors with some of the girls I dated” who were “in the public eye.”
Rodgers revealed he was engaged in February 2021 while accepting the 2020 NFL MVP Award, though he did not reveal his mystery fiancée’s identity at the time. That same month, Big Little Lies star Shailene Woodley confirmed during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that she and Rodgers were gearing up to tie the knot. The duo later called their engagement off in 2022.
Prior to his relationship with Woodley, Rodgers dated NASCAR driver Danica Patrick from 2017 to 2019, and was previously linked to Jessica Szohr, Olivia Munn and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Kelly Rohrbach.
“I definitely hated it at first. I really despised it,” Rodgers said of dating in the spotlight. “I enjoyed my private life. I enjoyed being able to go places.”

Emotional Predictions for 'DWTS' Season 35 Dedication Night Have Fans Divided
While Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars has yet to begin, fans’ predictions for the show are well underway.
Specifically, following last week’s announcement of the full cast, a content creator shared their predictions of who the millennial-favorite stars would choose to honor for the show’s Dedication Night, assuming they make it to that point in the competition.
The post speculated that The Fresh Prince of Bel Air star Tatyana Ali would honor the late James Avery, who played her father on the show. The Instagram user also suggested that Julia Stiles would pay tribute to her late 10 Things I Hate About You co-star Heath Ledger, while Harry Shum Jr. would dedicate his number to late Glee co-stars Naya Rivera or Corey Monteith.
“DWTS really said millennials, come collect your emotional damage,” the post’s caption said. “Dedication night is about to be absolutely disrespectful.”
Fans were mixed though, with some noting that the cast members’ relationship with co-stars of their past may be less significant than personal loved ones:
- “They’ll probably do their family members but this is a nice thought,” one wrote.
- “I think maybe Tatyana is right. The rest I doubt,” added another.
- “Why does everyone think they will dedicate their dances to a dead co-star vs their family?” another asked. “No one even knows if they had any sort of personal relationship.”
However, others were emotional just at the thought of the proposed dedications.
- “If they do this, then I will need a box of tissues,” one said.
- “I’m def gonna be crying,” added another.
- “I was already telling my sister that Julia and Ezra [Sosa] need to do a nod to Heath!!” a third agreed.
- Another fan went as far as to suggest that Shum Jr. should dance to Rivera’s version of “If I Die Young” for his future performance.

From Award Chaos to That Shocking Kiss: Everything You Need to Remember Before ‘The Paper’ Season 2
When The Paper hit Peacock subscribers’ streaming doorsteps last year, to put it mildly, they had big shoes to fill. After all, the mockumentary comedy serves as the first follow-up and spinoff to The Office, arguably the most popular comedy of this century. And, while a few totems reminded us of the days of Dunder-Mifflin (including an entire character in Oscar Martinez’s return), it wasn’t long before we were wrapped in the life and times of the upstart Toledo Truth Teller paper. And, to tell the truth, after that Season 1 ending, its return can’t come soon enough.
Before The Paper Season 2 premieres on Sept. 9, here’s everything you need to remember about the first season and how it came to a close.

The Paper Season 1 recap The Truth Teller goes from irrelevant to invaluable (L-R) Sabrina Impacciatore as Esmeralda, Domhnall Gleeson as Ned and Tim Key as Ken in ‘The Paper’John P. Fleenor/PEACOCK
When we first met the staff of the Truth Teller in the pilot, to say things were in dire straits would be an understatement. Ned Sampson (Domhnall Gleeson) is essentially tasked with a journalistic extreme home makeover, trying to bring repute and real news to a publication that had devolved into a site coasting on clickbait and myriad ads. To do so, the new Editor-in-Chief recruited the staff of both the paper and the adjoining Softees toilet paper company as volunteer reporters, despite their massive lack of experience.
It, of course, starts in abject disaster (seriously, two of them actually tried to run a story about a fake fad where teenagers act like dogs). As the season goes along, however, our plucky heroes seem to get more used to the beat, actually breaking several important pieces of news in the process. Their rise is so meteoric, in fact, that they find out that they have been nominated for a handful of distinctions at the Ohio Journalism Awards, a ceremony in which they’ve gone home empty-handed over the past half-century.
This year, however, the evening is quite a handful. The Truth Teller takes home three major awards: For the paper itself, as well as individual honors for Mare (Chelsea Frei) and Oscar (Martinez). Of course, not wanting the resuscitation of the publication to take the full spotlight, Esmerelda (Sabrina Impacciatore) tries to steal the show, pretending to faint during Ned’s speech. The staggering resurgence of The Truth Teller is a representation of the work Ned and company were able to do over the course of Season 1, bringing the paper much closer to capturing its former glory.

When Ned first joins The Truth Teller, he has very few allies, with most of its staff disinterested or disillusioned. One person, however, was more than happy to go into battle with him: Former Army correspondent Mare. To her, his journalistic joie de vivre helped her reconnect with what made her pursue a career in media in the first place, especially when she gets the opportunity to become a reporter again. The two immediately bond over their shared obsession for a scoop. But it soon becomes clear the yearning may extend beyond the headlines.
As quickly as in the third episode, The Paper begins to highlight the growing feelings Ned has for Mare. In one of her many efforts to sabotage The Truth Teller, Esmerelda lies to him that Mare is asexual, dousing his feelings for a little while. But once the fake news gets cleared up, the fire starts to kindle again. The story is not without its complications, however. In the last two episodes particularly, we see the two become combative when Mare tells Ned he’s too obsessed with being seen as the paper’s head honcho. Even on the night of the Journalism Awards, she brings a date to make Ned jealous, which ultimately proves successful.
While Mare came with someone else for the evening, it definitely was not who she’d be leaving with. Despite their tension, the two ditch the awards ceremony briefly to crash a wedding, where they’re able to squash their beef through some dancing and good old-fashioned flirting. At Oscar’s suggestion, Ned finds Mare outside her hotel room, and the two finally admit their feelings for one another. Not wanting to interfere with their day-to-day, they agree to get a kiss out of the way before happily resuming their relationship as coworkers and friends. Something that was meant to simplify, however, only complicates things more, as the one peck turns into something much more passionate.
Arguably the heart of the first few seasons of The Office was the relationship between Jim and Pam. The two were consistently circling one another, entertaining a series of partners before finally sharing their first kiss in the Season 2 finale. Much like the success of The Truth Teller, The Paper has also decided to jumpstart its main romantic tension record time. The Office chose to follow up their romantic cliffhanger by shipping Jim off to Stamford for half a season, with the two finally going on a date at the end of Season 3. We’ll see if The Paper pursues a similar path, or if this “will they/won’t they” is firmly stuck in the “will” position.

Much like The Office, The Paper brands itself as a true ensemble comedy. So, while the success of The Truth Teller and Ned/Mare’s makeout session are far and away the biggest headlines coming out of the finale, here’s where we left off with some of the rest of our beloved cast.
While not nearly as front-and-center as Mare and Ned, another season-long complicated relationship involved Detrick (Melvin Gregg) and Nicole (Ramona Young). When the series starts, Detrick makes his feelings for Nicole all too clear — to both her and anyone in proximity. After he calms down, she seems to show signs of reciprocating, as the two share a kiss. However, Nicole is not eager to commit, telling Detrick she views her relationship as strictly casual.
Her feelings towards him, however, are far from it, especially when she finds out he hasn’t been seeing other people as she assumed. At the end of the season, Detrick officially breaks off their relationship, wanting it to be something more, as she brusquely claims they didn’t have anything to begin with. But as we see Nicole weeping after the awards, it becomes clear she feels the same way as him.
John P. Fleenor/PEACOCK
Two of Ned’s biggest antagonists throughout Season 1 were Esmerelda and Ken Davies (Tim Key), the corporate strategist of Enervate (the holding company for both The Truth Teller and Softees). In the beginning, the two were co-conspirators against the new man in charge, trying to impugn him every chance they got to CEO Marv (Allan Havey). When that doesn’t seem to go anywhere, they go so far as to try to get Marv removed from Enervate, a plan that goes belly-up once they realize a janitor has overheard the whole thing (and the fact, you know, that an entire documentary crew is recording everything they say).
At the Journalism Awards, Esmerelda and Ken’s worst nightmare has seemingly come true. After finding out they’re not sitting at the same table as Marv, the two go into overdrive to try to save their jobs. As mentioned before, Esmerelda takes to the stage, hijacking not only Ned’s acceptance speech, but also penning an impromptu accompaniment to the “In Memoriam” segment. Ken, meanwhile, tries to go the heroic route, purposely making Marv choke so he can save his life. Unfortunately, it’s yet another scheme that goes awry, and Oscar winds up being the hero for both Marv and his brother.
Considering Impacciatore and Key are both in the main cast for Season 2, it’s safe to say they have not lost their jobs as they feared. But if their shenanigans continue to blow up in their faces, they may have to hit the job listings of The Truth Teller sooner rather than later.
Aaron Rodgers' Net Worth in 2026 and How Much He's Making With the Steelers
After 18 years with the Green Bay Packers, in April 2023, Aaron Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets. The news came one year into a three-year, $150 million contract he signed to stay with Green Bay, suggesting that the star quarterback really wanted off the Packers. He made headlines again for his reworked contract with the Jets, which saw the QB take a nearly $35 million pay cut.
Rodgers’ 2023 season ended before it even took off, as the quarterback tore his Achilles tendon in his fourth play of the Jets’ opening week game against the Buffalo Bills. He would sit out the rest of the 2023 season.
Rodgers came back from the injury in the 2024 season, but the Jets did not. They were eliminated early from playoff contention and their head coach, Robert Saleh, was fired mid-season, with some analysts speculating that Saleh was terminated because Rodgers didn’t get along with him. Rodgers denied this accusation.
Football fans heard about these events in Rodgers’ life from the man himself in the three-episode Netflix series called Aaron Rodgers: Enigma, which debuted in late 2024. Netflix described the series: “After tearing his left Achilles last year just four offensive snaps into the 2023 season, he’s spent the last year preparing to get back on the field. But game-day plays and press conferences can only reveal a small part of the four-time MVP’s story. Aaron Rodgers: Enigma…will reveal a side of Rodgers that few get to see.”
Unfortunately, one of the revelations about Rodgers wasn’t an announcement that he would be staying with the Jets. The team announced in February 2025 that they would be parting ways with the veteran QB.
If Rodgers was concerned about his future prospects in the NFL, he didn’t have to worry for very long. After discussions with the New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings, he signed a one-year, $13.65 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers in June 2025. A few days later, the four-time NFL MVP made headlines again when he revealed to Pittsburgh media members that he’d gotten married “a couple months” ago.
Rodgers led the Steelers to a 10-7 division-winning season record before the team was ultimately eliminated by the Houston Texans in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Despite this, he is scheduled to return to the Steelers for the 2026 season.
With all of the chaos in Rodgers’ career, how does it affect his income? Let’s take a closer look at his earnings.

Aaron Rodgers is considered one of the best NFL quarterbacks of all time. The superstar athlete was born in Chico, Calif., in 1983 and moved with his family to Oregon in the early ’90s. His father was a chiropractor who played football for the Chico State Wildcats from 1973 to 1976. The elder Rodgers imparted a love of the game to his middle son, and when the family returned to Chico in 1997, Aaron played as a record-setting quarterback at Pleasant Valley High School. He went on to attend Butte College in 2002, then transferred to the University of California, Berkeley, where he played for the California Golden Bears.
Rodgers was drafted 24th by the Green Bay Packers in the 2005 NFL draft—a relatively unimpressive start that he’s pointed to as motivation for his successful career ever since.

Also worth noting? Rodgers played second-string to Brett Favre, who announced his retirement in 2008. Favre ultimately came out of retirement and played for the Jets (the irony!), not quite leading them to the playoffs that same year.

Meanwhile, Rodgers’ stock soared. He was named MVP of Super Bowl XLV, which Green Bay won. He’s also been named MVP of the NFL four times (2011, 2014, 2020 and 2021).
Off the field, he’s made waves for his relationship with Shailene Woodley, which ended in 2022, and for getting “immunized,” which was really code for “not vaccinated” during the COVID-19 pandemic. He’s also made lots of State Farm commercials.

Rodgers signed a restructured two-year contract with the Jets that guaranteed him a $75 million paycheck, according to ESPN. As the outlet reported, that amount reflected a $35 million pay cut compared to what Rodgers would have earned had he finished his deal with the Packers, which had $110 million remaining on the contract. (That contract was staggered over a three-year period: $42 million in 2022, $59.465 million in 2023 and $49.3 million in 2024. It totaled up to about $150 million over three years.)
Did Aaron Rodgers still get paid when he was injured with the Jets?An MRI showed that Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon in the first game of his Jets contract in 2023. Given the nature of the injury, he was unable to return for the rest of the season. Some reports stated that Rodgers’s two-year, $75 million contract was “guaranteed,” meaning the team owed him that money whether he played or not. But not all contracts are guaranteed in full.
Injuries continued to plague Rodgers in 2024, as reports surfaced in November that he’d been playing through hamstring, knee and ankle injuries. It was speculated at the time that the quarterback resisted medical scans, possibly thinking he would be ineligible to play due to the severity of the injuries.

Can You Get Rid of Bed Bugs Yourself With Over-the-Counter Sprays?
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
Finding a bed bug in your home can trigger an immediate reaction: Grab a spray, strip the bed and start cleaning everything in sight. The problem is that bed bugs are unusually difficult to eliminate with a bottle of insecticide alone.
Some store-bought products are registered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for bed bug control, and they can kill bed bugs when used according to their labels. But killing a few visible bugs is different from eliminating an infestation. Bed bugs hide in tiny cracks, eggs can survive many treatments and some populations have developed resistance to commonly used pesticides.
If you have bed bugs and want professional help, Orkin offers bed bug inspections and treatment options designed around the extent of the infestation and where the insects are hiding.
Store-bought sprays can kill bed bugs, but they usually should not be expected to eliminate an infestation on their own. The EPA says successful control depends on factors including finding hidden bugs, treating the appropriate areas, addressing all life stages, following label directions and accounting for pesticide resistance.
A spray may kill a bed bug it contacts while leaving others tucked inside a bed frame, furniture joint or nearby crack. Eggs also complicate treatment because many pesticides do not kill them, meaning follow-up treatment may be necessary after they hatch.
How much bed bug spray should you use?More is not better. Use only the amount and application method specified on the pesticide label. The EPA warns against applying excessive amounts or treating more frequently than the label permits.
Never mix pesticides unless the label specifically permits it, and never substitute household chemicals such as rubbing alcohol for registered bed bug products. Rubbing alcohol is highly flammable and has been associated with house fires when used against bed bugs.
Why Bed Bug Spray Sometimes Stops Working- Pesticide resistance is one reason. Bed bug populations in different parts of the country have developed resistance to some pesticides. Resistance varies by population, so a product that works in one situation may perform poorly in another.
- Many common bed bug products use pyrethrins or pyrethroids. The EPA identifies these as common insecticides for bed bug control, but notes that resistant strains exist. In those situations, treatment may flush bugs from hiding places without killing them, potentially causing them to relocate.
- Repeatedly spraying the same chemical is not a better strategy. The EPA warns that repeated applications may fail to eliminate the infestation and can contribute to resistance. Applying more pesticide than the label permits also creates unnecessary exposure risks without guaranteeing better control.
If you’ve sprayed several times and are still finding live bed bugs, getting an Orkin inspection is often more useful than buying another can of the same type of insecticide.
What makes bed bug treatment so difficult?Bed bugs are experts at staying out of sight. They can live in cracks about the width of a credit card, and infestations may extend beyond the mattress or box spring into bed frames, furniture, hampers and adjacent areas.
That makes coverage one of the biggest challenges with DIY treatment. Spraying the mattress surface, for example, does not necessarily reach bugs concealed deep inside a frame or behind nearby fixtures.
Treatment Approach
What It Does
Main Limitation
OTC insecticide spray
Kills bed bugs when appropriately applied
Resistance, missed hiding places and surviving eggs can lead to failure
Heat
Can kill bed bugs at all life stages when adequate temperatures are maintained
Requires careful temperature control and proper equipment
Steam
Uses heat to kill bugs in treated areas
Must be applied correctly without scattering insects
Mattress/box-spring encasements
Trap bugs inside and make inspection easier
Does not eliminate bugs elsewhere in the room
Interceptors
Monitor and help trap bed bugs around furniture legs
A monitoring tool, not a stand-alone eradication method
The EPA recommends an integrated pest management (IPM) approach that combines appropriate chemical and non-chemical methods rather than relying on pesticides alone.
What should you do if you think you have bed bugs? Before reaching for another spray, confirm that you actually have bed bugs. Bites alone aren’t enough to identify an infestation because other insects and skin conditions can produce similar symptoms.
Look for physical evidence around sleeping areas, including live insects, shed skins, dark fecal spots or eggs. Check the mattress seams, box spring, bed frame and nearby furniture.
If bed bugs are confirmed, avoid spreading them while trying to solve the problem.
When DIY Bed Bug Treatment Isn’t WorkingRepeated sightings after treatment are a reason to stop guessing and reassess the infestation. Orkin’s bed bug specialists inspect the infested room and adjacent rooms, examine beds and other potential hiding areas, recommend additional treatment methods when appropriate and conduct follow-up visits as needed.
How does professional bed bug treatment differ from spraying?Professional bed bug treatment starts with finding where the insects are rather than treating only the place where one was spotted.
A trained pest professional can assess the extent of an infestation, identify likely harborages and build a treatment plan around the property’s specific conditions. Depending on the situation, treatment may incorporate targeted pesticides, heat or other control measures alongside monitoring.
Successful bed bug treatment is a process, not simply an application of insecticide. The EPA recommends continued inspection and monitoring to determine whether an infestation has actually been eliminated.
If you’ve already tried an OTC product and are still finding bugs, an inspection can also help answer a more basic question: Are you dealing with an active infestation, a missed population or something that only resembles a bed bug?
Is professional bed bug treatment worth considering? If you’ve confirmed bed bugs, especially after multiple unsuccessful DIY treatments, professional inspection is a reasonable next step. Bed bugs are difficult to locate, pesticide resistance complicates chemical control and incomplete treatment can leave enough insects behind for the infestation to continue.
Orkin offers a free quote for homeowners looking for help identifying and addressing a bed bug problem. A professional can assess the situation and explain the available treatment options before you keep spending money on products that may not solve the infestation.
Mary Higgins Clark's Breakout Bestseller 'Where Are the Children?' Turned a New Jersey Mom Into the 'Queen of Suspense' 51 Years Ago
Fifty-one years ago, the world witnessed the birth of a literary legend with the publication of Mary Higgins Clark’s 1975 breakout novel, Where Are the Children?
The second book from Higgins Clark, Where Are the Children? focuses on two young children kidnapped by their father and hidden away at an isolated house known as the Lookout.
Prior to the book’s publication, the only work Higgins Clark had published up to that point in time was her 1968 fictionalized portrayal of George Washington with 1968’s Aspire to the Heavens.
Later reissued in 2002 as Mount Vernon Love Story: A Novel of George and Martha Washington, this debut novel failed to draw serious financial or critical attention from readers. As a result, Higgins Clark began to focus more heavily on the thriller genre, prompting her to write the far more successful best-seller, Where Are the Children?, seven years later.
In the decades that followed, Higgins Clark would become closely associated with the suspense genre, as seen through her equally successful work on novels like A Stranger is Watching, A Cry in the Night, While My Pretty One Sleeps and Silent Night, among dozens of others.
As further evidence of the book’s success, Where Are the Children? was later adapted into a 1986 mystery thriller film starring Jill Clayburgh, Max Gail, Harley Cross, Elizabeth Wilson, Barnard Hughes and Frederic Forrest.
One of several movies based on Higgins Clark’s work, Where Are the Children? also helped mainstream audiences gain renewed awareness about the author’s bibliography.
Over the course of her career, 51 of her books ended up becoming bestsellers in both the U.S. and various European countries. In the United States alone, she’s managed to sell a whopping 100 million copies, with her novels remaining incredibly popular among readers over six years since her death in 2020.
To this day, Where Are the Children? remains one of her most well-loved books, with the novel currently in its 75th printing.

Directed by Casey Affleck, the film stars Nolte alongside Ben Mendelsohn, Adelaide Clemens, Scoot McNairy, Emily Alyn Lind, and Caylee Cowan. Check out the clip below, which shows Affleck’s son Atticus in the opening scene.
Not one for a frequent red carpet appearance, Nolte was spotted last summer out on the town with his wife Clytie Lane for a sweet Mother’s Day brunch. Sporting a long, shaggy beard and a baggy blue button-down shirt, Nolte looked as casual as can be alongside his bride, who looked quite content as she toted two pale pink roses in her hand. Dressed in a long, flowing purple dress, sun hat, and sneakers, Lane joined her hubby for a stroll through a Malibu mall as they headed to sit down for lunch.

Nolte and Lane were joined by their 17-year-old daughter, Sophia, for a meal. The duo had been together for more than a decade before they wed in 2016, according to People.
