If you have eggs in your refrigerator, you may want to take a closer look before making breakfast.

Nearly 1.6 million dozen white and brown cage-free eggs were recalled by Midwest Poultry Services L.P. over potential Salmonella Enteritidis contamination, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recall alert. Consumers should continue to check products with sell-by dates extending into August.

According to the FDA, the outbreak has sickened 98 people across 17 states, with 26 hospitalizations reported as of the agency's latest update. No deaths have been reported.

The recalled eggs have best-by and sell-by dates through Aug. 17 and can be identified by the plant codes P-1950 or 0840962 along with a Julian date between 157 and 184 printed on the carton.

The eggs were sold at Kroger stores in Texas and Louisiana and Brookshire Grocery stores in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Mississippi, according to the FDA. The products were also distributed to food service providers and other retailers in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

The FDA advises consumers not to eat the recalled eggs. Instead, they should be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.

According to the FDA, Salmonella infections can cause diarrhea, fever, stomach cramps, nausea and vomiting. Young children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems are at greater risk of developing severe illness.

According to a USA Todayreport, consumers with questions can contact Midwest Poultry Services at 574-405-9531, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET.

In a first for the Star Wars franchise, George Lucas's hit sci-fi series is set to deliver its first-ever Welsh translation for overseas audiences, as recently announced by StarWars.com. 

To that end, a brand-new actor is officially set to take over the role (or rather the voice) of everyone's favorite charismatic space smuggler, Han Solo, famously portrayed by Harrison Ford in the original films.

According to Inverse, the legendary role will soon be voiced by actor Matthew Rhys in the Welsh language adaptation of the films. The actor will be joined by several other prominent Welsh performers, including House of the Dragon's Rhys Ifans (who will voice Obi-Wan Kenobi) andSlow Horses' Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Princess Leia).

Interestingly, Mark Lewis Jones, who previously played First Order Captain Moden Canady in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, will also appear in the central role of Darth Vader.

Of course, Rhys is best known for his recent breakout performance on Apple TV's wildly successful Widow's Bay. A blend between quirky comedy and chilling supernatural horror, Widow's Bay follows Rhys' unassuming small-town mayor as he contends with a number of seemingly paranormal incidents plaguing his New England island community.

With its first season only just behind us, Apple TV has already green-lit Widow's Bay for a second season. As Rotten Tomatoes wrote of the show on their website, "[Showrunner] Katie Dippold successfully continues to invest in eccentricity with this outlandish horror-comedy that stokes the genre's well-worn tropes to winning effect, bringing scares, laughs, and a game cast."

Previously, the character of Han Solo was portrayed by Harrison Ford in what turned out to be his career-launching performance. Ford later reprised his role in The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens and for a brief cameo in The Rise of Skywalker.

A younger version of the character was also portrayed by actor Alden Ehrenreich in 2018's Solo: A Star Wars Story.

There's something about seeing a classic car that instantly awakens a sense of nostalgia. Whether you grew up in the 1990s and fondly remember fun road trips in your family's vehicle, or you drove a sweet ride yourself during the decade, the '90s were a fun time for automobile lovers. As part of our Parade Rewind series, we're taking a walk down memory lane this month and revisiting several cultural highlights from the '90s. Today, we're exploring the seven most popular cars everyone wanted in the 1990s.

To learn more about the car landscape during the '90s, we chatted with Robert M. Kennedy, a car collector, auto expert and author of Mustang Unbridled: The High-Octane History of Ford’s Legendary Pony Car.

In recent months, Kennedy has walked us through the hottest car trends of the 1970s onward. This time around, he shares a few of the 1990s cars that were considered most iconic during the decade.

Since most people didn't necessarily own their dream car in the '90s, he also breaks down the different types of daily driver cars most people owned during the decade.

From the Dodge Ram and the Ford Mustang to the McLaren F1 and the Acura NSX, here's a list of the hottest cars of the '90s.

Which 1990s Cars Are the Most Iconic?

Kennedy tells Parade that the '90s were a "veritable heyday for outrageously styled high-performance cars."

"From movie cars like Michael Keaton’s Batmobile to concept cars like Ford’s GT90 and Indigo, fantasy rides were in top form," he says.

It'd be impossible to choose just one iconic car from an entire decade, so we asked Kennedy to share a few of the most iconic cars of the decade and he named seven of them: the McLaren F1, Mazda MX-5 Miata, Acura NSX, Ford Mustang (SN95), Chevrolet Corvette (C5), Dodge Viper and Dodge Ram.

What Cars Did Most People Drive in the 1990s?

Luxury cars are a lot different from daily drivers. During the '90s, Kennedy says most families gravitated towards traditional sedans like the Ford Taurus, Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.

"Station wagons, on the other hand, had largely been replaced by minivans and SUVs. Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge dominated the minivan market, though Ford, GM, Honda and Toyota all offered solid entries as well," he explains.

He notes that the biggest market growth was seen in truck and SUV sales.

"Ford’s F-Series, Ranger and Explorer led the way, while Chevrolet’s own full-size trucks were backed up by its S-10, Blazer, Tahoe and Suburban," he tells Parade. "Chrysler’s Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Ram also emerged as tremendously popular new offerings."

The McLaren F1 was one of the standout vehicles of the decade.

"This three-seat supercar positioned its driver in the center, flanked by passengers just behind each of their shoulders," Kennedy says. "Its BMW-sourced V12 sat in a gold-lined engine bay. Its carbon fiber body featured scissor doors, an active-aero spoiler to increase downforce and fans to decrease under-body air pressure."

The car pro says the vehicle was undeniably beautiful.

"Objectively, with 618 horsepower, a top speed of 240 mph and a base MSRP north of $800,000 (USD)/£540,000 (Euro), the McLaren F1 was (and is) the single most iconic 1990s car that everyone wanted—then and now," he shares.

2. Dodge Viper

"Throughout the ’90s, Ford’s V8 Mustang and Chevrolet’s V8 Corvette proved tremendously successful in their respective muscle car and sports car segments (as always)," Kennedy tells Parade. "But even as Plymouth’s V6-powered Prowler left enthusiasts wanting more, Dodge’s V10-powered Viper slithered through the decade, charming Americans eager for a domestically manufactured supercar with the kind of brute power needed to challenge European exotics."

The car was available in both its original RT/10 form and the GTS coupe, which he says was "wildly popular."

"Viper offered 400-450 hp and top speeds as high as 190 mph," the auto expert shares.

3. Chevrolet Corvette

"By the time the 'C5' Corvette arrived for model year 1997, its C4 predecessor had been on the market for 13 years," Kennedy explains. "The C5 featured an all-new hydroformed steel frame, LS1 V8 engine and the very first transaxle ever installed in a production ‘Vette."

Similar to the Mustang, the C5 earned a Motor Trend Car of the Year award.

"It eventually spawned multiple factory-built special editions and highly-tuned versions from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and Callaway Cars, Inc.," he shares.

4. Ford Mustang

"After 15 years of 'Fox-body' production, Ford Motor Company reinvigorated the then-30-year-old Mustang when it launched the 'SN95' Mustang for model year 1994," Kennedy states.

The retro-themed pony car quickly rose in popularity and earned a Motor Trend Car of the Year award.

"It eventually spawned several special editions including the ’95 Cobra R, ’96 Mystic Cobra and other high-performance models from Saleen, Roush, Steeda and other tuners before eventually adding another Cobra R, Bullitt GT and Mach 1 models in the early 2000s," he shares.

5. Mazda MX-5 Miata

"While Acura’s NSX represented the high-end of Japanese sports cars in the ’90s, Mazda’s Miata stood proud at the more attainable end," Kennedy says.

The automobile expert says the Mazda Miata was a "pint-sized back-to-basics roadster" that inspired the Porsche Boxster, BMW Z3, Mercedes-Benz SLK, Honda S2000, Chrysler Crossfire, Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky and Opel GT.

6. Acura NSX

Kennedy says the ’90s were a golden era for Japanese sports cars.

"From Mitsubishi’s 3000GT and its Dodge Stealth platform mate to Toyota’s Celica and Supra, Mazda’s RX-7, Nissan’s 300ZX and Acura’s Integra, there were plenty of affordable (and reliable) options to be had," he explains.

Even though there were so many options, Kennedy says no other car held as coveted a position in enthusiasts’ magazines and minds as the Acura NSX.

"Boasting a two-seat/mid-engine design with flip-up headlights, removable targa-style roof, rear-wheel drive and a manual transmission, the high-revving NSX arrived like a Japanese-built Ferrari, and enthusiasts loved it," he adds.

7. Dodge Ram

"Apart from its post-war Power Wagon and Malaise Era ‘Lil Red Express, Dodge’s full-size trucks had historically taken the proverbial backseat to Ford and GM’s offerings," Kennedy notes.

However, that changed when Dodge released its all-new Ram for the model year 1994.

"Its handsome styling and muscular V8 and V10 engines earned it a Motor Trend Truck of the Year award. It was featured in movies like Twister and TV shows like Walker and Texas Ranger. As a result, its annual sales quadrupled," he explains.

Florida health officials have confirmed a second death this year from Vibrio vulnificus, the rare bacteria known as "flesh-eating" that lives naturally in warm coastal waters.

The Florida Department of Health reported the latest death in a Marion County resident between the ages of 60 and 64. The state's first death of the year was reported in June in Palm Beach County, involving a victim between the ages of 10 and 14.

Fourteen cases have now been confirmed statewide in 2026, spread across counties including Lee, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Marion. By comparison, Florida recorded 33 cases and five deaths from the bacteria last year.

Vibrio vulnificus occurs naturally in brackish water, where saltwater and freshwater mix. Most infections happen after eating raw or undercooked shellfish, especially oysters, which concentrate the bacteria as they feed. People with open wounds, cuts or recent piercings can also become infected through direct contact with seawater.

Despite its nickname, the bacterium doesn't technically eat flesh. It can, however, trigger necrotizing fasciitis, a fast-moving infection of the tissue beneath the skin that can require emergency surgery or amputation to stop from spreading.

Healthy people usually experience only mild symptoms, but the infection can turn severe quickly for anyone with a weakened immune system, particularly those with chronic liver disease. Once the bacteria reaches the bloodstream, symptoms can include fever, chills, dangerously low blood pressure and blistering skin lesions.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, roughly 80,000 vibriosis infections occur nationwide each year, and about one in five people who contract the bacteria die, sometimes within a day or two of symptoms appearing.

Health officials recommend cooking shellfish thoroughly, avoiding raw oysters altogether for high-risk individuals, and staying out of brackish water with any open wounds. Infections tend to climb between June and September, when more people are swimming, boating and eating fresh seafood.

Martha Stewart has a refreshingly candid take on marriage and she's not sugarcoating it.

While reflecting on life more than three decades after divorcing her ex-husband Andrew "Andy" Stewart, the lifestyle mogul told PEOPLE exclusively that getting married again simply isn't high on her list of priorities. "The older you get, the less you really need a mate, I think," Stewart said. "It's less important."

In fact, the 85-year-old admitted there's one part of growing older with a spouse that doesn't particularly appeal to her. "I wouldn't want to be beleaguered with an older, ill person," she added. That doesn't mean Stewart has closed the door on romance altogether. She's still open to dating - and even joked that younger men aren't off the table.

"Been there, done that," she said. "I have lots of friends. I'm not a lonely person. I have a very, very full - oh, probably too full! - life. I go out...I don't know if you call them dates or not, but I go out."

Stewart's comments come as she also reflected on her marriage to Andrew Stewart, whom she wed while attending Barnard College. The couple divorced in 1990 after welcoming daughter Alexis together. Despite the difficult ending, Stewart said she still looks back fondly on the beginning of their relationship. "Oh, I was madly in love," she recalled. "Of course I have very fond memories. We were a very fine couple. Wherever we went, we were the couple."

More than 35 years after their divorce, Stewart's outlook has clearly evolved. These days, she's content with a busy social life, meaningful friendships and the freedom to define happiness on her own terms, even if that doesn't include another walk down the aisle.

For Martha Stewart, it seems the lesson of a lifetime spent building, running, and reinventing an empire has extended into her personal life too: independence, not partnership, is what feels most valuable to her now.

Before he became one of horror's most recognizable faces, Tobin Bell made a memorable stop in one of Seinfeld's most beloved episodes.

Bell, who turns 84 on Aug. 7, appeared in the season 4 episode "The Old Man" as the owner of a used record store, where Kramer (Michael Richards) and Newman (Wayne Knight) try to cash in on Jerry's unwanted vinyl collection. The pair are insulted when the shop owner offers just $5 for the records, setting off one of the episode's funniest side stories.

The 1993 episode, which paired Jerry, George and Elaine with senior companions while Kramer and Newman launched their ill-fated record-selling business, has remained a fan favorite thanks to its intertwining storylines and memorable supporting characters. Bell's no-nonsense record store owner may have appeared only briefly, but it came more than a decade before the role that would make him a household name.

Jigsaw Changed Everything

Bell spent years building a career with small but memorable roles in films and television, appearing in projects including The Firm, Mississippi Burning, The Sopranos and 24. His breakthrough finally arrived in 2004 when he was cast as John Kramer, better known as Jigsaw, in Saw.

The low-budget horror film became an unexpected phenomenon, launching one of the highest-grossing horror franchises ever. Bell reprised the role in eight sequels, portraying Jigsaw across nine Saw films and earning a reputation as one of the genre's defining villains.

A Career Decades in the Making

Bell's success didn't happen overnight. Before Saw, he spent years taking background and stand-in roles while honing his craft, even as fellow actors questioned his approach. Looking back, Bell recalled that others at the Actors Studio thought the work was "stupid or degrading," but he never saw it that way.

"I was making money and getting closer to the camera," he told the Washington Post in an interview. "You get to see what people have to do, what's required of them, what the technical restraints are. I wanted to be close to the real thing because I always thought my future was in film."

That patience eventually paid off. Bell landed his first credited feature film role in Mississippi Burning at age 46 before spending another decade building a résumé of memorable supporting roles. When Saw arrived in 2004, he immediately recognized the potential of John Kramer.

Although Jigsaw spends much of the original film lying motionless on the floor, Bell said he "saw how pivotal Jigsaw was to the story," adding that he "did not anticipate that last moment in the slightest." The surprise ending helped launch one of horror's biggest franchises and transformed Bell into the face of Jigsaw.

More than 20 years after Saw first hit theaters, Bell remains closely identified with Jigsaw. He returned once again for 2023's Saw X, with critics praising both the film and his performance, proving that one of horror's most chilling villains still has plenty of life left in him.

As Marvel prepares for its long-awaited X-Men reboot, the franchise may have found its Cyclops in Heartstopper’s breakout star, Kit Connor.

Following the announcement that Samara Weaving is being eyed to play Emma Frost in the upcoming X-Men film, sources told Deadline that Connor is Marvel’s choice for Cyclops, a role previously played by James Marsden in the 2000s and Tye Sheridan in the 2010s.

Although Deadline was unable to reach Marvel and Connor’s reps for comment, the outlet reported that director Jake Schreier and Marvel president Kevin Feige met with many candidates.

“Sources say the studio ultimately landed on Connor last week to become the latest actor to don the Cyclops visor,” Deadline wrote.

The original X-Men — Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Marsden as Cyclops, alongside their other co-stars — will team up once again in Avengers: Doomsday. Although the X-Men were previously absent from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox in 2019 allows them to include the X-Men in both Doomsday and the reboot.

While the plot for the X-Men movie remains under wraps, Feige said that Sadie Sink’s character in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Jean Grey, is a role “that our fans know has immense significance within the Marvel Universe.”

“She plays a key role in the future of the MCU,” Feige said to Variety.

Connor’s character, Cyclops, and Sink’s Jean Grey are often a romantic couple in the X-Men comics. While they weren’t always romantically together, their friendship “along with Scott Summers’ quiet pining, gradually developed into a genuine romance,” ScreenRant wrote.

Although it hasn’t been confirmed if Cyclops and Jean Grey will be together in the upcoming reboot, fans' initial reactions to the casting have been mixed.

“No hate, but putting him alongside Sadie, they’ll look like siblings,” one user said on Instagram.

However, others have been excited by Connor’s casting.

“Kit is great and an excellent casting choice,” another user said. “Welcome to the MCU.”

The Monkees were known for their catchy chart-topping pop tunes, but in 1968 they released a song unlike anything they had ever recorded before.

Created as the theme song for the movie Head, “Porpoise Song” delved into psychedelia with experimental melodies, chimes and bells, dreamlike vocals, and aquatic effects—including porpoise sounds. Led by Micky Dolenz, the song closes out with Davy Jones singing “goodbye” multiple times before a musical outro plays for over a minute.

The song was written by future music legend Carole King and her husband Gerry Goffin, three years before King would become a household name with her breakout album Tapestry.

In a Facebook post, King shared recollections of the song, which appeared at the beginning and the end of the Monkees film starring Dolenz, Jones, Michael Nesmith, and Peter Tork.

King shared quotes from Monkees producer and Head screenwriter Bob Rafelson, who once said “Porpoise Song” was critical to the movie and that it became “the most elaborate production ever for a Monkees recording.”

“It was Carole or Gerry's idea to record live porpoise sounds and use them on the track," Rafelson was quoted as saying. “That's what you hear [at the end of the song]. I just thought that they were the appropriate people. It is far and away my favorite Monkees' song.”

Dolenz once explained that the band’s decision to make Head, a film about a surreal series of events written by Rafelson and Jack Nicholson, was a way to break away from the band’s TV image.

“We were looking to move on: we didn’t want to make a film that was a feature-length Monkees episode where Davy falls in love and the girl’s uncle is a crook and we have to save him and we sing her some songs,” he told The Guardian in 2025. “So Head was a little bit stream-of-consciousness. …It did terribly at the box office. Nobody seemed to care. I certainly didn’t. But of course now it’s this incredible cult film.”

Dolenz did like the film’s theme song, which reached No. 62 on the Billboard Hot 100 in October 1968.

When asked by Rock Cellar magazine if there was a Monkees song he wished more people would have heard, he replied, “’As We Go Along’ or ‘Porpoise Song’ from the movie Head.”

Decades later, fans remain mesmerized by “Porpoise Song,” with some posting about the Monkees classic on social media forums. In a recent Reddit post, fans described the song as “haunting” and “a supreme musical moment for everyone involved.”

“Hearing ‘Porpoise Song’ takes me right back to Fall '68, and makes the current moment special too,” another fan wrote.

“Always loved this bit of psychedelia from Carole King. And a nice performance by the Monkees,” added another Monkees fan.

Jacquie O'Sullivan was a member of the all-girl group Bananarama from 1988 until 1991, replacing Siobhan Fahey. During her time with the band, they had two UK top five hits with “I Want You Back” and a cover of “Help!” from The Beatles. Today, she turns 66.

When speaking with The Guardian, she revealed that her time with Bananarama wasn’t all positive. “I was a feral young girl,” she said. “I’d come from a band with a punk mentality (girl group the Shillelagh Sisters) and literally didn’t wash, I was so wild, and when I joined this band that felt like a machine, I didn’t deal with it very well. I was self-medicating, not turning up for interviews, and at the end it got so bad that Hillary [Shaw], our manager, would be ringing round hotels to see if I was there, because we were supposed to be flying off to do a show.”

O'Sullivan went on to explain how close the other two band members were. “What I didn’t know when I joined the band was that Sara [Dallin] and Keren [Woodward] had known each other since they were kids,” she said. “We never had horrible words ever, but I was there to fill the space, and I got the impression that they would’ve much rather gone on as a duo.”

The pair did continue on as a duo in 1991 after O'Sullivan ended up leaving the group. The two women still perform and record songs to this day.

When speaking about her other band members, O'Sullivan continued, “I hold no grudges. I didn’t take any responsibility for myself and how I was acting back then, and now I do. If I saw the girls, I’d be happy to give them a big hug.”

Before joining the band, she was the lead singer of the Shillelagh Sisters, which was another all-female group. They broke up in 1984 due to differences between the band members and disapproval over the way CBS Records was marketing them.

Nowadays, it's safe to say that The Breakfast Club remains one of the most iconic films of the 1980s, not to mention one of the most universally beloved teen movies ever made.

A rousing study of teenage angst and the struggles that come with young adulthood, The Breakfast Club has continually earned rave reviews from critics and contemporary viewers alike, with most teenage audiences connecting with the film over its emotional portrayal of high school age groups.

While a fantastic movie on its own, it's interesting to note that director and writer John Hughes planned a tentative sequel to the film near the end of his life, one that would have followed the movie's main cast as they settled into their 30s.

In a recent interview on The Rich Eisen Show,Breakfast Club star Anthony Michael Hall discussed Hughes' original plans for a sequel, revealing that his last conversation with the director was a lengthy phone call with the late comedian John Candy.

“The last time I spoke to Mr. Hughes, he called me with John Candy on the phone and it was about 1988 and we just hung out on the phone for a couple hours and he talked about it at that time,” the 58-year-old Hall said. “It was something that was on his mind, the idea of bringing back The Breakfast Club.”

"Like those five characters reunited somehow later in their life and they’re in the workforce and they’re in their 30s. I mean, it’s a long time ago," the Edward Scissorhands actor continued.

“So, I think that it was something he was playing with,” Hall went on to say. “I don’t know if he had written it or not, but he just was so prolific.”

As evidence of that fact, Hall recounted that Hughes initially approached him with the plot of Weird Science in between scenes on The Breakfast Club.

“He came to me about a couple weeks in and we were shooting The Breakfast Club and he came to me in the hallway," Hall remembered. "He goes, ‘I just came up with the other idea for our next film.’ He goes, ‘It’s going to be you and this other kid. You’re going to create a girl in the computer.’ I’m like, ‘What?’"

“He wrote an entire act of Weird Science after we had wrapped the night before," the actor continued. "So, he was just incredibly prolific.”

Tommy Detamore, the pedal steel guitarist, engineer and producer behind decades of country records, has died. His wife, Sandra, confirmed his passing on Wednesday, August 5.

Word spread quickly through the country music community, with musicians and fans sharing memories of a player and producer known as much for his generosity as his talent.

From Session Stages to His Own Studio

Detamore's musical path started in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he took up guitar in high school before discovering pedal steel in college under the mentorship of steel guitar legend Buddy Charleton. He moved to Texas in 1981 to back Darrell McCall, then spent seven years as Moe Bandy's steel guitar player, performing on Hee-Haw, Nashville Now and the Grand Ole Opry stage.

In 1991, Detamore opened Cherry Ridge Studio in Floresville, Texas, and shifted his focus toward engineering and producing. The studio became a destination for Texas country artists, and his production credits eventually stretched from genre veterans like Ray Price and Johnny Bush to newer names such as Sunny Sweeney and 2025 breakout artist Ty Myers.

Fellow Musicians and Fans React

Sandra described her husband of 41 years as far more than a musician, calling him "the love of my life" and crediting his God-given gift for helping shape the country sound heard today.

Sweeney, who credits Detamore with producing her debut album, called his death an "immeasurable loss" in a tribute posted online. Fellow artist Tracy Pitcox, who worked alongside Detamore on multiple projects, remembered that he "always knew what to play," recalling road trips and cruises the two shared over the years.

Fans and fellow musicians echoed that sentiment across social media. One commenter wrote that Detamore was simply the best steel guitar player to ever play the instrument, while another called him a walking history book whose loss would be felt across the genre for years to come. Detamore was a member of the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame.

Thirteen years after releasing their most commercially successful album, AM, Arctic Monkeys earned another major milestone as "No. 1 Party Anthem" continued to prove its enduring popularity by scoring a major streaming achievement.

Spotify, one of the world's largest music streaming platforms, unveils a list celebrating songs that have surpassed one billion streams.

For July, the rock band's 2013 track officially joined Spotify's Billions Club after hitting the one billion-stream mark, alongside popular singles like Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train," Pink's "What About Us," Blink-182's pop-punk anthem "What's My Age Again?" and more.

Written by lead vocalist Alex Turner, "No. 1 Party Anthem" is not a fast-paced club song but rather a melancholic indie rock ballad, the complete opposite of its title.

Rolling Stone Australia even described it as "one of the best late-night tales" that the Arctic Monkeys frontman has ever told.

As for Turner, he described it as a "kind of midnight where you feel like you're in this parallel universe."

In a separate interview, the 40-year-old musician spoke about the journey of writing the melody to sound natural and conversational instead of following a catchy formula.

"I was trying to get away from melodies that stick on something, and it was one of the first melodies that meandered around a bit," he told Uncut via Songfacts. "You get that on 'Do I Wanna Know?' and a couple of others, as well, on the melody and the bridge. It's almost kind of conversational more than melodic. It doesn't seem to follow a formula. You don't really know where the next line is going to move melodically, which is exciting for me".

"No. 1 Party Anthem" served as the sixth track on the band's fifth album, which was heavily promoted by its six official singles.

However, despite never being released as an official single, it has become one of the band's most beloved deep cuts, earning a devoted following over the years.

50 years ago the legendary David Bowie found himself within the maelstrom of bursting creativity, crippling drug addiction, and a newfound superstardom that made him a household name. Throughout the production of the album, Bowie was heavily abusing cocaine, which is something he has spoken about very openly in the years afterward when he got clean. This is combined with the subsequent tour following the album where Bowie's addiction in combination with him falling deep into his album persona of the "Thin White Duke" caused him to have a series of controversial concerts where he reportedly was acting like a fascist sympathizer.

All of this is to show how improbable the success of this album is on paper. Bowie was going through a lot personally which would typically creatively derail a project of this size and anticipation. Bowie was no mere man however, and he managed to deliver one of his most iconic records of all time.

Featuring songs like the title track, "Word on a Wing", "Stay", and "Wild is the Wind" (my personal favorite), the album has some of Bowie strongest material, and carries a unique atmosphere of darkness, coldness, and coolness. It's absolute must listen material for any music fan.

“Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini” was a 1960 song by Brian Hyland, a teen idol at the time. The song was a worldwide hit that reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Over the years, the song was included in multiple films and television shows, including Doctor Who, Contact, Sister Act 2, and Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise.

In an interview with Gary James, Hyland spoke about how the song was originally created. “After recording some demos for Sammy Kaye's publishing company, I was signed to Kapp Records to record my first record, ‘Rosemary,’ which sold about 20,000,” he said. “While preparing to record a second session, the writers, Paul Vance and Lee Pockriss, brought in the Bikini song, which I learned over the weekend and then recorded. It was released within weeks.”

He went on to reveal he was still in high school when the song hit No. 1. “As it turned out, the ‘Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini’ record came out and up the charts to number one in the Summer of 1960, and I was on the road in the Fall and never returned to high school. I finished at a school for professionals in New York City with actors like Patty Duke.”

Although he achieved fame when he was only a teenager, he started performing at a young age. He created his first band, The Delfis, when he was only 12. When speaking about his first band, he said, “Well, my group The Delfis was actually a Doo Wop vocal group for fun, and I played guitar. We made a demo tape and took the subway to make the rounds of record companies. We were young and basically dismissed, but I was persistent and ambitious, that's all.”

Hyland had other hits over the years, including “Sealed with a Kiss,” which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. He also recorded “Ginny Come Lately” and “The Joker Went Wild.”

Earth, Wind & Fire postponed their San Francisco show on Thursday, Aug. 7, just a few minutes before taking the stage.

“We are unable to perform as scheduled tonight at Chase Center in San Francisco due to a medical emergency involving a member of our band,” the group posted an Instagram. “As a result, tonight’s show with Lionel Richie will be rescheduled, with a new date to be announced soon."

"Ticket holders should retain their tickets, which will be honored for the new date, or refunds will be available at the point of purchase," they continued. "We sincerely apologize for the unexpected change and appreciate everyone's understanding."

There were no further details on which member suffered the medical emergency or how severe it was.

However, TMZ further reported that Mariano Elias, a rep for the SF Fire Department, told the outlet that a fire engine and a private ambulance were at the Chase Center ahead of the concert, responding to a "cardiac incident." Elias said that the ambulance transported one person to the local hospital and the patient is in critical condition.

"However, if the corn is out of season, simmering in milk, butter and sugar would be a great route to take to enhance the natural flavor and sweetness, making it taste more like its fresh-picked self again."
