Gold Plated 0.20ctw Diamond Heart Pendant with Chain, $90 (was $180) at ShopHQIt’s been marked down a jaw dropping 50% from its original $180 price tag, which makes it an incredible deal. The diamonds are near colorless, giving them a bright white appearance, and they have a I2-I3 clarity grade, which means they may have imperfections, but they aren’t easy to see, particularly at the size of the diamonds in the pendant. So, it has a delicate look and feel that you can wear every day without overpowering your ensemble. Over 80 Minutes of Unseen 1970 Footage From a Legendary Band Surfaces Online
On June 28, 1970, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham took the stage as a beloved rock band and left rock legends. The Bath Festival in the UK, a three-day event, was filled with memorable acts like Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, The Byrds, and Santana, but what everyone remembers is a young Led Zeppelin headlining. While there was footage of the landmark event, most of it remained unreleased for decades—but now all of that has changed.
"After 56 years, I am proud to present all the 16mm footage shot by Peter Whitehead and Ernie Vincze of Led Zeppelin's performance at the Bath Festival on June 28th, 1970," wrote film archivist ledzepfilm. "Rumored for decades, this is a monumental addition to the Led Zeppelin canon and an essential watch for any fan."
The Story Behind the Lost 16mm Film of Led Zeppelin's Historic PerformanceThe pivotal moment in the band's career was captured on film by Whitehead and Vincze, who were under the impression they were making a documentary of sorts. The pair originally intended to shoot the festival and interview the band, according to Louder.
"In the spring of 1970, he would go on to edit a 42-minute rough cut of the footage using temp audio recorded by the film crew, as Led Zeppelin, unhappy with their performance, refused them access to the multi-track recordings," the archivist said.
Related: The Real Reason This Unforgettable 2012 Performance Brought a Tough Rock Icon to Tears
The two were late, missed the band's epic helicopter arrival, and did not have the right equipment to shoot at dusk and at night. Much of the captured footage was deemed unusable due to its darkness. The unreleased footage shows moments between Plant and Bonham backstage, as well as the debut live performance of "Immigrant Song". Though some of the audio is missing, the footage is still incredible to witness, as the moment really cemented their status as rock legends.
To this day, people remember the show fondly.
"My most lingering memories of this night, in addition to the fact that the ground had finally dried out after the rain and the crowd's mood was palpably lifting, was the way the band came on right at sunset--afterwards we learned Peter Grant had orchestrated this, but at the time it seemed like an incredible piece of natural drama," a fan recalled via a comment on Led Zeppelin's website. "There was a mad rush to the front, the result of this being that I couldn't personally see anything, but no trouble hearing--so incredibly loud you could feel the vibrations through the ground. And they were fabulous, of course."

Music Icon Cancels Concert Minutes Before Going on Stage—And Fans Are Worried
Music icon Barry Manilow has fans worried about his health after he rescheduled a show in Kentucky just minutes before going on stage.
"Due to unforeseen circumstances tonight’s show in Lexington has been rescheduled," read a message posted to Manilow's X page on August 4.
The announcement came as fans were already seated inside the venue and waiting for the concert to begin, leaving many surprised by the last-minute postponement. News of the abrupt cancellation quickly spread across social media, where fans expressed concern for the 83-year-old singer and hoped the postponement was only a precaution.
"Continued prayers for you! Prayed throughout the night," one person wrote.
"We traveled from Cincinnati to hear him! I hope all is well. It wasn’t canceled until 30 minutes before start time," someone else said.
"Dear God. Please watch over Barry and keep him well and healthy," a third comment read.
The reason for the show's last-minute cancellation is unclear. While it's possible that there were some technical difficulties at the venue, longtime fans know that Manilow's been having some health issues in recent years.
In December 2025, Manilow shared that he'd been diagnosed with lung cancer.
"As many of you know I recently went through six weeks of bronchitis followed by a relapse of another five weeks," he wrote in a statement posted on Instagram at the time. "Even though I was over the bronchitis and back on stage at the Westgate Las Vegas, my wonderful doctor ordered an MRI just to make sure that everything was OK. The MRI discovered a cancerous spot on my left lung that needs to be removed. It's pure luck (and a great doctor) that it was found so early."
At the time of this writing, neither Manilow nor his team have shared any update about Tuesday night's show.
Parade has reached out to Manilow's rep for comment.
The "Copacabana" singer is scheduled to perform in Cincinnati tonight.

Brett Goldstein's Net Worth is Definitely Not 'Shrinking' in 2026
Television fans who know Brett Goldstein from his acting roles—most notably his Emmy-winning breakout performance as gruff footballer Roy Kent in the Apple TV seriesTed Lasso—might be surprised to learn how multi-faceted the London-born star's Hollywood career really is.
Along with being an actor, Goldstein also serves as a writer and executive producer on the streaming hit, which is officially returning for Season 4 in August 2026. “I would love to see 1,000 seasons," he told Parade back in 2022. "I would happily do that show until I die."
Goldstein also stars as Louis Winston in Shrinking, now streaming on Apple TV. The actor also co-created the Emmy-nominated series with Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence.
Yet despite his relatively newfound fame, Goldstein has been honing his craft for decades. “I’m a 20-year overnight success!” he joked to The Sunday Times. “But I get it. Nobody saw me before. Still, I’ve always made enough money to pay bills, between stand-up, acting, writing, editing.” And even more, he'd "do it for free," he told the outlet, cheekily adding: "Just don’t tell Apple."
Through it all he's stayed humble and grateful. ‘I’m very lucky," he continued. "I do the thing I love and earn enough, so if this is the rest of my life, I’m the happiest guy in the world.’”
So between his standup career, movie roles and two hit series, how much money has Brett Goldstein made and what is his current net worth in 2026? Let's "kick" off our deep dive!
Related: Woody Harrelson’s Net Worth Is Worth a Hearty ‘Cheers’
Through his work as an actor, writer, producer and comedian, Brett Goldstein has amassed an estimated net worth of $10 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
And that figure will only increase in the coming years, especially with all of the movies he's booking. First, there's the Kornél Mundruczó-directed drama At the Sea—which premiered to rave reviews at the Berlin International Film Festival on Feb. 16. He also wrote the screenplay for Office Romance, a romcom he led with Jennifer Lopez.
How much did Brett Goldstein make from Ted Lasso? Brett Goldstein in Ted LassoApple TV
During Season 3 of Ted Lasso, Brett Goldstein was reportedly bringing in $125,000 to $150,000 per episode—which means he earned a cool $1.5 to $1.8 million for the season. That's a significant boost from Seasons 1 and 2, where he was reportedly earning between $50,000 to $75,000 per episode. And by the way, that's just for his acting performance—it doesn't his earnings for being a producer and writer on the show. (The earnings from his entire deal have not been publicized.)

In January 2022, the actor-writer inked an exclusive, multi-year deal with Warner Bros. Television to develop, create and produce new TV projects for the studio. The exact amount that Goldstein earned from the overall deal has not been publicly disclosed, but similar first-look deals can be worth $500,000 to $1 million annually. (Abbott Elementary creator-slash-starQuinta Brunson—as well as Hacks co-creators Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs— are fellow talents who have recently signed overall deals with the Warner Bros. TV Group.)
What movies and TV shows has Brett Goldstein been in?After having his feature film debut in the 2005 thriller Wish You Were Here, which he also wrote, Goldstein has acted in films such as SuperBob (2015), Adult Life Skills (2016), Thor: Love and Thunder (2022), The Garfield Movie (2024) and All of You (2024)—the latter of which he also co-wrote and co-produced.
On the small screen, along with Shrinking and Ted Lasso, Goldstein has appeared in multiple series—including the Channel 4 dramedy Derek, the British sitcoms Drifters and Uncle and the 2019 dramedy series This Way Up. In 2020, he co-created the anthology series Soulmates with his SuperBob co-writer Will Bridges. He also starred in his debut stand-up special—Brett Goldstein: The Second Best Night of Your Life—which premiered on HBO and HBO Max on April 26, 2025.

Legendary Bass Guitarist Turns 78
Willie Weeks is a legendary bass guitarist who has performed with icons like David Bowie, Jimmy Buffett, Eric Clapton, The Doobie Brothers, Bette Midler, Randy Newman, Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones, and James Taylor. Today, he turns 78.
One of his most popular performances was his three-and-a-half-minute solo in Donny Hathaway’s “Voices Inside (Everything Is Everything.” Weeks spoke to Bass Player about recording the solo, saying, "Everywhere I go, somebody knows my name because of that bass solo. It's not like with Michael Jackson – I don't get mobbed – but I am famous, and I like it.”

He continued, "It's as incredible as that night Donny said, 'On bass, ladies and gentlemen, the baddest bass player in the country – Willie Weeks, y'all!' I'm like, 'Oh, my God! What did he say? What am I going to do?' I thought, I'd better build slow!"
George Harrison, from The Beatles, complimented Weeks during a press conference in 1974, admitting how much he liked working with the musician. “The point is, it’s all a fantasy, the idea of putting the Beatles back together again,” Harrison said. “If we ever do that, the reason will be that we are all broke. There’s more chance that we’ll do it because we’re broke than because … and even then … to play with the Beatles … I mean, I’d rather have Willie Weeks on bass than Paul McCartney. That’s the truth, with all respect to Paul.”
He also stated, “I also like really clever bass, like Willie Weeks, who is very clever and funky and versatile, but at the same time is very melodic, too. So I do like that kind of bass playing-but for my kind of music, bass really just needs to hit the right notes at the right time.”

Weeks is one of the most popular bass guitarists of all time, who has inspired others to pick up the instrument. As one YouTube comment said, “The reason I started playing bass… Willie Weeks is an inspirational monster.” Another said, “Willie Weeks is pure perfection.”

When it comes to furniture, it can sometimes feel like you have to choose between style and functionality. That’s what makes the Ebello Modern Oval Nightstand such a standout. Right now, it’s on sale for 40% off at Walmart, bringing the price down from $50 to just $30. For a piece that looks far more expensive than it is while offering plenty of useful features, it’s an impressive value.

1983 Rock Song, Never a No. 1 Hit, Ranked Among 'Greatest Protest Songs’ of All Time
More than four decades after U2 released their signature anthem "Sunday Bloody Sunday," the iconic track remains one of rock music's most impactful songs.
With a slew of standout tracks and chart-topping hits, the band's 1983 anthem earned a spot on the 10 Greatest Protest Songs in Classic Rock.
In a ranking released by Collider, the compilation highlights the most influential and powerful songs that convey social, political or anti-war messages.
The Edge and Bono of U2 during the Joshua Tree Tour in 1987From Creedence Clearwater Revival's 1969 song "Fortunate Son" and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's "Ohio" to Bob Dylan's "Masters of War," which claimed the top three spots, "Sunday Bloody Sunday" ranked No. 6.
Written by lead singer Bono while guitarist The Edge developed much of the music, the song was inspired by the 1972 Bloody Sunday massacre in Derry, Northern Ireland, where 13 unarmed civil rights protesters were shot dead by British soldiers.
Although "Sunday Bloody Sunday" was a direct response to the massacre, Bono clarified that it was never meant to be a "rebel song," a point he famously emphasized with his iconic concert introduction: "This is not a rebel song."
Instead, it was the band's way of condemning the bloodshed and mourning the loss of innocent lives affected by the conflict.
The song also served as the opening track on U2's acclaimed 1983 album War.
At the time, it became one of U2’s most enduring songs, despite never reaching No. 1, as the band opted not to release it as a commercial single.
Amid its enduring popularity, there was a time when U2 almost quit playing "Sunday Bloody Sunday" live.
Bono previously recalled that the band was scheduled to perform in Belfast, the heart of the decades-long conflict known as the Troubles.
At the time, the rock band was unsure how the audience would react and was ready to stop performing the song live.
“I walked to the microphone; I didn’t know what I was going to say,” he recalled as cited by Far Out Magazine. “In fact, what I said to them was, ‘If you don’t like this song, if you don’t like it, we will never play it again.’ At the end of the song, the crowd virtually pulled the concert hall down in the most joyful way that a concert hall could be pulled down. It was a joyful riot if you could imagine such a thing.”
The impact of "Sunday Bloody Sunday" has made it a timeless symbol of peace and resistance while cementing the band's legacy in rock history.

‘Ted Lasso’ Star, 37, Quietly Marries a Man She Met on the Hit Show
Juno Temple is one of the stars of Ted Lasso. She plays Keeley Jones, an iconic character who works as the Head of Marketing in the Apple TV series. Jones recently tied the knot with her partner, Michal Szymanski, whom she met on the set of the show.
Temple hasn’t spoken about her relationship much publicly. However, she did mention Szymanski in a 2024 interview with the Los Angeles Times. “My dialect coach, Liz Himelstein, did the original Fargo movie and has done every season since,” she revealed. “I started working with her while I was shooting Ted Lasso, which was interesting for my fiancé. He was like, ‘There’s a lot of people in this apartment right now—Keely, Juno and Dot.’”

Jimmy Fallon Unleashes Fake ‘Secret’ Trump-Iran Recording in Wild Monologue
Jimmy Fallon had some fun with President Donald Trump’s claims that the U.S. is holding peace talks with Iran, unveiling a hilarious “top secret” recording that supposedly proved the negotiations were real.
During his latest Tonight Show monologue, Fallon mocked the confusing back-and-forth surrounding Trump’s Iran comments, joking that the president released “secret audio” of talks after Iran denied they were happening. The comedian also took aim at reports that the U.S. military was seeking “creative” ways to pressure Iran, turning the tense international situation into a series of absurd punchlines.
Fallon opened the segment by joking about reports that the U.S. had used up much of its long-range missile supply, quipping that the country’s backup plan was to send Iran “thousands of Lime scooters” and hope they injured themselves.
He then shifted to Trump’s claim that the U.S. was engaged in peace talks with Iran — a claim Iran denied — and imagined the president releasing a “top secret” recording as proof.
“So he just released some top secret audio of the negotiations that he’s definitely been having,” Fallon joked before rolling into a fake clip parodying Trump’s alleged peace talks.
Fallon continued roasting the Iran situation by parodying reports that the military was looking for unconventional ways to pressure the country. He introduced a fictional General Ethan Thorne, who offered bizarre suggestions ranging from inviting Iran to dinner and giving them the cold shoulder to launching an “Operation French Toast Pillows.”
The fake general eventually abandoned the ridiculous ideas for a serious foreign policy response, prompting Fallon to mock him with repeated calls for a “diplomatic off-ramp.”
The jokes came as late-night hosts continued using Trump’s foreign policy statements and political controversies as material for satire. Fallon later switched gears, aiming at summer movies with a ridiculous Paw Patroltrailer parody and other entertainment jokes.
The Disney Vacation Club Benefits Members Say Make It Worth Every Penny
As a multigenerational family with three young children, we've been visiting Walt Disney World Resort for years. We love staying “in the magic” at the resort's hotels, hopping on free Disney transportation and taking advantage of the countless free things to do beyond the theme parks.
But it wasn't until I experienced the benefits of Disney Vacation Club firsthand that I realized just how many extra perks exist for members. Disney Vacation Club recently invited our family to visit during Welcome Home Weeks, an annual summer appreciation event exclusively for members. We stayed at a Disney Vacation Club property and got a taste of everything members enjoy year-round.
Here's why the experience was wonderful, along with the many benefits that have me seriously considering membership.

Step Inside Disney Vacation Club's Private Member Lounges The view of the Magic Kingdom's nightly fireworks display from the private terrace at Disney Vacation Club's Top of the World Lounge at Bay Lake Tower.Hidden inside Disney's theme parks and resorts, Disney Vacation Club's private member lounges are exclusive, air-conditioned retreats where eligible members can relax with complimentary soft drinks, coffee, snacks and Wi-Fi.
At Walt Disney World, options include McKim's Mile House at Magic Kingdom, ImaginAtrium at EPCOT, Gateway to Discovery at Disney Springs and Top of the World Lounge — A Villain's Lair, perched atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
All four lounges impressed us, but Top of the World Lounge stole our hearts. This elegantly villain-themed hideaway lets members watch the Magic Kingdom's nightly fireworks from a private terrace, with the show's synchronized soundtrack piped in for full effect.
“My favorite part of Top of the World Lounge is enjoying one of the best views of the Happily Ever After fireworks with minimal crowds, and it’s complimentary for eligible members,” said Disney Vacation Club member Christina Skowronek, a planDisney panelist.
We booked the Wicked Wind Down experience, a paid package that includes a table inside the lounge plus one drink, appetizer, and dessert per person—and it was one of the best meals I've had on Disney property. The portions are generous and the drinks are delicious. Our family shared a spread of herb-roasted shrimp, a hummus platter, two types of flatbread and a warm pretzel. And dessert was a showstopper: a towering slice of the chef's signature multilayered chocolate cake of the day.
Afterward, we stepped out onto the private terrace for a spectacular fireworks show. It was an evening our family will never forget.

Book Popular Disney Resorts Early The Island Tower at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is a 10-story Disney Vacation Club property at Walt Disney World Resort.Disney Vacation Club functions as an ultra-flexible timeshare: members purchase a real estate interest represented by annual Vacation Points. Each member selects a home resort and can book that resort 11 months before check-in, with access to book all other Disney Vacation Club resorts seven months out.
Ask any member their favorite benefit, and most will say the same thing: being able to book the rooms and dates they want at their home resort before everyone else.
“One of the best Disney Vacation Club perks is being able to book our home resort, Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, 11 months in advance. It helps me secure our daughters’ birthday trips, especially during busier seasons,” Skowronek said. “Then, at the seven-month mark, I can check for another resort we may want to try and easily modify our reservation online without canceling and starting over. I love the flexibility, and being able to see exactly how many points the change will require right on the website.”
Stretch Out in Spacious Disney Vacation Club Villas The dining room and living room inside a three-bedroom Grand Villa at Disney's Riviera Resort. As a family that often travels with kids, parents and grandparents, I've come to appreciate just how much a larger room can transform a trip. One of our favorite properties is the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, which sleeps six across a living room (complete with a queen Murphy bed and full kitchen) and a bedroom with a queen bed and bunk beds.
But it wasn't until I toured the Disney Vacation Club lodging at Disney's Riviera Resort and Island Tower at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows that I realized how many configurations exist for families of every size. Studios, one-, two- and even three-bedroom villas are available at many resorts. My favorite was the three-bedroom Grand Villa at Disney's Riviera Resort: a jaw-dropping 2,530 square feet that sleeps up to 12 adults and is decorated beautifully. (Also, I want to live there.)
Non-members can technically book Disney Vacation Club properties through the standard resort system, but the largest villas are so popular they're released first to members (and some are reserved exclusively for member booking), making it much harder for non-members to snag one. If spacious accommodations are a priority, membership is the way to go.

Unlock Disney Vacation Club Discounts on Dining, Shopping and More Two of the author's children with Donald Duck at Tusker House Restaurant, a dining experience at Disney's Animal Kingdom.I first noticed the real value of Disney Vacation Club membership this past June, when our server at Biergarten Restaurant in EPCOT mentioned that members received 40 percent off lunch.
That's a substantial discount, and it's far from the only one. Members regularly save 10 to 40 percent on dining, merchandise, annual passes and special events. During Welcome Home Weeks, several of our go-to table-service restaurants offered that same 40 percent discount, including Hollywood & Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom and Trattoria al Forno at Disney's BoardWalk.
Members also save 20 percent on standard merchandise at nearly every Disney-owned store inside the parks and resort hotels, and can purchase the Disney Sorcerer Pass, an annual pass tier exclusive to Disney Vacation Club members that saves non-Florida residents hundreds per pass compared with standard pass options. Additional savings extend to select nighttime events, holiday parties, water park admission and behind-the-scenes tours.
Score Invitations to Exclusive Disney After-Hours Events The Bailey family at Moonlight Magic, an evening event for Disney Vacation Club members at Disney's Hollywood Studios.I knew members had access to exclusive events, but I hadn’t realized how special they were until we attended one ourselves. Moonlight Magic at Disney's Hollywood Studios is a private complimentary nighttime celebration for members, featuring character interactions, short wait times, DJ dance parties, a special showing of Fantasmic! and complimentary snacks and ice cream.
At our event, we spotted Chewbacca and R2-D2 while wandering Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, spun through Alien Swirling Saucers in Toy Story Land and posed for photos with WALL-E, as well as Ian and Barley from Pixar's Onward. We snacked on Jack-Jack's Num Num Cookies, Mickey pretzels, churros and Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars. Especially during the sweltering summer months, there was something wonderfully refreshing about exploring a theme park at night without hats and sunscreen.
Moonlight Magic events typically take place eight to 10 times a year across different parks, and members can generally register for one event per season (winter, spring, summer or fall) so there are multiple options for members. On the bus to the event, we chatted with a family from Tampa who told us these private evenings are among their favorite parts of membership.
Other benefits include complimentary treats and dining experiences during Welcome Home Weeks, exclusive character experiences just for members (like the dance party we attended with Mickey, Minne, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Chip ‘n Dale at Atlantic Dance Hall) and popular paid extras like Disney Vacation Club Member Cruises.

Use Disney Vacation Club Points for Cruises, Adventures and More Disney Vacation Club members can redeem points for Adventures by Disney guided group trips, including river cruises. Pictured is an excursion canoeing through Strasbourg, the cultural center of France’s Alsace region.Part of what makes Disney Vacation Club's points system so flexible is the ability to bank points from the previous year and borrow from the following one. This is especially useful for anyone planning a bigger trip, a larger family gathering or a vacation that simply requires more points than usual.
And unlike a traditional timeshare, members aren't locked into one property. Points can go toward stays at any Disney Vacation Club resort—including those at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani: A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawaii, Vero Beach and Hilton Head—as well as select partner and Disney hotel properties around the world, including Disneyland Paris. Members can also redeem points for Disney Cruise Line sailings, guided group trips through Adventures by Disneyand National Geographic Expeditions, or for thousands of resorts and hotels through Disney Vacation Club's partnership with Interval International.
“The memories extend far beyond the theme parks,” Skowronek said. “We used our points for a stay at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, and my girls still rave about this trip. My oldest joined a conservationist to search for sea turtle nests, and it was truly a core memory for all of us. Our next adventure that we’re saving our points for is a trip to Disneyland and Aulani.”
Why Disney Vacation Club Can Save Frequent Disney Travelers Thousands View this post on InstagramDisney Vacation Club can save members money over time by locking in deluxe-tier accommodations at a fixed cost, shielding members from standard rate increases and providing built-in benefits like in-room kitchens that trim secondary trip expenses.
Those savings compound because the total lifetime cost of membership (plus annual dues) eventually undercuts the ever-rising cash rental rates for comparable one- and two-bedroom villas.
Disney Vacation Club member Leslie Brignac, a content creator known for her Disney adventures as @minnievanmom, said she and her husband joined Disney Vacation Club the day after their Walt Disney World wedding in 2014. They two met while working as cast members in college and knew they’d want to take at least one Disney vacation per year.
“My husband is very analytical, so he made a spreadsheet to figure out if this would make sense for us,” she said. “We quickly realized that as long as we paid for everything up front, we would break even in eight years. And I think we broke even at six years, just because the retail prices of Disney hotel rooms have gone up so much since then.”
Because every Disney Vacation Club property falls under the Deluxe Villa Resort category, membership also comes with automatic deluxe-tier benefits, like extended evening theme park hours. And members can further stretch their savings with the $99 annual Membership Magic Beyond package, which adds a Disney PhotoPass Memory Maker package, discounted theme park tickets, priority lounge access and character meet-and-greets at the member lounge at EPCOT.
Is Disney Vacation Club Worth It? Here's How to Decide For members who've purchased the optional Membership Magic Beyond package, Mickey and Minnie can be found each evening at the Disney Vacation Club ImaginAtrium - A Member Lounge at EPCOT.Whether a Disney Vacation Club membership makes sense for you depends on several factors: how often you currently visit Disney, which resort tier you prefer, how far in advance you like to plan and how many people typically travel with you. The financial commitment matters, too—membership involves upfront and annual costs, and contracts can run anywhere from 30 to 50 years.
“For our family, the numbers made sense,” Brignac said. “The benefit of Disney Vacation Club is that you get locked into today’s pricing, so 40 years from now when our daughter is using our contract, she’ll have inherited the price we paid when we bought in. And the flexibility is great; in the past 12 years, we’ve used our points to travel to almost every Disney Vacation Club resort in the country.”
To learn more, start with Disney Vacation Club's Discovery portal on its website, where you can explore options tailored to your travel style by entering details like trip length, typical party size and preferred home resort. From there, you can connect with a cast member to ask questions, personalize your options and determine whether membership is the right fit.
One thing's for sure: I already knew Disney Vacation Club was fantastic. And after the magic we experienced last week, I'm convinced that it’s a smart choice for multigenerational families looking to build a lifetime of memories together.

1986 Rock Hit About Blue-Collar Dreamers Is Still the Ultimate Wedding Reception Sing-Along
Some songs dominate the radio charts for a brief moment in time, while others become woven into the fabric of everyday life.
When Bon Jovi released their signature anthem "Livin' on a Prayer" in 1986, they created more than just a multi-platinum hit. They gave music lovers a universal story of perseverance, love, and hustle.
Decades after Tommy and Gina first captured the world's heart, their story is still a soundtrack for life's biggest milestone celebrations. To this day, it is one of the most popular wedding songs, according to Spotify, landing between Spice Girls' "Wannabe" and "Wobble" by Beast.
The Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, and Desmond Child-penned tune ranks at No. 16 out of the 100 most popular reception playlists. The rock classic continues to prove its staying power as a must-play track for generations of partygoers.

The song's enduring popularity is a testament to its universal message of sticking together through tough times. Whether embraced by a new generation of streaming fans or those who remember watching the video on MTV, the anthem bridges generations like few other rock tracks can.
But long before it became a wedding staple, the hit almost didn't see the light of day. Bon Jovi liked the tune, but perhaps not enough for it to land on the band's third LP, Slippery When Wet.
“It wasn’t that I didn’t want to record it. But I wasn’t all that impressed on the day that we wrote it,” the Grammy winner told PEOPLE Magazine.
He added that the first thing they created was the "simple chord progression, the melodies and the lyrics." The track's enduring bass line "came to life in the demo studio, when we took it back to the band and worked it up. That's how it became what it is."
Bon Jovi concluded, "We knew what we wanted, we just didn't have it, and so I was like, 'Yeah, it's good. Good day. Good day at the office,' and I was wrong. It's one of the biggest songs in our catalog."
"Livin' On a Prayer" reached the No. 1 position on Billboard's Top 100 on February 14, 1987, two months after its December 1986 release. It remained at the top spot for four weeks.
Additionally, the singer and songwriter told PBS NewsHour the song "evolved" from what was originally put to paper with Sambora and Child. "It was a very simple chord structure, the melody, the lyric, we knew all that," he began.
"But it came to life when the band got in the room. Tico came in playing the drums, and that's when it popped. That's when the key change happened," he continued.
"It was written with an acoustic guitar and a piano," Bon Jovi concluded. "It wasn't the first single on the album. 'You Give Love a Bad Name' was the first single. 'Prayer' was the second single and was so different."
"Livin' On a Prayer" hardly feels like a relic from 1986. Nearly 40 years later, it’s still the one track guaranteed to pull everyone from kids to grandparents onto the dance floor together.

1964 Hit Rock Song, Written by a 21-Year-Old About Growing Old, Took 40 Takes To Record
“When I Grow Up (To Be a Man)” was a popular Beach Boys song released in 1964. It was written by 21-year-old Brian Wilson and 22-year-old Mike Love. The song reached No. 9 in the US and No. 1 in Canada.
According to The American Songwriter, Wilson told Goldmine Magazine, ”I was inspired about what it was gonna be like to grow up. Will I like the things then as I did now? I wrote that in my early twenties. As I look back on that, I am happy with my life now, and I didn’t think I would be.”
In the memoir I Am Brian Wilson, he went into more detail about the song. He said, “I think about the crazy year of 1964, and I think about one of the most important songs from that crazy year, ‘When I Grow Up (to Be a Man).’ We did that song in early August, and it was out by the end of the month. That’s how fast everything went back then. The building was going up overnight. We did that song at Western, too, in room three, which was the best. We did almost 40 takes over six days. Can you believe that? 40 takes?”
He continued, “It’s exhausting to look at and to think of how far we went in search of the perfect thing. We didn’t know we were making history. But that’s what we were making.”

Love also wrote about the inspiration behind the song in Good Vibrations: My Life As A Beach Boy. He claimed it was inspired by Wilson's father, the band’s former manager. “Murry had bullied Brian for years," he said. "But he increasingly called into question his manhood. ‘If you were a man, you would tell Mike to stand closer to the microphone. If you were a man, you would tell [fellow Beach Boys] Carl and Dennis to brush up on their harmonies. If you were a man …’ Man came up all the time, which probably influenced Brian’s idea behind our 1964 song, ‘When I Grow Up (to Be a Man).’”
The Beach Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988. Some of their other big hits include “Good Vibrations,” “Surfin’ USA,” “I Get Around,” and “California Girls.”
