These Sweet and Tangy Costco Gems Have Shoppers Hooked

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 4:16pm

If you love kiwis but hate peeling them before you eat them, Costco has a solution for you!

And yes, I know the skin is healthy and filled with vitamins, but I just personally can't get over the texture.

Honestly, even if you do eat regular kiwis, skin and all, the latest Costco gem is still something worth exploring, considering how many are raving about the taste and convenience.

Costco shoppers are buzzing about the tiny fruit taking grocery aisles by storm, and it might just become your new favorite snack this spring.

We're talking about Costco's fresh produce find that's sweet, tangy, bite-sized and ready-to-eat, leaving shoppers officially hooked—Kiwiberries!

A closer look reveals the superfruit is produced by Munch'n from New Zealand, with the return only lasting a short while before they're out of season (much like the beloved Sumo citrus).

The fruit delivers on the big flavor of kiwis, but is small enough to just pop in your mouth, according to influencer Costco Guide, making them the perfect healthy snack when you're on the go.

Admittedly, they are a bit on the pricier side, as a 1-lb box retails for about $13.99, it's jam-packed with enough to feed the family or to be added to any Easter fruit and cheese platters. These could be your special occasion, once-in-a-while treat!

View this post on Instagram

The taste is right in the middle of sweet and sour, as one user likened them to if a "kiwi and a grape had a baby."

Are KiwiBerries Healthy?

Not only are they super tasty, but there are plenty of nutritional benefits. The National Library of Medicine called them a superfood, as the fruit contains essential minerals like potassium, calcium and zinc, and is high in antioxidants like vitamin C and phenolics.

How to Eat KiwiBerries?

Just pop 'em in your motuh!

"Pro tip: if you buy them and they’re hard, set them out on the kitchen for a few days until they get soft. When they’re hard, they’re sour and acidic but when they get soft, they become super sweet," one advised on Reddit.

They are not GMO. Despite their mini appearance, which makes many believe that they are, they are a naturally occurring variety of kiwi.

How Long Does the KiwiBerries Season Last?

The season for kiwiberries is a lot shorter than it is for kiwis, so they are often a limited find.

Many are imported around March and April, though they may have higher price points. While they may be available year-round, their peak is in the late summer, as Berries ripen in late July, with the harvest sometimes extending into late October.

However, if you're one of the lucky ones who stumble upon them right now at your local Costco, grab a pack for yourself and discover why these bite-sized fruits are winning over snack lovers everywhere!

Nancy Guthrie Update: Investigation Hits 2 Months & Former FBI Agent Weighs in on What Happens Next (Exclusive)

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 3:44pm

Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie‘s mom, Nancy Guthrie, is still missing two months after she was abducted from her Tucson, Ariz., home—and a former FBI agent just weighed in on what happens next.

On the two-month mark since Nancy, 84, went missing, retired FBI special agent Jason Pack spoke with Parade about the case.

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

Pack, who is not involved in the investigation, pointed out, "The absence of a named suspect does not mean the absence of progress."

"The most consequential investigative work almost never happens in front of a camera," he explained. "Right now, investigators are sitting on months of subpoena returns, lab results, financial records and digital forensics.'

Additionally, the retired FBI agent noted that Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed that investigators believe they know why Nancy was targeted. "That is not a throwaway statement," he said. "They have a direction."

"The DNA recovered from the property that does not match Nancy or anyone in her circle is still one of the biggest threads left to pull," Pack continued. "When CODIS does not return a hit, investigators turn to genetic genealogy. That science broke the Golden State Killer case. It has cracked cases far colder than this one."

Nancy was last seen at her Catalina Foothills residence on the evening of Jan. 31, with the Pima County Sheriff's Department (with the FBI joining) embarking on its search on Feb. 1. As of writing, the 84-year-old remains missing, and no suspect has been named—despite Savannah offering a $1 million reward for information that leads to finding Nancy.

In late March, Savannah gave her first interview since the disappearance of her mother. She also announced that she would return to Today on April 6.

“When times are hard, you want to be with your family. And I want to be with my family," the NBC morning show co-host said of her colleagues. "And so I don’t know if I can do it. I don’t know if I’ll belong anymore, but I would like to try. I would like to try.”

Savannah concluded, “I’m not going to be the same. But maybe it’s like that old poem: ‘More beautiful in the broken places.’”

Godiva Launches 2 New ‘Irresistible’ Chocolate Bars—But Only for a Limited Time

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 3:44pm

Godiva is giving fans of a viral flavor combination two new limited-edition chocolate bars, and if past releases tell us anything, this drop is going to go fast.

Last summer, at the height of the Dubai Chocolate trend, the cult-favorite chocolatier debuted its own version of the beloved treat in several overseas markets to great applause. While Tesco shoppers in the United Kingdom, along with fans in Australia and Malaysia bit into the Belgian company's take on the viral dessert, the treat wasn't made so widely available in the United States—until now.

As the popularity of the treat continues to surger—with Baskin-Robbins and Cold Stone Creamery also launching versions of the sweet this week—Godiva revealed on Wednesday that it would be launching not one but two new chocolate bars inspired by the "global sensation" at major retailers nationwide for a limited time.

Godiva Unveils New Dubai Chocolate-Inspired Bars

Despite the announcement coming on April 1, it's by not means an April Fools' Day joke. A spokesperson for the brand promises Godiva's new Dark Chocolate Pistachio & Kadayif and Milk Chocolate Pistachio & Kunafah bars are real and both feature its signature chocolate with crunchy pistachios and crispy kadayif pieces for an "irresistible, deeply satisfying bite."

The new Dark Chocolate Pistachio & Kadayif bar was inspired by the "rich and vibrant" flavors of the Middle East, according to an official description, which suggests it brings together rich and bold dark chocolate with the indulgent taste of pistachio and the delicate crunch of crispy, golden kadayif.

Godvia's new Milk Chocolate Pistachio & Kunafah Bar is said to be "decadent, distinctive, and delicious." It combines smooth, velvety milk chocolate with the indulgent taste of pistachio and crunchy, crispy, golden kadayif.

Each bar measures 4.3 ounces and they are both made in Turkey. Should Godiva be using the same recipe as when it launched its Dubai Chocolate internationally, fans are in luck—reviewers have said it's "pretty good."

Godiva said both of its Dubai Chocolate-inspired bars will be available to purchase in stores nationwide as well as and online. Those who prefer to pick up a sweet treat in person can find the new premium offerings at major retailers like CVS and Kohl's (prices may vary). Both varieities can also be purchased and will be online via the official Godiva website ($12.99 each) or Amazon (also $12.99 per bar).

Whoopi Goldberg and Brandy Have Emotional 'Cinderella' Reunion

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 3:38pm

On April 1, Brandy appeared on The View to talk about her new memoir, Phases, but it quickly turned into a trip down memory lane for the pop star and Whoopi Goldberg, who starred in 1997's Cinderella. The Disney television adaptation aired on ABC, with Brandy starring as the girl with the glass slippers, and Goldberg playing Queen Constantina.

"I just remember being so excited and so blown away by all of these amazing legends and greats," Brandy told the panel. Along with Goldberg, the film featured an impressive cast, including Victor Garber, Paolo Montalban, Jason Alexander, Bernadette Peters, and the late Whitney Houston as the Fairy Godmother.

The talk show rolled an Extra clip of Brandy and Houston, with the late star telling Brandy, "I'm so proud of you." Upon watching it, Goldberg and Brandy became emotional.

"We were blown away by you," The View co-host admitted to Brandy. "I'd seen you meet Whitney that first time [in the clip], I wasn't prepared for that, that threw me, then I started thinking about us on the set and the pumpkin, we had a great time."

"I was so happy to connect with you," Brandy told the Ghost star about making the film with her. "You were so kind to me and encouraging. They don't make them like you anymore, Ms. Whoopi Goldberg."

In 2022, the remaining cast reunited for the film's 25th anniversary. They shared behind-the-scenes memories and stories from making the film.

With Cinderella, Brandy became the first Black actress to play the princess in a major film. Critics and viewers were divided, with The New York Times calling it "a cobbled-together Cinderella for the moment, not the ages." However, Brandy and Montalban, who played Prince Charming, put that notion to rest when Disney brought them back for 2024's Descendants: The Rise of Red.

“We’re so honored, so blessed, so excited,” Norwood told The Hollywood Reporterat the time. “This is such a magical experience to be able to work with Paolo again, to waltz with him, to sing with him — all of it.”

Now christened King Charming and Queen Cinderella, the duo can be seen in the next installment, as well. Descendants: Wicked Wonderland will be released on Disney+ in 2026.

Whoopi Goldberg Shares Support for Tiger Woods Following DUI: 'I Don't Like Kicking a Man When He's Down'

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 3:32pm

Whoopi Goldberg is showing support for her friend Tiger Woodsfollowing his recent DUI arrest in Florida.

On a Wednesday, April 1 episode of The View, Goldberg offered words of support to the professional golfer. She remarked that others are "not as compassionate" to Woods following his arrest.

“Tiger is a friend of mine, and I wish him nothing but the best," she said. "I don’t like kicking a man when he’s down. I’ll leave that to other folks."

Woods was arrested on Friday, March 27 after a rollover crash and charged with a DUI. Martin County Sheriff's Office deputies found two hydrocodone pills in Woods' pants pocket.

Goldberg's co-hosts, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, and guest host Whitney Cummings, also weighed in on Woods' arrest in the episode.

"I’m not excusing the fact that he was driving while under the influence, but I think we need to show someone who is a sports legend, who may have been pushed very hard as a child, and have some grace for the pain he’s living with and the fact that, as an athlete," said Hostin. "He is now having to struggle with the fact that he may have to give up the one thing he loves to do."

Behar then asked why Woods had not just hired a driver to which Goldberg responded, "Well, why is he always being driven around?’ You can’t win."

On Tuesday, March 31 Woods announced on X that he will be stepping away from gold professionally to focus on his health.

"I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health," Woods wrote. "This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery."

He added,  "I'm committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time."

Nancy Guthrie Update: Suspect Could Be a 'Frequent Flyer,' Former Prosecutor Says

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 3:22pm

As the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance continues, a former Orange County prosecutor is offering insight into who may be responsible. Matt Murphy sat down for an interview on the "Prof Jo Explains" YouTube channel and said that he wouldn’t be surprised if the suspect is someone already known to authorities.

"I will bet my bottom dollar that this guy, whoever he is, turns out to be a known dude in the jail of Pima County, and I would not be at all surprised—and this is based just on my own jaded lens—if this guy hasn't been a frequent flyer and released on some ridiculous social justice program. I would not be at all surprised to see it," Murphy said.

Guthrie, 84, has been missing since Sunday, Feb. 1. Authorities have released footage from Guthrie's front stoop, showing an armed individual wearing a mask and carrying a backpack on the night of Guthrie's disappearance. However, it's been several weeks since that footage was released and no one has been apprehended in the case. Moreover, investigators have yet to name a suspect or suspects.

In his interview with Jo Potuto, Murphy criticized Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos and Pima County Attorney Laura Conover, calling the investigation a "clown show."

"The Guthrie family deserves a lot better," Murphy said.

1982 Country Hit Ranked 'Best George Strait Anthem' Was Inspired By a TV Commercial

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 3:20pm

For many of the most loyal country fans, singer, real-life cowboy, and rodeo guy George Strait, 73, is considered THE GOAT and the true "King of Country Music." It might surprise you to know, though, that his hit song "Amarillo By Morning" was originally inspired by something as simple as a FedEx television commercial.

Strait's beloved song catalog inspired a recent list of 20 country anthems, and every one of them is an anthem by George Strait himself. His hit song "Amarillo By Morning" ranks as the No. 1 George Strait anthem, according to the list on uDiscoverMusic. As justification for the top ranking, they write, "he’s the most velvety-sounding cowboy you’ve ever heard, even if occasional vibrato makes him sound like he’s holding back tears. It’s all dusty roads and wide-open spaces, as iconic a country song as exists thanks in large part to its perfect simplicity."

Related: Tim McGraw Is Inducted to Country Music Hall Of Fame and Faith Hill Reacts With So Much Love

When Strait croons this solemn song, telling the story of a dedicated rodeo cowboy and life on the road—despite money problems, broken bones, and trouble in love—it really gets to the heart, rousing up all that good American pride, resilience, and independence.

That said, it is a little surprising to hear that a marketing slogan from FedEx gave that song its wings.

Songwriters Terry Stafford and Paul Fraser penned the song "Amarillo By Morning," which was originally released by Stafford in 1973. As reported via Country Now, the inspiration for the song came after one of Stafford's long drives from San Antonio, Texas, to his home in Amarillo, Texas—and, well, an ad on TV.

In the book The Stories Behind Country Music’s All-Time Greatest 100 Songs by Ace Collins, Fraser recalls, “One night Terry called me at home. He had been watching television and a commercial for a delivery service had just run… It got him thinking. This commercial guaranteed they could get your package to places like Amarillo by the next morning [and] he wanted to write a song around that concept.”

And the rest is history ...

Who Won 'Jeopardy' Today? (April 1, 2026) Plus, the Final Jeopardy Answer

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 3:00pm

There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people's trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.

Here's a spoiler-filled recap of who won Jeopardy! today, plus the answer to Final Jeopardy.

🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬

Who won Jeopardy today?Jamie Ding

Jamie Ding continues to prove he's unstoppable! This is not an April Fools' Day joke; the law student has claimed his 14th consecutive victory with a total of $371,600.

Who are the Jeopardy contestants today?Jessica Frankenfield

Jessica Frankenfield is an event planner from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

George Thomas

George Thomas is a former engineer from Mount Prospect, Illinois.

Jamie Ding

Jamie Ding is a bureaucrat and law student from Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Ding entered the game as a 13-day champion with $360,000 in total winnings. He found all three Daily Doubles, adding $21,000 combined. He also posted a $39,200 Coryat score, tying him with former champ and host Ken Jennings for the second-highest single-game Coryat of all time. Ding was first on the buzzer on nearly 65% of clues (37 out of 57), with 43 correct answers with zero incorrect responses in the regular round.

His victory also puts him ahead of Harrison Whitaker to claim the top seed in the upcoming 34th Tournament of Champions. Despite his Final Jeopardy stumble, he easily won more than $13,999 today to accomplish the feat.

What was Final Jeopardy today?

Final Jeopardy today was in the category "The Calendar."

The clue: "Mark Twain wrote the quip that on this day of the year, "we are reminded of what we are on the other 364.'"

The answer: What is April Fools' Day?

It was an appropriate April 1st clue, but the joke was on Ding, who nearly fooled himself out of his own streak with an enormous incorrect wager in what should've been a slam-dunk Final Jeopardy. Ding, who was sitting on a massive $55,800 lead, made the bold decision to wager a record-breaking $44,200, but responded, "What is Labor Day???" The incorrect response cost him a record amount in Final Jeopardy history, but his lead was so high from regular game performance that he still walked away winning his 14th consecutive game with $11,600.

Thomas did not participate in Final Jeopardy per standard rules with -$1,800, while Frankenfield wagered $800 of her $5,200 and correctly responded, "What is April Fools Day?", finishing with $6,000.

Ding will be back tomorrow for a chance at his 15th consecutive victory.

Mick Fleetwood, 78, Puckers up in Honeymoon Pics With Mysterious Blonde: ‘My Love Elizabeth'

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 2:55pm

Fleetwood Mac legend Mick Fleetwood is sharing some exciting marriage news, but he's keeping a bit of information under wraps.

Fleetwood, 78, known as the drummer and co-founder of the legendary band, has been a staple of the music scene since the '60s. With the band's iconic 1977 album Rumours, they chronicled romance and heartbreak and everything in between. Fleetwood himself has seen plenty of that over the years, with four divorces under his belt. However, the ponytailed maestro is celebrating his new nuptials with a new Instagram post.

"The south Pacific does its magic !!! A honeymoon with my love Elizabeth…creating moments to be remembered !! Sun health and happiness!!" Fleetwood captioned his photo carousel, covering all photos featuring Elizabeth's face and head. The couple can be seen puckering up in front of the water with the stunning landscape of the South Pacific behind them.

Hanging With His Rock Star Friends

If you follow Fleetwood on social media, you'll likely spot him hanging out with a variety of fellow rock stars, like Alice Cooper and Van Halen alum Sammy Hagar. The group frequently parties together on Maui, like a bunch of rock stars can.

View this post on Instagram Will There Be a Fleetwood Mac Reunion?

No. Don't get your hopes up for a Fleetwood Mac reunion, because without Christine McVie, who died in 2022, it's not going to happen.

“Without Christine, no can do,” Stevie Nicks told MOJO in 2024. “There is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn’t work.”

While the band has reunited without McVie in the past, Nicks made it clear it just wouldn't be the same.

“Even if I thought I could work with Lindsey again, he’s had some health problems,” Nicks continued. “It’s not for me to say, but I’m not sure if Lindsey could do the kind of touring that Fleetwood Mac does, where you go out for a year and a half. It’s so demanding.”

This 1988 Classic Rock Hit Started Off as 'a Joke'—Then It Became the Band's Only No. 1 in America

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 2:38pm

An iconic '80s track from the Los Angeles-based rock group Guns N' Roses almost never came to be, as members of the band have described its inspiration as nothing more than
"a joke."

While “Sweet Child O’ Mine” went on to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in Sept. 1988, guitarist Slash, who ideated the immediately recognizable opening riff, initially considered the legendary fret run to be the simple result of messing around on his guitar. In fact, he was so unserious about the melody that he likened it to both a “circus melody” and “guitar exercise,” according to uDiscoverMusic.

Slash Thought of His Legendary Composition as 'a Joke' in the Beginning

“Initially it was just a cool, neat riff that I’d come up with,” Slash told Total Guitar in 2012, per Universal Music Group's editorial platform. “It was an interesting pattern, and it was really melodic, but I don’t think I would have presented it to the band and said, ‘Hey, I’ve got this idea!’ because I just happened to come up with it while we were all hanging around together.”

But the rest of his bandmates latched onto the riff, and he told Guitar Edge a few years prior that they began playing chords to accompany him as he shredded his own part. "And next thing you know, it was turning into something. I really just thought of it as a joke, but lo and behold, Axl [Rose]...heard it”—and, apparently, loved it.

That 'Circus Melody' Became the Band's Top Single

“Sweet Child O’ Mine” became the band's sole No. 1 in the United States, and went on to feature in several iconic franchises, including Thor, Despicable Me, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and, of course, the unforgettable car karaoke scene from Step Brothers.

Slash's riff was even ranked as one of the 100 greatest guitar solos of all time in Guitar World's 2013 compilation, and all from a song he found "really hard...to accept."

"I would’ve written that song off as history if anyone else complained about it," he admitted. "I had no idea it would become the biggest song the band ever did.”

The Real Reason Why 'Chicago Fire' and 'P.D.' Are Delayed Tonight

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 2:34pm

For over a decade, the "One Chicago" shows have occupied Wednesday nights on NBC. Between Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med, Dick Wolf's ever-growing franchise has captured procedural fans' hearts all around the world. But the doctors, firefighers, and police officers of Chicago will encounter a bit of a shift this week, as two shows will be delayed in their airings in some time zones.

Here's the reason why Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. will be delayed tonight, and when fans should expect episodes to come on.

Are the "One Chicago" shows on tonight?

Yes! Though it should be noted that both Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. will be airing a smidge later in the Eastern and Central time zones this week.

When does Chicago Fire come on tonight?

Chicago Fire will air following the conclusion of President Trump's presidential speech. While the event is live, the episode is expected to commence at approximately 9:20 p.m. ET/8:20 p.m. CT.

When does Chicago P.D. come on tonight?

With Chicago Fire's airing delayed, that will also impact the airing of Chicago P.D. Right now, P.D. is scheduled to air at 10:20 p.m. ET/9:20 p.m. CT. No word as to how that will affect the airing of local news in the Eastern time zone.

Why are Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. delayed tonight?

Both Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. are delayed due to a special address from President Donald Trump. On March 31, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that he would be doing an "address to the nation" the next evening. The speech is set to run at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, smack dab in the middle of primetime programming.

Is Chicago Med delayed tonight?

No. As Chicago Med comes on before President Trump's speech, it will air as intended at 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT.

Will the West Coast "One Chicago" episodes be delayed tonight?

Luckily for those of you in the Pacific time zone, you won't need to worry about any of the "One Chicago" shows getting interrupted or delayed. As the president's speech will take place at 6:00 p.m. PT, it should be done well before the primetime lineup kicks off.

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 2:16pm

Setting money aside for retirement is a huge step towards setting yourself up for success once you leave the workforce. In fact, it's such a big deal that many experts say that it's never too early to start, and every little bit helps.

Now, new research is showing that many Americans are making a major shift when it comes to their retirement savings, and the pros seem to agree that this is a bad sign—not just for retirees, but for the economy as a whole—and they are advising people to stop making this potentially costly mistake. Keep reading to find out if you're guilty of the retirement misstep that 1 in 4 Americans is now said to be making.

New Report Says People are Pulling Back on Retirement Savings

There's new research from the payroll firm Dayforce suggesting that Americans are reducing the amount they put into their retirement savings. According to a report published on March 30, 2026, Americans' average retirement savings rate dropped to 8.9 percent in 2025.

The 2025 drop is said to be the first decline the firm has noted in the past three years, and the changes appeared to be most significant in those employees who earn between $50,000 and $150,000 a year.

And it's not just the amount of money people have been having withheld from their paychecks and placed into retirement accounts that has decreased, either. The report also suggests that participation rates are down, with fewer people opting to set up a retirement account in the first place.

There was one place where numbers increased, though. According to Dayforce, the number of people taking loans out of their retirement accounts is on the rise. Dayforce's Jason Rahlan spoke with CBS News about the findings, noting that 20 percent of full-time workers took money out of their 401(k) s on loan.

"This should be a warning sign," Rahlan told the publication. "It may be a sign of financial strain."

Should You Stop Contributing to Your Retirement Savings

If you are one of the many folks who have had to pull back due to increased financial strain, you may be wondering whether you're making the right choice. While retirement is never a one-size-fits-all endeavor, it is important to remember that paying your bills and avoiding new debt are huge parts of planning for your future.

If you need to temporarily reduce your retirement contributions to do that, there is nothing inherently wrong with your decision. That said, short-term financial decisions can have a significant impact on your long-term plans, especially if you are close to retirement age. If you are considering this and have concerns, your best bet is to talk to a financial planner or retirement expert to see if this option is the best fit for your personal situation before you make any decisions.

Kyle Cooke ‘Worried’ for Amanda Batula Amid Backlash — Now ‘Second-Guessing’ Last Summer

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 2:09pm

Amid the Summer House fallout surrounding West Wilson and Amanda Batula’s relationship, Batula’s estranged husband, Kyle Cooke, says he’s increasingly concerned about the backlash she’s facing.

Cooke and Batula, who announced their separation in January, have remained seemingly supportive of one another. News of Batula’s involvement with Wilson didn’t change that — but the public reaction has.

"I appreciate people checking in, I'm actually really worried about Amanda, if I'm being honest," Cooke told journalist Adam Glyn. "I talked to her before they put the statement out. She gave me a heads up. And I talked to her last night. I understand people have all sorts of opinions, and I'm not justifying any behavior, but from what I'm seeing, she's kinda getting cyberbullied."

He continued, "At the end of the day, West seems to be the kind of guy playing multiple women at the same time." Cooke said that, meanwhile, Batula is being scorched, while Wilson doesn’t appear to be receiving the same level of backlash.

View this post on Instagram

"I just feel bad," he said, adding that she’s well aware of what she did wrong and was "trying to come to terms with it." He added, "She is not well."

Cooke said he began to piece together Batula and Wilson’s relationship over the weekend, as the evidence mounted — though "obviously I was trying to give everybody the benefit of the doubt." While he admits he’s still unclear on the timeline, it has him "second-guess a few things last summer."

"It's a mental mind f--- for me because there's still so much we're watching from the summer," he added. Reflecting on the past, he questioned whether something may have started earlier. "Looking back, a lot of us are looking at his body language, how touchy and handsy he was with her, and I just kinda gave him a hall pass last summer. Candidly, his Watch What Happens and his confessionals in last week's episode, I could not believe that he went there."

Ultimately, Cooke says he’s "frustrated," especially with The Cityset to premiere. While he admits he’s disappointed in Batula, he emphasized concern for her well-being: "hearing her and hearing how unwell she is ... dark thoughts, I just ask people to let off the gas a little bit on the cyberbullying."

'Survivor' Winner Richard Hatch Owes $3.2 Million Over Unpaid Taxes on Prize Money

Wed, 04/01/2026 - 2:05pm

Survivor winner Richard Hatch is embroiled in a legal battle over his prize money 26 years after his win.

Hatch, who won the first season of the reality show in 2000, is involved in a lawsuit with the federal government over back taxes on his seven-figure prize.

According to court documents obtained by People, a judge ruled on Mar. 17 that Hatch owes $3,293,471.56, plus "statutory additions from and after May 13, 2024, including interest” that will continue to accrue until the full amount is paid.

With penalties, the amount Hatch owes is more than three times the amount of his winnings total of $1,010,000.

The documents state that this comes from federal income tax liabilities from 2000, 2001, and 2012. The judge declared that the verdict be set as final, allowing “the United States to start to use the Federal Debt Collection Procedure.”

Two days after the judgement was made, Hatch filed an official notice of appeal, notifying the court that he will be challenging the decision in the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He will be representing himself in the case.

“This appeal will be the first objective review of the facts. I am confident that the appellate court's review of the full record—including evidence that was not adequately addressed below—will result in a just outcome," Hatch said to People.

“I have spent 25 years trying to do the right thing in a complicated situation, and I remain committed to resolving this matter fairly,” he continued. “I have nothing further to say while the appeal is pending.”

This case, which was first filed in 2022, is not the first time Hatch has found himself in legal trouble. In 2006, a jury found him guilty of two counts of tax evasion after failing to report approximately $1.4 million in income—the majority of it connected to Survivor— during the 2000 and 2001 tax years.

He was sentenced to 51 months of incarceration followed by three years of supervised release, and was required to file amended income tax returns for 2000 and 2001 and pay the amounts in full. Hatch did not comply and served an additional nine months in prison in 2011.

The 2022 complaint also alleged that Hatch deeded two properties he owned to his sisterKristin in 2003 and 2005, in an effort to evade federal tax liens he was facing.

"Upon information and belief, following the transfer of the Real Properties from Richard H. Hatch, Jr., to Kristin M. Hatch, Richard H. Hatch, Jr., lived in one or both of the Real Properties for unknown periods of time," the government said in court documents.

"Richard H. Hatch, Jr., transferred record title of the Real Properties to Kristin M. Hatch with the actual intent to hinder, delay, or defraud the creditors of Richard H. Hatch, Jr., including the United States, and thus was fraudulent," the government continued.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) later mailed Hatch a Notice of Deficiency for the unassessed tax liabilities in 2010.

“Despite proper notice and demand, Richard H. Hatch, Jr., failed, neglected, or refused to fully pay the liabilities,” the complaint stated.

Hatch contested the proposed deficiencies and penalties, and also “submitted multiple offers in compromise,” which were denied.

In 2012, the complaint stated that Hatch was “barred and estopped from further contesting these liabilities” after a resolution was reached.
