In 2014, Outlander premiered on Starz. That was long before the industry started using intimacy coordinators to choreograph the scene and advocate for actors.

Many fans hoped for more intimate scenes between Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Randall (Caitríona Balfe) after the first season. But Balfe explained why that expectation without an intimacy coordinator was hard in a new interview.

Outlander is currently airing its final season. Balfe reflected on the early seasons with Bustle.

"We were very nervous about the amount of sex scenes and I had never done anything like that…and so it was very new territory for all of us, but Ron [D. Moore] was like, ‘I really want these to be part of the storytelling,’" she said.

A sex scene furthers the plot when it's the first time between two characters. That can be the case with an established couple, but it's harder. The star said it was expected from the studio and fans. "It's not my first thing that I want to do is take my clothes off," she said.

Balfe sometimes comes across those intimate scenes and has complicated feelings about it. "I wish we'd had them," she said about intimacy coordinators. "I think we learned along the way some of the pitfalls…were all such good friends and were able to look out for each other…then later on you're just watching screenshots and memes and you're like, ‘Oh my God, my poor parents.’ And you learn the hard way, maybe, how to protect yourself a bit more."

Balfe is preparing for life after historical fantasy, which will have a different set of expectations. She will play Mrs. Dashwood in Sense and Sensibility. She'll also be in a movie about the first mountain climbers to reach the summit of Mt. Everest called Tenzing.

This year, the iconic Beach Boys album Pet Sounds (1966) will be turning 60 years old, and the rock band has some major plans to celebrate the momentous milestone.

"The Beach Boys 5K & Wellness Day" was announced in January as a festival on May 16 that will consist of live music, a community run and pet-themed activities along Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade. On Tuesday, the band also announced the Surfrider Foundation as the event's charity partner. The organization advocates for the protection and preservation of the world's oceans and beaches through campaigning, fundraising and organizing beach cleanups.

"The Beach Boys 5K & Wellness Day is proud to partner with the Surfrider Foundation, and bring our shared commitment of protecting & restoring our ocean to the sun-soaked streets of Santa Monica," the band wrote on social media.

Those who have registered for "The Beach Boys 5K & Wellness Day" can donate to the Surfrider Foundation and enter a prize drawing in which three lucky winners will receive a YETI Roadie 15 Hard Cooler and a Surfrider x Sand Cloud Beach Blanket. The winners will be announced on the day of the event at 11 a.m., after the 5K run has been completed.

Pet Sounds is The Beach Boys' 11th studio album and remains to be one of the band's most ambitious works to date. The concept rock album was produced after the band had begun to distance itself from the surf and beach sounds it had become well-known for and was composed by frontman Brian Wilson and guest writer Tony Asher.

The album saw the creation of a couple of The Beach Boys' breakout hit singles, including "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and "God Only Knows." While Pet Sounds may not have enjoyed immediate commercial success in the U.S., its influence quickly spread among musicians. Most famously, it directly inspired The Beatles, particularly Paul McCartney, in the creation of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967). Sixty years later, the album still holds up as a career-defining project for The Beach Boys.

Airport, the seminal crisis flick widely regarded as the catalyst that launched the disaster film craze, was tops at the box office on this day in 1970. 

The film, which was released on March 19, reached the pinnacle position in its third week of release, returning to the top spot four more times by mid-July.

Directed by the Oscar-winning George Seaton, the action thriller was adapted for the screen by Seaton himself from the bestselling novel by Arthur Hailey. Also known for assembling the largest cast ever for a feature at the time, it stars Burt Lancaster, Dean Martin, Jacqueline Bisset, George Kennedy, and first lady of the American stage Helen Hayes. 

As for the plot, the narrative is composed of seven different storylines ranging from personal to professional, but all pivoting around news that there’s a bomber threatening to blow up an airliner heading from Chicago to Rome. 

According to CNET, the film draws from real-life events, with Hailey borrowing details from a plane crash in 1962, when authorities investigating a Continental Airlines 707 crash in Missouri determined a passenger had purposefully set off a bomb after purchasing a large life insurance policy.

A master of avaition catastrophes, Hailey also wrote the screenplay for the 1957 thriller Zero Hour!, which sees its passengers fall ill with food poisoning and the pilot looking for an off ramp in a fit of fog. Both of Hailey’s contributions to the disaster thriller subgenre were spoofed in the ’80s by Leslie Nielsen inAirplane!

Offering a blueprint for future disaster thrillers including The Poseidon Adventure, The Towering Inferno, and Die Hard, Airport established a winning formula its successors: One star-studded ensemble cast + several interconnected plot lines + one high-stakes emergency = box office smash. 

Airport, produced for around $10 million, went on to make $128 million worldwide and became the highest-grossing picture that year, according to Variety. The film was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won one, for supporting actress, which went to Hayes.

Cracker Barrel is once again selling Lammes Candies Sherbet Mints for the 2026 Easter season. These thin, pastel wafers come in soft shades of pink, yellow and green. They're light, creamy and known for their melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Lammes Candies Sherbet Mints have been made in Austin, Texas, since 1885. The family-owned candy company has been around for five generations. While Lammes is also famous for pralines, these mints became a Southern Easter staple over the years. Many families remember seeing them in candy dishes at church, at Grandma's house or on the holiday table next to the ham.

While most people say it's never worth messing with perfection, numerous well-known dessert brands are coming out with new and exciting spins on classic sweet treats on an almost daily basis.

"The FABI Favorites offer an extra spotlight to the most outstanding products that truly exemplify the future of food and beverage."

Andrew Zimmern’s original go-to brisket recipe dates back to his grandmother. The classic braised brisket with fennel and onions recipe has been a staple in the celeb chef’s holiday celebrations for generations. As happens with many family recipes, Zimmern has added his tweaks over the years and makes the recipe “slightly different these days,” though much of the technique stays the same.

“[Brisket is] extremely difficult to cook. But if you follow a couple of easy principles, it's not that hard,” Zimmern tells Parade. Over the years, Zimmern has made many a brisket, including for holidays, parties, TV shows and more. And that's not where his love of brisket ends. He even created "Brisket Week," where he shared what to do with all the tender, juicy leftovers. With all of this knowledge, we knew Zimmern was the perfect person to show us how to make the best brisket.

How to Shop for Brisket

When you go to the store, you might have a few brisket options: the point (sometimes called the crown), the flat and whole brisket. The point is the thicker, fattier portion and the flat is well, flatter and more even, typically about three or four inches thick versus the seven- or eight-inch point. 

Although the flat and the point cook at different speeds, Zimmern still likes to cook a whole brisket. If all you can find is a flat, that will work, too, but Zimmern prefers a whole brisket because it adds a little extra insurance because of the fattier point. The flat is "very lean, and you end up with very little leeway on nailing it just right,” Zimmern says.

What Size Brisket Do I Need?

When you’re at the grocery store, try to avoid giant briskets (like 15 pounds) because they are difficult to cook evenly. If you have a big crowd to feed, Zimmern recommends opting for two smaller briskets—but this guide will focus on a single 6- to 9-pound untrimmed brisket.

How to Cook Brisket

Now that you know exactly how to choose the right brisket, it’s time to get cooking. Here are Zimmern's top tips. 

1. Let It Come to Room Temperature

Like most meats, it’s best to temper it first (meaning, take the meat out of the fridge and let it come to room temperature). According to Zimmern, this process will take about 90 minutes. This step will help make sure that the meat cooks evenly. “If you put a cold brisket in the oven and seal it and then start the braising process, it's like putting an ice cube wrapped in a blanket in the oven. It's just going to take longer to get tender,“ Zimmern says. While you're waiting for the meat to temper, preheat your oven to 275° or 300°. Zimmern prefers the former for a low and slow cook, but if you need to speed things up a bit, 300° works too.

2. Don’t Trim Off the Fat

One of Zimmern’s biggest chef takeaways is not to trim the fat off ahead of time. The fat is full of flavor, which has “too much value” to slice off before cooking. Once tempered, take your brisket out and feel the top of it for “big chunks of extraneous fat,” then slice those chunks off with a small sharp knife. Zimmern advises leaving the rest of the fat on the meat because it will melt into the brisket as it cooks. If there's any fat left after cooking, Zimmern also has a plan. “When I'm slicing my brisket to serve hours later, that's when I can trim that fat off. It's already done its job,” he says. 

3. Always, Always, Always Pre-Season

Zimmern changes up his brisket methods about every ten years, but right now he's in his herbes de Provence era. There's a range of ingredients included in this French spice blend, but it often includes dried rosemary, tarragon, marjoram and thyme. If you don't have herbes de Provence, Zimmern suggests using a mix of dried thyme and rosemary. And no matter what spice blend you use, be sure to season the brisket generously with kosher salt and freshly ground pepper.

4. Sear and Deglaze

After seasoning, Zimmern gives the brisket a good sear. He heats some high-temperature oil (like grapeseed) in a roasting pan set across two burners. When the oil shimmers, he adds the brisket and cooks it until it's browned, then flips it and sears the second side. After the meat is seared, Zimmern moves the brisket to a platter. While the brisket rests, he sautées vegetables (whichever type you prefer, depending on which recipe you’re following) in the roasting pan with tomato paste and a bouquet garni (a bundle of herbs tied with kitchen twine). Carrots, brussels sprouts, onions and fennel are all great veggies to consider cooking alongside your brisket.

Next up? A bottle of red wine for deglazing the pan. The wine will pick up all the browned bits in the roasting pan from the brisket and the veggies, which will add flavor to the dish. Zimmern likes to use red wine because it adds richness to the brisket and also helps tenderize the meat. “When [the wine] starts simmering, I push my vegetables to the side, and I put my brisket in, and then I cover the pan with foil, and I put it in a 275° oven,” he says.  

5. Let It Rest

Once the brisket is finished cooking, it's time for a rest. Zimmern’s rule of thumb is to let the brisket rest for one hour, minimum. If you have a little more time or are taking the brisket to a dinner party, you can cook it the day before, a method Zimmern likes a lot because the meat cools in the liquid and rests in the fridge, which allows all the flavors to meld and mingle.

How Long Should You Cook Brisket?

Zimmern often avoids this question because the answer really depends on your brisket. Some briskets are short and stout, taking seven to eight hours, while others are long and thin, and cook in five to six hours. To make sure you get it right, Zimmern recommends letting your brisket cook for five hours, and then checking it each hour after that for tenderness. He starts to really pay attention when an internal thermometer reads 165° when inserted into the thickest part of the brisket. For a braised brisket (vs a smoked brisket) you're looking for a final temperature of 180°. 

Having trouble figuring out exactly how to get the temperature of the meat? Zimmern can help. “The best thing to do is to pick a spot about two inches up from the end of the flat. Go about two, three inches in,” he says. Then, grab a cooking fork (the kind with the two long tines) or a pair of sturdy tongs and turn the brisket four times. If you’re able to turn it and the meat is tender, then your brisket is ready to be taken out of the oven. 

A 9- to 10-pound brisket will usually take 6 hours at 300°. And just because the brisket is braising in wine, know that it's still possible to overcook it. “After a while, the absorption of liquid has tapped out. The fat is gone from the meat itself, and then every minute afterward that you're cooking it, it's getting drier and drier, even though it's sitting in liquid,” he says.

The Best Way to Serve Brisket

To slice your finished brisket, separate the two main parts. The flat and point have protein strands at different angles and you want to cut the meat across the grain for the most tender slices.

Sprinkle the brisket with salt and pepper once again (but don’t overdo it or it will suck out the moisture). You can even place pepper grinders on the table so guests can season to taste. To plate, arrange the sliced brisket on a platter, and place the vegetables around the meat. You can make a simple pan gravy with the liquid in the roasting pan and pour that on top of the brisket.

If you’re using the overnight method, Zimmern says, “One of the benefits of refrigerating it was that I could take away all the fat. All the fat rose to the top, I was able to take it off with a spoon in my hands.” To serve the next day, he takes the cold brisket out of the liquid, wraps it well, puts it in the oven and reduces the liquid to make a tasty sauce. Throw in a few tablespoons of red wine vinegar (note: a very small amount) to add a little tartness to the sauce to offset the sweeter vegetables. You then reheat the brisket at 225° for 90 minutes.

Mercifully the answer to that question is a resounding yes. High Potential is indeed new on Tuesday, March 31, and it's looking pretty intense, if we're being honest.

As if last week's explosive episode that landed Karadec (Daniel Sunjata) in the hospital wasn't aggressive enough, this week depicts something even more sinister. Our favorite detective squad launches an investigation to find the culprits behind a series of heists involving private vaults or, as Morgan (Kaitlin Olson) puts it, "Storage closets for rich hoarders."

As it turns out, this is looking like way more than a string of high-profile robberies but, rather, could be leading to a cyber attack on the entire city. As Morgan explains in the trailer for the episode, titled "Second Sunday," "The power grid could be shut down, the water could be poisoned, or air traffic could be scrambled."

Needless to say, all of those options sound positively terrifying. And from the snippet above we can see that there's more explosions and a bunch of guys in pretty sinister-looking masks.

What other storylines are currently in the works on 'High Potential'?

Well, for starters, we now know that Willa Quinn (played by the incomparable Jennifer Jason Leigh) is in cahoots with Captain Wagner's (Steve Howey) dad, a nefarious politician. And they both know way more about Roman's disappearance then they want anyone to learn.

There's also the still fairly new on-again relationship between Karadec and Lucia (Susan Kelechi Watson) to keep an eye on.

When my parents first started working on their retirement plans more than a decade ago, they considered relocating to several different nearby states. And while one state kept popping up on their radar thanks to access to everything from beaches to mountains, the lack of long-term affordability kept them from pulling the proverbial trigger.

Now, that state has just been named the worst place to retire in a report from Seniorly, and I'm kind of glad that my mom and dad passed it up all those years ago.

New Jersey Named Worst State for Retirees

In 2025, Seniorlycompiled data on all 50 states, looking at things like cost of living, access to healthcare, and overall recreational opportunities to come up with the best and worst places to retire. After reviewing all of the data, the company named New Jersey as the worst state to retire, calling it "one of the leas affordable states in the country." The report says that the tax rate is 10.75 percent for top earners. And while it's hard to imagine that retirees can be "top earners" these days, those with substantial retirement savings and investments could qualify.

Not only that, but Seniorly also noted a few other factors at play, stating that overall, the state has poor access to arts and recreation opportunity for seniors who are likely looking to stay active by filling their day with engaging and community driven activities. The report also determined that New Jersey has a very unhealthy senior population, stating that 65 percent of the seniors living in the state have more than three chronic conditions.

This hints at two different issues for those ages 65 an up, which include having to compete for healthcare options since so many seniors in the state will need specialists, as well as the potential for the environment itself to play a factor in your health as you age.

Several Other States Received Bottom Ratings for Retirees

In addition to New Jersey, Seniorly also called out several other states in its report, explaining that they also failed to meet some of the metrics that would matter most to seniors. The list includes:

• Georgia
• Oklahoma

While these states can be considered more affordable than others, it sounds like its the overall health of senior populations in these other states that landed them on the list, as well as below-average spending on long-term care, which likely means that the facilities that these seniors may need to call home once they can no longer live on their own may not be as nice or as updated as those in other states where the spending on long-term care facilities is higher.

Of course, all that being said, many people can make the most of any situation. And there are likely plenty of people who dream of retiring in New Jersey, especially if they are lucky enough to snag a place close to any of the state's beautiful shore points, which should find more than enough opportunities for excursive and outdoor recreation.

Kylie Kelce and her husband, retired NFL star Jason Kelce, have just expanded their family by one more. The podcast host and mom of four daughters took to social media to share the news.

On March 31, the host of the "Not Gonna Lie" podcast shared a new video on the show's Instagram page. The caption read, "Meet Kylie's new puppy!"

In an additional comment, Kelce added, "Meow?" That part made sense to everybody after watching the video.

The video showed Kelce standing outdoors, holding two puppies in her arms. She said, "So, as you can see, there is no snow on the ground, and, I'm holding two puppies."

"Something happened," she added.

Kelce then shared, "May I introduce Bernadette Kelce." She teasingly tried to put a cat-ear headband over the puppy's head and exclaimed, "It's the cat I'm adopting. Meow?"

"You caught me. It's not a cat. It's a German shepherd puppy. I can't help myself," Kelce admitted.

She sheepishly added, "Someone let me loose in a rescue and this is what happened. I can't..."

Kelce then snuggled the puppy and said, "Welcome to the family, Bernadette. Until Jason changes her name."

Additional context regarding the newest Kelce family member was added in a new episode of "Not Gonna Lie." The new podcast episode was posted a few hours before the revealing Instagram post went live.

She explained as the podcast episode began that her husband had been "leaning more, I think, towards barn cats" in terms of adding another member to the family. Kelce then asked the ladies at the rescue she was talking with what they see as the biggest thing that holds people back from adopting, "if not their husband."

The episode was initially filmed about six weeks ago, when there was snow on the ground. Kelce visited the Pennsylvania SPCA Main Line Animal Rescue to showcase their work, but "then something special happened."

As a result of that something special, "We had to film an entirely new ending. That's called a tease," Kelce shared.

Kelce then joked that this was "the cuddliest, fuzziest, furriest, probably most personally reckless episode of FAFO. And that's saying something."

The reckless reference was because Kelce was specifically visiting adoptable animals at the rescue. "I know I'm putting myself in a very bad predicament here," she admitted, suggesting it might be impossible for her to leave without a new family member.

"Some of you might know that between my husband and I, we have an ongoing cat saga. Jason does know that I'm here today. We did discuss whether or not he would be peeved if I came home with an animal," she explained.

Apparently, the NFL alum told his wife that on a scale of 1 to 10 of how mad he'd be, he would be a 10. That may have slowed the podcaster down a bit, but it didn't stop her. Kelce admitted, "To my credit, he did not distinguish which side of the scale was p*ssed."

As soon as Kelce sat down with the first group of puppies, she started falling in love. However, Bernadette did not come from that first group.

When Kelce was filming the first part of the episode, she learned about puppies that were at another location of the rescue. She loves German shepherds, so she couldn't resist.

Several weeks later, as she met the puppies, she noted that her husband agreed to this, "If I gave him naming rights." Going into meeting the puppies, the name Bernadette was already a leading contender. Soon, Kelce met "the one."

While Kelce did meet a lot of cats, and the family has talked about adopting a cat, she declared, "We're not ready for that."

The decision was made, the puppy was picked, and the Kelce family has grown by one more.

Del Amitri, the Scottish alternative rock band who hit the bigtime with '90s hit songs, including "Nothing Ever Happens" (1990) and "Roll to Me" (1995), has quite an exciting announcement for U.S. fans and music lovers. For the first time since 2023, the band will be hopping back across the pond to play some shows in several U.S. cities for Summer 2026.

In case you lost track, the musical group founded in Glasgow, Scotland back in 1980s is still touring and recording to date. Following a long break after their 2002 album Can You Do Me Good, Del Amitri released their seventh studio album Fatal Mistakes in 2021.

Even after frontman Justin Currie publicly revealed his Parkinson's diagnosis in 2024, they're still going strong. Del Amitri is currently taking their Past to Present: Four Decades of Their Greatest Music Tour on the road around the UK.

Former 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On star Joseph Duggar was just released from jail after posting a $600,000 bond as he awaits trial for child molestation charges.

On Tuesday, March 31, Duggar, 31, was released from custody in Florida after his first court appearance in the state following his extradition from Arkansas.

Earlier in the morning, Duggar attended a Fourteenth Circuit court appearance via Zoom from the Bay County Jail. Judge Tracy Smith set bonds for Duggar totalling $600,000—$100,000 for the lewd and lascivious behavior by a person 18 years or older charge, $500,000 for the lewd and lascivious behavior—molestation of a victim less than 12 years old charge. She also ordered that he has no contact with the alleged victim and no unsupervised contact with any minors under 18.

On Sunday, March 29, Duggar entered a written plea of not guilty and requested a jury trial. His next court date is set for April 20 at 9 a.m. CT.

The release of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar's seventh-born child from custody came after the Bay County Sheriff's Office arrested Joseph on March 18 over alleged incidents involving a 9-year-old girl during a 2020 family vacation in Florida.

“The victim reported Duggar repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap. As the vacation continued, he also asked her to sit next to him on a couch and covered them with a blanket,” a news release from the BCSO detailed. “During this time, Duggar manipulated the victim’s underwear and grazed her genitals. Duggar would also continue to rub his hands on her thighs. The victim stated Duggar eventually apologized for his actions and the incidents stopped after the apology.”

Meanwhile, Joseph also faces four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment in Arkansas. His wife, Kendra Duggar, 27, was arrested and faces the same charges, according to a news release from the Tontitown Police Department.

“Kendra’s arrest has nothing to do with Joseph’s—although one precipitated another," a source with knowledge of the case told Us Weekly. After his charge, they automatically do a home study if minors live there. They came to her house.”

The source continued, “Apparently, they had two rooms where the lock of the doorknob was on the outside instead of inside. They arrested her and took her kids for that, saying it’s evidence that she wrongly detains her kids.”

In a January 2025 interview on Still Here Hollywood Podcast w/ Steve Kmetko, Hardin said she has never rewatched the comedy series, which had a nine-season run until 2013.

"I really don't," said Hardin during the podcast interview.

When it comes to holiday movies, It's a Wonderful Life takes the cake for many.

“Fathom Entertainment is thrilled to partner with Burns & Co. and bring Jimmy – the fascinating and inspiring story of the iconic American actor Jimmy Stewart – to the big screen,” Ray Nutt, CEO of Fathom Entertainment, said in a statement to Variety, adding that the movie “is a special film — filled with genuine heart and terrific performances — from a remarkable ensemble cast that brings Hollywood’s golden age and the battlefields of World War II vividly to life.”

Fathom also announced that it will bring back It’s a Wonderful Life to theaters beginning on Dec. 18 for its 80th anniversary, per Variety.

COVID-19 has changed a lot over the years, as has our ability to protect ourselves through vaccines. And we recently got some new news on the virus. On March 19, the CDC released a report stating that it was tracking the variant BA.3.2, nicknamed "Cicada. Health officials first detected it in 2024, but have recently noticed an uptick in infections attributed to Cicada. It's a subvariant of Omicron—just like XFG or Stratus, which are highly contagious and have circulated this year.

"As you can imagine, as soon as we identify the most recent variant, a new one pops up to take its place," says Dr. Sharon Nachman, MD, the chief of pediatric infectious diseases at Stony Brook Children's Hospital. "This is especially true if you are looking outside of your immediate geographical location or are traveling."

As new subvariants make headlines and infect people, it raises an important question: Does the current vaccine protect against the latest COVID mutation? Finding the answer can feel like taking a trip to the wild west.

"We are unfortunately seeing significant misinformation regarding health and wellness topics in general and vaccines in particular," states Dr. Mark Loafman, MD, MPH, a family physician. "This makes 'doing our own research' a potential minefield leading to missed opportunities for health prevention and, in some cases, actual harm. Turning to those who have actually done the research remains the best way forward."

But scientists have done the research on vaccines.

"We still have universal consensus on vaccine guidance from a wide array of scientific and medical groups and most state and local health departments," Dr. Loafman says. "In most cases, your family doctor is closely following this as they make recommendations and address your questions or concerns."

Below, doctors share what they're telling their patients about the current vaccine's ability to protect against the current COVID mutation.

Does the Current Vaccine Protect Against the Cicada Variant?

"Yes, the current vaccine offers significant protection against serious illness from all currently circulating COVID strains, which is the primary goal for all vaccines," Dr. Loafman states. "There is also evidence that vaccinated individuals recover more quickly and are less likely to spread infection."

Dr. Nachman also says the vaccine protects from the current strains, which are related to the Omicron variant.

"The vaccine was developed using RNA from the past JN.1 variants to which Omicron is related," she explains.

And that's good news because getting the current COVID-19 strain is not a walk in the park.

"This variant has many mutations that may allow it to spread, but symptoms remain similar to other COVID strains, including cough, fever, fatigue, sore throat and congestion," says Dr. Raj Dasgupta, MD, a chief medical advisor for Sleepopolis. "While variants may change over time, the core pattern of respiratory symptoms generally stays consistent."

To be clear, getting the COVID vaccine doesn't mean you are 100% protected from infection.

"Protection isn’t perfect against every mutation, but data show that updated vaccines still reduce hospitalizations and serious outcomes compared with no vaccination," Dr. Dasgupta clarifies.

Dr. Nachman tells Parade that the current vaccine may not protect against variants that will circulate down the road. But for now, your best bet is to ensure you're up-to-date on your COVID-19 vaccines, which are providing protection from current strains.

Is It Too Late To Get a COVID Vaccine?

No, it's not too late to get a COVID vaccine. Unlike professional athletes (and to a large extent, the flu), COVID-19 doesn't get an offseason.

"It is never too late to get a vaccine if you are due for one," Dr. Loafman says. "With technological advancements leading to a few new and improved COVID vaccines in the past few years, it can be challenging to know if or when you are due for vaccination."

Dr. Nachman shares that the common suggestion is to get boosted against COVID after three or more months.

"But, it is also important to think about what is happening in your community, what is your health status and who else lives with you that you need to help protect," she states.

It can get confusing. Dr. Loafman shares that your family doctor can work with you on the best cadence for your health and help you track when it's time to roll up your sleeves and get another COVID-19 booster.

"This helps you catch up, stay current, and forecast what will be due in the near future, and when," he says.

Who Should Get the COVID Vaccine?

Dr. Dasgupta suggests that people ages six months and older get COVID vaccines and boosters.

"The strongest emphasis is on adults 65 and older and people who are at higher risk for severe disease," he tells Parade. "People with chronic health conditions, those who are immunocompromised, pregnant people, and people in long-term care settings are especially encouraged to get vaccinated."

Again, Dr. Dasgupta says it's best to go over your health history and personal risk factors with your doctor. From there, he notes you can find a COVID vaccine at:

• Pharmacies
• Community health centers
• Primary care offices
• Public health clinics

"You can check with your local health department, pharmacy, or your clinician to find nearby vaccine locations," Dr. Dasgupta adds. "Many pharmacies allow scheduling online or by phone and can tell you what vaccines they have in stock."

Speaking of information, it's important to ensure what you're hearinga bout COVID and vaccines is accurate.

"Don't take medical advice at face value from social media influencers who lack proper credentials and know nothing about your family’s specific medical situation and needs," Dr. Nachman states. "You would not go to a grocery store to ask the cashier how to install your new windows. You would want the expert to tell you what to do, which windows work best for your home, and how to install them correctly. The same process for the correct answers should also drive your need for information about vaccines from a trusted source."

Besides your doctor, she suggests looking at the websites of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Immunize.org and VaccinateYourFamily.org also have good resources.

USA Today's panel of judges have named Citizen's Bank Park as the number one MLB stadium in the country. "The City of Brotherly Love welcomed a brand-new stadium in the 21st century, with Citizens Bank Park opening to the public in 2004," the details of the voting said. "Philadelphia Phillies games are a top attraction around here, but no visit to the park is complete without checking out Ashburn Alley, a site that's packed full of local restaurants and baseball-themed interactive displays."

Those who want to catch a game there will have dozens of opportunities to, since it appears that the league will be hosting more than 80 of its games in the beloved park. As for ticket prices, you can expect to pay a range of prices depending on where you're seated, with some tickets going for as little as $49 each. Of course, that doesn't include some of the other expenses you may face when heading to the big game, since you'll also likely encounter parking fees or else need to pony up for transportation costs, especially if you'll be drinking.

The park, which is less than two hours from Citizens Bank Park (depending on when you're traveling and whether you get stuck in that Philly's game day traffic), would make the perfect stop for anyone hoping to see exactly what all the fuss is about Pennsylvania's ballparks, and why we keep ranking so high when it comes time to enjoy America's favorite past time.
