Joseph Duggar Spotted for First Time Since Release from Jail

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 7:13pm

Joseph Duggar has been photographed in public for the first time since being released on bond.

On Reddit, one user snapped photos of Joseph and his father Jim Bob Duggar on Tuesday, Mar. 31. The user claimed the pictures were taken at the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport in Bay County, Florida around 3 p.m. local time.

Joseph was seen wearing a blue collared shirt, yellow hat, and black sunglasses while conversing with his father. A picture further down the thread also shows the pair eating at an airport restaurant.

Earlier on Tuesday, Joseph had his first court appearance in Bay County and was released after posting a $600,000 bond. Joseph's attorney Albert Sauline also confirmed his client was scheduled to fly home to Arkansas later that day.

Conditions of his release included having no contact with the alleged victim and no unsupervised contact with any minors under 18. The judge set Joseph’s next court date for April 20 at 9 a.m. local time.

Joseph previously entered a written plea of not guilty on Sunday, Mar. 29 and requested a jury trial.

On Wednesday, Mar. 18, Joseph was arrested and charged for Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Two days later, Joseph and his wife Kendra were hit with additional child endangerment charges—unrelated to Joseph’s initial case.

According to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office Facebook, investigators were contacted on Mar. 18 by a police detective in Tontitown, Arkansas—where the Duggar family lives—about a report of past sexual abuse.

During a forensic interview, the 14-year-old victim disclosed incidents involving Joseph during a family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida, when she was 9.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victim reported that Joseph “repeatedly asked her to sit on his lap, sit beside him on a couch, and cover them with a blanket.” Joseph then allegedly made inappropriate contact with the victim and rubbed his hands on her thighs.

The victim said that Joseph eventually apologized, and that the alleged misconduct stopped after the apology.

Investigators discovered the victim’s father confronted Joseph about these incidents on Mar. 17, 2026, with Joseph admitting his actions to the victim’s father and to Tontitown Detectives.

Joseph was arrested out of state and faces charges of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, including Molestation of a victim under 12 and conduct by a person 18 or older.

John Stamos Reveals His Dramatic Look for New Film Freaked Out His Wife

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 7:11pm

John Stamos revealed that his wife, Caitlin McHugh, didn't love how he changed up his look for the upcoming film, Drag.

While speaking to Collider in March 2026, Stamos referenced that he plays a villainous character in the new horror comedy, which also stars Lizzy Caplan, Christine Ko, and Lucy DeVito. He said that he "really wanted to change [his] look" for the dark role. According to Stamos, McHugh, the mother of his 7-year-old son, Billy, wasn't a fan of his makeover.

"I put brown contacts in. And I thought that would help. I thinned out my very thick eyebrows to give it, and I had them add a little point ... And it freaked my wife out for a long time and a long time after," said Stamos during the Collider interview.

John Stamos Said He Appreciated Being Able to Star in 'Drag'

During a March 2026 interview with Deadline Hollywood, Stamos said he had been longing for a role like his Drag character, whom he described as someone who "reveals the dark truth about who he is." He said he was grateful to the film's writers and directors, Raviv Ullman and Greg Yagolnitzer, for allowing him to play the disturbing character. He also referenced that his best-known role is Uncle Jesse from the family sitcomFull House, which had an eight-season run until 1995.

"This was a big swing for them to hire someone like me to do this," said Stamos during the interview with Deadline Hollywood.

He said, however, that his role as Jesse will help audiences immediately trust his Drag character, making his behavior more shocking.

"I think the easy part is the first part, making people like you, and they go, 'Oh, we know that's Uncle Jesse. He's going to be nice through this,'" said the actor during the interview.

He also said that he "stayed away from" his co-stars during the film's production, seemingly so his character would be more unnerving.

"Everybody was having fun and eating cake and stuff, and I didn't want to be around them. I didn't want to get to know them. I didn't want to have chemistry with them," said the 62-year-old.

Aldi Shoppers Say This Zero-Sugar Soda Is 'One of the Best' They've Ever Had

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 7:05pm

If you're trying to cut back on sugar but still want a soda that actually tastes like soda, you know how hit-or-miss zero-sugar options can be. You can usually tell within the first sip if it's worth finishing. And more often than not, it isn't.

Summit Zero Sugar Cola is getting a lot of love from Aldi shoppers. The 12-pack costs just over $4, but some say it tastes better than expected. A few are even calling it one of the best zero-sugar sodas they've tried, which isn't something people say lightly about store-brand cola.

What Is Summit Zero Sugar Cola?

Aldi

Summit Zero Sugar Cola is Aldi's take on a classic cola, minus the sugar and calories. It comes in a 12-pack of 12-ounce cans and is priced at $4.19, making it one of the more affordable (and tastiest) options in the soda aisle.

Like most store-brand sodas, it's meant to deliver that traditional cola flavor at a lower price point than name brands. In this case, it's positioned as an alternative to drinks like Coke Zero or Pepsi Zero, but at a fraction of the cost.

That price difference is a big part of why it's been a hit. With soda prices climbing, especially for name brands, more shoppers are open to trying store-brand versions to see if they hold up. And at just over $4 for a full case, this one feels like a low-risk pickup.

by u/Showbizzah in youtubehaiku

Some shoppers think this is one of those rare cases where a store-brand soda actually tastes better than the real thing.

On Reddit, one user called it "THE GOAT!!!" adding that it's "probably one of the best zero sodas I've had other than Dr Pepper. Another ALDI banger!!!" That kind of reaction stands out in a category where people tend to stick to their go-to brands.

Others noted that the flavor feels a little smoother than that of some zero-sugar sodas. The same reviewer noted it tastes "less aspartame-y than Coke Zero," which is a big plus for anyone who doesn't love that cloying artificial sweetness.

Several shoppers said they hadn't seen it in their local stores yet, but were already planning to grab a pack when it shows up. Comments like "I'll be on the lookout!!" and "I am excited to try this" were common reactions, especially from people hoping to find an alternative for their go-to zero-sugar soda.

A lot of it comes down to price. Summit sodas are already known for being pretty solid for what they cost, and this one is no different. If it tastes good and costs less, people are going to grab it.

Not Everyone Is Sold on It

At the same time, not every shopper is ready to swap out their usual soda.

In Facebook groups, some reviewers said the flavor tasted more like "diet" than "zero," with one noting it had a "more diet-tasting flavor than zero sugar." Some said it didn't quite match what they expected from something like Coke Zero, especially if that's what they drink regularly.

There are also shoppers who are just loyal to their usual soda brands. For daily Diet Coke or Coke Zero drinkers, even small flavor differences can be enough to keep them with what they know. A few people mentioned finishing the pack, but not planning to buy it again.

Still, even with the mixed reviews, many people are willing to try at least once. The price makes it an easy choice when filling up your cart, and for some shoppers, it ends up being an affordable alternative.

Award-Winning Author's 2007 Bestseller Ranked 'Best Fantasy Book of the 21st Century' on Goodreads

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 6:46pm

If you're looking for a new fantasy series to lose yourself in for a bit, you might find yourself searching out recommendations from other bookworms with similar taste. Luckily, thousands of Goodreads users voted for the "Best Fantasy Books of the 21st Century," and the award-winning novel at the top of the list definitely won't disappoint anyone who decides to crack it open.

At the very top of a list of over 3,000 books was the 2007 bestseller The Name of the Wind, the first novel in the ongoing trilogy The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss.

Described on the site as an "the tale of the magically gifted young man who grows to be the most notorious wizard his world has ever seen," the book has been hailed as a masterpiece, winning both fans (including George RR Martin, Michael Chabon, and Ursula Le Guin) and awards, including the Quill Award, the Alex Award, and the distinction of "Best Book of the Year" in 2007 from Publisher's Weekly (in the category of Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror).

View this post on Instagram

The Name of the Wind has an average rating of 4.52 stars on Goodreads, where there's no lack of glowing reviews.

"As an avid adult fantasy reader, out of all the books that I’ve been recommended, The Name of the Wind has always been recommended to me the most," one person wrote, going on to add, "and now that I’ve read it, it’s in my opinion that the fame is totally well deserved; there’s no doubt that this is truly a fantastic high fantasy book."

"This is why I love fantasy so much," declared a second fan. "After a recent string of okay fantasy novels, a couple of good ones but nothing to get really excited about, I've rediscovered my passion thanks to this book. I'm so impressed, and so in love, I can't begin to describe it."

Patrick Rothfuss called his first attempts at writing a fantasy novel a 'trainwreck'

In a 2016 interview with Wired (shared oh his official website), Rothfuss opened up about the struggles he went through trying to find his voice as a writer and avoiding too many "familiar fantasy tropes."

"When I started writing this book, I was trying to not write the novel that I wrote in high school, which was a trainwreck of bad decisions," Rothfuss admitted.

"That novel was a lot of fantasy cliches mashed up in a very unappealing structure," he continued. "So I wanted this story to be something a little new and a little different. But at the same time, I wanted it to be familiar and warm and exciting in nostalgic ways. That was a hard needle to thread."

"I wanted the story to feel really real, almost like a biography, or an autobiography," Rothfuss added. "And real stories are messy. They're sloppy and unsatisfying. But I also wanted it to feel gratifying in terms of being a novel, being a story, being a piece of entertainment. Again, those were two really antithetical goals that I set out for myself. And it made my life a hell for 15 years."

Clearly, the author's hard work paid off.

Tiger Woods Breaks Silence on DUI Arrest, Reveals He's Seeking Treatment

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 6:25pm

Tiger Woods is speaking out for the first time his DUI arrest.

“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” the pro golfer wrote in a statement posted to X on Tuesday, Mar. 31. “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”

“I’ve committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally," he continued. "I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”

RELATED: Tiger Woods Arrested on Suspicion of DUI After Rollover Car Crash in Florida

The accident leading to Woods' arrest occurred near his home in Jupiter Island, Florida, just after 2 p.m. ET on Friday, Mar. 27.

Martin County Sheriff John Budensieksaid when police responded to the scene, they found a pickup truck pulling a pressure-cleaner trailer and a Range Rover belonging to Woods on its side.

Budensiek said officers could see that Woods “might be impaired,” prompting them to contact the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff said their investigation revealed that the pickup truck was traveling northbound and was begin to pull into a driveway.

“The driver of that vehicle looked in his mirror and saw a [Range] Rover overtaking him at high speeds,” Budensiek said. “He saw it coming, so he tried to edge off the side of the road, but this is a small two-lane road, and there was no shoulder … to get off the side of the road.”

Budensiek claimed the Range Rover “swerved to avoid a collision” but clipped the back end of the pressure-cleaner trailer, causing the vehicle to roll over on its side.

After the crash, the sheriff said Woods was able to crawl out of the vehicle through the passenger’s side door.

“Our DUI investigators came to the scene, and Mr. Woods did (exhibit) signs of impairment,” Budensiek said.

After officers performed several tests on him, Woods was placed under arrest and taken to the Martin County Jail, where he stayed for approximately 8 hours. He was released from custody after posting $1,150 bail.

"Mr. Woods did a breathalyzer test with triple zeros, but when it came time for us to ask for a urine analysis test, he refused, so he’s been charged with DUI, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test,” Budensiek added.

The sheriff believes the golfer was impaired by “some type of medication or drug” rather than alcohol.

“We will never get definitive results as to what he was impaired on at the time of the crash,” the sheriff noted.

An arrest affidavit obtained by Us Weekly on Mar. 31 later revealed that Woods allegedly had two hydrocodone pills in his pocket at the time of his arrest.

Police also claimed Woods was “lethargic and slow,” and that his eyes were “bloodshot and glassy” with “extremely dilated” pupils, per the document.

Neither Woods nor the driver of the pickup truck were hurt in the crash.

Tom Schwartz Reveals Why He Feels 'Guilty' About Amanda Batula & West Wilson Situation

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 6:18pm

Former Vanderpump Rulesstar and current The Valley personality Tom Schwartz shared his opinion about the now-confirmed romance rumors regarding Summer House stars West Wilson and Amanda Batula.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, published on March 31, Schwartz was asked to comment on rumors that Batula and Wilson were romantic. Schwartz told the publication that he was intrigued by the then-rumors regarding Wilson and Batula, causing him to feel a sense of guilt, as he's friends with the Summer House cast.

"People have this perception of me as being, like, [I'm] someone who doesn't really care about [it], [but] I like drama too. And those are my friends though, so I feel guilty 'cause I've been doing sleuthing," said Schwartz during the interview.

He also said he and his Valley castmate, Zack Wickham, were fascinated by the situation.

"I don't want to say I'm savoring it 'cause those are my friends and there's a human cost there if that's actually happening," said Schwartz to the publication.

Amanda Batula and West Wilson Let Fans Know the Rumors Were True on Instagram

Batula and Wilson let fans know the romance rumors are true in their March 31 Instagram Stories. According to People, the pair wrote, "We've seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity."

They also stated that "it was never [their] intention to purposely hide anything," before referencing how their romance could affect other Summer House cast members. As fans of Summer House are aware, Wilson and his co-star Ciara Miller, a friend of Batula, had a romance for a few months until their December 2023 breakup. Batula and her estranged husband and castmate, Kyle Cooke, revealed they separated in January 2026.

"Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we need a little space to process things privately before speaking on it," stated Wilson and Batula in their Instagram Stories, per People.

Wilson and Batula also stated that their "connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for [them] to approach this with care."

Summer House season 10 is currently airing on Bravo.

Spring is finally here, and we can't wait until it's warm enough to grab a book and a blanket and head to a nearby park to enjoy a lazy afternoon of daydreaming with some fictional characters. If you're also psyched to catch up on a bit of reading this month, you might be looking for some inspiration. A new month means a bunch of new book releases to choose from, but narrowing down your selections isn't always easy. That's why Parade asked for help from the people who know books best—librarians—and asked them to share their picks for the best book releases coming in April 2026.

In March, librarians curated a comprehensive list of 11 new releases for the month and shared a diverse array of options, ranging from psychological thrillers and biographies to dark fantasy and historical fiction.

For April, we asked seven librarians to dish on the new book releases that they're eagerly awaiting this month. Once again, they came through with some intriguing picks that span several book genres, including murder mysteries, romance, nonfiction and everything in between. In other words, you're bound to find something that you'll love on the list of books below.

11 Best Book Releases in April 2026, According to Librarians1. ‘London Falling: A Mysterious Death in a Gilded City and a Family's Search for Truth‘ by Patrick Radden Keefe

Amazon

Available April 7

Wilmington Memorial Library Circulation Librarian Lisa Crispin is adding this upcoming release to her reading list since she enjoyed the author's previous book, Say Nothing, which she describes as a "gripping account of The Troubles in Northern Ireland."

"Keefe has a remarkable talent for making nonfiction read like a thriller, bringing both people and places vividly to life. London Falling, with its exploration of a secret underground crime world in London, really intrigues me," she says.

London Falling combines reporting and writing to tell the story of Rachelle and Matthew Brettler's quest to discover what happened to their son, Zac, who was found dead in 2019.

"Only after his death did they learn that he had adopted a fictitious alter-ego: Zac Ismailov, son of a Russian oligarch and heir to a great fortune. Under this guise, Zac had become entangled with a slippery London businessman named Akbar Shamji, and a murderous gangster known as 'Indian Dave,'" the book description reads.

The book is an "investigation of an inexplicable death" and a deep dive into the "nature of parental love and the challenges of being a parent today."

2. ‘The Ending Writes Itself' by Evelyn Clarke

Amazon

Available April 7

Adam Vorobok, a librarian at the Cincinnati Public Library, is intrigued by the fact that V.E. Schwab and Cat Clarke wrote this mystery together under the pen name Evelyn Clarke.

"I'm a big fan of the Darker Shade of Magic series by V.E. Schwab," he says. "Finding out that she teamed up with Cat Clarke to write an And Then There Were None-inspired mystery that also sounds very meta? Sign me up!"

In the novel, six struggling authors are invited to spend a weekend on the private island of bestselling novelist Arthur Fletch. While there, the group discovers that Fletch is dead, and they learn that his agent and editor are hoping that one of the writers can complete Fletch's unfinished book. They're willing to pay a lot of money and help relaunch the career of anyone who's up for the job. But they only have 72 hours to complete the task.

3. ‘The Paris Match' by Kate Clayborn

Amazon

Available April 7

American Library Association (ALA) President Sam Helmick is a fan of Clayborn and says the author "writes romance that feels thoughtful, smart and deeply human."

"This book follows a woman’s travels to Paris for her former sister-in-law’s wedding, only to find herself unexpectedly reconnecting with her ex-husband and questioning whether their 'amicable divorce' was really the end of their story. Readers who enjoy romance with emotional depth and great dialogue are going to love this one," they share.

In the book, physician Layla Bailey inadvertently causes her former sister-in-law to get cold feet. The groom's best man, Griffin, then insists that Layla help fix the situation.

"Going along with his plan to alleviate the engaged couple's doubts seems like Layla’s best chance at maintaining a good relationship with a family she once called her own. But as she learns more about the past heartbreak that’s driving Griff to help his friend, she gets closer and closer to confronting the true depth of her own pain… while finding herself more and more willing to risk it all again for Griff," the book description reads.

4. ‘American Fantasy' by Emma Straub

Amazon

Available April 7

"Emma Straub consistently blends humor, nostalgia and emotional insight in ways that make her books irresistible," Helmick says. "Books that tap into pop culture while still saying something meaningful about people are always a hit with readers."

The ALA President is looking forward to diving into this book about a cruise themed around a beloved 1990s boy band. The cruise "brings together thousands of fans and the band members themselves to create a hilarious and heartfelt exploration of fame, aging and fandom," they share.

Readers meet Annie, a newly divorced woman who is turning 50. Even though she agreed to go on the cruise to please her sister, Annie soon "reconnects to a long-submerged part of herself" as she listens to her childhood idols sing, per the book description.

"By the time she meets one of the band members—not just a celebrity but someone in need of a friend—she has accessed a new sense of possibility," the description continues.

[Editor's note: I received an ARC and can confirm this new book from Straub is not only fun, but incredibly thought-provoking!]

5. ‘The Infinite Sadness of Small Appliances' by Glenn Dixon

Amazon

Available April 7

Jill Keller, a librarian at the Cincinnati Public Library, is looking forward to this book that's "giving Brave Little Toaster vibes."

Readers meet Harold and his dying wife, Edie, who live in a smart house. Their "young and sentient Roomba" names herself Scout and "embarks on a journey of self-discovery," per the book description.

When Edie dies, Scout and the other sentient appliances "discover that there are sinister forces in their midst."

"The omnipresent Grid, which monitors every household in the City, seeks to remove Harold from his home, a place he’s lived in for fifty years. With the help of Adrian, a neighborhood boy who grows close to Scout and Harold, as well as Kate, Harold and Edie’s formerly estranged daughter, the humans and the appliances must come together to outwit the all-controlling Grid lest they risk losing everything they hold dear," the description reads.

6. ‘Cherry Baby' by Rainbow Rowell

Amazon

Available April 14

"Rainbow Rowell has a gift for writing emotionally honest stories wherein readers immediately recognize themselves," Helmick says.

The ALA President is excited for this book, which they say follows a woman named Cherry "whose life has been turned into a story by someone else." Along the way, the woman has to "confront the parts of her past she wants to reclaim and the kind of future she’s ready to build."

"Rowell writes the kind of novels that spark conversation and empathy, which is exactly what libraries hope great fiction will do," they state.

In the book, readers are introduced to Cherry, whose husband, Tom, is making a movie with a character, Baby, who is based on her.

"Wide-hipped, heavy-chested, double-chinned Baby. Cherry never wanted this. No fat girl wants to see herself caricatured on the page—let alone on the big screen. But there's no getting away from it. Baby looks so much like Cherry that strangers recognize her at the grocery store," the book description reads.

When Cherry runs into a man from her past named Russ, she's thrilled to hear that he's never heard of her husband's movie, and she's intrigued to talk to him.

7. ‘Japanese Gothic' by Kylie Lee Baker

Amazon

Available April 14

Cincinnati Public Library librarians Keith Good and Emma Demopoulos are eager to read this book, which comes out in the middle of the month, especially since they enjoyed Baker's horror novel, Bat Eater and Other Names for Cora Zeng.

"Japanese Gothic, which promises ghosts, time-travel, mythology and samurai, looks to be just as good," Good says.

The book description calls the upcoming release a "lyrical, wildly inventive horror novel interwoven with Japanese mythology." In the book, two people living centuries apart find a door between their worlds. In 2026, there's Lee Turner, who "doesn’t remember how or why he killed his college roommate." In 1877, there's Sen, a young samurai in exile.

"One of these people is a ghost, and one of these stories is a lie. Something is hiding beneath the house of sword ferns, and Lee and Sen will soon wish they never unburied it," the description reads.

8. ‘Mad Mabel' by Sally Hepworth

Amazon

Available April 21

"Sally Hepworth is a master of suspense that keeps readers guessing until the final pages," Helmick shares about Mad Mabel's author. This book is currently on the ALA President's reading list, too.

"Mad Mabel feels like the kind of twisty thriller readers will pass to friends with the words: 'You have to read this.' When suspicion falls on an elderly woman named Mabel, a community begins to wonder whether the person they underestimated might be far more dangerous than they realized," they say.

In the book, 81-year-old Mabel's neighbors become suspicious of her when one of their community members dies. Earlier in her life, Mabel was Australia's youngest convicted murderer, so it makes sense, but she's kept a secret "buried for decades," per the book description.

"So Mabel does what she’s always done best―she takes matters into her own hands," the book description reads.

9. ‘This Vast Enterprise: A New History of Lewis & Clark' by Craig Fehrman

Amazon

Available April 21

"Lewis and Clark literally mapped America, yet we only know a schoolbook's outline of their lives and journey," Good says. "Fehrman's new book, meticulously researched and told narratively through multiple points of view, looks to shine a bright light on the men and women that shaped the United States."

To research the book, Fehrman consulted lost documents, Native perspectives and "lost documents, stunning analysis, and Native perspectives," per the book description, and spent five years "visiting more than thirty archives, interviewing more than a hundred sources, and collecting oral history passed down over centuries."

10. ‘The Caretaker' by Marcus Kliewer

Amazon

Available April 21

"I'm excited for Caretaker because I read this author's first book, We Used to Live Here, and that book was so eerie. This looks like it'll be just as spooky!" Demopoulos shares.

In The Caretaker, readers meet Macy Mullins, a woman who takes a job as a caretaker in Oregon "after an endless string of failed job interviews," per the book description.

"What starts as a peculiar side gig soon becomes a waking nightmare. An incomprehensible evil may dwell on this property—and Macy Mullins might just be the only thing standing between it, and the rest of humanity," the book description reads.

11. ‘How to Cheat Your Own Death' by Kristen Perrin

Amazon

Available April 28

Cincinnati Public Library librarian Maggie Starr is eager to devour this upcoming novel, as is Demopoulos.

"I'm excited for How to Cheat Your Own Death because it's [the] third in a series of great cozy mysteries," Starr says.

The book takes readers from the 1960s to the present day in West London. In the 1960s, readers follow Frances Adams and her new friend, socialite Vera Huntington. Vera introduces Frances to a "world of glamour," per the book description.

In the present day, Annie Adams visits London to see her artist mother, Laura. While there, she finds the dead body of Laura's new protégée, whose heart was surgically removed. Annie has already solved a few murders, so she's intrigued.

"And something about this case feels familiar. She’s read about one just like it in the journals of her late great aunt Frances, whose friend Vera was killed in the 1960s in the exact same way," the book description reads. "As Annie investigates, threats pile up on Laura’s doorstep, and it soon becomes clear that she’s next. With her mother’s life on the line, can Annie find the killer before it’s too late?"

Will There Be a 'Sons of Anarchy' Prequel? The Show Creator Isn't Saying No

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 6:08pm

Say you get Kurt Sutter, creator of the FX show Sons of Anarchy in a room or on the phone or whatever. What do you ask? Well, Deadline editor-at-large Mike Fleming, Jr. did it and asked the exact question probably every Sons of Anarchy fan wants to know the answer to. Will there be a Sons of Anarchy prequel?

In the Deadline story, Fleming is also covering Sutter's new limited-run choral concert project with his wife, actor Katy Sagal (Married With Children, Sons of Anarchy), which is called Khorus Harmonia (more on this below). But some SOA fans have a one-track mind.

Skip right to the part where Fleming asks Sutter about a Sons of Anarchy prequel. In fact, it's the very detailed prequel idea that Sutter has floated around before, which would include:

  • How John Teller formed the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original (SAMCRO) after returning from Vietnam.
  • How SAMCRO evolved from a once-honorable club into a criminal enterprise.
  • What roles did young Gemma (Sagal) and young Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman) play in the club's eventual evolution.
  • How John Teller actually died.
  • Plus, what about those journals John Teller left behind? What led to those?

Sutter does answer the question about a possible prequel, too, and he does not say no.

In fact, he says: “When I know it’s the right time for it, and it all makes sense, that’s when it’ll happen."

When (!??) it'll happen? Is this an actual prequel teaser? It's truly hard to tell.

Sutter continues, adding slightly more caginess, "I think there are still some stories to tell, and it would be fantastic to come back and be able to do that. I don’t think it’s completely off the table, but as things change, you embrace whatever direction you’re taken in.”

Until we know one way or another about future SOA prequel, Sutter is tied to a few other possible series: an untitled 1950s private eye drama and a new biker series called Nomad, which is set in New Zealand and potentially starring actor Jason Momoa.

Plus! Sagal created and is leading the Khorus Harmonia production in Los Angeles, which is taglined "Music and Feels in 66 Minutes" and features singing performances focused on emotional connection. Sutter is handling staging. All proceeds from the show will be donated to the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights and the Wounded Warrior Project.

For now, relive the end of Sons of Anarchy with the series' final "thank you" video:

‘Fire Country’s’ Diane Farr Just Listed Her Stunning L.A.-Area Home and It’s Breathtaking

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 6:05pm

On the CBS drama Fire Country, actress Diane Farr plays Sharon Leone, a tough and highly respected Cal Fire division chief who knows her way around high-pressure situations. In real life, Farr is certainly respected by her peers, but she probably leans much artsier than her on-screen alter ego. And nothing drives that idea home more than taking a peek inside her former L.A.-area home, which she recently put up for sale as first reported by Realtor.com.

The 4-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home is situated in La Cañada, a quiet and scenic respite that's roughly 13 miles north of downtown L.A.. Farr purchased the home 15 years ago and after a good run of raising her three children there, she decided to make the move to the state of Washington full time.

SIGN UP for the Dengarden / Parade Home & Garden newsletter for a weekly dose of our favorite house hacks, decor trends and shopping deals

As far as celebrity homes go, this colorful abode surrounded by nature looks like a true piece of art. Farr is asking $2.799M for the 2,824-square-foot property.

The listing refers to the home as a "private designer's retreat," with Balinese gates at the entry and a true oasis-like feel once you're inside. You'll find multiple skylights to bring the outside in, but there are also charming outdoor areas when you want to take in that fresh air or enjoy a dip in the pool.

Perhaps the most gorgeous room in the house is the dining room, with mirrored textured and paper covered walls, as well as a showstopping chandelier. Although the gorgeous Japanese soaking tub in one of the bathrooms ain't too shabby either. The whole home exudes warmth, and you can tell it was a space truly loved by Farr's family by the decor alone.

The Home Includes a Thoughtful Safety Feature

Given Southern California's history with wildfires, Farr added a copper rooftop sprinkler to the home which is powered by gas. The sprinkler uses house water during high-risk periods, automatically switching to draw water from the pool in the unfortunate, but all too potentially real, event of evacuation.

Given Farr's TV role on Fire Country and the home's proximity to the 2025 Eaton fire that plagued nearby Altadena, it isn't surprising that she would take this safety precaution into consideration.

So, what do ya say? Are we all moving to La Cañada? Because this home makes the idea very tempting.

Sheena Easton, 66, Is Still a Stunning Redhead Several Years After Leaving the Chaos of Mega-Fame Behind

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 5:21pm

Sheena Easton is every bit the red-headed beauty in 2026 that she was back in the '80s.

The Scottish singer, 66, who rose to fame with iconic songs like “Morning Train (Nine to Five),” “Strut,” and “Sugar Walls,” was also well known for her association with Prince. Once one of the most prominent hitmakers of her day, the redheaded beauty, who did everything from winning Grammy Awards to guest-starring on Miami Vice, eventually left the chaotic life of the spotlight behind to focus on other things. But in a new photo, the stunning star looks just as incredible as she did during her days at the top of the music charts.

What Does Sheena Easton Think When Looking Back on the '80s?

In a revealing October interview with the New York Times, Easton, who hasn’t released a new album in 25 years, opened up about why she prefers a life that’s high on privacy.

“I’m not being shoved in people’s faces anymore, which means I can lead a very normal life 99 percent of the time,” she noted.

Easton worked tirelessly through the ’80s, turning out nine studio albums and touring constantly between 1981 and 1988, the Times piece points out. She skyrocketed to superstardom, but always kept her head on straight in an era when chaos was typical.

“What got me through the craziness of those years was that my instinct was always to go towards normal things, to stay as grounded as possible,” she said. “I felt like, this is all a wonderful fantasy, but I don’t ever want to start believing it’s real.”

Why Did Sheena Easton Ditch Fame?

By the early ’90s, Easton realized she wanted children. (She went on to adopt a son and a daughter.) She said the schedule worked out quite well, because she “did eight shows a week for two and a half years straight, and it worked out great because the kids would go to bed, and that’s when I would go to work.”

However, she eventually realized she wanted out of the rat race.

“But there came a point where I thought, I need to change my life. At the risk of a horrible cliché, that’s when I got off the merry-go-round. I didn’t want to be in my 50s and 60s looking back thinking all I’ve ever done was make records, get on a tour bus, do a bunch of TV — rinse and repeat. I wanted something more,” she continued.

What's Sheena Easton Up to These Days?

At 66, Easton is happier than ever.

“Now I drive a Prius,” she laughed. “And I like my Prius.”

She says she isn’t tempted by the extravagances of stardom and instead prefers to stay home and play video games. However, she still frequently performs.

“I’m open to different creative things,” she added. “What I’m not open to is the craziness, the almost compulsory nature of what you have to do to be a pop star. I did that once. I don’t need to do it again.”

‘Star Trek’ Actress Admits She Had a Crush on William Shatner

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 5:19pm

Former child star Pamelyn Ferdin, 67, is opening up about filming the 1968 Star Trek: The Original Series episode, "And the Children Shall Lead."

During an appearance on a March 2026 episode ofThat's Classic, Ferdin, who played Mary, shared she "loved filming" the season 3 episode. She also shared that she "had such a crush" on William Shatner, now 95, who famously played Captain James T. Kirk throughout the show's three-season run, which ended in 1969.

"I would follow him around. I would sit there in the mornings and watch him get his makeup put on and he knew that I had a crush on him because I was like his little shadow. I would follow him around," said Ferdin in the March 2026 interview.

According to Ferdin, Shatner jokingly offered to marry her and "gave [her] a little cigar band."

"He was very sweet," said Ferdin during the That's Classic interview.

Pamelyn Ferdin Spoke About Her Experiences With Leonard Nimoy and Walter Koenig on the 'Star Trek' Set

In the March 2026 That's Classic interview, Ferdin said that she had positive experiences with late Star Trekactor Leonard Nimoy, who played Mr. Spock.

"He was so neat. He was very chill. He was very quiet. He talked to me about his book on poetry that he was writing," said Ferdin.

She also said Nimoy, who died in 2015, was quite similar to his half-Vulcan counterpart.

"He just had a really chill vibe. And that's what he had as Spock, because he was like the calm person. Really calm and metaphysical," recalled Ferdin.

Ferdin also said she was amused by Walter Koenig, now 89, who played Pavel Chekov. According to Ferdin, Koenig was "a true method actor" and "kept his Russian accent on even when he was off set."

"It was really cool because I thought he was Russian," said Ferdin in the That's Classic interview.

John Green Announces Debut Adult Fiction Novel

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 5:16pm

John Green is returning to fiction after almost a decade with his first adult novel.

The author announced on Tuesday, March 31 that his debut adult fiction book titled Hollywood Ending will be published on Sept. 22, 2026. The novel follows two young actors, Kai and Juniper, as they rise to fame after being cast in an Andy Warhol biopic.

Hollywood Ending is Green's first novel in almost a decade. He has recently published two nonfiction books: The Anthropocene Reviewed: Essays on a Human-Centered Planet in 2021 and Everything is Tuberculosis: The History and Persistence of Our Deadliest Infection in 2025.

The synopsis of Hollywood Ending reads, “They’re on the verge of breaking out, and maybe even falling in love. Soon, the movie is blowing up, and so are their lives — in exciting, but also terrifying, ways — forcing them to confront the private cost of a public life."

The novel will be written in dual perspectives and will give readers “an unflinching examination of celebrity and the insatiable attention economy.”

In a statement shared with People, Green said of the novel, "I've spent the last eight years finding my way through this story, and I am so excited to share Hollywood Ending with the world. It's a book about navigating love and loss all while participating in the strange, complicated exchanges of attention and trauma of the social internet that has become something no longer reserved for movie stars alone."

Green added, “It’s been a fulfilling journey to bring Kai and Juniper to the page, and I hope it will be as satisfying for readers to meet them."

The author's longtime editor, Julie Strauss-Gabel, also said of the upcoming novel, “I can’t wait for readers to meet Kai and Juniper, and step into their Hollywood, a world unlike any other. In his extraordinary return to fiction, John has crafted a layers-deep story about two young actors trying to survive in an industry determined to flatten them into two dimensions."

Green is best known for his young adult novels Looking For Alaska, An Abundance of KatherinesPaper TownsThe Fault in Our StarsTurtles All the Way Down, and more. Several of his works have been adapted for film and television over the years.

In a video to his Youtube channel, Green shared with his fans the process of writing Hollywood Ending.

"There were many times over the years where I thought I could never publish this book, partly for personal reasons. But now it is finally ready, and I am so, so excited to share it with you," he said. "I was reminded that this is child's play. This is something I've done for fun since I was 8 years old. I love writing and I loved writing this book."

26 Years Ago Today, This Rom-Com With a 'Rock-Solid' Soundtrack Hit Theaters

Tue, 03/31/2026 - 5:12pm

He is the former heartthrob who won over audiences in hit films like Say Anything and Being John Malkovich.

But certain John Cusack fans may favor High Fidelity over all else due to its relentless entertainment and, of course, the "rock-solid soundtrack," as Rotten Tomatoes puts it.

The romantic comedy set primarily in a record store was so successful that it even spawned a reimagining series on Hulu years later, starring Zoë Kravitz. It's no wonder the late, great film critic Roger Ebert gave High Fidelity a perfect, 4 out of 4 rating upon the movie's release. Standout co-stars include Jack Black and Oscar-winner Tim Robbins.

Certain generations might still own the original film on DVD — or even VHS (!) — and Tuesday, March 31 actually marks 26 years to the day since the Cusack starrer hit U.S. theaters everywhere.

Here's the official synopsis, for those not yet familiar with the masterpiece: Rob Gordon (Cusack) is the owner of a failing record store in Chicago, where he sells music the old-fashioned way — on vinyl. Although they have an encyclopedic knowledge of pop music and are consumed by the music scene, it's of no help to Rob, whose needle skips the love groove when his long-time girlfriend, Laura (Iben Hjejle), walks out on him. As he examines his failed attempts at romance and happiness, the process finds him being dragged, kicking and screaming, into adulthood.

In reflecting on a Cusack classic like High Fidelity, fans could find themselves asking: What ever happened to the former Hollywood heartthrob? Well, in addition to keeping busy with smaller-budget features, if you happened to tune into this year's Academy Awards, the Stand By Me co-star was among the many veteran actors who stepped onto the Dolby Theater stage March 15 to pay tribute to the late filmmaking icon they once worked with: Rob Reiner.
