The 4 Birth Dates That Naturally Attract Success

Fri, 02/13/2026 - 6:11am

Have you ever wondered why some people attract success easily? The definition of success varies from person to person, but we can think of success as the accomplishment of various purposes. For some, it's financial security; for others, it’s recognition, freedom, or impact. Regardless of the zodiac sign or birth month someone is born, everyone can achieve rewards, accomplished goals, and success. But when astrology and numerology intersect, experts can explain which birth dates carry energetic signatures linked to leadership, influence, and long-term greatness. According to experts, these four dates are naturally wired to attract success—each in its own distinct way.

4 Successful Birth Dates, According to Experts

Check for your birth date. Disregard birth months.

Born on the 1st: The Leader

This number speaks for itself! Being born on the first day of the month gives you a timing advantage over those around you. Ruled by the Sun astrologically, number 1 is all about initiation and owning a pioneering spirit that is unafraid of taking the first step. You are a leader—you’re naturally charismatic and easily attract people and opportunities your way. Others often surround you because they feel motivated by your ideas and the way you illuminate new paths and possibilities. But your true advantage lies in your creativity and ability to generate new ideas. When you stick to finishing what you begin, your chances of success are enormous, so make sure to follow through, especially with the projects that are closest to your heartYour Success Tip: Trusting others and accepting support by delegating.

COSMIC INSIGHT: Saturn in Aries Begins a Karmic Three-Year Cycle—4 Zodiac Signs Are Most Affected

Born on the 8th: The Resilient Manager

If you were born on the 8th, you were born to rise to the top! In numerology, the number 8 is connected to the concept of infinity, which relates to a continuous flow of abundant energy. At a practical level, this means you have continuous access to productivity and can-do power. Your success comes from handling large projects while maintaining efficiency without feeling overwhelmed. You don’t hide from challenges—you turn them into opportunities for learning and personal or professional growth. This ambitious nature and driven mindset come from Saturn’s rulership over the number 8. Since Saturn is the celestial overseer and master teacher of this birth date, you carry leadership capabilities. You might even harness your pioneering gifts by occupying a managerial position or growing your own company. Your Success Tip: Balance drive with patience to avoid the need for control.

Born on the 18th: The Natural Born Leader

Those born on the 18th are incredibly capable individuals who are meant to be surrounded by people.  Because 1+8 equals 9, 18 responds to the rulership of Mars, the planet of action, drive, and ambition. Your warrior-like personality grants you admiration and gives you an aura of charisma that others find hard to resist. You are a hard worker, but part of your success stems from your ability to relate to people from all walks of life. It is through your interactions with those around you that you absorb a lot of your knowledge. It is your genuine understanding of others and their needs that catapults you to become their leader. Since the number 9 is one of endings and completion, in this incarnation, you’re being invited to step up and become the leader you were born to be. Your Success Tip: Protect your energy by choosing your battles wisely.

RELATE?: Your Perfect Puppy Breed, Based on Your Birth Month

Born on the 22nd: The Maverick Builder

Those born on the 22nd have incredible potential for success, as the number 22 is special from many angles. In numerology, 22 is a master number with one of the strongest vibrations, helping you overcome boundaries along the way. It is a number strongly connected to expansiveness, leadership, and confidence. Your creative and maverick-like personality comes from 22 reducing to 4, which is ruled by Uranus. Some may call you an idealist, but this is the part of you that guides you in envisioning the creation of things from a different, unique perspective. Your mind is super-charged with out-of-the-box ideas and solutions, elevating your position and setting you apart from the rest, and even your competitors. Your success is in the stars! All you need to do is embrace practicality when building your ideas to keep the process sustainable. Your Success Tip: Strive for self-mastery over perfection.

No Passport? No Problem: Why Puerto Rico Is the Absolute Coolest Place to Visit Right Now

Fri, 02/13/2026 - 6:10am

We'll give you a hint as to the destination: one of their citizens just raked in the most views ever for a Super Bowl performance. Yep, you've guessed it, it's Puerto Rico. You'd have to be living under a rock to not see the cultural explosion Puerto Rico is having right now. According to Storm Tussey, Chief Marketing Officer at Discover Puerto Rico, the shift is felt everywhere. "It’s such an exciting time for the Island. We say that Puerto Rico isn’t just having a moment. It’s a global cultural powerhouse."

According to Google, searches about the US Territory are exploding right now. Since Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Performance, Google searches for “Travel to Puerto Rico” have jumped 20%, while searches for “Puerto Rico passport requirements" are up 130%.

Not only is travel to this beautiful Caribbean island easier than ever for most US citizens (thanks to the fact you don't need a passport and many major cities are offering non-stop flights), it's also extremely affordable. As an avid traveler who has spent time in almost every single Caribbean island (and 70+ countries around the world!), Puerto Rico holds such a large spot of my heart due to the incredible hospitality, the rich and undeniably delicious cuisine and the beaches that rival that of Aruba and Turks and Caicos. Here's why you need to book that trip to this island now, before the masses realize just how special it is.

Puerto Rico’s Cultural Moment Is Everywhere Right Now

Getty

The clearest sign Puerto Rico just hit a new level of mainstream attention is the question people started asking the internet right after the halftime show: “Do I need a passport?” That question alone tells you what kind of traveler is paying attention, the one who hasn’t been, the one who has been thinking it might be fun to visit, and the one who’s only now realizing the island is only a few hour flight from most US cities. And the answer matters, too: for U.S. citizens, Puerto Rico is a domestic trip, no passport required.

From the sugar cane field backdrops to the appearances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, the 13-minute set was a masterclass in 'Boricua' pride, pushing the island into the living rooms of people who might not follow Latin music closely but absolutely recognize a cultural headline when they see it. "We owe so much of the excitement on the island to our music, of course, with icons like Bad Bunny, who just made history with his halftime performance, and artists like Rauw Alejandro, Young Miko, and the incredible RaiNao who are redefining the genre," Tussey said.

And once Puerto Rico is on someone’s radar, it sticks, because the culture isn’t a sidebar like some other neighboring islands. It’s as loud and vibrant as Mr. Bunny himself. This is an island where music and food and history are lived experiences that are apparent from the moment you step off the plane. And, if you’re the kind of traveler who wants to feel plugged into a place instead of hovering above it, Puerto Rico has been waiting.

Why Visit Now

Getty

Puerto Rico has the feeling of a true getaway without the extra logistics, especially if you’re coming from the U.S. mainland: it’s a domestic flight, and U.S. citizens do not need a passport to travel there. It’s also an easy trip for literally any type of getaway, from family trips to girls getaways to honeymoons.

For 2026, there's even more new reasons to go, starting with new and upcoming hotel openings like the newly opened Hyatt Centric San Juan Isla Verde and multiple Hilton projects in the pipeline, including a dual-brand Hampton by Hilton and Homewood Suites tower in San Juan’s Convention District and other openings planned around the island.

On the food side, 2026 is celebrating another year of Puerto Rico's Wine and Food Festival in San Juan (April 23–26, 2026), limited-time cultural programming like ArteYunque in El Yunque running into July 2026, and outdoorsy day trips that should be back on the table as the Río Camuy Cave Park is expected to reopen in 2026.

Where to Stay

Condado Vanderbilt

Choosing the right hotel in Puerto Rico is all based on the vibes you want to have, to be Gen-z about it. If you're looking for classic San Juan with a beachy, walkable base with a mix of old-school glamour, stay at the Condado Vanderbilt. It’s a historic icon, which opened in 1919, and is known for its dining and oceanfront views. If you want to open your door and immediately be in Old San Juan’s bustling and lively streets and plazas, Hotel El Convento puts you right there.

If you're more of a resort person who craves easy beach access and inclusive activities and programming, Fairmont El San Juan in Isla Verde is that easy yes, especially if your plan involves sipping cocktails by the pool. And if you want the quiet, high-end version of Puerto Rico, head west of San Juan toward Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, which leans secluded and restorative, with an award-winning spa and breathtaking views.

Where to Eat

Getty

You'd have to look to find a bad meal in San Juan, as the city is busting at the seams with incredible food inspired by it's Caribbean location and deep, Latin heritage. "The culinary scene is where you can truly taste the momentum. "We’ve had a surge of James Beard recognition recently as well, including a celebratory nod to Natalia Vallejo (Cocina al Fondo), our first-ever James Beard winner," Tussey said.

One of the best ways to get a quick taste of some of the island's classics is with an Old San Juan walking food tour with Spoon, where you'll sample things like pernil, slow-roasted pork shoulder, usually seasoned with garlic, oregano and adobo-style spices, as well as samplings of empanadas and local cocktails. For another great San Juan meal, book Vianda in Santurce and start with almojábanas, which are crispy rice-flour fritters stuffed with fresh cheese (a classic, very Puerto Rican way to start the meal). You also have to sip a famed Coquito, a drink made with rum, coconut milk/cream, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk and warm spices like cinnamon, which was just named the best alcoholic mixed drink in the world by Taste Atlas. "This drink is our holiday staple, but our bartenders like Nicky Fas (Pantera)  & Stephen Alsono (Identitad Cocktail Bar) are elevating Island spirits year-round," Tussey said.

Outside the city, make time for Guavate in Cayey, home to the famous Ruta del Lechón, and order lechón (whole-roasted pork, chopped to order) with arroz con gandules (rice cooked with pigeon peas) and, if you want to go full local, add morcilla (Puerto Rican blood sausage) or cuerito (crispy pork skin). Further East, in Juncos, is Bacoa Finca + Fogón, famous for the branzino, a mild white fish cooked over an open flame and served simply so the smoky, charred flavor shines. Tussey suggests going on a culinary road trip, of sorts, to really ground yourself best in the flavors that make Puerto Rico so speical.

"We are the ultimate road trip destination, and the best way to truly "Live Boricua" is to follow the chinchorreo mindset these are our nomadic food trips where you hop from one small, family-owned stand to the next, tasting the soul of the Island through its local flavors," Tussey said.

What to Do

el-morro-castillo-castle-san-felipe

Start early in Old San Juan and make the forts your first stop, since Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Castillo San Cristóbal ground you in the storied history of the island. You can cover both with a San Juan National Historic Site pass (valid for 24 hours) before the midday heat hits. From there, book a guided walking history tour (or a food-focused walking tour, see above) to orient yourself with the city.

Getty

Whatever you do, don't miss El Yunque, Puerto Rico's vast and beautiful rainforest. To get there, you can either rent a car or book a guided excursion with transportation, since rideshare apps are not permitted in the forest; also check current conditions the morning you go because entry can close when capacity is reached and weather shifts fast.

On the water, plan one glow-in-the-dark night. Laguna Grande in Fajardo is the easiest from San Juan and you’ll want to reserve a kayak tour in advance, while Mosquito Bay in Vieques is the bucket-list version if you can swing the extra logistics. On these tours, you'll paddle and swim with bioluminescence, which is the natural glow created when tiny microorganisms in the water, mostly dinoflagellates, light up when the water is disturbed.

"Experiences like the Bioluminescent Bays and El Yunque Bio Foliage tours are bucket-list for a reason. Book them well in advance to ensure you don't miss out on those once-in-a-lifetime moments," Tussey said.

For beaches worthy of the 'Gram, hit Flamenco Beach on Culebra and, if you have the time and a boat plan, add Culebrita for that uninhabited-island day, getting there via the Ceiba ferry to Vieques or Culebra. Just buy tickets in advance, and check real-time schedule updates through the Puerto Rico Ferry site and City Experiences app.

One of the Greatest Love Songs of All Time Came From This Electrifying ’80s Pairing

Fri, 02/13/2026 - 5:31am

When two of the music industry's most electrifying performers joined forces in 1987, the result was an electrifying duet that not only topped the charts but cemented its place among the most celebrated love songs in pop music history.

Penned by Simon Climie and Dennis Morgan, “I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)” was initially offered to Tina Turner as a solo track. But after legendary producer Clive Davis heard the song, he steered it in a bold new direction that would ultimately make it a historic duet between Aretha Franklin and George Michael.

The Harvard Gazette cited the tune among a list of the greatest love songs of all time, as picked by faculty and administrators. Andrew Clark, the University's Director of Choral Activities and Senior Lecturer on Music, chose the Michael and Franklin duet.

Clark explained why he picked this particular song. “There’s this short and repetitive electric bass hook, and it has this feeling of persistence and inevitability that nothing can stop you from finding your love. There’s something about the song that taps into when you’re first falling in love with someone — that serotonin and dopamine overload."

He continued, "It has this ’80s, almost naive optimism that’s sort of euphoric. As they’re singing this duet, they’re often in unison as well as being in harmony. The song weaves in and out of unity but allows each of their two voices and ideas to shine.”

Michael wrote about his experience recording this unforgettable song in his book, Bare. "Nobody can emulate Aretha Franklin," he said. "It's stupid to try. I just tried to stay in character, keep it simple - it was very understated in comparison to what she did."

Franklin shared details of the making of the video with the Wham! superstar in a late 1986 interview with MTV News. "We did a duo. He came out to Detroit. We had some of the best ribs in the country, he likes barbecue, and we had a great time."

“I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)” climbed to No. 5 on the Billboard charts in April 1987, adding another milestone to Aretha Franklin’s legendary career, which included 18 Grammy wins. The song also earned George Michael his first Grammy, taking home Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal at the 30th annual awards.

EPCOT’s Frozen Ever After Reopens: Is the 100-Minute Wait Worth It?

Fri, 02/13/2026 - 5:10am

If you were hoping for a quiet morning stroll through EPCOT’s World Showcase this week, the Norway Pavilion had other plans. Following a weeks-long refurbishment that began in late January, Frozen Ever After officially reopened Thursday morning, triggering a surge of guests that reached "holiday peak" levels before most had finished their first cup of Joffrey’s coffee.

According to Inside the Magic blog, the attraction saw standby wait times instantly rival the busiest weeks of the year. By 9:15 a.m. on opening day, the queue had already hit 95 minutes, with the line stretching past China and deep into the Africa outpost. It’s a level of congestion that demands a strategic pivot for anyone visiting EPCOT this month—especially as we head into the high-demand Presidents' Day weekend.

A High-Tech Face Lift

The frenzy isn't just due to the ride’s general popularity. Disney has finally addressed a long-standing critique of the 2016 attraction: the projection-based facial animations. While the original tech was groundbreaking at the time, it was prone to glitches that pulled guests out of the story.

The centerpiece of this update is the transition to fully articulated Audio-Animatronic figures for Anna, Elsa and Kristoff. Per reporting from Inside the Magic, these figures now feature silicone skin and more lifelike movements—utilizing high-fidelity technology similar to that found in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. While the lovable Olaf has always featured a physical face, the overall upgrade brings the Florida experience in line with the "next-gen" standard set by international parks. Disney Imagineering’s Ken Riccitold the blog that the updated Elsa is "chilling" in her realism, noting that she now looks as though she stepped directly off the cinema screen.

The Global "Frozen" Expansion

This refresh comes at a pivotal moment for the franchise. While EPCOT fans are enjoying these upgrades now, the "Gold Standard" of Arendelle is about to debut overseas. On March 29, Disneyland Paris will officially rebrand its second park as Disney Adventure World, anchored by the grand opening of its own World of Frozen land. That expansion will feature its own version of the boat ride, along with a highly anticipated "free-roaming" robotic Olaf that has already been making waves in Hong Kong.

The Travel Editor’s Strategy: Is It Worth the Wait?

Beyond the character upgrades, the refurbishment also touched up show lighting and set pieces, making the "Let It Go" sequence feel more vibrant than it has in years. While the storyline remains identical to the 2016 version, the visual polish makes the experience feel like a "no notes" modern masterpiece once again.

However, from an editorial perspective, a 100-minute standby wait is a significant investment of "vacation equity." For those who prioritize a seamless experience, the smart play is to treat this as a high-priority Lightning Lane selection. Be aware that Disney’s dynamic pricing is reflecting this surge; for today, February 13, EPCOT’s Multi Pass has climbed to $32, a notable jump from earlier this week. The Lightning Lane Premier Pass (the "skip everything" option) for EPCOT tomorrow has also climbed to $249 due to the Frozen reopening and holiday crowds.

If you're staying on-site, leveraging Early Theme Park Entry is essential to avoid these costs. The upgrades are a legitimate triumph of Imagineering, but they are best enjoyed when you aren't sacrificing your entire afternoon to a line that stretches across three countries.

While Frozen Ever After lacks a Single Rider option, solo travelers can still save time elsewhere in the park; both Test Track and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure offer dedicated Single Rider lanes that can cut your wait to a fraction of the posted standby time

So, are you willing to wait 100 minutes for the new Elsa animatronics, or are you headed to France to see the recently refreshed 2D visuals at Remy's Ratatouille Adventure instead?

A dream is a wish your heart makes, and for fans of the Bath & Body Works x Disney Princess collection, your dreams have come true. Bath & Body Works just released its 2026 version of the collection, and it includes new princess fragrances along with the return of two beloved princess scents. Parade got a first-person try of some of the items from the launch, and we have our honest opinions to help you choose which scent works best for your tastes.

The original Disney Princess collection debuted last February, with scents representing six princesses: Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Moana and Tiana. Then, in August 2025, they launched their Disney Villains collection, which included scents inspired by the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty

Now they’re back with an expansion to their line. On Feb. 11, they launched their new Bath & Body Works x Disney Princess collection, which brings back Belle and Tiana’s fragrances from the first launch and adds five new Disney Princess-inspired fragrances.

We have the rundown of what to expect from this launch, which goes on sale to the public Feb. 13. We’re sharing our 12 favorites from the new Bath & Body Works x Disney Princess 2026 collection, along with what they smell like in person. Read on to see the magical scents and products!

What’s in the New 2026 Bath & Body Works x Disney Princess Collection?

This enchanting new expansion to the Disney Princess BBW collection includes five new fragrances, as we mentioned above. The back of almost every product includes three attributes associated with the character as well (or, in the case of Life’s a Fairytale, characteristics of what the scent is meant to represent). These include:

  • Aurora: Graceful, loyal and thoughtful — “Soft rose petals, sandalwood dreams and sparkling fairy dust.”
  • Mulan: Determined, loyal and clever — “Magnolia blossom, fierce waters and radiant apricot.”
  • Rapunzel: Creative, spirited and positive — “Glowing sundrop flower, rich nectar and golden musk.”
  • Snow White: “Mystic red apple, ripened fruits and enchanted woods.”
  • Life’s a Fairytale: Loyal, brave and true — “Charming berries, floral fairytale and kingdom woods.”

These scents are available to purchase in Bath & Body Works’ classic product offerings: body wash, hand cream, hand sanitizer, fine fragrance mist and more. The prices range from $1.95 (for a PocketBac hand sanitizer) to $125 (for the Castle Candle Pedestal).

Speaking of, there are also collectibles you can purchase as part of this new collection. These include:

  • Life’s a Fairytale Keepsake Music Box
  • Gold All Princess Backpack
  • Castle 3-Wick Pedestal
  • Aurora 3-Wick Pedestal
  • Rapunzel Coin Purse
  • Mulan Wallflowers Diffuser

In total, there are 92 product formats available in this line, between the five new scents, the two returning ones and all of the products they come in.

What Disney Princess scents are returning to Bath & Body Works in 2026?

On that note, the two returning fragrances from 2025’s Disney Princess collection are:

  • Belle: “Rose petals, sparkling buttercup and whipped vanilla.”
  • Tiana: “Delicate water lily and gilded amber accented by shimmering bayou woods.”

These are clearly fan-favorites the first time around, so if you missed them or are itching to stock up on more, this is your chance.

Our 12 Favorite Products in the New Bath & Body Works x Disney Princess 2026 Collection1. Aurora Body Wash, $16.95 at Bath & Body Works

Courtesy Alani Vargas

Graceful, loyal and thoughtful — Fragrance notes: “Soft rose petals, sandalwood dreams and sparkling fairy dust.”

This scent is that perfect mix of floral and something slightly sweet. Maybe that’s the fairy dust? Jokes aside, I am someone who loves a rose fragrance and a sandalwood one, so it’s almost like this was created in a lab for people like me. The muskiness of the sandalwood does not overpower the feminine scent of the flowers.

If you’re a fan of a slightly sweet rose, woody scent, as well as BBW’s body washes, then you’re going to eat this right up.

2. Aurora PocketBac Hand Sanitizer, $1.95 at Bath & Body Works

Courtesy Alani Vargas

This has the same fragrance notes, and for some reason (maybe it’s the alcohol in the hand sanitizer), the rose really comes through in this version more than in the body wash. Which is super fitting for a princess who went by "Briar Rose" most of her life. And I’m okay with the slight change in the scent, too! There’s just less of a balance, which I think is common with hand sanitizers. Still a very lovely and unique rose fragrance to have on when you need to quickly clean your hands.

3. Aurora Crown PocketBac Holder, $10.95 at Bath & Body Works

Courtesy Alani Vargas

This gorgeous yellow gold Pocketbac holder is shaped like Aurora’s crown, with light pink jewels and roses engraved on it. And it has a little charm at the top in the shape of a heart, with colorful engravings of the three good fairies—Flora, Fauna and Merryweather—in it. A must for any Sleeping Beauty fan.

4. Mulan Gentle & Clean Foaming Hand Soap, $8.95 at Bath & Body Works

Courtesy Alani Vargas

Determined, loyal and clever — Fragrance notes: “Magnolia blossom, fierce waters and radiant apricot.”

This scent smells fresh and clean, which is perfect for a foaming hand soap fragrance. It definitely fits in with the category of fresh and floral hand soaps, so in the vein of something like Fresh Cut Lilacs, Lavender Bergamot or White Tea & Sage. Definitely a lovely choice for your bathroom in the spring (or any time of year, really).

5. Mulan Diamond Shimmer Mist, $18.95 at Bath & Body Works

Courtesy Alani Vargas

This has the same fragrance notes listed above, it’s just sometimes hard to smell around the alcohol on some of the mists. But once you spray it on a surface, the blossom and apricot smells really come through nicely. The “fierce waters” in this fragrance also still give it a clean feel as well.

Since this is a Diamond Shimmer Mist, you can expect not just an intoxicating smell, but a gorgeous shimmer finish to your skin after spraying it. The “color” of this shimmer is very silvery, and that makes it almost blend into the white paper I sprayed it on. The same goes for my skin. After it dried down, it covered every centimeter of skin I sprayed it on, but it didn’t all shimmer at once. Instead, it gave such a nice glistening shimmer with every way I moved my arm. So, I’d say it gives a good amount of shimmer, but is still somewhat subtle.

6. Rapunzel Ultimate Hydration Body Cream, $18.95 at Bath & Body Works

Courtesy Alani Vargas

Creative, spirited and positive — Fragrance notes: “Glowing sundrop flower, rich nectar and golden musk.”

I don’t know how they did it, but the Rapunzel scent succeeds in smelling like “warmth.” But not the cozy kind, the spring and summer kind that reminds you of sun; I guess the “golden musk” is really doing its thing with this fragrance. Thanks to the flower and rich nectar in this scent, you don’t get a beachy vibe but more of a "bright" vibe.

As with all of Bath & Body Works’ body creams, this one doesn’t disappoint. It hydrates and covers your skin well while delivering a strong dose of the fragrance, and the morning after I used this after a night shower I was still reaping the benefits of this scent.

7. Rapunzel Lip Gloss, $8.95 at Bath & Body Works

Courtesy Alani Vargas

With the same fragrance notes, this one smells slightly more vanilla-y, maybe thanks to the nectar coming through more. You still get that warm smell though—again, not like a summery fragrance, per se, but just something sunny and bright.

The consistency is very smooth and wet, with a clear color. It’s also pretty hydrating and gives a nice sheen that can be as subtle or dewy as you’d like, depending on how much you apply.

8. Snow White Wallflowers Fragrance Refill, $7.95 at Bath & Body Works

Courtesy Alani Vargas

Fragrance notes: “Mystic red apple, ripened fruits and enchanted woods.”

Apple is a scent that is often used in fall fragrances, and although it doesn’t always invoke that vibe, it often can. But in the Snow White fragrance, you definitely get more of a fresh apple smell that feels fruity and not “autumnal.” Which is absolutely what they were going for.

Along with the apple, the “ripened fruits” really add to the fresh and almost floral fragrance. It’s not sweet, but has a nice vibe. There isn’t a ton of “woods” in this scent, at least not in the concentrated formula used for the Wallflower plug refill. But I think that works to keep it very springy and clean.

9. Snow White Nightlight Wallflower Fragrance Plug, $19.95 at Bath & Body Works

To pair with the Snow White Wallflower plug refill, you have a bright red apple at the center of this Snow White-themed Wallflower plug. At first glance, it looks like something that could be for teachers, because it’s a classic cartoon apple front and center. But it’s definitely more than that.

Right in the middle of the apple is a transparent red bow—very similar to the one on Snow White’s headband—with gold ribbons coming out of either side. And you have two metallic blue birds holding them up as they’re mid-flight. To top it off, there's a luscious green leaf coming out of the top, along with a gold stem. Overall, this is gorgeous and perfect for any Snow White fan (and, you know what? Teachers will eat this up too).

10. Life’s a Fairytale Fine Fragrance Mist, $18.95 at Bath & Body Works

Courtesy Alani Vargas

Loyal, brave and true — Fragrance notes: “Charming berries, floral fairytale and kingdom woods.”

I was the most intrigued by this scent since it kind of smells familiar to me. Regardless, it’s a very lovely smell. The berries don’t make it too sweet, and the “floral fairytale” scent mixes well to create something very wearable as a fragrance mist or perfume. That might also be because the “kingdom woods” adds a bit of that woody, natural scent.

Regardless, this feels kind of a somewhat mature scent that’s very feminine and fun.

With the same fragrance notes, this has a very similar scent. But of course, without the alcohol from the fragrance mist, you get more of the actual fragrance, which is a sweet berry smell with a woody undertone.

It’s quite a bit sweeter than the mist, but for someone like me who can’t really stand sweet fragrances, it’s “saved” by the woody scent mixed in. This is definitely a spring-ready candle fragrance that will have your house smelling clean, fruity and something that kind of reminds you of nature.

And let's take a moment for the gorgeous lid on this candle! It's a thick glass lid that takes a little more effort than normal to remove (since it has a thicker silicone grip keeping it in place). The outside of the lid is lined in gold metal, the same kind that makes up the pretty bow in the middle. Truly a gorgeous piece just to look at, let alone light.

12. Disney Princess Royal Lamp, $34.95 at Bath & Body Works

When I opened this lamp candle holder, I was struck by how gorgeous it was. It’s a soft yellow gold with a metal body and stand. It’s all one color, yet the carvings and patterns of the metal design are anything but boring.

The first thing I noticed about this candle holder is that it had Rapunzel’s sun images in the pattern of its metal carvings. Then I noticed the rose carvings on the bottom, for Aurora, and the shell carving on the top for Ariel. There are also large oval openings on three sides, potentially depicting the magical mirror in Snow White or just the style of classic Disney Princess decor (gilded and ornate moldings, etc.). There’s also a fan for Mulan, a teapot for Belle, vibes for Cinderella (her pumpkin carriage) and an apple for Snow White. (And there are most likely details I’m missing!)

Courtesy Alani Vargas

I’ve also never had a candle holder that has an elevated base inside and sides that curve inward towards the top. This gives the illusion that the 3-wick candle holder you place inside is floating, really evoking a “lamp” vibe. This isn’t a “typical” 3-wick candle holder, but it’s also not astronomical in price compared to other holders Bath & Body Works sells. So it’s definitely worth the price if this is in your aesthetic and vibe.

Beloved ’80s Rock Band’s Album That Changed Everything Turns 50

Fri, 02/13/2026 - 5:04am

The album that completely redefined the career of rock legend Genesis, A Trick of the Tail, officially came out 50 years ago as it celebrates its anniversary on Feb. 13.

Genesis' seventh studio album came out on Feb. 13, 1976, and it was a major moment for the group, as it was the first release since member Peter Gabriel left the band. Phil Collins, originally the group's drummer, stepped up to become the lead singer after a search for a new singer was unsuccessful.

Luckily, the risky move paid off, as the album changed the trajectory of Genesis and welcomed in a bold second act for the group's career.

Along with Collins, the group consisted of Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, and Steve Hackett, and the band intended to use this record as a way to prove that Genesis could go on without Gabriel and keep making great music. Many critics thought the band would fail, but the success of A Trick of the Tail and later albums proved them wrong.

A Trick of the Tail was a huge success, reaching the third position on the U.K. Official Albums Chart. It also became the group's first debut on the Billboard Hot 200 chart around a month after its release, peaking at 31.

The album had eight songs in total, including "Dance on a Volcano," "Entangled," "Squonk," "Mad Man Mood," "Robbery, Assault and Battery," "Ripples...," "Los Endos," and the title track. While all four members contributed to songs on A Trick of the Tail, Banks had the most writing credits, working on every song.

Along with introducing a bold new era of sound for the group, Genesis' 1976 album also presented a big question for Collins. After the album came out, the drummer had to decide whether or not he would fully embrace the role of frontman and allow someone else to play the drums during live concerts.

While Collins was hesitant, he finally accepted the role of lead singer for the following tour, with Bill Bruford joining on drums, although Collins still played drums during sections that didn't include vocals. His choice also helped build his reputation as a fantastic vocalist, leading to his successful solo career years later.

10 Best Caribbean 'Micro-Cruises' for 2026: Quick Weekend Tropical Escapes

Fri, 02/13/2026 - 4:10am

By mid-February, the novelty of winter has officially worn off. With five-foot snow drifts burying the Northeast and a relentless cycle of storms keeping us indoors, the "get me out of here" urge is at an all-time high. But you don’t need a two-week itinerary to find a total state of zen; in 2026, the smartest travel move is the Micro-Cruise.

These three- and four-day "quickie" escapes are designed to fit perfectly into a long weekend. In fact, 2026 data from AAA shows that while 65% of cruise passengers are 55 or older, they are increasingly ditching the long-haul voyages for these high-impact "Me-kends"—shorter trips that serve as a quick mood-booster without the stress of a week-long commitment. It’s the ultimate way to swap the shovel for a sea breeze on a Friday afternoon and be back in time for Monday's routine, feeling like you’ve actually had a vacation.

Ready to trade the parka for a poolside lounger? Here are 10 of the best micro-cruises to book for a quick spring reset (pulled February 2026).

Why You Can Trust Our Recommendations

To curate this list of 2026 micro-cruises, our editors analyzed over 100+ short-haul itineraries from major Caribbean carriers. We prioritized ships that have undergone recent dry-dock renovations (like the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise), calculated the best value-per-night based on current 2026 market pricing and selected ships that provide a 'resort-style' experience in under four days. While 2026 AAA travel forecasts highlight the booming popularity of the Caribbean in general, our specific picks are chosen for their unique balance of amenities and itinerary efficiency

Fri, 02/13/2026 - 3:25am

Even at the world's biggest sporting event, there are moments that make fans stop scrolling and smile. Athletes are preparing to compete at the highest level, but some unexpected features in the Milan Olympic Village are causing a stir for a different reason. The dining hall at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan has introduced a massive, pump-style dispenser filled with Nutella. This chocolate-hazelnut spread has become a highlight for Olympians, who are sharing their reactions online as they scoop generous amounts onto toast, croissants and pancakes. While Milan is hosting athletes from around the world, the Nutella pump has captured attention just as much as the competitions themselves, drawing fans into the culinary side of the Olympic experience.

For years, Nutella has been a global favorite, sold in more than 160 countries and consumed at an astonishing rate of a jar every few seconds. Its creamy texture and sweet flavor make it versatile, perfect for breakfast, snacks and dessert creations.

At the Olympic Village, the oversized pump gives athletes an indulgent treat to refuel, socialize and even grab a little comfort amid the intensity of competition. Social media posts from Olympians, like Australian freestyle skier Daisy Thomas, have made the pump a viral sensation, showing off just how much fun athletes are having with this playful addition.

Why Fans Can't Stop Talking About It

Beyond the novelty of a giant Nutella dispenser, the feature highlights how the Milan Olympic Village caters to athletes with high-quality, enjoyable dining experiences. Olympians rely on balanced meals to perform at their peak, but having a whimsical indulgence like Nutella provides a moment of joy and energy. Fans around the world are loving the sneak peeks into the cafeteria, and videos of athletes pumping chocolate-hazelnut spread onto golden croissants or toast are racking up thousands of views.

While the dispenser is currently exclusive to food service locations like the Olympic Village (not in Costco yet, as some commenters are begging for), it underscores Nutella's place as a cultural icon and its ability to make even the most elite sporting environment a little more fun.

'The Pitt': What Is a Pulmonary Hemorrhage, and How Does Liver Failure Cause It? Louie's Death, Explained

Fri, 02/13/2026 - 12:25am

If there are two things The Pitt has proven it excels at, it's tugging on our heartstrings and introducing us to horrifying new medical maladies.

This week's episode managed to do both when the writers killed off a beloved frequent flyer in the emergency room at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center in a very traumatic way. Louie Cloverfield, a recurring character since the very first episode of the hit new series from HBO, returned for Season 2 with complaints of a toothache and ascites, or a retention of fluids in his abdomen.

While the ER staff were successfully able to drain his excess fluid, which was a symptom of liver failure that was caused by his history of alcohol abuse, Louie suddenly stopped breathing, and his heart had stopped beating. As this week's episode commenced, Dr. Langdon called a code for Louie and initiated CPR. But, after intubating him, the breathing tube suddenly filled with blood, which Dr. Robby blamed on a pulmonary hemorrhage before pronouncing him deceased.

What Is a Pulmonary Hemorrhage?

A pulmonary hemorrhage is the medical term for severe bleeding in the lungs or airway, and is caused by injury or inflammation in the respiratory tissue. Pulmonary hemorrhage can be fatal, especially if it is of a large size, as it can prevent both adequate ventilation—aka breathing—and gas exchange, which means enough oxygen is not being transported throughout the body.

In Louie's case, the blood was "filling up his lungs" enough to start backing up in his breathing tube after he was intubated. It came pouring out of the end when they tried to suction it and left the front of his body covered in blood.

'The Pitt' left fans in tears just moments into this week's episode.

How Does a Pulmonary Hemorrhage Relate to Liver Failure?

While Dana and her nursing student, Emma, stood in the doorway and watched the code team try to resuscitate Louie, the charge nurse leaned over to her young shadow and explained he was suffering a "pulmonary hemorrhage from liver failure."

But, how do problems with your liver cause bleeding in your lungs?

Well, one complication of liver disease is called portal hypertension, which is high blood pressure originating in the liver's vascular system. According to the Mayo Clinic, this increased pressure happens because cirrhosis, or scarring of the liver, slows the speed of the flow of blood through the organ.

In rare cases, according to the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine, portal hypertension can cause pulmonary hypertension in a "grim" condition known as portopulmonary hypertension. Though the cause is not well understood, the journal reports a "poor prognosis" for patients suffering from the condition.

High blood pressure can damage blood vessels over time, according to the Mayo Clinic, leaving them weaker and more prone to rupture. If the blood vessels in the lungs rupture, it can lead to a life-threatening pulmonary hemorrhage, as was the case for Louie.

Fans Weren't Prepared for Louie's Unexpected Loss

Louie's sudden death left fans a sobbing "mess" just minutes into this week's episode, with one even having to take a moment and "pause the Pitt stream to reflect" after the frequent flyer patient passed.

Meanwhile, we're still waiting on any concrete updates regarding the condition of Debbie Cohen, the septic waitress with a diagnosis "worse than MRSA." We can only handle so much loss, so here's hoping she pulls through.

'90s Metal Band Announces Update on 2026 U.S. Tour

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 11:54pm

Apocalyptica and The Hu are hitting the road this summer, and the Finnish metal cellist trio is making the tour even more memorable for fans. The band just announced that VIP packages are officially on sale for select United States tour dates.

The co-headlining tour was announced on Monday, along with the news that Finnish band, The Rasmus, will be opening for both hands on the summer 2026 tour, which begins in May.

Ticket pre-sales have been live since Wednesday, while general ticket sales begin Friday at 10 a.m. local time. VIP Meet & Greet packages are now available for purchase for headline shows across the country via Apocalyptica's official site.

VIP Meet & Greet packages include a ticket to the show, the opportunity to meet Apocalyptica and take a photo, an autographed lithograph, exclusive VIP merchandise pack, commemorative VIP laminate and lanyard, the chance to shop for merch without large crowds, and early entry into the venue.

View this post on Instagram

Neither Apocalyptica nor The Hu are your everyday metal bands; they both utilize symphonic and traditional instruments that aren't typically found in the heavy metal genre. While both bands are outliers on their own, they make perfect sense to co-headline a tour, offering fans the rare chance to see both acts side by side.

Apocalyptica was formed in 1993 by four classically trained cellists as a Metallica tribute act before they ultimately switched to performing original pieces. The band began to incorporate standard metal instruments into their arrangements, including drums and vocals. To date, the band has released 10 studio albums.
