Fast Food CEO Gives Away $1.5 Million After ‘We Really Screwed It Up’ Moment
Sometimes, if a great deal feels too great, it just might be.
That's exactly what Five Guys CEO Jerry Murrell learned after the burger chain's 40th anniversary buy-one-get-one-free promotion spiraled into full-blown chaos—and ended with him writing 1,500 checks to make it right.
The February 17 BOGO event was meant to be a celebration. Instead, it became a lesson in underestimating the American appetite for a free burger. Stores ran out of food, lines stretched out the door, and workers were left completely overwhelmed trying to keep up with demand that blew past anyone's expectations.
"I always think it's funny when people go to sales. I never thought they worked. We tried this one, buy one, get one free. Holy smokes. I couldn't believe all the people that jumped on that," Murrell told Fortune on Wednesday, March 25. "I thought maybe increased sales like 20 percent or something—that was like 130 percent. So I felt I screwed up."
The 82-year-old CEO didn't sugarcoat it. "I didn't want anybody shooting me in the back or anything after the first day, because we really screwed it up. We had no idea that we were going to get that kind of response," he admitted.
😋😋SIGN UP to get delicious recipes, handy kitchen hacks & more in our daily Pop Kitchen newsletter🍳🍔
To compensate the staff who bore the brunt of it, Murrell distributed $1.5 million in bonuses—$1,000 checks sent to every store affected. He also revealed money came from funds he'd set aside to buy his wife a fur coat. "She still looks at me like I'm stupid," he said. "But I thought it was worth it. They worked so hard. They were so overwhelmed."
Five Guys also issued a public mea culpa, acknowledging that customers visited "in overwhelming numbers" and that they simply "weren't ready." The chain promised a do-over—a second BOGO event dubbed the "40th After Party" ran from March 9 to 12, and by all accounts, it went smoothly.
Murrell, true to form, rewarded staff again. "The crew did good that day, because they were prepared, but they worked so hard that I thought, now I better give them a bonus," he said.
Carole Radziwill Shares Shocking Way She Found Out About 'Love Story' Following Finale
While Real Housewives of New York star Carole Radziwill may be more known these days as a Bravo fixture, her former life and connection to the famed Kennedy family has resurfaced following the release of Love Story, the FX series depicting the lives of her friends John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette.
Radziwill, who was married into the Kennedy family as her husband, Anthony, was the son of Jackie Kennedy's sisterLee Radziwill, spoke with the New York Times, about how her friendship with Bessette, her tragic death, along with the death of her husband—who was also depicted on the show—has become magnified more than ever due to the hit series.
Bessette and Kennedy, whose meeting, marriage, and life overall became major tabloid fodder in the 90s, died in a plane crash in July of 1999. Anthony, Kennedy's first cousin, died of cancer less than two months after.

"Defending Carolyn and talking about my husband was a hill I was going to die on," she told the Times in a 2025 conversation published on Friday. "But honestly I didn't think 25 years later it would become a mountain."
In fact, the 62-year-old shared that she first found out about the series when an actor auditioning for the role of her late husband asked her for footage or recordings of him to use as prep material.
The FX series, produced by Ryan Murphy, has captivated viewers not only due to the high profile story but by contributing to the resurgence of 90s fashion, as Bessette worked for Calvin Kine when she met Kennedy.

For Carole though, the depiction of her late friend, whom she met in 1992 during a Hamptons weekend, according to the Times, goes beyond any headline or trend.
"We had a lot in common in the weirdest ways," Radziwill said. "I was a worker, she was a worker."
And as for when her husband became sick, Radziwill mentioned that Bessette was a major support system.
"She would just be my rock, she was there for me all the time," she added.
The Love Story finale aired on Thursday on FX and is streaming on Hulu.

1955 Classic Was a No. 1 Hit 71 Years Ago Today
On this day in 1956, Picnic, Columbia Pictures’ classic romantic drama spent outdoors in the company of the gorgeous Kim Novak and charming William Holden, was tops at the box office. And it’s easy to see why: Spring was springing. Grassy fields and sunny gatherings were calling. And the desire for blossoming romances was peaking.
That’s about how we feel right now, too. The weather’s warmer. The days are longer. And there’s no better place to kick off festival season than in Small Town, Kansas, where Midwest revelers are attending an annual riverbank picnic and moonlit dance.
View this post on InstagramThe Oscar-winning film begins on Labor Day 1955, with Hal, a twentysomething drifter, arriving in town to visit an old college buddy. It’s here where he meets Madge, a 19-year-old country girl and the girlfriend of his pal. Sparks fly between Madge and Hal as they share a dance and a stolen kiss, igniting a whirlwind of romance, misunderstandings, and drama that upends the lives of all involved.
Novak, who was just 22 to Holden’s 37 at the time, gave fans insight into the chemistry popping on the screen between her and her co-star during that infamous dance scene. Speaking with CBS Sunday Morning in 2020, she shared that the weather played a huge role in the couple catching fire, as a tornado was headed straight to where they were filming.
“The electricity in the air had so much to do with all that we were feeling,” Novak said. “And we were both charged with all that energy that was out there.”
In the scene, Madge wears a blushing off-the-shoulder number that complements her soft amber waves. Hal, looking handsome and relaxed in what’s left of a three-piece, has his shirt sleeves rolled up and tie hanging loose. It’s a look that’s just waiting to be torn off -- which is exactly what happens. But far be it from us to spoil the moment further.
The “Moonglow” dance, now considered one of the most iconic scenes in cinematic history, was soundtracked by a classic mash-up written by George Dunning and scored by Morris Stoloff that blended two songs, “Theme From Picnic” and “Moonglow” into a one sweeping orchestral tune befitting to the erotic and romantic foxtrot taking place on the dance floor. The tune ended up charting for weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, finally hitting No. 1 in 1956.
As for the film, Picnic spent five weeks at the top of the box office, following its wide release in February 1956. It was also the film that launched Novak’s career into the big leagues, with Vertigo, Bell Book and Candle, and Middle of the Night all following the Joshua Logan-directed film.
Meanwhile, Holden, already an established actor in the Golden Age of Hollywood with Sabrina, Sunset Boulevard, and Stalag 17, went on to star in more instant classics, including The Bridge on the River Kwai, The Wild Bunch, and Network.
Today, Novak is 93 and spends her time painting and celebrating the arts. Holden, unfortunately, passed away in November 1981 at the age of 63. But he and his Madge live on with every glow of the moon and stream of the film.
Picnic is available to buy or rent on Prime Video.
Trump Spills on JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette's Wild Mar-a-Lago Nights
Donald Trump is offering a rare and candid window into one of America's most iconic (and complicated) love stories.
In a new interview on Fox News' The Five on Thursday, March 26, the president reflected on his personal memories of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, recalling a relationship that was as passionate as it was turbulent.
"I actually knew him and liked him, and he liked me, believe it or not," Trump said, per PEOPLE, noting that John even put him on the cover of his George magazine.
But it was what Trump witnessed at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach that really turned heads. The president claimed the couple were regulars there, and what he saw was hard to ignore.
"They would go down to Mar-a-Lago together, and they had a very interesting relationship," Trump said. "They would bicker together, in other words have little fights, and then they would make up and start kissing wildly." He called it "one of those relationships," and described their deaths as "tragic."
John, 38, and Carolyn, 33, were killed in a plane crash off the coast of Martha's Vineyard on July 16, 1999, along with Carolyn's sisterLauren Bessette, 34.
Trump's comments come amid a wave of renewed fascination with the couple, fueled byRyan Murphy's FX drama series Love Story, which wrapped its season finale Thursday night and is now streaming on Hulu. The show, inspired by Elizabeth Beller's book Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, follows their whirlwind romance from its earliest days through their secret 1996 wedding on Cumberland Island, Georgia.
The series hasn't been without controversy. JFK Jr.'s nephew Jack Schlossberg publicly called it a "grotesque display" of his family's life. And actress Daryl Hannah, who is depicted in several episodes, has gone on the record with a sharp rebuttal of her portrayal. Hannah stated that the show presents a character using her name as "irritating, self-absorbed, whiny and inappropriate," in an essay, and was unequivocal that the depiction bears no resemblance to reality.
"The character 'Daryl Hannah' portrayed in the series is not even a remotely accurate representation of my life, my conduct or my relationship with John," she wrote, denying a string of specific allegations the show implies—including drug use, pressuring Kennedy into marriage, and making disparaging comments about Jackie Onassis. "It's appalling to me that I even have to defend myself against a television show," she added.
Despite the backlash, star Sarah Pidgeon told PEOPLE the criticism only deepened her commitment to doing the couple justice on screen.
First-Class Passenger Ends Up On the Highway Before Realizing Her 'Flight' Was Actually a Bus Ride
A woman has a massive story to tell about a recent travel debacle that left her scratching her head. That's because she says she was stunned to learn that the $700 first class ticket she purchased to fly on American Airlines, only when she arrived for her flight, actually turned out to just be a really expensive bus ride.
And while this is definitely a case of "always read the fine print," the woman isn't alone in her mistake. In fact, TikTok is full of people who are sharing similar stories, highlighting just how easy it is to do. Keep reading to learn what happened, and how you can avoid turning your planned "flight" into a multi-hour bus ride by accident.
@thekennedysimone_when you buy a flight from American Airlines but they board you on to a bus on the tarmac so you think they’re driving you to the plane but they just start driving to the destination 😀🙂😤 #traveltok #americanairlines
♬ original sound - foreverhumblemarc96 A Woman Says She Accidently Booked a Bus Ticket Instead of a First Class FlightKennedy Woodard-Jones shared on her story on TikTok, and later with The Washington Post, recalling how she received an email reminder for her American Airlines "flight" to Chicago O'Hare. She says she made through the TSA checkpoint in South Bend, Indiana and then she headed to the designated gate.
However, once she got there, she was loaded onto a bus with her luggage, which she assumed would take her and the rest of the passengers to the plane. The bus didn't head further down the tarmac, but instead headed away from the airport entirely.
Related: American Airlines Receives Clearance to Resume Nonstop Flights Between Miami and Venezuela
“It wasn’t until we were on the highway that I realized this is my ride to O’Hare,” Woodard-Jones told the publication. “There’s no plane. It took me a second for it to really lock in that this is not a plane ride.” According to The Washington Post, the 27-year-old's mistake happened at the time of booking, when she used a tool provided by her employer to schedule her trip home from a work event. She recalled how she thought she was just reserving a regular airline seat, but somehow ended up booking with The Landline Company instead.
The airline uses the company to service connecting flights, making connections from major airports to smaller ones for those looking to travel between places like South Bend and Chicago. These bus trips are still given flight numbers, and will still appear on the departure screen when you arrive at the airport. However, American Airlines told The Washington Post that the website does note that these are bus routes by displaying a bus icon when you book them. They also stated it says that they are “operated by The Landline Company as American Eagle” and “includes travel on luxury bus."
How to Avoid the OP's MistakeWhile Woodard-Jones' story may be a hilarious one, it's not actually an uncommon one. TikTok is full of similar stories from other passengers, including one woman who said that she found out her flight to Philadelphia was actually a bus ride when she was ready to board and another woman informed her she was actually traveling by bus. The stranger admitted she had also made the same mistake in the past.
So, what can you do to ensure this doesn't happen to you? Well, according to some of the people who booked online, one of the first steps includes reading the fine print when you book. Another person said that her mistake was made when she opted to book her ticket through Google Flights, which allegedly didn't make it clear that the ticket was for a bus ride. However, she claims when she later went to American Airlines to look at her ticket through the airline's system, it was abundantly clear what she had done.
To protect yourself from the same fate, there are a few steps you can take:
- Calling the airline directly to confirm that your traveling on a plane
- Researching to see if the airport you are flying out of offers services like the one The Landline Company offered the OP
- Look at the anticipated travel time on your ticket, and see if that makes sense with how long your flight should take
While it sounds like these are totally honest mistakes that can happen to just about anyone, it does seem like there are also a lot of ways to protect yourself if you don't want to end up spending your "flight" on the ground.
JetBlue Adds New Flight Routes Ahead of Summer
As the summer travel season approaches, the race to capture vacationers is heating up. Leading the charge is JetBlue, which recently announced a significant expansion of its flight network. The focal point of this growth? Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) in Florida.
Expanding the Fort Lauderdale HubJetBlue’s latest announcement centers on strengthening its position as the leading carrier in South Florida. The centerpiece of this expansion is the introduction of brand-new nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale and several key domestic and international markets. By adding these routes, the airline is providing travelers with more direct access to the Caribbean, Latin America, and major U.S. metropolitan areas.
But it isn’t just about new pins on the map. JetBlue is also significantly increasing the cadence of its existing popular routes. This means more daily departures to high-demand cities, offering passengers the kind of flexibility that was once reserved for much larger legacy carriers. Whether it’s a business traveler needing a same-day return or a family looking for the perfect mid-day departure time, the increased frequency out of FLL makes JetBlue a more formidable competitor in the region.
Related: JetBlue Plans to Launch a 'More Affordable' First Class Option for Travelers
The Florida ConnectionJetBlue’s commitment to Florida runs deep. While many airlines treat Florida as a seasonal playground, JetBlue has spent two decades weaving itself into the fabric of the state’s economy.
This latest expansion reinforces the airline’s "Long Island to Latin America" strategy, but with a heavy emphasis on the Florida middleman. By doubling down on Fort Lauderdale, JetBlue is betting on the continued growth of South Florida as both a residence for year-round travelers and a world-class tourism hub. For Floridians, this means more jobs, more competitive airfares, and the convenience of flying a "hometown" airline that prioritizes their local airport.
Why This Expansion Matters NowThe timing of these new routes is no coincidence. As we head into the summer months, travel typically increases. By announcing these routes now, JetBlue is positioning itself to capture the surge in leisure travel.
Furthermore, this expansion comes at a pivotal time for the airline industry. With shifting alliances and evolving consumer preferences, JetBlue is leaning into its strengths: high-quality service, "most legroom in coach," and free high-speed Wi-Fi. By combining these perks with the scale of a massive Florida hub, they are offering a value proposition that is hard to beat.
The Future of JetBlue in the SouthAs JetBlue continues to grow its Fort Lauderdale network, the implications for the broader travel market are significant. We can expect to see increased competition at FLL, which usually results in better pricing for consumers. Additionally, the move signals that JetBlue is not slowing down its ambitions to be the premier "low-fare, high-quality" carrier in the Western Hemisphere.

Zendaya Shares Marriage Advice Following Tom Holland Wedding Rumors
Zendaya says the best marriages are often built on friendship.
The Drama star was recently interviewed by the French outlet, Views, where she shared what she believes makes a perfect marriage.
"Oh, I don't know if there's any such thing as like a perfect marriage, but I'd say like people who, I don't know, this is a corny answer, seem like best friends," she said. "I think it's always nice to see two people that like, I don't know, really like each other as well as love each other."
Zendaya recently sparked wedding rumors with longtime partner Tom Holland after her stylist, Law Roach, claimed at the Actor Awards that the couple secretly got married. Roach defended his claims at the Academy Awards telling Extra, "I said what I said." Marriage rumors have further been fueled as Zendaya has been spotted wearing what appears to be a wedding band.
Neither Zendaya or Holland have directly addressed the marriage rumors but Zendaya did shut down a viral AI generated photo of their wedding.
"I was just out and about in real life and people were like, ‘Oh my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous.’ And I was like, ‘Babe, they’re AI. They’re not real!' Zendaya said in a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The Drama hits theaters on Friday, April 3.
Krispy Kreme Launches New Space-Themed Oreo Doughnut
Krispy Kreme is celebrating a historic NASA space mission with the debut of what fans are calling one of its most "creative" drops yet.
As crews gear up for the historic countdown to the first crewed lunar flyby mission in 50 years, per NASA, the beloved doughnut chain is getting ready to "blast off" its own "special mission" and expanding its popular Oreo collab with an all-new, space-themed treat.
True fans know that Krispy Kreme already grew the partnership once this year, adding two new Oreo-flavored doughnuts to its menu last month (the Golden Oreo Doughnut and Chocolate Oreo Dream Doughnut). And now, they can add its special Artemis II-inspired treat to the list of newcomers—but not for long.
"Big moments bring people together, and it doesn’t get much bigger than humans heading back into deep space," Alison Holder, chief brand and product officer at Krispy Kreme, shared in a statement on Friday. "We took our iconic Original Glazed doughnut and gave it a mission‑worthy makeover so fans can celebrate Artemis II in a fun, delicious way, right alongside history."
Krispy Kreme Launches Limited-Edition NASA-Inspired Doughnuts Made With OreoKrispy Kreme's new Aretmis II Doughnut starts with the brand’s iconic Original Glazed recipe, according to an official description shared in a March 27 press release. The doughnut is then dipped in blue vanilla‑flavored icing, sprinkled with a mix of Oreo crunch and white nonpareils, before it's finished with a cookies‑and‑creme flavored buttercream dollop and topped with a red chevron nod to the NASA logo.

It’s "familiar, nostalgic, and mission‑ready," according to the doughnut chain, which promises the out-of-this-world creation is the same "melt‑in‑your‑mouth favorite loved for generations," just with "a bold new look inspired by NASA’s mission."
It's not the first time Krispy Kreme has celebrated NASA and all things related to space (the company has made a habit of serving eclipse-inspired treats as well as fresh Original Glazed doughnuts during some of NASA's biggest moments—like the Apollo 11 launch in 1969, the Perseverance Rover landing on Mars in 2021 and the Artemis I Mission with the Artemis Moon Doughnut in 2022), but it's certainly one of the most creative in the eyes of fans.
"I love how [Krispy Kreme] just keeps rolling with creative, fun donuts," one wrote.
Influencer Markie_devo reacted to the release, joking, "Beam me to Krispy Kreme!👨🚀🍩."
"wooww," another said, clearly astonished.
"Get. Into. My. Belly!!!!!!" one more declared.
When Will Krispy Kreme's Artemis II Doughnuts Be Available?Krispy Kreme's limited-edition Artemis II Doughnut will only be available for a limited time next week at participating Krispy Kreme shops nationwide. According to the official announcement, the treat will debut on Tuesday, March 31, and be on menus through Thursday, April 2, while supplies last.
The limited-edition launch can be purchased on its own, as a single doughnut, or as part of the Artemis II Specialty Dozen, which includes six Artemis II Doughnuts and six Original Glazed doughnuts, "because every historic launch deserves a classic onboard," according to Krispy Kreme (prices may vary).

If you want a complete set with this Mediterranean pattern, Dollar Tree also offers mugs and plates with the same motif. Each item has a $1.50 price tag so, in theory, you could get 12 three-piece place settings for $54—not bad at all.
Dollar Tree shoppers love these pieces so much that they're constantly having trouble finding enough in stores to finish out a full set.
"I really love to design and it's very strong," says a customer in their review. "If you guys could bring it back I would like to add to my collection."
There are lots of good finds at Dollar Tree right now. The store's cutesy beverage pitchers are flying off the shelves, and it's also selling some really chic Stanley 1913 tumbler dupes. And don't forget those teeny, tiny tumblers, which are basically miniature versions of the brand's popular Quencher collection.
If you're more of a Dollar General person, that retailer is stocked with Dolly Parton-branded housewares that are too sweet for words, as well as some dainty bedding from Kathy Ireland's collection.
'The Cosby Show' Actor to Guest Star on 'The Pitt' 7 Years After Viral Trader Joe's Job
The Cosby Show alum Geoffrey Owens is clocking in to The Pitt.
The actor will guest star as Dr. Clay Barrett, a cardio-thoracic surgeon, in Season 2 episode 13 airing on Thursday, April 2. Owens had gone viral in 2018 after being photographed working at a New Jersey Trader Joe's.
Owens has been candid in the past about his struggles finding work in the entertainment industry after starring as Elvin Tibideaux for seven years on The Cosby Show.
"People have the impression that, 'Well, you're making a lot of money. What's the problem?' Why would you have financial troubles?, Owens said back in 2024. "They don't understand the specifics of how my industry works."
After the photo of him working at Trader Joe's went viral on social media, Owens quit due to the attention.
It was strange because someone had been in the store taking pictures… And I was like, well, now that this is breaking, I'm not going to feel comfortable working in this store, wondering who's around with a camera," Owens said in 2018. "It's gonna be just too weird. I'm a very private person."
He also added at the time, "It wasn't like I quit knowing I would be making a lot of money soon or anything. I just felt like I wasn't going to be able to handle that kind of scrutiny, that kind of attack on my privacy."
Owens received an onslaught of support from other prominent actors in the industry and from 2020 to 2024 he booked roles in the TV shows Power, All Rise, and Poppa's House. In 2025, Owens appeared in the films A Merry Little Ex-Mas and Nonnas.
New episodes of The Pitt are available to stream on HBO Max every Thursday at 8 pm CST/9 pm EST.

Guglielmi shared that the agent was given medical assistance on the scene and “is being evaluated at an area hospital in stable condition.”

This Pop Diva Just Shared A Family Vacation Video, and Fans Are Jealous
Christina Aguilera is a pretty private person. But the superstar pop diva recently shared a sweet clip of her family’s vacation—and fans are jealous of the posh trip!
“Xtina” and the rest of her clan look like they’re having the time of their lives during a getaway to La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Wildlife Refuge in Costa Rica. The park features an animal sanctuary and (as fans can clearly see in the singer’s video) absolutely amazing waterfalls.
View this post on Instagram Who are Christina Aguilera’s partner and daughter? While the singer isn’t married, she has been with her partner, Matthew Rutler, for over 15 years. The pair started dating in 2010, the same year she divorced her first husband, music producer Jordan Bratman.
Rutler and Aguilera got engaged four years later, in 2014. But it looks like the happy couple isn’t rushing to the altar any time soon. Instead of planning a wedding, they’ve spent the past 12 years enjoying life as partners and parents.
Aguilera and Rutler have one child together, daughter Summer Rain (born in 2014). The Grammy Award winner also has an older child, son Max Liron Bratman (born in 2008), with her ex-husband.
Who is in Christina Aguilera’s family vacation video? The performer’s recent Instagram post features an awe-inspiring look into their family’s tropical vacation. Along with lush greenery, fans are also treated to cute clips of the Aguilera-Rutlers. Mom Christina and daughter Summer hang out with bold blue butterflies, and both parents shower the little girl with kisses in front of a mini waterfall.
Of course, there’s plenty more in the short clip. This montage also includes the Refuge’s jungle cats, Christina and Matthew relaxing on wooden rockers, the performer scaling a rocky hill, and breathtakingly beautiful scenery.
Fans thanked the star for visiting the vacation spot with comments such as, “Please come back soon, we hope to see you again. Costa Rica and I love you,” “Glad to see you had the best Xperience here in Costa Rica,” and, “We loved you being here, you have to come back soon and enjoy Costa Rica a little more.”
Why was the singer in Costa Rica?It wasn’t all fun and family time for this busy working mama. Christina also headlined the two-day Picnic Festival. The singer/actress posted clips of her stunning performance, to which fans responded, “Beautiful Queen” and “Gorgeous.” One even added, “Thank you Christina. I was there in the concert, in the front row, and it was amazing. You blew me a kiss on ‘Lady Marmalade,’ and I will never forget that.” Aww!
'DWTS' Pro Jenna Johnson Shares Adorable Behind-the-Scenes Photos of Son, 3, on Tour
The Dancing with the Stars live tour may still be well underway, however pro Jenna Johnson is reflecting on how touring looks a bit different for her this time around, with her 3-year-old son in tow.
The dancer who's married to fellow pro Val Chmerkovskiy, took to Instagram on Thursday with an adorable photo carousel of their son Rome who's been along for the ride of the national tour that kicked off in January.
"These past couple of months have been some of my favorite watching my little boy grow and learn from his surroundings," she captioned an Instagram gallery of photos. "There was concern that taking him on the road with us would hinder him and his routine/development but I can attest the exact opposite!!! His social skills, vocabulary, and adaptability have far exceeded what I hoped this experience would be like. He knows every persons name (FULL crew included) and has absorbed so much about the world around him. Yes it can be exhausting, yes his schedule looks different from when we are home, but what a once in a lifetime opportunity for him!"
View this post on InstagramThe photos showed sweet moments between Johnson and Rome in different cities with the toddler constantly exploring his new surroundings. The post also included a sweet photo of Rome and Johnson's niece, Hailey Bills, who is part of the DWTS troupe.
And while fans gushed over how cute Rome is in the comments, fellow DWTS pros and former contestants also chimed in.
"The best boy!" DWTS pro Britt Stewart commented, while Season 34 contestant Danielle Fishel, who joined the tour for select dates, wrote, "I miss him and his little voice and playing trucks with him."
So special," added Johnson's Season 33 partner and winner Joey Graziadei.
Pro Rylee Arnold also commented, "I miss my Rome."

While Johnson and Chmerkovskiy have been staples of the DWTS tour for years, this year marks somewhat of a return for the couple as they took intermittent breaks or only participated for weeks at a time in past tours following the time Johnson was pregnant and right after she gave birth.
"When this tour came up we didn't really know it was an option for us to do the whole thing as a family...so I think we just had to have a really honest conversation with the tour and they were really excited by the idea of it," she said on the 'Chicks in the Office' podcast in February. "But we had terms, it is a package and we are bringing somebody else because we have a nanny, and they accommodated everything."
"It's pretty amazing and the fact that we get to do it with our son, he watches the show every night, it's nuts," she added.
Rome hasn't been the only little one on tour this year, as Pasha Pashcov and Daniella Karagach have brought their daughter Kiki along for the tour as well.

Senate Approves TSA Funding, but Things Aren't Going to Get Better at the Airport Just Yet
In a surprising turnaround, the U.S. Senate voted early on Friday morning of March 27, 2026 to approve Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funds that were being held up as part of a partial government shutdown. This measure would allow paychecks to finally get cut for Transportation Security Agents (TSA), after the legislative infighting forced agents to work without pay.
However, the relief won't be immediate for TSA agents or the travelers who rely on them for support at the airport. Instead, delays may continue to be felt for days, if not weeks, as a result of the funding breakdown. Here's what you need to know.
@abcnewsPresident Trump is ordering DHS to pay TSA agents with money set to come from Trump’s Domestic Policy Act, while the Senate has voted to fund the DHS, aside from ICE and parts of CBP. ABC News' @itsrachelscott reports. #news
♬ original sound - ABC News - ABC News The Senate Approved a TSA Funding MeasureThe Associated Press reported that the Senate convened early Friday morning to approve funding for the DHS to pay TSA agents. The bill that was passed would allow DHS to pay some other agencies, but would continue to prevent them from paying the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers, the issue that was at the heart of the initial shutdown.
The deal was met with unanimous approval, and it will next head to the House of Representatives sometime later today. This could mean the end of the 42 day stalemate that kept some agencies running without funding, and allow money to start flowing to agencies like, but not limited to, the:
- United States Coast Guard (USCG)
- Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)
- Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
“We can get at least a lot of the government opened up again and then we’ll go from there,” Senate Majority Leader John Thune, told the Associated Press of the bipartisan approval. “Obviously, we’ll still have some work ahead of us.”

The TSA Funding May Not Spell Immediate Relief for TravelersWhile President Donald Trump has publicly said he will sign off on the funding bill when it reaches his desk in order to stop the "chaos at the airports," the end to this chaotic travel season may not come as quickly as everyone would like.
First, the bill will need to get through the house and to the president in order to be signed. Since this is only a partial funding measure, there may be those who don't want to approve the measure until ICE and Customs and Border Protection—another agency not included in the funding bill—are also fully funded.

Then, the funds will have to be released. Even if everything happens today, it could take a few days for some banks to release direct payments to TSA employees.
Lastly, there's the issue of staffing. Many TSA agents were forced to look for other jobs during the shut down, since many people can't afford to continue working without pay. That staff reduction could take a while to be corrected, especially since many people may not be interested in applying for a job where your paycheck frequently becomes jeopardized as part of a political power play. I know that I would be a little leery of taking a job in an industry that has forced its employees to stay home, or otherwise work without pay, several times over the past year, and I can't imagine I'm alone in that thinking.
‘Outlander’ Stars Tease a Risky New Romance — And There’s One Major Problem (Exclusive)
One of the things that has made Outlandersuch a hit series for STARZ is that in addition to being an epic time-travel historical drama, it is also always a love story. It began with Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Beauchamp (Caitríona Balfe), then moved on to the next generation when their daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton) fell in love with Roger Wakefield MacKenzie (Richard Rankin). And now it looks as if Jamie’s illegitimate son William Ranson (Charles Vandervaart) may have met his soulmate in Amaranthus Grey (Carla Woodcock).
But there’s a hitch before these two can become lovers. Amaranthus is believed to be a widow, but William is not so sure that her husband Ben (Alex Bhat), his cousin, has met his demise, and has tasked himself with trying to track down the truth about his cousin’s death.
“I think there are reasons outside of Amaranthus why he truly wants to know what happened to Ben,” Vandervaart exclusively tells Parade. “Obviously, Ben was his mentor. He really looked up to his older cousin. I think he followed his footsteps, going into the military largely because of his cousin. But I do think that this relationship is charged by the guilt that William feels about potentially having romantic feelings for his cousin’s wife.”
Those feelings will inspire William even more than before to discover the true circumstances of what happened to his cousin.
Charles Vandervaart, Carla WoodcockCourtesy: STARZ
“Initially, when he met Amaranthus, he wasn’t even convinced that she was Ben’s wife, because I think he was hesitant to believe her and he was filled with hurt,” Vandervaart continues. “We’re on this journey now, the enemies-to-lovers trope. It didn’t necessarily start off the way a lot of romances do, but I think it is moving in a direction of romance, and they have great chemistry together, so I’m rooting for them.”
What’s interesting for a show set in the 18th century is that Amaranthus is very forward for a woman of her time. In fact, in a previous episode, she actually initiated a kiss with William. Unheard of at the time. So, even taking into consideration that as a widow, she knows more about what goes on between men and women than an innocent maiden from the era, it is bold.

“In my mind, I think she’s always been raised to be outspoken, and I don’t think anyone’s ever told her that she needs to quiet her voice,” Woodcock tells Parade. “I think she feels quite empowered to say what she thinks. She also doesn’t come from this [upper class] world, so I think she doesn’t really buy into its social normalities too much.”
Charles Vandervaart, David BerryCourtesy: STARZ
There’s also the added factor that, yes, Lord John Grey (David Berry) has taken her under his wing and accepted her as his nephew Ben’s widow, even though Ben had never mentioned her. So, she may feel the need to solidify her position by attaching herself to William, who while not heir to the Duke of Pardlow title, has his own: Ninth Earl of Ellesmere.
“Yes, her son has a title, but she, I don’t think, feels 100 percent safe in her spot, her place in the Grey family,” Woodcock continues. “As I said, she doesn’t come from this world, so I think she does want to be married to have that security, but also, I think she’s probably quite lonely. She doesn’t have her support network around her, so I think when she meets William, and they get on, and they have such a natural friendship, I think she’s like, ‘Oh, this is great. This can be my little pal, my little partner.’ So, I think she gets kind of excited by the idea and the romance of it all again, because she hasn’t got that anymore.”
Related:Sam Heughan Reflects on How ‘Outlander’ Has Changed Everything (Exclusive)
And neither does William, who has made disastrous choices when it comes to women. He was attracted to Rachel (Izzy Meikle-Small), who ended up marrying his cousin Ian (John Bell). And then he was attracted to Jane (Silvia Presente), who, as a prostitute, was totally unacceptable, but he liked her anyway and vowed to protect her. And, of course, she took her own life, leaving him bereft that he couldn’t keep her safe.
And now, William is getting involved with his cousin’s widow, who could still be his wife if Ben isn’t dead. And what’s interesting is how intimate their conversations have become because William admits to Amaranthus that he is literally a bastard – though not technically one since his mother was married at the time of his birth – because Jamie is his biological father and Brianna, who she was jealous of is actually his half-sister.
“I think that maybe reveals a level of acceptance of his situation, and I think that he is wallowing in self-pity and he’s very much a wounded animal at this point,” Vandervaart says. “I think he finds security in Amaranthus and he can finally discuss his situation with someone who he feels he can trust that isn’t directly a part of that situation. So, I think a lot of it is getting it off his chest.”
Related: Outlander’s Caitríona Balfe Says Final Season Was Her Most Difficult Yet — Here’s Why (Exclusive)
It also helped that Amaranthus told William that a title is something you hold, not something you are, and they were words that he needed to hear.
Carla Woodcock, Charles VandervaartCourtesy: STARZ
“She did a great job of showing William that his title as the 9th Earl of Ellesmere doesn’t have to be his entire identity, it could be just something that he has,” Vandervaart says. “A person has innate worth outside of where they sit on this hierarchy, and I think that that’ll be very healthy for him moving forward. She’s a great influence in that way.”
So, how did Amaranthus get so smart?
“She reads a lot of books,” Woodcock says. “She’s spent a lot of time growing up around people. She says her father was a book seller. I think she probably grew up in quite a rich world full of a lot of different people, so I think she’s innately emotionally mature and quite perceptive and has empathy for what William is going through.”
Outlander will air new episodes each Friday at midnight ET on the STARZ app, all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms; and at 8 p.m. ET/PT/7 Central on the linear network.

Researchers Believe They May Have Just Made an Unbelievable Underground Discovery in Egypt
I'm always tickled to find that we're still learning more about ancient cultures and civilizations. That's because it's fascinating to discover that there's still so much we don't know about those who came before us, no matter how long ago they existed on this Earth. That's especially true for ancient Egypt, which is believed to have existed thousands of years ago.
But, despite being so old, researchers are always learning more about what went on way back then thanks to emerging technologies that allow us to literally look deeper than ever before. Now, researchers say that their latest round of imaging may have uncovered two massive finds, including an ancient megastructure and a second Sphinx. If true, this will change everything we thought we knew about the region.
Researcher Found Signs of a Second SphinxAlright history buffs, you're going to want to hold onto your hats because researchers say that underground scans that were completed in the area surrounding the Great Pyramid of Giza appear to show evidence that a second Sphinx is buried beneath the sand.
Filippo Biondi, One of the radar engineers responsible for the find appeared on the Matt Beall Limitless podcast, where he shared the exciting news, saying that he was "very confident" about his findings, adding that he was about "80 percent" sure that the massive structure he found would turn out to be a second version of the iconic structure.
Biondi added that he found "symmetrical correlations" that led him to believe that the structure he found would turn out to be another Sphinx. But, that wasn't all Biondi had to say, he also shared that he thinks there's an "underground megastructure" down there as well due to the presence of "vertical shafts" and "horizontal passages."
But, not everyone believes the hype. According to Lad Bible, several researchers say it's too soon to get excited about this discovery, since there were other structures that were found that would disprove the theory.
Other critics said that the methods used to detect these structures wasn't "scientifically approved."

Researchers Keep Making New Discoveries in EgyptNews of a second Sphinx aside, there are many other exciting finds coming out of Egypt, that hopeful travelers could potentially get to check out the next time they are in town. For example, Popular Mechanics says that archaeologists made a pretty big find on the west bank of the Nile, where excavated tombs were found to hold hundreds of years worth of artifacts and history, including:
- Hieroglyphics
- Ceramic pots
- Personal items
- Mirrors
- Jewlery
These items aren't on display yet, but hopefully they will be soon enough. As for those artifacts you can see now, you may want to check out some of the region's most renowned museums, including The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), which overlooks the Giza Plateau and pyramids, and contains more than 50,000 pieces that cover around 7,000 years of history.
