2020s Rock Band Signs New Record Label 7 Years After Forming

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 6:14pm

This rising heavy metal rock band announced some exciting career news this week.

It was announced on Wednesday that Void signed with Metal Blade Records. To celebrate the new signing, the group shared a limited-edition merchandise drop, and each purchase comes with a signed 8x10 poster. Prior to Metal Blade, the rock group was releasing material through Shadow Kingdom Records.

"Metal Blade has been a cornerstone for heavy metal for decades, so joining the roster is an absolute honor and we feel right at home," Void wrote in a statement. "We are sharpening the fangs for our most vicious material yet. It's about to get bloody."

Founded in 1982 by owner Brian Slagel, Metal Blade Records' goal is to "find great bands and get their music out to as many people as possible." Working at a record store and as a music journalist, Slagel never planned to establish a label, but he realized how many great metal bands in the LA metal scene were being ignored. Now almost 45 years in the business, Metal Blade has built its roster and works with various artists, including Amon Amarth, Angel Witch, Cloak, Cult of Lilith, Monstrosity, Redemption and hundreds more.

On top of working on their third studio album, Void is also going on their Empire of Blood Tour this spring, making stops all around the United States, including Houston, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Dallas and more. In addition, they will also be performing at various music festivals, kicking off the tour at the Bay Area Hard Rock Fest in Tampa, and wrapping the lineup of shows in Chicago's Legions of Metal Fest and San Luis Metal Fest in Mexico City in May.

Founded in 2019 by Jackson Davenport in Lafayette, Louisiana, the rising metal band released its debut album, Horrors of Reality, in 2023. They followed it up with the single "Silent Onslaught" the next Halloween, and then with another LP called Forbidden Morals. They made their name for themselves in the South thanks to their songs "First In, Last Out" and "Return of the Phantom." The current lineup includes Davenport, Chris Braune, Gabe LeJeune, Blake Adams and Aaron Landry.

Tickets for their upcoming Empire of Blood Tour and their limited-exclusive merchandise is avaliable on Void's official website.

Jennifer Hudson Announces Major 'Dreamgirls' Return 20 Years After Historic Oscar Win

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 6:14pm

Jennifer Hudson is returning to the spotlight of Dreamgirls, but this time she is stepping behind the curtain.

Exactly two decades after her Academy Award-winning performance as Effie White, the superstar has officially signed on as a producer for the upcoming Broadway revival. The production, set to open in Fall 2026, marks a significant milestone in Hudson’s career. It brings her back to the property that transformed her from an American Idol finalist into a global powerhouse, completing a two-decade journey from breakout star to industry mogul.

A Full-Circle Encore

Hudson confirmed the news on Feb. 11, highlighting the personal significance of the project. The 2026 revival will be the first time Dreamgirls returns to Broadway with a completely new staging, distinct from the original Michael Bennett production that defined the show for 40 years.

"Twenty years ago, my life changed forever because of a film called Dreamgirls," Hudson said. "Inspired by the iconic stage musical, I was given the opportunity of a lifetime to portray the one and only Effie White. I am beyond honored to join the extraordinary producing team behind this special, newly reimagined Broadway revival."

The timing is intentional. The 2006 film adaptation of Dreamgirls celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Hudson’s portrayal of Effie earned her the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, launching a career that would eventually lead to her achieving EGOT status (winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony).

From Breakout Star to Boss

This move solidifies Hudson’s transition from talent to power player. While she is best known for her vocals, Hudson has quietly built an impressive resume as a theater producer.

View this post on Instagram

This Dreamgirls revival will be her third producing credit on Broadway. She previously won a Tony Award as a producer for A Strange Loop in 2022 and served as a producer on the musical Smash in 2025. Joining the lead producing team, which includes heavyweights Sonia Friedman Productions, Sue Wagner, and John Johnson, places Hudson at the helm of one of the year’s most anticipated theatrical events.

A New Vision for Broadway

The 2026 production promises to be different from the version audiences remember. It is being billed as a "newly reimagined" revival under the direction of Camille A. Brown, a five-time Tony nominee.

Brown will be the first director to stage a Broadway production of Dreamgirls since the original 1981 run. Hudson expressed excitement about this fresh take, noting her desire to "help bring Dreamgirls back to the stage through the visionary direction and choreography of Camille A. Brown."

Casting for the new production has not yet been announced, but with Hudson on the producing team, all eyes will be on who is chosen to step into the iconic role of Effie White.

Beloved EPCOT Attraction Living With the Land Unexpectedly Closes at Walt Disney World

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 6:10pm

A beloved attraction at Walt Disney World's EPCOT left fans of the world-famous theme park feeling mighty disappointed today, Feb. 12, when they arrived bright and early to find it closed without warning.

The Living With the Land boat ride, which is described as an "eye-opening tour" of the "surprising history of farming," featuring hybrid plants, fish, and more from around the world throughout a series of greenhouses, was missing its most key feature as park-goers wandered through the gates this morning—the water.

New Pictures Show the Longtime Attraction Has Been Drained

Photos shared by the WDW News Today blog showed the gentle river ride's entrance being guarded by cast members. The water was drained and the boats were missing from the loading zone. One employee was seen inspecting the mechanisms of the ride's track.

The closure was unannounced by the park, and it's unclear when it may reopen.

One of Its Most Recognizable Features Underwent a Major Demolition Just Weeks Prior

Earlier this month, the park also made a major modification to the attraction without fanfare, removing a giant tree from the dome-shaped greenhouse. Guests who had the opportunity to ride since then have also reported seeing cast members with shovels in the area, apparently digging out its remaining roots following its felling, as reported by Inside the Magic, and fans online mourned the loss of the decades-old tree.

Wow the greenhouse reveal on living with the land certainly hits different without the huge tree. pic.twitter.com/3aZn8t2yDg

— RockNstardust🎸✨ (@Kdodgers24) February 12, 2026

"Wow the greenhouse reveal on living with the land certainly hits different without the huge tree," one wrote on X, sharing a clip from a livestreamer's big reveal of the empty space where it once stood.

There's no word from Disney on the reasons for removing the iconic landmark from one of the park's original rides, which opened in 1982.

Closures Have Already Plagued the Park This Year

Not even two months into the year and this isn't even EPCOT's first unexpected closure. Last month, on the very first day of EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts, guests discovered that the length of track used by the Skyliner monorail service to transport guests from various resorts to EPCOT was closed, a whole week ahead of its announced shutdown for refurbishment.

Water parks have also faced forced closures as Orlando sees record temperature lows, while tropical plants housed in Animal Kingdom suffered irreparable damage during the freeze.

People Who Were Labeled 'Mature for Their Age' as Kids Often Struggle With These 7 Issues in Adulthood

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 6:10pm

Just like us adults, kids are also prone to receiving certain labels based on their traits and personalities. They might be seen as “dramatic,”“strong-willed" or “too sensitive," for example. And once they hit adulthood, memories of these classifications may even impact them to this day. One of these descriptors known to leave a lasting, negative mark on people is being "mature for their age." If you received this epithet, you might have had an idea of what people were implying, but what does that label mean exactly?

Dr. Emily Bly, PhD, a licensed clinical psychologist and the CEO and Clinical Director at Psychology Partners Group, says that this marker can arise from what parents and teachers observe regarding that child’s capacity for emotional regulation, more so than a child’s “smarts.”

“Kids who are labeled ‘mature’ or ‘old souls’ are often not the ones to be ‘making a scene’ or exhibiting ‘problematic’ behavior,” Dr. Bly tells Parade

These children are also thought of as perceptive, or exhibit a precocious level of emotional intelligence or empathy

Although being characterized as “mature for your age” as a child seems like a good thing, it actually can be detrimental, especially as you enter your adult years.

“Sometimes, kids develop these ‘good kid’ traits as survival mechanisms, or adaptations to environments that can’t optimally adapt to their phase of development,” Dr. Bly explains.

In other words? You may have had to grow up quickly because you needed to survive the negative conditions of your environment.

Ahead, discover seven things you may struggle with now if you were labeled "mature for your age" in childhood, and find out how to heal.

Related: People Who Were ‘Perfectionists’ in Childhood Often Develop These 7 Traits as Adults, a Psychologist Says

The Benefits and Downsides To Being Called ‘Mature for Your Age’ as a Kid

Stefan Dahl | Dreamstime.com

Adults tend to love a “good kid” or an “easy kid,” as Dr. Bly puts it. And, if this relates to you, as a benefit, you may have received preferential treatment from adults, resulting in higher academic performance and subtle advantages, “like being more likely to be placed in peer leadership roles at school or at home,” where you may have been “held up as an example of ‘how it’s done.’”

But she shares that there’s a downside to these advantages.

“Being rewarded and recognized for your maturity and your academic performance can cause kids to be hard on themselves or have unrealistic expectations of themselves in more demanding settings,” she explains.

There’s also the pressure of being considered a kid who's more sophisticated than other children. As you’re held up as an example against classmates and family members, Dr. Bly says that this can “create an unrealistic expectation that you must always lead, and it can lead to the resentment of peers and family members who become envious of the prized trait.”

You also might feel as if you didn’t experience childhood to the fullest, something that she calls a “lost childhood.”

7 Issues 'Mature' Kids Struggle With in Adulthood, According to a Psychologist1. Perfectionism

Perfectionism is a big one,” Dr. Bly states. “If you were rewarded for your maturity and your ‘performance,’ then you can really struggle to adjust expectations to fit a more complex set of demands.”

As a consequence of this perfectionism, you may currently think of yourself as a “workaholic.”

Related: How To Recover From Burnout, According to a Psychologist

2. Asking for help

Dr. Bly says that asking for help is a challenge for mature kids that can naturally extend into adulthood.

“Mature kids were often prized for their ability to not need anything from the adults around them,” she shares. “In adulthood, a core part of their identity can be that they are the ‘fixer’ and the ‘doer,’ and therefore they shouldn’t need to ask for help. When adults like this run into trouble, they often power through without the support they may desperately need.”

3. Hyper-responsibility

In psychology, Dr. Bly says that there’s a concept called “over-functioning” or “hyper independence.” These can be traits of mature kids that follow them into adulthood.

“The fact that it is hard to ask for help sets adults up to take on more than they can realistically do,” she explains. “It is a prelude to burnout, which is a huge risk for the hyper-responsible.”

Related: If You Can Relate to These 9 Phrases, You Might Have High-Functioning Anxiety, According to a Psychologist

4. Suppressed needs

Do you often set aside your own needs in the name of fulfilling others’ needs? This could be a sign that you were seen as “mature” as a child.

“If you are prized for not making demands and not having needs, then what is going to happen is that you are going to squash down your needs sometimes before you even fully recognize that you have them,” Dr. Bly shares.

5. Guilt

“Obviously, if you were raised not to ask for help, if someone helps you or you have to ask for help, you feel very guilty about the impact on the other person,” Dr. Bly points out. “Will they get mad? Will they drop you?”

6. Overanalyzing things

Dr. Bly says that people-pleasing adults often had to “read the room” when they were young, becoming hyper-attuned to the needs of others.

“They can sometimes lie awake at night as adults thinking, ‘Should I have said that?’, ‘What will that person think of me?’ and ‘Did I ask for too much?’,” she explains. “Social anxiety and decision paralysis are sometimes at the end of that continuum.”

Related: 11 Subtle Signs You’re Stuck in a ‘Functional Freeze,’ Psychologists Reveal

7. Relationship imbalance

“The ‘dream’ partner for an over-functioning adult who was once a 'good kid,' unfortunately, is often someone who might be a ‘taker,’ or someone who needs a tremendous amount of care,” Dr. Bly says. “Taking care of someone or fixing their problems is often all too normalized for them. They may not realize until they are very far in that they are in an imbalanced relationship in which they are doing a lot of the heavy lifting and receiving not enough in return.”

Related: Relationship OCD Might Be the Hidden Cause of Your ‘What If’ Thoughts About Love

How To Heal From This Childhood Label

First off, Dr. Bly strongly recommends seeking therapy, saying that a skilled therapist can “really help you to identify relational patterns that are too close and too second nature to see clearly.”

In therapy, you can explore how you feel and what you really need.

“Once you do that, you can begin to acknowledge that even though you may have been placed in this role as a kid, it was never actually your ‘job’ to perform in that way,” she explains.

As a result of productive therapy, you might feel a greater sense of freedom and the ability to allow yourself to be “messy,” Dr. Bly shares. You also might recognize that needing help or being in chaos doesn’t make you unlovable.

“Lastly, one of the keys to recovery is boundary setting,” she states. “Once you begin to recognize your own feelings and needs, you have the choice to assert them in healthy ways.”

FBI Confirms 'New Identifying Details' in Search for Nancy Guthrie

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 5:51pm

Today, the Phoenix branch of the Federal Bureau of Investigation increased the reward for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie or the arrest of anyone involved in her abduction.

The branch most local to the 84-year-old's residence, where she went missing from over the weekend of Feb. 1, doubled its reward from $50,000 to $100,000 after "new identifying details about the suspect [were] confirmed after a forensic analysis of the doorbell camera footage."

Recovered Doorbell Footage Has Revealed 'New Identifying Information' About the Suspect

Investigators describe their suspect as an average build male between 5'9" and 5'10" tall, wearing a black, 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack in the footage uncovered from Guthrie's doorbell cam earlier this week. High-quality photos of the backpack's model were included in the new update.

It's the hope of the FBI that this updated description will help potential witnesses narrow down their tips, which have exceeded 13,000 since the start of the case. Well-meaning supporters have also clogged up law enforcement phone lines with condolences directed to the Guthrie family.

"Every tip is reviewed for credibility, relevance, and information that can be acted upon by law enforcement," the Bureau explained. "Threat Intake Examiners at the National Threat Operations Center (NTOC) and FBI personnel are supporting a 24-hour command post in which dozens of agents and investigators are assigned leads and tips to action each shift."

Today, the FBI is increasing its reward up to $100,000 for information leading to the location of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.

The Reward Money Has Steadily Increased in the Weeks Since Nancy Disappeared

The local Sheriff's Department originally offered a $2,500 reward, which led to some public backlash over the number of 0’s being advertised. The FBI later issued a $50,000 reward to be paid out should information verifiably lead to Guthrie or her kidnapper. Guthrie requires daily medication for a variety of medical conditions, and the family expressed concern from the start that she may not be able to survive without them.

Updates Have Been Slow to Come

Late in the evening of Feb. 6, an SUV presumed to belong to Nancy was seen being towed from her garage. Earlier that day, FBI agents were seen taking something off of the woman’s roof in drone footage.

Since then, police have questioned at least one person of interest, been seen conducting additional searches of Nancy's home, as well as her daughter Annie Guthrie's, and revealed a vehicle of interest, but there have been no concrete updates from investigators, who haven't held a press conference in several days.

They continue to comb through local camera footage, and today asked residents in a narrowed search area to submit anything showing "vehicles, traffic, pedestrians, or suspicious activity" from about a month prior to Nancy's abduction to the immediate days after.

Wendy’s Fan-Favorite Frosty Gets Even Sweeter Upgrade

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 5:45pm

Wendy's menu just got a whole lot cooler! The beloved burger joint just confirmed it's bringing back its Thin Mint Frosty Swirl this year—and it's coming with an even more intense addition.

The popular fast food joint had customers crying "tears of joy" when it debuted its menu collaboration with Girl Scouts USA last year, and when rumors started circulating that the brand would bring it back again, fans wasted no time hyping up its return on social media. But what they didn't know, officially at the time anyway, was that Wendy's planned to launch a spinoff of the fan-favorite Frosty flavor that captures even more of the chocolate and minty chill of the iconic Girl Scout Cookies.

Heading out alongside the Thin Mint Frosty Swirl is Wendy's new Thin Mint Frosty Fusion.

The recipe combines a vanilla Frosty with that same minty cookie crumble sauce and crushed Girl Scout Thin Mints cookies for an even sweeter bite with every spoonful. It's all Thin Mint, with a side of Frosty.

Laura Dern Reflects on Supporting Ellen DeGeneres During Her Historic Coming-Out Episode

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 5:42pm

Laura Dern is reflecting on her status as a gay icon.

Dern was featured on the Las Culturistas podcast, hosted by comedians Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, on Wednesday, Feb. 11. During the episode, she discussed her role in helping Ellen DeGeneres come out publicly.

In the 1997 episode, "The Puppy Episode," of the sitcomEllen, DeGeneres' character, Ellen Morgan, comes out as a lesbian. Dern played Susan, a woman Ellen had a crush on.

Dern discussed with Yang and Rogers how the reaction to the historic episode was not as positive as they had hoped at the time. Dern revealed that they had even received bomb threats.

"The assumption is you're gonna do this thing and, thank god, people will wake up, love their relatives and their neighbors, see them. Everything will expand. Culture will catch up, and it will be a beautiful celebration. The world went, ‘No. No. No," she said.

However, the impact of Ellen coming out publicly was not lost on Dern. During the 2020 Independent Spirit Awards, The Gay's Men's Choir of Los Angeles performed a song dedicated to Dern as a "gay icon."

"I had a couple of people, part of the Gay Men's Choir of Los Angeles, come up and go, like, ‘I was a kid who didn't even know what was going on. I saw that episode.’ And you go, oh, right. That's why you want culture to catch up later. That is culture. Culture's doing it when nobody's caught up," she told Yang and Rogers.

Dern also reflected on being able to support her friend during such a pivotal moment in their life and career.

“Being part of that moment with Ellen, it wasn't that I was somebody supporting an actor or a friend by being part of the show. It makes me emotional, but I was holding her hands as they were shaking. And she was looking in my eyes, saying for the first time, ‘I'm gay,’ out loud with people watching. And the privilege, the luxury of feeling it for someone in a moment was so beautiful," she said.

She added, "It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Watching someone do that for themselves and for their community and for their lives, it's amazing."

Inside Savannah Guthrie's Bond With Sister Annie: Everything the 'Today' Host Has Shared

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 5:30pm

As the search for Nancy Guthrie continues, TODAY co-anchor Savannah Guthrie is leaning heavily on her family. (84-year-old Nancy was last seen on January 31, 2026, at her residence near Tucson, Arizona. Authorities are treating her disappearance as an abduction case.)

During this incredibly difficult time, the 54-year-old TV star has been joined in public pleas for her mother's return not only by her husband Michael Feldman, but also by her siblings: older brother Camron Guthrie and older sisterAnnie Guthrie.

Everything Guthrie has revealed in previously released books and interviews makes it clear that the group is a very tight-knit unit—and the bond between Savannah and Annie couldn't be stronger. As the investigation into Nancy's kidnapping continues, here is everything Savannah has shared about their sisterhood through the years.

Savannah honored Annie during a TODAY show segment in 2017

In October 2017, Savannah and Annie appeared in a special TODAY segment centered on sisterhood. (Fellow TODAY co-anchor Hoda Kotb also participated, with her own sister Hala.) In the interview, both Guthrie gals sat down together in front of cameras to detail their close relationship and share stories from their childhood. "Annie's like the blood going through my veins," said Savannah. "She's my sister, she's always been there, all my life."

The siblings noted their differences, with Annie saying, "My sister and I are like the sun and the moon." Savannah added that while she's loud and a fast talker, Annie is more "thoughtful and reflective."

"For me, Annie and I were more like twins than older sister and younger sister," Savannah said of their younger days. "We were often in very similar clothes, same outfit—but you'd have red, I'd have blue, or yours would be green and mine would be yellow. Annie and I would be in a fight as little kids and my mom would separate us and say 'Go to your room.' And then about five minutes later, one of us would send a note under the door, you know, 'You want to be friends again?' or 'What are you doing?' ... One of the best things about being sisters is you grew up in the same house, and you don't have to explain."

The women also revealed what they've learned from each other over the years. "No matter what's happening, if I need clarity or wisdom, I call Savannah," Annie revealed. Savannah praised her sibling for teaching her about generosity: "She is as happy for me if something good happens to me as if it had happened to herself, maybe happier."

In 1988, their father—Charles Guthrie—suffered a heart attack and did not survive. At the time, Savannah was just 16 years old. "Our whole family just hung onto each other for dear life because it was such a shock," Savannah also shared in the TODAY segment. "We were just trying to figure out how to become a family of four when we'd always been a family of five."

"Annie and I were both heading off to college and we both decided to live at home," she continued. "One of us would always stay home on one of the weekend nights so that our mom wouldn't be alone. That was just something that we did as sisters."

For her part, Annie credited their mother Nancy with establishing such close connections within the family unit: "I feel like my mom did such a unique and amazing job to create this foundation for us," she said. "To know how to be a good sister is to know how to be a good friend to anyone."

“My sister is by far the most wise, intelligent, thoughtful, creative, generous and profoundly original person I know,” Savannah wrote in her book Mostly What God Does: Reflections on Seeking and Finding His Love Everywhere.

In the 2024 memoir, the TODAY co-host shares her reflections on faith, family and life. “She is my forever partner in life," she shared. "We know each other’s thoughts and ways. We know each other’s sadness and weakness. We know each other’s tickle spots and pain points.”

Savannah also highlighted how faith binds them together. “Sometimes, the way we have found each other in the hard times is God, the sixth member of our family, as my sister so memorably put it,” Guthrie added. “I know when she is praying for me, and I believe she knows when I am praying for her, too.”

Savannah always includes Annie in her daily prayers

Every morning before she clocks in for the TODAY show, Guthrie sets aside time for prayer and reflection. In Mostly What God Does, she shared that this routine involves feeling gratitude for her family—specifically mentioning her sister Annie.

“Some mornings, I pray names, just names, just like [Mister Rogers] did," Savannah wrote. "I whisper my husband’s name to God and picture his image. Mike. Then my kids. Vale. Charley. I imagine them one by one, summoning their sweet faces. Mom, Annie, Cam. I see them in my mind."

She continued: "This prayer experience is surprisingly powerful; it bonds us deeply to the ones whose names we utter, softening any edges. Praying their names feels like an act of love, an act of meaning, and an act of hope. Lifting up the people I love before the God I trust draws me closer to him and to them.”

Savannah hosted a star-studded book party for Annie

Like Savannah, Annie Guthrie is also a published author, having penned the 2015 poetry book The Good Dark. To celebrate its October 2015 release, Savannah threw Annie a launch party at New York City's Little Owl event space—with notable guests like Matt Lauer, Natalie Morales, Willie Geist, Tamron Hall, Jon Bon Joviand more in attendance.

During the bash, Savannah toasted her sister's work: “The book is like Annie — good and dark and complicated, and captivating, never obvious, always challenging, speaking to you directly...pointedly and poignantly,” she said, according to Page Six.

Describing her sister as "deep as deep can be," Savannah added: "I’m excited for the world to get a taste of the sister I know and grew up with in our little Brady Bunch family."

Savannah and Annie grew even closer after becoming mothers

Savannah had recently welcomed her first child—daughter Vale—when she told Peoplehow parenting toddlers had added a new layer to their sisterly bond. “Annie’s little boy is two-and-a-half, so she teaches me the rules of the road,” she said.

Annie added: “When I see Vale and I see the back of her head with her little curls, it brings me back to being the older sister and loving all over my baby sister—reaching back through time and seeing my sister, the curls and the face. It’s so sweet.”

W.A.S.P. is currently preparing for their upcoming 1984 To Headless 2026 North America Tour, which kicks off in El Cajon, California, on Sept. 10 and ends on Halloween night in Anaheim, California. Formed in 1982 in Los Angeles, they rose to fame in the city's heavy metal scene thanks to their debut self-titled album. Some of their most popular songs include "I Wanna Be Somebody," "L.O.V.E Machine," "Wild Child," "Blind in Texas" and "Forever Free," as well as some of their covers, such as "I Don't Need No Doctor" by Ray Charles and The Who's "The Real Me."

Savannah Guthrie's Mom: FBI Seeking to Speak With Male Seen on Camera Miles From Nancy Guthrie's Home

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 5:19pm

On Thursday Feb. 12, the FBI sought a man seen in a neighborhood about five miles from Nancy Guthrie's home. A video, captured by a resident's outdoor camera, was circulating on social media for much of the day. It showed a man attempting to climb a wall while carrying a backpack.

According to NBC News' Tom Winter, the man has since been cleared.

Earlier in the day, Fox News reported that authorities became aware of the video and wanted to speak with the person seen in the footage. The outlet added that both the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department were interested in the man because he appeared to be dressed similarly to the person seen on Nancy’s front stoop in the middle of the night on Feb. 1—the night she vanished.

Also on Thursday, Feb. 12, the FBI released an update in the case—and increased the reward for Nancy's whereabouts from $50,000 to $100,000.

"New identifying details about the suspect in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie have been confirmed after a forensic analysis of the doorbell camera footage by the FBI’s Operational Technology Division," read a statement posted on the official FBI Phoenix X page.

The FBI has also given a written description of the potential suspect for the first time.

"The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9” - 5’10” tall, with an average build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack," it read.

"Every tip is reviewed for credibility, relevance, and information that can be acted upon by law enforcement. Threat Intake Examiners at the National Threat Operations Center (NTOC) and FBI personnel are supporting a 24-hour command post in which dozens of agents and investigators are assigned leads and tips to action each shift," the statement continued.

Authorities believe that Nancy, 84, may have been abducted from her home in the Catalina Foothills area of Arizona. No suspects or persons of interest have been named.

Stacy Keibler's James Van Der Beek Tribute Isn't the Only Reason She's Famous

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 5:06pm

Stacy Keibler has been famous for a while, but after leaving Hollywood, flew mostly under the radar. After the death ofJames Van Der Beek on Feb. 11, 2026, however, she's back in the public consciousness thanks to the heartfelt tribute she posted to the late Varsity Blues star on her Instagram.

"Spending these final days with you has been a true gift from God.
I have never been so present in my life," she wrote alongside a photo of Van Der Beek in a wheelchair. "When you know time is sacred, you don’t waste a single breath. You don’t rush. You don’t scroll. You don’t worry about tomorrow. You sit. You listen. You hold hands. You watch the sky change colors and you let it change you too."

"In these past days, you taught me more about being present than any book ever could. You showed me what it looks like to trust God’s plan, even when it breaks your heart. Especially when it breaks your heart," she continued. "The other night we watched the sunset together as you shared your wisdom, your hopes, and the promises we made to each other. We talked about how this world can feel upside down … and how maybe heaven needs your spirit now to help steady us down here. And just as the sun slipped away, a shooting star crossed the sky … as if to remind us that none of this is random."

Keibler went on to call Van Der Beek a "gift," "an incredible husband" and "an extraordinary dad."

"It’s pretty incredible how someone can fight so hard for so long, travel the world battling so much and somehow still look so handsome doing it," she added. "That smile never left you.
You have given this world so many gifts. Your presence was a bright light in my life, and in so many others. And while your physical body may no longer be here, I know your spirit is doing big things. I feel it already."

We'd share more, but honestly, you'd probably be unable to read it through the tears it'll jerk from your poor eyes. Get to know Stacy Keibler, her career and her transition from wrestling to ranch life.

Born Oct. 14, 1979, Keibler is a former dancer, occasional actress, model and professional wrestler.

Today, she focuses on a career as an influencer and self-proclaimed "wellness warrior," which includes claiming that seed oils are "cancel worthy," "eating more raw butter is the move" and that everyone should have electromagnetic field blockers on their nightstands. (Raw butter is made with raw milk, which is not at all healthy or safe.)

In a video introducing herself to new followers, she says, "She's more into body slamming harmful ingredients and living her best life."

In 1999, she won a contest to become a World Championship Wrestling (WCW) Nitro Girls dancer, meaning her schedule was hella hectic: She was still cheerleading for the Ravens and a fulltime student while also dancing weekly with the Nitro Girls.

As the search nears the end of its second week, Cohen gave an update on the atmosphere at NBC's Today, where the community continues to hope for Nancy's safe return.

"I was on [Today] last week promoting my Super Bowl commercial and they were all so somber and sad," Cohen told PEOPLE earlier this week, referring to Savannah's colleagues, Craig Melvin,Jenna Bush Hager, Sheinelle Jones and Al Roker, who he says "really like" one big family.

"I know my way around a morning show and it’s not really like that at a lot of morning shows," the Bravo host continued, further calling the group "very close knit."

The Today show hosts have been sharing updates and any new information about Nancy's case during each Today show broadcast, while also sending messages of hope to Savannah and her family. "It feels like a movie," Cohen told the publication, calling the whole situation "surreal."

He continued, "I think there’s two reasons that it resonates so much. First of all, everybody loves Savannah Guthrie and second of all, we all are putting ourselves in her shoes. Everyone has a loved one you can picture being taken.

"It’s just terrible," he added.

'Star Trek’ Star Honors James Van Der Beek With Heartwarming Story

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 4:42pm

Anson Mount, best known for his roles in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Hell On Wheels, is honoring late actor James Van Der Beek.

In a February 11 X post, Mount shared that Van Der Beek, who died at the age of 48 after a battle with colorectal cancer, showed him kindness while he was feeling isolated at an entertainment industry party.

"I once met James Van Der Beek and his wife at a very glitzy Hollywood party where I felt completely out-of-place. They could not been kinder; completely content to sit in the corner and have a conversation with the least famous person there. I always appreciated that," wrote Mount in his post.

Mount shared more details about the interaction with Van Der Beek and his wife, Kimberly Van Der Beek, whom he wed in 2010, in a February 12 Instagram upload. In the video, he said that he was invited to an exclusive Hollywood party, where he was surrounded by "world-famous" celebrities. Mount recalled sitting alone on a couch when the Van Der Beeks struck up a conversation with him. According to Mount, the Dawson's Creek star and his wife seemed "completely content to have a nice meaningful conversation about real stuff" with him during the event.

The Star Trek: Discovery actor said he was grateful for the interaction because "it gave [him] an anchor that evening." In addition, he said he could immediately sense the couple's kindness and "the quality of their humanity."

Fans Shared They Appreciated Anson Mount's Memory of James Van Der Beek

Several fans took to the comments section of Mount's X post to share they appreciated his tribute to Van Der Beek, who shared six children with Kimberly.

"It is in moments like these that one recognizes a person's true character. Both could have ignored you, but they did not. Thank you for sharing this wonderful moment with us. I wish James' family much strength," wrote a commenter.

"How lovely to hear and a wonderful memory to have. Such a sad lose and so young," added another.

"In interviews he always came across as a genuinely nice man who despite his fame was always family comes first , a rare quality these days," shared a different person.

"Aw, that sounds sweet. Sounds like he was a nice guy. I would very much like to just sit down with you and have a quiet conversation, too," chimed in a fourth social media user.

Bethenny Frankel Shares Baseless Theory About Savannah Guthrie’s Mom’s Disappearance

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 4:32pm

As speculation intensifies over the disappearance of NBC’s Today show anchor Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Bethenny Frankel is floating a wild theory that another journalist could be involved.

The former Real Housewives of New York City star suggested on Instagram that details surrounding Savannah’s mother, Nancy, may point to someone in the media industry — possibly a reporter who once competed with Savannah for a job.

"They say that the ransom note was written by someone extremely articulate who has connections to TV stations in Arizona, and Savannah years ago worked at a TV station in Arizona," Bethenny shared. "They said that if the ransom were given that she would be returned in a matter of hours to Tucson."

She then added: "So is it like some competitive journalist that Savannah one got the gig, broke out and made all the big bucks, and that person has resentment and wants to get their payday that they deserve." Bethenny said she hadn’t previously heard the theory but found it logical.

Some commenters dismissed the idea, suggesting the abduction was likely a burglary gone wrong, while others wondered whether a recent segment Savannah filmed about her hometown may have drawn attention.

Savannah's 84-year-old mother vanished from her Tucson, Arizona, home in the early morning hours of February 1, 2026. She was last seen the night before, and investigators believe she may have been abducted after her doorbell camera was disabled at approximately 1:47 a.m. Savannah and her siblings have taken to social media, pleading for their mother's safe return.

Ring doorbell footage was shared of a masked person at Nancy's door. Meanwhile, the authorities have fielded thousands of tip calls. Most recently, a new ransom note tied to the disappearance was sent to TMZ, with the writer claiming they are “not being taken seriously.”

TMZ reports that the note, which arrived on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 11 a.m. ET, came from the same person who previously demanded bitcoin, roughly $65,000, in exchange for information. The author said the payment would allow them to go into hiding and avoid retaliation, adding they feared being “incriminated like that Carlos guy,” a reference to delivery driver Carlos Palazuelos, who was detained and later released without charge.

'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Star Taylor Armstrong Walks Back 'Embarrassing' Comments on Bad Bunny Halftime Show

Thu, 02/12/2026 - 4:26pm

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Taylor Armstrong has rethought her initial opinion of Bad Bunny's viral Super Bowl appearance, posting a lengthy reflection on her Instagram Story on the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 11.

Following Bad Bunny's top-viewed performance, Armstrong took to her Instagram Story with an image of herself in a gladiator costume and her viral cat meme, writing, “Were you entertained? I am embarrassed for the NFL and Apple for the Super Bowl halftime show totally in Spanish with a Cuban flag!!” Of note, Bad Bunny is Puerto Rican, not Cuban.

The 'RHOBH' Alum Walks Back Her Initial Statement

But, it seems Armstrong has had a change of heart, as she's now backtracking on her embarrassment, telling her followers that the original statement "did not fully reflect my heart or my respect for the artist and culture as a whole" and that the "diversity [of America] is [actually] something I truly respect."

Her harsh reaction came after she didn't "personally...connect with the creative direction of this year’s halftime show" at the "huge American tradition." But, she continued, "that doesn’t take away from the fact that Bad Bunny IS an American culture."

She also addressed her "lack of awareness" surrounding Latin culture which led her to mix up the Puerto Rican and Cuban flags and promised to "learn from this in the future."

The reality star noted she never meant any offense or hurt feelings over any culture or language. "I should have taken more time to reflect on my thoughts instead of impulsively posting misinformation in the moment," she said.

Armstrong concluded by sending her apologies "to the Latin community and anyone else I may have offended."

She continued, "I’m always learning, always growing, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify my heart and move forward with more thoughtfulness."

Another 'Real Houswives' Franchisee Also Found Herself in Hot Water Over Her Thoughts on the Halftime Show

Fellow Bravo star Jill Zarin also posted her critical opinion of the halftime show, though later deleted it. She called it “the worst halftime show ever” and said she didn’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish, noting it "looked like a political statement.” As a result, she was fired from the upcoming Real Housewives of New York reunion series and has reportedly been replaced by Dorinda Medley.

Zarin, for her part, noted that she "took [the video] down right away," suggesting that the production "didn’t even give me a chance."

"People make mistakes," she defended. "I’m human.”
