Why Jodie Foster Refused to Return to 'Silence of the Lambs' Sequel
After the unparalleled success that followed The Silence of the Lambs' release in 1991, it seemed almost certain that all of the movie's principal cast and crew would return for a sequel.
Scoring countless awards and other prestigious accolades, The Silence of the Lambs quickly became a pop culture sensation, its success matching (and in some cases surpassing) other notable horror properties of its era.
When looking ahead towards a potential sequel, however, the mixed reception of Thomas Harris' immediate literary follow-up, Hannibal, led many of the people attached to Hannibal to drop out of filming.
In addition to director Jonathan Demme turning down an offer to film a sequel, Silence of the Lambs star Jodie Foster similarly expressed discomfort at reprising her role in Hannibal, according to the new nonfiction book, Hannibal Lecter: A Life.
As per author Brian Raftery's claims, Foster was initially enthusiastic about the prospect of returning for a sequel to The Silence of the Lambs. With the release of Harris' Hannibal, however, the actor, who won an Academy Award for her role in Silence, chose to step away from the project, believing it "betrayed" the fundamental essence of the character she portrayed through Clarice Starling.
"I stand to make more money doing that sequel than I've ever made in my life," the Taxi Driver star said. "But who cares, if it betrays Clarice – who is a person, in some strange way, to me. The movie worked because people in her heroism. I won't play her with negative attributes she'd never have."
Of course, Foster is referring to the controversial ending of Harris' original Hannibal, which saw Clarice Starling willingly becoming Hannibal Lecter's cannibalistic lover. While Foster cited her pre-existing commitment to another film as the reason behind her exit from the role, she believed the sequel's ending "trampled" on Starling's role in The Silence of the Lambs.
“The official reason I didn’t do Hannibal is I was doing another movie, Flora Plum,” she told Total Film. “So I get to say, in a nice, dignified way, that I wasn’t available when that movie was being shot. But Clarice meant so much to Jonathan and me; she really did, and I know it sounds kind of strange to say, but there was no way that either of us could really trample on her.”
Tyra Banks Teases 'America's Next Top Model' Will Return for Cycle 25: 'My Work is Not Done'
The former host of America's Next Top Model and supermodel Tyra Banks is ready to find the next big talent in modeling. In the new Netflix docuseries, she teases that the controversial competition series will return for a new cycle.
Netflix docuseries Reality Check: Inside America's Next Top Model, which airs on Feb. 16, is ready to blow the lid on the behind-the-scenes of the series most talked about drama, tears, and scandals. As part of looking back on ANTM, Banks reveals she's ready to return and bring back new faces for Cycle 25.
"I feel like my work is not done. You have no idea what we have planned for cycle 25," she said, according to Entertainment Weekly.
ANTM, Banks, or the rest of the cast have yet to make an official announcement of a new season. In 2018, during press for Life-Size 2, Banks had also spoken about reviving the series for Cycle 25, and it possibly being an all-star season with fan favorites.
The reality series aired in May 2003 wth UPN before moving to The CW until 2015. ANTM ended its run in 2018 on VH1 with a total of 24 seasons. Banks had returned as its main host after Rita Ora stepped in for one cycle, with Law Roach,Ashley Graham, and Drew Elliott as its main judges.
Reality Check: Inside America's Next Top Model is set to tackle the controversy that has surrounded the series since its inception. With Banks finally speaking out on its most problematic moments, like the ethnicity-switch photoshoot, over-the-top makeovers, and accusations of body shaming.

The former contestants will get the chance to clear the air on Banks' decisions and their experience, with Banks admitting in the docuseries that she did go "too far" at times.
Who Was Lauren Bessette? The Untold Story of the Third Passenger in JFK Jr.'s 1999 Plane Crash
When people think about the 1999 plane crash that took the lives of John F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, they tend to overlook the third victim in the tragedy—Lauren Bessette.
But with the Feb. 12 release of Ryan Murphy’s new limited series Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette on FX and hulu, viewers will finally get to know Carolyn's big sister.
Lauren was just 34 when she boarded the private plane piloted by the son of former President John F. Kennedy and her fashion publicist sister Carolyn on July 16, 1999. Hours later, all three would die when the plane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean, just off Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.
Although Lauren didn’t dominate the headlines like JFK Jr. and Carolyn, her loss left a profound hole in the lives of those who loved her and she deserves to be remembered. Read on to learn more about Lauren, her career accomplishments, and how she’ll be portrayed in the upcoming Love Story show.
What was Lauren Bessette’s early life in Connecticut like?Lauren’s parents were William Bessette—an architectural engineer—and Ann Bessette, a teacher and administrator. An identical twin, Lauren and her sister Lisa Ann were born on November 5, 1964 in White Plains, New York. The three sisters were all raised together in Greenwich, Connecticut. Eventually, their parents divorced and Ann later married Richard Freeman, an orthopedic surgeon.
Lauren attended Greenwich High School, where she enjoyed volunteering in an all-female community service group. She went on to attend Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York, where she majored in economics and was a star student. “You would like to have a roomful of Laurens,” her Monetary Theory and Policy professor Daniel McGowan told The Observer. “She was fun to have in class, because she was interested in the subject, wanting to learn, not afraid of entering something that had been sort of male-dominated.”
After her college graduation, Lauren landed a job at the esteemed investment banking firm Morgan Stanley and relocated to Hong Kong, China. While living there, Lauren became fluent in Mandarin and enjoyed spending time on Lantau Island, just a short ferry ride away. She was also known to be adventurous and truly immersed herself in the local culture.

Lauren Bessette’s high-powered career at Morgan StanleyAccording to The Observer, Morgan Stanley’s Hong Kong office promoted Lauren to Vice President in 1996. After four years executing capital-markets transactions in Hong Kong, she moved back to the U.S. to work out of Morgan Stanley’s New York offices in 1998. That December, she was promoted from Vice President to Principal—just one level below Managing Director in the company hierarchy. Lauren’s role was to pitch investment ideas to the firm’s major private equity clients.
Where did Lauren Bessette live? After Lauren received her promotion, she purchased a $925,000 artist’s loft in Manhattan, only a few blocks from where sister Carolyn lived with husband John.
Was Lauren Bessette married? No, but she was rumored to be dating JFK Jr.’s first cousin—and Maria Shriver’s brother— Bobby Shriver.

According to Elizabeth Beller’s book Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, Lauren decided to travel with John and Carolyn in order to visit Bobby—an attorney and journalist—along with other friends in Martha’s Vineyard. The plan was to first drop Lauren there before he and Carolyn continued on to Cape Cod for the wedding of his cousin, Rory Kennedy.
How did friends describe Lauren?"She was so humble yet so smart and poised," Adam Clammer told Town & Country. “She had a huge heart.” Lauren loved to travel on the weekends. While she did enjoy New York City's nightlife, she also enjoyed the arts, attending the ballet and opera. Giving back was another passion and she often attended and supported charity fundraisers and events.
How close were Carolyn and Lauren?Carolyn and Lauren were extremely close and spent a lot of time together, especially after Lauren moved to Tribeca, the same neighborhood where Carolyn and JFK Jr. resided. “Every time I saw them together it was just smiles and laughter and sometimes serious conversation," Lauren's colleague Chip Arndt told Town & Country. "You could really tell that they were each other’s confidantes in that regard."

Any trip to Trader Joe's is basically an attack on your weekly grocery budget. Forget leaving the store with any sort of "normal" haul. If you're lucky enough to keep your budget intact, you've probably still made a few sacrifices to justify the delicious treats you're bringing home.
That said, I'm not judging; this is my exact TJ's experience every time I walk through those fateful automatic doors. And with Valentine's Day just around the corner, there is no way I'm skipping the chance to bring home a new indulgent treat, no matter how much I promised to stick to my grocery list.

As luck would have it, a seasonal run of Raspberry Mousse Cakes recently landed in stores for just $3.99. Naturally, I wasted no time grabbing a box to try for myself. What I wasn't ready for was the urge to devour all six pieces in one sitting.
Raspberry Mousse Cakes, $3.99 at Trader Joe'sNathan Hutsenpiller
Sold in a six-count, five-ounce container for just $4, Trader Joe's Raspberry Mousse Cakes are truly just as delightful to eat as they are to look at. Light, delicate and bursting with bright berry flavor, each bite takes you on a sweet, tart and texturally sublime journey, perfect as an indulgent treat for yourself or a thoughtful gift for a loved one.
Whether you're snacking on one after a romantic meal or hoarding all six for a quick midday treat, these mousse cakes deliver on every level. They start with a thick layer of moist vanilla cake topped with silky raspberry-flavored mousse, all enrobed in a sweet confectionery coating and shaped just like a raspberry, complete with a green edible decorative leaf. Beyond their decadent flavor, the attention to detail and vibrant color are the first things that will win you over, followed by the moist, satisfying bite.

A Beautiful Gift That Tastes as Good as It LooksNathan Hutsenpiller
Made by Trader Joe's own pastry chef, who clearly knows a thing or two about refined treats, it's no wonder every bite makes you want to devour the whole container. While these mousse cakes shine as an after-dinner indulgence with fresh raspberries or a dollop of whipped cream, there really is no wrong way or specific time to enjoy them.
I found them delicious on their own and appreciated how each bite was soft, rich and full of raspberry flavor without being overpowering. I could easily see them shining as part of a party snack spread alongside seasonal charcuterie and sweet and savory sips.
Nathan Hutsenpiller
Trader Joe's even suggests a slightly more formal pairing: serve them with a hot cup of coffee or a chilled glass of sparkling wine. Whether it's just you and a loved one or a full party of guests, having these mousse cakes on hand is a guaranteed way to get everyone talking. Paired with a bouquet of flowers, they also make a budget-friendly gift for that special someone in your life.
If a raspberry-flavored mousse cake sounds like your jam, make sure you head to Trader Joe's before they're gone for the season. I'd suggest grabbing a couple of containers while you're at it; that way, you can cross off some gift shopping in the process. While you're there, check out Trader Joe's velvety brie cheese spread and PB&J oat bites for even more essential snack finds.

Nicole Richie’s 18-Year-Old Daughter Recreates Her Mom’s Iconic Angel Wings Tattoo
Nicole Richie's daughter, Kate Madden, 18, recently debuted a back tattoo that perfectly mirrors her mom's iconic angel wings. Sharing the new ink on Instagram on Feb. 8, Kate revealed small, delicate wings etched across the center of her upper back.
In the post, Kate showed off her long jet-black hair and a stunning gold dress with an open back, which highlighted two butterfly details and her brand-new tattoo. She simply captioned the post with an angel wing emoji, with her mom commenting, "♥️♥️♥️."
View this post on InstagramFans couldn't help but feel nostalgic seeing Kate's new tattoo, recalling when Richie debuted her iconic wing design in the early 2000's. While her daughter's wings sit in the middle of her upper back, Richie's angel wings are slightly lower and more spread out.

Fans in the comment section immediately spotted the nod to her mom, writing things like, "you got the same tattoo as your mom! ❤️" While another wrote, "Twinning tats is ICONIC 🪽🪽✨" and "Angel wings like her mama ❤️😍."
Richie and her husband, Good Charlotte lead singer Joel Madden, welcomed Kate, who was born Harlow Winter Kate Madden, on Jan. 11, 2008. The couple welcomed a son, Sparrow James Midnight Madden, on Sept. 9, 2009.
Kate recently celebrated her milestone 18th birthday, with Richie sharing a heartfelt Instagram post featuring her favorite photos of Kate from her childhood to now.
She captioned the post, "18 years of you ♥️🎂," and tagged her daughter. In the comment section, her dad wrote, "That’s my girl ❤️✨."
After Richie posted her birthday shoutout, fans wondered why her daughter's Instagram handle was Kate instead of Harlow. Richie explained to People, "Yeah, she goes by her middle name. She has her whole life." It's actually a choice that's more common than many realize.
Aldi Just Brought Back Its Cordless Stick Vacuum—Here's What Customers Really Think About It
If you shop at Aldi regularly, you already know the thrill of a good Aldi Find. Some items hit the shelves and disappear almost instantly—only to return a year (or less) later because demand was just that strong. It's part of the fun. You spot something once, regret not grabbing it, and then feel personally victorious when it comes back around.
That said, not every Aldi Find is created equal. The goal is always to offer an affordable solution—whether it's for your kitchen, closet, travel or cleaning routine—but sometimes the performance doesn't quite match the hype. And, really, that's to be expected. When you're buying at a lower price point, there can be trade-offs in durability, power or longevity. Some products end up being hidden gems you'll rave about. Others? Maybe better suited for lighter-duty use.
Aldi's Ambiano Cordless Cyclonic Stick Vacuum is one such find that gets a lot of questions from shoppers about whether or not it's worth buying. And it's back, baby, for yet another go-around in-store. While the vacuum cost just $69.99 in previous years, in February 2026, it cost $79.99 in the Aldi Finds aisle. That's still a great price for a vacuum, but is it worth it?
Ambiano Cordless Cyclonic Stick Vacuum, $79.99 at AldiAldi
This vacuum is essentially a two-in-one. You can use it as a full stick vacuum for doing your floors, or pop it off and use it as a handheld for quick cleanups—think crumbs on the couch, car seats or that random mess in the corner. After about five hours of charging, you'll get around 18 minutes of runtime on max power, or up to 32 minutes if you switch to eco mode—which is usually plenty for a quick once-over.
Related: Walmart’s $4 Hoodie Is 'Soft,' 'Cozy,' and It Comes in 24 Colors
It also comes with a small brush attachment for detail cleaning, a long crevice tool for tight spots (baseboards, between couch cushions, etc.), and a wall mount so you can store it neatly and keep it charged.
But what do Aldi shoppers on Reddit say about the Ambiano Cordless Cyclonic Stick Vacuum? Eh, they're not huge fans, though some are more fond of it than others.
"I bought one last year and it broke after two months," said a Redditor. "Unfortunately I couldn't find the receipt so customer service was not able to help me with replacement parts. Before it broke, it was ok, not amazing."
However, another person on the same Reddit thread gives it a positive review. "I love mine," they wrote. "I bought two, one for the school library where I work and one for home. If I find them again I will get one for my parents."
If you try it, make sure to keep your Aldi receipt handy so you can return it if it doesn't meet your expectations.

XOXO,
54. Dear,

Love you more,
55. Babe,
Orange you glad we met so many years ago? I’m not half the man I juiced to be thanks to you. You’re my zest friend and I love you so much.
Love,
56. Sweetie,
My love for you is 100% organic and my kisses are locally sourced. I know that’s how you like it.

FDA Issues Urgency Level 1 Alert for Cake Mixes: What the ‘Death Risk’ Recall Means for Your Kitchen
Baking a batch of cookies or bread should be a cozy kitchen ritual, but a new nationwide alert is turning up the heat on food safety. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has escalated a recall involving 866 bags of cake and bread mixes to a Class I designation — its most urgent and serious warning level.
This "highest danger" classification isn't issued lightly. According to the FDA’s website, a Class I recall involves a "situation in which there is a reasonable probability that the use of or exposure to a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death."
The ‘Death’ Risk: Why the FDA Escalated the Danger LevelThe recall, which originally began in late December 2025, involves products from Dallas-based distribution company B.C. Williams Bakery Service. The risk stems from an undeclared milk allergen hidden within the mixes.
While milk is a pantry staple for many, for those with severe allergies, it is a silent threat. Milk allergies are among the most common food allergies, especially in children, and can trigger everything from hives and vomiting to anaphylaxis—a life-threatening reaction that requires immediate medical intervention. Because the allergen was not properly labeled, consumers may be unknowingly serving up a "death" risk.
Is Your Pantry Affected? Recalled Batches and Lot NumbersThe FDA alert covers three specific types of mixes distributed in large, 50-pound bags. While these are often used by commercial bakeries or large-scale food services, the agency is urging everyone in the supply chain to double-check their inventory.
The recalled items include:
- Spice Cake Mix — Batch 221 (51 bags)
- Swiss Chocolate Cake Mix — Lot #072925-220 and Lot #071825-36 (95 bags)
- Bread and Roll Mix — Multiple Lot numbers including #072225-217 through #101725-209 (720 bags)
"The mixes may contain an undeclared milk allergen that could trigger life-threatening reactions in people with milk allergies."
The Big Questions: Where and Who is at Risk?As of February 12, 2026, the FDA is still working to clarify exactly which states received these 50-pound bags, though the Dallas-based origin suggests a heavy concentration in the Southern and Midwestern regions.
What to know- Who is most at risk? Anyone with a diagnosed milk allergy or sensitivity. If you have purchased baked goods from local bakeries recently, you may want to inquire about their flour and mix sources.
- What should I do if I have these bags? Do not use them. The FDA advises businesses to dispose of the product immediately or return it to the point of purchase for a full refund.
- Have there been any injuries? It was "not immediately clear whether injuries had been reported," but the Class I upgrade suggests the FDA is taking no chances with public safety.
Whether you are a professional baker or just someone who enjoys a weekend treat, staying informed on these "highest danger" alerts is the best way to keep your kitchen—and your family—safe.

Megan Thee Stallion's NBA Star Boyfriend Reacts to Her Birthday Surprise: 'Thanks to My Baby'
NBA star Klay Thompson had one clear message after his 36th birthday celebration: gratitude for his girlfriend, Megan Thee Stallion.
The Dallas Mavericks guard shared photos and videos from his birthday weekend and called it his “Best birthday ever thanks to my baby. I’m still on cloud East 99.”
Thompson’s post came after the Grammy-winning rapper planned a full day of surprises, from a beach picnic to a star-studded party featuring one of his favorite rap groups.
Megan, who captioned her own post simply “Klay Day ⚓️💙,” documented the special moments on Instagram. The couple looked relaxed, happy and very much in love as they celebrated together with family and friends.

Megan Thee Stallion Plans Epic ‘Klay Day’ Birthday SurpriseThe celebration began with a quiet beachside picnic. Megan wore a white halter dress with black polka dots and an open back. She paired it with chunky bracelets and soft glam makeup. Thompson kept it simple in a white shirt and matching shorts.
View this post on InstagramBlankets were spread out near the water. A low table held fruit and pastries. In one clip, Thompson changed into swim trunks and ran into the ocean while Megan watched and laughed.
View this post on InstagramIn her earlier caption teasing the day, Megan wrote, “The first half of KLAY DAY Happy Birthday to my babyyyyy I can’t wait for you to see your next surprise.” That surprise turned out to be much bigger than fans expected.
View this post on InstagramLater that night, the couple changed outfits for a large birthday bash. Megan stepped out in a bold red halter gown with a deep neckline and open back. Thompson wore an all-white comfy look for the evening. The party space was softly lit and filled with cheering guests.
The biggest highlight was a live performance by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Thompson has shared in the past that the group was his favorite while growing up and the first concert he ever attended. During the party, the couple slow-danced as the group performed “The Crossroads.” Videos showed Thompson rapping along word for word while holding Megan close.
The night also included a sailor-themed cake, a nod to Thompson’s love for sailing. A Michael Jackson impersonator added to the entertainment, making the event feel like a full concert experience rather than a simple birthday party.
Megan posted a photobooth snapshot that included Thompson’s parents. Everyone smiled brightly for the camera. In another sweet moment, Thompson kissed Megan on the cheek as they posed together.
The couple first sparked romance rumors in July 2025 before going Instagram official. They later made their red carpet debut at Megan’s Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York. Since then, they’ve shared small but meaningful glimpses into their relationship.
For Thompson, who is navigating a challenging NBA season with the Mavericks, the celebration offered a bright moment off the court. And for fans, it was another reminder that this high-profile couple continues to grow stronger in the spotlight.

Kate Middleton Shines Spotlight on Children’s Mental Health Week During School Visit
Kate Middleton expressed the importance of children's mental health while visiting Castle Hill Academy as part of her long-standing charity commitment. The visit from the Princess of Wales marked the start of Children's Mental Health Week.
The week was organized by the charity Place2Be, which began raising awareness around the subject in 2015. Kate has been a patron and worked closely with the charity since 2013 as a long-term champion to help nurture and improve emotional well-being in children from an early age.
The Princess of Wales, 44, was photographed waving and saying "hello" to the young, eager students at Castle Hill Academy in Croydon, South London, on Feb. 12. She wore a laid-back but polished outfit with a red-brown blazer, matching trousers, loafers, and a pale blue button-up shirt.
Castle Hill Academy has worked closely with Pace2Be to implement mental health and wellbeing in the daily lives of their students through their Whole School Approach. Kate was photographed engaging with the younger students at the school's Early Years outdoor play space that promotes emotional regulation, sensory exploration, and creative play.
She also took the time to sit down with the school's faculty and help the young students in the art studio. The children took part in an art project where they created "belonging maps" that include places, people, and experiences that help them feel safe.
After her visit, the Princess of Wales posted on her official X account about the experience and importance of the event.
"This year's Place2Be Children’s Mental Health Week is about the importance of belonging. It can be easy to overlook the importance of the things that matter most; love, care and time spent together. Belonging and connection is so important, and is a fundamental part of early childhood development. As Patron of Place2Be, I am incredibly proud of the work they do to support families and communities to nurture children and young people - C," she said.

The Super Cute 3-Ingredient Valentine’s Snack Your Whole Family Will Love
Every year, I swear I’m going to be more organized about Valentine’s Day—and every year, without fail, reality hits. Valentine's Day comes at a tricky time, right after what always feels like a longJanuary and right in the middle of Mardi Gras season and usually during a stretch when I’m still trying to find my footing again after the holidays. Between school schedules, work, parades and King Cake, elaborate crafts and Valentine's-themed desserts just don't seem super doable.
On the other hand, I do want to start doing more Valentine’s things with my kids. Just something small that says, “Hey, this day is special,” ideally without requiring glitter, piping bags or a full grocery run. Bonus points if it's an activity they can participate in with me.
That’s why simple festive craft and food ideas are my go-to right now, and content creator Shannon Dougherty absolutely gets it. She shares a lot of easy, low-stress recipes and "mom hacks," and her oh-so-cute three-ingredient Valentine’s Day pretzel hearts immediately went on my must-make list.
These little treats caught my attention for a few reasons: They're super easy to make, they require minimal ingredients and equipment and they're so simple that your kids can get in on the fun too! For all of those reasons, they sounded like a Valentine’s Day win to me. Read on for my full review of these kid-friendly sweets and learn how to make them yourself.

This ingredient list for this recipe (if you can call it that) is almost comically short. You'll need pretzel twists or waffle pretzels, Hershey kisses and conversation hearts (or any type of small candy heart).
For the kisses, you can mix things up and go with any flavor you like. I used Hershey's Hugs, which are a combo of milk chocolate and white chocolate. For the candy hearts, I went with a bag of conversation hearts I found at Target that included green apple, watermelon, lemon and blue raspberry flavors, which immediately made these more exciting than the traditional version of the classic candies. The colors pop, and the flavors actually taste good.
Other than those three ingredients, you just need a baking sheet and an oven.

♬ Sogni ancora - Piero Piccioni How To Make Valentine’s Pretzel KissesStart by preheating your oven to 350°F and optionally lining a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. I skipped that second step, though, because I was making a small batch, so I just used a baking dish and popped it into the dishwasher when everything was done (but lining the pan does make for ultra-easy cleanup).
Arrange the pretzels in a single layer in the pan, leaving a little space between each one. Unwrap the Hershey kisses and place one in the center of each pretzel.
Courtesy Angel Albring
Slide the pan into the oven and bake just until the chocolate softens, which took about 3 minutes for me. You’re not looking for melted puddles here, but you also don't want the chocolate to be too solid in the center.
Remove the pan from the oven and immediately press a candy heart gently into the top of each kiss. The chocolate will spread a bit and grab onto the heart, acting like edible glue.
Once the pretzels are topped, let them cool completely on the pan. As the chocolate firms back up, everything sets into a neat little stack that’s easy to pick up.

My Honest Thoughts About These 3-Ingredient Valentine's TreatsThis is exactly the kind of recipe I want in my life: super simple, fun and foolproof. If you can unwrap candy and turn on an oven, you can make this dessert.
Courtesy Angel Albring
Both the taste and texture of these pretzel kisses are simple but satisfying. You get the crunch and saltiness from the pretzel, smooth chocolate from the kiss and a little pop of fruity sweetness from the candy heart. It’s a surprisingly good balance of salty-chocolatey-fruity flavors, and the flavored hearts really make a difference.
The biggest surprise for me was how much I liked the non-traditional candy heart flavors. Green apple and blue raspberry shouldn’t work with chocolate, but somehow it did!
These treats are perfect for school treats, party trays or just something festive after dinner. Of course, they're also great for making with the kiddos as a special (but low-effort) Valentine's snack.

Tips for Making This TreatCourtesy Angel Albring
1. Keep an eye on themWhen baking the pretzel kisses, keep a close eye on the oven. If you bake them for too long, the Kisses will get too melty and lose their shape.
2. Wait for a secondFor cleaner edges, let the pretzel Kisses sit for about 30 seconds after coming out of the oven before adding the candy hearts. This helps the chocolate hold its shape even after a candy heart is pressed in.
3. Use what you likeIf you don’t have candy hearts (or can't get behind pairing a fruity candy with chocolate), M&M’s and sprinkles work well as toppers.
4. How to stash and storeThe pretzel kisses will keep in an airtight container at room temperature for several days. If your house is warm, refrigerate them so the chocolate doesn't get melty, then bring them back to room temperature before serving. These treats also travel well, which makes them great for dropping off with neighbors or loved ones. Pop them in cute Valentine's-themed treat bags for an extra-special touch.

The 1971 Teen Heartbreak Single That Made Girls Swoon Hit No. 1 Twice
In 1971, a teen heartbreak hit had girls everywhere swooning—and it topped the charts twice. But was it really the first time it reached No. 1?
Donny Osmond scored the top spot on Billboard's charts with "Go Away Little Girl" on September 11, 1971. The song would remain on the charts for 15 weeks.
Osmond was a bona fide superstar at that time. The 1971 release of the song was pivotal in making him a massive 1970s teen idol. At just 13-years-old, he cemented his status with "Puppy Love," making him a teen idol to millions of teenage girls.
With his boyish charm and signature purple socks, Osmond became one of the decade’s most recognizable faces. Magazine covers, sold-out concerts and nonstop fan mail cemented his status.

However, just eight years prior, another teen idol had a hit with the same song. Steve Lawrence, who would later have a successful career as an entertainer alongside his wife, Eydie Gormé, hit No. 1 with "Go Away Little Girl" in 1963. The song was originally written by the remarkable songwriting duo of Gerry Goffin and Carole King in 1962 for teen idol Bobby Vee.
"Go Away Little Girl" was one of many covers Osmond would hit the charts with, per History. His other memorable reinterpretations of classic pop hits included "Puppy Love" (Paul Anka), "Why" (Frankie Avalon), "Too Young" (Nat King Cole), "The Twelfth Of Never" (Johnny Mathis) and “Are You Lonesome Tonight” by Elvis Presley.
The entertainer would hit the Top 10 a total of six times throughout his six-decade career. "Go Away Little Girl" was his only solo No. 1, but he did rank at the second spot with his career comeback hit, 1989's "Soldier of Love," as well as 1972's "Puppy Love" at No. 3, 1971's "Sweet and Innocent" at No. 7, "The Twelfth of Never" at No. 8 and finally, "Hey Girl/I Knew You When" at No. 9 in 1972.
Donny Osmond's career in the entertainment industry is ongoing. He is a headliner of a residency at Harrah's Showroom at Harrah's Las Vegas, with dates extended through May 2026.
Forget Leggings: 2 Celebrity Stylists Share the 7 Airport Outfits That Actually Look Polished
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
If you’ve ever struggled to feel both comfortable and polished while traveling, the right airport outfit can completely change how you approach travel days. Between unpredictable cabin temperatures, long stretches of sitting and limited suitcase space, what you wear matters more than you think.
As a frequent flyer who covers fashion and travel essentials for outlets like Coveteur, Martha Stewart and Travel + Leisure, I’ve learned that regardless of how long travel days are, I always like to look presentable while still being comfortable. You never know who you’ll meet on a plane—or when you might need to go straight from the airport to a meeting, dinner or event—and feeling good in what you’re wearing makes all the difference.
To find the most effortlessly chic airport outfits that still feel comfortable, I spoke with two celebrity stylists, Rap Sarmiento and Stephanie “Lex” Alexandris, about the outfit formulas they swear by and the styling tricks that make travel days feel easier. “Airport dressing comes down to a formula of function, comfort and style,” Sarmiento says.
Ahead, seven effortlessly chic airport outfit ideas stylists swear by.

Best Airport Outfits, According to Celebrity Stylists1. Terrycloth or Velour Matching SetSoft lounge fabrics have become a go-to for travel because they provide comfort without requiring much styling effort, making them ideal for long flights and layered airport looks. “Terrycloth and velour sets are great for travel because plane temperatures are unpredictable,” says Alexandris. You could be freezing or overheated, so these midweight fabrics give you flexibility and make layering easy.”

2. Cashmere Wrap, Dress Shirt and SweatpantsMixing relaxed pieces with more structured layers helps create an outfit that feels intentional while still allowing for movement and comfort throughout the day. “A cashmere wrap layered over a dress shirt with tailored sweatpants is one of my favorite airport formulas,” Alexandris says. “It’s incredibly comfortable, but it still feels intentional and polished.”
3. Go for MonochromeChoosing a single color palette is a simple way to make an outfit feel cohesive and elevated, even when the pieces themselves are casual. “Monochrome is always a chic shortcut,” Alexandris says. “Wearing one color head to toe—even if it’s slightly different textures— instantly makes you look longer, leaner and more polished.”
4. Statement CoatOuterwear often plays a bigger role in airport style than the outfit underneath, especially when it’s worn for most of the journey. “Airport dressing really comes down to a formula of function, comfort and style,” says Sarmiento “A stylish and lightweight coat instantly elevates any outfit and can also double as a blanket.”
5. Classic Tee and Casual PantsWell-chosen basics can feel refined when proportions and fit are considered, making them a reliable option for airport dressing. “I always think about how I want to present myself to my destination,” says Sarmiento. “A classic and comfortable outfit makes the experience feel a little more fabulous—who wants to land looking like they just rolled out of bed?” For myself, a T-shirt and loose jeans are one of my go-to airport outfits.
I gravitate toward a fresh, oversized boyfriend tee paired with cozy, tailored pants, loafers or sandals, and a long cardigan. Sticking to neutral colors always makes me feel polished and put together, even on early departures.

6. All About the AccessoriesWhatever you’re wearing to the airport, don’t overlook the accessories you’re carrying—sometimes they can make the entire outfit. A structured bag, sleek sunglasses, or thoughtful footwear can elevate even the simplest travel look. For Sarmiento, the carry-on is just as important as the clothing itself. “I love the Landon Carryall by Dagne Dover,” he says. “The neoprene bag is lightweight, washable and has plenty of pockets for all your knick-knacks.”
When chosen thoughtfully, accessories complete the look without overwhelming it—polished, practical and ready for whatever the travel day brings.
7. The One-and-Done Shirt DressA longer shirt dress is a very effortless way to dress for the airport, especially if you’re headed somewhere warm. This dress's sleeves and silhouette are elegant, yet it’s incredibly comfortable for long travel days. It also has pockets, which is a huge bonus. Wearing a shirt dress is one of my favorite low-effort outfits for the airport because it instantly looks polished without much styling or thought. If the cabin gets chilly, you can easily layer a cardigan or jacket on top without compromising comfort. I typically pair shirt dresses with clean white sneakers or simple flats for an easy, streamlined finish.

Did Donna Kelce Sign an NDA About Travis and Taylor Swift’s Wedding Plans? She Says …
Did she or didn’t she … ? During an exclusive airport interview with TMZ, Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, revealed whether or not she had to sign an NDA about her son’s upcoming wedding plans to Taylor Swift.
"They know I can keep a secret," Donna , 73, told the cameraman with a smile.
Taylor, 36, and Travis, 36, got engaged on August 26, 2025, after a two-year relationship. At the moment, it’s unclear when the A-list couple will officially say, “I do,” but what is clear is that we’re not going to find out any details from Mama Kelce.
Wedding planning aside, the 14-time Grammy winner and the three-time Super Bowl champion are still very much in the public eye. This past weekend, Travis was seen living it up at Super Bowl LX — which marked the tight end’s first time not playing in the Big Game in three years.
The Kansas City Chiefs ended their heartbreaking 2025 season with a 6–11 record, missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014, and closed the year with a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
As for Taylor, on Friday, February 6, she released a star-studded music video for her new single, “Opalite,” off her 13th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Aldi's Heart-Shaped Cheeses Are Taking Over Valentine's Day Charcuterie Boards
Charcuterie boards and their accompaniments have been taking the internet by storm for years, and the trend doesn't seem to be settling down. Grocery stores and cheese markets continue to introduce new and unique cheese varieties, providing ample opportunities for seasonally-appropriate snacking arrangements that people can't get enough of.
Aldi is at the top of the list for eccentric flavor mash-ups of global cheeses. Shoppers go wild for them because they're ever-changing, and the price tag makes them much more affordable than fancy cheese shops. This month, they're offering three heart-shaped varieties that'll get you in the mood for a Valentine's Day spread.
Aldi Is Offering a Valentine's Day-Inspired Cheese Selection @laurennat13Aldi just dropped the CUTEST Valentine’s cheese and I’m obsessed ❤️🧀 These heart-shaped flavors are perfect for charcuterie boards, date nights, girls’ nights, or a fun family snack. Seasonal Aldi finds always sell out fast and these are too adorable to pass up! @ALDI USA #heartshape #valentinessnacks #charcuterie #foodiefinds
♬ Strawberry - Prod. By RoseTwo of the newcomers are Wensleydale cheeses, the classic British cow's-milk variety celebrated for its mild, sweet yet tangy flavor with subtle hints of lemon. Aldi is introducing a few twists on the original, including an unexpected Gin & Rhubarb option made with fresh raspberries. Prefer something a bit more dessert-like? The Raspberry & White Chocolate version promises a "burst of sweetness in every bite," according to the budget-friendly retailer.
The third, and most expected, flavor is a classic English Mature Cheddar, which is bold, sharp, and nutty. Each limited-edition block is wrapped in a festive package, screaming to be tossed in the cart along with a sleeve of crackers, a few crisp veggies and a jar of olives.

What Are Fans Saying About the Heart-Shaped Cheese Blocks? Many fans of Aldi's cheese selection are thrilled for the Valentine's Day creations. "I like gin and I like rhubarb and I like cheese but I would not think of it together. I would, if I see it, probably try it!" said one Facebook commenter. "I'm really excited to try [this] one because I love rhubarb," exclaimed another person. "These are way better than those conversation heart candies," exclaimed one more fan.
Others are skeptical about the unique flavor combinations. "I love their cheese, but I think I'd have to pass on the gin and rhubarb!" said one person. "I completely understand. I am weirdly excited to try them all," commented another.
Others have been displaying their charcuterie creations on social media, featuring the "day of love" cheeses as part of a celebratory platter. One user shared a board adorned with all three cheeses cut into hearts, fresh strawberries and raspberries, bagel crisps, rolled prosciutto and pistachios on a heart-shaped charger.
"Pretty cool find at a reasonable price," said one excited shopper regarding the cheeses. Each 5.3-ounce block retails for just $3.99. They'll be flying off shelves this week, so don't forget to grab one—or all—flavors for an easy, delightful Valentine's Day snack board.
What Other Valentine's Day Goodies Is Aldi Selling? One TikTokuser shared a heart-shaped platter Aldi is selling that would make for the perfect vehicle to house cheese, cured meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, briny goods, nuts and spreads. Plus, the shelves are lined with Valentine's Day kitchen towels, oven mitts, tumblers, and heart-shaped cast-iron Dutch ovens, pie dishes, plates and ramekins, so you can get your entire dining space ready for the holiday. These festive pieces will be gone fast, so you might want to make an Aldi trip ASAP.

7 Haircuts for 2026 That Make Thin Hair Look Fuller, According to Celebrity Stylists
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
If you have thin hair, you already know the struggle. Styles fall flat by midday, ponytails look sparse, layers that were meant to add movement somehow do the opposite and somehow, no amount of volumizing or texturizing spray can help.
The truth is, thin hair doesn’t need more product—it needs the right cut. Strategic shaping, subtle layering and thoughtful lengths can create the illusion of fullness by boosting movement, adding lift at the roots and preventing ends from looking wispy or weighed down. When done correctly, a haircut can make hair appear thicker, healthier and far more dynamic without constant styling. It's all about finding something that works with the hair’s natural density, not against.
The key is customization. Face shape, hair texture, growth patterns and lifestyle all play a role in what will actually work long-term. To cut through all of the guesswork, we consulted celebrity hairstylists to find the seven best haircuts to make thin hair look fuller in 2026. From tousled waves and lifted side parts to invisible layers and blunt lobs, we've got all of the hairdo inspiration you need for the year ahead. Read on for everything you need to know.

How Can I Make My Thin, Fine Hair Look Fuller? If thin, fine hair is your reality, making it look fuller comes down to a few strategic cuts. According to celebrity hairstylist Hayley Heckmann, who has worked with the likes of Iggy Azalea and Sofia Grainge, it all starts with the foundation.
"You want to make sure you get the right haircut, use the right products and style it correctly," she explains. The key is that none of this is one-size-fits-all. "All these tips are dependent on your hair’s density and texture," Heckmann says, which is why a cut that adds subtle structure, paired with lightweight volumizing products and intentional styling, can completely change how fine hair behaves.
When all three work together, thin hair doesn’t just look fuller—it holds shape, moves better and actually lasts throughout the day.

What Is the Best Hairstyle for Very Thin Hair? For very thin hair, styles that build texture and movement are your best friend. "Curling or waving your hair adds instant volume," says Heckmann, noting that ultra-straight styles can have the opposite effect since "straight hair will make your hair look thinner."
Technique matters just as much as the cut—she recommends "blow drying your hair upside down to add volume," then locking it in by "setting your hair in rollers" for extra lift and longevity. The finishing touch is texture.
"Using a texture spray helps create added texture and can give the illusion of thicker hair," Heckmann says, adding that she loves TRESemmé A List Collection Dry Texturizing Spray for giving fine hair grip without weighing it down.

This lightly textured, undone look proves that fullness doesn’t have to mean overstyled. "I love this undone texture Margot Robbie did," says Heckmann. "It’s adding texture and enhancing her natural hair." For thin hair, especially as it becomes finer with age, this style works because it builds dimension without stripping density through heavy layers.
If you have naturally fine hair, Heckmann recommends adding TRESemmé A List Collection All-in-One Primer to damp hair and braid four to six big sections, explaining, "Once your hair is dry, take them out and you’ll have natural added texture without using any heat." The result is full of movement and body that feels natural—and is far easier to maintain than a highly sculpted cut.
2. Lifted Side PartTaylor Hill/Getty Images
A lifted side part is one of the simplest ways to fake fullness instantly, and it’s especially flattering on thinner, more mature hair that tends to fall flat at the crown. "Adding a side part is such an easy trick to add lift to any style," Heckmann says. "I love how voluminous Hailey’s hair looks here."
By shifting the weight of the hair, a side part creates height and depth where fine hair often needs it most. At the salon, Heckmann suggests asking for "a voluminous side part with a pretty glam wave," which gives structure without stiffness. At home, even a subtle switch from your usual part using a soft brush can make hair look noticeably thicker.
3. Invisible LayersJason Merritt/FilmMagic
Invisible layers are all about creating fullness without sacrificing density—key for thin hair that can’t afford aggressive layering. This helps to "enhance your natural wave pattern," says Heckmann, which is a sure-proof way to "make fine hair look thicker."
Instead of styling every section, she recommends "adding in just a few waves on only a few pieces" to get a look most similar to Jennifer Aniston's gorgeous 'do. "The key is making it look imperfect by not having a super straight part," she adds. "This look is meant to feel effortless and undone."
To finish, reach for your favorite hairspray and "fan out the hair as you apply it," to "make the hair look extra voluminous" without rigidly locking it into place.
4. Blunt LobTheo Wargo/Getty Images
When thin hair starts to lose fullness through the ends, a blunt lob can be transformative—take it from Naomi Watts. Unlike heavily layered cuts that remove density, a blunt perimeter keeps the hair looking thick, intentional and healthy.
Celebrity hairstylist and St. Meto founder Kristen Shaw, who has worked with Seth Rogan and David Corenswet, favors this shape for fine hair because it concentrates weight exactly where thin hair needs it most. "A blunt cut creates the illusion of fullness by keeping the ends strong instead of wispy," she explains.
To get the most out of the cut, Shaw stresses scalp and strand prep, like using St. Meto Mother Clay Hair Treatment "to get body and fullness for thin, fine hair."
"The clay delicately removes excess oil buildup and gives natural body to the hair," she says, helping the lob sit fuller and cleaner. For mature hair, this cut delivers structure without harshness—and looks just as good air-dried as it does with a smooth, volume-focused blowout.
5. Soft BobArnold Jerocki/Getty Images
A bob doesn’t have to be sharp to be effective for thin hair. In fact, a softer shape often works better. Heckmann notes that styling flexibility is what makes this cut so appealing, just like Keira Knightley's gorgeous cut.
"I would either let the hair dry naturally with a lightweight leave-in cream to give body to the hair and show off natural texture," she says, or "blow it out to give volume."
For thin or aging hair, that versatility is a major win—the cut can look relaxed and natural one day, then fuller and more structured the next. That's a total win-win.
6. Glam WavesJB Lacroix/FilmMagic
Full, glamorous waves can absolutely work on fine hair—if they’re set correctly. Bella Hadid's glam wave with a side part "is a great choice for a style on fine hair," Heckmann says, since it adds effortless volume at the root. But of course, the curls add lots of gorgeous dimension, too.
To get that red-carpet look, Heckmann recommends setting the waves in pins after a blow-out or curl, sharing, "This allows the hair to cool while in pins, so it holds the shape better." This extra step helps waves stay lifted and defined rather than falling flat too quickly. No more mid-day flat hair? Yes, please.
7. Tousled WavesTommaso Boddi/Getty Images
Adding just a hint of bend can make thin hair look instantly fuller. Heckmann points to Sofia Richie’s look as a great example. "This is a great tousled wave—it makes her hair look fuller just by adding this subtle texture," she says.
Rather than tight curls, she recommends a softer approach. Using "a flat iron in an S-wave pattern" to get that gentle bended look, the style adds width through the mid-lengths and helps thin hair appear thicker while keeping the style modern, relaxed and easy to recreate at home.

Penélope Cruz’s New Magazine Cover Is Giving Fans a Mid-Life Reality Check: 'She's 51?!'
Penélope Cruz has the internet in a chokehold, but it’s not just because of her latest high-fashion spread. As the March 2026 cover star forL’Officiel, the Oscar winner is serving a level of timeless intensity that has fans spiraling into a collective existential crisis.
The source of the drama? Cruz is 51. While the images — shot in her signature Chanel — are undeniably stunning, they’ve ignited a raw conversation about the "pressure to be perfect" that even Cruz’s most devoted followers can’t ignore.
As the cover went viral this week, social media was flooded with more than just praise. Beneath the "stunning" and "immortal" comments, a deeper sentiment emerged—one of relatable anxiety.
View this post on Instagram“I googled it and she’s 51?!?!? That’s crazy,” one fan wrote on Reddit. But it was another commenter who truly tapped into the cultural nerve: “I honestly feel like so many these celebs from my young adulthood have not aged at all... It just makes me feel more pressure to extend my own looks; not to ever look like Penelope, but the best version of me, for another 15-20 years. Gah.”
It’s a feeling that hits homrein 2026, as the line between "aging gracefully" and "never aging at all" continues to blur. For fans who grew up watching Cruz in Jamón Jamón and Vicky Cristina Barcelona, her seemingly static appearance is both a marvel and a mirror, reflecting the high stakes of modern beauty standards.
While the world is busy debating her skincare routine, Cruz is busy reinventing her craft. Her L’Officiel feature serves as the official launchpad for her most experimental role yet in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s upcoming film, The Bride!, which hits theaters and IMAX on March 6.
The gothic crime thriller reimagines the Bride of Frankenstein mythos in 1930s Chicago, but Cruz says this isn't your typical monster movie. Reflecting on her collaboration with Gyllenhaal, she noted: “I’ve known Maggie for many years and we always wanted to work together... She made a very special film, deep and layered on so many levels. Visually striking, very rock and roll. There’s so much truth in it.”
Gyllenhaal, who shot the film in high-contrast IMAX, teased that the actress explores "uncharted territory," including a scene that feels like a classic '40s screwball comedy—a side of the Spanish star that audiences have rarely seen since her early days with Pedro Almodóvar. Whether she’s playing a sharp-witted detective in 1930s Chicago or serving "intensity" on a magazine rack, Cruz’s secret seems to be a refusal to look back. With seven Almodóvar films and an Oscar already in her rearview, she remains a force that—as L'Officiel posted on their Instagram caption — goes "straight to the heart."
