Olympic Gold Medalist Bode Miller Arrested On Drug Charges In Idaho
Bode Miller, an Olympic skiing legend, is facing criminal charges in Idaho.
TMZ reports that Miller has been charged with two misdemeanor counts stemming from an incident on June 6. Specifically, the charges are one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Miller posted the $5,000 cash bond and was released. He has entered not guilty pleas for both charges.
"Court records show his attorney filed an appearance on his behalf shortly after the case was opened. The case remains active … with Miller due back in court for a pretrial hearing on July 29," TMZ further added.
Miller is a decorated Olympian, having won 6 Olympic medals in his legendary career, including a gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Games. Miller was also a two-time overall World Cup champion in 2005 and 2008.
His arrest comes three days before the eighth anniversary of Miller and his wife suffering the loss of their baby daughter, Emeline, who died after drowning in a neighbor's swimming pool on June 9, 2018.
"Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this. Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten. Our little girl loved life and lived it to it’s fullest everyday. Our family respectfully requests privacy during this painful time," Miller said in a 2018 Instagram post announcing the news.
Then, in 2023, while appearing on season 2 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, Miller opened up about the tragic accident with the other contestants.
"It was brutal. She let herself out the back door and jumped right into our neighbor's pool," he says, beginning to cry.
Miller was asked by one of the contestants how he "deals with something like that," to which he replied, "It does not go away."

Measuring 7 inches wide, reviewers agreed that they fit comfortably on the hands and are stretchy enough to grip utensils and handle hot items easily.
Unlike cloth oven mitts, shoppers said the machine-washable silicone style is "very easy to clean." According to reviewers, you "definitely can’t feel the heat when using" these mitts to handle cast iron skillets, ceramic dishes, cookie sheets, or anything else you're taking out of the oven. Multiple customers also mentioned how well these mitts work for grilling.
Another particularly handy feature several reviewers raved about is the ability to remove a mitt with just one hand while the other hand holds onto something hot. "Because it’s nonslip, I just touch my hand with the mitt down on the countertop and slide my hand right out of it," one shopper said.
"These are the best oven mitts I’ve ever owned," a customer said. Numerous reviewers praised the durability and effectiveness of the mitts, with one shopper noting that "the quality is incredible."

Dave Ramsey Is Warning People Not to Do This When Buying a New Car
If you're looking to get a new car, leasing may seem like an affordable option. In fact, it sounds like the most appealing option for many, given that Dave Ramsey recently claimed that 78 percent of the cars driving off the lot these days are being paid for through a leasing program.
However, just because it's popular, it doesn't mean it's a good idea. Ramsey even warned his followers against this method during a recent episode of The Dave Ramsey Show, and his reason is actually pretty compelling.
View this post on Instagram Dave Ramsey Explains How Car Leases WorkRamsey shared a clip from a recent episode on Instagram, giving his followers insight into exactly how a car lease works. "Car leasing is now 78 percent of the new cars that leave the lot," he began, describing the loan as a series of payments that require either a lump sum payment at the end of the life of the loan if you want to keep the car, or require you to turn it back in to settle your balance.
"Put those numbers, that stream of payments and a lump sum, into a financial calculator as opposed to the actual MSRP, the sticker price, and back out what the cost is of what's called cost of capital in a lease," he continued, explaining that this is how you can determine the interest rate you're paying on the money you're borrowing. "On average, it's 14.2 percent right now. So you borrowed money at 14 percent."
Ramsey went on to explain that the interest rate isn't disclosed because the Federal Trade Commission doesn't require that figure to be shared, since it's not considered a loan by the organization. "So they're sidestepping everything and screwing you people," he concluded.
Ramsey's Followers Had Mixed Feelings About Car LeasesRamsey may be known for his financial conservatism, but his followers didn't seem to share his philosophy about car leases. Instead of feeling "screwed," many people popped into the comments to share the benefits of car leases.
"Incorrect. You can be smart about [it]," one person wrote. "You don’t ever return it or buy it. You go sell it for a premium to a dealership or private sale, and it works much juicier than you explained, but what do I know, right?"
Several people shared how they like having the ability to upgrade their car at the end of their lease, with one person writing, "Leasing is great. I get a new car every 3 years. I don’t have to worry about it breaking down. No mechanics to see."
Leasing a Car Has Its Pros and ConsAccording to Travelers Insurance, leasing a car can come with some perks. According to the website, they include:
- The ability to drive a higher-end vehicle
- Lower down payment requirements
- Protection against depreciation
- The option to purchase your car at the end of your lease, or possibly even transfer your lease to another driver if you want to end your lease early
Of course, there are downsides as well, and the website says they include:
- Higher costs
- Driving restrictions (leases may have a mileage limit)
- Higher insurance premiums
- Complex lending and purchasing requirements
Whether you think the pros outweigh the cons when it comes to leasing is a personal decision that only you (and possibly your financial advisor) can make. That said, it's clear this option works for many people. And while the true numbers may not be as high as Ramsey says, the most recent data we found was from Market Reports World from 2024, and claimed that only 28 percent of "global vehicle users" were opting to take out a lease—it does seem like a number of people are seeing an upside to this process.

Child Evaluated & Released From Hospital After Mid-Ride Incident on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Ride at Disneyland
A 13-year-old boy was taken to a local hospital and evaluated after he exited the boat while on Tiana's Bayou Adventure in Disneyland before the ride had ended.
Resort officials spoke with PEOPLE, explaining how the guest "climbed out of the log ride vehicle before the attraction's conclusion on June 21," which led to the ride immediately being stopped.
"After leaving the boat, the guest continued along part of the attraction's path before being assisted by cast members, resort officials said," the outlet wrote. "As a precaution, the teen was evaluated at a local hospital and later released."
The California Post further stated that the boy "allegedly slid down the attraction’s 50-foot drop," based on online accounts of the incident.
“I was in the ride when this happened I actually saw the kid fall down the hill for a second when our log passed the fall. 4 people in our log saw it and then one minute later the ride stopped for probably 10 minutes then it started again we went throughout the ride like nothing happened,” one user recalled on Reddit. “When we got off there were about 6 Disney police and a mother and two kids were with them all soaked."
The following morning, officials with the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health inspected the ride and approved it to reopen.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure replaced the popular Splash Mountain ride, which closed in May 2023. It is based on the 2009 Disney animated film The Princess and the Frog, and officially opened on Nov. 15, 2024, according to the Disneyland website. It follows Princess Tiana and her friend, a trumpet-playing alligator, as they "travel down the bayou looking for her party’s missing ingredient during Mardi Gras season: the band!" Guests ride in a log flume, with the ending featuring a 50-foot drop.
Joe Manganiello Details 'Autoimmune-Related Illnesses' in Life-Threatening Health Battle
Joe Manganiello's new tell-all memoir, Bloodlines, reveals the actor has been dealing with chronic illness for several years. The True Blood actor reveals he went through a major health ordeal and "multiple near-death experiences" that led him to look for answers.
In an exclusive with People, the actor doesn't give a clear starting timeline of when his medical issues all began. He details it having started almost seven years ago with "a cascade of autoimmune-related illnesses" that affected his skin, thyroid, eyes, lungs, and digestive system. Amid the chronic pain, Manganiello also reveals having had a "life-saving organ amputation."
The actor gives no clear details of what exactly caused his health decline, and even says in his memoir that doctors were left with no clear answers. In a synopsis for the book, it says that Manganiello looked for answers away from traditional means.
He turned to "shamans, pagan rituals, ancient myths, long-lost family records," as well as changing his own spirituality. Amid his research, the Spider-Man actor discovers his ancestor survived the Armenian genocide and battled with chronic illness.

Amid his own health battle, the actor told People with was the "most brutally difficult" time of his life and wouldn't wish it on his worst enemy. Despite this, he also called it his greatest adventure and hopes his memoir will help others dealing with chronis illness.
"I hope that what I went through on this journey can give readers hope that answers and healing may lie for them on the other side of whatever they are fighting through. The process of writing this book gave me the gift of perspective that helped me to see that my suffering was a cocoon from which I would emerge forever changed," he said.
Based on Manganiello's reported timeline, he was married toSofia Vergara at the time before splitting in 2024. Reports cited Vergara not wanting any more children as a reason for the breakup. Manganiello is currently engaged to Catlin O’Connor, with the actor's last roles having been in One Piece, and will star in Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas.
'90s Rock Band Announces First North America Tour in 16 Years
A long-dormant chapter of Omaha's indie rock history is about to come back to life.
Bright Eyes has announced a fall North American tour with a very special opening act: Lullaby for the Working Class, the influential folk-rock group that helped shape the careers of several future Bright Eyes collaborators. The run marks Lullaby for the Working Class' first North American tour in 16 years and only its second live reunion this century.
"Bright Eyes is back on the road this fall, touring select US cities with Lullaby for the Working Class!" the band announced on Instagram. Tickets go on sale to the general public on June 26.
For guitarist, producer and longtime Bright Eyes member Mike Mogis, the tour is much more than a reunion. Before becoming one of the creative forces behind Bright Eyes, Mogis co-founded Lullaby for the Working Class with Ted Stevens in 1994 as an acoustic alternative to the louder punk and rock bands they had been playing in.
"I learned so much from my time with Ted and Lullaby, both as a musician and engineer/producer, that I would go on to employ heavily when I started working with this weird, little kid who Ted was friends with named Conor," Mogis wrote. "We also took Conor on some of the earliest Bright Eyes tours opening for Lullaby and us acting as his backing band."
Those early connections would prove pivotal. Mogis, Stevens and later multi-instrumentalist Nate Walcott all became integral members of Bright Eyes, helping Conor Oberst transform the project from a lo-fi solo endeavor into one of the defining indie rock bands of the late 1990s and 2000s. Albums including I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning, Lifted and Cassadaga established Bright Eyes as one of the era's most acclaimed acts, while Oberst emerged as one of indie music's most celebrated songwriters.
"Mike and I had always been friends and he was playing in Lullaby and he really liked the first [Bright Eyes] CD but his main complaint was how bad it sounded," Oberst recalled in a 2000 interview. "He approached me one day and said 'If you want I'll record you for free and I think it'd be cool because I like your songs.' I was like 'Woah, sure.'"
Meanwhile, Lullaby for the Working Class quietly earned a devoted following of its own through its delicate blend of folk, chamber pop and indie rock. Although the group disbanded in 1999, its influence lived on through the musicians who carried its collaborative spirit into Bright Eyes and numerous other projects.
The band reunited only once before, performing at the 2010 Concert for Equality in Omaha, an event organized by Oberst in opposition to a controversial anti-immigration law passed in Nebraska.
"That is the only time we played this century!" Mogis wrote. "So I am extremely excited to tell you guys that we are going on tour again. The tables have turned so we will be opening for Bright Eyes but we will still all be playing together for both sets just like the old days."
For fans who have followed the intertwined histories of both bands, the upcoming tour offers something far more meaningful than a typical opening set. Sixteen years after their last North American outing, Lullaby for the Working Class is returning alongside the very band it helped inspire, bringing one of indie rock’s most influential musical families back together on stage.

Phoenix, Arizona: The Top Microvacation Spot for Affordable Getaways
If it feels like shrinkflation has hit your paid time off as hard as it’s hit chip bags and laundry detergent bottles, you’re not alone. Employee disengagement and stress are at a seven-year high, yet American workers receive far less PTO than their counterparts in Europe, Asia, and Australia and they typically use just a fraction of those paid vacation hours. That’s where the microvacation comes in.
These two- to four-day getaways give travelers a chance to recharge guilt-free, without paying too much out of pocket or leaving busy coworkers in the lurch. Travelers can get the most out of a microvacation in destinations where a high concentration of activities are easily reached on foot or by public transit, with an array of hotels at affordable price points and generally mild weather.
Where are microvacationers headed for these focused minibreaks? Blink, a mobile-first employee experience platform, compiled a list of the top 20 cities for microvacations in the U.S., and you might be surprised at the sunny destination that tops the list.
Blink ranked its best cities for microvacations by the percentage of hotels under $150, the percent of hotels priced between $150-$300, the % of hotels over $300 a night, the estimated number of attractions, the number of attractions per square mile, an annual pleasant weather score, a local accessibility score and how many people are typically searching for “weekend trip in” that destination.
Think sunny Denver, Colorado (which ranks 9th on Blink’s list), where 70% of hotels are in the middle price range. Or consider Miami, Florida (number 15 on the list), where there’s a whopping 26 attractions per square mile. There’s no bad time of year to visit San Diego (number 11), which Blink gave an annual pleasant weather score of 80. Other top-ranking cities include family-friendly favorites like Salt Lake City, Utah and Washington D.C., historical hotspots like Boston and Philadelphia, foodie favorites like Charleston, South Carolina and San Francisco, and beachy gems like Savannah, Georgia.
Why American Travelers Are "PTO-Maxxing"It’s no wonder that Americans are eager to maximize their minimal time away from their desks. U.S. workers receive about 12 paid vacation days a year, which is significantly fewer than their counterparts in Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore. They’re also less likely to use the days they do have, adding up to what Expedia calls Vacation Deprivation.
Most employees who receive PTO aren’t taking full advantage of their benefits package, either. According to Allianz Partners, Americans spent an average of just 4 nights away in 2025. Those upper-end microvacations hit the sweet spot between spendier overnight trips and 1-week vacations, which can take up nearly half of a worker’s annual vacation days in one fell swoop.
For anyone who's "PTO-maxxing," aka stacking precious vacation days with state and federal holidays like Labor Day, Indigenous People’s Day, and Thanksgiving, these microvacation destinations offer a lot of bang for the proverbial buck. Many of the top-ranking microvacation destinations are also popular with conference and convention planners, and lend themselves to similar travel trends like “workcations” and “bleisure” trips that blend business trips with me-time.
“Cities with accessible airports, walkable neighborhoods, and reliable public transit can turn a quick weekend trip into a memorable recharge for workers,” said Blink COO Lauren Burns. “This trend is especially great for shift workers, who often work 12-hour shifts 3 or 4 days a week, giving them built-in time to take advantage of short trips without needing to take PTO.”

Why Phoenix, Arizona Is the Best City for a MicrovacationSo what city tops Blink’s list of the Top 20 Cities for Micro-Vacations in the U.S.? Sun-drenched Phoenix, Arizona won first place with a wide selection of hotels under $150, pleasant weather averages throughout the year, and a wide range of activities. No wonder almost 50,000 people were searching for “Phoenix weekend trip” while they plan their next city break.
In the number two and three positions, respectively, are Austin, Texas and New Orleans, Louisiana. Both offer affordable hotels, mild year-round weather, and a wide range of activities, from live music and bars to restaurants, cultural institutions, and outdoor recreation. From solo travel to romantic getaways to fitting a family vacation into tight schedule gaps, these microvacation destinations have a little (or a lot) for every travel style.

Balancing work and play can feel like a big challenge in an era when rising inflation is a top concern and many are cutting back on eating out, concerts, and other leisure activities. Even for the 75% of Americans “job-hugging” their way through a tough economy, microvacations offer a chance to step away from daily stressors and reap the mental health benefits of soft travel, slowing down and seeking novelty.
Garcelle Beauvais Mourns Death of Her Sister Carole In Heartfelt Tribute
Garcelle Beauvais shared a heartfelt tribute to her sister Carole, announcing the death of her older sister in an emotional Instagram post.
"My beautiful sister Carole I will miss you so much!," she began, sharing a photo with her sister on Tuesday, June 23. "I will always remember times where we would laugh so hard it hurts! Whenever I said I love you you would reply I love you more!
"I wish we had more time !! I’ll never forget how you showed up when I had the twins and you would sleep in the nursery just so you could help And how much you loved Oliver Hope you’re with mom now and the two of you are laughing RIP ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽"
No cause of death was revealed. Beauvais is the youngest of seven children.
Many in the Hollywood and Bravo communities left sweet notes on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum's post.
"So sorry Garcelle ❤️," EGOT winner Viola Davis commented.
"My deepest condolences to you and your family. I’m so sorry for your loss. May you find strength, comfort, and peace in the love and support of those around you during this difficult time. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. ❤️," Real Housewives of Miami's Kiki Barth wrote.
"Im so sorry for your loss ❤️❤️ sending you and your family so much love!," a popular Bravo fan account posted.
When she starred on RHOBH from 2021 to 2025, Beauvais had an incident during season 11 when she forgot Carole’s name. Host Andy Cohen then asked her about this at that season's reunion, where she talked about their relationship, adding that the two were not on speaking terms at one point.
“Something happened and we didn’t talk about it, and just let it sort of fester and it just sort of went away,” Garcelle said.
“Was it then Freudian that you couldn’t remember her name?," Cohen then asked.
“Maybe,” Garcelle replied. “Yeah, absolutely.”
‘Below Deck’ Deckhand Calls Out Andy Cohen After ‘WWHL’ Disaster — and Fans Say He Was 'Robbed'
Below Deck Mediterranean alum Alex Radcliffe has a bone to pick with Andy Cohen after a Watch What Happens Livegame ended in a "disaster", with the deckhand narrowly missing out on a win.
WWHL guests Below Deck Med stew Gen Lillie and author/actor Ryan O’Connell played "Yacht Cock" where Gen and Ryan were challenged to choose between two Below Deck alums. Alex faced off against another Below Deck Med alum, Mzi "Zee" Dempers, and Zee won hands down.
Andy may not have been responsible for the result, but that didn't stop Alex from calling out the host over what he jokingly dubbed the "disaster on our hands." He rolled the WWHL clip in an Instagram post. Despite shouting out Zee as being a "stud," Alex claims that "Andy didn't give me the time of day!" adding that "I was shut down in seconds."
He continued, "I'm not a sex symbol! I'm nothing! And Andy, I thought we were boys. I thought you'd fight for me." Then he played more of the game, showing how Andy "fought" for pal, deckhand Bobby Giancola.
Of course, Bobby responded, writing, "Thanks for the confidence boost @bravoandy!" adding, "I’m dying lol."
View this post on InstagramFans reacted by saying Alex got "robbed" and "Alex all the way."
So why is Alex making such a fuss over the game? It all goes back to the playful rapport he developed with Andy during his 2020 Below Deck Mediterranean season. When Alex appeared on the virtual version of Watch What Happens Live, he sported a T-shirt featuring his face photoshopped over a famous photo of Andy andJohn Mayer, complete with the words "Best Friends" splashed across the top.
Andy said, "Well, guess what, Alex. I can't wait to see you in person and get our own picture." He later added, alongside Below Deck Med Season 5 chef Hindrigo "Kiko" Lorran, that he was "getting a little crush on Alex, I have to say."

Only Cruise could tease out a new trailer with a retrospective of his most famous roles!
The Digger trailer starts at the 2:30 mark and shows an unrecognizable Cruise in the role of an oil tycoon with a heavy Southern accent. Don't miss the last scene, which shows the character significantly aged. With gray hair and a thick belly, you can't even tell it's Cruise!

Iñárritu, who previously directed acclaimed films like Birdman and The Revenant, was shocked by Cruise's transformation into the title character.
"Watching Tom Cruise becoming Digger Rockwell, I was not prepared for that," he told the audience, noting that he was well aware that Cruise was "fearless" from his stunt work, but was blown away by his "embodying this character, this is another kind of fearless… this role could be his most challenging, high-wire act."

Despite the expenses, researchers also found that about a quarter of all travelers are spending more this year to get the best travel experiences. When asked, 45% of travelers said their travel budgets would increase this year.
But, if you're looking for less expensive destinations, you may want to head to Iceland, Norway, or Zambia. All three were at the bottom of the list in terms of total cost.

Exciting Things to Do at the Most Expensive DestinationsWhat types of activities are making these destinations so expensive? Greenland boasts Arctic expedition cruises as well as chartered private wilderness camps that can cost you. They also offer helicopter rides over glaciers.
If you’re thinking of traveling to the British Virgin Islands, yacht charters, private island stays, and upscale beach bars are always favorites there. If you don’t want to break the bank once you get there, you can always spend time on the islands’ beautiful beaches. There's plenty to enjoy here.
French Polynesia offers many beach activities, including private lagoon tours and sailing, as well as helicopter tours of the area. Don’t forget about all of the shopping!
Quite the switch from the other expensive beachy destinations, Antarctica is the place to go if you want to waddle among penguins or take a polar plunge. There are also rides through the Lemaire Channel. Some people like the cooler weather!
Finally, the Maldives offers snorkeling with whale sharks and stays in overwater bungalows. These types of experiences are often once-in-a-lifetime, which is why they come with a high price tag.
While these destinations can include 5-star resorts, they don’t necessarily have to. Choosing other accommodations can help keep costs down if you plan to take advantage of all the interesting excursions.

So she was open to getting to know the Casa Amor men and hit it off with Corey. They bonded over their love for fashion. Trinity said in the confessional that Corey gives her "different feelings" compared to Bryce. She asked him to sleep in her bed, and he planned to make her pancakes in the morning.

1966 Rock Classic Became a No. 1 Hit in the U.K. 60 Years Ago Today
In 1966, The Beatles were riding a wave of success. With hit after hit topping the charts, the group was at its creative peak. Yet at the same time, their world tour turned chaotic as they faced exhaustion and security concerns ahead of their final concert in San Francisco.
But before the chaos erupted, there was “Paperback Writer.”
60 years ago today, “Paperback Writer” became The Beatles’ 10th consecutive No. 1 hit in the U.K. It was the band’s first hit that wasn’t written about love — in fact, it was inspired by a question posed by Paul McCartney’s aunt: why did he always write about love?
“Years ago, my Auntie Lil said to me, ‘Why do you always write songs about love all the time? Can’t you ever write about a horse or the summit conference or something interesting?’” McCartney recalled, according to an interview for Keith Badman’s book The Beatles Off the Record. “So, I thought, ‘All right, Auntie Lil.’ And recently, we’ve not been writing all our songs about love.”
McCartney set aside some time to write with John Lennon. Arriving at his home in Weybridge, the two got to work.
“You knew, the minute you got there, cup of tea and you’d sit and write, so it was always good if you had a theme,” McCartney said for the book Many Years From Now. “I’d had a thought for a song and somehow it was to do with the Daily Mail so there might have been an article in the Mail that morning about people writing paperbacks. Penguin paperbacks was what I really thought of, the archetypal paperback.”
Although Lennon is credited as a writer on the song, he recalled in an interview with Hit Parader that McCartney was the one who did most of the work on it.
“I think I might have helped with some of the lyrics,” Lennon said in 1972. “Yes, I did. But it was mainly Paul’s tune.”

Queen of Pop Reveals the Surprising ‘Popcorn’ Diet That Helps Her Stay Fit at 67
When it comes to favorite foods, the Queen of Pop keeps it surprisingly simple.
Madonna opened up about her favorite snack during a conversation with Interview magazine editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg, published Monday, June 22. "Can I eat popcorn while I'm talking?" The 67-year-old singer asked at the start of the interview. "Of course. People, she's eating popcorn," Ottenberg replied. "My favorite food, you can say that," Madonna revealed. "I haven't had it for a week."
Ottenberg then pointed to a memorable Vogue photo shoot from May 1989. In a photograph by Patrick Demarchelier, Madonna is seen snacking on popcorn at her Los Angeles residence. Later in the interview, Ottenberg expressed his curiosity to know exactly how she likes her popcorn. "What do you put on your popcorn?" he asked. "Brewer's yeast," the "Like a Virgin" singer replied, explaining that the supplement is "high in B vitamins."
When Ottenberg commented that Madonna remains "still very fit," he followed up by asking about her diet.

"Popcorn," she replied with a laugh. While the comment drew a laugh, the "Material Girl" singer got refreshingly honest about her fitness routine. "I have a bad knee now," she explained in the interview. "I have no cartilage in it, thanks to dancing for so long in high heels and running on pavement and doing Ashtanga yoga. Up until a year ago, I was jumping on trampolines and doing dance cardio and doing a lot of what a doctor would call loading on my joints. Can't do that anymore."
Instead, the music icon said she now relies on lower-impact workouts to stay active. "So now I do Peloton bikes and the Versa Climber and high-intensity circuit training," she said. "I ride my bike outside a lot. I dance."
View this post on InstagramIn November 2019, the singer had shared an Instagram update about taking her "usual Ice Bath for multiple injuries" and thanked her "gang-gang for being my hype squad!"
Beloved '90s Sitcom Aired Its Emotional Series Finale 27 Years Ago Today
While the '90s were dominated by popular sitcoms, none had the style and charisma of Fran Fine (Fran Drescher) in The Nanny. Twenty-seven years ago, the sitcom released its two-part series finale that gave fans the happy ending they wanted.
The Nanny was TV gold and often cited as the '90s version of I Love Lucy. Alongside being an Emmy award-winning series, Drescher became a household name, earning multiple nominations for her role as a Jewish fashionista from Queens who finds herself the nanny of a rich upper-class family in New York City.
CBS aired the sitcom in early November 1993 and ran for a total of six seasons with the original cast. The Nanny would meet its end on June 23, 1999, but with a few discrepancies. According to timelines, the two-part finale was released earlier in May, but CBS continued to broadcast unreleased episodes until late June. The released episode, "The Baby Shower," marked the end of the sitcom.
"The Finale: Part 1" is drama galore as Fran and Maxwell (Charles Shaughnessy) are celebrating their first anniversary together while she's heavily pregnant with twins. The Frans get together one last time with the Maxwells before moving to California, as Nigel (Daniel Davis) tries to propose to C.C. (Lauren Lane).
In the midst of the celebrations, C.C. and Fran get stuck in the elevator, and it induces Fran to go into labor. C.C. questions if she'll be a good wife, while the others soon realize the two women are trapped. Upon rescuing Fran and jetting off to the hospital, C.C. accepts Nigel's proposal.
"The Finale: Part 2" gives the sitcom its needed end as Fran delivers two healthy twins. C.C. and Nigel end up getting married at the hospital as a doctor informs them that she's pregnant. Some time later, the family is ready to travel to California. Fran discovers her "Shades of Orient" makeup case and is reminded of when she first arrived at the Sheffield home.
The Nanny has been tagged as one of the greatest TV sitcoms and became a hit outside the U.S. in various countries. It's even inspired loose adaptations, with Drescher becoming a TV icon.

Labubus originated as whimsy-like storybook characters dreamed up by Hong Kong–born illustrator Kasing Lung. After falling in love with Nordic fairytales as a child, as an adult he launched a picture book series called The Monsters, which featured female elves known as Labubus. Shortly after the trilogy was published, Lung released a toy series that was inspired by his characters. Though it wasn't until he teamed up with Pop Mart that they became super popular.
However, if you've never seen a Labubu in person, you might be a little surprised by their appearance, as they are not the typical sweet and smiley plush you might be imagining. Instead, think big eyes, a wide toothy grin, wild hair and a look that’s a combination of a mischievous monster, a bunny and a cuddly forest creature.
Today, you'll find Labubus in various colors and in a range sizes, as well as on keychains, which have been worn on the bags of singers like Lisa from Blackpink, Rihanna, Dua Lipa and collectors likeJenn Guhit.
"I think Labubus have become so popular because they can be taken anywhere," Guhit tells Parade. "I love that you can just hang one on your bag and it instantly becomes a cute accessory.
Besides keychains, you can also buy Labubus in something called "blind boxes," which has also added to their appeal and is something collectors like Guhit love.
"I currently have several different sets," she says. "I have the whole set of Exciting Macaron, as well as Have a Seat and Big into Energy. Plus, I also have the Fall in Wild, Wings of Fortune, Time to Chill, Let’s Checkmate Series and the Coca Cola Series. Besides those, I also have a few from Popland, which is the Pop Mart theme park from Beijing."

If you're not familiar with Labubu blind boxes, they are basically like little magical, mystery presents where you don't know which adorable Labubu will be hiding inside until you open it. That element of surprise makes collecting super exciting, but also a bit tricky if you're hunting for a special color or one of the rare, secret edition dolls. However, even if you don’t wind up with the exact one you hoped for, chances are you’ll still fall head over heels for the toy that pops out!
The fun of the mystery surrounding the blind boxes has become a trend all on its own as well. In fact, posting a video of yourself unboxing a Labubu online—where viewers can watch in anticipation and see the surprise unfold—has become a feel-good viral experience, creating a joyful way for fans all over the world to connect and celebrate the cuteness of one unboxing at a time.

When it comes to purchasing a Labubu, make sure you have Pop Mart's app downloaded on your phone or their page bookmarked on your desktop, because you can only buy the new launches and restocks on there.
However, due to how much people love them, they sell out fast. That's why you want to make sure you keep an eye out for news of restocking.
The newest restock is happening on June 25 at 10 p.m. EST/7 p.m. PST and it's THE MONSTERS Hair Salon Series. As you might imagine from the title of the launch, these Labubus have luxurious locks; each figure in their Vinyl Plush Pendant Blind Boxes has a chic outfit and a tiny little head of hair, from a blonde wig that curls up like a 1960s 'do to another Labubu with a pastel pink curly wig. These are $39.99 per box.

If you missed any of the recent restocks, don't worry. In preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, taking place between Canada, the United States and Mexico in June, Pop Mart released Labubus themed for the global event back in April, and they seem like they're all still available. One of the bigger Labubus is THE MONSTERS × FIFA SERIES-Catch the Win Vinyl Plush Doll, costing $149.99. It's one of their classic, larger vinyl plush figures that's decked out in soccer gear—complete with cleats—holding a tiny replica of the FIFA World Cup trophy.
But that's not all. There are several pendant, lanyard and magnet blind boxes of FIFA-themed Labubus in this collection too. This includes:
- THE MONSTERS × FIFA SERIES-Vinyl Plush Pendant ($32.99)
- THE MONSTERS × FIFA SERIES-Glass Cup Blind Box ($12.99 each)
- THE MONSTERS × FIFA SERIES - Football-shaped Mini Bag Blind Box ($29.99 each)
- THE MONSTERS × FIFA SERIES-Mini Pendant Light Blind Box ($20.99 each)
- THE MONSTERS × FIFA SERIES-Long Lanyard Blind Box ($29.99 each)
- THE MONSTERS × FIFA SERIES - Bottle Opener Fridge Magnet Blind Box ($15.99 each)
A one-off, non-FIFA Labubu they dropped on the same date as well is the LABUBU Jazz Figure, for $39.99, and still available at the time of this reporting. It features a vinyl LABUBU lounging on a rocking recliner, listening to some nice music, with a thought bubble that has a simple heart in it (because they're enjoying jazz, duh).
Also, THE MONSTERS x HELLO KITTY collaboration dropped in early March and is also still available to buy. It includes THE MONSTERS × Hello Kitty and Friends Series-Vinyl Plush Pendant Blind Boxes ($39.99 each) and the THE MONSTERS × HELLO KITTY - Vinyl Plush Doll ($149.99). These haven't sold out just yet.
Back in January, Pop Mart released THE MONSTERS 10th Anniversary Series, and you can still purchase some of those items as well, like the THE MONSTERS 10th Anniversary Series — ZIMOMO Vinyl Plush Doll ($299.99).
As you can tell, not everything is sold out on Pop Mart's website for older collections, so you can always search for others.
There are also some Labubu options sold by Pop Mart on Amazon as well, like the POP MART The Monsters COCA-COLA Series-Vinyl Face Blind Box.
Typically, Pop Mart restocks Labubus on Thursdays between 6-7 p.m. PST /9-10 p.m. EST.
However, Guhit tells Parade that's not always the case; there can be surprise drops, and the time can vary.
"Sometimes you just have to keep checking because you never know when they’ll do a drop," she advises.
In fact, sometimes, instead of having a weekly drop, they will occur more frequently, like every other day. To check and see if they are about to have a drop, it's recommended to look on Pop Mart's website or app under "THE MONSTERS" series for something that says "LAUNCH TIME."
To ensure you get one when there's a new launch, Guhit says you have to act fast.
"If there's a Labubu restock happening on Pop Mart's app at 7 p.m., if someone tries to buy one a few hours later, they will most likely be sold out," she notes.
Edward Berthelot/Getty Images
Where Can I Find Labubu Restock Alerts? If you or someone you know goes to buy a Labubu and they are sold out, Guhit suggests getting alerted when there's a restock.
"If you sign up for alerts, you'll get pinged when the Labubu you want becomes available," she shares.
To do this, visit Pop Mart's website, go to the product page where the sold-out item is, and look for a button or link that mentions something like "Notify me" or "Notify me when available."
Then, follow the instructions, like entering your email address, so you can get on their list.
If you want a Labubu, they are affordable, but be prepared to spend more money than you would on another type of plush. A single box of the "Have a Seat Vinyl Plush Blind Box," as well as the "Exciting Macaron Vinyl Face Blind Box" and the "Big into Energy Series-Vinyl Plush Pendant Blind Box," are all $27.99. But as you saw above, newer, special edition blind boxes can go up to $39.99.
If you decide you want to purchase a whole set instead of just one, that price is drastically different and starts at about $167.94. The entire set will include six different blind boxes (or more, depending on the collection).
While not a plush, "THE MONSTERS Let's Checkmate Series-Pendant Blind Box" goes for $18.99 and is a chain with the pendant that you can hang from your purse.
Keep in mind that the price does not include the taxes or the shipping and handling fees, so the total will be slightly higher.
Similar to other items that are collectables, Labubus have attracted the attention of resellers, which unfortunately means there are also knockoffs out there. These knockoffs have been dubbed as "Lafufus."
To help ensure you are buying the real deal, make sure you only buy them directly from places like Pop Mart or their official store on Amazon.
Another way you can tell it's a knockoff? The price. If you see a Labubu for an extremely low price, it's probably a fake.
Guhit echoes this point, telling Parade, "If you see a Labubu being sold to you at a too good to be price—it probably is too good to be true!"
She reveals you can also check the fine details of the doll to see if it's authentic.
"Real Labubus have 9 teeth," she says. "They will also have a Pop Mart logo stamped on one foot, and if you scan the QR code on the box they come in, it will lead you to the Pop Mart verification if it's a real Labubu."
