‘Frasier’ Star Peri Gilpin Is More Stunning Than Ever 22 Years After the End of the Original Series

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 9:08am

Peri Gilpin, who won our hearts as Roz on Frasier, looks more stunning than ever in a rare red carpet appearance.

The acclaimed actress, 64, skyrocketed to fame in the role of Roz, Dr. Frasier Crane's sassy radio station colleague on the beloved NBC series, which ran from 1993 to 2004. Starring alongside Kelsey Grammer, David Hyde Pierce, John Mahoney, and Jane Leeves, Gilpin became a TV staple in the long-running series. When it ended, she went on to appear in the ABC Family drama Make It or Break It, and even reprised her Frasier role in the reboot from 2023 to 2024.

Not one to hit every red carpet, Gilpin attended the Women's Guild Cedars-Sinai 2026 Spring Luncheon at The Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. It's hard to believe it's been 22 years since the original series concluded, because she managed to look younger than she did on the show!

How Did Gilpin Feel About Bringing Roz Back?

When the time came to bring back Frasier for the reboot, Gilpin didn't seem to hesitate one bit. In an interview with Screen Rant, the actress shared that Roz was her favorite character to play. In fact, she had a hunch she might end up playing Roz again.

"It's so fun. It's a dream. I always sort of weirdly thought I might play Roz again. I don't know why. And it feels so good to revisit that character. It's my favorite character I've ever played," Gilpin shared. "I love all the things about her and I love playing her at this age and finding out what's going on in her life now. It's so fun."

What's Gilpin Up to These Days?

With the Frasier reboot done, Gilpin has teamed up with someone special in her life: her daughter. Last year, the actress and her daughter, Ava Vincent, an accomplished graphic designer, joined the producing team for Jo - The Little Women Musical.

"Theater has always been my first love," said Gilpin in a release. "So Ava and I are thrilled to come on board the producing team of Jo - The Little Women Musical. This legendary story has resonated for families for years, and the beautiful and creative score of this new stage adaptation will help introduce this tale to new generations. We see such amazing potential in the show and are excited to see where it goes next!"

Charlize Theron and 'Apex' Director Reunite for Another Thriller

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 9:06am

Following their 2026 Netflix film Apex, Charlize Theron and Baltasar Kormákur are teaming up for another thriller.

The upcoming film, Six Clean Kills, is an adaptation of Stan Parish’s unpublished novel of the same name. Sources told Deadline that Kormákur is set to direct and produce the film for Universal Pictures, while Theron is “set to produce with an eye to star.” Parish will adapt the screenplay.

While the plot for the book and movie is under wraps, Deadline reported that Theron will produce the film through her production company, Secret Menu. Alongside partners Beth Kono and AJ Dix, her recent projects include Into the Fire: The Lost Daughter and The Quiet Tenant.

Theron and Kormákur released Apex on April 24, which debuted at No. 1 on the global English film list. Theron, who starred in the film, recently took to social media to express her gratitude for Netflix.

“You made hanging off this cliff so worth while,” Theron posted on Instagram. “Thank you for making @netflix APEX your number one film.”

Deadline reported that Theron has been attached to the Six Clean Kills project for some time, discussing what she and Kormákur could do next.

“Six Clean Kills felt like the perfect follow-up [to Apex],” Deadline said. “Though sources say the film is still in development as Theron is currently shooting the Amazon MGM Studios thriller Tyrant while Kormákur is currently in production on the Netflix pic The Big Fix starring Mark Wahlberg and Riz Ahmed."

Tyrant will star Demi Moore alongside Theron and Julia Garner. Based on a story written by David Weil and Cody Behan, the film will be shot in Los Angeles and released by Amazon MGM Studios.

While Six Clean Kills and Tyrant are in the works, Theron and Kormákur’s film Apex is now streaming on Netflix.

The Golden Globes Introduce New Rules for AI Submissions

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 8:55am

As the Golden Globes prepare for their 84th awards show in January, they’re laying out new rules for the use of artificial intelligence.

In their new submission guidelines, the Golden Globes state that the use of artificial intelligence or GenAI “does not automatically disqualify submissions.” However, this is only if “human creative direction, artistic judgement, and authorship remain primary throughout the production process.”

“All submitted work will be evaluated based on the extent to which creative direction, artistic decision-making, and execution originate from credited individuals,” the award rules state. “AI and similar technologies may be used as part of the production process in the manner described below, but may not replace the core creative contributions of human talent.”

The guidelines continue, “With any use of AI, Golden Globes Eligibility Committee will review the submission and eligibility determination process and may request additional information or materials to assess the role in the creation of the work. Failure to provide requested information in a timely manner may result in ineligibility.”

However, for actors, they’ll only be eligible for performance awards if their performance remains “fundamentally human-driven and under the creative control of the credited performer.”

“Additionally, submissions may not include performances generated through the unauthorized use of a performer’s digital likeness, voice replication, or biometric data, whether or not the performer is otherwise credited,” the awards rules continued.

The AI guidelines ended with a note, stating that “all determinations made by the Golden Globes Eligibility Committee regarding awards eligibility in connection with the use of AI are final.”

The submission website for the Golden Globes will open on June 1, and the nominations will be announced on December 7. The show will be on January 10, 2027, airing on CBS and streaming on Paramount+, with Nikki Glaser hosting for the third year in a row. Find the full list of submission rules on the Golden Globes website.

Pringles Quietly Debuts Brand-New Italian Meatballs Flavor

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 8:46am

Over the past several decades, Pringles has consistently managed to find a way to bring out a new flavor inspired by some of the most beloved culinary dishes imaginable.

From classic pepperoni pizza to zesty and tangy buffalo wings, Pringles has long managed to create delicious chips based on traditional international fare. Fortunately, the iconic snack brand has once again managed to expand their product portfolio with yet another chip inspired by a midweek dinner staple.

According to Sporked, multiple shoppers have reported seeing cans of Italian Meatballs Pringles in their local supermarkets. While it's still not clear which grocery suppliers in particular are carrying the new chips, Shaw's has the item listed on their official website, making it one of the first providers to stock up on the new chip.

Interestingly, and as Sporked pointed out, the new flavor hasn't been accompanied by a formal announcement from Pringles, with the item simply popping up in stores without an official press release detailing the product.

However, judging from the basic flavor profile featured on the product's label, Pringles' Italian Meatballs are likely to model itself after traditional home-cooked meatballs, incorporating notes of meat, basil and tomato sauce.

"There’s also the smallest suggestion of spaghetti peeking out of the bowl on its cover art, but given that most spaghetti, in its plain form, doesn’t taste of much at all, this probably isn’t going to be the presiding note," Sporked highlighted.

Of course, the new Italian Meatballs Pringles isn't the only new chip flavor to arrive from the beloved snack brand. Earlier this year, the company confirmed the best-selling Spicy Loaded Nachos will be available throughout the summer, mainly to coincide with the upcoming World Cup.

Combining notes of nacho cheese, jalapenos and other savory ingredients, the Spicy Loaded Nachos are the perfect snack to enjoy for any sporting event, be it the World Cup or simply watching the next baseball game from the comfort of your living room.

Lisa Vanderpump's Reality TV Mount Rushmore Includes 3 Legendary Names

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 8:38am

Lisa Vanderpump is making her case for her reality TV immortality—and she's including three other legends.

During a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the longtime Bravo star, 65, was asked who belongs on reality television’s "Mount Rushmore". Naturally, her answers included a mix of reality TV royalty, including one choice that wasn't human.

"I've done four, five hundred episodes of reality television. Maybe I should be there?" Vanderpump joked, referring to her decades-long run in unscripted TV.

It’s hard to argue with that! Vanderpump's résumé is hefty and impressive, first entering the reality scene on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. From there, she launched her own hit spinoff, Vanderpump Rules and appeared on competition and lifestyle series including Dancing with the Stars, Overserved with Lisa Vanderpump and Vanderpump Villa.

Of course, Vanderpump's reality TV Mount Rushmore didn’t stop there.

Her next pick was Giggy (RIP), her tiny Pomeranian who became an unexpected Bravo icon during his years appearing alongside Vanderpump on Real Housewives and Vanderpump Rules.

"He was on many episodes, and he was beloved," she said of the pup, who died in 2020. The dog remains one of the most recognizable pets in reality TV history, often dressed in miniature outfits and frequently stealing scenes from the humans around him.

Vanderpump also gave a spot to Kim Kardashian, citing the reality superstar’s undeniable influence on the genre.

Kardashian, 45, rose to fame on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the massively successful family reality series that premiered in 2007 and helped redefine celebrity culture in the social media era. She has since expanded her reality TV empire with Hulu’s The Kardashians while building businesses in fashion, beauty and shapewear.

For her final pick, Vanderpump chose longtime friend and fellow reality TV legend, Sharon Osbourne.

"My mate," she said of Osbourne, 73, who became a reality TV pioneer thanks to MTV’s The Osbournes. The show followed her family’s chaotic home life in the early 2000s and became one of the network’s defining reality hits. Osbourne later built a second career as a television personality and host on shows including The Talk and America's Got Talent.

First-Ever James Bond Film Premiered in the United States 63 Years Ago Today

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 8:30am

Before Goldfinger, Casino Royale and Skyfall became some of the franchise's most celebrated films, viewers were first introduced to Dr. No, the first ever James Bond movie that launched Sean Connery’s career to international fame

Sixty-three years ago today, the espionage action film made its theatrical release in the United States, becoming a commercial success and launching what would grow into one of cinema’s most iconic franchises.

On May 8, 1963, the film captured massive public attention with its gripping storyline, stellar cast lineup and breathtaking action sequences that made it impossible to ignore.

Directed by the renowned filmmaker Terence Young, Dr. No follows the story of agent 007, James Bond, played by Connery, who embarks on a mission to Jamaica to investigate the murder of a British agent.

During his probe, he discovers that a scientist named Dr. Julius No, played by Joseph Wiseman, was working for SPECTRE, a criminal organization with a mission to sabotage the U.S. military.

The scientist uses a secret nuclear-powered base to interfere with U.S. rocket launches.

With the potential to threaten national security and space missions, Bond must stop Dr. No and SPECTRE from carrying out their mission.

With a modest production budget of $1 million, Dr. No achieved box office success, earning multiple times its production budget.

The domestic ticket sales reportedly earned $16 million, while international sales reached $43 million, bringing the total to an estimated $60 million at the worldwide box office.

Did you know? Sean Connery Wasn't the First Choice for James Bond

From joining bodybuilding competitions in the mid-1950s to becoming part of the chorus as his first on-screen experience, Connery managed to work his way up, landing bit parts in a number of films.

After landing his first leading role in the 1958 film Another Time, Another Place and in Anna Karenina, Connery was offered the role in Dr. No; however, he was not the first choice to play James Bond.

As cited by Gentleman’s Journal, Cary Grant, who at the time was a debonair leading man, was the producers' top choice for the role; however, he turned down the offer due to age.

Since he was in his late 50s, taking on a multi-picture deal was considered too demanding for him.

Other actors who were considered for the role were James Mason, David Niven, Richard Todd and Patrick McGoohan, but all turned the offer down.

It was the then-32-year-old rising star who took the part despite not having the polished acting style of Grant and Mason, but he saw this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Lo and behold, Dr. No helped Connery rise to international stardom, making him the first ever James Bond actor.

Who Will Win 'American Idol' 2026? After Watching Every Episode, Here Are Our Predictions

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 8:28am

After Monday night’s semifinals of American Idol, host Ryan Seacrest revealed that the Top 3 finalists heading into the finale were: Hannah Harper, Keyla Richardson and Jordan McCullough. All three have stellar voices and any one of them would be an excellent winner, but, of course, in the end, there can be only one.

After watching every episode, here are our predictions for who will win American Idol Season 24 (2026).

🎬 SIGN UP for Parade’s Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬

Who will win American Idol Season 24 in 2026?Hannah Harper

Hannah Harper has been a frontrunner from the get-go. During her audition, judge Carrie Underwood picked her as one of her favorites. Following Hannah’s performance of her original song "String Cheese" about postpartum depression, Carrie said, "You might be my favorite person that's walked through those doors,” and the former Idol winner has continued to support the country singer ever since.

Also in Hannah’s favor, she has the most social media followers, and her performances also reflect her popularity with the most views on YouTube.

One final factor that could work in her favor is the fact that she is the sole country singer in the Top 3, where both Keyla and Jordan are more in the gospel/R&B lane, which could split the vote between them. But country singers have always been very popular with American Idol voters, so that’s another added factor to Hannah’s benefit.

Jordan McCullough

Jordan, a worship leader from Tennessee, has the voice of an angel and has consistently earned high praise for his performances. He is the sole Platinum Ticket holder remaining of the three that were awarded this season, and his means a lot as it was voted on by his peers, who know talent when they hear it.

In fact, Carrie told Jordan that he has one of the best voices she has ever heard following his performance of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me, ” one of his two songs for his Top 5 performance.

The problem that Jordan may run into is that he has the smallest number of Instagram followers and YouTube views of the Top 3, which may result in fewer votes on his behalf.

Keyla Richardson

Like Jordan, Keyla has served as the praise and worship leader at her church, and her vocal choices are inspired by that, including her performance of “Circle of Life” from The Lion King during Disney week. After throwing her shoe [her highest form of praise], guest judge Jennifer Hudson complimented, “This song is testimony and you just performed it like your testimony.”

When it comes to social media, Keyla finds herself in between Hannah and Jordan, but as we mentioned earlier, the vote could be split between Jordan and Keyla, resulting in a win for Hannah.

Our Prediction

The bottom line is that who will win is Hannah Harper, but who should win is Jordan McCullough.

Tune in to American Idol on Monday, May 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC when the winner of Season 9 on ABC (Season 24 overall) will be revealed. Streams next day on Hulu.

12 Antiques to Look for at Flea Markets, According to Designers

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 8:15am

Wondering what professional designers like to scoop up at the flea market? We were curious, too, so we polled six experts located across the country and asked what, exactly, they'll always gravitate toward without fail. It turns out that there are lots of worthwhile kinds of items to search for at the flea—below, we're detailing 12 categories that our pros insist simply can't be missed.

1. Objects Made From Natural Materials

Jamie Gasparovic always enjoys searching for pieces made from natural materials, which are key when it comes to adding texture and personality into a room. "Think handmade pottery, marble busts and brass figurines," says the founder of Studio Gaspo. "Before buying, I make sure objects are in good condition with no obvious cracks, chips or scratches."

Marya Karlton, the founder of Karlton Kelly Interiors, agrees and especially appreciates wooden boxes. "Always great to have for styling bookshelves or coffee tables, they bring a textural element that can warm up a room," she says.

2. Lamps

Photo by Adam Bartosik on Getty Images

One can never have too many lamps, and the flea market is a great resource for finding a wide range of styles. "I have scored a few inexpensive lamps, including alabaster, that I have then had re-wired, and it's amazing how much more expensive they look when cleaned up with a new shade," Karlton says. "Splurge on a pretty new shade instead of an expensive lamp base!"

3. Books

Photo by Pieter Estersohn on Getty Images

Need some books for styling purposes? Be sure to see what's on hand at the flea market, Karlton offers. "My designer tip is to throw out the dust jackets," she says. "Often the original linen covers look great underneath and bring a lot of character and color."

4. Table Linens

Photo by Ryzhkov on Getty Images

Take a visit to the flea market prior to your next get together and you'll find plenty of pieces to help elevate your entertaining setup. "I like to buy cute sets of embroidered cocktail or dinner napkins, as well as tablecloths," Karlton says. "You can find nice handmade items, which can really elevate a table setting when mixed in with newer items."

5. Vintage Glassware

Photo by Kateryna Hliznitsova on Unsplash

Speaking of hosting, don't underestimate the power of setting out a chic set of glassware the next time you invite friends over for happy hour.  Jaime Zehner, the founder of JZ Interiors, likes to look for vintage glassware while visiting flea markets, keeping her eyes peeled for coupes in particular. "This is a simple way to build a meaningful, collected bar over time, and these pieces always feel more personal than buying a full set all at once," she says.

6. Servingware

Of course, don't forget about actual serving pieces, either! "China and serviceware are at the top of my list, especially salad plates, glassware and flatware," says Cheryl Luckett, the founder of Dwell by Cheryl Interiors, whose tabletop is shown above. "I love to entertain, and layering in vintage pieces is such an easy way to elevate a tablescape."

7. Bowls and Trays

Photo by ondacaracola photography on Getty Images

Luckett is all for decorative items that serve a function, such as bowls, trays and boxes. "They're perfect for organizing things like jewelry, perfumes or even mail and remotes, while still feeling intentional and elevated," she says. "Sometimes that looks like using a crystal dish for cotton balls in a bathroom or repurposing a vintage tray on a vanity."

8. Artwork

Getty Image

Shopping for artwork at the flea market is an excellent way to source one-of-a-kind pieces for less. "I tend to gravitate toward pieces that evoke a feeling; often a moody seascape or a soft floral oil painting," Zehner says. "There’s an authenticity to vintage art that’s hard to replicate, and it brings such warmth and individuality into a space."

Juliana Ghani Sullivan, the founder of G. Atelier Design, is also a fan of searching for artwork at flea markets. "I look for pieces with patina, a bit of age and sometimes a signature in the corner," she says. "You can usually tell when a piece is older by slightly faded, less saturated paint—and a bonus when you see thicker, more loose brushstrokes; it feels a little softer and more lived-in."

9. Picture Frames

Photo by Erica Marsland Huynh on Unsplash

Picture frames are valuable on their own even if the artwork inside of them is lacking, explains Stephanie Molster. "I gravitate toward pieces with old antiqued gold frames in particular," says the founder of Stephanie Molster Interiors. "When I swap out the original art I tend to select something more contemporary—I love the juxtaposition of the two."

10. Bud Vases

Photo by LEREXIS on Getty Images

Small yet mighty, bud vases are another one of Zehner's favorite items to source at the flea. "They’re perfect for styling throughout a home, whether it’s with a single stem on a bedside table or a cluster layered into a tablescape," she says. "They add a quiet charm and are an easy way to incorporate found beauty."

11. Single Chairs

Getty Images

Don't be thrown off by "one-of-a-kind, one off, lonely chairs," Sullivan says. After all, "You can get a very sick cool chair for cheap since it's just a single straggler." What can you do with just one chair? There are tons of possibilities! "I love using them to create layered, slightly imperfect vignettes, like by a fireplace or placed in a bedroom corner," the designer says.

"I am always drawn to sculptural shapes or anything that feels special or different, and upholstery does not scare me since a piece can easily be redone in a new fabric."

12. Case Goods

Photo by Juan Maria Coy Vergara on Getty Images

Finally, keep in mind that flea markets aren't just for smaller items—you may very well come across case goods including cabinets and buffets while shopping, Sullivan explains. "Older pieces tend to have solid wood construction and tones that are hard to find today," she notes.

"Look for details like dovetail joints, matchbooked burl and slight imperfections...they add so much character. A little wear or a few scratches only make a piece better and help a home feel layered, comfortable, and lived in."

Burger King Debuted This Sandwich 69 Years Ago — a Decade Before the Big Mac

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 8:14am

Baseball fans were speechless as Ronald McDonald stepped up to sing the National Anthem during a recent Minor League baseball game.

McDonald's clearly remains ever popular in modern society amid rising costs, and it's hard to believe the Big Mac debuted nearly 60 years ago. Ten years earlier, however, came a rival corporation's signature burger.

Burger King debuted the world-famous Whopper 69 years ago, and it's still going strong today. Check out an original Burger King commercial for the launch below.

The Big Mac came 10 years later, and it was actually just last month that McDonald's famed double-decked burger celebrated 59 years since it was introduced to customers. On April 22, 1967, a McDonald’s franchisee in Pennsylvania unveiled the now-iconic sandwich — for a whopping 45 cents, HISTORY.com reports.

According to former McDonald's CEO and driving force Ray Kroc, the Big Mac was created in response to the Whopper. In his autobiography, Kroc shared that the sandwich was in fact created because the company feared the Whopper. However, the creator of the Big Mac, Jim Delligatti, is said to have been alternatively inspired by a double-decker burger from a different competing chain: Big Boy, according to Tasting Table. What's the real story? We may never know...

Before the Big Mac, however, came the Whopper Jr. — which was created, by accident, in 1963 by Luis Arenas-Pérez, The Daily Meal reports. Upon the opening of the first Burger King restaurant in Carolina, Puerto Rico, the molds for the (standard) Whopper buns had not yet arrived to Puerto Rico from mainland U.S., so there were no buns to make and sell the company's flagship Whopper offering. Arenas opted for honoring the advertised opening date but using the much smaller regular hamburger buns locally available. The result was such a success that Burger King adopted it worldwide and called it the Whopper Jr.

4 Birth Dates Who Carry a Rare Spiritual Gift

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 8:13am

A rare spiritual gift refers to a heightened human capacity—it’s almost like a “super-sense” or advanced awareness that feels supernatural, but that operates through innate instinct. This rare spiritual gift may manifest continuously or during specific scenarios. Those who are fortunate enough to have it, however, may often feel the pressure to develop it. This is due to the energy of birth dates being the most specific a soul chose to be exposed at the time of birth. Read on to discover which four birth dates are most likely to have rare spiritual gifts.

Which Birth Dates Have Rare Spiritual Gifts?

Below are the four birth dates that carry a rare spiritual gift, along with how to develop it. Check for birth months; disregard your birth date.

Born on the 13th: You Have the Gift of Divine Feminine Creation

Once believed to be unlucky, 13 represents sacred, divine feminine energy because it aligns with the 13 moon cycles within the calendar year. Separated into two digits, the number 1 is ruled by the Sun and the most creative of all digits, and 3 is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of abundance and protection. If you were born on the 13th of any month, you hold the power of creation, whether you express it in your career or personal life. Embracing creative flow is how you invite your inner genius to come out and play. Reduced to one digit, 13 becomes 4, a number ruled by the eccentric planet Uranus. Whenever feeling like you’re running into difficulties accessing these gifts, your best strategy is experimentation. Giving yourself space to explore with different creative paths is a great way of discovering the buried talents this rare spiritual gift has for you.

RELATE?: Which Fashion Era Matches Your Birth Month

Born on the 24th: You Have the Gift of Healing

Have you ever noticed yourself either fixing or bettering a situation by just being present? Those born on the 24th of any month have the rare spiritual gift of healing. Split into two digits, 24 unites the nurturance of the number 2 (Moon) with the liberating effects of the number 4 (Uranus). Summed up, they vibrate to the number 6, bringing the restoring and loving energy of Venus. While this gift may manifest as an ability to bring peace to intense social situations, it may also work in more energetic ways. Energy healing practices like Reiki, chakra balancing, and sound healing would be a great way to develop your ability to bring flow and harmony. You may also notice meditative practices relieve nervousness and anxiety from your or someone else's aura and body.

NEXT: The 4 Birth Dates Destined to Be Rich

Born on the 9th: You Have the Gift of Collective Awareness

Some have gifts that are meant to be felt on a personal level, but those born on the 9th have the rare gift of attuning to mass consciousness. Being the last one-digit number, ruled by Mars astrologically, 9 signals the accumulation of experience throughout lifetimes. Therefore, those born on the 9th of any month come with a broader outlook on life and a more social role to play. Via their intuition, they can tap into what people need, feel, and desire. Since this gift can become very powerful, it’s important to put it in service to humanity. If you were born on the 9th, you may notice having an attractor factor, especially when it comes to groups and crowds. You are meant to be a leader, and the more you channel this gift to help others, the more success you’ll find along the way.

RELATE?: The 4 Birth Dates Who Make the Best Cat Parents

Born on the 29th: You Have the Gift of Divination

If you were born on the 29th of any month, you have eyes that see into the ethers of time. Your rare spiritual gift manifests as an incredibly keen and all-knowing intuition that penetrates every surface. Made of the number 2 (ruled by the intuitive Moon) and 9 (ruled by driven Mars), 29 is considered to be an old soul number. Since astrologically, this is a high-energy combination, you may notice visions of both the past and the future arrive when you feel more relaxed. This is your intuitive side taking over your logical side, allowing you to see and even feel what lies beneath the surface. Since your mind responds to images, learning to read the tarot would be a great way to develop confidence in this rare spiritual gift.

While some carriers are making headlines for scaling back their in-flight service, American Airlines is taking a different path by doubling down on the main cabin experience. Just as flyers are becoming accustomed to the fine print of service cuts elsewhere, American is rolling out a refreshed menu of elevated snacks and meals designed to make even a standard economy seat feel a bit more like a treat.

Starting May 1, American kicked off its centennial celebrations with a new Inflight Bites box that feels less like a basic snack pack and more like a curated pantry. Available for $10 (or 1,000 AAdvantage miles), the box leans into the "strategic luxury" trend with sophisticated options like gochujang beef jerky, lemon rosemary green olives and smoked Gouda spread. It's a clear move to provide something more substantial and flavorful for travelers who are looking for a step up from the usual pretzels and cookies.

The airline is also bringing a bit of local flavor to the skies through a partnership with the iconic Chicago family business, "NUTS ON CLARK." This addition brings a sense of regional personality to the snack cart, offering their famous roasted salted mixed nuts and sweet and salty kettle corn. For those who want something heartier, the airline is introducing a refreshed fruit and cheese tray for $13, featuring premium Tillamook cheeses paired with sophisticated sides like dried black figs and Bonne Maman honey.

Starting June 1, the options get even more substantial with the debut of a new turkey and Havarti sandwich. Served on artisan avocado bread with baby spinach and a caramelized onion-mustard spread, the $14 meal (or 1,400 miles) is clearly aimed at the traveler who wants a "convenient lunch or dinner option" that doesn't feel like a compromise. By allowing passengers to pay with AAdvantage miles and offering tap-to-pay technology, the airline is making it easier than ever to justify that mid-flight splurge. In a summer where many travelers are bracing for less, these "elevated" main cabin offerings are a reminder that a little extra flavor can go a long way in making a flight feel shorter.

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi’s 3 Kids — And the Real Reason She’s Done Having More

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 8:00am

When Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi found out she was pregnant with her first kid, she and her then boyfriend (now husband) Jionni LaValle had just gotten off a bender in Las Vegas.  “We were drinking for five days straight,” she said in a video posted to her YouTube page.

“I was like, Oh my God, what are we gonna do?” she remembered.

She was 24 and heading into Season 6 of Jersey Shore, the show that made her famous for getting wasted. “It was just like, ‘Holy s—t, now we can’t go to Vegas and party," she said. "We can’t do all the things that we were doing right now because we’re gonna be parents.’”

Still, Shooki stressed, there was no doubt in her mind that she was going to keep the baby. "I have different priorities now," she told Us Weekly in her cover reveal. "I don't care what anybody else thinks. As long as I know I'm ready and [Jionni]’s ready."

Now, almost 14 years later, she and Jionni are the proud parents of not one but three kids. Keep reading to learn more about Snooki’s family.

View this post on Instagram How many kids does Snooki have now?

Snooki has three children: Lorenzo Dominic LaValle, born Aug. 26, 2012, Giovanna Marie LaValle, born Sept. 26, 2014, and Angelo James LaValle, born May 30, 2019.

Who is the father of Snooki’s kids?

The 38-year-old reality star shares her three “meatballs” with husband Jionni LaValle, whom she married in November 2014, roughly two months after the birth of their second child, Giovanna. The couple met in 2010, while filming Season 3 of Jersey Shore

“I'm so blessed to be able to have such a loving & caring father to my beautiful children,” Snooki shared in a past Father’s Day tribute. “I'm proud of you every day for how you raise our children & respect you beyond words for being such a hands-on Dad.”

View this post on Instagram How old was Snooki when she had her first baby?

Snooki was 24 when she had her first child, Lorenzo. “[He] wasn’t planned, but he’s literally my miracle because he literally made me grow up,” she said on The Nick Cannon Show.

“Once I became a mom, I realized there’s more to life than just being selfish and partying and going crazy. I love mom life, I love my babies.”

How old was Snooki when she had her last kid?

The New Jersey native was 31 when she welcomed her third child, Angelo. “I always wanted four [kids] and I always thought I’m gonna have four kids, but after I pushed [Angelo] out, I’m like, ‘I am done,’” she told Kelly Ripa shortly after his birth.

Was Snooki pregnant on Jersey Shore

Yes. Snooki found out she was expecting her first child, Lorenzo, after filming wrapped on Season 5. By the time Season 6 rolled around in 2012, she was visibly pregnant.

“Me pregnant and filming Jersey Shore? I wasn’t having it,” she recalled in a video posted to her YouTube page. “...I was already starting to be a good mother because I was like, ‘I don’t want my body to be in that environment of drinking and partying. I wanna be healthy. I don’t wanna be by cigarettes. I just wanna be in a little bubble so my baby is nice and protected and healthy.’”

With that in mind, MTV set her up in a separate house next door to the main cast so she could still be part of the action without being surrounded by debauchery (or woken up by Pauly D screaming, “Cabs are here!”).

“I still know how to have fun. It’s just, like, a different fun,” she said in the season premiere. “For now.”

After Jersey Shore wrapped, Snooki starred in the spinoff Snooki & JWoww, which followed her transition into motherhood alongside Jenni 'JWoww' Farley. She welcomed Lorenzo while filming the third episode of the second season, “Last Call at Club Uterus,” which aired Jan. 22, 2013.

Who are Snooki’s kids? Lorenzo (b. Aug. 26, 2012)

Snooki’s first born was a surprise pregnancy, but a welcome one.

“You made me a mommy at 24 years old,” she wrote on Instagram, marking Lorenzo’s 13th birthday. “You changed my entire world for the better.”

She went on to share how happy she was to show him off on the cover of People magazine after his birth. “You were already making mommy proud by being the youngest baby at 7 days old to be on the cover,” she gushed. “I’m so proud of you in everything that you do. I LOVE YOU HUNNIE.”

Although Lorenzo appeared on Snooki & JWoww as a baby, Snooki and Jionni have largely kept him — and his siblings — off TV as he’s grown up. Back in 2012, Jionni explained, “Right now, it’s fine while he’s this young. But once school starts and I think he gets a little older, I want him to branch off from that … I kinda just want him to live a normal lifestyle.”

These days, that “normal” life is packed with lots of wrestling — a sport Lorenzo’s father excelled in and coached over the years himself.

“Gotta shout out my baby Lorenzo for killing it in wrestling!” Snooki once wrote on Instagram. “It’s in his blood, he’s my champ!”

More recently, she praised him for placing 8th in the state championships.

Snooki’s second child, whom she often refers to as her “mini-me,” arrived two years after big brother Lorenzo.

“So happy to let you know we had our beautiful daughter this morning,” Snooki shared on Twitter at the time. “Full head of black hair & perfect.”

Giovanna has followed in her mother’s footsteps as an all-star cheerleader, competing on a team recognized as NCA & SUMMIT champions. Naturally, that has made Snooki a "proud pom-pom mom” who posts often about her daughter’s accomplishments.

Celebrating her only daughter’s 11th birthday, she wrote on Instagram, “You are everything & more of the daughter I’ve always dreamed of having. “What I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving,” she wrote alongside a photo of her two older children holding an ultrasound picture.

She’d previously revealed on Season 1 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation that she and Jionni were trying for Baby No. 3, and wondered after a long stretch of drinking if she might already be pregnant.

“I never throw up,” she said. “So I’m like, okay, me and Jionni are trying to have a baby — maybe I’m pregnant.”

Her pregnancy test came back negative, but it wasn’t long before she was, in fact, expecting.

Celebrating her youngest son’s birthday last year, she wrote, “Happy birthday to my baby 😩😩 idk how you’re 6 all of a sudden but you are MY BABY forever 💙 you completed our family my munchkin. Even though you have daddy’s face, you’re a meatball like mommy.”

View this post on Instagram Why is Snooki having a hysterectomy?

In February 2026, Snooki revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage 1 cervical adenocarcinoma. It was caught early thanks to a cone biopsy she underwent after dealing with abnormal Pap smear results for years. Because it was detected so soon, her doctors are optimistic about her prognosis and that she won’t need chemotherapy. But as part of treatment, she’s planning to undergo a hysterectomy.

“I'm not great with pain, so thinking about removing an organ is scary,” she told People. “That's a part of being a woman and even though I'm done having kids, the thought of not being able to really upset me. It messes with you a little bit.”

Another emotionally taxing part of the experience? Telling her kids she was sick. "My two oldest were like, 'Are you dying?'” she recalled. “Because they know what cancer is, it scared them a little bit. But I was reassuring them like, 'No, mommy's gonna be fine.'"

‘Outlander’ Delivered a Time-Travel Story From the Books — And Wrapped It With Its Own Twist

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 8:00am

With just two episodes to go, it was always hard to see how Outlander was going to be able to wrap everything up. Well, one of the best ways to tackle that was to spend an hour purely on one storyline. That meant an entire episode focused on Jamie, Claire, and William saving Lord John Grey from Captain Richardson, who had captured him at the end of the previous installment.

While Jamie and William took care of the men watching over John, Claire was able to tackle the Richardson problem, and it came with a surprising time-travel reveal. That reveal was something written in the books, and while the ending is the show’s own, it could be how Diana Gabaldon wraps some of this tale.

Richardson’s Story Was Revealed in ‘Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone’

During Outlander’s ninth book, readers learned that Captain Richardson is a time traveler. He has come from the future in an attempt to change the past. Don’t they all?

At the heart of it, his intentions are good. He wants to help the British win the war so that slavery is abolished much earlier. During Outlander Season 8 Episode 9, he explained to Claire that it’s because his ancestor was a slave and got pregnant by her master, and he wanted to prevent that from happening so that she could be a free woman.

That’s not the full story as in the books, but part of that is likely because he hasn’t had a chance to really explain everything just yet. We do know, however, that he has come from the future to end slavery, and he thinks that Hal is the way to do that. He just needs Hal to change the speech that he’s going to give to the House of Lords.

The ‘Outlander’ Books Have a Potential Plastic Surgery Plot

It’s possible that the TV show is just quickly wrapping up Richardson’s story. As Claire allows him to leave to give him a chance to change the war, Lord John Grey shoots him in the head, instantly killing him. In the novels, that’s possibly not the full storyline.

When Brianna saw a crude drawing of Richardson, she noted that he looked a little like a man she knew from 1980s, Mike Callahan. It’s possible that Callahan was able to time travel, and maybe he got plastic surgery before time traveling so that he could blend in the past and get to Jemmy.

This does seem like a bit of a cartoonish plot for Gabaldon’s story, and it doesn’t quite fit in with the wish to prevent slavery. It’s yet unclear whether Callahan and Richardson are the same person, but the TV show has definitely made the decision not to run with that at all!

Diana Gabaldon Praises Jamie's ‘Outlander’ Season 8 Reunions — And Reveals the Scene She ‘Quibbled’ With (Exclusive)

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 8:00am

“Pharos” was the penultimate episode of Outlander this Friday, and it was full of reconciliation scenes – after the action took place – and the action was the rescue of Lord John Grey (David Berry) from his kidnapper, Captain Richardson (Ben Lambert).

Richardson was a time traveler like Claire Fraser (Caitríona Balfe) who had come up with this plan to kidnap Lord John in order to blackmail his brother Hal Grey (Sam Hoare) into changing a speech he was to make in front of the House of Lords. Hal was about to pontificate on setting America free, but Richardson wanted him to ask for more funds for the war effort to keep America as part of England.

The reason was personal. Richardson was the great, great grandson of a woman who had been a slave and he wanted to end slavery in America 85 years sooner than actually happened. King George was about to sign an anti-slavery bill which would go into effect in all the British colonies, and Richardson wanted that for the United States.

We learned all this after Jamie (Sam Heughan), William (Charles Vandervaart) and Claire tracked down the location where Lord John was being held by threatening Percy (Michael Lindall). While the men freed Lord John, Claire captured Richardson. Then she and he had a chat and she tried to explain to him that history couldn’t be changed. He didn’t quite believe her, but he promised not to hurt anyone else and she set him free. But as he was leaving, he ran into Lord John, who was so angry at Richardson, he killed him. He wasn’t just angry at what Richardson had done to him, but what he had previously done to William that almost got him killed.

Gabaldon loved the reconciliations (not-so-much the fashion)

Fans of bestselling author Diana Gabaldon, who created the Outlander series of time-travel, romantic novels, wrote this episode, but she explained to us that every script goes through at least half a dozen versions before filming starts. And even while they’re filming for a variety of reasons, so not everything we see on the screen came from her imagination.

Like me, she did enjoy the reconciliations between Lord John and William, between Jamie and Lord John, and between William and Jamie.

“I thought the long hug between William and Jamie was slightly anti-climactic, given the very dramatic (and very good) embrace in the trout stream near the end of 808. Though the apparent motive there was to absolve Jamie for deliberately deserting William at Helwater,” Gabaldon said.

“My only quibble with the 808 scene was that Jamie was wearing his good clothes (nice coat, formal pleated kilt, rather than a belted plaid, which a Scotsman would normally wear for daily work) and — God help us — knee-length leather boots to fish. I kept thinking (silently, to Sam), ‘Man, I hope you didn't trip over a rock in any of those takes...’). I mean, the thought of so much waterlogged wool cloth, to say nothing of ruining the boots. He would, in real life, be fishing barefoot (for better balance, as well as preservation of expensive footwear) and in his long shirt, tied between his legs. But directors and costume designers have their own opinions. That water's cold! Anyway, this hug was fine, too, as the point was evidently now William admitting their father/son relationship.”

The reconciliation between William and Jamie was also helped by a conversation between Claire and William later in the episode, in which she points out to him how many people he knows – herself, Brianna (Sophie Skelton), and Roger (Richard Rankin) – who were raised by two fathers, which he seemed to take to heart.

Gabaldon highlights key changes from the book — including Percy's death

But that wasn’t the only reunion. Despite Jamie coordinating the rescue of Lord John, he still felt it necessary to apologize to him for how he had been treating him since he found out he bedded Claire. But in a nice twist, John doesn’t forgive him “for the pigheaded treatment for the last 2 years.” Jamie admitted that pride kept him from seeing clearly, and he offered to let John take a swing at him. But John was more civilized, and instead they played chess, just like they used to do at Ardsmuir.

“I thought the chess-game rapprochement (and the relationship leading up to it) was very good, given the limited time,” Gabaldon said. “It re-establishes John and Jamie's relationship in a totally non-sexual (but still intimate — mind to mind) way, making it clear that they will continue to have a relationship (in the books, it's mostly done by letter).”

What also took place that wasn’t in the books was that John confronted Percy and made him sign a confession that he was part of a scheme to kidnap him and malign his reputation. Percy balked at signing, but Lord John said, “It’s your signature or blood.” And he laid a pistol on the table between them. Percy did sign, but then, as Lord John left, a shot rang out.

“Percy doesn't commit suicide at all in the books (anybody who'd been reading the books would likely realize that Percy is way too selfish to ever commit suicide),” Gabaldon pointed out. But she also said it was a nice way of wrapping up a loose end.

What she didn’t know the answer to was whether or not Marsali (Lauren Lyle) had already made a deal with Percy to get the Comte St. Germaine’s money for her family now that Fergus was dead, which was what I wondered, but we may never know, as there's just one episode left and it needs to deal with more important matters.

Kate Middleton Asked by King Charles to Change Spelling of Her Name, New Book Claims

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 7:59am

A new book claims that Kate Middleton was asked to change the spelling of her name ahead of her 2011 wedding to Prince William.

The request reportedly came from King Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, claims royal author Christopher Anderson. His latest deep dive into the royal family is called Kate! The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen.

According to Marie Claire, the future Princess of Wales was asked to change the first letter of her name. Although most Americans know the princess as Kate, her preferred and legal name is Catherine.

The reason, according to Marie Claire, is that Charles and Camilla, then the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall at the time of the couple’s wedding, were using a royal monogram featuring two interlocking “C”s beneath a coronet. Charles was said to believe that another "C" monogram was too similar to the senior royal's logo.

Marie Claire excerpted commentary from Anderson's book. He wrote that, "'Catherine' was asked to change her name to 'Katherine,' which Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, felt was a logical progression since the world knew her as 'Kate.'" Reportedly this request didn't sit well with either Kate or her husband-to-be William.

Anderson’s claim was first brought to public attention by William's brother, Prince Harry, in his 2023 memoir Spare, as reported by PEOPLE Magazine. The Duke of Sussex was reportedly shocked by his father's suggestion.

"Make it Katherine with a K, they suggested,” Harry said in the book. The Duke of Sussex was reportedly dumbfounded. “I turned to Willy, gave him a look that said, ‘You listening to this?’ His face was blank.”

The name change did not occur. Kate and William married in April 2011, and their royal monogram remained as planned.

Prince William regularly refers to his wife as Catherine in interviews. She is also known by that name in official royal communications.

West Wilson’s Mea Culpa Text Sparks Conflicted Responses from 'Summer House's Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 7:39am

After KJ Dillard read West Wilson’s apology text aloud on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Summer House stars Carl Radke and Kyle Cooke shared their reactions to messages he also sent them.

Both admitted to still being in disbelief that Kyle's estranged wife, Amanda Batula, got into a romantic relationship with West, someone Kyle considered a close friend.

"West did text me last week," Kyle told Access Hollywood. "I sent him a voice memo because I felt like it was going to take forever for me to put words down. I mean, look, I'm not the kind of guy that holds grudges. Obviously, this is a very unfortunate situation. I mean, I don't think people really realized just how close we were. So it's just tough."

Kyle continued by saying how the situation is "uncharted territory for me." And "obviously I've never gone through something like this, but obviously I don't even think I have a friend who's gone through something like this, so I don't know what the protocol is. I don't know what the playbook is."

Beyond the shocking coupling, Kyle said he was still grappling with the end of his marriage. "I was just kind of at peace with not really trying to tell my side of the story and it just is what it is," he reflected. "Now that all this, you know, the rumors were confirmed and all that stuff, in a weird way, I've tried to be there for Amanda. Just 'cause I know her mental state and just how fragile she is, and the reunion was tough with West and Amanda."

Kyle added that while he showed support for Amanda early in the scandal, he also didn't want to become her crutch either. "So I'm just trying to find that balance," he said.

Meanwhile, Carl said, unlike Kyle, he's not ready to respond to West, especially after West rekindled his friendship and possible romantic relationship with Ciara Miller.

"From what I know of what's going on and how he's kind of handling it and how I handle things, I've also been a s—–y person and done stupid things," Carl said. "But I also like really, really care how I make people feel, and part of me worries that I don't think he fully understands the impact of some of this, and we've been over this many times with him, with Ciara and everything, many dinner tables on camera, many seasons, and here we are again. So I don't have a lot of grace for some of it, but I hope he's doing OK. I wish him well, but I can't really hold space for someone like that."

Summer House is on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

Nancy Guthrie Update: Pima County Sergeant’s Statement About Annie Guthrie, Tommaso Cioni Raises Questions

Fri, 05/08/2026 - 7:39am

New information about the Nancy Guthrie case is raising questions about what the family told authorities early on in the investigation.

In the latest video uploaded to Brian Entin's YouTube channel, Brian Entin Investigates, Entin spoke with Pima County Sergeant Aaron Cross about the case. Entin asked Cross about the family making it clear that Guthrie did not wander away from home, which Savannah Guthrie said during an interview with Hoda Kotb.

"That's not the information that I gathered today," Cross told Entin. "[I heard] that the family believed that she was out there...that she had walked away."

"It's hard to say when people are under stress, they're obviously very worried about their mother, I imagine. And so maybe they were hoping for the best, that she was just nearby...it's hard to say," Cross added.

In her interview with Kotb, Savannah stated that she and her siblings initially wondered if Nancy had a medical emergency in the overnight hours and that the paramedics came and transported her to a nearby hospital. However, after calling nearby hospitals, they concluded that whatever happened to Nancy did not involve a 911 call.

Savannah said that her sister, Annie Guthrie, and brother-in-law Tommaso Cioni, made it clear that Nancy couldn't have just walked away from home.

"From the early moments, Annie and Tommy were saying 'this isn't the case that you are used to where someone wanders off. She can't wander off,'" Savannah said. She went on to say that her mother was in "tremendous pain" and she couldn't walk long distances—barely able to make it to the mailbox at her home.

About two weeks into the case, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos released a statement clearing the immediate family (including their spouses) of any involvement in Nancy's disappearance. Nevertheless, Sgt. Cross' recent comments about the case has left social media users with more questions.

Nancy, 84, has been missing since Feb. 1. Anyone with information about her whereabouts or what might have happened to her is asked to call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
