Mexico City's alcohol ban was set in place in order to "keep order and public safety." However, it will not affect the entire city, nor will it impact all FIFA fans.

1971 Rock Classic, Once Reimagining a No. 1 Hit, Became a Powerful American Anthem

Tue, 06/23/2026 - 8:08pm

Fifty-five years ago, iconic soft-rocker Carole King released her own stripped-down version of "Will You Love Me Tomorrow." While the R&B girl group The Shirelles originally took the track to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, King’s intimate reimagining breathed new life into the compostion and reignited its emotional resonance with audiences.

Released in 1971 as the ninth track on her Grammy Award-winning landmark sophomore album Tapestry, "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" quickly became a fan favorite. King and her songwriting partner Gerry Goffin originally wrote the track back in 1960 for The Shirelles, but King only took it into the studio to record for her own project a decade later.

Once The Shirelles debuted their version on November 21, 1960, it was clear this song was something special. Only a few of weeks after its release, "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" secured major chart success. By January 1961, the track had climbed up the Hot 100 to peak at No. 1.

James Taylor, recording engineer Hank Cicalo, Joni Mitchell, Carole King and record producer Lou Adler gather around the mixing desk for a playback in the control room during the recording of King's album 'Tapestry' in January 1971 in Los Angeles, California.

Jim McCrary/Redferns

Despite the upbeat nature of The Shirelles' arrangement, King took the opposite approach by stripping down the instrumentation to raw, unfiltered acoustics. Produced by Lou Adler, the track utilizes King's signature intimate vocals on top of delicate piano melody to create a deeply personal ballad. King's version allowed the beloved song to be shown in a new light, prompting audiences to further digest its tender lyrical message.

"Will You Love Me Tomorrow" explores the fear of romantic abandonment. The track captures the deep anxiety of being vulnerable with someone only to have them turn their back on you. The poignant repetition of the question, "Will you still love me tomorrow?" resonated deeply with listeners across the nation. Since its release, the song has been covered by hundreds of artists—a testament to its sweeping cross-genre reach.

The song's universal themes unite everyone participating in the human experience and mark a significant breakthrough milestone for American minorities. When recorded by The Shirelles in 1960, the track became the first song by an all-Black girl group to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, breaking historic racial and cultural barriers in a deeply segregated broadcasting landscape in America.

By framing vulnerable, emotional conflicts with unprecedented musical maturity, it gave a powerful voice to young women and Black artists who were previously pushed to the margins of mainstream music. The track's connection across the nation and continued relevance make for an enduring American anthem.

Over five decades after its release, King's version of "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" continues to reach new audiences. On Spotify alone, the song has garnered over 32.9 million streams—proving its lasting ability to connect with modern generations in the digital era.

Netflix's Most-Watched Premiere of 2026 Is Already Here — And It's Another Harlan Coben Thriller

Tue, 06/23/2026 - 7:50pm

If you’re on the fence about watching Harlan Coben’s I Will Find You, you’re probably alone. According to Netflix, the eight-episode series has the biggest premiere of the year.

With a whopping 24 million views worldwide, the four-day total makes the adaptation the number-one-streamed Netflix hit of 2026 (at least so far). That means I Will Find You just pushed His & Hers, which previously held the title with 19.9 million views, out of the top spot.

The latest series is far from the first Coben adaptation on Netflix. The list of Coben-based drama/mysteries on the streaming service also includes Run Away, Fool Me Once, Safe, Innocent, Missing You, Stay Close, The Stranger, Caught, Just One Look, Hold Tight, Gone for Good, and The Woods.

View this post on Instagram

Starring Sam Worthington, Milo Ventimiglia, Britt Lower, Chi McBride, Logan Browning, Erin Richards, and Jonathan Tucker, I Will Find You is the story of a man (played by Worthington) who is wrongly imprisoned for the murder of his son. After discovering his son might still be alive, he breaks out of prison and attempts to find and rescue the boy.

(Photo by Kristina Bumphrey/Variety via Getty Images)

As it turns out, the subject of this series is close to the cast’s hearts. Lower (who you might recognize from Apple TV’s Severance), who plays Worthington’s character’s sister-in-law, recently told Decider, “All of us in this series have young kids, actually.” She continued, “Erin Richards, Milo Ventimiglia, Sam, and myself, we kind of bonded over it. When you have young people in your lives, you would just do anything for them.”

Lower, who has two stepchildren with her husband Kenna Kennor also added, “At the core of this story is, ‘What you will do for your family and especially for a young person.’ “

Even though it just took the top spot as the most-watched Netflix premiere of 2026, the reviews are mixed. Variety called it “A dizzying, captivating experience” while The Hollywood Reportersemi-panned the series: “The brand and stars are sure to attract eyeballs, but I Will Find You is a show that ultimately is designed to be half-watched while keeping track of the World Cup, busy news headlines and other external stimuli.”

Viewers are also divided, with some raving about the series and some bashing it. One fan posted on the Netflix subreddit, “I have watched the whole thing. I thoroughly enjoyed it, I cannot even lie. It is not predictable like others claim. Get to the end, and you will find out why.” But, of course, not everyone had good things to say: “Ridiculous story…horrible show…but still watched all of it in a day” and, “Terrible show but I couldn’t stop hate watching it. The story was all over the place. The end gave me the ick.”

So, what’s the verdict? Based on the number of Netflix subscribers who tuned in and the balance of good vs. bad reviews, this Harlan Coben mystery is definitely worth a view.

This Hacks Star Admitted to Storming Out of the Emmys After a Brutal Loss

Tue, 06/23/2026 - 7:49pm

Hacks star Robby Hoffman admitted she walked out of the 2025 Creative Arts Emmys after losing in her category to a co-star.

The comedian spoke to drag queen and TV personality Trixie Mattel on the Bald and the Beautifulpodcast about her upsetting loss.

“I was there with my sister, and I was the biggest sore loser,” Hoffman shared.

She was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. Hoffman plays Randi on the comedy-drama show.

“I lose immediately,” Hoffman continued. “We’re the first award up. I immediately lost, and we woke up with all the gusto in the world.”

Her Hacks co-star Julianne Nicholson won the award for her portrayal of Mary “Dance Mom” Alice. Hoffman said she thought she’d receive the award even though she was competing with “insane” talent like Olivia Colman and Zoë Kravitz.

“We’re beyond surprised to lose,” Hoffman recalled. “I walk in, I’m already like, ‘Where am I going to put the Emmy?’ We lose immediately, my sister goes, ‘We don’t need this s–t,’ and pushes me out. She grabs me by the arm. ‘We’re leaving this s–t.'”

The 36-year-old actor explained that although she stormed out of the Emmys, she had to return because of a contractual agreement.

“I had to present cinematography. I said, ‘Nah, I don’t want to do that anymore.’ They said, ‘No, it’s part of the program!'” she revealed.

Hoffman tried to get out of her obligation to present the award.

“I was like, well, my circumstances changed. My circumstances have changed! I’m not in the mood, and they want me to read whatever’s on this teleprompter. I go, one thing I know, I’m not saying whatever the f–k they have me saying.”

Although disappointed in the night, Hoffman shared that Nicholson was “beyond” deserving of the award for her “amazing” performance.

Anne Hathaway Reveals How Rihanna Made Her Feel ‘Amazing’ About Her Post Pregnancy Body

Tue, 06/23/2026 - 7:40pm

Anne Hathaway confidently revealed her baby bump on social media last week after revealing her third pregnancy.

She hasn't always been so confident in her body after motherhood. When she arrived on the set of 2018's Ocean's 8, the Oscar-winning actress admitted she wasn't confident with how her body had changed in pregnancy.

While visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Showto promote the film back in the summer of 2018, Anne opened up about her on-set experience and her supportive co-stars.

“One of the lucky things about being in this business for so long is that I’ve really kind of come to terms with the pressure that you get to look a certain way as an actress, and I don’t beat myself up about any of that stuff anymore," she said, per Nylon. "But after I had my son, the weight was really slow to come off and so I was a different size than I normally am.”

When arriving on set, the actress admitted feeling nervous about her body, despite director Gary Ross saying: "That's great, we have eight women in this movie. We need to have as many body types up there as we can."

Luckily, her co-stars Cate Blanchett and Sandra were on hand to give the Les Miserables actress a boost of confidence. “I walked on the set, and, you know, my weight’s a little up and I’m just aware of it. And I walk on the set and I’m in my jeans, and I’ve done my best and I’m going to love myself no matter what,” she told Ellen. “And Sandy Bullock looks up and goes, ‘Looking good, mama!’ [And] Cate Blanchett’s like, ‘Nice jeans, Hathaway!' It made me feel amazing."

Rihanna also took her time to praise The Devil Wears Prada star. "And then Rihanna looks up and goes, 'Damn girl, you got an ass!' And I of course freaked out and loved it so much. I was like, ‘Really?!’ And she goes, 'You got an ass like me!'"

Hathaway has two children with her husband, Adam Shulman, and is currently expecting her third. The couple wed in 2012 and welcomed their first son, Jonathan Rosebanks Schulman, in March of 2016. She gave birth to her second son, Jack Shulman, in November 2019.

1965 Classic Rock Hit, Written by an 18-Year-Old, Was Rejected by Record Label Before Topping the Charts

Tue, 06/23/2026 - 7:38pm

It goes without saying that there were plenty of teenagers in the '60s who worshipped the Beatles and dreamed of having their own music careers...but most of those kids didn't end up actually writing hit songs. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule, and "For Your Love" by the Yardbirds is proof.

Released as a single in March 1965, "For Your Love" was the Yardbirds' first Top 10 hit in the U.S., the U.K. and Canada, thanks in large part to songwriter Graham Gouldman, who later became the bass player for 10cc.

According to George Tremlett's book, The 10cc Story, Gouldman was just 18 years old when he wrote "For Your Love." At the time, he was spending his days working at a men's clothing store and his nights playing with a band called the Mockingbirds.

As Gouldman told BBC Radio Wales, it was the music of the Fab Four that inspired him to start writing songs in the first place.

"The Beatles had started and I thought 'well, I’m gonna really have a crack at songwriting,'" Gouldman recalled.

"I had dabbled a bit, but they were really my inspiration and gave me and I think a lot of other people the courage to actually do it. We all wanted to be like the Beatles," he continued. "I wrote two songs and the record company we were with turned down one of the songs. The song they turned down was 'For Your Love', which eventually found its way to the Yardbirds."

The Yardbirds knew "For Your Love" had potential right away, as drummer Jim McCarty told Songfacts.

"To try and get a hit song in those days was quite a difficult thing to do for us," he explained. "We could come up with ideas, but our first hit song was very important for us. And with 'For Your Love' we heard it and had the demo of it and it sounded like a hit song to all of us."

"It was the sort of thing that you relied on to get into that other echelon, to have a hit song," McCarty continued. "All our contemporaries were having hit songs: The Beatles and the Stones and the Moody Blues and Animals, they were all having #1 hits and we were really trying to keep up."

The Yardbirds

Gouldman's style turned out to be the perfect fit for the Yardbirds, who also had hits with two more of his songs ("Heart Full of Soul" and "Evil Hearted You").

"They were always very original," McCarty said of Gouldman's tunes. "Very interesting songs, very moody, because they were usually in a minor key, the ones we did, anyway. 'For Your Love' was an interesting song, it had an interesting chord sequence, very moody, very powerful. And the fact that it stopped in the middle and went into a different time signature, we liked that, that was interesting. Quite different, really, from all the bluesy stuff that we'd been playing up till then. But somehow we liked it. It was original and different."

One person who famously didn't like the "original and different" direction the Yardbirds were taking was guitar player Eric Clapton, who soon left the group over concerns their music was becoming too commercial. He was replaced by Jeff Beck, who was eventually replaced by Jimmy Page.

Box Office Flop Pulls Off Stunning Comeback as No. 1 Movie on Streaming

Tue, 06/23/2026 - 7:38pm

Few moviegoers turned out for Glen Powell's latest thriller, which hit theaters earlier this year. Four months later, though, the film is relishing an unlikely second act, soaring to the top of HBO Max's streaming charts and becoming the platform's most-watched movie in the United States.

View this post on Instagram

Despite the Top Gun: Maverick actor's growing A-list star power, the film struggled to gain traction in theaters and quickly disappeared from the box-office conversation. Streaming, however, has given it a second chance, according to FlixPatrol.

Following its streaming debut on June 19, the film's rise may be driven by word-of-mouth surrounding Powell's performance, as well as its “eat-the-rich” storyline, which might just cater better to viewers at home who can enjoy the film's digs without the pressure of paying full theater prices or side-eye looks from strangers.

There's also the fact that HBO Max subscribers have embraced the intoxicating fusion of dark comedy, family intrigue, and murder -- a hit formula proven with HBO Max originals including The White Lotus and DTF St. Louis.

Starring Powell as a novice serial killer, How to Make a Killing follows the story of Becket Redfellow. A blue-collar heir disowned at birth by his affluent family, he spends the reel shredding a loophole in his family’s trust, eliminating every relative standing between him and the $28 billion inheritance he feels he deserves.

Co-written and directed by John Patton Ford (Emily the Criminal), the film takes inspiration from the 1949 British classic film Kind Hearts and Coronets, which itself was adapted from the 1907 novel Israel Rank: The Autobiography of a Criminal by Roy Horniman.

The star-studded supporting cast includes Margaret Qualley, Jessica Henwick, Adrian Lukis, Topher Grace, and Ed Harris.

Elsewhere on HBO Max’sstreaming charts are the Kirill Sokolov’s horror comedy They Will Kill You at No. 2, Steven Spielberg's gamer flick Ready Player One at No. 3, Steven Soderbergh’s disease thriller Contagion at No. 4, and David Cronenberg’s simmering mystery A History of Violence rounding out the Top 5.

Whatever held audiences back in theaters appears to be far less of an obstacle on streaming. Months after its disappointing theatrical run, the Glen Powell thriller is finally finding the audience it missed the first time around.

1979 Timeless Classic, Nearly Breaking Up Legendary Rock Band, Became a Radio Anthem

Tue, 06/23/2026 - 7:25pm

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers created one of rock music’s most enduring anthems with “Refugee,” but the road to recording the song was far from smooth.

The 1979 classic, featured on the band's breakthrough album, pushed the group to its limits in the studio and nearly caused internal fractures before becoming a major radio hit.

Today, “Refugee” remains one of the defining songs in the Tom Petty catalog. The track peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became one of the most-played rock radio songs of its era, helping establish Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers as a household name in American rock music.

The song’s success came despite a recording process that tested the patience of everyone involved.

Mike Campbell, the band’s lead guitarist and co-writer of the song, originally developed the music at home using a four-track recorder. Inspired by guitarist Mick Taylor’s playing and experimenting with a new Gibson guitar, Campbell created the foundation that would eventually become “Refugee.”

Tom Petty and Ron Blair from Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers perform live on stage at the Hammersmith Odeon before their concert on May 14, 1977.

“All I remember is giving him a cassette, telling him: ‘Here’s some demos’,” Campbell recalled, per Louder Sound. “I didn’t think much about it. Then the next rehearsal we had he said: ‘I worked on your tape and I got some words to this song.’ I said: ‘Oh, really?’ He played it to me, and I was just blown away.”

Tom Petty quickly connected with the music. According to the singer, the lyrics came together in about 10 minutes after hearing Campbell’s demo.

“I remember writing ['Refugee'] really quickly to his tape,” Petty said. “The words came really quick.”

While writing the song came naturally, recording it proved to be a different story.

The band enlisted producer Jimmy Iovine, who was building a reputation through his work with Bruce Springsteen and Patti Smith. Iovine believed “Refugee” had enormous potential, but achieving the right sound became an exhausting process.

“We just had a hard time getting the feel right. We must have recorded that 100 times,” Campbell said in a later interview, according to Far Out Magazine.

Studio tensions grew as the sessions dragged on. The biggest challenge centered on capturing the right drum performance. The repeated attempts led to frequent disagreements between drummer Stan Lynch and Iovine.

At one point during the sessions, Lynch was temporarily dismissed as frustrations boiled over.

“We were so hard on Stanley,” Campbell later admitted. “He worked really hard to get this drum sound.”

The pressure affected the entire group. Campbell became so frustrated that he walked away from the sessions altogether.

“I remember being so frustrated with it one day that, I think this is the only time I ever did this, I just left the studio and went out of town for two days,” Campbell said. “I just couldn't take the pressure anymore.”

Despite the setbacks, the band refused to abandon the song.

“We all blamed each other,” Campbell recalled. “But we never doubted the song. So we just kept at it until, finally, one day we played it and said: ‘Oh, that’s it.’”

By some accounts, more than 100 takes were recorded before the group finally captured the version that appeared on the album.

The track also helped elevate Mike Campbell’s role as a songwriter within the band. Tom Petty later pointed to “Refugee” and “Here Comes My Girl” as moments when Campbell’s songwriting talent fully emerged.

More than four decades later, “Refugee” remains a staple of classic rock radio and is widely regarded as one of the greatest songs in Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ catalog. Billboard ranked it among Petty’s greatest songs, while Rolling Stone later placed it near the top of its list of the singer’s best recordings.

If you love physical releases — and yes, they are still relevant — then you’ll want to turn your attention to the DVD and Blu-Ray release date. That’s on July 28, 2026, just a day before the Disney+ streaming release.

One of the biggest reasons to get a physical release is for all the bonus features, and while you will find some of these on the purchased Digital format, you will not find them on the streaming release. They include the featurettes:

Level Up: Updating the Icons
Inside the Fashion Closet
Front-Row Access: Shooting in Italy
“Runway” Music Video by Lady Gaga and Doechii

There is also a gag reel and audio commentary by David Frankel, Aline Brosh McKenna, and Molly Rogers.

There is also a dual movie pack, so you can own The Devil Wears Prada and The Devil Wears Prada 2 in one box set. The franchise as a whole crossed the $1 billion mark at the global box office last month, with the sequel itself proving that there is life in it, making more than $676 million.

The sequel sees Andy (Hathaway) return to Runway Magazine as the new features editor, only to realize that her boss, Miranda (Streep), needs help in saving the company. There’s a force looking to take down this empire, and Andy refuses to allow that to happen.

'The Real Wolf of Wall Street' Calls Out Leonardo DiCaprio's Portrayal of Jordan Belfort

Tue, 06/23/2026 - 6:55pm

It's been 13 years since Martin Scorsese'sThe Wolf of Wall Street was released in theaters. The stylish movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio claimed to tell the story about Jordan Belfort, who was a stockbroker guilty of fraud and stock-market manipulation. He became an informant and was sentenced to prison in 2003.

The financially and critically successful movie was controversial. Some argued that the party lifestyle depicted glamorized Belfort's, 63, crimes. The man himself also had a short appearance in the movie.

But now the subject of the movie is in a docuseries that criticizes the Oscar-nominated film.

'The Real Wolf of Wall Street' Streams on Paramount+ on July 14

The official trailer for The Real Wolf of Wall Street starts with Belfort talking about the movie. "I prefer him than Danny DeVito playing me," he said, referencing DiCaprio, in an interview.

There are clips from home videos of the yacht parties that were in the Scorsese film. The documentary dives into the dangerous things people around Belfort did for money. It also goes into Margot Robbie'scharacter, Naomi Lapaglia, who was married to the criminal. The real second wife's name is Nadine Macaluso.

"What's missing from the movie is that there is a price to pay," a man told the camera in the trailer. It cut to the FBI raiding a building. There are multiple people angry at Belfort for cooperating with the FBI who were interviewed for the series.

The scripted movie ended by revealing Belfort worked as a motivational speaker. Belfort's memoir was the inspiration for the movie. He continues to write and has released The Wolf of Investing: My Insider's Playbook for Making a Fortune on Wall Street in 2023.

A judge ordered Belfort to pay $110 million back to investors, and he paid $12.8 million back by November 2018, according to CNBC. So he is still having to pay back with what he currently earns.

Belfort married a fourth time in 2021 to Cristina Invernizzi. The Argentine actress is in the Netflix show, EN EL BARRO, or In The Mud in English. He has two children with Macaluso.

It seems like Belfort and his wife travel the world, enjoying a life of luxury based on social media. They're also able to laugh at their past. Invernizzi posted a photoshopped Instagram picture of her husband in a boardroom full of money in 2025, and tagged it as the defunct "Stratton Oakmont."

Belfort kept up with the financial industry. He made a YouTube video in 2018 called "The Bitcoin Market has Finally Run Out of Greater Fools..." He changed his stance in 2022 and held a crypto workshop, claiming to help attendees understand it, according to The New York Times.

The Real Wolf of Wall Street premieres on July 14. It will have three episodes, according to IMDb.

1971 Rock Classic, Ranked Among 'Best Guitar Solos of All Time,' Was Recorded by Accident

Tue, 06/23/2026 - 6:54pm

While most people probably think of Keith Richards first when the words "Rolling Stones" and "guitar" come to mind, the legendary rocker wasn't the only talented axman in the band...and one need look no further than "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" as proof.

Released on the 1971 album "Sticky Fingers," the unforgettable tune starts out with a nasty, infectious Richards riff...and ends with a smooth, soulful jam featuring a guitar solo Rolling Stone called "the defining moment of Mick Taylor’s five-year stint in the Stones." (RS also ranked Taylor's work on "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" at #29 on a list of "The 100 Greatest Guitar Solos of All Time").

What makes Taylor's solo all the more impressive is the fact that the Stones had no idea the jam on "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" was being recorded at the time.

"We didn't even know they were still taping," Richards is quoted as saying in the book 50 Licks: Myths and Stories from Half a Century of the Rolling Stones.

"We thought we'd finished," he continued. "We were just rambling and they kept the tape rolling. I figured we'd just fade it off. It was only when we heard the playback that we realized, 'Oh, they kept it going.' Basically, we realized we had two bits of music. There's the song and there's the jam."

"That song had such a fantastic groove going, they just let the tape running for my solo at the end," Taylor recalled, adding, "Generally, I tried to bring my own distinctive sound and style to Sticky Fingers and I like to think I added some extra spice. I don't want to say 'sophistication' — I think that sounds pretentious. Charlie [Watts] said I brought 'finesse.' That's a better word. I'll go with what Charlie said."

Indeed, Watts praised Taylor's efforts on "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" on more than one occasion.

"As a lead, virtuoso guitar, Mick was so lyrical on songs like 'Can't You Hear Me Knocking,' which was an amazing track because that was a complete jam, one take at the end. He had such a good ear, and I would help push him along," the drummer said in a 2003 interview.

It's not surprising that Taylor made a major impact on some of the most notable guitarists to emerge in the decades since he was with the Stones. In an interview with Classic Rock, Slash cited Taylor as his "biggest influence."

"My favorite Stones records were Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed and Sticky Fingers," the Guns N' Roses icon said.

"Those three were major to me, cause I was exposed to those records as a kid when they first came out," he continued. "Mick Taylor played on a couple of those records and went on for a couple more. As I got older and started playing guitar I always gravitated to his sort of style. People always mention Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck and Angus Young — all the obvious ones — but there’s guys like Mick Taylor and Joe Walsh that were as important. Mick Taylor had this really cool, round-toned bluesy sort of thing that I thought was really effective. Great rock guitar."

Of course, you don't have to play guitar to appreciate Taylor's contributions to the Rolling Stones. At the time of this writing, "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" has 147,321,268 streams on Spotify alone.

New Audiobook of 'The Odyssey' Is Narrated by Michael Caine — With a Twist

Tue, 06/23/2026 - 6:50pm

While fans await the theatrical release of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, they can enjoy an all-new audiobook adaptation with its own celebrity tinge.

On Tuesday, June 23, a reading of Homer's epic poem was released exclusively on the ElevenReader app — where fans can listen to free. And they'll quickly recognize a certain A-list "voice" behind the project...

For this latest audiobook iteration, the official artificial-intelligence voice of Sir Michael Caine serves as narrator, believe it or not.

"The Odyssey is one of the greatest stories ever told," Caine, 93, said in a statement, per ElevenLabs' recent news release. "By bridging classical storytelling with digital innovation, this epic is reimagined for modern audiences through ElevenReader. It was a pleasure to be a part of this retelling."

View this post on Instagram

ElevenLabs' original production covers Odysseus' entire journey from the fall of Troy to his encounters with both gods and monsters. It combines Caine's AI voice replica and a full cast performance of character voices, as well as original music and sound effects.

"For centuries, people have passed down stories like The Odyssey through voice and written text," said Jack McDermott from ElevenLabs in a statement. "This new production builds on that tradition. It combines human creativity and taste with AI audio tools that turn an ancient story into an immersive audiobook for today's readers."

Coincidentally, Caine has been a regular in Nolan's movies over the years (The Dark Knight, Inception), with the director's new film The Odyssey hitting theaters July 17. Its lead actor, Matt Damon, recently spoke exclusively with Parade about the movie, saying it's worth seeing for this reason alone:

“I think seeing it on IMAX, if you can, because… it was not easy shooting an entire film in IMAX," Damon, 55, told Parade. "It was really challenging, and a lot of people had to work really hard to make that happen, and so… I feel like it’s really going to be worth it for the audience.”

'When Calls the Heart' Stars Erin Krakow and Ben Rosenbaum Welcome Baby Girl

Tue, 06/23/2026 - 6:42pm

When Calls the Heart stars Erin Krakow and Ben Rosenbaum have a new reason to celebrate.

The Hallmark fan-favorites have welcomed their first baby together, a girl, in April, the couple exclusively shared with PEOPLE on Tuesday, June 23. The happy news comes less than a year after Krakow, 41, and Rosenbaum, 39, revealed they had tied the knot.

The couple is now embracing a new chapter away from the cameras as first-time parents. "Our precious new family member entered the world in early April," Krakow and Rosenbaum told the outlet. The ecstatic parents also added, "Our daughter has been the greatest gift, and we are loving getting to know her better with each passing day."

The couple joked that Krakow is no longer outnumbered by Rosenbaum and their dog, Willoughby. "It's already hard to remember life before she arrived," they told the outlet.

As for who their baby girl resembles most, the answer is still up for debate. "Friends and family have told us consistently that she looks like a total combo of the two of us, but so far, we only see a resemblance to either of us in flashes of a little facial expression or certain angles in pictures," they told PEOPLE. "She just looks like her own little person to us!"

Krakow first announced her pregnancy in November, posting a series of photo booth pictures on Instagram featuring the couple holding sonogram images.

"So much to be grateful for!!! 🥰," she captioned the adorable announcement post.

The couple first went public with their relationship in February 2024, and months later surprised fans by announcing their wedding on Instagram.

As they embrace their life as a family of three, they're also looking ahead to what's next professionally. When Calls the Heart is set to return to Hallmark Channel for season 14 in 2027.

'Star Wars' Quote Ranked the Best Line in Franchise History Started as a Simple Sendoff

Tue, 06/23/2026 - 6:39pm

There are few iconic movie lines that transform pop culture history and become an integral part of the modern-day lexicon like those from the Star Wars franchise. A new ranking names the Star Wars quote as the greatest of all time, a line that originally began as a simple, functional exit phrase in the 1977 film Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.

“May the Force Be With You” Ranked No. 1

In the new ranking, “May the Force be with you” is named the No. 1 Star Wars quote of all time. The quote first appears when General Dodonna (Alex McCrindle) addresses Rebel pilots preparing for the attack on the Death Star. At the end of the briefing, the general delivers the now-famous sendoff.

A Simple Line That Became a Cultural Signature

“May the Force be with you” was originally written as a straightforward line of encouragement, but the battlefield farewell quickly took on a life of its own. The line became the emotional signature of the entire Star Wars saga, and it is often quoted and used in everyday conversation, even if sometimes ironically, as an optimistic sendoff.

What started as a simple phrase became an iconic movie moment, one that has been repeated throughout the following Star Wars films.

Related: The 1999 Movie That Changed Horror Forever Is Returning to Theaters — and It Has a Premiere Date

Why the Quote Endures Nearly 50 Years Later

The simplicity of the quote distills the core idea of the Star Wars franchise—hope, faith, and connection to something greater—into a single, highly repeatable phrase.

Nearly 50 years later, “May the Force be with you” is a widely recognized expression and a cultural shorthand for encouragement, solidarity, and good luck. The phrase is used in everyday conversation and even appears in sports broadcasts and political speeches.

A Movie Quote That Transcended Star Wars

While many famous movie quotes become tied to a particular scene, “May the Force be with you” needs no context, and its meaning has expanded far beyond the Star Wars universe itself.

Much like “Show me the money!” from Jerry Maguire and “I’ll be back” from The Terminator, this Star Wars quote has not only encapsulated a franchise’s sentiment but has also become part of everyday language, separate from its original cinematic context.

1985 Hit, the Only No. 1 Bond Theme Song, Became a Timeless Anthem

Tue, 06/23/2026 - 6:31pm

James Bond always gets the villain. But scoring No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 is another beast altogether. Though dozens of global superstars, from Adele and Paul McCartney, to Madonna and Tina Turner, have tried, only one musical act has managed to achieve the feat in the U.S. And that’s Duran Duran.

The English New Romantic pioneers unleashed their synth-pop crossover hit “A View to a Kill” on May 6, 1985, and it became a massive success. Marrying Duran Duran’s danceable sensibilities with legendary composer John Barry’s soaring orchestration, the track is tense, it’s rapid, it’s Bond, James Bond. But its greatest accomplishment had little to do with the film itself.

In the band’s native U.K., “A View to a Kill” peaked at No. 2. In the U.S., however, it went one better, becoming the first—and only—James Bond theme song to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Several have come close, including McCartney and Wings’ “Live and Let Die” and Carly Simon’s “Nobody Does It Better,” both of which stalled at No. 2

Though later Bond themes by Sam Smith andBillie Eilish topped the U.K. charts, neither was able to match Duran Duran’s singular achievement in America. A collective effort, the song was written by all five band members: Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Andy Taylor, and Roger Taylor, with support from Barry.

“It’s quite a deep production, this song, on top of the rhythm structure,” bassist John Taylor says in a video. “One regret I have is I refused to make a 12-inch dance mix, but whatever, the song was a worldwide No. 1.”

He adds, “It was fun to be part of the James Bond franchise, it was a funky collection of '80s icons that were a part of it.”

While Duran Duran’s track was making history on the charts, the film was carrying the iconic franchise into a new era.

A View to a Kill marked the end of Roger Moore’s run as 007. The actor starred in seven Bond films, taking him from age 45 to 57 and making him the oldest actor to play the legendary secret agent created by author Ian Fleming. His swan song — an action comedy that sees Bond and an oil heiress (Tanya Roberts) team up to foil a relentless microchip magnate (Christopher Walken) — cleaned up at the box office, raking in more than $150 million on a $30 million budget.

Though critics panned it, A View to a Kill is now widely regarded as the ultimate transition film, taking the franchise from campy and lighthearted to the gritty, modern action style that followed with Timothy Dalton, and then Pierce BrosnanandDaniel Craig in the driver's seat of the Aston Martin.

Meanwhile, the song was a connector of its own, bridging the espionage franchise and 1980s MTV pop culture.

Four decades later, Duran Duran’s “A View to a Kill” remains the gold standard for Bond themes in the U.S. As fans wait for the announcement of the actor who will inherit the tuxedo in Denis Villeneuve and Steven Knight’s Bond 26—whether it’s Callum Turner, AaronTaylor-Johnson, Jacob Elordi, or someone else entirely—another question looms just as large for music lovers: Who will record the next great Bond theme?

Until then, Duran Duran’s chart-topping classic remains a reminder of the rare magic that can happen when the right song meets the right 007.
