World Cup Tourists Are Obsessed With These American Fast Food Stops and Convenience Stores
The real winners during the FIFA World Cup tourist era have been American gas stations, chain restaurants, and the fast-food scene. Places including Buc-ee's, Taco Bell, and Waffle House have driven American culture-obsessed international travelers to seek out the joys of our modern national treasures.
Every day, American pit stops and dining staples have been going viral on TikTok as soccer fans from all over the globe explore the 11 FIFA World Cup host cities. Here are just a few of the most moving moments of discovery our overseas neighbors have had.
Buc-ee'sIt's Costco meets Seven-Eleven meets Disneyland with its own mascot. People with families in the south have been obsessed with making pilgrimages to Buc-ee's when visiting for the holidays, so it makes so much sense for tourists to be amazed by the sheer volume of its convenience goods. Here's a Japanese tourist entering the western wonderland that is Buc-ee's:
@kawaiiguytyMy first time buc-ees🐿️with @buckywildchild #texas #bucees #japaneseboy #dallas #ワールドカップ
♬ オリジナル楽曲 - kawaiiguyty - kawaiiguytyThe brisket-chopping showcase is a ritual you have to see to believe, and it clearly astounds visitors who witness the meat-candy window show. There are so many variations of chocolate-covered nuts, so many cuts of beef jerky, and pretty much all the snacks you can imagine to exist, and some you didn't even know existed (Beaver nuggets, anyone?). And then if you're familiar with Cracker Barrel's home goods and gift shop, imagine that, but in Costco proportions with pet supplies to boot. It's no joke how obsessed everyone is with Buc-ee mascot-emblazoned goods and onesies. All hail the beaver.
Waffle HouseWith tourists proclaiming on TikTok, "Waffle House would heal Europe," the diner chain known for its late-night chaotic shenanigans is seeing an influx of international visitors. The breakfast food stop is blowing minds. There are even friendships forged over maple syrup on stacks and grits, such as this guy who treats a Spanish tourist to his first Waffle House experience:

Taco BellTaco Bell is to Mexican food what KFC is to Southern food, an artifice that's more American fast food than authentic but addictive nonetheless. Take, for instance, the combination of KFC and Taco Bell, which is generation-defining for a lot of us, and so is the nostalgia for the value menu prices of the 90s. Pretty sure the nacho cheese is baked into my DNA at this point from the sheer amount some of us have consumed from childhood. So naturally, we had to introduce it to our global neighbors in town for the World Cup.
One tourist calls it "The Holy Land," and that tourist, known as @FreddyLA7 on X, has been amassing a huge following for his adventures across America ahead of the World Cup. Seeing his journey trying our most popular digestive tract destroyers that we just can't get enough of has been a joy and fun community-building experience. Let's hope he wasn't in the middle of a crowd the next day, needing to find a stadium toilet post-haste.

— Freddy🇩🇪 (@FreddyLA7) June 7, 2026 Chili'sThe mozzarella cheese sticks, the baby back ribs, and the chips and salsa have tourists in a chokehold. Particularly, the endless nature of complimentary chips and salsa at any restaurant is eliciting unabashed gratitude, such as the tourist from Japan whom Barstool Sports covered as one of the most standout interactions for claiming to get "Chipped to death".
Chili's, which, like Taco Bell and KFC, is more commercialized, still draws in appeal through its appetizing menu and drink selections. "The choices are overwhelming," Aussie tourist Holliday_Jones shared on TikTok over a BBFC (Big Blue Fruity Cocktail). "I just want to get one of everything." Another family below offers a full review of the variety of foods they were surprised to find on the menu.

Costco might be famous for its $5 chickens and $1.50 hot dog and soda combo, but there’s more to the wholesale giant than just groceries. Seniors can take advantage of significant savings on prescriptions, healthcare, travel, and more just by utilizing all the services offered with their membership.
The Membership MathBoth Costco membership options are affordable for most retirees, and often come with shopping perks. The Gold Star membership costs $65 per year, while the Executive costs $130 and offers a 2% annual reward on qualified purchases, including travel.
You’ll need to spend around $3,250 a year to break even on the upgrade, but that’s not as hard to do as you may think. Once you add up prescriptions, insurance, travel, and, yes, groceries, that Executive membership can be a cost-saving measure you hadn’t thought of before.

Costco TravelThe travel services are often underutilized by members. You can save on everything from full vacation packages to rental cars and more just by booking through the website, according to the website TastingTable. The site notes that your club membership acts almost like a personal travel agent; a luxury many people don’t think they can afford.
If you aren’t sure how to navigate the travel section, you don’t have to worry. There’s a dedicated Costco team who can help you plan. Whether you want a fully automated vacation with a preplanned itinerary or a choose-your-own-adventure situation, the employees are there to help. The Help Center is listed at the top of the Costco Travel site, or you can call the number there.
It’s worth noting that you should contact Costco only using the information provided on the official website. Other sites listing phone numbers, email addresses, or websites to visit for assistance may be fraudulent. When in doubt, head into your local store for more information.
Home & Auto InsuranceAccording to SmartFinancial, Costco members saw an average auto insurance premium decrease by about $595 in 2022. Costco itself doesn’t offer the insurance, but it partners with underwriter CONNECT to get members discounts.
Did you know that shopping around for insurance every few years can get you much better deals? Insurance companies make it sound like loyalty programs will get you the best price, but comparing your current deals against the discount Costco offers could end up saving you money. This is especially helpful to retirees on a fixed budget.
Bundling your home and auto insurance through Costco will also help save money, up to 18% as noted by AutoInsurance.org. Costco partners with home insurance underwriters, according to Learn Home Insurance, to help members save 5%-20% off home policies.
And still, those aren’t all of the savings available with your membership.

Medical AssistancePrescriptions, eye exams, vitamins and supplements, hearing aids, mobility aids, and more can all be acquired through the warehouse giant for potentially huge savings, reports MoneyTalksNews. You can even buy a casket with your membership, although that may be more closely tied to estate planning than it is to medical necessities.
Savings are significant, too. A hearing aid routinely costs upwards of $3,000 other places, but with your membership, it comes in around $1,600; a nearly 50% savings according to SeniorSite.com!
Costco even fills pet prescriptions at often better prices than the other stores. You and your furry friends can both enjoy discounts on what you need to stay happy and healthy.

Time To Compare PricesAccording to AskChapter, Costco doesn’t offer a senior discount, which is good to know before you sign up. That doesn’t mean the other savings don’t make up for it. Whether you’re dreaming of a Hawaiian vacation or looking to save on insurance, Costco likely has options.
If you didn’t know about most of these discounts, they’re worth taking a look at now that you do. Log in to the website to compare prices on insurance and travel, and stop in to see how much you can save by switching over your prescriptions. Costco might get you through the door with budget-friendly bulk buying, but it’s the services that most people don’t even consider that offer the best savings.

1971 Classic Ballad Became a Breakup Anthem, Despite Only Reaching No. 10
Fifty-five years ago, iconic singer-songwriter Carly Simon released "That's the Way I've Always Heard It Should Be," a song that, despite never claiming the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, persevered as a definitive breakup anthem.
Released in April 1971 as the lead single from her self-titled debut album, "That's the Way I've Always Heard It Should Be" was a breakthrough success. Even though the song never reached the absolute top position, it thrived on the Hot 100. By July, the track peaked at No. 10, spending 17 weeks on the chart and marking a major milestone in her early career.
"That's the Way I've Always Heard It Should Be" achieved significant commercial triumph alongside its chart success. During its initial run, the track sold over 400,000 copies in the U.S. alone—a major feat for a debut project—and earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 14th Annual ceremony. Outside of the single's solo success, the parent album eventually went on to be certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for its massive commercial impact.

Produced by Eddie Kramer through Elektra Records, "That's the Way I've Always Heard It Should Be" is recognizable for its intimate, cinematic soft-rock sound. The track incorporates Simon's emotive vocals over a melancholic piano melody and steady rhythm section to create a sophisticated production that pulls listeners in instantly. The song's somber arrangement works in tandem with Simon's raw lyrics to form an undeniably haunting atmosphere.
Co-written by Simon and her frequent collaborator Jacob Brackman, the track explores romantic hesitance within a relationship. Simon and Brackman write about the uncertainty of marrying a partner simply to fulfill a structural societal expectation. Through confessional lyrics, the narrator expresses her desire to remain alone and part ways with her lover out of fear that the relationship will strip away her identity—a message that continues to resonate deeply with modern audiences.
Over five decades since its release, Simon's debut single continues to strike a chord in the digital age. On Spotify alone, the song has accumulated over 13.6 million streams—a testament to her enduring ability to reach new generations through her music.

Nancy Guthrie Update: New Information on Ransom Note Claims Savannah Guthrie's Mom Is Dead
The mystery surrounding the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie's mother has taken another heartbreaking turn.
According to NBC News on Monday, June 22, the second letter sent to media outlets in connection with the case contains a troubling claim that Nancy Guthrie, 84, is dead. The letter was reportedly received by KOLD News 13 in Tucson, Arizona, which also received an earlier note shortly after Guthrie vanished.
While investigators were already aware of the second note, the contents had not previously been made public. According to NBC News, this is the first time it has been reported that the message allegedly claimed Nancy had died.
The first note received by media outlets claimed Nancy was safe and demanded cryptocurrency in exchange for her release. The second message, however, reportedly differed significantly and did not request money. According to NBC News, investigators have examined both letters and believe they may be credible.

The case has remained under intense scrutiny since surveillance footage surfaced showing an armed, masked individual outside Nancy's home on the morning of her disappearance on February 1. The FBI has since identified the individual as a suspect. Nearly five months later, investigators continue to search for answers.
Meanwhile, TMZ reported on June 22 that the original ransom note they received was authenticated by the FBI. The outlet also revealed it had exchanged numerous emails with a man claiming to know both the identity of the kidnappers and Nancy's whereabouts.
According to TMZ, the individual initially requested one bitcoin in exchange for information before later sending a message indicating that "time is no longer of the essence"—a statement the outlet interpreted as suggesting Nancy may no longer be alive.
Despite the developments, authorities have not confirmed Nancy's fate. The investigation remains active, and the Guthrie family continues to hope for answers.

'Dr. Quinn' Stars Jane Seymour and Joe Lando Reunite on 'Harry Wild' — And Reveal the Real-Life Crisis That Bonded Them Forever (Exclusive)
It’s a Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman reunion on Season 5 of Harry Wild, which began streaming today exclusively on Acorn, and Parade had the pleasure of speaking with Jane Seymour and Joe Lando about their highly anticipated on-screen reunion as Harry Wild and Pierce Kennedy and their classic TV roles as Dr. Quinn and Byron Sully respectively.
“It's really great working with Joe,” Seymour told Parade. “It comes easily. We play off one another really well regardless of what we're playing. There's a chemistry, an energy, a camaraderie. We're comfortable together, so it's always fun. It's like playing tennis with a really great partner.”
Seymour had broached the idea of Lando joining the series previously, but it's an Irish-English production, which meant that there were union clearances that had to be dealt with to make it happen, and now those hurdles have finally been cleared with permission granted for Lando to join the series in its fifth season as Pierce Kennedy, a charming and brilliant new State Pathologist whose arrival quickly makes waves in Harry’s world.
The chemistry between the two actors is clear, even though they long ago decided they were better as friends than romantic partners in real life, and the best part is that they’ve kept that friendship this entire time, so much so that when Lando’s home burned down in the Pacific Palisades fire in California, his family moved into Seymour’s Malibu home for almost two months.
“I'm fortunate enough to have quite a large house on two stories,” Seymour says of their time together. "The fires were terrifying. So many people lost their homes. I came close to losing mine."
“It was Upstairs Downstairs for real,” laughs Lando, whose family of seven, plus two large dogs and two parakeets, took over the lower level. “We were waking up together, and it was that awkward ‘oh!’ first thing in the morning, having breakfast and cooking for one another.”
In fact, during this time, Lando used his skill as a chef to prepare their meals, and it was made easier by the fact that he had had an emergency camping stove in the back of his truck when he arrived at Seymour’s home, because the gas in Malibu had been shut off.
“She had a generator we could use, but nonetheless, I cooked breakfast and lunch on that little grill for like 9-10 people, but it was a great bonding experience,” Lando said. “It's like going camping for a while in Malibu.”

“We never knew what he was going to cook up, but I grow a lot of our vegetables and fruits in the garden organically and we also have chickens, so we had eggs,” Seymour added.

"It's not easy being around someone who's suffering like that but she did it and thankfully we had time to get on our feet and because of her, we were able to find a house that wasn't something we just moved into spur of the moment like so many people had to and then were stuck there," Lando added. "We're very happy with where we're living and the future looks bright."
The two had to relocate from Malibu to Dublin for filming Harry Wild, which in Season 5 deals with the most dangerous and complex cases to date. The team -- Harry, her young partner Fergus Reid (Rohan Nedd) and her son Charlie Wild (Kevin J. Ryan) -- take on undercover operations, chilling murders and relentless criminals…all with the help of Pierce, whose sharp instincts and natural chemistry with Harry prove invaluable.
“I love solving the mysteries,” Seymour said. “What I love about playing Harry Wild is that really anything goes. It's comedic, it's meaningful, it can be romantic, it can be dangerous, it's academic. I just find it's a great role. Also, sometimes Harry goes undercover and pretends to be something she’s not, like a little old lady from Scotland or something who's hearing’s gone as she goes [looking for clues]. The writers are so good.”
Only three episodes of Harry Wild were released for preview, so it’s unclear as yet whether romance will blossom between Harry and Pierce, despite Harry’s having invited him out, and it may take until Season 6 according to Lando.
“Against his better judgment, he keeps turning down these invitations from Harry,” Lando explained. “He knows that there's something there between them, he can feel it, but there's also something else in his past that is holding him back. What we don't know yet. The writers have written two different endings for the show.”
Joe Lando in 'Harry Wild'Photo Credit: Szymon Lazewski/AcornTV
Both Seymour and Lando feel blessed to have starred in Dr. Quinn, and they are not averse to reprising those roles, but despite the success of Yellowstone and Marshals, CBS isn’t feeling the love for a reboot.
“We don't know the circumstances,” Seymour says. “We don't get it, but maybe they'll one day change their minds. The last thing I heard was that westerns weren't current. I went, ‘Really.’” Then she adds “We're very happy doing what we're doing right now. The reason I chose Harry Wilde to do over other things is that I've never seen that show before. It's not Murder She Wrote. It's something different. It's that sort of genre [cozy murder mystery], but I think it's also very empowering to women of a certain age.”
Harry Wild season five begins streaming today exclusively on Acorn TV with one episode and new episodes streaming weekly through Monday, July 27.

Queen of Pop Reveals Why Her Biopic Was Canceled
Madonna has finally revealed why her long-anticipated biopic was shut down at Universal.
In Interview Magazine, the iconic pop star addressed why the movie of her life was reportedly stalled in January 2023.
"I was supposed to make a movie about my life," Madonna told the publication. "I worked on my script for two years and spent two years at Universal Studios with the line producers doing budgeting and casting."
The hitmaker then admitted that she "had a falling out, me and Universal, regarding budget." The film was expected to star Weapons actress Julia Garner. Madonna had handpicked the star herself.

(Photo by Kevin Mazur/WireImage for Live Nation)The 'Vogue' singer believed she needed a big budget to bring her "extraordinary" and huge life to the big screen, but Universal Studios "couldn't get their heads around it."
While we might not get to see Julia play the performer on the big screen soon, the pair were spotted in Venice filming together for Season 2 of Seth Rogan‘s Apple TV show The Studio.
Madonna even said that she found a way to make the biopic for less money abroad, but Universal Studios still had its doubts.
"Maybe they just didn't believe in me. One of their first reactions was, 'We don't believe you'd stay in Serbia more than four days.' And I said, 'Did you read the script?' My whole life has been survival. I'm not going there for a holiday," she said.
The 'Hung Up' hitmaker then said Netflix reached out to adapt her life into a TV series, but she couldn't use the script she had written unless she brought it "for an extortionist's price."
Now, Madonna has turned her hand back to the thing she knows and loves best: Music.
"I was like, 'Good thing I have another job because I need to work, I need to create. I need to do what I was put on this earth to do,'" the 67-year-old said. Confessions II, Madonna's first studio album since 2019's Madame X, is out on July 3.

’90s Music Legends Bring Rock Festival Set to a Sudden Stop and the Crowd Erupts
Cypress Hill got a standing ovation last night, but not for bringing down the house with “Insane in the Membrane.” The reason is actually a lot more levelheaded.
It happened while the West Coast alternative rap-rock pioneers were performing their main stage set at the Rock in Rio Lisbon Festival last night, June 21, and were one song away from the end of their showcase.
B-Real of Cypress Hill at the High Hopes Concert Series / Getty Images
Hyping the crowd for a raucous cover of “Jump Around,” vocalist B-Real noticed something off with a fan in a yellow shirt and halted the performance. According to NME, the rapper then said, “I’m sorry about this, but we gotta make sure he or she is OK.”
The gesture was followed by cheers and applause from the massive crowd, with the rapper then directing security toward the “unwell” fan and instrucing the crowd, “Everybody clear a path for the man in the man in the yellow.”
The audience applauded again, even though it meant that Cypress Hill had to leave the stage and fans wouldn’t get to hear the bouncing party anthem.
Fans took to social media to share their thoughts on B-Real’s handling of the situation.
“Respect to Cypress Hill for stopping the concert at Rock in Rio because a person felt unwell in the middle of the crowd and asked everyone to make space for her and the security guards to go there,” a fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Be-Real’s caring reaction to a fan in distress comes at a time when music festivals are being scrutinized due to incidents like the fatal fall atGoose’s Madision Square Garden show, where a 51-year-old fan died after falling from a balcony, and the 2021 Astroworld tragedy, where 10 people died from a fatal crowd crush.
The live music environment has grown more dangerous due to hyper-aggressive crowd behavior and a culture of artists encouraging fans to breach security. Inadequate safety protocols prioritizing profit over crowd control has only led to increased incidents.
Before the incident, Cypress Hill performed “Illusions,” their 1996 deep cut that has since been revived on TikTok. B-Real responded to the song’s newfound popularity in a 2024 interview, saying the attention proves his band’s music is “timeless.”
“As of late we’ve noticed, in the last few years, in the spot where we actually play that song ‘Illusions,’ we say, ‘Make some noise if this is your first time seeing Cypress Hill,’ and about 70% of the venue, who are young, are out there making that noise.

The 1975 Longest-Titled No. 1 Album in Billboard History Was Named One of the Decade's Best
In 2016, an English band known for ambitious pop-rock experimentation achieved a rare Billboard milestone that still hasn't been matched.
When The 1975 released I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It on Feb. 26, 2016, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In the process, it set a record that remains intact today: the longest-titled No. 1 album in Billboard chart history.
The record was highlighted again this week when Billboard examined the wordiest titles ever to top the Billboard 200. According to the publication, The 1975's second studio album remains the longest title ever attached to a chart-topping album, containing 16 words and 71 characters.
The album arrived at a pivotal moment for the band. Formed in England in the early 2000s, The 1975 had already built a devoted following with songs such as "Chocolate," "Sex" and "Robbers." Their self-titled debut album reached No. 1 in the United Kingdom, but their second release pushed them to a new level of international success.
Frontman Matty Healy first teased the unusually long album title through a series of cryptic social media posts before the group officially announced the project in 2015. The rollout included a dramatic rebranding that saw the band's social media accounts briefly disappear before returning with a new pink-and-white visual aesthetic that became closely associated with the album era.
Musically, the album was even more ambitious than its title. Drawing inspiration from pop, rock, R&B, synth-pop and electronic music, the 17-track collection featured fan favorites including "Love Me," "The Sound," "A Change of Heart" and "Somebody Else." The latter has become one of the band's most enduring songs and continues to attract millions of streams years after its release.
Critics embraced the record's scope and willingness to take risks. Publications including Rolling Stone, NME, Pitchfork and The Guardian ranked it among the notable albums of 2016, while NME later named it its Album of the Year. The album would eventually appear on numerous best-of-the-decade lists as well, including being named No. 6 Album of the 2010s by NME.
Commercially, the project was just as successful. It debuted at No. 1 in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, becoming the band's first chart-topper on the Billboard 200.
More than a decade later, plenty of albums have challenged listeners with lengthy titles, but none has surpassed The 1975's chart-topping mouthful. The record for the longest-titled No. 1 album in Billboard history remains exactly where it landed in 2016.
I Tried 21 Different Spicy Chips To Find the Very Best—and the Winner Won by a Landslide
Chips might just be one of the world's most perfect foods. Crispy, salty, crunchy, sweet, savory or spicy...I truly love them in any form. While potatoes are often the star of the chip aisle, tortilla chips, yuca chips and other crunchy creations have earned a permanent place in my snack rotation, too. But when it comes to snacking, few things are as addictive as a spicy chip. Whether you're reaching into a bag during movie night, piling them onto a burger for extra crunch, crumbling them over chili, or serving them alongside your favorite sandwich, the right spicy chip can absolutely make or break a meal.
There's something about the combination of heat, salt, and crunch that keeps you reaching back into the bag for "just one more." And while I enjoy seriously spicy foods, I've found that the best spicy chips aren't always the hottest ones. The real winners balance heat with flavor, offering something beyond a simple burn.
Over the last few years, spicy chips have evolved far beyond basic jalapeño flavors. Grocery store shelves are now packed with everything from hot honey and ghost pepper varieties to spicy kimchi-inspired creations, spicy ramen-flavored chips and even chips that promise to taste like an entire slice of pizza. Some lean smoky, some sweet, some citrus, and others are designed to test your spice tolerance.
As someone who never passes up a new chip flavor, I knew it was time to put some of the most popular spicy chips to the test and find out which ones are actually worth adding to your cart. I gathered 21 spicy chips from grocery stores, specialty markets, Trader Joe's, Aldi and Target, then tasted them side by side to determine which bags delivered the perfect combination of flavor, crunch and heat.

How I Chose the Spicy ChipsCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
For this taste test, I focused on the spicy chips I regularly spot while grocery shopping, along with a few that have become fan favorites over the years. Some were chips I'd enjoyed before, while others were completely new discoveries that caught my eye while wandering the snack aisle.
I spent more time than I'd like to admit scouting grocery stores to pull together a lineup that felt representative of what's actually available to shoppers today. The result is a mix of classic favorites, trendy newcomers and a few unexpected finds that deserved a shot.

To put these chips head-to-head, I spread every bag across my patio table and got to snacking. Rather than taste them alone, I turned the ranking into a family affair while my husband and I were hosting relatives. Everyone sampled, debated, compared notes and passionately defended their favorites. Some people prioritized heat, others focused on flavor and a few simply wanted the best crunch.
By the end of the afternoon, we had empty bags, plenty of opinions and a clear ranking of which spicy chips truly delivered and which ones left us reaching for something else.
Parade
21 Spicy Chips, Ranked Worst To BestLet's see who brought the heat...
21. Clancy's Spicy Margarita Potato Chips (Aldi)Courtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
I was genuinely excited to try these because the concept sounds like a lot of fun. Margaritas, good! Chips, good! Unfortunately, they don't deliver much margarita flavor or spice, tasting more like a mild lime chip than anything else. A creative idea, but not one I'd buy again.
20. Ruffles Buffalo WingCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
As a lifelong Ruffles fan, this one was a disappointment. You get a quick hint of buffalo sauce at the beginning, but the flavor quickly fades and never really develops into anything memorable. I wanted more heat, more tang and a lot more buffalo.
19. Wegmans Hint of Jalapeño Tortilla ChipsCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
The keyword here is definitely "hint." These tortilla chips are pleasant and slightly sweet, but the jalapeño flavor is so subtle that I almost missed it entirely. They're tasty, just not spicy.
18. Kettle Brand Jalapeño Potato ChipsCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
The texture is exactly what you'd expect from Kettle Brand, thick, crunchy, and satisfying. Unfortunately, the jalapeño flavor feels muted, leaving these a bit forgettable compared to stronger contenders.
17. Clancy's Kettle Jalapeño Chips (Aldi)Courtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
These have a nice kettle-cooked crunch, but the jalapeño flavor doesn't quite come through. There's a little bit of pepper flavor, but not enough to make them stand out in a lineup this competitive.
16. Wegmans Kettle Cooked Jalapeño ChipsCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
A perfectly fine kettle chip with a subtle jalapeño note. While I enjoyed the texture, the spice level was very mild and left me wanting more flavor. Bonus points for the way the bag seals, I love that in a chip bag, nothing's going stale with an zip top!
15. Late July Hawaiian HabaneroCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
These lean much harder into the Hawaiian side of the equation than the habanero. The pineapple flavor is front and center, while the heat stays firmly in the background. I really liked this flavor and they're enjoyable! Just not necessarily what I'd reach for when craving something spicy.
14. Zapp's Hotter 'N Hot JalapeñoCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
These deliver a nice jalapeño flavor and have that signature Zapp's crunch. They're flavorful, snackable, and would be especially good piled onto a sandwich or burger. I generally love a Zapp's chip (shout out to their Voodoo flavor!), and the quality is great...but this flavor was definitely not hotter 'n hot.
13. Cape Cod Sweet & Spicy JalapeñoCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
Of all the traditional jalapeño flavored kettle chips I tasted, these were my favorite. The sweet-and-spicy balance works really well, and you actually get a distinct jalapeño flavor instead of just generic heat.
12. Masa Tallow Tortilla Chips, Hatch ChileCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
I was recently introduced to Masa Tortilla Chips and they continue to impress me with their quality and flavors. These aren't particularly spicy, but they deliver an authentic hatch chile flavor that tastes fresh, smoky and incredibly well-rounded. The beef tallow they're fried in seems to add extra richness and bring out more flavor.
11. Doritos Late Night Hot Honey PizzaCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
This might be one of the most unique chip flavors I've ever tried. Somehow it genuinely tastes like hot honey pizza, capturing the sweet, savory and slightly spicy notes you'd expect. These were a fun surprise and a flavor I'd happily buy again.
10. Kettle Brand- Spicy KimchiCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
I was blown away by how accurately these captured the flavor of kimchi. They have that signature fermented tang, a little heat and tons of savory flavor packed into every bite. It's a unique chip that stands out from almost everything else on the shelf.
9. Utz Red HotCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
The bright red color immediately caught my attention, and thankfully the flavor delivered. They're not aggressively spicy at first, but the heat sneaks up on you and lingers. If you love hot sauce, you'll probably love these.
8. Trader Joe's Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips Chili & LimeCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
Trader Joe's version of Takis remains one of my favorite spicy snacks. They're perfectly crunchy, loaded with chili-lime flavor, and I especially love crushing them over salads for a spicy, unexpected crouton situation.
7. Masa Traditional Tortilla Chips, CobaneroCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
This flavor really won me over. The chip itself is sturdy and deeply flavorful, while the spice creeps up slowly and settles in the back of your throat. The smoky flavor makes these feel far more sophisticated than your average spicy chip.
6. Kettle Brand Krinkle Cut Habanero LimeCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
These were the hottest chips in the lineup and one of the few that actually had me reaching for water. The habanero heat is bold, but the lime keeps everything balanced and bright. If you're a true spice lover, these belong in your cart.
5. Good & Gather x Roy Choi Spicy Ramen Yuca ChipsCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
I already love a good yuca chip, but the seasoning here takes things to another level. They somehow taste exactly like spicy ramen, with the yuca adding a subtle sweetness that works beautifully. This was one of the biggest surprises of the taste test.
4. Utz Mike's Hot Honey Potato ChipsCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
Utz already makes one of my favorite potato chips thanks to their thin, crispy texture. Add Mike's Hot Honey seasoning and you've got a perfectly balanced sweet-and-spicy snack that's incredibly hard to stop eating. These are pretty perfect.
3. Clancy's Ridged Hot Chili Lime Potato Chips (Aldi)Courtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
These absolutely over-performed. The ridged texture delivers great crunch, while the seasoning perfectly balances heat, citrus and savory flavor. I'd happily serve these at a backyard party, stack them on a sandwich or eat them straight from the bag.
2. Trader Joe's Ghost Pepper Potato ChipsCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
As a self proclaimed Trader Joe's superfan, I'm embarrassed to admit the hundreds of times I've been in the store, I've never purchased these because I was too intimidated by the words "ghost pepper". Thankfully, they're far more flavorful than painfully spicy, with a smoky pepper flavor and incredible lattice-cut texture. After years of avoiding them, I'm officially a convert.
1. Late July Jalapeño Lime Tortilla ChipsCourtesy Jeanette Donnarumma
These checked every box for me. The balance of spicy jalapeño, bright lime and authentic corn tortilla flavor is nearly perfect, and the avocado oil gives them a clean finish. Whether you're eating them by the handful or using them to top chili or tortilla soup, these are the spicy chips I'd buy again and again.

After tasting 21 different spicy chips, one thing became very clear: heat alone doesn't make a great chip. The best chips balanced spice with flavor, delivering enough kick to keep things interesting without overwhelming the chip itself. Some of the biggest surprises came from flavors I initially overlooked, while a few highly anticipated bags failed to live up to their promises.
Whether you prefer the sweet-and-spicy combination of hot honey, the smoky heat of ghost pepper or the bright citrus kick of chili-lime seasoning, there's never been a better time to be a spicy chip fan. And while every snacker's heat tolerance is different, the top-ranked chips on this list are the ones I'd happily buy again and probably finish in a single sitting.

1978 Rock Classic Became a Timeless Road Trip Anthem Despite Never Reaching No.1
Rock fans have more than likely belted out the chorus of Eddie Money's "Two Tickets to Paradise." The hard rock/power pop track became Money's signature song, which was inspired by a complex romance that ended up becoming a road trip staple.
By the time the track was released, Money was already known among fans for "Baby Hold On," with "Two Tickets to Paradise" having been part of his 1977 self-titled debut album. It was later released as a single in 1978 and landed at No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Despite never reaching No. 1, it landed among fans as an enduring anthem about getaways and escaping on the open road.
"Two Tickets to Paradise" became a classic rock radio staple, with Money having been inspired by his own relationship. According to SongFacts, Money became a police officer like his father and brother. Being a true musician, it didn't stick, and he fled to San Francisco to enroll at the University of California, Berkeley. He soon met a sorority girl he fell in love with, but whose parents hated him.
"Her mother would do everything in the world to get her away from me on the weekends so she could meet a nice young doctor or lawyer or CPA," he said in an interview with Frank Jenks.
"I wrote 'Two Tickets To Paradise' about taking a bus ride to the California redwoods. I had been up there going to court in Arcadia, which is in northern California, for something I was holding that wasn't mine... but we won't get into that. I wanted to take her on a bus ride up to the redwoods. 'Two Tickets To Paradise' could be anywhere: could be Hawaii, could be anywhere. It's a state of mind."
In an interview with KSLX, Money expresses how proud he is of the song and never expected it to become his biggest hit. He adds that he's even seen fans use the song on their headstones.
"Two Tickets to Paradise" has left a long legacy in the rock genre and pop culture. It's been covered in The Simpsons, The Office, and a video game staple like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Guitar Hero. It gained resurgence when used in a 2012 Geico commercial where Money appears as a travel agent singing his own song. Money revealed that they had initially hired an older woman, but she was fired when his wife wanted to be in the commercial. The song also became the title of his jukebox musical about his life.

IKEA Is Selling a Set of 2 Underbed Storage Boxes That Make Decluttering Look So Sleek

Not sure about you, but I've reached the point where I look at every square inch of my house and immediately start wondering what I could store there. That awkward gap above a closet, the top shelf of a cabinet and the space under the bed all feel like prime real estate, assuming I can make the storage situations discreet. Because at a certain point, you realize that staying organized isn't necessarily about getting rid of everything you own—it's about getting a little more strategic about where you put it.
The challenge is finding those storage solutions that don't make your home feel like a warehouse. Nobody wants bins stacked in every corner or boxes taking over the room. That's why hidden storage is such a breath of fresh air. It lets you reclaim valuable space without adding visual clutter, which is basically the organizing equivalent of having your cake and eating it too. I want that for you as much as I want it for me.
FÅGELFJÄLLET Underbed Storage Box, Set of 2, $60 at IKEAIKEA
Shop It!Few spots are more underutilized than the area beneath the bed. For many, it's either collecting dust or housing a random assortment of things we've shoved there in a moment of desperation. With the right storage system, like the FÅGELFJÄLLET Underbed storage boxes at IKEA, that forgotten space can become one of the hardest-working areas in your home.
The IKEA set includes two underbed storage drawers designed to make use of all that unused space for only $60. (The price is the same for the twin/full and queen/king-size sets.) It's made from a combination of fiberboard and particleboard to keep that price budget-friendly. The drawers have a simple, streamlined look that blends in rather than calling attention to itself.
At just under eight inches tall, they're roomy enough for everything from extra bedding and off-season clothing to shoes and accessories, regardless of which size set you purchase. And while, yes, these were designed to blend in seamlessly with the IKEA FÅGELFJÄLLET bed, they work under a variety of other bed frames as well; just measure out the space under yours before purchasing to make sure they fit.
Plus, there are two colorways available—one with a black oak effect and the other off-white. This way you can choose a hue that looks more "hidden" in your bedroom depending on the color scheme.

Baskin-Robbins Fans Are ‘Running’ to Try Viral New Sundae
There’s a new dessert sensation taking over social media, and what started out in New York City has quickly spread across the country and is now available, with a twist, at select Baskin-Robbins locations nationwide.
We’re talking about dot cakes, a sprinkle-covered dessert that first went viral when social media users started sharing the sweet treats purchased at Butterfield Market in Manhattan. The individual cakes in a small cup, which come in chocolate, vanilla chip, red velvet, and classic white, are topped with a layer of frosting and covered in rainbow sprinkles, or “dots.”

Now, there’s an ice cream version courtesy of Baskin-Robbins, which features confetti cake, sweet icing, and a colorful layer of rainbow nonpareils, paired with your Baskin-Robbins ice cream flavor of choice. The brand took to Instagram to share the limited-time offering, sharing an image of the dessert with the caption, “you asked, we delivered. Dot Cake Inspired Sundae can now be found at select Baskin-Robbins® while supplies last.”
Fans jumped into the comments to share their excitement, writing that they were “running” to get their hands on some, because they “gotta try this.” “Looks delicious,” said a third as another commenter simply wrote that they “Need one.”

Rory McIlroy Body-Shamed a Heckler at the U.S. Open — But the Reaction Isn't What You'd Expect
Pro golfer Rory McIlroysparked a backlash following his loss at the U.S. Open on Sunday. A video of the Masters winner allegedly fat-shaming a heckler recently surfaced on X, and McIlroy’s critics have plenty to say. But wait, their response isn’t what you’re thinking.
What did Rory McIlroy do to cause a backlash at the U.S. Open?In the video, McIlroy swings as a fan (scratch that, critic) screams, “Get in the bunker! Bunker! Get in the bunker! I hope you live there today.” McIlroy walks away to cheers of “Let’s go, Rory,” And while the pro golfer doesn’t say anything to the heckler, he does apparently mock the man, making a big belly hand gesture.
While some eagle-eyed social media users take that to mean McIlroy is indeed fat-shaming the spectator, it isn’t entirely clear what happened.
Rory McIlroy fans have something to say about the U.S. Open and the PGAEven though a celeb supposedly fat-shaming a fan might spark criticism, in this case, it had the opposite effect.
McIlroy’s supporters flocked to social media, backing up the athlete with comments such as, “The PGA and club need to start enforcing rules. Every spectator needs to be warned in advance that inappropriate behavior will result in immediate removal from the event”, “They should be dismissing these fans immediately after making a comment like that. There needs to be a precedent made for these rude mornonic people at the course. It’s not a WWF match” and, “The PGA is already a failing organization…they should do something about this behavior…what you allow, you condone.”
When US Weekly posted this story on Instagram, more of McIlroy’s fans joined in and supported the golfer. One commenter wrote, “Good for Rory,” while others said, “I don’t blame him one bit” and “They can always dish it, but they can never take it.”
This isn’t the first McIlroy-versus-a-fan controversy for the golfer. During the 45th Ryder Cup, fan taunts turned ugly, getting to the point where McIlroy had to say, “I’m not going to putt until they shut up.” In May, when a fan shouted at McIlroy during the final round of the PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club, he fired back with an expletive of his own, telling his heckler to “shut up.”
Based on the most recent responses, it looks like McIlroy’s fans stand by the golfer and believe, according to one X commenter, “The hecklers don’t respect the game.”
‘I Tried Using a Walking Pad for 30 Days—Here Are My Honest Thoughts'
Parade aims to feature only the best products and services. If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.
As a health writer, I am acutely aware of the effects of a sedentary lifestyle. Every month, I write stories in which cardiologists, personal trainers and primary care doctors emphasize the importance of movement beyond planned exercise. More than a decade ago, the American Heart Association pointed out the dangers of a sedentary lifestyle, including increased risk of heart attacks and death from cardiovascular disease.
In the advisory, the American Heart Association noted that U.S. adults spend six to eight hours daily sitting and defined this as part of a sedentary lifestyle. Ironically, all of the time that I spend writing about the importance of movement is spent sitting. Once I file one story, it's usually onto the next.
I am keenly and personally aware of how devastating heart disease can be. My paternal grandfather died of a heart attack, and my father needed two heart transplants during his lifetime. My gene pool isn't the best, and my day job, while it pays the bills (and covers my yearly cholesterol tests), doesn't meet my movement needs. I work from home, so I don't even have to dash to the train station or the parking lot to the door to clock in on time. My desk is less than a football field from my bedroom.
I exercise daily, incorporating at least 30 minutes of cycling or running six days per week, plus five to six strength-training sessions. Still, it's possible to maintain a sedentary lifestyle even if you meet the AHA's weekly guidance of 150 minutes of moderate-intensity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity, plus two strength-training sessions. I'm living proof, but I'd like to do what I can to protect myself against the risks of sitting too much, including heart disease, weight gain, cancer, diabetes and premature death.
About two years ago, I started seeing videos of influencers on walking pads—AKA slower-moving treadmills. They were working from home, watching a show or reading. I was intrigued, but turned off by the $500 sticker prices. Instead, I watched with FOMO. When my Parade editor offered me the chance to try the trend and increase my time moving, I jumped at it.
After unboxing my walking pad, I was a bit disappointed at first, but I tweaked my plans, and everything changed. Here's my honest review of what it's like to use a walking pad for 30 days.
How Using a Walking Pad StartedBeth Ann Mayer
Shop It on AmazonI knew that the challenge of using a walking pad for 30 days would force me to rethink my sedentary habits. I received a Merach MR-T27 walking pad in May. (Full disclosure: It was complimentary, but the company didn't pay me to write this review.)
When the pad arrived on my doorstep, I was pumped and eager to unbox it. Despite all of my strength training, I have to be honest, it was heavy. My husband lugged it in. From there, it was actually pretty easy to move around because of the wheels. It fit nicely under our bed, and I was able to wheel it into the kitchen, which I figured would double as a walking desk.
It was also a cinch to use. All I had to plug it in and use a remote to increase the speed (the maximum was four miles per hour) and incline (12% maximum).
I originally planned to spend two hours per day (one hour at a time) working while walking on the pad. I had to abandon that immediately. After one hour on the pad, I felt so motion sick. It was also pretty awkward to try to type and walk at the same time. I'm just not that coordinated. I would've given it more of a college try, but the motion sickness was a dealbreaker.
In a moment of serendipity, I flipped on Forever 35, a favorite podcast, the next day. Manoush Zomorodi was a guest. She spoke about her new book, Body Electric: The Hidden Health Costs of the Digital Age and New Science to Reclaim Your Well-Being, which details how just five minutes of gentle movement every 30 minutes could improve your health, including blood sugar and blood pressure management. Yet, she said that some people may choose different intervals and still see some benefits.
That sounded great to me. I had a new plan: Walk for at least five minutes on the pad once every hour. I would not work while doing it.
Here's what happened next.
What Happened When I Used a Walking Pad for 30 DaysBeth Ann Mayer
Working while walking on a pad was not for me. But using it for five minutes an hour absolutely was. Here are the physical, mental and cognitive changes I noticed after using a walking pad to break up my workday for 30 days. Here's what I noticed:
- My step count soared. I averaged nearly 800 more steps per day in May than in April, inching my count closer to 9K. There are a lot of different ranges for the "ideal" step count goal, from 2,337 steps to lower cardiovascular death risk to 7,000 steps for your overall health. Either way, I'll take it as a win.
- My mood and energy improved. Sitting all day makes me tired and blah. Ironic, right? Moving for just five minutes every hour made me happier during the day and even when I shut down for the evening. I felt more accomplished because I took breaks.
- I was more creative and focused. Speaking of productivity, I recently wrote a story on the importance of taking a lunch break for your creativity. As I wrote about how breaks help the brain reset attention and consolidate information, I ate my lunch. Ironic, right? I am humbled—yet happy—to announce that I experienced less writer's block and was far less tempted to scroll through social media instead of working on stories. It helped me finish up to an hour earlier on some days.
- My posture and stiffness got better. Taking breaks every hour forced me to reposition my head and back, so I experienced far less neck and lower-back pain.
- I missed walking outside. Doing the walking pad daily meant I walked less outside. I'm an outdoorsy woman and enjoy looking at nature as I move, especially in mild weather (and the weather was mostly mild in May). I did less of that when I walked on the pad.

My Tips for People Interested in Using a Walking PadI'm not a personal trainer or doctor, but I am someone who adores movement and is always trying to improve her health. After using a walking pad for 30 days, I'd love to offer some tips for people considering one.
- Do what works for you. There are many ideas for what an "optimal" routine on a walking pad looks like. In my case, I could not mimic influencers and work on a walking pad. That's OK. I found what worked for me and enjoyed the physical and mental changes that came with it.
- Drink water. Walking may not look like a lot, but it's a physical activity, especially if you're moving at a brisk pace. Be sure to hydrate—I drank about 12 ounces of water more per day because of my added movement. There's no set amount of water everyone needs to drink per day, but people who are physically active often need more.
- Stretch. Changing positions by walking is great, but again, it's still movement. Some gentle hamstring, quad and glute stretches before and after a workout can make sure that you don't get "benched" by tweaking something on a walking pad.

Is a Walking Pad Worth It?I plan to continue using a walking pad, but I'll incorporate more outdoor movement during the summer months (as long as it's not scorching). I see it becoming a regular part of my daily routine when it's freezing out again. Still, it inspired me to move for five minutes hourly—I plan to keep that habit.
A walking pad is worth it if:
- You have a desk job and work from home
- Have space (see the size before purchasing, and ensure you know where to put it)
- Want to increase your movement (and experience the health benefits that come with it)
- Feel sore after sitting all day
It may not be for you if:
- You have an underlying condition (check with your doctor first)
- Get motion sickness (you may be able to use it if you aren't reading or typing, though)
- You don't have room
- You have an active job
- You never work from home and spend most of your time out and about
Now, don't mind me as I take five.
